Excellent suction and design features. Only drawback is it is difficult to push/pull - it drags. I used WD-40 on it and it made a huge difference, tho' it should still be more free-flowing.
I love this vacuum. I have hardwood and Berber carpet in my home and it is a very small home. This vacuum is so compact but has a lot of power and makes sweeping very easy with little effort. It doesn't have attachments but I use a shop vac for any of that. Five starts without a doubt!

This is a small upright vacuum cleaner. I was attracted to the light weight and the folding design. Unfortunately, this vacuum is difficult to maneuver, requiring significant force to push it across a carpet. Furthermore, it leaves unattractive marks on the carpet. I would not recommend this vacuum cleaner to anyone.
The reviews we read were right on; we have a black lab and 2 cats, all of whom shed and bring in dirt. We filled up a bag on the first vacuum with this Electrolux, and are happy with its performance and manageability. It folds up very small so as to be unobtrusive and is easy to use. Wish we'd discovered this unit prior to buying other vacuums that do not come close in performance. At $99- this was a great deal!

I am a person who trust the user reviews and blindly buy the product if it has good reviews. But that turned wrong on this product. I wonder how people gave 5 star rating for this product. It doesn't solve the purpose at all. The motor is so weak. You can hear its struggle as you move it. And obviously the suction force is very feeble. The only pros is the auto-rewind feature, which is really good. I had an Eureka prior to this, which was very powerful with self-propulsion, and a knob to switch between hose and floor. It is better to have both separate so the suction power would be great. It wasn't expensive either, I don't remember the price but it was almost close to this hoover's price. I wish I bought the Eureka again. I would not recommend this product to anyone.

The suction is quite powerful, handle very nicely, perfect for someone my size (5'2"). I wish the electrical cord was a bit longer. I am very happy with my Hoover (the previous vacuum had been a Dyson). It would've been nice if the vacuum had arrived sooner than the 13 days!
I got this for a steal and it would be worth the full price. It is very powerful and the bagless feature is easy to use.
Be careful if you purchase this product. The price is decent, but you have to keep it moving or it could cause damage to flooring. I luckily read about this issue from a reviewer who damaged the floor when letting the vacuum sit on unprotecting flooring while using the accessories. I vacuumed new but inexpensive carpeting with it and the amount of carpet fibers in the container blew my mind. Even at the highest setting. It is pretty heavy, and if you leave it sit for more than 10-15 seconds on a single spot it could cause damage. Use the highest setting on carpeting and keep it moving.
I wanted to like this vacuum because it has all the basics right. It has the attachments you would expect, including a pet hair vacuum for the extension. It's bagless and the canister is easy to empty and clean. The filters are also easy to remove and clean. It was cheap. It has good sucking power... at least at first.

No matter how much I cleaned the filters, this vacuum would not suck anymore. It only lasted about a year. I took apart the filters and made sure they were spotless. I didn't see any other blockages or stuck parts. It just lost all its power! I even took it in for repair, and they said it was worthy of the dumpster.

If you have a lot of pet hair, don't get this vacuum. I'd only recommend it if you want something cheap and you don't vacuum that often. Otherwise, get a nice, heavy-duty vacuum from someone like Riccar.

I bought this carousel with the offer that came with the coffee pot (Keurig B60 Special Edition Gourmet Single-Cup Home-Brewing System) as a Father's Day gift. After reading the reviews that it might not spin very well and flimsy craftsmanship, I was very dubious. However, I was pleasantly surprised when it arrived and it worked perfectly. Spinning it was the first thing I tried and I did not have to hold the base or anything. As for the quality of the materials... sure it could be made out of a stronger metal but it would also make the product heavier. I prefer the fact that it is lightweight. It has exceeded my expectations and I'm glad I decided to get it despite the negative reviews.
When I received this, one ring was broken off. It is cheaply made. Returning for a refund.
Never ordered or have used this item. It appears on my "review" list in error....what can I say??
I purchased this item and THOUGHT I was getting a carousel with K-Cups. INSTEAD all it was, is a carousel. EMPTY

Well, if you are like me and continually ordering different flavors, this makes the decision so much easier. It's right there in front of me and I have it loaded with all my favorites, so I just grab one and that's that. Also makes it easier to get the boxes off the counter, and put them in storage for a couple of weeks. Very good idea and not obtrusive at all, perfect size.

I am thrilled to have found a place to purchase these bags - they are becoming hard to find locally. They were a decent price and were delivered promptly. I will definitely order again.
Have the vacuum for 1-month, works great. Not sure about the filter bag yet, but hope it does the same.
These bags are somewhat difficult to replace. Takes a few minutes of wiggling and pushing. This also prevents the sticky tab for sealing the bag from sticking to the opening.
I bought this vacuum for my son who lives 10 hours away. He has turned into a neat freak (yes!!!!) and cleans his apartment regularly. I have a bagless vac at home and hate it when it is time to empty it out. It seems I get as much dust out into the house as I do picking it up. This new Hoover vacuum is air tight. When it is time to change bags, it is simple and efficient (no stray dust particles). He changes the bags regularly and buys the hypoallergenic type. Since he has allergies, this vacuum has worked much better for him than the bagless one I had. How do I know? After I would vacuum my house he would always sneeze. He does not sneeze after he uses his.
We've owned Kirby's, Oreck's, others and, for the money, this one wins hands down. It's lightweight, easy to manuveur, and almost drives itself. We have a medium nap carpet and have our unit set on the highest setting. It's great on pet hair (we have a yellow lab) and does a good job along walls and corners. The bag check port is a nice feature. The cord could be six feet longer and the on/off switch should be foot-operated or on the handle rather than the bag housing. The accessories are o.k., but difficult to use on stairs. Overall, for general cleaning, the unit performs magnificently considering a price under $100.

Via Amazon is a great way to get this filter, which usually is not carried in the hardware store. A clean filter makes the dustbuster so much more effective! I was amazed.

The Shop-Vac dry/wet cartridge filter I ordered arrived very quickly, good packaging, and it does everything it is supposed to do. Because I had a hard time finding the right filter (Shop-Vac's site didn't really help much) I ordered 2 filters at once. The Shop-Vac is a great product, and has served us for many years, so I'm sure both filters will get used.
This filter is hte best filter for the job and the price is just right!
Like most homeowners I do a variety of jobs around the house that require various tools. My wet/dry vac is one of the most important tools to me (or more importantly my wife) as it helps me clean up all the messes I make when doing these jobs. This filter does a great job when it is new as it keeps all the dirt/sawdust/leaves/etc I pick up with it in the container. However, after using it sporadically over a few months the filter gets clogged with all these various things, especially if there is any moisture. When I try and clean it out it works ok but not great as it just continues to get clogged. Overall it does what it is supposed to I just don't like replacing the filter every few months....
Finally replaced the original filter that came with my 5 gal Shop Vac with this dry/wet cartridge filter and wondered why I waited so long to do it. I used my Shop Vac to vacuum the fur my German Shepards left behind in the garage and it use to smell like a dirty dog everytime I turned it on. Now, with the new catridge filter, no more bad smell and my Shop Vac operates at optimum efficiency.

This filter does what it's supposed to do. It's easy to install and is a convenient and effective alternative to using separate filters for wet and dry jobs. While I've heard some complaints that the old wet filters were easier to clean, I haven't found this to be an issue.

Make sure this cartridge will fit your particular Shop-Vac model. According to the manufacturer, it does not fit the following models: 1x1, BullDog Portable, Mighty Mini, Hippo, Hang Up Vacs or AllAround Series.--Josh Dettweiler

Works well. I chose this one because it runs on electricity and I wouldn't need to be near my computer to vacuum my sewing machine equipment. It has good power and does the job!
The way it is described in the catalogs and on the box and the way it is packed, you would think you would need to keep small children and animals out of its way, but that is definitely not the case. The other reviewer said that it was worthless when it is clogged. Well, if that is case, it sure doesn't take much to clog it. I used it on one not particularly crumby keyboard and I literally could not tell if it had ANY (I mean ANY) suction. You would get more suction putting a straw to your mouth and sucking.
Worst accessory ever! DON'T BUY IT. It doesn't have power to blow or vacuum a smallest piece of styrofoam or paper. It'just doesn't work, it looks nice, but is utterly loud and gets clogged in a second, I mean if you somehow manage to scratch some dust of your equipment.

As advertised and arrived charged. Cheaper than buying a new sweeper and having to discard a good sweeper minus a battery.
If you own the swivel sweeper and your battery isn't holding a charge anymore, just order a replacement. Done.
A few days ago my swivel sweeper (which I love) stopped working properly. I would turn it on and it would stop running after less than 5 minutes. So I thought my battery was dead and could no longer hold a charge, possibly from me overcharging it. I bought a new battery and while waiting for the battery to arrive, I googled on the web and found a site that suggested cleaning the gears and connectors under the plastic gliders of hair and other stuff that accumulated there. It took me a while to take it apart as suggested (one side at a time), clean it (a bit messy; I used an E-xacto trimmer to cut through the hair that accumulated) and put it together again BUT after cleaning, my swivel sweeper worked like new even with my old battery! I am also now using a timer with the charger to ensure I don't charge my battery for more than 6 hours. I'm still glad I ordered a new battery as I feel it will be good to have two batteries. With three german shepherd dogs, the swivel sweeper is my daily cleaner and without it, I can't even imagine what my floors and carpet (not shaggy) would be like! It is a God send with picking up the dog hair and food that falls on the floor.
I purchased 3 of these batteries and within 1 month one is already bad (won't accept/hold a charge). I'm not sure if the problem is battery quality or charger quality or a combination thereof.

Definitely will not purchase another swivel sweeper product - because of the battery problems.
My Swivel Sweeper quit working in less than a year even after taking meticulous care of it and continued maintenance. The new battery helped for a few days when the sweeper quit working again. The life of the Swivel Sweeper is short, but I decided to buy the battery in hopes to prolong my use of the sweeper. Of course, I was happy with the battery and the low cost; however, the purchase of the battery assisted in my decision to save money on the purchase of another Swivel Sweeper.

I use this recorder for recording class lectures and meetings. Once the file is transferred to the computer, the quality of sound is excellent. The software (comes in a CD with the recorder) allows you to increase/decrease the volume. Even if you are sitting very far (30-40 feet) from the speaker, you could record and listen to the speech later on. Memory space allows you to record for about 12 hours.
I bought this little recorder in a hurry for a lecture the next day. I was ACTUALLY ready to buy a microcassette recorder before I woke up&realized the potential lack of hiss&flexibility in recording voice MP3s. The recorder is simple to learn (took me 3 minutes)&worked flawlessly. Crystal-clear recordings, great&easy downloading to PC, terrific Digital Voice Editor software.

I am looking forward to using this for dictation to make voicenote reminders to myself; also to possibly use with Dragon Naturally Speaking to write dictated e-mails (it's supposedly compatible), and also Microsoft OneNote. Highly recommended.
I dictate texts for transcription. I need very little during recording: (1) a pause button to think what to say next. In this device, a recording can be stopped, but not paused. After each stop a new file is created. There is a way to override it, but it requires pressing several buttons several times. (2) A Rewind button, to listen to the most recent few seconds or minutes. I couldn't find how to do it after studying the Instructions for almost two hours. If it is at all possible, it is not practical. (3) A Partial Delete button to delete the last segment if needed. It seems to be possible (if I understood the instructions correctly), but only after pressing several buttons several times.

It is a shame because the sound quality is outstanding and this device can be useful if you just put it on the table and let it record whatever is happening.

I returned the recorder to the store.
Long story short. While it has a usb port, it does not go into mass storage mode. So you need the proprietary software on the CD to read your audio from it. There is no linux version of this software.

I did not try to get the software running under wine or an emulator.

Other than that, seems to work fine.
First, let's correct the Amazon specs on the size and wt. of this item. The true dimensions are 4.25 in. tall, about 1.5 in. wide, and .75 in. thick. The recorder weighs in at 3 oz., with batteries installed. I've included an uploaded photo of the recorder hand-held.

The manual is extensive, although the odd labeling of the recorder's keys makes it a little hard to follow. A slide switch on the upper left side of the recorder labeled "Hold" turns it on and off. You can select one of the five message "folders" (A-E) by going through a menuing process. Each folder can hold up to 99 messages, depending on your chosen recording quality level. Once you have selected a folder, creating a message is accomplished just by hitting the large red "Rec/Pause" button. You can pause and continue a message just using this button. Playback is also simple, using the large "Enter" (Play/Stop) button.

More complicated features allow you to add-on to a previously recorded message (one which has been "Stopped"), split a message into two separate messages, record with voice-activation, etc., etc. Messages can be erased one at a time or folder-by-folder.

The included software lets you upload the contents of your recorder to your PC and play the messages from the recorder or the PC. I have run mine on an XP-Pro machine, and checked to see that there was a Sony update for Vista 64-bit compatibility, which downloaded and installed just fine. Once the messages are on your PC, you can re-name them (just like any other files), delete them, or split them up. You can also convert them from native format to MP3.

The recorder has four different recording quality levels and two levels of mike sensitivity. An editing feature lets you boost the sound for otherwise unintelligible portions of your messages (I didn't try this).

The playback volume range seems acceptable even for use outdoors, and I haven't yet tried recording in a windy environment.

All in all, it's slick--much better than I anticipated. Back in the day, you had to spend several hundred dollars for a recording/transcription device like this, and it chewed through tape cassettes.

One thing to be aware of: the recorder is so small that it might be easy to lose. There is a string lanyard thread-through point in the lower right top edge of the device, and I am ordering a string lanyard connector for use with a neck lanyard for it.

Well I bought this just because dust is everywhere and tends to collect on my vinyls. The first time I used it I took out an old jazz album that was pretty dusty, and surprisingly it picked up a lot of stuff! I then got a newer vinyl that is kept very clean (yet had a little dust on it) just to see how it works with that. After a few spins, it seemed to collect like 97% of the dust! The design is nice, but it could have been made out of metal or something. Still it works great, and I use it all the time (sometimes on my computer screen too). I hate you dust...

At this price, I would have expected more from the product, especially considering it loses (micro thin hair like) bristles easily, which can be difficult to remove from the record using the brush itself.
I bought this same brush under a different name at a local record store for 10 dollars. It works as good as any brush. Like it has been said you push it with the bristles facing towards the driection your pushing to get all most of the dust out.
The AudioQuest LP record cleaner brush does an excellent job of dry cleaning records and also reduces static levels. Previously used the Discwasher brush and liquid cleaner system along with a pizo-electric antistatic "gun" to accomplish the same tasks. AudioQuest's brush is quicker and easier to use and accomplishes both tasks with one product. If your records have not been well maintained, you probably will need a product that includes a cleaning solution to get satisfactory results.
I got this to clean my records prior to digitizing with a USB turntable. First I used a swiffer duster to get most of the dust off, followed by a couple of passes with the Audioquest.

The vacuum is only minimally effective. If you need to pick up small debris, the pressure from the hose just sends in through the cloth bag. We put a knee high panty hose over the cloth bag that came with it and that helped some. The Intex Pool Surface Skimmer we purchased was much better value. It gets items off the water surface before they sink.

My son got this vacuum for his 2nd birthday and he loves it more than any toy he's ever had in his young lift. The evening of this birthday party he "vacuumed" our house for 45 minutes straight. He hasn't tired of it since. The vacuum sounds real without being annoying. It says some cute sayings. It reclines just like a real vacuum. It even has the attachable thing for hard to reach places.

On the weekends, my son and I vacuum the house together, me with my real one and him with his Dusty the Talking Vacuum. I love this toy, too -- it allows me to relax while my son is happy and occupied.
I bought this for a friend's little girl so I never got to see it in action. It seems to be a favorite though from what I hear!
We bought the Dirt Devil Jr first, thinking authenticity would be important. But the handle's a little tall for our tall 1.5-year old, and the vacuum is hard to push on carpet. He also struggled with the on-off switch. So, we bought this one, and he loves it. Right height, easy to push, and it turns on and off automatically with use. A loves it and so do we. The only complaint I have so far is that the hand attachment doesn't stay "docked" very well, so it just kind of hangs off the vacuum, but it doesn't seem to bother him at all.
Fantastic toy for a little two and a half year old. She uses it often. However, I was diappointed in the price of the toy. It was to much money for even as great a toy it is, but I was stuck with having to get it for a little granddaughter who had her heart set on a vaccum cleaner like Mom's. If I would have had more time to shop, I probably would not have paid the price for it.

This is a really cute product. My daughter is afraid of the "real" sweeper, so I thought this might help. She does use it occasionally. She isn't that into it. The hose has trouble staying attached - it doesn't want to clip into place. It works well and talks to you.

Love this and both my son and I use it constantly. I might even use it more than he does! My only issue is this - if you catch something on the smaller side, it can escape through the tiny holes near the blue turner things that open/close the trap (and yes, it was CLOSED!) But maybe the spiders I caught were just really smart!
This vacuum has as much suction as any other bug vacuum we have bought. Its easy to use and the buttons are easy to press. The problem I had with it is that if you such up something like pet fur on accident its very difficult if not impossible to get off of the filter. It does a great job of sucking up bugs though. It uses less battery power than a bug sucker with high reviews I bought from another store.
I bought the bug vacuum for my 4 y.o. grandson for Christmas along with the Eyeclops Bionic Eye. There weren't alot of bugs out in December, but he and his father managed to find a few. This is a nice, solid, sturdy toy and dad and son had a blast with it.
I gave these as gifts thinking that they would be a hit...well they were AFTER the parents went put and bought the eyeclops that goes with it. They should really sell this as a set. I would not reccomend this for the combined cost,

(Vacuum Bagging and Moulding Techniques for Homebuilders!)

This video is billed as a how-to, when in fact you can learn MUCH more by reading on the internet. While billed as a demonstration of techniques, they SHOW very little - the two people who star in this videotape must really have loved getting their 15 minutes of fame, because much the largest part of the program is them TALKING about what they did, with intermittent (and not very informative) glimpses of the actual work. Boring discourse and very little useful demonstration of techniques. Charging $45 for this talkfest is a JOKE!
This video was a great primer for anyone who is interested in learning vacuum bagging techniques or how composite structures are built. While the video suggests advanced audiences, I think it is also appropriate for intermediates and even newbies to composite structure construction. The video does a pretty good job of laying out a repeatable process as well as showing via the video how to follow these steps. While some"how to"video's move at a snail's pace, this one moves along more briskly but shows just enough that you should be able to get the hang of things and repeate the process. While some previous work with composites are certainly a plus when watching this video, I think this video could easily be used by new comers without too much trouble. The finished composite structure that is built from this video is beautiful and inspiring to those hoping to construct their own homebuilt creations. Kudo's too for building a video on a set of techniques are often thought to be"beyond the reach of home builders". This video brings home the attainability of this technology. I think the video actually could have benefited from being a bit more technical to help more advanced audiences (for example they don't give detailed specifics on the vacuum pressure or equipment used) but other than that it's a great video.

Wow, this one really took me by surprise. Found it at me local library and brought it back to the flat for a quick look-see. Who's to know it would have one of the funnniest lead turns since Gervais' classic David Brent?

Timothy Spall takes a great script and ratchets it up a notch. No holds barred and then some, his salesman is both riotously funny and sadly disturbing. But mostly funny! There's not a dull moment here, and the 75 minutes fly right by, goosed by Boyle's slam-bang montage vision.

It's not bloody simple to make something that's both horrifying and touching, but 'ere 'tis. The horrification comes from the unblinking portraits of England and the ugly reality of salesmanship; the tenderness comes from unexpected moments of real caring amidst the surreal hilarity.

If you like British humor at all, this is some of the sweetest black comedy you could ask for. Well worth your time. He'll even knock off a hundred quid for ya.

I bought this movie because I am a HUGE fan of Danny Boyle's work. His early work (Shallow Grave and Trainspotting) are some of my favorite films. I am highly awaiting his newest film, Sunshine, and am also a fan of his take on the zombie genre, 28 Days Later. So when I saw that Danny Boyle had directed this "hilarious" film, I decided to give it a chance. When it starts, I only hoped the whole movie didn't look horribly pixilated. To my dismay, the rest of the film did indeed look like this. Unnecessary angles, quick cuts, and a horribly jumpy plot line make this an atrocious film. Shame on you, Danny Boyle.
This is a great off the wall film. Good BBC production. Highly recommend.
The title of this review doesn't refer to the film, but to the noble profession of selling vacuum cleaners, further ennobled by the door-to-door approach. Marauders of the working class homefront, these sales blokes (it's a British film) pounce with ferocious, rapacious glee on the unsuspecting denizens of modularized same-look-in-every-unit apartment buildings.

One such--indeed, king of sales-driven ferocity--is Tommy Rag, an overweight, overwrought maniac whose own motivational tape (i.e., he recorded it himself)--"Sell, sell, sell, f**king sell, f**king sell"--is set to heavy metal music. This is one of numerous hilarious pleasures of this intensely manic made-for-TV (BBC) film directed by Danny Boyle. Played by Timothy Spall, Rag is anything but ragtag, but does manage to rag unto near-nervous breakdown his new protege, Pete (actor Michael Begley), a rookie salesguy who transitions from "mixing cassettes for teenagers" to selling vacs, all the better to insure that his stripper girlfriend won't leave him.

The script by Jim Cartwright is perfect, and is matched with Boyle's perfect direction to deliver a short (75-minute) film that couldn't be any longer and retain its power without flagging/fragging the viewer. Spall is nothing short of miraculous here, an unstoppable force that seemingly only hurricane Ivan might bring down. His intensity is so palpable you can feel yourself quaking, shaking, and roaring every time he makes an appearance (which is, in fact, most of the film).

A comic bash that pounds and astounds, Vacuuming Completely Nude in Paradise deserves a wider audience and more than makes up for Boyle's disastrous The Beach (w. Leonardo di Caprio; brilliant cinematography is its only saving grace) and lackluster A Life Less Ordinary. This is a 2001 film and let's hope it signals Boyle's return to the intelligence and power evident in his first film, Shallow Graves.

Definitely recommended. Guaranteed to induce hearty guffaws.

I'll always have fond memories of this movie. I first saw it at the 2001 Toronto Film Festival, just 3 days after 9/11. You won't find a much tougher crowd for a comedic movie to premiere to than the one assembled for this particular screening, but such is the power of this film's dark humor that it was able to evoke convulsive laughter even from an audience this somber.

Danny Boyle, who soared with the British films SHALLOW GRAVE and TRAINSPOTTING, then fell on his face with the Hollywood duds A LIFE LESS ORDINARY and THE BEACH, got back in form with this effort, reborn of the freedom that digital technology affords today's daring (and invariably under-financed) filmmakers. He's obviously fascinated with the limitless possibilities for camera placement that the technology affords, embedding miniature cameras all over the sets to permit individual scenes to be viewed from a rapid-fire succession of perspectives. His editing and music skills, combined with stellar camerawork by noted dogme cameraman Anthony Dodd Mantle, results in a raw, exciting new `dogme-MTV' type of look ... a look that Boyle put to good use in his subsequent hit, 28 DAYS LATER.

But `look' alone cannot make a movie. You still need a script to work with, and Boyle is blessed here with an outstanding one from Jim Cartwright. The story is nothing less than a bold and brilliant comedic re-conceptualization of Arthur Miller's DEATH OF A SALESMAN for the digital age. And unlike Miller, Cartwright doesn't play coy with what the salesman is actually peddling -- you know right from the start that it's vacuum cleaners.

The `surrogate' character in this film is a likeable young slacker named Pete (Michael Begley) who loves dance music and has some mixing talent, but hasn't been able to carve out any kind of career in the music biz. His girlfriend has to perform strip-o-grams in order for them to make ends meet, and they both want out of this situation in the worst way. The girlfriend's plight gets especially humiliating one night when she performs at a retirement party for a vacuum cleaner salesman, and on a suggestion, Pete decides to pursue a career in this profession as a way out for both of them.

Enter the most blazing, mesmerizing, maniacal lead performance by an actor in many a moon. Pete is made an apprentice to star salesman Tommy Rag, played with incredible over-the-top intensity by veteran Timothy Spall. If there was an ABSOLUTE `best actor' award for the BEST performance, period, in a given year, Spall would have been my hands-down choice for 2001. He makes EVERY ruthless salesman in movie history (Kurt Russell in USED CARS, the gang from THE BOILER ROOM, etc.) look strictly `soft sell' by comparison. This is truly a performance for the ages ... ONE THAT NOBODY WITH A SALES JOB SHOULD MISS!

You may think that you've seen the `rookie paired with vet' thing done to death in the movies, both in dramatic and comedic contexts, but I can assure you that you've never seen anything even close to the `eye or the hurricane' variant that Boyle has come up with here. What he's managed to pack into little more than an hour's running time is astounding ... a fully realized comic tragedy of Shakespearean proportions that manages to be relentlessly and mercilessly funny.

("I Know! Let's Try A Cross Between A Human And A Vacuum Cleaner!")

"Oversexed Rugsuckers From Mars" isn't what you're expecting no matter what you're expecting.

The short version is that Martians come to Earth ten million years ago to invent new life forms. They come back in Los Angeles in the late 1980's to find the human experiment is a complete failure. Pondering their options they elect to make a hybrid human-vacuum cleaner being who will better be able to clean up after itself. The results of this experiment go horribly awry during the remainder of the film, and lead to some of the most jaw-dropping concepts in film history.

After getting through the myriad of horrible previews that you can't fast forward through (a personal pet peeve of mine) the credits emerge and are promptly vacuumed offscreen. The interstellar aspiradora action begins in earnest when vulgar claymation Martians land on Earth next to a homeless hobo, Vernon (music producer Dick Monda). They promptly spike his booze in a nasty little scene while "Also Sprach Zarathustra" plays in the background mocking "2001." This contaminated alcohol awakens Vernon to his lust for household appliances, and he quickly finds Dusty, a old upright vacuum cleaner to first make out and later mate with. Subsequently there is lots of sexy vacuuming action with both uprights and canister vacuums, although the notable absence of wet-dry vacs was a surprising gaffe considering the obvious jokes that could have been made.

Although the sound quality is terrible (it's sometimes difficult to understand the dialogue) the annoying music manages to distract at key moments like when Vernon gets Dusty a bouquet and affixes it to the vacuum's bag. The film then cuts to a psychiatrist at the "Department of Indigence" who is begging to keep his job by proving he can rehabilitate any homeless person into an upright member of society. He picks Vernon for his grand experiment, as he's the only one with pigeon excrement on his head. Vernon begins his therapy by explaining how he fell into homelessness: he lost his kids in a boating accident, his wife ran off with a Fuller Brush Man, etc.

While Vernon is spilling his heart to the shrink, a street hood finds Dusty and sells it to a guy, Tom Oxlitener, who is having marital problems, as their canister vacuum is kaput. The wife is quite unhappy when Dusty is brought home as it is a quite old appliance, but Tom convinces her that it formerly belonged to the Queen of England and had been chiefly responsible for cleaning Buckingham Palace. What follows next is an extraordinarily disturbing scene involving whipped cream, suntan lotion, voyeurism, halitosis, and aphrodisiac tea vacuumed up by Dusty. This tea drives Dusty into a frenzy and it kills Beverly Oxlitener while Tom is in the shower, scavenging all her blood with its special schnozzle attachment. When the detectives arrive they have doubts about Tom's story, though one concedes "If this was the result of a faulty vacuum cleaner, I sure hope it came with a warrantee!" While all this is going on Vernon is despondent and is running through the streets crying out ("Dusty!") for his cherished aspiradora.

Tom quickly gets over his wife's death, and is interested in Rena, the singer in a local rock band. The music in the film really takes it up a notch from this point on, with lyrics about cleaning the dirt out of your bathroom rug, etc. My favorite line from any of the songs is without doubt "Have you ever tried to love so hard it gave your heart a hernia?" Tom likes Rena because she has nice legs and makes the best brown rice ever. Of course Tom is also confused by his toaster oven. Rena is dating Charlie, a loopy loser into all varieties of Eastern mysticism; he wants Rena to "lower her energy down to her base root chakra, then raise her energy you to the third eye." Rena is a real rock and roller, and a screamfest about base root chakras ensues. While that piece of drama is going on, next door Dusty lassoes Tom and ties him up with its cord while it performs unnatural acts with the hapless dimwit. The cops are called, and arrest Tom, who predictably yells "The vacuum cleaner did it!" The cops, who don't believe him, leave Dusty to open the oven and eat Tom's still hot TV dinner: Dusty signifies his satisfaction with a contented belch. Fortunately for Tom, Rena likes him, too. She even gets him a lawyer.

Rena wants action, and while Charlie is meditating about chakras and going "Ommmmmmm" endlessly, Rena watches "Lebanon Vice" on the TV ("You should have your eyes examined!"..."I will as soon as I wipe this guy's pancreas off my face!") After getting all riled up by the television, Rena goes out to perform with her band, "Ray Zone Day," where the drummer promptly sets his drum kit on fire. This band provides the music for Dusty to make its own music video, during which it gets back into the "Weeping Wanger Tea" and gets so excited that it tracks Rena to her apartment, chases her, roars, and consummates their relationship.

Rena bravely goes to the police, one of which actually gets to say "I want an APB put out on a vacuum cleaner. Medium height, brown bag." The police are now beginning to suspect Dusty, as the coroner's report mentions dust particles in the victims. While Dusty now wandering the streets Vernon is consoled by the shrink who says "It's not normal to carry on mature relations with a household appliance." Vernon doesn't care about societal values: he is in love. Although the police stage a lineup of vacuum cleaners, Rena can't pick out Dusty. This is one of the greatest scenes in movie history.

Despondent, Vernon is preparing to end it all when Dusty rolls down the street and leaps into his arms. They go on a romantic date in the park and even go for a paddleboat ride (!) all of which leads up to Dusty wearing a veil at their wedding.

Charlie and Rena are having relationship difficulties when it's revealed that Rena is pregnant: "How could you be pregnant?!"..."The vacuum cleaner, Charlie. It has to be." This proves to be the last straw for their relationship.

The movie abruptly returns to Mars where the leader is mad. The underling who contaminated Vernon's drink is sentenced to twenty lashes with a wet spinach noodle. The Martians revisit Vernon, who goes at it with one of them while Dusty gets jealous. Due to his continued issues, the shrink threatens Vernon with a lobotomy, but he has to catch him first. The cops find Vernon and Dusty sleeping by a railroad track ("Put the vacuum cleaner in the car, I'll get the indigent!") Dusty immediately outwits the police and escapes. While one policeman has a life or death struggle with the vacuum cleaner, another chases Vernon in a shopping cart race (the cops have a siren and flashing blue light on their shopping cart.) Dusty knocks one cop out and puts him in front of a speeding train, while the shopping carts are involved in a wreck.

The day arrives for Tom's trial, and the defense is spirited ("Objection! The prosecution is attempting stand up comedy!") In the worst courtroom scene of all time, pregnant Rena testifies, goes into labor, and delivers her offspring: a half Dustbuster-half Cabbage Patch Kid. This must be seen to be fully appreciated. Vernon kidnaps the Dustbuster and shoots Charlie for some reason. During the exciting police chase that follows the song about vacuums and special attachments is a perfect complement to the onscreen action. Vernon, Dusty, and the Dustbuster barricade themselves in a house and the cops plead with them to do the sensible thing: "We've got you and the vacuum cleaner surrounded! Come out with your hands and hoses up!" Dusty bravely hurls himself out of the window into a hail of bullets before dying in Vernon's arms. The Martians return to take the Dustbuster, which is now called the "Vacusapien" while "Also Sprach Zarathustra" and the camera work once again ape "2001." The cops allow Vernon and Dusty one last walk on the beach before Dusty is placed on the railroad tracks.

The DVD has several extras including the original cut of "Vac-U-Sapien," the precursor movie and some behind the scenes stuff. The additional "Lebanon Vice" material is extremely poor, especially the footage of a piece of aluminum foil. (Watch it and you'll see what I mean.) By far the best extra is the director's commentary track which reveals a few stunning things about the film, including the amazing fact that the entire film was shot for $1,100, including film (not video!), processing, and the cost of the camera! That even beats J. R. Bookwalter at his thriftiest! The commentary is actually insightful about low budget filmmaking, and especially about Super 8 editing. There is also a very interesting discussion on humanizing the vacuum cleaner so it would be a sympathetic character, a point I had never considered before.

Overall the film is an amazing and stunning piece of work: it is absolutely original and enormously entertaining if you can get past the seedier undertones of an outlaw gender-confused vacuum cleaner. This is low budget cheese at its finest.

I am sitting on the BackJoy right this minute, as I write this review! I use it all the time and can't sit on a chair anymore without it! It really makes so much difference in the way you sit and how long you can stay on a hard chair. It takes a few efforts before you get the hang of it, but, once you do, you will immediately find wonderful relief from back strain and pressure! I can't sit at my computer without it. It is a great product and I love it.
I have struggled with a massively herniated disc for a year and had a microdiscectomy 6 months ago. The pain and interruption of daily life has been reducing gradually every week since my surgery--there is hope, for those of you reading this who are afraid it doesn't get better, it just takes time and lots of care and patience--but one of my challenges is of course sitting. I have only been using the BackJoy for a couple of days but it is the best option I have tried so far. With back pillows and such that you stick behind your back, you're forcing the arch--sometimes more than necessary, I think--but the pillow is pushing at your back, which for me has led to a lot of stiffness and nagging pain. This is of course better than the alternative, which is agony, but with the BackJoy I feel like my arch is more natural, relaxed, sustainable, and just comfortable all around. I used it all day for one day at work so far and I noticed even when I was walking around that my back felt different, most importantly LESS PAIN.

I highly recommend giving this product a shot. It's reasonably priced, easy to use--it's so basic you'll feel like you're missing something, but the important thing is that you feel better. Good luck, I hope it continues to provide relief as my back improves.
I received this product ~ 1 month ago, i am 24 years old having back problem for 1 year now. i can't sit for too long (no more than 1 hour). I was hoping that this product will do like how they advertise it. Unfortunately I was unable to find it very helpful. I still cannot sit any longer than i did. I wish the product will present data of how effective it works for the general population. Without it no consumer can be protected for a bad product.
Excellent product! Sturdy, well made and the color of the fabric is a definitely a good choice. This product certainly does assit in sitting up and if used as described, relieves tail bone pressure. Highly recommended.

When a US company sends manufacturing to China they do not teach them how to make it correctly. Stanley is just another in a long line of American products that lost the quality when it was moved to China to be made by the slave labor. I will never buy anymore products from Stanley, they are a disgrace to America.
i have three stanley vacuum bottles (pint, 1.1 quart, 2 quart) purchased second-hand at various swap meets. i like to bring hot coffee to work in the mornings, but not one of these bottles is really good for more than 2-3 hours at best! i prep it with nuked or boiling water around 9am, let it sit 10-15 minutes, then refill with hot coffee. the coffee is great till about 11 am, and totally lukewarm by noon. i hear these are made in china now but these are, to my knowledge, the older american-made bottles. at least they don't say anything about china on the bottom.
my boss has two old stanley 'beaters' he got at swap meets, and his coffee stays pretty hot till 3 or 4 in the afternoon. am i doing something wrong?
i called customer service in seattle and asked if there were any other complaints as to heating problems. i was told 'no', and that i would have to send the bottles in if i wanted them checked out...at my expense, i imagine.
in all fairness i must admit i hit the coffee pretty hard, so each time i open the bottle cool air enters. my boss, however, opens his nearly as often, and his coffee stays hotter much longer!
after reading other reviews, it seems like about two-thirds of these bottles work satisfactorily, and a third are crap. i would definitely not buy one of these new, but would probably buy another used one if it were cheap enough. it appears to be a crapshoot whether or not i'll get a good one though.
i also have a 'thermos' brand bottle that somebody gave me, and an old 'uni-vac' that i got at a yardsale. the uni-vac is about as lame as the 3 stanleys, but the thermos works great! i have opened it late in the afternoon and enjoyed hot coffee. it is cheaper-looking and not as 'cool looking' as the stanleys, but it certainly does the job!
I had an old Stanley thermos that I bought at a church yard sale for .25. It would keep my coffee hot all day long. It's 3pm and I just poured a cold cup of coffee from the new Stanley my wife just bought (as I dropped my old thermos and broke the plastic top - it landed on probably the only place that could have ever damaged it). Why can't they make the damn thing the way they used to - it seemed to work great for like 60 years. I think I will get out the JB Weld and piece the old top back together and have my wife return the new thermos.
From reading these reviews, it seems like there is a lot of inconsistency in units purchased. I just bought a Stanley 20oz Bolt Vacuum Food Jar and the food doesn't even hold the heat for 6 hours. I have put boiling water in it for 20 minutes before-hand, dumped that out, and added oats and boiling water. 6 hours later, it is barely lukewarm. I have tried this two nites in a row. Then I read all the recall info from 05/06 and think that Stanley has real quality control issues now that these are being made in China. I am sending this one back and appreciate the posts that recommend different products.

Excellent product! Keeps soup piping hot for hours. Easy to fill, easy to clean and easy to use. Just the right size. I could not find this in any store, but Amazon came through for me.
I use this mostly for cold food (smoothies) so I can't say much about it's heat retention. I did use it once for home-made soup, though, and it retained the heat fine until lunch.

The thermos opening is smaller than I'd like, but for those who don't like eating or drinking out of the smallish opening or, for that matter, out of stainless steel, the cap is a very roomy and insulated bowl, with a taste-free interior.

I wish someone would make one of these things that is just for large servings of soup or stew, which is what I eat on the Volumetrics diet. It would be about twice as wide and half as tall, and the bottom would be more like the top. Just my crazy idea...
Just what I needed. I pour in the boiling water, heat up, then pour out and dry out, add cosmetic pads, take to my at-home office because I have a diabetic cat who has to have his ear pricked four times a day (I alternate ears) and the warm pad is used to warm up his ear and the prick goes without a hitch and the blood dot is tiny. Since I use a rollator to move around these days, if I did not have the pads already warm and handy, I would waste a lot of time tracking him down. Now when he is hungry he comes to the office and I have everything at hand to take his blood sugar. This works perfectly to keep the pads warm.
Very well made thermos and fits well into old style lunchbox. Must be preheated to provide hot contents 5 hours later. Best if using boiling water for preheat. Use hot tap water if expecting only 2 hour time period for storage.
I bought this product because I like to have a hot lunch and my old food jar wasn't keeping my food hot enough. I've use this jar for soup. I was very impressed it kept the soup hot. I packed it at 8:20 a.m. and opened it to eat at 11:30 a.m. I followed the directions...poured boiling water in it, let it stand for 5" before putting hot soup into it. It was so hot I had to blow on it before I can eat it. Steam rose from it when I got to the bottom. Yes as another reviewer stated...the soup was hotter at the bottom of the jar. I ate the soup directly from the jar. I was too lazy to pour it out into the top. I'm going to by another for my coffee.

I ordered this product with the Hoover Steam Cleaner. I am very pleased with how well they work together. I have lived in my apartment for four years and never cleaned the carpet. I used this product with the steam cleaner and the carpet looks like it did the day I moved in.
I purchased this detergent to go along with my Hoover Steamvac All Terrain. The detergent has a pleasant smell, and the carpet was spotless once I was done steamcleaning. I followed the manufacturer's instructions and also pretreated spots with Hoover's spray spot and stain remover.

My only complaint about this detergent is that it is so pricey, not just through Amazon (which is usually the cheapest), but in general. I am going to be using a LOT of this stuff. Thanks to a tip that someone else wrote in their review, I'll be watching for the "buy 2, get one free" promotion from Amazon in the future.

This machine is very difficult to use. It is heavy with large stiff wheels. If you loosen a wheel as per other reviews, it will then fall off continuously. The screw is not a slotted or Phillips, but some sort of weird hexagonal which is hard to adjust unless you have special tools. The machine is a bear to work with. The suction is great, as everyone mentions, but you can't get it where you want without much labor. I went back to my old Dirt Devil after 2 weeks of wrestling with this pig. It may be fine for large homes and deep cleaning, but horrible in apartments.The low price of $88 will make it less painful to throw out with the garbage, where it belongs.
I read all of the reviews prior to the purchase of the Intensity, some were negative. The cord is shorter than some cleaners but I don't consider it a negative. My house is 1800 sq ft and I have vaccuumed it at least five times without having to change the bag. I was concerned that it was not picking up like my Fantom canaster bagless cleaner(which I love) but after I vaccuumed with the the Electrolux, I then went over the same areas with my Fantom and there wasn't anything left to pick up. It is extremely well made, a little difficult to maneuver on carpet but I love it, infact, I bought another one just to have as a spare.
I save a lot buying these bags on Amazon. They provide good filtration and have heavy duty.
What can I say? If you own the Electrolux Intensity vacuum cleaner, obviously this is what you absolutely need for your wonderful machine. This is a genuine Electrolux bag at a fair price. Order through Amazon and eliminate the hassle of looking for a store that carries this product. You paid for your Electrolux, simply keep it running at peak performance with a "real-deal" replacement bag.
A reasonable price for the brand-name item so it fits my vacuum and my budget just right. Free shipping helped too!

These work. Instantly soothed my three month old with colic and reflux. They are also great for those first couple months in the car. Annoying to driver and passengers but quiets and relaxes baby.
Great product - Our boys love the hairdryer&the extra white noise has done wonders since we have two in one room!
I've tried treating my daughter's colic with lots of different remedies, but nothing seemed to help. The pediatrician told me to try blowing my hair dryer or running the vacuum cleaner near the baby. When I told him that those sounds hurt my ears, he explained that life in the womb is noisy, due to my body's heartbeat, hunger pangs, blood flow, and so on. So most babies, including my daughter, are used to what we think is loud sound.

So rather than burn up my blow dryer motor, I ordered these CDs with the machine sounds. All I can say is that the minute my squalling daughter heard the Blow Dryer sound, she immediately stopped crying. I couldn't believe it! The Vacuum Cleaner sound also works well, and I don't have to burn out the motor trying to get my daughter to calm down and fall asleep. The other thing I like about these CDs is that I can adjust the volume; you can't do that with an appliance.

This CD is absolutely wonderful. It would be a great addition to anyones personal collection. When I think about a children's choir, this sound is definitly not what comes to mind. The Spivey Hall Children's Choir is by far the best choir I've ever heard, children or not. They can be heard live at Spivey Hall in May and December every year. The Spivey Hall website would give you exact dates.

We have had these space bags for a year. The zipper is cheap and does not seal well, the plastic on the vacuum nozzle comes off readily, and the plastic gets brittle and tears easily. Take it from a year of experience; this brand of vacuum bags has been nothing but bad news.
I bought a 2 pack of the medium space bags. I opened the package and noticed that the bags were pretty tiny. I'd say the smallest useful size bag would probably be a large, because honestly, I think 1 small womens size fleece hoodie would have maxed out my medium bag. Anyway, upon stuffing the bags (and I use the word stuffing very loosely), one of my 2 bags ripped. So that's 1 down and 1 to go. I had to suck the air out of the remaining bag twice before it stayed out, and I promptly shoved the "thin" -- but extremely lumpy -- bag into my closet, closed the door, and haven't spoke of it since. I think space bag needs to do a makeover and use some thinner plastic -- at least the thickness of a freezer bag rather than a sandwich baggie.
I bought some and thought they worked so I bought more but when I checked under bed the were deflated. One out of 8 worked. I had already thrown packages out so I now learned a lesson. Save package until you see that it lasts for a week or longer.
I always read reviews before purchasing a product, but I came away from the ITW reviews believing Amazon carried a different product than that I had used before. I have purchased Space bags direct from the manufacturer previously and loved them. While managing a small motel with 32 rooms, we purchased 25 Jumbo Space Bags to store 65 queen-sized quilted bedspreads. We used the bags first to store our winter bedspreads, then our summer ones. 24 of 25 bags stayed air-free for the six month period before we swapped bedspreads. They were then used for the next season. Again, 24 bags remained compressed for another six months.
Having read the somewhat unfavorable reviews, I thought that perhaps Amazon carried another brand than the one I had used. However, I could order exactly the size of bag I wanted from Amazon, with free shipping and a known time for delivery -- none of which is possible from www.spacebags.com. So, I bought my bags from Amazon and was delighted to find that I had bought the product that had worked so well for me in the past.
I recommend ITW Space Bags without reservation. One failure of 25 bags used twice (they are still in service so maybe they will make four or five cycles) represents a 4% failure rate. None of my current order failed to compress and stay compressed for 48 hours. (If they are going to fail, air leakage seems to happen in the first 24 hours.) Read the instructions and love the space this product creates!

I'm in the same boat as many other posters: My bags re-flated. It was kind of funny actually. I'm a bit of a comforter-junkie - have lots of king-sized ones. So, I put them all in space bags and lo' and behold my linen closet looked just like the ones pictured in the Space Bag ads! Until the next week, that is. The sight when I opened that door was unbelievable!!! I had such a hard time getting those things out of the 24-inch doorway, I couldn't help but laugh. Needless to say, the bags ended up torn and ruined. Maybe the small bags work better, but I would definitely recommend that you avoid the large ones!!
I purchased the "space saver" bags and it was a waste of my money. None of the bags held the vacuum seal, they all leaked despite ensuring that the seal was closed, and I followed all of the directions. I use them, but I don't bother to use the vacuum on them, I just store the clothes in them as is. I wouldn't buy these over priced plastic bags ever again.

Summary: Yes, they work if you carefully pack your items hence the above average rating. They're not 5-star (excellent) because I don't expect these bags to last forever. I paid $17 for a 5-pack and so far they've held up.

I haven't ripped any bags and so far I've bought two sets of 5-pack varieties (10 bags altogether). I've had one set for 2 years and none of them ripped or leaked air. I've reused the same bags. Just don't over stuff and be careful of the seams. Fold or roll your items before putting it into the bag and make sure it's organized before you seal and vacuum. You can put a fabric softener sheet in there if you don't want your stuff smelling like plastic when you reopen the bag later.

In an extra large bag, I can CAREFULLY fit 4 fluffy pillows. I only use these bags for fluffy items (puffy sweaters, down jackets, pillows, fuzzy blankets). I also managed to fit an entire comforter set in an extra large bag (comforter, 2 pillowcases, 2 shams, and one of those extra little bolster pillows).

I find these bags are pointless for denser/heavier fabrics (i.e. denim jeans, denim jackets, linens). You're better off using them for stuff that takes up more space than it should. Oh, you can shove all those stuffed animals into a bag and seal them too (make sure the noses are pointed inwards to avoid rubbing or ripping the plastic).

Space bags SUCK! We'll not really, I mean once you suck the air out with a vacuum, they will leak and not stay air tight. They are also cheaply constructed as they tend to tear near the zipper (cheap seal too!) and around the vacuum attachment. Don't waste your money on this!

I bought five of these bags...two jumbo, three large and ALL five of them lost their vacuum seal within three days. I will never buy these again.
I bough several of these bags to use for bedding and stuffed animals during a move. My kids and I had seen the commercials and were excited to try them out when packing for our move. Out of the ten bags we bought (sizes Extra Large and Giant), only one bag remained vacuumed. None of the rest of them would stay sealed. I actually had better results by using my vacuum to suck the air out of a plastic garbage bag then tying the top. Those bags remained sealed and cost a fraction of what these bags cost.
I was thrilled about trying these out. I opened it up, carefully loaded it with linens, and tried very carefully to follow directions. But I couldn't get the air sucked out. Then I noticed: gigantic rip in the bottom. When and how that happened, I have no idea. Cheap materials. I do not recommend!!
The plastic that these bags are made of is way too thin to be practical. The bags rip very easily, even when used exactly as the manufacturer specifies. For the money you pay for what is essentially a plastic seal-lock bag with a valve, you'd think you would get a bag that utilized a thicker sheet of plastic. Also, the bags do not keep their seal. The valve itself can keep the air in after the air is vacuumed out, but not over an extended period of time. Perhaps the manufacturer could make the screw-on cap, more reliable. Perhaps the seams of the plastic bag are not sufficient. Perhaps the bags could be made more durably, I'm not sure, but this product is really poorly made.

Bottom line is that this product does not do what it advertises, it is built in a very shoddy fashion, it breaks easily, it doesn't keep the vacuum seal (and the space saving advantages are lost). Do NOT buy this product.
I packed the bag with a lot of clothes and made sure to leave room for the zipper. The zipper sealed fine and the bag shrunk without a problem.

Overall a decent generic filter for a shop vac. It was a bit longer than the original one I had for the Ridgid shop vac, but its better made than some other cheap filters I got over the years.
Great price, great filter...It fit perfectly in my Rigid shop VAC, I highly recommend it.
This fits "OLDER" model Ridgid Vac's ( circa 1999). I had a hard time finding one locally so I checked Amazon and happened across this filter. Perfect fit.

I have noticed most folks that give negative reviews really don't do the proper research to actually understand what they are buying and end up blaming the site or seller for their own ignorance.
I have a 16 Gallon Rigid shop vac, Model WD16300. I recently tried to purchase a new filter, but discovered that the new filters are 1" taller than my original, and do not fit. If I had known they would obsolete my unit by lengthening the filter, I'd've saved the extra money and just bought a flaccid instead.

This is a great tool. It can be switched between vacuum and pressure. It is pro quality all metal. The plastic models that sell at auto parts stores don't support pressure, just vacuum. Comes with several attachments and brake bleeding kit. Word of warning: I got mine fron Automotive Specialty Tools. When their order confirmation came, it was for an older model 4000, not the 8500 I ordered. The tool is the same, but with fewer accessories. Luckily, I called before it was shipped and they corrected the order. The thing is, the person on the phone didn't even question me. She said, "Oh my tool guy said they were the same thing, sorry." It felt a lot like either a bait and switch, or dumping old stock. Just make sure what you get is what you ordered.
I usually have to wait for someone to be around to help whenever I perform a brake job on one of my kids cars. But this little tool works like a charm and makes my life a bit easier. Well worth the money spent. Seems very well made. I take very good care of my tools, so this will last many, many years with no trouble or problems.
This is a quality tool. It is constructed in die cast metal. It should be much more robust than plastic. The availability of re-build kits is a great feature. The only gripe is with the instruction manual. If clear large sized illustrations were paired with concise written instructions, it would be a major improvement over the current format. Currently the manual is printed in a hard to read fine print font. The information is vague and incomplete.
Used the tool to diagnose vacuum leaks on an evap system. Worked great. Easy one hand operation with plenty of fittings for all hose sizes. Good deal for the price!
The Mityvac 4000 Silverline Vacuum Pump Kit is a great collection of a solid vacuum pump and a host of fittings for testing and applying vacuum on many things.
I gave this product four stars only because I think the instruction manual could have been a lot meatier.
I'm NOT a professional automotive tech, so the mysteries on the motor (especially vacuum parts) really nned some explanations beyond the dire basics.
I guess I'll learn in time. But the product is already saving me money. :)

Some of the add-on parts used are no longer available (wireless routers) or replaced by newer versions (BlueSmirf). Fundamental approach still applies but will take some reader knowledge to apply with current products. Interesting hack book nonetheless.
Great book, I would suggest getting more than one roomba so you can mod one and still vac the floors. Top fun, all good info in one book, Yes you can get most of the info online but I think its better to have the directions at hand when halfway through a mod instead of rushing to look it up again link after link
I've only gotten into chapter 3, with a few peeks in the back, but so far this book has lived up to my expectations and more. It has all sorts of basic information for people who haven't had much experience with tinkering with electronics. There's also plenty of reassuring and cautionary information for those concerned that their attempts to play with or improve their Roomba will break it instead. I'm looking forward to trying the experiments -- the book will be worth reading even if I never get around to them, though.
I received a "Rootooth" adapter as a Christmas present so I bought this book to expand on hacking Roomba. It is very detailed and easy to follow. The book assumes that you have some basic programming knowledge (i.e. MS VB, MS C#, MS C++, Java)to get the most out of it. You need to know how to compile and execute Java code to do the experiments in this book. It has some cool experiments and a lot of references to downloads for any utlities you will need to hack Roomba. I would highly recommend "Hacking Roomba" as a must have.
As a SW programmer interested in SW Robotics Control, this book goes over a lot of those things you would want to do with the Roomba. The iRobot Roomba is a great platform for this and the book highlights these features nicely. Well worth the purchase.

This is an essential reference book for all guitar amp enthusiasts. The book is user friendly and packed with a ton of useful information. Although, I already have the first three guitar amp books written by Gerald Weber, I found this book to perfectly compliment the other three volumes. Each book contains unique and easy to understand information that just can't be found anywhere else. I have amplifier books written by other authors, but I continue to almost exclusively rely on Gerald Weber's amp books. I highly recommend this this book.

I collect dog books ... all kinds of dog books. Also, I have a good education - BA in English&MS in Psychology, so I don't consider myself stupid, just average. This book was terrible. Poorly written. Did not grab me&make me want to know this dog. Bain was trying to be funny, but failed miserably. There are really much better dog books out there that will move the reader to laughter, to tears, to musing,&then when you're done, want to make you just hug your dog for forever. Bain doesn't even come close. Anyone want to buy a book --- cheap?
