(A must for big band and Glenn Miller fans) 『I've been a huge fan of the Glenn Miller Orchestra since my teen years (I'm 59 years old, so Glenn was already gone before I was born). I have several vinyl Glenn Miller albums and one or two CDs, but none of them match the quality of this CD. The selection of songs is also excellent providing a wide range of Miller music both instrumental only and with the varioius vocalists that worked with Miller over the years. Higly reccomended for Glenn Miller and big band fans.
Now if I could only find some of the old movies which featured the Glenn Miller Orchestra on DVD...』
(Excellent sound quality and great selections) 『I've only recently "discovered" that I like Big Band music. We Boomers grew up loving our rock 'n roll and mostly thought of the Glenn Miller Band and others like it as relics of our parents' days in the Depression and World War II. After rap came to the forefront of popular "music", I listened to Classical music exclusively and got very comfortable with the music of Beethoven, Mozart, Haydn, and many others.
Through a series of odd coincidences I tuned in several times to an AM radio station here in Colorado Springs that plays a lot of orchestral and band music from the 30's through the early 60's. To my surprise, I found myself listening to all this stuff from Glenn Miller, Benny Goodman, and others.
Lo and behold, I was completely captivated by this delightful music. It's so, well, civilized! It's joyous, lovely, whole-hearted American music from a time when we were truly at our best as a nation. Moreover, it's masterfully constructed, and, in this collection, performed as well as I could have hoped for.
The search began for a good GM collection that "had it all", and I spent a lot of time here on Amazon browsing literally dozens of offerings, listening to samples for hours, and reading many fine, informative reviews. I knew that there was a great variance of opinion about the quality of the audio transfers, and not a few people were very upset about the noise of scratches, pops, and thin, "tinny" reproduction along with an overall loss of full fidelity.
This research by a complete neophyte in the subject material led me to the conclusion that I definitely wanted a collection that had the 18 songs I wanted most, including many of those the band is so well known for. This 4-CD set was the only one that had them, except for one much larger set that costs quite a lot. I got mine through MovieMars, one of the Amazon dealers, and everything was perfect.
This set is ideal in every way. It has superb audio quality with none of the distractions that evidently exist in some other collections. Here, the sound envelope is fully reproduced: you can hear the bass viols clearly without any "muddiness"; the reed instruments are sharp and bright without being shrill and tinny; the brass is clear and mellow, but also bold; the vocals are warm and round with the singers' resonance.
Well, that's the recommendation of an admitted newcomer to all this. Don't wait too long to decide on this collection because I've seen that the availabilities and prices for it fluctuate quite a lot.

I thought I was going to be limited to Bryan's few workouts until now. This DVD is WONDERFUL!!! Very similar in flow to Bryan Kest, but what can I say? I now have choices in music and choices in how much instruction I want. My new to yoga boyfriend loves this workout also. I find the flow similar to Bryan Kest Power Yoga 2, but not alot of twisting poses. We were both very impressed with the final relaxation at the end. I am very pleased and highly recommend! My only criticism is that I would not recommend it to someone completely new to yoga. If you have some background and understand the way the breath is connected to the movement, this is a good choice. If you have been instructed in yoga before and know the subtle details important for each pose, this is a good choice. It felt to me that the instructor assumes prior knowledge of yoga poses and breathing.
I like the fact that you can omit the instruction and change the music. You feel like you are in a real yoga class.

Shows how much Alda loved his tv character that he resurrects everything about Hawkeye for this one. The humor, the irreverence at the film's battle scene conclusion, the womanizing. Surprised not to see Harry Morgan make a cameo appearance but then he was probably sitting in jail after beating up his wife and couldn't make it. Another reviewer here mentioned how terrible the music was and I just laughed. Although released in 1986, the music reminds me of the post disco era circa 1980 and really dates the film with its techno pop keyboard work and closing credit vocal. Just terrible! If you are going to watch this one, I recommend turning down the sound when the credits roll at the end.』

Frankly, I found it boring. The film quality was grainy, by the very nature of 8mm film. There wasn't really a plot, just a series of comments on how much fun 'cross is, even if it does hurt like hell, and even if the footage was kinda neat, it was basically one long highlight reel, with no plot line or character development. I ended up donating it to my local bike shop to play on the TV during the day. That's about the only place it might be appropriate.』

Of the two mentioned, I prefer the decaf, it has a smoother taste and I can drink it at night, whereas the other will get me awake for hours. That being said, when I need to clean my house or yard, the Spice Chai is perfect, gives me a real lift.

(Might just be the best chai EVER) 『So I basically always choose Oregon Chai and it was good. Then I found Oregon Chai instant which for some reason was WAY better than the concentrate versions (no sour aftertaste I got from the others). Every chai I've ever tasted after was never as good. So when Amazon was out of stock of my instant (original flavor in the purple box is the best), I decided to try out Big Train (based on reviews). It was the review that stated "even better than Oregon Chai" that sealed the deal - I had to try it.
It arrived within the week and I tried it right away. It says you can make it with water or milk but I always prefer water (milk makes to too thick for my liking). It tasted very good, but also completely differently from any other chai I've ever had. So it was actually very hard for me to compare. So after a few mugs, it hit me. It was missing the cardamom/cinnamon flavors that I'm used to in chai. So I added 1/8 tsp of cinnamon and OMG, it was AMAZING. Way better than any other chai I've had!
I choose the 12oz three pack (instead of the 1.9 lb 2pack) just to try it out since I didn't want to be stuck with an even larger amount if I didn't end up liking it. But you'll go through these bags fast because it uses 4 tablespoons per 8oz cup! I'm already down to my last bag and it's only been 2 weeks. I haven't tried any of the other flavors (just the spiced chai flavor), but I highly recommend this one!』
