At my other home, which is a small condo out west, I have had a Dyson Canister Vacuum for about four years which I like very much. This vacumm works as well if not better for a lot less money. I noticed a damp basement / old person smell in our front loading clothes washer. Affresh sounded like a great product to take that lovely smell away. The instructions are pretty simple, toss one tablet in an empty washer, and run a normal cycle with hot water setting. If the smell isn't gone, or the washer is has mold or mildew, repeat two more times.
The results are mixed. The first tablet made the washer smell a bit better, but those old folks were still in there. Since I had my head in the washer smelling around, I decided to study the rubber door seal. Oh, I found the culprit, a big beautiful old colony of black mold growing on the seal.
So a toothbrush, some other chemicals, and another tablet later; the old folks were mostly evicted. I'm guessing that third tablet might lower the smell level a bit. However, I've decided to call in the professionals, or some DIY, and replace the door seal. Until you remove those old black mold / mildew folks, their smell will remain.
I think this is a good product. The tablets do smell very nice - a subtle clean odor, not perfumy. If your washer has a mold build up in a door seal, then it will likely not fix that problem. The old folks will not move out to the retirement community because of these tablets.

(Best cleaner yet) 『I have had a problem with my HE washer and a horrible odor coming from it for awhile. I have tried everything possible to get rid of it. I saw this on Amazon and thought, will give it try, it may work and it may not. Well, first time I had to run my clothes washer through twice each time using one of the tablets and it smelled amazing after the second time. Three hours afterwards it still smelled clean. Two days later, it still smells wonderful. I highly recommend this product if you are having that persistant odor in your HE washer. 』

easy to assemble. easy to use. remember, you'll need to pump the handle to generate sufficient steam. used it on polished tile and it worked well. cleaned off grime quickly. in kitchen, it removed oily residue from floor after a number of passes. dried quickly and streak free. this is a real timesaver.
that said, its also very cheaply made. you'll notice how it strains when you try to move it from side to side along baseboards. it strains to the point where you might be concerned that plastic will crack. i'll be gentle with it, and i'm not one of those who will use it several times a week. i'll be pleasantly surprisd if it lasts more than a couple years.
would also recommend buying extra pads, since they get dirty quickly. remember, they're washable, but since they are microfiber, you CANNOT put them in dryer.』

While the smaller model was OK it did not make the room as toasty warm as we had hoped. After about two months the infrared bulb failed forcing us to return the unit to the manufacturer for replacement. The replacement unit arrived just days later with a letter of apology. To compensate for our inconvenience the folks at Eden Pure upgraded us to the Model 1000 product at no additional charge. As it turned out this was a terrific break for us as the Model 1000 was exactly what we needed. To make a long story short we have since purchased another Model 1000 for our bedroom and bought another for our pastor to use in his bedroom at the rectory. We count ourselves very happy customers of this product. We continue to be very frugal about they way we heat our home and use our heating system as little as possible. I would estimate that it costs us no more than 15 cents an hour to use the Eden Pure heater. Also, this unit does not get hot so it is perfectly safe to use around little kids and pets. Finally, the unit is mounted on wheels making it pretty easy to move from room to room. I have to admit I am flabbergasted by the number of negative reviews this item has received. I suspect that most people who wound up dissatisfied tried using them in very large rooms. But if you are actively seeking ways to cut the cost of heating your home consider Eden Pure. Check them out online. This week I noticed a tile missing from our OLD (solid) wood parquet floor. I was pretty unhappy with said mutt, sure he had done it, and had more or less resigned myself to spending hundreds, if not thousands, having the floor refinished (not knowing if it was even possible to replace). My husband suggested that maybe I had vacuumed it up. I did not think that was possible, and did not look forward to going through the vaccum bag :( BUT, these bags really saved the day. I opened up the vacuum, and there it was, visible in the window! (and consequently, easy to retrieve).
I immediately came back here to order more, not knowing if they would be available (since they are one flavor of generic). Well, they are, and I am ordering enough to last me a while, and hoping that these bags continue to be available!
Not everyone will find themselves in that situation, but the window is intended to let you know if the bag is full. They also cost quite a bit less than the OEMs, fit and work just as well in other respects. All that said, I likely would have ordered more anyway, but for me, these really saved the day.』

I have tile and hardwood floors throughout my house and the stuff that this steamer mop picked up was amazing. It works great on tile. sealed hardwood floors and even on a granite counter top. I was amazed out how nice and how clean feeling it leaves everything. I will be trying them on my shower doors next.
As some reviewers have stated on this same model but different packages there are a few flaws with this model, hence the 4star rating. First after one use the unit does not stand up correctly any more and the cord clips, although nice really don't work and tend to pop out very easily.
After using it there are few things I may suggest, first if you have a lot of flooring that you intend on cleaning, purchase more pads, 2 just won't cut it. Also, please note make sure you vacuum or dry dust you floors first, this will cut down on how fast you have to change the pads. The first time you use the steamer you will go through several pads rather quickly, this is due to the steamer cleaning your floor like it has never been cleaned before. Once the pads starts streaking I have found that it is due the pad being oversaturated and full of dirt, just change the pad and off you go again. I found that this will happen the most when you first use the unit. After several uses I have notice that the floors have gotten easier to clean and the pads last much longer.

I have a 20'x 4' intex pool and my yard is surrounded by trees. Well, you can imagine how bad it can get if the pool isn't covered and who has time to cover the pool every nighe or catch it before a storm comes. So I bought this vacuum and it picked up every leaf that was in my pool. It's very easy to use. Just keep in mind that if you have a lot of leaves in your pool in piles at the bottom of the pool, just tilt the vacuum on its side a couple of inches to get the leaves under the vacuum and in the suck zone. Rolling over the leaves won't always do the trick, sometimes it will just push them around the pull. As far as small pices of leaves and dirt go, it picked that up ok, but you should really use the smaller leaf vacuum for that which works just the same. This one is huge. Love it love it love it. Perfect for what I needed.』

(Frustrating - Not for real inground pools) 『I purchased this item thinking it would do a reasonably good job in my 44 foot by 20 foot in ground pool. This item is probably fine for smaller or above ground pools, but was very frustrating for a larger in ground pool. The net was very small and cheap feeling. The unit seems to be cheap plastic. It would not stay on the bottom of the pool and kept wanting to "float" to the top. The brushes fall out all the time, which makes them useless.
My advice is to buy a much more ruggedly designed one of these leaf vacuums from your local pool store, or online if you can find it. Get a bigger leaf bag in the unit, and make sure it has adequate weight to stay on the bottom of your pool and they wheels actually swivel properly. You will end up paying 2 to 3 times more for a quality leaf vacuum but at least you'll not be wasting your time with this "toy."』

Core2Duoノートレビュー 's review (An unexpected good feature) 『I found at my local hardware store a mop that seems to be very similar to this one and including an extra pad, costs less than the list price of this one (sales tax is less than the shipping charge). Mine has a plastic clip on the top of the swiveling head to clip it to the pole so it can be stored in a 'straight' shape instead of L-shaped. Maybe this brand has the same feature but it's not mentioned in its Amazon page.
The feature I like most which I wasn't expecting, was it's easy to remove the pad to wash in the sink between wipes of the floor. The pad is held on with hook-and-eye fasteners (or whatever the PC term is for Velcro) so I take it off, wash it like a dish cloth without having to manage the pole. This way, I feel that each wipe is comparably clean, that I'm not just pushing the dirt around. When I'm through mopping, I hand-wash and wring the pad then dry the floor with it. Finally, with these interim hand-washes, when I put the pad into the washing machine, I don't feel that I'm distributing floor dirt onto the rest of that load of laundry.
OK so maybe I'm a little obsessive-compulsive.
Oh, the only reason I did not rate it 5 stars, and this might not be fair, is it has no scrubbing feature. My now-retired sponge mop had a scrubbing strip on the back. This mop's pad makes it impossible to exert real force on a spot so I use a scrubby separately. 』

And to find out why you pay $400 for a shop vac, all you need to do is turn it on. It's incredibly quiet, will not tip over and will suck a rock through a straw. Okay, I get it.
One thing I don't understand is the hose. I assume Fein did some field surveys, and that was the preferred length, but it's way too long for me. Why didn't they split it in two, put a joint in the middle? Seems like an obvious feature they could have added. Anyway, I'm using the hose from the burnt out jobby, and the Fein anaconda sleeps on a hook.』
(Quiet, powerful convenient and costly) 『The new version of the Fein Turbo II has some improvements that answer criticisms of the previous model, and it's more expensive. Fein added two additional casters, metal clips to hold the top to the base, the ability to change suction power by changing motor speed, and a drain plug to make it easy to get liquid out. It still comes without any accessories except for a nice long 16' 1-1/4" hose and a rubber adapter to mate the hose with to a Fein power tool dust outlet. Fein wants far too much money for its accessory tool set, IMHO. But a 2-1/4" Sears or Shop Vac hose will fit the inlet, and/or you can buy 3rd party attachments for the 1-1/4" hose that comes with the vacuum. If you're going to attach it to a sander or other power tool for dust extraction, it's a good idea to buy the stepped hose adapter Fein sells. It's available at Amazon for a reasonable price.
Why would anyone pay Fein this much for a shop vacuum? Two reasons: quiet operation and the onboard power outlet that turns on the vacuum when you turn on a power tool plugged into the outlet.
Quieter operation may not seem important until you hear the difference. As another reviewer says, a big old Sears shop vacuum sounds like the deck of an aircraft carrier during takeoff operations. You need hearing protection if you're going to run it for more than a minute or two. The Fein sounds like quiet household vacuum, but it has enough suction and capacity for a workshop. The advantage of the auxiliary power outlet is obvious if you use a vacuum to extract dust when you're using a sander or a miter saw. The vacuum turns on just when you need it and shuts off on its own when you turn off the power tool.
The Fein comes with a cloth filter that will capture particles down to 5 microns, which is probably marginally OK for dust generated by a miter saw, but not for handling fine dust from orbital sanding or if you vacuum up after sanding wallboard seams. Fein will sell you a cartridge filter for 1 micron particles or a HEPA cartridge filter that gets down to 0.3 microns. You can buy a Gore Clearstream HEPA filter - the "Ridgid-Sears Red" version -- at Amazon or at a home center for less than a third what Fein charges for theirs. Gore does not list the Fein as one of the vacuums its filters will fit. But it does. Just buy a 2-1/2" x 3/8 fully threaded carriage bolt, a 3/8" wing nut and a 3/8" nylon washer and screw the filter down snugly. You don't need a bag if you use a cartridge filter unless ou're vacuuming hazardous materials.
Barely five stars considering that Fein ought to include vacuum tools in the box, but this thing really delivers on "quiet," on power and on convenience. 』

It does not leak - as per the reviews - and it has not leaked on me yet after a dozen uses. 3. It is made of stainless steel. It needs to be hand washed. The plastic bottom is a little brittle. It broke when it fell off my counter, but Laken's customer service is great. I have not had any issues with the bottom cracking otherwise. My only improvement would be to the handle. It sticks out from the mug quite a distance, which results in only being able to put it in my vehicle's cup holder one direction. This direction is fine when I am the driver, but a little odd when I am a passenger.』
(Bottomless Mug) 『I bought three of these mugs because I liked them so much. In a month the bottom liner broke on two of them. This was with normal daily use, no dishwasher. I tried holding it together with a rubber band, but the bottoms continued to crack until the mug was useless. Good size and absolutely holds the heat as advertised, although you'll get better results if you pre-heat it with hot water before pouring your coffee in.
