(soft, subtle scent)

(orange oil extract gives pleasant smell to air)
I bought this to use in my car as a freshener and in potpourri in my home. Nice, not overwhelming.
Place this in your humidifier to add the clean fresh smell of orange to the air
A zesty, sweet citrus aroma, Sweet Orange is cheering, refreshing, and uplifting. Orange, like all citrus fruits, plays an important role in Chinese medicine. It is used for brightening dull or oily complexions. As a skin conditioner, it soothes dry, irritated, or acne-prone skin. Aromatherapists use Sweet Orange to treat muscular tension, poor circulation, obesity, water retention, bronchitis, colds, constipation, and stress-related symptoms. In vapor therapy or diluted in a bath, Orange oil can be an effective booster to the immune system for colds and flu, eliminating toxins, nervous tension and stress.

(Takes up counter space, but worth it)

(Feeding a Daily Habit)

(great machine, but not immortal)

(Warning - Aluminum Inner Lid!)

(Great Rice Cooker)
I bought this on the recommendation of a friend and I'm not at all sorry. I keep it on the counter and it does take up a good chunk of space, but it's worked so well, I'm good with the space issue. I had a bottom-range rice cooker before this one and it was ok as long as you ate the rice immediately. This one keeps rice warm for a very long time without overcooking the bits touching the pan. I'm looking forward to trying to make soup in it.
In Hawaii, many of us eat rice every day, so most of us have rice cookers on our kitchen counters. I'd been wanting a "fuzzy logic" cooker for a long time, but my old-fashioned, bridal-shower-era aluminum cooker took its sweet time easing into retirement. When it was time to say farewell, I'd narrowed my choices to the higher-end Zojirushi line.

My sturdy Zojirushi was worth the wait! Rice comes out dependably, every time. White rice. Jasmine rice for curries. Mixed brown and white or wild rice and brown or white. Never overcooked; never crunchy. There are multiple settings to accommodate all kinds of combinations -- "reg/sushi" is best for everyday, and hit the "pre-washed" button if you've washed the rice grains. The others are self-explanatory with one possible exception, sweet, which is probably not a common choice. A steam vent up top keeps the rice from getting overly sticky, and the included rice paddle may look like it has measles but it's designed to keep the rice from sticking.

I'm a gadget geek, so the computer melodies that indicate the start and end of cooking make me smile every time I hear them, and sometimes that's twice a day (I do love my rice). The warming function seems to work well, keeping the rice quite hot without drying it out, but for best flavor you would want to eat the rice within 30-60 minutes.

The non-stick coating truly is ... no more soaking the aluminum pot in cold water to get the "goo" off. Instead, a quick hand-wash with hot soapy water is all the bowl and the detachable cover liner need. As to the measuring cup, as one person noted, it's not exactly a dry measure 1c. I keep it in my rice tub, scoop out however much I want to prepare, wash it in the sink (old habits die hard) and then use the knuckle measure technique to add water. Basically, no matter how big/small your hands or the dimension of the cooker, rest your pointer finger barely touching the top of the rice; the water level should hit your first knuckle. I boost this a bit for brown and wild rice.

This cooker has given our family more than 3 years of faithful service so far, and my eye hasn't wandered.

I bought my 10-cup Zojirushi two and a half years ago, and have used it on average three times a week ever since. It's been pretty great, but at this point the teflon on the bowl is completely shot and must be replaced (note that I've used the plastic paddle almost exclusively and have never scratched the bowl with a metal utensil). A replacement bowl is about fifty bucks, so be aware that even if you tenderly wash it by hand, it has a life-span of about two years.
After reading all the reviews on fuzzy logic rice cookers, I was very excited to order the Zojirushi NS TGC10 model. When I recieved it, I was dismayed to see that the detachable inner lid was made of aluminum! It's my understanding that it's very unhealthy to cook foods in direct contact with aluminum. I called the seller who told me that all of the Chinese-made fuzzy logic models are made this way.

I ended up getting the higher quality, Japanese-made induction fuzzy rice cooker by Zojirushi which has a stainless steel detachable inner lid. Which I love! It makes the absolute best rice (brown and white) that I've ever had! It was pricy, but I think worth it as a long term cooking and health investment.

Bottom line -- if having your rice cook with direct aluminum contact is a concern for you, just remember -

Zojirushi Japanese-made fuzzy logic INDUCTION rice cookers GOOD...

Zojirushi Chinese-made fuzzy logic NON-INDUCTION rice cookers BAD!

I used this for a long time and it never gave me any problem. One good thing about it is the cooking rice stay good for a very long time without becoming stale or spoiled. Brown rice cooking is great too.

(Dogswell Veggie Life Happy Hips Chicken&Sweet Potato, 5-Ounce Blue Pouches (Pack of 6))

(My dogs love em.... but what's with the white spots?????)
These doggie treats are very good (Just ask my dog!) and quite a bit cheaper than purchasing them locally. Same product I had been purchasing at the local pet store but at quite a savings.
I would give it 5 stars but deducted a star due to questionable quality. There were white spots all over the sweet potatoes which worried me as they looked like bacteria or something. I emailed the company and they told me that they had already tested it in a lab and it was found to be starch, which occurs naturally on sweet potatoes. But I still feel uneasy about giving it to my dogs. Why wouldn't they post this info on the bags then?????

(My Grandchildren love it.)

(Great for toddler)

(My 2 year old Twins BOTH love it!!)

(Fun video for toddlers)

(TV and videos are not good for babies under 2)
My Grandchildren love this DVD. There are so many animals other than the usual ones kids know. My daughter says it is one of the best Baby Einstein DVD's out there.
My 19 month old daughter just got into this DVD. I'd reccomend it if you're looking for a baby einstein DVD for a toddler. It's very relaxing for her and me!
For whatever reason my girls LOVE animals.. everyone known to man.. and this DVD is great.. We love the "peak a boo" feature and they can guess what the animal is behind the flap!! Great job again baby einstein!
My daughter loves this video. She is almost 2 and we've had the video for 2 months and she asks to watch it every day. She very quickly learned the names of all the animals, and she giggles at the puppets' antics. We also have Baby Neptune and Baby Galileo, and she loves those as well. She likes having me sit next to her to watch it with her, because then she can ask me what the animals are and what are they doing. It makes for relaxing downtime for both of us.
The name "Baby Einstein" can lull you into thinking it's okay or even good for babies to watch t.v., but the American Academy of Pediatrics recommends no television at all to children under 2 because so many studies have proven its harmful effects on children. Studies have shown that:

- for every hour of television a baby watches a day, their chances of acquiring an attention deficit disorder increases by 10%.
- among babies ages 8 months to 16 months, every hour spent daily watching programs such as 'Brainy Baby' or 'Baby Einstein' translated into six to eight fewer words in their vocabularies as compared with other children their age."
- brain wave activity in babies is slower when watching television than when sleeping.

I believe television should be used SPARINGLY and with caution, and without any delusions of it increasing baby's intelligence. As for making them more intelligent, Dr. William Sears says, "relationships, not things, make babies smarter." The easiest way to make babies smarter and calmer is to carry them a lot. Slings, pouches and carriers help make this more manageable. Studies have shown that:

- carrying babies an extra 3 hours a day resulted in 40% less crying.

Babies who are frequently carried are proven to pick up verbal skills faster, and develop better core muscle strength and balance. My Listmania list "Natural Parenting for Baby's First Year" has more information on babywearing, or you can google "babywearing" or "television and baby studies" for your own research.

Crown Crafts The Original NoJo BabySling by Dr. Sears - Black Chambray is a great starter sling.

Finally, I'd suggest "SIGNING TIME" videos - not to be confused with "Baby Signing Time" - as a last resort instead of other baby videos because at least baby can learn sign language. Sign language is proven to:

- reduce frustration and tantrums
- accelerate language development
- promote parent-child bonding

I found the entire series at my local library. I especially liked Signing Time! Volume 4: Family, Feelings&Fun DVD and 'naming' feelings also increases emotional intelligence in babies.

The baby-to-toddler set gets an expedition through a variety of animal habitats across the planet in this installment of theBaby Einsteinseries. Despite the title, there is no real biblical connection to the material other than Noah's Ark toys and a few paintings (minus Noah and family). The subtitle "Animal Expedition" is far more accurate, as the 38-minute program takes the youngsters through the African savannah, rainforest, ocean, Australian Outback, and polar regions. As in its predecessors in the series, this one focuses on a few animals in each segment with repetition through toys, puppets and nature footage. Spoken words are minimal, but percussion and classical music (Beethhoven, Bizet, and Mozart, here) are maximized. (Ages 1 to 2)--Kimberly Heinrichs

(Good video for 2.5 yr old)

(Boring Ballet)

(Good for little ones)

(to the point and easy to follow)

(Very serious)
My 2.5 year old daugher enjoyed this video for the most part. She's just starting to show an interest in dance and I wanted to test her out with a video. At the beginning they were explaining how to warm up. This was slow for her and she lost interest quickly. She simply wanted to start dancing and standing at a 'bar' doing warm ups was not her idea of a good time. Once the dancers on the video got moving, we were good to go. She danced and danced and was thrilled. She especially enjoyed the other little dancers in their outfits.
My 3-year-old is ballet crazy, but this DVD completely bored her. She left after about 5 minutes. It is so poorly produced, it looks like a bad home video - bad lighting, really boring message, etc. It moves very slowly, not much action or pacing, so it just bores the kids. Sadly, there are not a lot of other options out there, but this is not worth your money.
My 4 years old niece who loves to dance, but not ready for a class yet, likes to watch this DVD and follow the basic ballet steps. This is good for kids who want to start ballet at home.
I grew up dancing and I really enjoyed this dvd for my 3 year old daughter. It gives some basic lessons to get the little one's started and it's explained nicely as well. I give a thumbs up to recommending this dvd.
We were looking for something a little more fun than this video. This is a very serious ballet lesson. If that's what you are looking for, you will love it. We were looking for something a little less formal and more fun.

Budding ballerinas ages 4 to 6 receive a thorough introduction to ballet at the tutelage of "Miss Rosemary" Boross in this 36-minute video. The program features Rosemary Boross, a student helper, and a small class of preschool age dancers as they explore the basics of warming up at the barre, stretching, center work, dancing across the floor, and revérénce. Miss Rosemary first describes and demonstrates steps like plié, tendu, suté, chassé, and grande jeté, then leads her class through each step to the accompaniment of original piano music by Bruce Stephen Foster. Because the program covers a large variety of steps and progresses fairly quickly, it is most effective when used in conjunction with enrollment in an introductory ballet class. Alternately, young dancers may want to view the video in short segments, then follow with ample practice time to ensure the correct execution of each individual step.--Tami Horiuchi

(Great Entertainment for Toddlers&Preschoolers)

(My toddler is bored with this video!)

(These really are great videos)

(Fun Time for Toddlers)

(Wiggle Time is GREAT)
My 2-1/2-year-old granddaughter loves to follow directions. Whether it's trying to do the hand movements, marching or counting, the Wiggles help me provide a lot of music, movement and learning in her day. Another of her favorites is their "Yummy, Yummy" dvd :) You can't go wrong with the Wiggles!
I bought this video because of all the great reviews. My 16 month old LOVES the Wiggles but she does not like this video. It is old.... it was first released in 1999, though on Amazon it says 2004. The backgrounds are really cheesy, and the songs are older. I am now off to find a newer, more entertaining Wiggles video. If I were you, I'd do the same!
I have a three year old and a 4 year old with down syndrom and they both love the wiggles. They both can do some of the dance moves and my three year old can sing some of the songs. And even though we watch this video about 20 times a day we're still not sick of the songs like barney or thomas the tank engine
This is a great Wiggles video. Wiggle Time is our second favorite Wiggles video. (The Wiggles - Top of the Tots is our #1 because the songs are our favorites.)

This video had my 1 and 3 year olds mesmerized from the opening moment. Wiggle Time has fun songs, dancing, kids, all the favorites like Dorothy the Dinosaur and Captain Feathersword, a magic trick and some live footage from a Wiggles' concert. We have watched it over and over again.

We love it and sure you're toddlers will too. It's Wiggle Time!

My three year old and 16 month old love this video! Great songs with snappy tunes. My kids love to dance to this dvd. I highly recommend it!
The Wiggles are Australia's hottest children's entertainment and it's easy to see why. This 40-minute video is packed with 16 fun songs that make children want to dance and, yes, wiggle. Greg Page, the main vocalist, has a pleasing, folksy voice reminiscent of Canada's Raffi. Murray Cook and Anthony Field accompany on guitar, Jeff Fatt accompanies on accordion and keyboard, and all three dance, wiggle, and teach kids song-specific movements and lyrics. The songs themselves have imaginative lyrics and catchy melodies, a fact that hints at Anthony, Murray, and Greg's backgrounds in early childhood education. Costarring with this foursome are four lovable, costumed characters: Dorothy the Dinosaur, Captain Feathersword, Henry the Octopus, and Wags the Dog. The majority of the video features Greg, Murray, Anthony, and Jeff on uncluttered sets with simple background props that set the mood without distracting viewers from the musical experience. The latter portion of the video features several live performances ("Wags the Dog," "Five Little Ducks," "Wiggly Medley") fromThe Wiggles Big Show. The tour brought the foursome to America in 1999. This award-winning group from Australia provides a fun, interactive musical experience for kids ages 1 to 6.--Tami Horiuchi

(Great suspense!!!)

(Does your sister have issues like this?)

(DePalma's Psychotic Siamese Sisters...)

(Siamese Twins with a French-Canadian Twist)

(I love ya sis, but please quit killing my boyfriends...)
Awesome thriller.
Will remind Hitchcock.
Losely based on some true facts.
Has some intense scenes mid-way when it its all clear to the viewers.
Terrific start. End may not be the best.
A Must watch, buy if you can view thriller again and again.

In the end, a quality work. The way the story unfolds itself is one of the best I have ever seen.

This is a great film! Although the acting is a bit rough for a few characters I found myself drawn into the story line. We have Danielle Breton (Margot Kidder) has a one-night stand with a black TV-game show player. The morning after, he is killed by Danielle's psycho twin sister, Dominique Blanchion. But Grace Collier (Jennifer Salt), an aspiring journalist, sees everything from her flat across the street. Things get even uglier when the journalist starts following Danielle and his strange ex-husband, Dr. Emil Breton (De Palma perennial weirdo Bill Finley). What dark secret lies behind this murder? Uh? Of course, nobody really seems to care about the plot - De Palma plays the genre rules, twisting every second with his split screen techniques and neat suspense touches. There is a "dream" sequence, some blood, a hideous scar, drugs and a birthday cake.

Sure, the movie owes more than a passing nod to Psycho (Collector's Edition) and Rear Window (Collector's Edition)specifically, but De Palma's exhilarating use of that split-screen technique as well as Margot Kidder's creepy performance add up to a genuinely frightening experience. The "peeping tom" opening is brilliant. The humor doesn't lessen the shock, but rather enhances it by keeping the audience continually caught off guard. He takes the most vulnerable and receptive of human reactions--laughter, fear, and anticipation--and pushes them to their extremes until the audience is caught up in giddy bewilderment. You don't know what the director is going to pull next, so you can't prepare yourself.

De Palma is nothing if not a visceral filmmaker, and in his comfort with the comic and the horrific, he resembles Roman Polanski more than he does Hitchcock. Taking into consideration their mutually varied filmographies and how they've been received, it seems a more apt comparison. The one major difference is that Polanski has a deep sense of the tragic, and almost always ends on that note. Not so much De Palma. In the final scene in Sisters, we find Charles Durning's private dick, who had all but disappeared from the movie, high up on a telephone pole dressed as an electrician, dutifully watching a couch through a pair of binoculars. The movie is over in every way--the blood has been shed, the mystery has been solved, and the suspense is gone--except that it apparently isn't. De Palma wants to leave us with something else. So we have Durning waiting to see who comes to get the couch. This could well be that Shock Recovery Period that the movie posters promoted. This was another great film that was highly recommended by Chris and the one only #1 Depalma fan R.A. Bean which I greatly enjoyed.

In 1973, after spending the last few years making great independant films like "Murder a La Mod", "The Wedding Party", "Greetings", and "Hi, Mom!", Brian Depalma was put on the map as the new Master Of Suspense with his first 'mainstream' film, "Sisters", a very demented, deranged, twisted, psychological horror film that rivals even the best of todays top thrillers. He uses themes that would continue throughout his career in this film: The doppleganger, split personalities, multiple personality disorder(s), mistaken identity, voyuerism, and horrorfying psychological madness and muder and mayhem. And sinister satire!
The film starts as a game show "Peeping Toms" is being played out before a live audience. The contestant on the show, a young black man named Philip Woode (Lisle Wilson), and the guest 'prankster', a model named Danillele Breton (Margot Kidder in her BEST performance ever). After the show is over, Philip recieves a gift card which is a ticket for two to have a free dinner at an African themed restaraunt, and for Danielle's participation on the show, she recieves a very nice set of steak knives (establishing sterotypes and irony in one set piece).
They attend dinner together, where they are followed by Danielle's ex-husband, Emil Breton (William Finley), but he is removed from the restaraunt; so they have a very nice dinner together, then go to Danielle's to spend the night together. As they are making out, we are shown a very large, ugly scar on Danielle's thigh.?.?.
The next morning, there is loud yelling from the next room, someone calling out "Danielle! Danielle!" in a very impatient voice that awakens Danielle, who goes to respond, having a conversation, one person speaking French, and Danielle in French-English (the accent she has throughout the entire film); then coming back and telling Philip that it was her sister, well, her twin sister, Dominique, and she is upset because today is their birthday, and she wanted to spend the day together, and is upset that Danielle has a man in the apartment. Philip gets dressed, and goes to the local pharmacy for Danielle to pick up a prescription for her, and in the meantime he drops by a local bakery and buys a birthday cake for the twin sisters, Dominique and Danielle. When he returns to the apatment, he is murdered in a very shocking scene that I will not detail for I don't wanna spoil it for people who haven't seen the film.
From a window in a buiding next to Danielle's apartment building, a young female reporter, Grace Collier (Jennifer Salt) witnesses the entire muder in an awesome split screen scene that DePalma first employed in this film; and, in which he uses effectively in a few more scenes. She calls the cops, there is an investigation, but no body is found, but this is when Grace starts noticing signs and/or clues that Danielle may have a sister, a TWIN sister, and all is not what it appears to be; so, she hires a private detective, Joseph Larch (Charles Durning). He finds a folder that has files on the Blanchion twins, an infamous story about two Siamese twins who got seperated about a year before, so Grace investigates the story further by seeking out the top reporter that was there during the operation, Mr. McClennon (Bernard Hughes), who tells Gr
