(Cheaper and *BETTER* than the original) 『I am not particularly find of vacuuming, but we have a large lab-shepherd whose principle talent (if you can call it that) is shedding. So, it is something I have to do a lot.
This week I noticed a tile missing from our OLD (solid) wood parquet floor. I was pretty unhappy with said mutt, sure he had done it, and had more or less resigned myself to spending hundreds, if not thousands, having the floor refinished (not knowing if it was even possible to replace). My husband suggested that maybe I had vacuumed it up. I did not think that was possible, and did not look forward to going through the vaccum bag :( BUT, these bags really saved the day. I opened up the vacuum, and there it was, visible in the window! (and consequently, easy to retrieve).
I immediately came back here to order more, not knowing if they would be available (since they are one flavor of generic). Well, they are, and I am ordering enough to last me a while, and hoping that these bags continue to be available!
Not everyone will find themselves in that situation, but the window is intended to let you know if the bag is full. They also cost quite a bit less than the OEMs, fit and work just as well in other respects. All that said, I likely would have ordered more anyway, but for me, these really saved the day.』

This is one of the loudest albums I've ever heard! Full of nonstop energy and catchy songs. The first two songs-Roller Coaster and Nightmare-are pure hard unrelenting rock! The next two (my favorites)-I'm just a beat girl and Gimme Culture-are fast catchy punk songs that are impossible not to sing along with! Now before you say to yourself, "Yeah Panda your the man and anything you say is obviously fact. I'm going to buy this album right now!" let me warn you this album is not for everyone. There is heavy distortion on this album, much like a Guitar Wolf cd, that is usually love/hate for most people. I love it, I think it works great on this album. (Super Fantastic Ash Vac.) 『I use the Ash vac for my pellete stove. It works extreamly well and I don't have to clean the filter very often. It also looks great in my Den.』
(Great warm (hot) ash vacuum) 『Yes, this is a very noisy vacuum. However, it is a very good vacuum for being able to remove ashes with hot coals still present. With cold ash vacuums you have to wait until the fire is completely out or you'll be sorry. Since I got this vacuum, I'm able to keep the fire going 24 hours a day. In the morning, I just get the ashes from around the still burning coals, throw some more wood on top of the remaining coals and within minutes, I have a blazing fire again.
The occasional coal that you vacuum won't harm the vacuum, except, if it is almost full and a coal rests against the filter, it will burn a hole in it. You just need to remember to empty it before it gets that full.
And since I only use it for about 45 seconds once or twice a day, I can live with the noise from it.』

I purchased it (but not the stove) from a local stove place in Central Massachusetts and once I realized I had been sold the noisier version, I called the place back. They assured me that once the Cougars came in that I could swap the top of the unit while retaining my canister and filter. Well, after several months of follow up calls this place says they have never received any Cougars and even wondered if they were still made! I wish I had checked this site first! I never should have purchased the Cheetah and I think this stove place is the real cheata. I Would suggest purchasing the Cougar since it is about the same price.』

This little guy works on quite a range of makes and models, and honestly isn't difficult to install. The directions are detailed, diagrammed and straight forward. With the right tools installation was under 30 minutes. The vendor's product information was detailed enough to ensure that I had the right item. Just make sure you have something to prop up the drum if you have to remove the front panel of your dryer. You might want a vacuum on hand, because the insides will likely be full of lint and dust. Cleaning out vents should make the dryer more efficient too. To think, many people were suggesting I get a new dryer rather than replace this simple part.』

I say this because, with only an 8:1 mulch ratio, the 51574 doesn't really shred (vacuumed) leaves very much, nor does it mulch the leaves into a consistent size (i.e. some are barely touched and some are shredded quite a bit), so, if you want to use the mulch for composting, etc, you either can't be too fussy about this inconsistency or be patient enuf to mulch it again. Also, because this product comes with a plastic - rather than a metal - impeller, it isn't able to shred twigs more than a 1/16" - in fact, if you accidentally vacuum a lot of them, they'll clog the impeller. And, even if you were to replace the plastic impeller with a metal one, there would still be the problem of the 51574's relatively poor suction.
Basically, this machine is a good blower (at 200 MPH, it's ability to move leaves, twigs, loose dirt, and even small pebbles is more than adequete) and does an adequete job of vacuuming leaves IF you've already blown/raked them into loose piles and separated them from twigs and litter. Of course, it also comes in handy long before the leaves start falling: I use it to blow/vacuum the grass that's found it's way onto the driveway and my back patio after I've cut the lawn. And, as a Toro product, chances are that it'll be reliable and durable.
Oh, and a couple of pieces of advice: don't try to vac wet leaves (they'll clog up the impeller) and don't use the vac to suck leaves that are on top of sandy, dry soil (lest you want to look like Pigpen).』

It's all plastic but very well built and sturdy. The bag and sucker attachment is a bit unwieldy but it does get the job done. Toro built in safety sensors so the unit will not work unless properly assembled.

I received the AOS 2055 Air Washer which is a 2-in-1 Humidifier&Purifier. After only a couple hours of use, we could notice a significant difference in the quality of the air.
This is a very easy to use product that really, truly works. The air that is taken in is cleaned and filtered using water. The disks inside never need to be replaced. The Ionic Silver Stick prevents microbial growth in the water base. There are no chemical additives, which is a huge plus. The night time mode is so quiet that you can barely hear it. Every now and then when the machine is running we would hear a big gulp. I just don't want someone to buy one and then freak out. It doesn't happen very often and it didn't disturb me through the night.
It is possible to add a fragrance or essential oil if that is something you would like to do. This product is very easy to clean and easy to use. I can't imagine living without it!』
(Works well but tricky to refill) 『We have an earlier model Air-o-Swiss. We have been happy with its performance but it had the drawback that it was not possible to clean around the fan. We contacted the company and the new model has been redesigned so that the housing around the fan comes off for easy cleaning.
However, in streamlining the look the water tank was also re-designed. Because of its rounded shape it is difficult to fill since it does not lie flat on a counter. The positioning of the filler is odd, too, since it doesn't let you fill the tank all the way up. We have also noticed that it is tricky to put the tank back on.
Both units operate very quietly but both also tend to make pretty loud "glugging" noises now and then as the water flows out of the tank and air flows in (like a water cooler when you fill a cup). The new model seems louder in this regard than the older and since we use it in the bedroom there are times when the noise is loud enough to wake us. It sometimes sounds like someone knocking on the door - quite disturbing in the middle of the night when one is only partly awake!
Overall, though, this is a good machine and works well to clean and humidify the air.』
(Not so much) 『I purchased this humidifier online from the Air-o-Swiss website. It arrived clearly misassembled and damaged. I can't believe they didn't look in the box before shipping it to me (the IRS could straighten these guys out, too). After figuring out what was wrong, I sent emails with photos and explanations, had many discussions, and was told they would get back to me. They never did and are now after 30 days refusing to let me return the unit. After repairing it myself, it doesn't produce enough humidity to get a forced-air heated room up to 30% RH (45% is recommended). It does evaporate the whole reservoir overnight, so I think the problem is simply that it only holds one gallon. Need a larger reservoir, but the problem there is you have to fill it. (Great performance) 『I deperately needed a nightime humidifier to help me breathe while I slept. After reading the buyer comments on Amazon, I settled on the Air-O-Swiss 2055. It is by far,the best humidifier I have ever used. The ionizing really works, and my breathing is free and deep, in a 20X17'room. My only concern is the maintenance. I'm definitely not a Harry Homeowner, and the instructions for keeping it functional give me visions of a bothersome hassle. I hope I'm wrong because it's an invaluable aid to a full night's sleep. (Holding my judgement on this...) 『I received this from Bed Bath&Beyond tonight and I just got it up and running. They did not have this model on display at Bed Bath&Beyond, so I did not quite have a chance to see this on display before buying. And I traded in an Air O Swiss 7135 humidifier for this, and I am not sure if that was a wise decision.
I am giving this unit 3 stars for now... But if I do not like the performance after trying this for a week, I will return this unit without any hesitation.
Why did I buy this unit? Several reasons.
1 - My experience with the Air O Swiss 7135 humidifer overall was not-so-bad. I owned a Venta humidifier and that turned out to be a disaster.
2 - The 10 year warranty. I reckoned anything with a 10 year warranty must be well-built and durable. At first glance, this unit does not see too durable. Not sure if this unit will last 10 years as touted.
3 - The air cleaning function. My wife is having a baby very soon, so I figured something to clean the air would be useful.
4 - This unit does not require much spending in terms of replace parts and the such. There is no filter to replace. You only need to replace the silver ionizer stick once a year.
My gripes.
1. The unit is BULKY. It's almost bulbous in shape. And it's not too light either. I think the UPS mailing invoice said the package weighed over 20 lbs.
2. This unit operates using a fan. That means some users may find this unit noisy, especially when running on high. (Two settings available.)
3. The water container is too small compared to the overall size of the unit and it is very cumberson to use and fill up. First, the cap is located on the side of the container. WHY? It is awkward to hold the container as you fill it on its side. Second, the container is IMPOSSIBLE to fill up fully. I spilled water trying to fill this up and I was only successful in getting it filled maybe 80% or so. The container is shaped in an awkward way making it impossible to fill up fully. Third, as you try to put back the container into the unit upright, there is water leakage. The spring equipped water spout which feeds the unit water could use better washers for sealing. I am disappointed that a unit that costs as much as this has such shoddy craftsmanship/design.
4. The humidification discs seem difficult to clean and not too durable. They will crack if I drop them. That is a given. They have slits, grooves, and crevices built into them. I am not looking forward to the prospect of using a brush to get all the debris out.
