When I noticed this, I contacted customer service. They checked with USPS. And after one day I got the package. This is a pretty simple product, not much could go wrong with it. I got it and yes installing new filters do make your roomba work better. I also recommend some of the replacement brushes if you feel your roomba isn't like it used to be. Once I saw the specs on this&it's price tag (got it for about $130 shipped), I had my heart set. Well, it was a hard one to pin down! I ordered 5 times from different co's before I finally found a company that actually had it- right here on Amazon from Beach Audio Inc (thank goodness they actually had it because my house was gettin' dirty!) So now I've had it for about 3 wks&love it. OK, there is some bad with the good, but for the price- I'm not complaining&that's some trick. I have a 4 yr old, 2 black cats&a red 40lb dog (oh, and a husband in construction). I also have cream and/or white low pile carpets&hardwood floors in the main areas of the 2200SF house. The dog is restricted to hard wood, but the cats have free roam (of course). With that said, this vacuum has enough suction power for me. It's 11 amps compares well with my 12 amp Hoover upright, though I do have to remove the air driven turbo nozzle to get the heavy stuff w/ the wand. Not too bad because it's just a pop&click out&then back in as I go around the house. The crevice&dust tools are conveniently on board so that's a plus, though the wand itself does the trick for me mostly. Overall, I would say that even though the turbo nozzle doesn't 'suck' (ie the brush is only powered by the air suction)it was worth the trade off to have it so light because my old hoover broke my back&this does not at all. I love that the wand is an easy telescopic click as well. I love that it's bagged. My hoover was not&I was getting sick of the mess having to dump it out&get all that dirt&dog grime back in the air&still have it blow 'dog smell' about my house while I was cleaning. Now the crud is cleanly tucked away in a bag I can toss&replace (I found it easy to buy a box of replacement bags off of panasonic's website). I love that the canister has 2 handles. I lay it down on the floor&stand it up while I go up the stairs. Easy grab either way. It's light weight for my bad neck arthritis overall. OH, and to my surprise- it is equipped with a parking mechanism that wasn't mentioned in the sales pitch. One of my favorite features! Makes it even compare closer to the Miele I was wanting and couldn't drop $600 on. I even like the handle grip as I do not prefer the 'ergonomic' type for whatever reason. They seem awkward to me. This is simple design&feels comfy on my wrist without the extra plastic. So, my only real complaint would be a shorter cord than I had- but if it were longer... the vacuum would be heavier. Give&take. I can manage 1 room at a time&then just move the plug. I do love that you push a button&the cord sucks back up-- no winding mess. :) Overall a very happy camper. I even love the color... This vacuum is well built and does the job well. I like the feature of switching between wood floors and carpet. It is somewhat loud, but otherwise works well. I bought this vacuum about three months ago after searching online for other brand. I had canister vacuum for many years but it was broken. I like a similar vacuum because it is easier on the stais and good on hardwood floor. Panasonic has a good reputation on quality and design, so I bought without hesitation. So far the vacuum works well and light in weight. The only problem is that eighter the cord is not retracted back into the storage, or it does not stay out. I had to use a binder clip to stop the cord going back in. Also, it is very hard to find the replacement vacuum bag. Had to go to panasonic.com to order them. The delivery was much faster than anticipated. The product came right to my door in perfect condition. As loud as a full on heavy duty vacuum. Considering it does not pick up much on the carpet or the floor, I can't imagine why it has to make so much noise. I returned it after one use. The filter was completely clogged with dust after the one use and will need to be cleaned after each use. Don't waste your money on this one. If you are looking for a lightweight vacuum for the floor and short carpets consider the Swivel Sweeper touchless. It works great picking up dust, sand, dirt, food off our hardwood floors and does a light cleaning on our wool rug. It is not perfect, but it works just as well as sweeping yourself. I've had two units. The great part about this unit is the smaller dust buster for little jobs. The other review is that two of the four tiny wheels have come off because the pins came loose. I almost fixed the problem with a nail cut to same size and a flat faucet washer. Now the unit is not even but still performs. After five years of service I'm not complaining, but it just will not die so I can buy a third. B&D has the only vac in a vac. Mr. Mom I ordered this after using something similar at a friend's house. It's handy to have a dust buster around again, but the upright vacuum feature is GREAT for my children to vacuum the area rugs in their bedrooms. Also, they get excited to vacuum the carpet stairs now! Totally worth my money just to have my kids able to assist more with housework. I love this vacuum but it is definitely made for light duty and requires emptying very often. (Good filtration, but) (Porter-Cable Dry Filter Bags) There isn't that much exciting stuff to say about vacuum bags, but these are well engineered and even have a nice little flap that seals the hole so dust doesn't escape after you take the bag out of the vacuum. I highly recommend using bags with this vacuum as it allows you to suck up a lot more dust between emptying, and saves wear and tear on the HEPA filter. These seem to last a long time and hold a lot of sawdust or drywall dust. Price is right and they arrive in time but they seem to be ripping or coming apart at the seam very quickly. Bag will only be 1/4 filled and we have to change it. Dust has not always been my enemy, but I got tired of it and decided to do something about it. I really dislike sanding dust, especially from dry-wall mud. I tried various shop vacs, wearing them out while wondering if the noise was better than the dust. Porter Cable to the rescue. I bought their first shop vacuum when it came out perhaps 15 years ago. It is still going strong, although I can no longer buy parts (or bags) for it. That old model had a few design faults, as the plastic attachment holders would last for only a day or so, but mine is still running strong, and the filter is still working. However, I needed to get a new model so I could buy bags. The old model works pretty well without bags for wood sanding dust and cleaning the shop, but dry-wall dust needs bags. Porter-Cable 7812 10 Gallon 1-1/2 Horsepower Tool-Start Wet/Dry Vacuum So Amazon to the rescue, as they had a great price on the new models of the Porter Cable vacuums. And now I get to use bags again. I buy them six at a time, and use them for all the dry dust I am picking up, not just dry-wall mud. The nasty stuff is easy to dispose of without making a mess. And I can convert from dry to wet and back to dry quickly when needed. The filter stays clean far longer, and since I am not handling the filter as much, it lasts longer. So get a Porter Cable shop vacuum and buy the bags. The vacuum is quieter than most, there are two sizes, it turns on with your sander, there are great Porter Cable sanders that work with it, the end of the hose can be quickly changed to fit the tool dust port, and the attachment holders now work and don't easily break. Oh, and it does what vacuums should: pick up dust and keep it in the vacuum, not spew it back out into the air. It shows when the bag or container is full. It must be pretty hard to crush the hose, as I have not been able to do it. The Fein vacuums are a little quieter, but there are other trade-offs. It is still a great vacuum company. Bags provide good filtration, but when in use the main seams often open leaving dirt and debris in the vacuum. So far every bag in use has done this. From now on I will reinforce the seam with staples and/or duct tape. The Porter-Cable power tool, triggered vacuum is a work of art. An industrial device that is well built (made in Italy), ultra-quiet and works better than any home vac. The filter bags are an exceptional deal here. I bought this unit for my garage, but it has found more use inside the home. They have a fine particle filtering capacity and will fill up rather quickly under heavy useage. They are good quality bags, but a little hard to put on. The cardboard collar area is a little weak and you have to cut a hole in bag at hole to get it started. Overall, even with the difficulty getting them on, I will continue to order product. I highly recommend the Hoover Bag "Y". It is easy to put on and take off, and it does not fall apart when full. First the complaint - these bags are awfully pricey considering that they fill up so fast. The bag is too big for the compartment, so you have to fold it over at the top and bottom to get it to fit into the allotted space. Despite having owned this model vacuum for seven years, I still need three hands to get the corners of the over-sized bag tucked into place before slamming the compartment shut. Changing the bag is a dirty bit of business, because when you pull the old bag off, all that super-fine dust at the top goes *POOF* and escapes from the bag's opening . We've taken to putting the vacuum on the back porch before opening up the bag compartment to keep dust out of our home. I see a name brand competitor has come up with a solution to this by putting a little trap door thingie by the bag's opening, so when you pull the bag off the vacuum, all the dust doesn't fly out of the bag and go *POOF*. Okay - the positive - these Hoover paper bags do a decent job of trapping fine dust particles, but I do wish they'd figure out how to make bag removal and installation easier. Or just make the bag a different shape so you're not contorting it to get it into the allotted space. More recently, I've started using Filtrete (3M) bags. Made of cloth, they're lined with an electrostatically charged media which captures dust and dirt down to .3 microns.
