David (who does not like the crepe) is wrong when he says the crepe is magically supposed to fall off the crepe maker. You peel it off easily. It ain't rocket science David. I guess it is just hard to please some people. This product is a good deal.』
(Perfect Crepes - Once you get the hang of it.) 『The first 2 did not come out right - I don't think it was hot enough. But the third and all the way to the final come out perfectly. My 10 y.o. son even had a fun time making crepes with this. I love this little kitchen tool!』
(Easy crepes -- no kidding!!!) 『I had always wanted to try making crepes but was intimidated by how difficult everyone made the cooking process sound. My husband bought this for me and my first try was a resounding success. I was a little worried that this would be one of those gimmicky kitchen gadgets that doesn't really work, but it does a great job. I actually have a lot of fun using it, and it goes really fast.』
(Fabulous Idea) 『We love to make crepes, but they were a pain to get just the right 'thin' ness. This is a great "toy" and the crepes come out perfect every time...』
(Worst Item in my Kitchen) 『This is the least functional kitchen tool I have ever used. When you heat it up and hold it upside down in the crepe batter it's supposed to hold the right amount of batter for a crepe. Then, when the crepe is done, it's supposed to fall right off onto your plate. Neither works. The crepes are far too thin, and usually have many small and large holes in them. The surface is always either too hot or too cold.』 『Features a 7.5-inch nonstick surface, cordless cooking plate, and an electric base with cord wrap.』

(Cute growth-chart) 『Very cute growth-chart for our two-year old- but the stickers are not very durable, and she managed to rip-off most of them (even though I super-glued them on)! And since you write dates and/or milestones on the stickers next to the height measurement, now we can't tell the date or event that her height coincides with.』
(Excellent and beautiful growth chart) 『Eeboo is a great company, and this is an awesome growth chart. Incredibly sturdy and beautiful, with magical musical fairies in the tree, and leaves to stick on with the child's age, so you can record the child's growth. Would highly recommend! My son is 3 and it's in perfect condition (got it when he was born.)』
(So cute, and pretty sturdy too.) 『This growth chart is so cute and colorful. My one-year old loves looking at the characters and I like the fact that I can fold it up and store it if and when she starts grabbing at things on the walls. The extra stickers are very handy. We're already marked them for her actual birthday, 6-mo, 9-mo and 1 years birthdays.
The card stock is very sturdy and I didn't find any issue with measurements being wrong because of the binding tape.
』 『Musical Fairy Tree Growth Chart illustration by Melissa Sweet is a beautiful gift, certain to be treasured! eeBoo's unique format includes a beautifully illustrated, heavily laminated chart that folds up and fits inside a sturdy gift box. Measures up to 60 inches. The chart comes with 32 stickers for marking Birthdays and other important occasions. A perfect gift idea for a new baby!!』

So easy to make in the Easiyo yogurt maker, but you can also use your electric yogurt maker-just mix this up in a quart jar (and pour into the little cups if thats what you have)put into yogurt maker and wait 10 hour, put in refrigerator for at least 4 hours.』 『It is a full-cream, flavored yogurt that is ideal for growing children, active energetic people and the elderly, who all require good sources of absorbable calcium, protein and all the trace elements found in milk fat.

Here we've got Scott Joplin, Jelly Roll Morton and Fats Waller all in one place and time. How can you go wrong with just that and there's more. 16 tracks of just good old ragtime tunes. Played in the style of the original artist on a real player piano from 1910 with old paper rolls from the archives.』
(Bow to YOur Papa!!!!) 『This disc is one of my favorites in the ragtime genre..and I listen to a lot of them. I especially like to crank up the volume on the final track right before I get to work in the morning. The gate guard looks at me a little peculiar, but nothing gets you rolling like a little Regal Stomp.. the duet (even though it's a piano roll by Jimmy Blythe and his cousin) is just a tremendous piece of music. When you combine this track with ones by Jelly Roll Morton, Eubie, Fats, James P. Johnson and the 'King' Scott Joplin, it just doesn't get any better. If you've missed this disc, get it now!』
(A must-have for ragtime lovers) 『These songs are not only classic ragtime, most of them are being performed by the original artists. Despite the age of the recordings, the sound reproduction is excellent. If you are a ragtime fan, DO NOT miss this one!』
(Fantastic) 『Digital recordings from player-piano performances. You can still hear some faint sounds of the player piano in the background, but that does add some charm to the effect. Bravo for the producers who found a nice way to preserve performances that otherwise might have literally disintegrated.
There are 3-4 tracks by several well-known artists performing their own works. Very enjoyable.』
(Terrific ragtime!!!) 『Performing Ragtime Music while touring the world with Gunther Schuller and the New England Ragtime Ensemble for 25 years, I never tired of this happy, toe-tapping music. Discovering this gem of recorded samples of Joplin, Morton, Johnson and Blake brings back many memories of performing this music for 25 years with the New England Ragtime Ensemble. We even got to meet Eubie Blake in Joplin, Missouri at their Ragtime Festival in the early 70's. Sweet guy with enormous hands. The tempi are a little fast, but that's due to the technology of the time, ie. piano rolls. There was only a set amount of time to record their music. Joshua Rifkins tempi are good but still a tad faster than what we as a group performed their works. One must admire how flawless the playing is. There was no stopping and going back to correct mistakes like today with digital. And the artists are still phenomenal in spite of having a time constraint. Listening to the cd on headphones, one can even hear the actual piano action while the piano is playing. IMPRESSIVE!!!

Core2Duoノートレビュー 's review (Australian Heroes in World War I) 『This book tells the story of a heroic charge by Australian Light Horsemen, which opened the way into Palestine/Israel. They were not calvarymen, but actually mounted infantry. It's an exciting story. It is unfortunate that the author did not properly proof and edit his book, but it's well worth overlooking the typos. A movie (quite separate from this book) also tells the story of the Light Horsemen. 』
(Great war film) 『This is one of the best war movies from WW1. Historically very accurate, it has my favorite components of horses and war action. This movie centers on the true story of the Australian Light Horse, and their actions in the Middle East [Gaza] fighting the Turkish Army. It has a good character story, and the viewer gets involved with the film. Heroic men with the will to win. First rate.
IMPORTANT: Unavailable in USA video format, you must have a "region-free" DVD player for this DVD to work.』
(Must see movie) 『This is one of the most exciting war time epics I have ever seen. Visually stunning with a memorable score by Mario Millo. This is the true story of the last mounted charge in history. Australian Lighthorsemen attack the German-Turkish stronghold at Beersheba during World War One. Excellent in every way, and one of the most exciting charge sequences ever committed to film.』
(Buy this movie!) 『I've owned two versions of this DVD. One, produced in China, will work on a standard American DVD player without modification. The other, produced in Australia, requires a little tweaking of the DVD player due to the format, PAL instead of NTSC, and DVD region. The Dutch version should be similar to the Australian one.
Fortunately most DVD players are produced for multiple markets and easily convert between regions and format. The settings aren't in the manual, but are readily available on the Internet. Make sure your DVD player has this capability, though, before buying a foreign DVD and finding it won't work on your system.
The Lighthorsemen is a fictionalized account of the 1917 Battle of Beersheba in which Australian mounted infantry, "Lighthorsemen", used as cavalry succeeded in getting under the Turkish guns and capturing the wells of Beersheba, thus turning the tide of the war in Palestine and enabling Gen. Allenby to meet his goal of capturing Jerusalem by Christmas. The pacing at first seems a little slow, but the production quality and acting are excellent, and the final cavalry charge alone is worth the price of the DVD. Scenes from the movie were used in an episode of The Young Indiana Jones Chronicles, but inexplicably The Lighthorsemen was never released in the U.S.
History buffs will spot a number of interesting historical characters. These include:
Richard Meinertzhagen, a controversial British intelligence officer and amateur ornithologist, once described by T.E. Lawrence (Lawrence of Arabia) as "a strategist, a geographer, and a silent laughing masterful man; who took as blithe a pleasure in deceiving his enemy (or his friend) by some unscrupulous jest, as in spattering the brains of a cornered mob of Germans one by one with his African knob-kerri." Meinertzhagen mislead the Turco-German force into believing the British attack would center on Gaza, not Beersheba. Part of this deception involved arranging for a satchel of documents to be "captured" by the Turks, an episode portrayed in the movie.
Baron Kress von Kressenstein defeated the British in the first two battles for Gaza, thus earning the Pour le Merite. One of the German officers in command of the Ottoman Army during the war, Kressenstein was described as "the inspiration and brain of the Turks in Palestine for the first three years of the war" by military historian and theoretician Liddell Hart.
Those interested in the events and people portrayed in this movie will find accurate information in the Wikipedia and on several Australian websites.』
(Being there.) 『While I love this movie, I don't think it is as good as the Aussie classic,`Gallipoli'. Having said that, it holds a very special place in my heart.
When `The Lighthorsemen' premiered in Australia in I think, 1988, I was in the process of interviewing a dozen or so local First World War veterans (they are all gone now). One, Douglas Ellibank-Murray, rode with the 12th Lighthorse Regiment during WW1 and participated in the charge at Beersheba. He told a fascinating tale of his time with the 12th after having enlisted as a young drover (cowboy), along with his horse.
While Doug` was happy to speak about his service and the assault on Beersheba in particular, he would not talk about what happened when the Aussies reached the Turkish trenches. This, despite my persistent if gentle probing. I suspect that things happened there that Doug` wanted left alone. There has been talk of Turkish soldiers having `surrendered' then firing on the Australians. It has been reported that some arbitary executions were carried out in response.
One of my life's greatest pleasure was to accompany Doug to the movie's local premier where he was, of course, guest of honour. While quite frail, he appreciated all the attention, especially from the young ladies present. He was still a charming and quite handsome man, not unlike the 19 year old, blue eyed and blonde haired drover who had enlisted back in 1915.
I watched Doug closely out of the corner of my eye throughout `The Lighthorsemen' and the only time he appeared to become animated was when the actual charge was underway; he was moving about quite a bit and I suspect, he was there again.
After the movie, Doug offered a number of technical comments including the fact that the Turkish trenches were inaccurately portrayed as relatively straight, when in fact they were of saw-tooth construction.
The fate of the `whalers' (the name given to the horses, most of who had come from the AUSTRALIAN State of New South Wales). Many were in fact `put down' rather than end up pulling a `gypoe's' (Egyptian) cart in downtown Cairo. Doug was in a bit of a state worrying about what would happen to his own beloved horse until approached by a Britsh officer who had admired the horse and wanted to take it to his next posting in India to be used as a polo pony.
After assessing the `Pommy' officer and his handling of the horse, Doug agreed. The officer wrote to Doug for many years telling him about the horse which was eventually retired and died of old age in India.
Doug Ellibank-Murray was a lovely man and then a living legend of that famous day in October 1917.』
Core2Duoノートレビュー 's review (A Masterpiece!) 『This strange, interesting, mysterious, and some times confusing movie was filmed by Michael Powell whose cinema photography is uniquely pleasing to the eye. You can even shut the sound off and watch the light, shadow, form, line, etc. With the sound on you will hear music and sound highly appropriate to each scene....especially the dialogue. The acting, casting, actors, etc....fantastic. To bad we in American rarely make a great movie....we just keep turning out crap.』
(Don't expect The Wife of Bath) 『This is another of those movies I caught on late-night TV, and eventually ended up buying.
In some ways it kind of reminds me of Rudyard Kipling's "Kim". There's not really a plot, as such, there's just people who come together for a while, do their thing, and part.
A couple of things make it clear this is a WWII propaganda film made to encourage wartime Anglo-American friendship and understanding: Sgt Johnson impresses the locals with his knowledge of lumber, and then goes on to slam isolationists who oppose the Lend Lease program. At the end he is completely overwhelmed by the glory of Canterbury Cathedral, but remains proud of his small rural church back in Oregon.
What else to say. Well, Kent is laid out in all its glory. I lived in the UK for a couple of years in the mid 1980's, and got to travel all over, including to Kent. Seeing the hop gardens, drying sheds, and the manicured British countryside brought a nostalgic lump to my throat.
Great movie. I think I'm going to go on a Criterion Collection WWII movie buying spree.』
(A Treasure of a Film) 『A CANTERBURY TALE is an enchanting film from British filmmakers, Michael Powell and Emeric Pressburger. The film takes place during the height of World War II and originally served as a propaganda tool for the British Ministry of Information. But underneath the exterior of the film, there is a deep underlying meaning of revisiting and taking a pilgrimage to the past in order to understand the present.
Powell and Pressburger invoke British romanticism and spiritualism that is clearly shown with the shadow and light essence of the film that is exceptionally conveyed and characterized through the cinematography. Undeniably, the beautiful English countryside and village landscape offers a quaintness and familiarity that echoes home in terms of American versus British identity, which is seen and heard in the conversations between American G.I., Sgt. Bob Johnson (John Sweet) and British soldier, Sgt. Peter Gibbs (Dennis Price) as they speak atop a grassy hill as well as throughout the film. Also, there is a complex subplot that involves Alison Smith (Sheila Sim) who served in the British Women's Land Army and the town's Magistrate, Thomas Colpepper (Eric Portman), which is ambiguously portrayed.
Overall, THE CANTERBURY TALE is indeed on the list of thought-provoking films. It subtly recants Chaucer's original tale, but it is an original Powell and Pressburger production that that resonates the history of England. This is definitely a film that should be viewed more than once.』
(Fine Film - Glorious Remastering - But Needed a Single CD) 『Criterion here offers a remarkable film; quiet and unprentenious and unspoiled by heavy plot machinations or ersatz pumping-up of story. The battle of the village boys remains the high point, but the entire film resonates the director's love for his native Kent countryside. The amateur American actor gives the interplay among the characters a decided contrast and conveniently served to mark the differences between the American and the British. The cinematography was as natural as ever with this team's films. Criterion offers this as a set of two CDs. Good as the extras are, they end up raising the price to the point I fear very few people will give this film a look. Too bad. 39.99 is is a pretty steep toll for a film most Americans will be taking a chance on. But the quality is certainly first class, so those buying the CD will have as fine a version as possible.』
(England - land of hope and glory) 『I am so glad this extraordinary film has been remastered, returned to its original edit, and preserved on DVD. I love some of Michael Powell's films -- some I'm lukewarm about -- I love this one. A CANTERBURY TALE is quite lovely. It's not quite perfect -- don't be put off by the little "glue man" mystery -- it's a device -- and it works in the overall plot. These actors are superb, and the film is a moving tribute to England and her people during the darkest days of WW II. I cannot say enough about how beautiful it is. Be sure to watch the special features and read the essays in the booklet that all make up this very special DVD package. Don't miss this one.
A side note from a native Atlantan -- this is the film which Margaret Mitchell was crossing Peachtree Street to see when struck by a hit-and-run driver.』 『One of the most beloved of all British films,A Canterbury Talemarks yet another occasion to celebrate the Criterion Collection's growing DVD legacy of Powell and Pressburger classics. Originally conceived as good-natured propaganda to support the British-American alliance of World War II, the film became something truly special in the hands of the Archers (a.k.a. writer/director/producers Michael Powell and Emeric Pressburger). Taking its literary cues from Chaucer's titular classic, it begins with a prologue that harkens back to Chaucer's time before match-cutting to present-day August of 1943, with the night-time arrival of U.S. Army Sgt. Bob Johnson (played with folksy charm by John Sweet, an actual American GI) on the shadowy platform of Canterbury station in the magically rural county of Kent (where Powell was born and raised). He is soon joined by two fellow train passengers: Alison Smith (Sheila Sim), a brashly independent recruit in the British Woman's Land Army; and Peter Gibbs (Dennis Price), a sergeant in the royal Army, and before long they're tracking clues to find "the glue man," a mysterious figure who's been pouring "the sticky stuff" on unsuspecting women as the midnight hour approaches. Their investigation leads to Thomas Colpeper (Eric Portman), a village squire whose local slide-shows celebrate life in an idyllic rural England threatened by wartime change. As Graham Fuller writes in an observant mini-essay that accompanies this DVD, is this a whodunit? Historical documentary? War film? Rustic comedy? It's all these and so much more: As photographed in glorious black and white by Erwin Hiller (faithfully preserved by one of Criterion's finest high-definition digital transfers),A Canterbury Talehas an elusive, magical quality that encompasses its trio of Canterbury "pilgrims" and translates into a an elusive, spiritually uplifting sense of elation that has made it an all-time favorite among film lovers around the world.--Jeff Shannon
On the DVDs In addition to one of the most crisply detailed black-and-white transfers you're ever likely to see, disc 1 ofA Canterbury Taleincludes a feature-length commentary by film historian Ian Christie, author of the now out-of-printArrows of Desire(the definitive study of Powell&Pressburger films) and a foremost authority on British films in general. Disc 2 is loaded withCanterburyextras, including a pleasant reminiscence by actress Sheila Sim; a documentary about John Sweet (who is seen visiting Canterbury in 2000, for the first time since filmingA Canterbury Talein 1943); and a charming new documentary that follows contemporary Canterbury "pilgrims" as they revisit locations used in the film. There's also "Listen to Britain," a seven-minute video-installation piece inspired byA Canterbury Taleby artist Victor Burgin (and programmed to loop from start to finish and back again, as it did in museums); and the original "Listen to Britain," by Humphrey Jennings--a classic wartime documentary from the classic era of British non-fiction film that celebrates the sights, and especially the sounds, of rural England in the early 1940s. All in all, these are excellent features that placeA Canterbury Talein evocative historical context.--Jeff Shannon』

(On Par With the Original; Decent) 『After the success of the first film in 1972, 1974 saw the release of The Nine Lives of Fritz the Cat. Unlike the first film, written and directed by Ralph Bakshi, this was written by Fred Halliday, Eric Monte, and Robert Taylor, as well as being directed by the latter.
The film is told in a series of short vignettes, each detailing a misadventure in the life of Fritz the Cat.
Skip Hinnant returns to voice the feline, now unhappily married and living on welfare in the 1970s. The movie opens with Fritz being berated by his wife. So, being a responsible husband, Fritz lights a joint and drifts away into a series of irreverent misadventures, beginning with him seducing a young "girl." Later, he meets God in the form of a homeless wino. Then, he becomes a member of the Nazi party, where he meets Adolph Hitler (represented by a dog). Finally, Fritz finds himself in the middle of a political assassination plot, before meeting an Indian guru in the city sewer, and lastly, meeting Satan (allowing the filmmakers the opportunity to add homosexual stereotypes to their repertoire).
Also in the film is one very long, drawn out, dull 1940s sequence that runs about six minutes and could've been cut out of the film without affecting anything.
Still, the sequel goes more for entertainment than the first film did and some moments in this film are much funnier than anything in the first movie.
The sequel avoids much of the social commentary provided by the first movie. Many of the racial/cultural issues are similarly avoided. It still has its fair share of racial stereotypes, but takes a completely different direction overall. Once again, it wouldn't be hard to brand this movie "racist" to an extent, but the stereotypical behavior is so outlandish that it doesn't elicit much reaction.
At the risk of over generalizing, this film will appeal more to stoners than anyone else. The sequel is on par with the original, but not particularly entertaining or anything special really. It's amusing, but if you never see it, you won't be missing a whole lot.

(Bakshi Classic Does Not Disappoint) 『I saw a reference to Ralph Bakshi in a current Hobbit story, which referenced Bakshi's forgettable foray into Tolkien territory. But, I remembered the x-rated animated toon of my teens - the only animated feature ever to give me a partial, right in the theatre. Anyway, I got on Amazon later that day and bought Fritz and The Nine Lives of Fritz and allowed my wife to give me them for Xmas. My wife thinks they are puerile, prurient, and amateurish, but I still like them. I had forgotten that these were R. Crumb characters, which entails some hilarious, if not sophomoric social commentary on the pretensions of hippies and such. All the prurient scenes are of pets and farm animals, so if you get turned on, well, that's your issue to deal with, for me I don't worry about that and just enjoy these classics from my youth. You should too.』

The reason for me that this cartoon is SOO COOL is because of the MASSIVE FOUL LANGUAGE!!! The drugs and sex scenes were also cool (but don't worry they weren't THAT intense but still sicky), the concept of making fun of politicians was FUNNY and the cool character desing and animation were GREAT! I think that the soundtrack could be better but the movie still AWESOME!.
This film is ever WORSE than Ren and Stinpy, Heavy Metal and Meet the Feebles! IS SOOOOO SICK AND DISSGUSTING!! But I like it!! Because is from the 70's and everything that is from the 70's is cool for me!!! (I didn't know that the 70's was such a CRAZY decade).
WARNING: This low-budget movie contains MANY controvertial subjecs and ethnic stereotypes! But we have to understand that it was made ONLY for adults and it was made in a time of great political changes and war!

(Warning Spoiler--Not Our Town Ending) 『I saw this on TV or got it from the library on VHS I think. I had seen the play with Robbie Benson on TV so I wanted to see how this older version compared. Well, they changed the ending in this version which spoils the whole point of the story. So if you have not seen any version, stop reading this review. Anyway, Emily doesn't die in this version. It's a dream. The whole point of this great Thornton Wilder play (I read it in high school, too.) is that people don't appreciate life, they don't stop and smell the roses. They don't savor every moment of their lives. It's not really a happy ending since one of the main characters dies young, but the play is supposed to make you think and look at your life and enjoy every precious moment. I think since Emily doesn't die in this version, it lessens the effectiveness of the message of the play. Find another version that is true to the original is my advice.』
(Our Town) 『Saw this film when it first came out almost 70 years ago as a teenager and 10 years later attended a revival of the play in New York.Has always been my favorite American play. For some reason never had it on VHS so this is the first time I've owned a copy and what a great print it is.I thought I was sitting in the movie theatre watching it.Thank's for making it available at such a low price.』 『Change comes slowly to a small New Hampshire town in the early 20th century. We see birth, life and death in this small community, based on a Thornton Wilder play. Sweet and sensitive. Buoyed by wise performances. Very moving.

(LOVE MY "METHOD" SOAP) 『I have Loved method soap since it's inception. In the last 6 months or so, I have been unable to locate it in my grocery store OR any other store, for that matter. I began to think that it went out of business.

(IT'S SOAP) 『WHAT CAN I SAY ABOUT IT, IT'S SOAP. I JUST HAPPEN TO REALLY LIKE WASHING MY HANDS WITH THIS BRAND OF SOAP AND I EVEN LIKE SOME OF THE OTHER FLAVORS IT COMES IN :)』
(creepy scent, dries my skin) 『I first smelled this sweetwater soap in a store, and I *thought* that I liked it. Perhaps its scent was masked by the other soaps in the aisle, but whatever the case, I waited for months for this soap to be in stock at Amazon. When it was, I ordered a case, [...]. I know other posters considered the scent light, but to me, it's got a "lightly fragrant and flowery" scent that is pretty powerful in its staying power, and it's kind of creepy. It reminds me of a typical movie character, a strange, old lady who lives in a very odd house with too many animals and things around. Ok, that sounds wacky, but the scent is just icky. My husband says it lingers with a scent much like bug spray, and his hands are always dry. I really wanted to like this, too.』
(the best scent with a look that goes anywhere) 『Method products and ad campaigns are usually very attractive. It's difficult to find the range of products and scents available. Even at Target it's hard to find Sweet Water. Because it's clear, it fits any decor and the smell is quite wonderful. Also, I much prefer this version to the same thing in foaming hand wash. (I love it!) 『We had been marking my daughter's height on the wall of her bedroom, but then we moved so I decided it would be better to have a growth chart that we can bring with us. It's very cute and comes with stickers for their birthdays. My daughter enjoyed putting the "I'm 3 today!" sticker up on her 3rd birthday. It folds which is helpful for storing. It is also nice and thick so it seems durable. The only problem I can see is that you can't really mark a height on the fabric area (It is made up of 3 sections of cardboard held together with a fabric so it can fold in 3 very easily). It wasn't a problem for us, though. Overall, it's a very good product.』
(Super cute, durable and exactly what I wanted.) 『This is so cute. It's very durable and well cute. I'm glad I purchased it. Nice and soft so you don't have to worry about the baby hurting herself. And I attach toys to the star link which is fun.』
(Really warped mirror, great if you want to scare your kid) 『Our baby doesn't seem much interested in this. Granted, I can't ask him why, but I can only assume that he can't possibly recognize the distorted face in the mirror as his own, or even that of a human. Frankly, the "funhouse" effect of this mirror would freak me out a bit if I woke up with this in my face.』
(Great Baby Entertainment) 『My baby loves this mirror. Sometimes I think he likes the faces on the moon and star better than the mirror itself. He started looking at it around 3 months. Now that he's 5 months he likes to pull on the attached star ring and chew on it. It's very sturdy because he pulls hard on that ring and everything is still in tact.』
(Good.) 『It has a small amount of warping in the reflection which probably not something that can be changed for a infant's toy. I wish that I could set it at an angle on the playmat. It is better to use this with a crib I suspect but my daughter is still using a bassinett.』
(It's OK) 『The mirror is OK...it's to replace an older child's mirror that isn't made anymore (why I don't know because it's an award-winner...and now I see why.) I bought this as a replacement for my son so I could take his current mirror (that has another side of b/w images designed for newborns, for use in his baby brother's crib. The size of this mirror is small but it's OK. The adornments are OK. I was really disappointed by the mirror's distortion and "fun-house" effect...which my older son found horrifying after having a larger, clearer mirror in his crib. (Shame on Mom for taking it away.) The method of attachment is nice and the price was OK too. Not impressed...but after much searching it seems that good-quality, large, clear crib mirrors just can't be found. This is an OK item...but it will probably be soon removed and not used b/c of my son's reaction to the mirror's distortion.』

Usually ships in 24 hours Core2Duoノートレビュー 's review (Wow Maya Banks knocked this one out of the park!) 『This was absolutely an amazing story. I LOVED LOVED LOVED IT.
Her first book in the series "Sweet Surrender" was incrediable and when I found out on her website that she was publishing the follow up book "Sweet Persuasion" I was so excited. A male character, Damon Roche, peaked my interest in that book and when I discovered that "Sweet Persuasion" was about his story and a new female character Serena I couldn't wait.
Well let me tell you, Maya Banks did not disappoint. This story was gripping as you follow through Serena's so called submissive fantasy to Damon's true lifesyle. As the reader you can so relate to Serena on how difficult it would be to turn from independant business owner to full time "sex slave". Honestly the story goes so much more deeper than what I am trying to explain. Their connection was electric, the story line was a gripping, had deep female friendships and it totally drew you in with the emotions of the characters. I haven't even mentioned the steamy love scenes yet and they are definitely worth a mention because, wow!
This story is easily one of my favorites of Maya Banks and that is hard to say because I adore practically everything she has written. If you are interested in the story, which I totally recommend, I suggest you read "Sweet Surrender" first. It not necessary but you would get a great base for this amazing continuation. Enjoy, you will not be disappointed!』
(A Carnal Pleasure Ride XXX) 『What is your deepest, darkest, sexual fantasy? If you could find a person who would grant your fantasy, not shame you and not judge you, would you do it???? That is the question this book asked and for Serena, her fantasy is to give herself to one man, totally and completely for his pleasure. Enter Damon, who is ready, willing and able. Not only does he take her, but he finds true pleasure in catering to her every whim, both in bed and out, as he frees her body, mind and spirit, in some of the most erotic scenes ever put to paper! This erotic fantasy is not for the faint of heart, but for those that can stand the heat, I definitely recommend that you dive in to this sizzling story of self discovery and smoking hot erotica! As I said before, at true carnal pleasure ride!!!!!』
(Hot! Hot! Hot! Eye Opener) 『I wasn't sure about this book, but I really liked it. It introduced me to a lifestyle I knew nothing about and frankly I wonder if such a thing is possible. The book is well written and though the ending did leave me wanting for more, I think any mature romance reader will really enjoy the book. Well written, entertaining, great sex, good dialogue, and I enjoyed the story line. The only negative is it left is I want more of this couple!!!!!』
(Just what I needed!) 『I haven't quite finished the book, but so far, it is great! Good, steamy sex, great M/s and BDSM scenes.』
(got it from the library) 『glad I did. This book is not worth 10$. it was just gross. I love erotic fiction but this is not my cup of tea. however if you are into bdsm I guess you will love it I couldn't finish it.』 『The bestselling author ofFor Her Pleasure and Sweet Surrenderdelivers another winner-the kind of erotic romance readers are craving.
For five years, Serena has run Fantasy Incorporated and has devoted her time to fulfilling her clients' fantasies. Never her own. Until now...
Her most secret desire is to give ownership of her body to a man. Someone who will command her, pleasure her, and have complete authority over her. So she seeks out Damon Roche, owner of an exclusive sex club and a man strong enough to make her do anything he wants.Anything.
Together they'll journey into a world she's only dreamed of. She's given the opportunity to immerse herself in a different life while her normal one waits for her to return whenever she wishes. Damon has no desire to let her go, however. Serena is the woman he's long searched for, and it's up to him to convince her to stay when the game is all over with. He wants their fantasy to become their reality and for Serena to remain his pampered, cherished submissive.』

Whether they have any intention of being an inventor or not, this book is sure to encourage them to follow their dreams. There are not enough books like this one that are written for vibrant, curious young women.』
(Great examples of practical inventions done by women) 『I was expecting to read about Maria Curie or Lisa Meitner. Instead it was a book about seems ordinary women (and girls!) who contributed in very practical fields like inventing windshield wipers, snugli, computer compilers or chocolate chip cookies. The book explains well that women had to go through much more hardship than men to be able to go through the experimental phase of their inventions. For instance Patsy O. Sherman who invented the Scotchguard was not even allowed in the textile mills.... to supervise the product production. 』
(Aunt for neice) 『I bought this based on other reviews for my soon to be 8 year old neice. I read it and she is going to love it. Very excited to promote the old the idea of "girl power" because there is still gender bias in the classrooms and peer pressure.』
(The best book ever) 『This book was the best book I have read so far on my summer reading book list. It was very interesting to me. It is the best subject to write a book on. I had the best time reading it. I think that people could have more confidence to invent something after reading this book, even men.』
(Book of Interest) 『This book allowed me to share stories of inventions by women with my students. Girls often feel left out of the "science of invention", this book allows them to relate to accomplishments in a field where girls often don't relate to the material presented.』 『In kitchens and living rooms, in garages and labs and basements, even in converted chicken coops, women and girls have invented ingenious innovations that have made our lives simpler and better. Their creations are some of the most enduring (the windshield wiper) and best loved (the chocolate chip cookie). What inspired these women, and just how did they turn their ideas into realities?』

Usually ships in 24 hours Core2Duoノートレビュー 's review (This was an adorable, busy little alphabet bedtime book that your preschooler will love!) 『It's bedtime in Alphabet town and all the little letters are getting ready to head to bed. Earlier in the day all the letters were running around outside playing. The S was on a swing, the K was flying a kite and the O was turning cartwheels. Everyone was so busy they made themselves tired, except for the letter A . . . "U-oh! A is wide awake." Before all the letters went to bed there were many things to do. Some had to take baths, a few were fidgety and needed stories, there was jumping on the bed and of course "K won't give a kiss good night." Bedtime is a busy time, but some of the little letters don't get ready for bed as easily as others!
This was an adorable, busy little alphabet bedtime book that your preschooler will love. The artwork was alive with little letters just dancing all over the pages, emulating what lots of children go through at night just before they head to bed. I liked the "rub-a-dub d" bath time when three of the letters, a rubber duck and little elephant were splashing around. If you want an educational and fun, fun, fun bedtime book, this is one you might want to consider!』
(a gem) 『My 7-year-old loves this book and insists on bringing it to bed each night. If your child loves their alphabets, as many austic children like my own do (patterns, predictions, sequences), I highly recommend this book.』
(A Splendid Alphabet Book) 『Every kid in the whole world will tell you that Capital Letters are the most important because they are the "grownup" letters. That's why kindergarteners persist in printing in all caps to start with, I betcha. In this likable little lullaby book, the Grownup Letters are trying to get their rambunctious offspring into bed. This delightful book would be greatly loved in every preschool classroom or kindergarten as a pre-naptime read-aloud. Judy Sierra's sparse tight rhyme combines with stunningly childlike illustrations by Melissa Sweet. Check out her website at [...] where you'll find a terrific concentration game kids will love. Sweet's illustrations personify each "little letter" as the child of its "big daddy or momma" letter most charmingly. On the endplates, the letters, big and little, are easily identified as belonging to each other by color, composition, texture, all except the X which I suppose will always be a bit of an odd one. The sense of aliveness of the letters permeates the pages which are solid color on the left, scene-filled on the right, making this a perfect beginning-to-read title for those early readers who need big type on an uncluttered background. It is inherently charming to see adjacent letters of the alphabet enjoying their lives together, something I never thought of, but of course it makes sense. They spend so much time together, you know. Each rollicking picture includes objects related by their beginning letter to at least one of the letters in the scene; undoubtedly the favorite page will be "u" taking off his underwear. Eventually all the little letters successfully settle down to sleep but the reader feels a nagging urge to read it again, just for fun. What a great addition to the alphabet book genre! At [...] you'll find a short educational guide to The Sleepy Little Alphabet as well as her other wildly popular picture books』
(Great Book for Toddlers) 『I recently bought this book for my grandsons, ages 3 and 1. I read it over and over to them during the visit. The 3 year old especially enjoyed all the little letters. I would highly recommend it.』
(Great Bedtime Story) 『I purchased this book for my grandson's third birthday. He loved the book and wanted it read to him ten times the first night! It continues to be a favorite of his.』 『A fun read-aloud for little ones who are learning their ABCs.

Not since the classsicChicka Chicka Boom Boomhas there been such an appealing way to teach the youngest child the ABCs while providing a one-minute goodnight story. Of course, Melissa Sweetâs animated watercolor, pencil, and collage illustrations may beg for a little more time to match up all the toys with the right letters, and Judy Sierraâs rollicking rhymed story will want to be heard again and again. Okay, so maybe itâs a three-minute story!』
