I recently purchased the Mighty-Mite Canister Vacuum online, based on the Amazon reviews, and because the reviews also noted that the bags were hard to find locally (thank you, reviewers!) I ordered extra generic bags online as well, from a different seller from whom I was also buying Shop-Vac filters. I'm very happy with the vacuum, and the bags seem to be doing their job well. They seem roomier than I expected for such a small vacuum, and are so easy to change, probably even the dog could do it (hmmm, how trainable are labs?...). We have a lot of dog/cat hair to contend with, so those features are important. They also seem to be good as far as allergies are concerned. I'm very pleased with the product.
I couldn't find MM bags in any stores around my house and I was thrilled when I found them on Amazon. And you get 9 bags for the price of 3 original ones! Great product, can't tell the difference between these and original Eureka bags!
My local stores stopped selling bags for my vacuum cleaner so I took a chance and ordered online. These bags were inexpensive, arrived quickly and work just as well as any brand-name bags I purchased in the past.

Works great (though it is not cordless as the description said). It has a powerful suction and does a good job with the car.

I'm not sure if this is possible in mini vacuums, but filterless would be a hundred times better... The filter is kind of fuzzy so it is a bit difficult to clean off, and it does fill up pretty fast.

Overall, I can recommend. Beware, if you are planning on using this with an inverter from your car, it uses 900 Watts and will not work with a lighter weight inverter.
I bought this vacuum specifically to clean the floor and floor mats of my car. I found the vacuum to be very powerful, and it picks up every tiny piece of debris. Because it comes with various attachments, I am able to get into small crevices also. I am very happy with the product.
i love this hand vac, i don't have much carpet in my home so this is ideal for the little messes my kids make.
I brought it and plug it to power on... Whoa! This is like monster machine!! Definitely powerful small vacuum I ever have! Feel like you are holding a gyroscope when power is on. Give it 5 stars.
I *LOVE* this little vacuum. It's super-powerful, easy to handle (although a bit heavy), and easy to clean. It's quite loud, I suppose that would be my only complaint, but it works like a charm. I have two cats who track litter all over my laminate floors, and it's so easy to sweep and then vacuum with the scorpion than it is to haul out my huge and awkward full-size vacuum. I usually only use the quick flip nozzle, even on my couch, although the attachments work well and are easy to attach. This is corded, so that presents some limitations, but it's so much more useful than a cordless because it actually sucks up the dust and debris and doesn't suddenly die from power loss. The cord is very long and durable, so I usually only have to plug it in one outlet, and I can move around several rooms with it. If you're looking for a great handheld vacuum, give this one a try. I didn't even think one could get a vacuum this good at this low price! I can tell it will last, too, because I've dropped it several times and it was absolutely fine!

This is a very effective steam cleaner. It's relatively light and easy to move around, although the hose is so long you probably won't need to move it much. The steam comes out with less pressure than I expected, but it doesn't seem to keep it from working well. I used it to clean a summer's worth of grease off my grill, and it worked great.

My only complaint is that there is no on-board storage for the many attachments. I simply bought a plastic container with a lid so that I could keep everything together, but it would be nice if it all stored in the unit.
I truly loved my steam cleaner, It did every thing I had hoped it would and then some I am still learning all the things I can do with it.

Best money I've spent in a long time! I love this thing!! I've owned it for a couple of months now and I'm still impressed with it. It's very well made, easy to use, and holds plenty of water for big jobs. One reviewer mentioned the noise level, and I do find it to be hard on the ears after awhile, especially if its used in close quarters such as a bathroom. I just keep earplugs stored with it and use those. To me, it's a small inconvienence to have to wear them in return for the awesome job this machine does. I've recommended this steam cleaner to friends and clients and if it ever dies on me, I'll be getting another.
Ok, I didn't actually read ALL 235 previous reviews. But so far as I know, nobody in the favorite reviews is telling you this isn't really cleaning with steam. Sure, it was probably steam coming out of the boiler. But once it makes it thru the generous hose and emerges, it is just really a warm mist. I aimed it at a thermometer and the highest I could get it was about 140 degrees.

As for how it cleans, it does ok on some things, but then again I'm not sure its doing much more than a misting of water from a spray bottle would have done. Its funny, before I bought this I was worried about safety and what would happen if I accidentally hit myself with the stream. After all, almost everyone has reached across a steaming pot on the stove and instantly realized how hot steam is. Not to worry. It's just not that hot out of the nozzle.

So color me disappointed. I was expecting a stream of really hot steam (you know, the stuff around 212 degrees) that would quickly scour surfaces. Instead I'm spraying them with what's essentially a heated plant mister.

If you are looking for a good machine for cleaning surfaces without the use of chemicals the this is a good choice. The reservoir holds enough water to last about an hour of continuous use and there is nothing like steam to get dirt, grease etc from bathroom tiles, floors etc.

I read a few of reviews complaining about various aspects of this machine. What I found is that this machine works best if you pay attention to the ready light and let it sit periodically to keep the heat up. Also after it sits their will be an initial spray of water before you get the dry steam. Spray that intial teaspoon of water off into a towel and then start cleaning and you won't soak down what you are trying to clean.

Otherwise this product is great and I would highly recommend it.

I looked at several local stores to find the filters and could only get them here. Got them fast and the price was right.
Can't say much about filters. They are the right filters and trap a lot of dust etc. Probably better than buying filters manufactured by others for this machine.
I am happy with the price and product. I wasn't able to find this filter at any stores, so I would definitely order again online.
I bought the Dirt Devil vacuum almost a year ago. The price was right, and so was the size for my small apt. I am impressed with its suction power, and am always amazed, and a bit puzzled, at all the dirt and lint that it picks ups and twirls into a ball. This is a small apt, and I live alone, where does all of that come from?? I wonder if someday it will totally suck up my rug, or perhaps it's pulling it up from the apt below me? Because of this strong suction power the filter and the canister get clogged easily, and it loses some of its "sucking it up" ability. I have to take it apart and clean it after 2 vacuumings! And, I have spent almost as much in this past year on new HEPA filters, as I have for the vacuum itself. Also, not being able to buy the filters in a store and only online, is a pain. I would not buy this vacuum again, even if it is cute and in my favorite color, purple!!

Well...I'm not sure what to say about a vacuum filter. They filter dust, which is good! I guess if you're going to buy a filter for your old dirt-devil vac, you might as well buy this one (if it fits). Since this is a commodity-item, go with the cheapest you can find; Amazon had the cheapest deal by a buck or two.

I have always dusted with my vacuum and this is by far the best tool I've used so far. The flat shape makes it easy to get into hard to reach places.
This product does exactly as it claim, it dusts, it even dusts well. It is defiantly overpriced, but if you hate dusting you have to have this product.
I'm unimpressed and don't feel that this is worth the extra money. The brush attachment that the vacuum comes with works just as well, if not better. My Swiffer duster works better.
This is the only tool I have used that actually works on my electronic equipment. It did just what it is supposed to do. A regular brush tool never got all of the dust from the TV and all of the equipment surrounding it. Worth the money.
The thing works really good with blinds, table tops, computers, monitors, electronics, but a little harder for tighter surfaces. It doesn't work too well where the dust is really packed in, like the blades of a ceiling fan. Would probably be ok with a different flexible attachment, but overall, it does what it's supposed to do.

I've purchased this battery a month ago and so far no issues. Hopefully it will last longer than the original!
My original Roomba battery died after 1 year and 1 week. This replacement battery works great so far at about half the price and I don't notice any difference to the original battery. I don't expect the life time to be much less than the original either. So this is a great value!

This product arrived quickly -- in approximately 3 days. It was easy to install. It has worked great for about 3 weeks now. I haven't timed the robot's operating time to know if I'm getting extra time out of this battery, but it sure seems like it.
Excellent product! Works well with my Roomba 530. I got more than 120 mins out of this battery. Just hope the battery life is long.

The Marshalltown vacuum sander works great. It's very easy to use and there is very little dust. I was able to sand my bedroom in half the time if I was using a sponge or sanding without the vacuum attachment.
I would pass on this knowing what I know now. Turns out that the most effective way to sand drywall compound and control the dust is to simply hold the end of the shop vac hose near where you are sanding and it gets almost all the dust. really. What has worked best for me is to hold one of the circular sandpaper sheets that go on my power sander and just sand with it by hand holding the vac hose near it. The key thing (that I did not realize before destroying one shop vac from the fine dust) is to use the paper filter instead of the canister filter for sucking up drywall dust! duh. Anyway, this Marshalltown thing was ten times less effective with the dust than simply holding the vac hose.
This item works great, I would definitely recommend it for any home drywall projects. As long as your shop vac has the power (the little 2 to 5 gallon ones don't quite have enough ooomph) it'll vacuum 95% of the drywall dust immediately. Just make sure you buy a fine dust filter or bags for your shop vac. Additonal note: this is not a powered sander, you still have to do the actual sanding, it simply vacuums up the dust. I saw a previous review from someone who was disappointed because it didn't do the sanding for them.
I just finished a job repairing the drywall after an electrician installed 60+ can lights in an existing house. I also added over ten drywall arches in various openings thoughout the house.
I don't do this all the time, so I haven't invested in the Zip Wall or Third Hand systems.
Lucky for me is that the owners of the house had just moved in from a one bedroom apartment, so didn't have alot of furnishings, and were willing to tolerate some dust.
I bought this sander after reading the reviews and am happy with the purchase. The sander and hose are very durable- I stepped on the hose more than once and no problem. The ergonomics of the sander itself I liked alot. You hold one side and get one result, you hold the other side and get a different type of pressure on the pad, with a different result.
But, I ended up using it for only one purpose. I would use it for sanding the existing areas of texture and paint around the areas I was patching or adding an arch.
I've not used sanding screens before, and so far I'm not a big fan.
I found no way to get the results I wanted on the drywall joints without using conventional drywall sandpaper and especially the sanding sponges.
It was nice to, at least, eliminate some of the dust of the rough work.
In the work I was doing, drop cloths and plastic barriers were a must.

I read the reviews about this product because I had a fair amount of sanding to do on a basement sheet rock project. Overall, the product performed well for the rough sanding and had the variable air flow as suction can be great with a larger shop vac fitted with a HEPA filter. The rougher screens (80 grit) worked best to knock off the high spots and rough spots in the joint compound and very little dust was created with this unit. I found that a 150 grit soft sanding block worked best to resolve the gouge lines left by the sanding screens (even the 120 grit sanding screen). Overall, the handle design was good and comfortable. I ended up cracking the plastic coupling piece after reattaching the hose to the shop vac. I found that the plastic was thin and had to run to a home center in order to retrofit another coupling, which I was able to do for about $2.50...so no big deal. The product does exactly what it's supposed to do and as advertised. It's light weight, has good suction, draws the plaster dust into the unit and the environment is relatively dust free, but expect to clean the filter and shop vac frequently as the HEPA filters do clog after sanding 4-5 lengths of sheet rock. It's better to clean the filter than the whole room you are sanding and you can't beat the price.

I could not find any shop vac bags in my area to purchase. I needed these ever so badly. They tear very easy. Not a very sturdy paper product.
It does what it's supposed to do. I don't know what else I can say about a bag.
After much searching in the Internet, I found the replacement bags for my Shop-Vac All Around vaccuum that I originally bought online at Costco. They used to carry replacement bags, but that was several years ago. I've been working on a bathroom re-model and was quite happy to find these bags at Amazon.com. I will confess that I cut the end of my existing collection bag open and would dump out the contents and seal it back with duct tape - anything in a pinch. I bought 5 sets, and I might have to buy more. Now if I can only find a replacement filter....Go Amazon!
I bought the vacuum at Costco but then found I had to mail in orders for replacement bags at a total cost of $11 for 3 (including the shipping). No store has ever stocked these--not Lowes, not Home Depot, ACE, and NOT Costco.

Costco online *used to sell* a dozen pack on the website but now I can't find it--they discontinued the bags? The manufacturer, Shop Vac, now wants $7.95 PLUS shipping for three bags.

My dust collector system has a 4 inch hose and a 2 inch end on the saw (dust connector). So I needed this quick disconnect to attach the two different size hoses together. It works very well for my needs
I tried to use this thing to connect to the 4" output of my delta jointer and planer, but it just doesn't fit that great... I don't know if I'm just dumb or what, but I was under the impression that it should attach to any machine with a 4" dust port. It didn't fit my machines...
These have a really, really basic problem - they fall off. Another reviewer mentions using duct tape to hold them on - which completely flies in the face of their purpose - to quickly move the hose from machine to machine. The plastic is too hard and the taper isn't designed properly. Manufacturing quality isn't great - they are only more-or-less round and given the taper problems and hard plastic, the results aren't good: They don't slide on most machines' dust outlets deeply enough, they don't seat, and they don't fully seal. I went back to using the raw hose end, which works fine when using a soft hose.

(Perfect change of pace in my Oregon fire lookout tower)

I am staffing a fire lookout in the Oregon wilderness this fire season. It is my first time as a fire lookout (I'm a retired airline pilot). Although I do all the cooking back home on the East coast (in a dynamite gourmet kitchen), the scratch cooking and cleanup were wearing me down in the cramped confines of the lookout (15 X 15, no grid power, haul water for cooking and cleaning up 60 steps, etc).
Then I discovered Mountain House Pro-Pak single-serving freeze dried entrees. I also buy the 2-serving packages, and have the leftovers for breakfast or lunch (the USFS provides me with a propane stove and refrigerator). Last night I fixed a Mountain House Rice&Chicken entree and steamed some fresh broccoli as a side disk. It was wonderful. Cleanup was much easier than when I cook a full meal (even a one-dish meal).
Tonight I am having a Mountain House Beef Teriyaki with Rice entree and a spinach salad. I'll fix meals from scratch again from time to time .. maybe. But I love my Mountain House. Not only does the product make life as a forest fire lookout much more simple .. but it is a darn good hot meal.

I use this as a blower for cleaning out computer cases. The canister is fairly heavy metal. The power is very strong and this does a fabulous job - saving me the cost and bitterant hazards of canned air!
I've had this for a few weeks, and I use it only for blowing dust out of my computer and inside a roomba dust bin.

I compared this to a standard con-air hair dryer, and in the datavac there is slightly more pressure in two of the nozzles (the eardrop looking one and the long crevice tool). Although the pressure is not THAT different. If you were to develop a nozzle for a hairdry that constricts the air, it probably would be a similar flow.

The datavac is also slightly more powerful than the air sprays I used. I also like it better since it doesn't leave that residue on your electronics!

I was hoping for a little more power, but I'd have to fork over another 50-100 dollars for the higher power model. Still, it does the job, and it satisfactorily replaces aerosol cans.
It works as advertised. But is very noisy and heats up quickly. Not the best engineering, I'd say. But there isn't anything else on the market that I've found that is this specific to the purpose.
Bought this for my daughter for her sewing. She cleans out her machine with it, and also uses it for cleaning computers. It's not for general cleaning. Works fine for it's purpose. She likes it. It's inexpensive. From here, price-wise, you will spend much more for a 'pro' type model, and it works much better than a Dustbuster or Shark type cheap-o vacuum.

Wow is this a hyped market. This filter is costly but it does work and without ozone generation. The main drawback is the noise. Comparatively the noise should be evaluated in an objective way, but any perceptible noise is a shortcoming for me, especially since this kind of filter (portable room type) can only work if it is kept nearby. I attribute a lot of this filter's effectiveness to the V5 Cell filter, but I haven't tested without it to be sure. One thing is for sure, this filter makes a very noticeable difference in the room where we keep it running. We run it on 1 (lowest setting) nearly continously in a 10x12 room.

Some advice: source control, ventilation, filtration (in that order). No one in my home is hypersensitive but we minimized the worst offenders in building, floor and wall materials and furnishings, and we control kitchen sources with a 650CFM overhead hood. Like many people, I have cleaner air outside than in, so ventilating is far more cost effective than trying to filter everything. We use 120CFM (fan rating) positive pressure ventilation in a tight 1900 sf building envelope (specifically we ventilate to ASHRAE 62.1 spec). Ventilation intake is filtered with 3M filtrete, but the main HVAC recirculating duct system cannot handle the pressure drop of serious filtration (most residential system can't). Because a whole house filter is not just a bolt-on for us but would mean a total redo on the duct system, in-room filtration is the preferred solution. I researched and evaluated in room filters and bought this IQ Air. I have had it for more than a year and I believe it is described accurately -- it's not a cheap rigged up filter on a box fan (it still costs less than $1000) or some hyped up junk (read: Shaper Image or Oreck). Although I think it is fairly characterized, it's not going to single-handedly fix air quality problems in a home (see: source control, ventilation first). Again, I rate this filter high, but it if I were to advocate a course for clean air it would be: source control, ventilation (then filtering).
I have purchased many air purifiers in the past, but they are either very noisy, or not working effectively. IOAir HealthPro is definitely the best I have ever used. Even though it is expensive, but it is worth it. Due to my allergy, there were many miserable nights of waking up in panic when I could not breathe. Those nights are gone. I cannot put a price tag on a good-night-sleep; therefore I appreciate the engineers who created this product. It is quiet and working very effectively.
This unit seems to be superior to any other air cleaner that I have tried (and I have tried many over the years).

This was supposedly a top-of-the-line air cleaner but I believe it was an overpriced rip-off and let me tell you why:

(1) Within one week of purchasing this unit from an authorized internet vendor, the unit got stuck at high speed and would not return to lower speed. Called vendor (who would pay you $20 to give them a good review) and they told me I could return it within the 30-day guarantee period. No help from them and no help from IQAir. Luckily, it returned to normal after one week.

(2) The power cable kept popping out. The castors at the bottom would break easily if you keep moving them around (not very well made). The most annoying part is any speed higher than 3 (up to 6) are very noisy and will wake you up. At speed 6 it sounds like a jet plane.

(3) After owning it for not quite 4 months and without using it for 2 weeks, it started emitting funny odor from the unit. The literature did warn you that chemical smell would be emitted from the V5-cell filter (specific for HealtPro Plus) come with this unit and any people who are sensitive to this type of smell may want to run it in an open space for 3 hours prior to its first use. However, this smell was generated after running the unit almost four months.

(4) The worse part was when trying to call their technical serivce. Called a total of six times in one day and could not get hold of anybody. To be fair, the person did call me back one time but missed me. Had to correspond by e-mails. He instructed me to keep only one filter in the unit at a time (Shlef 3 on top: Hepa filter; second: V5-cell filter and bottom Premax filter). They are a pain on the neck to take off but became easier when you got the hang of it. Found out it was the V5-cell (that was supposed to get rid of odor) actually emit the funny odor. The tecnical person at first said he would sell me another V5-cell filter prorated but changed his mind when I protested and decided to send me a new one free of charge. I honestly expect much better customer service (for solving problems and response time) from a company selling such expensive model. If this company does not improve its technical service, it is going be in troubles in a year or two with a bad economy. Why pay so much to suffer? ISE gives a 3-year in-home service for their hot-water dispensers, that is what I would call good service.

(5) You are better off just buy the IQAir HealthPro model because if you add $89 for the V5-cell filter to change it to a HealthPro Plus model it will still be cheaper than the price of a HealthPro Plus. They did not tell you that on the front end. My adivce is not to get the V5-cell filter at all because I do not believe it has as long as a shelf life the company claims. I beleive you almost have to change it more often in order to avoid funny odor.

I believe I would not have so annoyed if I would have obtained better customer service (technical service) from IQAir. oh Justin - what ARE you talking about? I mean no offence, but have you heard of Tarsis? That was the actual album you just reviewed. Vacuum is the name of the album but you seem to either have it mixed up with something totally different, or u actually think that this is the name of the artist/artists. Just one question - did you even listen to the album? In case you did and think it's THAT bad, then psy might not be your thing. Go dig in another genre, that's all I can say cuz I think this is FIINE. Know Tarsis can do some good stuff, so I'll put this one album here, somwhere in the middle. I'd have to say the"Melt"-album is better in comparison.

I cannot believe that amazon would charge $50.00 for something I got at Target for $5.00! Yes, I said $5.00. It was on clearance after Christmas. I only have 2 regrets 1) I should have bought 2 as my 20 month old now wants it and Target no longer carries it. 2)I should have gotten 4 because they break very easily. Had I known, I would never have gotten it in the first place. $50.00, your crazy to spend that much. You are better off buying the kids a real vacuum since they expect it to really work anyway!
The reviews were right (as usual). It's a cute toy, and a good replica of the real thing. It's only $20 at WalMart, so don't buy it here. But it's a little tall and hard to push, esp on carpet, for a small toddler. My son is a large 1.5-year old and has trouble. I think maybe 3-5 years would be perfect for this toy. We subsequently bought the Playskool and that one is a better height and is much easier to push, so it gets a LOT more playtime. I also like that it turns on and off automatically when the child pushes it, as my son struggled with the on-off switch on the Dirt Devil.
DO NOT BUY THIS HERE!! I bought this at a local Target for $11.00! My son who was 2 (only a year ago) at the time adored it and misses it terribly since it broke. It didn't last very long really its very cheaply made and can't withstand the battering a young child gives it. Having said that its very realistic looking, will pick up tiny items like little pieces of paper, and makes a true vaccum sound. But come on $51+ you have got to be kidding me!! NO WAY IS IT WORTH THAT! You could get your child a real vaccum for that kind of money. I've also seen this in Walmart stores for about 12.00 but it is hard to find. Its one of those products that if you see it you better buy it cause who knows when you'll see it again. Shop around you can do way better pricewise!!
My son loves this toy - he's got three kinds of vacuum toys and this is his favorite because it best resembles the vacuum cleaner we have. Amazingly, this vacuum actually sucks up a bit of lint. The hand vac can easily be detached. The only problem we've had is that with the first one he had, the handle broke off - not from the seam, but the plastic cracked and came off. We couldn't super glue the piece back so we just got a new one for him and it's been fine. There may have already been a crack in the first one and it didn't help that my son can get pretty rough on his toys. Overall, this is a great buy!
Got this for my kids to play with and they fight over it. It's great, looks like my real vacuum so they love it!

I bought this toy for my one year old who enjoys watching her granma clean.....my daughter loves it! but i do have one question....why would anyone pay 130-174 dollars for it??? is it a collectible? i saw it listed for that price and thought it was just insane....if anyone knows why it would be priced that high please let me know:)
Since it arrived in the "On" position, we assumed it was the batteries, but that wasn't the problem. Is this problem common? We had already tossed the original box and it is such a hassle to find and box up an item this size in order to return it. Other than that, it was such a hit!
Bought this for an 18 month old and she loves it. Comes to visit and starts searching for it first thing. Shame she will run from a vacuum in a few years when it would be helpful.
Our son loves this toy! He puts it next to our vaccuum every night and says goodnight to it. I'm so glad he no longer screams bloody murder when I turn ours on. Now he vaccuums right along with me and he feels like he's done a wonderful job cleaning up all the tufts of dog hair from the carpet!
This is a fun toy for toddlers. My 2 year old and all his friends love it. It makes realistic vacuum sounds and operates like a real vacuum. There are sipnning parts inside the canister that make it look like it's really working. Unfortunately it doesn't realy suck up the dirt. I just HATE how it always talks! He makes comments, in a stupid clown's voice, such as, "This place is a pig-stye!" or "Who spilled the beans?" This toy would be so much better if you could switch the voice off and just have the vacuum sound. Other than that, it's very durable and well-made.

This is a student friendly book and the material very well presented.
The production quality of the book itself is however sloppy. The text is too close to the binding or the spine of the book and makes the reading quite tedious. This is very ignorant and unprofessional by the publisher.
I give the book 5 stars for content and zero star to the publisher.
With this production quality the book should cost no more than $30.
Again a decent book ruined by the printing quality. I don't know if it was only my copy purchased at UK, but the shamelessness of the publishers seems to have no end. The first edition of the book is printed like the 'printing on demand' books, that is, poor quality galore: a bunch of leaves with a tiny font, glued in a cardboard covers. Be sure to have it in your hands before buying it, so you can see what for are you going to pay 100$, or you'll have a big disappointment.
This book is simply , the best choice if you are planning to teach GR beyond Schutz or Nightingale.
I am inclined to landau and Adler .I am a Geometry - biased physicist.
This book ,reviews the Geometry of manifolds , recalling even Gauss-Weingarten equations!! .
Then it covers the standard ,Vectors , Tensors, Special Relativity interior and vacuum solutions. Black Holes and Gravitational waves.etc.
Later the authors proceed to derive Kerr Metric , from Ernst equation , something that you don't see very often . I was yearning for having a copy of Adler , since is the other book that cover Kerr derivation is Chandra , which is too picky. But then I got lucky ,I found this book.
Something even more interesting s that it incorporates Advanced Topics like Kaluza Klein and Brane Cosmology ( Randall -Sundrum) etc.
The book brings step - by step derivations and a considerable amount of Exercises.
It is a noble , friendly book , produced by Physicist that really want you to learn ..Buy it .

The BEST Boo and Baa book is "Boo and Baa Have Company." This one (Cleaning Spree) is the second best. It has a lot of humor in the simple text and very expressive drawings. Boo and Baa set out to clean house but end up getting very dirty themselves. The drawing of them in their towels after their bath is priceless. My 3 y.o daughter loves all the Boo and Baa books. She loves how this one ends with a snack- very comforting.
The description written by the seller (elistics) said "gently used, in almost new condition". The price I paid was $19.95. When I received the book, several of the pages had water damage and were stained. When I turned to the back, the original retail price was $7.95. I hope the seller feels good that he/she made a profit off of a teacher teaching children with special needs.
My two and a half-year-old niece has gone Boo and Baa crazy, and requests the Boo and Baa stories several times daily. She makes up little songs about Boo and Baa, and refers to them even when she's not reading the books. I think the appeal is that the stories are about things young children can relate to, and often have experience of, and the hapless sheep find the world as surprising as little ones often do. They may not know why things happen the way they do, but have fun anyway. Also, Boo and Baa are a boy and girl, and they are portrayed as equals. Both are enterprising, both can get a little scared or apprehensive, and they are not slotted into doing"boy things"and"girl things"respectively, but both can do everything, as opposed to many other children's books. This series is a great choice for young readers!
