(love it!) 『our family loves this product! my mother suffers from carpal tunnel in her wrists and is unable to vacuum as much as she would like (she's a clean freak and accepting of it). our roomba (now renamed rosalita, after rosie from the jetsons) does a great job cleaning three tiled rooms with alternating rugs and plenty of furniture to bump into. the roomba is obviously not able to get every corner but it does a great job trying. she's full to the brim every time we empty the container of dust! we run rosalita on a schedule twice a week, before and after weekends, and we don't wear shoes in our home and she still comes back with a full bin of dirt every time. its amazing how much dirt appears in the course of a few days despite our home being as clean as it is. the scheduling is very convenient as shes cleans and returns to base (under the couch out of sight) for charging without any interaction from us. we just have to remember to empty her out at the end of the day.
i have a few complaints that are mild importance to the overall functionality of the product. the spinning (detachable) brushes that peak out from under the right front to reach hard to reach corners break off in a matter of a few months time. the replacement ones are too expensive to sanely purchase again and again. we have opted to just leave the spinning brush off.
my second problem is that though the device slows down before it makes contact with furniture, its still plenty capable of denting or scratching your furniture over time. we didnt notice this at first but over time all of our furniture has black marks at 3 inches from the ground all around the house. there is an easy solution to this, although i wish it was built into the product design. i read this in other reviews and chose to ignore it but i highly SUGGEST THIS. just add some adhesive padding to the entire outside of the device (being careful not to block any of the sensors). this has pretty much solved the scratch and bumps problem.
overall we are very satisfied with the product and i always recommend it to friends. it has come to virtually replace our home vacuum which i didnt think would happen at all. this little guy has exceeding our expectations.』

Core2Duoノートレビュー 's review (Fine for light jobs.) 『Although there are already 5 vacuum cleaning systems of varying sizes and degrees of complexity in the house, I get this small canister specifically for the multitude of electronics in my office.
It is quite small and the canister design allows access into tight space such as the inside of a PC. The power is more than adequate for this kind of jobs. The filters are washable and re-usable, so I don't have to worry about keeping replacement around. It is a little heavy for its size, mostly due to the Ni-Cd battery, which cleverly doubles as the stand. There are three nozzle heads, including one designed for pet hair. To me, three are enough for this light-duty vacuum unit.
As can be expected, the Achilles heel of a cordless electric appliance is its battery. The cheap Ni-Cd battery takes a long time to charge and a short time to drain. For cleaning PCs, the charge usually is sufficient. I am surprised, however, that this vacuum does not run on the power from the cord. Once the battery is out of juice, there is no alternative to waiting a few hours for it to recharge, which is not the most convenient thing.』
(Battery Life is awful :() 『This would be such a great tool if you had the option to plug it into an outlet for uninterupted power. It takes all day for a full charge and you only have 5-7 minutes to use it before the battery runs out. I vacumed one set of blinds and one curtain and it was done. Not worth the money. However, if you Black and Decker decided to re-design with a power cord; I would re-purchase in a heart beat :)』
(The little vac that could) 『This is quite handy little vac, and with the extendable hose, it will reach most any where. Yes the battery runs down at about 6 minutes, but if I have a big job, I use my regular vac. It is as loud as my regular vac. I recommend this.』
(good portable auxillery vacuum) 『Bought this product primarily for cleaning the car and small accidents and jobs around the house. The cordless feature is a definite plus when doing the car and quick jobs like vacuuming a hard to reach corner, edging or books/bookcases. It did a nice job of a dusting off a bookcase that hadn't been cleaned in several months, but I found that emptying the dust from the bin was not quite an open and shake operation. A bunch of the dust clumps in the back of the collector bin filter did not empty out until I removed the filters and used a small brush to help it empty out.
The vacuum is extremely portable and (for me) has a rather loud whinning motor noise. But I guess this is to be expected with a small vacuum with exposed exhaust. Trumps the dustbuster I previously owned with more suction and a hose feature.』

It will cost you more in repair cost than it is worth. So, once your Pro Heat breaks down go ahead and get one of these Hoover Pro V's. You will notice immediately an improvement in the cleanliness of your carpet. Yeah its made of plastic, but what do expect for about $180. It will pay for itself over time, or you can call a professional and pay more. Just like any thing you have.. take care of it..clean it thoroughly after every use..it will last longer.
Pros:
1.# Cleans better than the Bissell Pro Heat. Cost is about the same 2.) Does not seem to use as much carpet cleaner #which is expensive) as the Bissell. 3.) Better suction than Bissell..carpet will dry faster. 4.) The spinning brushes seem to do better on carpet in general and stains. 5.) One tank for hot water and carpet cleaner and separate tank for dirty water..which I like better over the Bissell. 6.) Easy to clean after use. 7.) Removeable hose caddy. You don't have to carry around what your not using. 8.) Easy to use. Follow instructions carefully for best cleaning results.
Cons:

(Good carpet cleaner for the money) 『We've never had a carpet cleaner before and at first the directions seemed difficult, since this is not an "auto rinse" unit; this means you have to fiddle with switches for soap dispension, clean water rinse, and water pickup. But, it turned out not to be that difficult to do. Both my husband and I have used this machine, and we are both happy with it. We've used the detergent that came with it, and also some Simple Green. Both worked nicely. Be prepared to empty the dirty water container and refill the clean water container several times for a big room. Again, not a big deal. Loved how dirty the water was that came out of the carpet. Overall, very satisfied with the purchase. It's easy to clean, too. As an aside... I still can't figure out if it heats the water or not. Again, who cares? None of these units really use "steam", despite their names...』
(It Works!) 『I have two dogs, one a 14 year old dalmatian with a bad bladder, so keeping the carpet clean is an endless chore in my house. For the past few years I'd just been using spray foam carpet cleaners and I knew they didn't do much. I've hired professional carpet cleaners in the past and twice was very disappointed with the results. One left the carpet completely sopping wet and it took two days to dry and it wasn't even clean - in fact, it looked worse! Another professional cleaner used a chemical "dry" method and the results left much to be desired. I was skeptical about buying a carpet cleaner but was convinced by all the good reviews here. Now that I've tried it out, this thing actually works! The reviews were right.
It shipped fast, was easy to assemble and it's very easy to operate and I'd never used a carpet cleaner before. I was shocked to see how much dirt was in the living room area rug after dumping out the tank. Liquid mud! My daughter's bedroom was even worse, with worn-in old stains, and now the carpet is actually presentable again!

After a lot of debate, I ended up with this one...why? because it is bigger/taller (25" high) than the other ones I saw, doesn't talk, doesn't need batteries and was nicely priced at ToysRus. It makes a soft whirr/vrooom sound when you push it, the little beads in the see thru canister bobble around when it is pushed and it seems as close to a real one as I could find that was age appropriate. It does take a little oomph to push (like the mowers as opposed to the lightweight ball poppers) so I would say it is geared for a 1+ year old who is walking pretty well. Of course, you can also drag it on the floor :) The handle lays flat when not in use, it sort of stands ups but doesn't lock in (none of the toy vacs seem to do that). Overall, I'm satisfied with it and so is my daughter.』

I glued it together to see if it would work, but needn't have bothered. The light and the magnifying lens do not focus on the same place and the light is not adjustable. The quality of the plastic lenses is very poor, reminiscent of the little magnifying lenses I used to get as Cracker Jack prizes, and obscure more of the field than they magnify. The "adjustable" headband is not as represented. It is two metal wires and is not adjustable. The "instructions" consist of a small page with some diagrams and a few sentences in extremely small print and in nearly unintelligible English. Obviously poorly interpreted from a foreign language. The company's return policy is cumbersome- you have to e-mail them for a return authorization, mail the product back at your expense (and not the cheap way- you have to get a tracking number), then e-mail your tracking number to them. I'm going to try to return it, but I feel like just throwing this piece of trash where it belongs. I rarely use it with an iPod but have streaming audio like Pandora, cds and dvds played through it via an outboard D/A converter. I am amazed at how good it images and how deep the bass is.
Now the things I don't like. The unit has an all smooth, plastic case that scratches extremely easily. I wish it was textured if it had to be plastic to make the scratches not so obvious. The unit runs a bit hot and the top panel actually cracked from the heat - either add some cooling vents or use a better material. The included cables are extremely thin and flimsy and several are hard-wired to one unit or the other. I'd like either better cables or the ability to use my own. Also, the cable that connects speaker a (containing the power amp) and speaker b is way too short for my taste. The remote works okay to adjust the volume, but it adds an awful clicking sound to the audio signal.』

It's easy to hook up (although the instruction manual leaves a lot to be desired) and the tube illumination looks cool when the room lights are turned down. I looked at the Fatman systems online, and this seems to do the same thing at less than half the price. A great bargain, the only unknown buying from this manufacturer is how well it holds up over time. So far, I'm very happy with this purchase!』

This is one that can be used with 'hot ashes' or a few coals still in the box. One set easily lasts a season but I've been able to use longer by removing and blowing them out with an air compressor.
The only problem I've ever had was my fault, letting the can get too full of ash and one of the coals came to rest against the filter and burned a hole. Otherwise they have been flawless.』

(What can I say - it works) 『Purchased to replace the filter that came on our used Cheetah vac. We heat with wood daily in winter (about 7 months of the year) and our ash vac is a lifesaver when cleaning the stove in the morning so we can start it up. Our last filter was of unknown age but I had to replace it when I sucked up a hot ash and the vacuum chamber was so full that the ash burned a hole in the filter. The replacement was easy to put on and so far so good. It does the job and helps keep down on ash dust in the house.』

It would not even start, which says more about the hub than the vacuum cleaner. Pushing the "turbo" button caused all the pretty lights on my USB hub to go out so long as I kept my finger on the button. I decided not to gimmick the USB hub with extra power to try and fix the problem.
After hooking the vacuum cleaner up to my netbook it worked fine, including the high speed button. Later I attached it to a monitor usb port at work and it was noticeably underpowered. Pushing the "turbo" button caused my monitor to stop working completely. Fortunately power cycling the monitor fixed that problem.
For all the laughter and fun I have had with this preposterous device, I strongly recommend not attaching it to any electronic device for which you have feelings.』

Core2Duoノートレビュー 's review (Not enough humidification for the dollar and decibel) 『I bought this unit hoping that it could keep the humidity in my small Colorado apartment someplace around 50%, to keep my instruments happy and healthy. I figured this might be worth the price if it worked, but unfortunately, the unit went back to the store the second day I had it. On day one, I left it running on the lower, quiet overnight in a largely sealed apartment, and according to both the built-in hygrometer and a separate one, it wasn't even able to hit 40% humidity. Unfortunately, the stronger setting is also as loud as my dishwasher, and thus, not suitable for constant use. I'm also concerned about cleaning it, and frankly, if I'm going to pay $300 (I used a coupon), I'm going to expect a great deal more results.
If the air cleaner approach is required, I'd recommend the Venta line, as I used their middle-of-the-line model without problems for around a year. It too can't reliably put out enough humidity to control humidity changes, and they lack any kind of hygrometer switch, but they're much more quiet, and the model I had was nearly $150 cheaper.
So, nice try, Air-O-Swiss, but a machine this expensive is going to need to be a great deal quieter and effective.』

(Works for sure!) 『We bought this product a while back and this is the first humidifier that we've bought. I did some research and wanted one that was a combination of an air purifier and a humidifier. So far, we love the product. My wife says her skin and hair feel much better. She also has sinusitis so she has also seen a big difference in her ability to breathe.
The only problem we've had is that the digital display is a little too bright for us! It illuminates the room a little too much. Other than that we love its two speed function, love the fact that it doesn't have any filters, and that it cleans our air. It also has a section where you can put a cotton that has been doused in essential oil so it humidifies and smells good!
We've already cleaned it about four times because it got dirty very fast for us, and it reminded us that it was time to clean it. I haven't had a chance to go around cleaning the humidifying discs, and wont be able to comment on how easy or hard that is.

It worked so well on the upper level of my home I bought two for the lower level as well as nother one for the upper level to accomodate the space. We have stopped using the humidifier that is hooked up to our AC units as well as the one connected to our heating units. Cleaning is a bit of a task but if you treat the machine well it will return the favour. We live in Colorado and as of recent the relative humidity has been around 5% and these machines are keeping the humidity level very steady at the 45% we have it set at. Even in the winter the machines are able to keep our humitidy leves at 50% or higher as we have occasional set it for. It is very important for us to keep the humidity up as we are very concerned about the wood furnishings we have and making sure they are kept in not such a dry air home and the furniture is doing great. I would highly advise that this is the best purchase you can make and your sleep will even improve with the improved air quality. The noise level is not a bother; it doesn't interrupt our daily lives. You are running a humidifier that is acutally working, it is not going to be silent.』
