(Sticky Rice!)

(Sticky Rice Steaming Pot&Basket)

(perfect)

(Great value!)

(I love it)
After spending a lot of time in Thailand, I became hooked on sticky rice and I was lucky enough to find an asian food store that sells sticky rice just down the road from me! The problem was, I couldn't seem to get it right with my own steaming methods. This rice steaming basket is exactly what I used when I was in Thailand, so it was easy for me to use it. Words of advice...

1. Like others have said, make sure you have true Thai sticky rice or else you will just have plain old rice.
2. Make sure you rinse the rice until the water runs clear and then soak overnight...and make sure you put it in a container that the cats can't get into or else you will be cleaning up rice for weeks...oops!
3. Wrap the rice in cheese cloth, it makes things so much easier!
4. Make sure you use a lid that fits close to the rice. I use the lid off of my small sauce pan.
5. Enjoy!! I like my sticky rice with Thai sweet/hot sauce :)

My step-mom is Thai and used this all the time. I was happy to find it and be able to use it too. LOVE IT!
This was exactly what i was looking for and i found it for real cheap. shipping was fast and i have no complaints whatsoever.
This is a terrific product sold at a great price. Fast delivery, too! Highly recommended.
This thing is incredibly easy to use and I was finally able to make my own sticky rice at home, after years of failure. This is the right tool for the job, and that seems to matter alot for sticky rice.

(Great treat for dogs with food allergies)

(A Real Find)

(Great Product!!)

(Best dog treat yet!)
My cocker spaniels love these dog treats. They have food allergies and these don't bother them at all. Thanks.
16 Oz. Sweet Potato&Duck Wraps! My dog is allergic to all grains and, consequently, he is unable to enjoy any of the popular commercial dog treats. For years I made treats for him out of his dry food but it was a messy, smelly process. What a relief for me and a thrill for him to find dog treats he really loves. Thank you Cadet!
This is the 4th time I'm buying this product for my fussy babies. They luv it and it is their daily pm treat when I come home from work.
I purchased this dog treat from the breeder where I bought my puppy and I'll be the first to say it is amazing. Not only is it healthy but delcious (well, my puppy seems to think so) Using these as treats I was able to teach her to sit, shake paw, etc in 2 days. She absolutely loves them and will do anything for them. She knows exactly where I keep them in the cabinet. I cut them into small pieces so I can work with her on training and give her a big one when I want to keep her busy. I recommend these to anyone and everyone!

(Love it)

(Very Good)

(My 2 year old loves it)

(My son loves it)

(Good video)
My 3 year old son loves this dvd so much that he would play it over and over. He also tried to sing the songs which is really great learning experience.
At first we weren't too sure about the "new" Barney. All the other episodes we own were of the old/original Barney and kids. But our kids don't seem to mind.
I like that there is more than one episode on this dvd. I think there's actually 3. And lots of options.
One thing I didn't like, is I thought that it being called "ABC" would mean they'd actually go through the Alphabet. But in the whole video, they don't say all the letters. They do a couple letter activities (spelling Baby Bop's name), sing a letter song (with only about 10 of the letters in the song), and sing the alphabet once.
My recomendation would be, if you're wanting a video to help your child learn their letters, this is not the one to get. But if you just want a good Barney video for your child to enjoy, go for it. And if they happen to pick up a little bit of letter recognition, great.

My 2 year old loves this DVD, and it is his ritual to watch either this DVD, or another Barney DVD he has, everyday after his bath. He knows the order of the songs by now, and sings along to parts of the songs as well.
My son is 2 1/2 and loves this movie. Since watching it he's taken a great interest in shapes (particularly triangles)! This DVD is also great for helping him continue to learn his letters.
All of my children have grown up on Barney. They especially enjoy the songs which teach the children life skills, the alphabet, and counting. I definitely recommend this video.
Preschool fundamentals--including shapes, colors, and the alphabet--are the focus of this one-hour program set in the after-school learning center familiar to viewers ofBarney&Friends. Today, everyone is preparing for an art show, which provides plenty of scope for Barney's gentle tutorials on circles, squares, reds, and blues, while he incorporates beloved songs such as "Mister Sun." Viewers will be inspired by the students' art projects (which are easily replicated at home) as well as the lesson on mixing colors to create new hues. Then it's off to Baby Bop's tea party, a perfect segue into the realm of ABC's. As Baby Bop learns to spell her name, there are plenty of rhyming games and alphabet songs to incite audience participation. While lacking the originality of some of Barney's earlier music videos, there is no denying this lineup of merry songs and feel-good familiarity make this a cozy stroll into Barney's world. (Ages 2 to 6)--Lynn Gibson

(THOMAS and the Magic Railroad)

(What is with the 1 stars on this movie???)

(Why on earth does he like it?)

(stop being so critical! the kids seem to love it..)

(1 year old LOVES it)

This was an excellent movie for children of all ages!
We enjoyed it tremendously. Alec Baldin was excellent.

My 19 month old loves this movie. We have watched it over 100 times. I bought another Thomas the Train dvd and my son didn't make it through the first 2 minutes. This has real trains in it, plus actual people in it. I like watching this better than all the Elmo movies!!
OK, I am a huge Thomas fan. (So is my 3-year-old son, but I am the one writing.) I had heard this was a horrid movie, but we were going on a long trip and I had to get a new movie for him to watch. He spotted this and there was no convincing him otherwise.

It's as if they all took acid when they put this together. I agree - the plot is hard to follow and the acting, well, STINKS! Peter Fonda looks as if he took Valium the whole time. Perhaps he did - it might have made it more bearable for him.

I will say this - my son loves watching this, but I am convinced his taste is suspended in order to enjoy the temporary "demise" of Diesel 10. If not, I have no hope for his future in the creative arts.

Buy the new Thomas movie. It's not great, but at least it's close to what we all know and love. If you are forced to watch this one, you might want a beer or two handy( - and a designated parent within earshot.)

I just think it's so funny that most of the people that gave this movie a bad review are basing it on their own criticsm and point of view. Hey, try looking at it from the kids' perspective and as long as they like it your opinions are null.
My son is 13 mos and LOVES this movie. Yes Peter Fonda's acting makes me laugh but the movie is golden simply for the fact that my son can watch it over and over again and keep him entertained. Anyone who thinks the plot is hard to follow is joking because my son at 13 mos follows it and even claps at the parts when Thomas saves the day. The songs are sweet and it's a nice feel good movie for the whole family. Alec Baldwin is a hilarious straight man to his free spirited cousin. They actually make the movie tolerable for the adults who have to sit through it.
Thomas the tank engine gets all his friends on board to help bring evil diesel 10 to a screeching halt before he can destroy the source of the railroads magic. Special features: talent files additional audio: spanish theatrical trailers subtitles in english and spanish deleted scene and much more. Studio: Sony Pictures Home Ent Release Date: 03/23/2004 Starring: Peter Fonda Alec Baldwin Run time: 85 minutes Rating: G Director: Britt Allcroft
Thomas, as anyone familiar with the eponymous, wildly popular TV series knows, is a very useful engine, and never more so than in his first theatrical release, which was a modest box-office success. On a tank filled with little more than pluck, determination, and goodwill, Thomas sets out full steam ahead on a danger-fraught mission to help his friend Mr. Conductor. The conductor's stash of magic gold dust has run out, leaving him stranded on the Island of Sodor with Junior, his flaky cousin, and Lily, a little girl enlisted to lift her grandfather out of a funk on nearby Muffle Mountain. When Thomas bravely chugs beyond his hometown tracks' buffers with Lily aboard, he's transported to Muffle Mountain's secret railway and to Lady, a long-lost steamer whose legendary engine makes her more powerful than Diesel, the train-yard bully. Together, Thomas and Lady lead Diesel on a chase that causes a bridge to collapse, taking the dastardly Diesel down with it. Most impressive about the movie is its marquee names: Alec Baldwin works magic as the dutiful worrywart Mr. Conductor, Mara Wilson is Lily, and Peter Fonda plays the cool-looking but lugubrious Grandpa. It's a cast that'll keep put-upon parents watching, if halfheartedly. Thomas fans 5 and under, meanwhile, will wish the actors wouldn't blow so much hot air; they'll want to see their hero a bigger part in steaming up the story line.--Tammy La Gorce

(Bi-Lingual Fan)

(Great for Bonding)

(My girls love it!)

(Barbie, Barbie)

(Barbie!!!)
The reason I've decided to review this movie is because I wanted to offer a little advice to those of you who are searching on-line. I gave Barbie Fairytopia 5 stars for 3 reasons.

First it comes in both English&Spanish audio versions. This is a rare feature with children's titles, but a must have for our family. If any of you are thinking about teaching your child a second language, watching cartoons is the easiest way for them to pick it up. My daughter understands more Spanish then I've ever spoken at home because of these "Bonus" language tracks included.

Second, it is an actual movie with total run time of 70 minutes. This is wonderful for those parents who might need a few minutes of peace and quiet every now&then. I hate buying a feature and it turns out to be 4-30 minute TV episodes, which actually translates to be 4-23 minute episodes. My daughter loses interest after the first episode and never fully returns to enjoy the entire thing. This feature offers a warm story line based on bravery, loveable characters, and good quality graphics.

And finally, I loved the price. I bought it on Amazon.com for under $10 which now a days is just as rare as Spanish. I always regret paying full price of $19.99 for a brand new DVD only to find my 2 year-old using the new DVD as her new play toy. It's kind of hard to take away baby's new Barbie movie from baby or teach them why scratches are bad for playability. (I hope you parents out there understand what I'm trying to say.) In conclusion, this is a great movie for a great price.

My daughter (5 years old) loves this series of videos. We watch them together and it is great for bonding and communicating.
My girls, ages 4 and 2, really like this movie. They find the Fungi (the "bad guys") a little scary. They also point out that Laverna is really mean. The Fungi are gross-looking (in my opinion) and kind of creepy. Other than that, the movie has a good message about doing what is right, and about being unselfish.

Barbie Fairytopia

I just love Barbie so when my Grand daughter sees them show one I get it and they love all the colore and songs and stories to them.
So if your child loves Barbie they will love this one to

Anything by Barbie is amazing and the Fairytopia series is my favorite. But make sure you check out Barbie in the Princess and the Pauper. It is the best Barbie movie ever made!!!
Bravery, commitment to friendship, and personal sacrifice empower the weak and give rise to unlikely heroes in the magical world ofFairytopia. Elina (played by Barbie) is a wingless fairy who is mercilessly teased by a trio of spiteful fairies. Luckily for Elina, Dandelion (a fellow fairy) and Bibble (a cute little puffball) are good, supportive friends. When the evil Laverna plots to take over Fairytopia and spreads a potion that causes an epidemic of flying sickness in Fairytopia, Elina is the only fairy not overcome with the illness. It's up to Elina, Bibble, and new friend Hue to find a way to defeat Laverna and save Fairytopia from ruin. While the brightly colored animation ofFairytopiais enticing and the messages of friendship and sacrifice wholesome, the story line and characters are shallow and predictable. Worse yet, the colloquial dialogue and prepubescent attitude of many of the characters is downright annoying. While young Barbie fans will doubtless enjoyFairytopia,Barbie Princess and the Pauper,Barbie Nutcracker, andBarbie Swan Lakeoffer richer story lines with better developed and more likeable characters. On a technical note, the DVD played fine on three test DVD players (Sony and Panasonic). (Ages 3 to 9)--Tami Horiuchi

(Must see movie)

(Being there.)

(Uncut Dvd Please!!!)

(Please release it on DVD!)

(One of the greatest cavalry charges ever)
This is one of the most exciting war time epics I have ever seen. Visually stunning with a memorable score by Mario Millo. This is the true story of the last mounted charge in history. Australian Lighthorsemen attack the German-Turkish stronghold at Beersheba during World War One. Excellent in every way, and one of the most exciting charge sequences ever committed to film.
While I love this movie, I don't think it is as good as the Aussie classic,`Gallipoli'. Having said that, it holds a very special place in my heart.

When `The Lighthorsemen' premiered in Australia in I think, 1988, I was in the process of interviewing a dozen or so local First World War veterans (they are all gone now). One, Douglas Ellibank-Murray, rode with the 12th Lighthorse Regiment during WW1 and participated in the charge at Beersheba. He told a fascinating tale of his time with the 12th after having enlisted as a young drover (cowboy), along with his horse.

While Doug` was happy to speak about his service and the assault on Beersheba in particular, he would not talk about what happened when the Aussies reached the Turkish trenches. This, despite my persistent if gentle probing. I suspect that things happened there that Doug` wanted left alone. There has been talk of Turkish soldiers having `surrendered' then firing on the Australians. It has been reported that some arbitary executions were carried out in response.

One of my life's greatest pleasure was to accompany Doug to the movie's local premier where he was, of course, guest of honour. While quite frail, he appreciated all the attention, especially from the young ladies present. He was still a charming and quite handsome man, not unlike the 19 year old, blue eyed and blonde haired drover who had enlisted back in 1915.

I watched Doug closely out of the corner of my eye throughout `The Lighthorsemen' and the only time he appeared to become animated was when the actual charge was underway; he was moving about quite a bit and I suspect, he was there again.

After the movie, Doug offered a number of technical comments including the fact that the Turkish trenches were inaccurately portrayed as relatively straight, when in fact they were of saw-tooth construction.

The fate of the `whalers' (the name given to the horses, most of who had come from the AUSTRALIAN State of New South Wales). Many were in fact `put down' rather than end up pulling a `gypoe's' (Egyptian) cart in downtown Cairo. Doug was in a bit of a state worrying about what would happen to his own beloved horse until approached by a Britsh officer who had admired the horse and wanted to take it to his next posting in India to be used as a polo pony.

After assessing the `Pommy' officer and his handling of the horse, Doug agreed. The officer wrote to Doug for many years telling him about the horse which was eventually retired and died of old age in India.

Doug Ellibank-Murray was a lovely man and then a living legend of that famous day in October 1917.

This film has long been a favorite for me, even without the 15 minutes an earlier reviewer described. There is no excuse for a beautifully filmed movie such as this not to be available on dvd in its entirety.
This film needs to be released on DVD with anamorphic widescreen treatment. I'm so tired of waiting for it.
As many other reviewers have pointed out this is a fantastic film and one that should be seen by anyone interested in horses in wartime. The real issue is how to see it at it's best. If you want to see all of it the only choice is the American release on laser disc. This is in the full original widescreen of 2.35:1, but of course has analogue video and on the big screen it is quite grainy. The recent Australian release on DVD is a disgrace. It has good digital video but is cut to 1.78:1 and critical parts of the film are of course cut off. They have minimised this slightly by opening up the top and bottom a little so I suppose the actual cut may be nearer 1.85:1 but the grand vistas REQUIRE the full 2.35:1. The famous charge looks ridiculous at the cut back ratio. One can only hope that whoever has the rights to this film in the US will do the right thing and give us a deluxe full size release as soon as possible. I am sticking to my LD despite it's shortcomings. The Australian DVD will be better than tape but whoever decided to issue it in such a truncated version should be ashamed of himself.
