(Eliminates All The Mess Of Corn Cobs)

(Squirrel corn)

(Fast Service)

(Squirrel food.)

(squirrels and many types of birds love it too.)
I have been using these for many years. They are ground up whole corn. When squirrels eat off of corn cobs they eat just the tiny germ and then discard the rest of the kernel creating a big mess.

I live deep in woods virtually surrounded by State Park/Lake/Wildlife Habitat, Towns Habit, County Habits and Audubon Lands. Off my house is a tree level 30 ft X 30 ft deck with many METAL bird feeders on two sides hanging out into the woods. There is no way to totally protect them from the squirrels, who eat up plastic and wood, but using long, nearly horizontal hangers for feeders and safflower seeds for those that hang close to rails helps to discourage squirrel chewing. Squirrels aren't supposed to like Safflower but I have one pregnant female who eats safflower. ;(

Anyway I keep two logs out at all times for the many, many wild (obese) squirrel "pets" that live here. I can usually go through "only" about 6 logs a week (and some wildlife feed scattered on deck) as long as I bring one of the logs in every night that the opossums steal if left out.

I haven't observed any other birds showing much interest in the logs other than the Crows. They love them. We have several families of Crows who visit daily to eat the logs,Safflower seeds, and woodpecker's special suet (squirrels favor that one too).

BTW... On the few occasions we run out of Squirrelogs and are not successful hitting the few stores around that carry them but always seem to be out we have had to use corn cobs. Between the crows and squirrels we have to replace the cobs every hour or so. AND THE MESS!!!!!

This price from this seller is the best I have found even with shipping. And with one exception the packages from our local sources always have bugs in them ... the one that doesn't has the initials is PS.

You wont go wrong getting this product. I used to use the little wood seat to hold the logs. After the novelty wears off a strategically placed screw holder that comes with some of the packaged logs works fine and gives appropriate viewing pleasure. One local seller sells packages that icludes a holder screw in each package; others sell packages without the screw holders. The prices are pretty close. I have a huge collection of the screw holders and haven't yet found another use for them.

This product could not be located at the local store where it was originally found. I was thrill when I found the items on the internet. My squirrels are happy again and they can eat as good as the birds. Thank you.
We received our order in 4 days. This was the fastest service I have had to date.
I have been using this product for years. It also attracts Woodpeckers and Blue Jays and is longer lasting than other products I have tried.
Delivery was prompt.

Ever since I place one on one of my backyard trees. Just to keep them away from my fruit trees. I've had squirrels and birds from woodpeckers down to finches nibbling at it. And its gone in a matter of days. It is an excellent birdwatcher tool. if you have the screw-in stand for it, the critters will come.

(Great Product!)

(Mixed)
This dresser/changing table is a great buy for the quality and price. The color was a great match for the other cherry furniture in the nursery. The piece recommends that two people are needed for assembly, although I was able to complete the task on my own. There are definitely a lot of pieces and you will need a square-looking screwdriver for some of the parts. I believe this type of screwdriver is called a "robertson." It would have been easier if the manufacturer had included an allen wrench but that is really my only complaint. I would definitely purchase from this company again in the future.
This piece is not as solid as I'd hoped. It was also complicated to put toghether. I'm not sure it's worth the price.
This Sweet Morning Collection offers you this very practical Changing table featuring open storage space for easy access when changing the baby and some spacious drawers to store other necessary things. Its rich and popular Royal cherry finish will bring elegance to that baby's room and makes it easy to match. This changing table comes with shaped moulding and corners for increased security and features a nice decorative kickplate giving it personnality. Also available in our Florence Maple finish (3275-331)

(Great!)

(Interactive and fun)

(Truly the gentlest man for children)

(Gentle fun for young children)

(Thumbs up!)
These are very cute songs you can sing together! The children love the motions that go with the music. They will snap, stomp, clap on cue with Raffi!
This DVD is great for children. When I was younger and used to babysit, the kids I watched used to love this concert on a VCR tape. We watched it so much that I grew to love it too. Now, I have a son of my own and I knew that the Raffi concert was something I wanted him to watch. We started watching this when he was only 4 or 5 months old and now at 12 months, he is totally in love with the music. He laughs, squeals, gets sleepy and is completely entertained. Though it was made in the 80's, it is timeless! I also love the other two concerts, but this one is the best.
Raffi is the type of person who just wants every child in this world to be happy. He delights everyone with his infectious songs and warmth, no matter what the age. I never mind sitting down to watch with my toddlers because I actually LIKE the songs, just as much as they do. We also listen to the CDs which helps them know the words. This was made in the 80s so the audience members have clothes that are a bit dated, but it matters not at all. Your kids will love him. No cartoon images, and no sudden camera movements.

We had this video as a VHS tape when my younger children were little and now I am buying the DVD for my grandchildren. Raffi is gentle, silly, and upbeat in a way that young children seem to be able to really relate to. It is fun to see the kids singing along and trying to do the motions to the songs. And it is "safe" music that doesn't make me want to gag after I've heard it for the 30th day in a row.
My kids love this video, it's definately from the 80's but the silly songs remain the same. Kids love it.
Concert performances of children's songs.
Genre:Music Video - Pop/Rock
Rating:NR
Release Date:20-SEP-2005
Media Type:DVD

Raffi is something of an icon in the world of children's music, and it's no wonder when you see his folksy, expressive style and his talent for inspiring young children. This concert video features Raffi and his guitar on a simple stage before an audience brimming with enthusiastic young faces. Raffi sings a wonderful mix of 18 classic and original songs, many fromThe Singable Songs Collection, while beaming audience members clap, stomp, gesture, jump, and thoroughly enjoy themselves. Several pieces are performed a cappella, and there are even solo segments on kazoo and "air trumpet." So what's the best thing about Raffi? You'll have to decide whether it's his uncanny appeal to children, the comical lyrics in his original songs, his simple yet expressive treatment of well-loved children's songs, or the fact that parents can listen repeatedly to his music without losing their sanity. Whatever your choice, be assured that this wholesome video will completely captivate your child for a full 45 minutes. (Ages 1-9)--Tami Horiuchi

(Nice Addition for the Thomas Fan)

(Watch, Learn and Grow -)

(Typical Thomas)

(We love this DVD!)

(a terrific conclusion)
This is a nice DVD for the Thomas fan, although it is fairly short. Stories include "It's Only Snow," "Jack Frost," "Toby Had a Little Lamb," "Snow," "Thomas' Christmas Party," and "Thomas and the Missing Christmas Tree." There are also three very short, very easy games--"Thomas' Order Fun," "Match the Snowflake," and Decorate a Christmas Tree." For those with young children who are huge Thomas fans, this will be a welcome addition to your DVD collection.
I am a big fan of all Thomas videos as they teach toddlers good manners and have a positive story. Good DVD!
The actual Thomas videos are standard fare, but the video extras are not very exciting. There's one sing-a-long, which is "Winter Wonderland." Our copy came with a cute frozen Percy and Christmas Caboose.

We have found that with the Carlin/Baldwin/Starr (this one is Carlin/Baldwin), our son is not as interested as with the British narrator. Our son (two and a half) is used to watching Thomas on Saturday mornings on PBS. This is our first video. It has taken him a while to get used to the different narrators. Actually, the first few times, he lost interest almost immediately. As he has become used to the different narrator, he's gained interest, but if this is your first entry into the different narrators, just keep this in mind!

Overall, I'm just glad to finally have Thomas on demand!

A wonderful DVD for the holidays. We bought this last Christmas, and have enjoyed it all year. It comes with a darling wooden Holiday Caboose.
In my opinion this is one the last really enjoyable Thomas videos. I still videos like this one and the older George Carlin and Ringo Starr videos at the age of 12. This is probably the most recent Thomas video that I still watch and throughly enjoy. Most of my other favs are the ones from Carlin and Starr's careers. An excellent Thomas video.

(HORRIBLE)

(UNDER MY THUMB!)

(Great family film, School Appropriate and enjoyable!!)

(Show Sweet 15 to your Spanish I Classes!)

(A Horrible Pea Soup)
I watched this movie in school. Terrible acting. Boring Plot. Just an all around bad movie, one of the worst I've seen.
This movie is a poor look into the lives of illegal immigrants. It's very stereotypical and it makes our immigration people look bad. The acting was also really bad, and no one knew how to show real (seemingly) emotion. The script didn't help either...and the casting was bad. Oh well, I just hope a better movie comes out for this sometime!
This film is great. Karla Montana ("Stand and Deliver"),
and Tony Plana ("An Officer and a Gentleman"), Jerry Stiller (George Costanza's dad on "Seinfeld", Kevin James father in law on "King of Queens") and Susan Ruttan (Artie's secretary on "LA Law") are fantastic in this 1990 film. It does not look dated, (OK, there are some great mullets!) but the themes are timeless...coming of age, first love, second generation teen struggling against first generation parents, themes specific to latinos such as illegal immigration, quinceañeras, amnesty. It's all here and it all works. I have bought it for myself and my sister, purchased one for our middle school library and loaned it out to countless friends. They all loved it. Great for classrooms learning about other cultures, also social studies, it brings up some great issues.I highly recommend it!

I am a Spanish teacher in Florida, where Spanish is prevalent. We always show this video after presenting the"family"chapter. The clothing may be dated, Ramón may seem a little"old"for Marta, but other experiences lend a lot of validity to being a teenager, not just a"quinceañera". This video kept my students' attention, and that says a lot. They followed every conversation. They were especially involved in the dinner scene when Marta and her father had words. I could hear them talking about what their own father would have done.(smile) Not one of my students complained about it. They learned what"migra"meant, and they learned a bit about the harsh reality of being from Mexico and coming to the USA to make a living. One message was not to take so many things for granted.
This movie was not at all tasteful, but rather stupid. I swear, this was probably one of the stupidest and most pointless movies I have ever veiwed in my life! The actors were casted all wrong, and did a horrible job on their parts. This movie was a waste of time.

(TENNESSEE WROTE THIS WITH TALLULAH BANKHEAD IN MIND...)

(Another Good Tennessee Williams Film Adaptation)

(You haven't seen anything yet...)

(What a treat!)

(Sweet Bird of Youth)
THIS MOVIE, DISAPPOINTED TENNESSEE WILLIAMS, BECAUSE OF THE CHANGES MADE BY THE CENSORS. THE FILM DOES CONVEY THE ACTUAL PERSONALITY OF THIS POSSIBLY GREATEST OF ALL AMERICAN PLAYWRIGHTS. A REAL INSIGHT INTO THE INNER PSYCHE OF MR. WILLIAMS, OFTEN REFERRED TO AS A "POET OF THE EMOTIONS".

THE CHARACTER OF ALEXANDRA DE LAGO MIRRORED THE PERSONALITY OF MR. WILLIAMS, IN THAT HE HAD EXPERIENCED A BRILLIANT CAREER, AND WAS GETTING OLDER, AND SUFFERING MORE HEALTH PROBLEMS. THE CHANCE WAYNE CHARACTER PLAYED BY PAUL NEWMAN, ILLUSTRATES THE TYPE OF MAN MR. WILLIAMS WAS MOST EMOTIONALLY ATTRACTED TO IN LIFE. GERALDINE PAGE GIVES AN INTERESTING PERFORMANCE, BUT IT WOULD HAVE BEEN A MUCH BETTER FILM, IF INDEED TALLULAH BANKHEAD COUD HAVE PLAYED THIS PART, ESPECIALLY WRITTEN FOR HER BY MR. WILLIAMS, AND ONE HE WANTED HER TO PLAY.

TALLULAH BANKHEAD TURNED THE PART DOWN BECAUSE SHE FELT IT WAS THE STORY OF ANOTHER DEGRADED SOUTHERN WOMAN. ED BEGLEY STEALS THE SHOW IN THIS FILM, AND DESERVEDLY WON AN OSCAR FOR HIS PERFORMANCE.

Tennessee Williams' plays often adapt well to the cinema; "Sweet Bird of Youth" is no exception. Starring Geraldine Page as Alexandra Del Lago and Paul Newman as Chance Wayne in the role they created on Broadway, the film is chock full of what we expect from Mr. Williams: fragile beautiful women, handsome flawed men and a story fraught with more Southern gothicism than a lesser writer could have handled. Alexandra is a fading actress in the company of Wayne, her gigolo/driver, as they return to the Southern town that Wayne has left where his old girlfriend Heavenly's-- do you believe that name?-- father is the mayor. Even though the censors sacked the veneral disease and castration in the original Williams play and added a Hollywood happy ending, there are still enough kinks remaining to go around.

While all the actors give decent performances-- Ed Begley won a supporting actor Oscar for his portrayal as the mayor-- Geraldine Page is simply magnificent as the over-the-hill substance abusing actress. Newman plays well the role he has done over and over, the handsome brooding stud who cannot keep his shirt on.

If we ever doubted that the sweet bird of youth flies away quickly, we need look no further than the interviews with some of the actors included with the DVD. Shirley Knight who plays the peaches-and-cream beauty Heavenly had aged so much that I didn't recognize her at first.

Williams' cast of characters are as memorable and American as Willie Loman and the characters in "Our Town." We will still be watching his works years from now as they have long been American classics.

What performances, what a cast, what a movie! And what a play!

A truly sadistic interwoven story about "owners" and "owned" people, with a pinch of good old prejudice and bigotry in all the right places.

This is a long awaited DVD with as said, powerful performances throughout. The image is crisp, colors are vivid and the sound couldn't be more polished than this.

This is no action movie, but the story flows so smoothly that it will grip you nevertheless.

Highly recommended for all those who love a good transliteration of a master play into an explosive movie.

Watching the young and electrifying Paul Newman and the mesmerizing Geraldine Page in this adaptation of the Tennessee Williams play is a real treat. It's a pity they had to change the ending of the original play (among other things) to be "safer" for Hollywood standards in the 60's. Still it's a great story and we keep wanting more and more and more of Newman and Page together.
The short documentary on the film is also nice, with Shirley Knight, Rip Torn and Madeleine Sherwood sharing memories from the film set.
The widescreen transfer is fine even if the image is not as clear as it should be.

Dealing with faded looks and broken dreams, all of it stewing in a cauldron of ugly family conflict, "Bird" is as much about the cruel rotisserie of Hollywood fame as it is a dark observation of damaged relationships. Newman is virile and intense as loner-loser Chance, while Oscar-winner Begley and Torn each turn in solid performances as Knight's menacing, vengeful male kin. The other true star of the film is Page, a real-life fading beauty whose boozy, down-and-out Alexandra epitomizes the kind of exaggerated egomania Williams set out to skewer. Don't let this "Sweet Bird" fly away.
Sweet Bird of Youthhas the Tennessee Williams penchant for provocation and Southern depravity--although at this point, the bloom is somewhat off the hothouse flower. Paul Newman is a cad who dreams of glory; he's returned to his hometown towing a dissolute, over-the-hill Hollywood star (Geraldine Page re-creates her Broadway role), certain she'll be his meal ticket. He's ruined the only girl he really loved (day-dreamy Shirley Knight), who just happens to be the daughter of the town's boss (Ed Begley, in an Oscar®-winning role). The play's more shocking elements have been euphemized, in the custom of the era's Williams movie adaptations. Director Richard Brooks handles it with intensity, and Rip Torn (who was married to Page) has some wicked moments, but the movie is bound to its theatrical roots and its inability to mention racism, syphilis, or castration. And that's Tennessee Williams without the hot sauce.--Robert Horton

(A great movie that offers a glimpse into what Jackie was like while married to JFK)
