A friend of mine had splurged and bought herself this coffee pot. She was showing it off to me and I thought it was pretty neat. But I was dubious about the upkeep cost (the k-cups). It is technically cheaper to get a normal coffee pot and brew from regular grounds. However, a lot of us (including myself) throw half the pot down the drain because we just don't drink that much. The solution to this, if you don't want to buy the cups, is to buy the Keurig My K-Cup Reusable Coffee Filter in which you can put your preferred ground beans.

By the way... kudos to the reviewer that broke down the costs for regular coffee, k-cups, and going to a coffee shop. That review is probably what tipped me over the edge of my decision making.

A couple of weeks later I was telling my husband about this coffee pot and he was impressed! Our problem has been that he wakes up so much earlier than I do (4 a.m. vs. 8 a.m.) and it is not worth it for him to brew just a cup for himself in the morning or brew an entire pot that sits there for 4 hours burning. This single cup serving is the perfect solution for him while I can continue to brew a pot for myself when I wake in the morning.

After reading the reviews of all the coffee pots and different coffees, this is what I ended up choosing as a Father's Day gift for him. I chose this one over the other Keurig models because of the 9.5 oz button that the others lack. The day it got here, he promptly brewed four different cups of coffee. I can tell I've made a great choice. We use it every day.

There are only two negatives about this product that I've found. First, unlike many appliances that are power savers in one way or another, this product is constantly on. It keeps (I'm guessing) 10 ounces of water in a warming reservoir so that when you push that brew button, it is ready to go. If you want to save on your power bill, make sure you use the on/off button or the auto on/off feature. The downside of that is that it takes 5 mins or so for the water to warm up once you turn it back on. The second negative is not one I've experienced but one I was warned about. At the bottom of the refillable reservoir is a rubber gasket that may eventually fail the more times you remove the reservoir. I've avoided this by using my retracting kitchen sink nozzle to refill it instead of removing the entire thing.
Have tried five different coffee blends in the Keurig system and find the coffee that's delivered to be hot, fresh and delicious. The convenience and lack of waste are big selling factors for me. I use my regular brewer in the morning and the Keurig for later in the day when one cup is just what I need.
If you're interested in a quick and easy cup of hot brown liquid, look no further. If you truly enjoy a good cup of coffee...keep looking. I tried all the different blends and they were all horrible.

Convenience, indeed, does have its price and I'm not prepared to sacrifice flavor for convenience. This one went back to Amazon.
This coffee maker is outstanding! Using an extra bold K-cup you can open/close the Keurig and brew a small cup using the same K-Cup if you need to water down the coffee and it also fills up any extra large mug you may have. Keurig also has an offer were you can purchase two boxes of K-cups and get 2 free (plus free shipping!). While I still use my regular coffee maker during the week I use the Keurig for an extra kick in the evening or on special occasions.
Overall I'm pleased with this machine. It has a number of features that have a practical use and not just gee whiz junk that you set once and never change. Its EASY to setup and operate and works well. Its very convienient to make 1 cup of coffee with no muss or fuss but don't throw out the 12 cup coffeemaker for when company's over. I also like being able to have a cup of hot water instantly for tea etc. The K-cups are somewhat expensive but if you don't mind paying a few cents more for speed, convienience, and a good, consistant cup of coffee then this machine is for you. Enjoy.....

I clean houses for a living and one day my Shark vac died and I had to buy another vac right away to replace it. First I bought a Dirt Devil vac and it was so loud it was deafening and I had to return it. I saw favorable reviews on Amazon for this vac so I thought I would give it a try. It really is a nice vac. I use it a lot to vac hardwood floors of the houses I clean and it does a great job. I didn't think I would use the rotating brush option much because I didn't think it would do as good of a job as a big upright, but looking at the stuff that collects in the cup, I have to believe it does a pretty darn good job. I especially like using the brush option in small areas like beside toliets and in rooms that just have a lot of stuff in them and it is hard to manuver a big upright vac. Overall, this is just a great vac and a great price.
I was looking for something that would work well on stairs and small areas. I found this product to be as good as the reviews I had read. It picks up things that our regular Oreck vacuum misses. It is also extremely easy to clean out. I would highly recommend this product.
I'm on my 2nd Flair and absolutely love it!!! I will use no other stick vacuum.

It has great suction, picks up every thing, does not scratch my floor and even works pretty decently on my area rugs. I love that you can clean the canister and filter. And the cord is perfect, I can do each room w/out having to replug.

It does get warm after a long use, but what wouldn't. I used my last one so much I killed it. It wasn't a malfunction, just basic wear and tear. I see some users expect it to last a life time. Every electronic will eventually stop working and for $50 you can't go wrong!
The Hoover Flair is great! I needed a good vac to use on my slate tile floors (about 1,000 sq ft). I was using a $60 Kenmore model 26082 yellow canister vac, but it has always had poor suction and the wheels didn't roll smoothly (they rub against the wheel wells due to a flawed design). I have a top-of-the-line Kenmore upright that does an outstanding job on my carpets, but it doesn't do that well on the floors.

I was concerned at first about the nozzle not being as wide as my old vac, but it is twice as efficient and I can get into more spaces. The suction is strong over the full width of the nozzle. This is the first vac I've ever owned that actually sucked up dirt and cat litter on the sides of the nozzle against the baseboards. Most vacs say they are designed to do it, but you usually have to use the hose manually to pick up the dirt next to the baseboards. The amount of dirt and pet hair in the dirt cup from a weekly vacuuming with the Hoover Flair is more than twice what the Kenmore canister would pick up.

I love how lightweight the vac is and how the head swivels effortlessly to maneuver in tight and awkward spaces. Much easier than dragging around my old canister vac. It's also much quieter--it doesn't have that high-pitched whine that some vacs have.

The only thing I would change would be to add 5 to 10 feet of cord length. Other than that, it is an excellent design and a great value for the price!
I've owned this for 6 months. I had difficulty attaching the body to the head as it never seemed like it clicked into place and I couldn't push it in any more. A few weeks ago the head fell off and when I was pushing it back on, the neck piece broke. Now it can't be used at all.

Was sick of raking up the leaves twice every year from the live oaks in my front yard. Not only that, the trees shed leaves even in summer and in rain.

I was looking for a leaf blower near $50. But, found this to be a good one due to the metallic impeller. The blower works OK for the most part. I only wish that when I pick up the leaves (from grass) it would pick up all of it.

The bag is quite good.

I wish I had purchased one without wires and with battery.
Well i tried this unit at a neighbors house and all i can say is that it is pathetic. I am shocked that so many people would view it as powerful?? We have many oaks and maples around the neighborhood and of course this makes for a large cleanup. This unit would make the job take so long that i would consider just using a rake. When clearing out shrubs there is often considerable debris that the shrub covered up. This unit would not move the moist dirt and branches so it forced you to brake out the rake again. The unit can draw as much as 12 amps and at 150' that would require a 12 or perhaps a 10 gauge extension cord. These are heavy, awkward, time consuming and expensive. My opinion is nothing beats a high powered gas backpack. I now have two an Echo PB-413 which is available at home depot and does a good job of clearing the driveway and pushing leaves, however it is slow clearing shrub debris and has difficulty with frozen leaves. I then bought a Shindaiwa EB802RT, now this baby makes short work of everything as it can easily blow cobblestones down my driveway. This unit allows me to clear my driveway as fast as i can walk, blows wet and even frozen leaves off the driveway fast! The debris under shrubs including the moist compacted dirt doesn't stand a chance, it all blows away fast! Now the unit is loud so I wear protection, but it starts first or second pull every time, does not require a silly cord to follow around and get hung up and most importantly it allows me to finish jobs very quickly. Though an electric or a weak gas blower may be quieter they still make noise and it takes you more time to finish a job. A high power gas powered backpack blower will get the job done substantially faster exposing you and your neighbors to less noise in terms of the duration of noise. New 2 cycle engines are much cleaner than they have ever been and adding 2.6oz of a quality synthetic oil to 1 gallon of gas is much easier than lugging around and winding up cord every time; not to mention the restriction of motion from the cord. Maintaining a gas blower is very simple, change the plug,air filter, gas filter, every so many hours which amounts to years for most home owners. Plug change takes 3 minutes, air filter 2 minutes and fuel filter 2 minutes thats all there is to it. Honestly, the only situation i could see using an electric blower like this one is when you have a very small flat property in an Urban setting.
We were in the market for a yard blower. So as always i researched the Toro 51599 Electric Blower/Vacuum. The price was right and the reviews that i read were all positive for what was needed for my home. After receiving this machine and finally having a chance to operate it. I have nothing but positive remarks about this purchase. The equipment was delivered when promised. It is more than powerful enough for our yard/driveway. It is very user friendly. I can't wait to see what it does on the leaves in the fall. This is my first blower and from the looks of it. This will be the only one that i will ever own. Toro you have a client for life.
I purchased this to use on my small lawn (9 x 13) after I mow. Sometimes I don't want to leave the grass clippings in the lawn, and the grass catcher is a piece of junk. I vacuum the lawn when I'm finished mowing and use the mulch in my flower pots and vegetable containers. This Toro is awesome and I couldn't be happier!
As a blower this thing works great. It's fun to use. It made me want to visit the neighbors to see if they had any leaves I could blow around! Most of the time I don't even need to turn the speed up past the lowest setting(I do have a small yard, though). The only downside is the vacuum function. It's very cumbersome when used as a vacuum. Also it would constantly get clogged with the leaves I was trying to pick up. So if you have leaves larger than 2" in. in diameter, forget it. Overall I'm very pleased and it feels like a solid product with a dysfunctional vacuum function. If I had to buy another one, I would.

(Poor Tesla Video)

(Not what I expected.)

The DVD titled Novus Ordo Seclorum is a very poor tribute to Nikola Tesla.
It is a cartoon fairytale type representation with no reference to Tesla other than one liners coming across the screen stating some statement about Tesla. This video is not a detailed factual story which demonstrates the genius of Tesla. This DVD is not worth purchasing. I would not waste money to purchase this video or DVD since it swindles folks into buying something that they believe has value but this DVD has very little knowledge value on Nikola Tesla.
Interesting information about the genius Tesla but I didn't like the pace of the video. I was expecting to watch a documentary with voice over but this one is mostly scrolling text with old videos. Some of the footage used is lame and irrelevant and the soundtrack is annoying. I didn't hate it but I wouldn't recommend it.
This is an extraordinary piece which combines music, imagery, science, and education in one truly original film. It pays high tribute to the forgotten humanitarian genius of Nicola Tesla whose inventions were stolen and name erased from the history and science books in this country. Much of the information in this DVD was new to me despite the fact that i was well familiar with Tesla's life and work. I recommend the film to teachers, students, and any type of new age folks who care about the future of the world and humanity. Great food for the open mind and excellent tool to boost intellectual and spiritual growth.

You can't find 8 mm digital tape at local stores anymore. You can use HI-8 tape in my digital camera but the videos are not as good as those taken with digital tape.

This is a great light for my sewing machine. Easily clips on
the table I use and will twist almost any direction I need.
I've had this 1 year and 3 weeks, about 100 hours use, and it quit. Bought a new bulb but apparently that is not the problem. Ott says they will fix it, though I must pay shipping both ways, and I *think* the repair would not cost me. I found the lamp useful and liked the light quality. May be worth repairing.
My family uses ott-lite more than 5 yeas and I bought 3 clamped type light for my child,
he clamped the light at bed side, however the all three had been broken in 1-2 yrs time after the purchase.
The plastic clamp always cracked within 1 year after put the bed side and then broken in additional 1 yr time...

Thus I recommend to put this not thick board like bed side bar...

I want Ott-Lite make this product more durable !!!!

The one of the reasons it was broken because the clamp made by PLASTIC!!!

I own several Ott lights, including this one. It's great lighting, but here's what they don't tell you in their misleading ads.

1. Yes, it may be a 13W bulb, but the accompanying transformer is very hot, and Ott's service department refused to inform me how much electricity and heat this hot transformer generates.

2. The transformer is slightly heated even when the light is turned off! What a waste of electricity!

3. Full spectrum light health benefits, if any, are useful only if the ultraviolet rays are seen. But, there is some evidence that macular degeneration (blindness) can result from seeing light that are more bluish, and I would suspect even more so with bluish and ultraviolet.

I noticed some deterioration of my vision (more likely due to aging), called Ott's service department, and they denied that there are any possible eye health detrimental effects. How can they possibly know, when there are those suffering from macular degeneration who claim to the contrary. What a bunch of hypocrites to be making claims of healthy lighting and not advising there may be severe damaging effects.

If I ever get macular degeneration, Ott will certainly be blamed, because I worked with the Ott lite very closely. Why can't they just tell the truth and the user then can then take preventative measures?

4. These lights overall are expensive, expensive to replace, and very expensive on electricity and heat generated. I think the new type of low wattage bulbs that last much longer are usually superior.

I bought this vacuum attatchment after reading the reviews hoping it would fit my vacuum. I was delighted it did. The best part I liked about what the review said was it had an adjustment to how much air you want. It doesn't work that way on mine. The holes don't close all the way so I hardly get any suction at all. When you turn the nozzle it leaves a gap. Very dissapointed in the product. I also had to use the extension for it to fit on my vacuum. I have a bissel. This was a waste of money :(
I bought this for my Dirt Devil Scorpion. I am pleased with this product since it fit my little hand held vacuum and is nice for getting in between my keyboard and the intake on my cpu and hard to reach places on my furniture. It even fit my little car vacuum and larger house vacuum, I believe it will work with virtually any vacuum, and for the price, you can't go wrong.

I have owned this product for about a month, and used it several times. I was considering purchasing one of the heavy-duty steam cleaners designed for carpet that has a tile attachment, but a friend told me about the Haan. While it seems to be the opposite (a steam cleaner designed for tile but with a carpet attachment), I'm glad I tried it before making a much bigger investment in the other kind. It works great on tile, and does a terrific job on carpet, too! I have lived in my house for 5 years and haven't had the carpet cleaned until I got the Haan. It does not remove the stains, but it certainly loosens them and all I had to do was hit them with some spot cleaner, scrub a little, and go back over them with the Haan. My carpet looks, feels, and smells great, as does the carpet in my van, which was getting pretty embarassing. I say that it's great for light duty because I don't have pets, only two small children, so I don't know how it would do on those kinds of messes. As I was cleaning the carpet, though, it did bring a small piece of a sucker that was buried in the carpet up to the surface and I was able to clean it right up!
As soon i a got the cleaner I had to take it out and try it. It works great! You can see the steam coming out. It did not leave any puddles of water on my floor, it was dry in a few minutes. The pads to attach are VERY thick (dont know if they need to be that thick). The handle that comes up and down sometimes closes if you push a little to hard (which on some spots you have to) overall, the price and product are well worth it. They only real change that I would make would be a head that could swivel.
I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this product! It cleans great and leaves my floor dry and sanitized. With 3 children and 2 pets I was looking for something chemical free and easy to use. I would, and have, recommended this product to everyone. You will never need to buy cleaner or labor over cleaning your floors again. 5 star product!!!
I've had this for approximately 3 months now and I love it as does my housekeeper. He and I both use it on my porcelain tile, regular tile and the carpets. I had my doubts so after using it in my kitchen, I ran a paper towel on the floor and expected to see dirt and I did not! It really cleans well and is easy to use. And it is very lightweight!
This is the best money I have spent in a long time and would even recommend the product to my mother-in-law....doesn't that say it all......

Finally, a steam cleaner that works....after having tried four others I was gratefully surprised! While you don't see the steam, because it comes out the bottom directly to the floor and not out the sides, it cleans so fast that it took me a few tries to learn that I don't have to move the machine slowly for it to work. I have never had such a clean wood floor so fast!

Then, I used the carpet glider and freshened the carpet my stinky dogs have enjoyed for years. I was shocked that the smell actually left! And I spent no more than 5 minutes.

The plastic that these bags are made of is way too thin to be practical. The bags rip very easily, even when used exactly as the manufacturer specifies. For the money you pay for what is essentially a plastic seal-lock bag with a valve, you'd think you would get a bag that utilized a thicker sheet of plastic. Also, the bags do not keep their seal. The valve itself can keep the air in after the air is vacuumed out, but not over an extended period of time. Perhaps the manufacturer could make the screw-on cap, more reliable. Perhaps the seams of the plastic bag are not sufficient. Perhaps the bags could be made more durably, I'm not sure, but this product is really poorly made.

Bottom line is that this product does not do what it advertises, it is built in a very shoddy fashion, it breaks easily, it doesn't keep the vacuum seal (and the space saving advantages are lost). Do NOT buy this product.
I found that this was a fair deal. Price comparison to under-the-bed storage containers is equivalent. It didn't vacuum out so much air that I now had a drawer full of clothes the size of a dime, but it did vacuum out a significant amount of air and compared to under-the-bed storage containers, these are superior because their shape is not as fixed; you could store these in more places than a bulky storage container. But if you've already compressed your clothing tightly, the vacuum isn't going to significantly reduce the size and space bags aren't going to replace my other storage containers. Overall a good value, but no coos or ooo's and ah's from me.
I love the idea and they really compress the cloths well. The problem is they leak and suck air back in over a few hours. I have bought these twice and all of the bags have leaked.

I hear others have had better luck, not me. I won't buy them again.
I am in love... with space bags!!!! I have since purchased many more, but this is the two pack I started with - to see if they work, if I'd like them. They are amazing!!! Don't let the negative reviews stop you from trying them. At least TRY them! (although I've since found them cheaper in TWO different places than they are here on Amazon. Aldi had a 5 pack for 9.99 and Ollie's had a 2 pack for 9.99 so if you have stores like that check around first) They're relatively cheap enough to see if they will work for you... and they WILL! I don't know if I'd say they "triple" your storage space as they claim, but they definitely at least double it.
I read reviews of them not working or being fragile etc. So I was just real careful with them. They have a line on them not to fill past, I made sure I didn't. The zipper is supposedly touchy, so I slid it back and forth twice as directions explain very slowly and carefuly, and then pinched it down real good with my fingers as well to make sure there is a good seal. I haven't had any of my 15+ space bags suck air back in yet!
I was so happy, and amazed, and having so much fun stuffing everything in these and sucking them down that I was trying to find anything and everything to store away!!!
I recently moved and took the opportunity to go through my clothes and my daughter's clothes that she's too big for now and put away everything we're not using, but that I want to keep. And then I got crazy and started putting couch throw pillows and curtains away and a bathroom rug!
It is IDEAL to use these. I hate having just a garbage bag of clothes twist-tied and thrown in the basement. Now I'm deathly afraid of what else may be in the bag with the clothes! These are great, nothing will get in, and I just threw them into big boxes and taped them shut. Then threw the boxes in the corner of the basement. The boxes are labeled and the bags are clear too so you can see what's in them! And that whole big huge garbage bag of clothes... fits into one large space bag, and sucks down REAL small.

The locking mechanism gave way after first trip. Without it, it's just an expensive plastic bag. I will not buy this again.
I like to use these for both traveling and storage. I like to keep my travel luggage to a minimum and stuffing my clothes in these bags help me compact and fit things well. When i'm not traveling I use some of the bags to store clothes that i'm not using. The only bad part is the clothes get super wrinkled and you will need to iron them so hopefully your hotel will have one in the room.
Used these for a recent trekking trip to Nepal and MT. Everest base Camp. They do help to keep your items clean and dry and to save space. The slip seal that closes the bag is a problem, as it may slip off its track. Also, with heavy use the platic bags do pop especially at high altitude.

These are just barely worth the price. They do work, but they are thin plastic, the "zipper" is simple and cheap, and the "one-way valve" is nothing more then a flap of the same cheap plastic. I don't think these will hold up well, but I only need them for one trip. A large Zip-Lock bag would probably work just as well.
Packing light makes for fewer suitcases--but who wants to spend an entire vacation doing laundry? Love this and both my son and I use it constantly. I might even use it more than he does! My only issue is this - if you catch something on the smaller side, it can escape through the tiny holes near the blue turner things that open/close the trap (and yes, it was CLOSED!) But maybe the spiders I caught were just really smart!
This vacuum has as much suction as any other bug vacuum we have bought. Its easy to use and the buttons are easy to press. The problem I had with it is that if you such up something like pet fur on accident its very difficult if not impossible to get off of the filter. It does a great job of sucking up bugs though. It uses less battery power than a bug sucker with high reviews I bought from another store.
I bought the bug vacuum for my 4 y.o. grandson for Christmas along with the Eyeclops Bionic Eye. There weren't alot of bugs out in December, but he and his father managed to find a few. This is a nice, solid, sturdy toy and dad and son had a blast with it.
I gave these as gifts thinking that they would be a hit...well they were AFTER the parents went put and bought the eyeclops that goes with it. They should really sell this as a set. I would not reccomend this for the combined cost,

I got this toy for my son. Everytime the big vacumm came out he would want to play with it. So out of nessecity I started looking at vacumm toys. The age reccomendation is 3 and up but my son is 18months and loves it. At first the real noise scared him so we used it turned off. Now at 19 months he is all over the house with this toy turned on. IT ACTUALLY PICKS UP!! I have to empty the chamber b/c it does pick up hair and small dirt pieces. The price was right. Originally looked at the mini-dysons but this one was much more affordable durable and just a great toy he will enjoy fir the next couple of years (i hope) you cant go wrong buying this product!!

We purchased this for our son for Christmas. This lasted about a month before breaking. It is cheaply built and is pretty much, a piece of junk. I was very disappointed as we paid a little more in order for my son to have a match to our real Dyson. He loves "vacuuming" when I am. Be smart and buy something else!!
It arrived in the mail today, and by the night I still can't figure out how to work the thing. So much for the 3-year-old being able to do that...
It rides terribly on most surfaces and gets caught due to a poor design on the head. The plastic is very cheap, and the hose look like it'd break very quickly. The battery door is hard to open, and the screw nearly stripped. My normal screwdriver barely worked. I guess they expect you to have fancy tools to do this?
I see no evidence of the choking hazards listed on the box, which worries me because perhaps parts might fall off and I wouldn't know before the baby finds them? The on button is not the easiest to work, and it's too loud on high! I worry about hearing loss with this product. It's not clear where to put the on board tools. The instructions as well are very, very poor.
Dyson should be ashamed of this. Owning this makes me sure I don't think I ever want a real Dyson. This vacuum is plenty cute, as in you could put it in a museum and it'd make a great display. But to play with it? I don't think it will last, and it was [...]!
The simple toy Dirt Devil upright is much better, and about [...]I think.
This product made me have one of those "I can't believe I spent good money on total junk" kind of days. Sigh.

Many people compare The Watch to Genesis - I can certainly hear this aspect of their music. But this group is unique in its sound. Genesis would never have made music quite like this. Their sound is quite unique - nothing like any of the other progressive rock groups now making music. I can't wait until they put out more music.
I like the approach of this neo prog group. They remind me a lot of IQ. They emulate their idols (Genesis) in a great way without being copycats in my opinion. This is the best music I have heard since the first time I heard Opeth.
a really great suprise from Italy. By the time ive finished this cd, ill own them all! Great stuff here.If your a Genesis fan or Fish,Marillion, I suggest that you purchase immediatley!
For those of us who had the unique privilege of hearing early Genesis back in the 70's over our favorite FM station or on our dad's first stereo system in the living room, I think we sometimes tend to take for granted just how talented, progressive and entertaining that band was. So then we turn our noses up when a band that is clearly derivative of Genesis shows up with a new cd in their classic style? I think that can be a mistake, especially with a band like The Watch that certainly has an updated (tho retro) early Genesis style, and composes some very unique melodies with storied lyrics. Sorry folks, but their 2004 release "Vacuum" is a guilty pleasure for me, with excellent vocals (very integral to this band's music) and melodic hooks, along with crystal clear production. Although the band is Italian, Simone Rossetti's Gabriel-esqe vocals are very British sounding. Special note: drummer Roberto Leoni is an exceptional talent. (Great cymbal work.) My only minor complaint is that there are only 48 minutes of music here.
So here's what you do when you try a "clone" band like this: you kind of have to close your eyes and imagine yourself lying on your bunk with your Pioneer headphones on, and listening to the album that could have come out right after "The Lamb". Good shtuff. Treat yourself.

I value interesting music that is played and recorded well. This cd's rating was based on:
Music quality = 8.8/10; Performance = 8.5/10; Production = 9.5/10; CD length = 7/10.
Overall score weighted on my proprietary scale = 8.6 ("4 stars")

We were wearing out our vacuum cleaner running it during the babies colicky crying spells. We bought this CD and it works like a charm. The real vacuum quiets her down in 5-10 seconds and the CD takes 20-30 seconds, so she must be able to tell a slight difference between the real deal and the CD, but heck it works and we use it a lot. I don't understand why a vacuum sound quiets a colicky baby, but I'll do it.
My child had colic and with teething still has bad spots. When all else fails this works!

Be aware though- the 72 min. are broken into 3 tracks each ~24 min. When one ends and the next starts there is a break in the sound and then a really loud start when the next track begins. This sometimes wakes baby back up once you get them to sleep. Woke me up the first time it happened! This is why I rated it a 4 instead of a 5.

There was only one other Baby Vacuum CD I could find on Amazon and it was not rated while this one was. I ordered both. They both work.

However, the other CD has 1 hour of a vacuum sound in one track. I prefer the one with the sound on one track but it is harder to find, available only from certain sellers, and often out of stock.

If you can't order/find the other one, this one works and is better than running your vacuum yourself. The abrupt stop and start does not always wake my child (actually rarely).

When I can't find the other CD I do give this as a shower gift.

I love shop vacs better than uprights because that is what we had (a bigger model) when I was growing up, and it was great for all types of floors, and for vacuuming up water. After using this vacuum it's great on floors and for carpets that are in vehicles but not for thicker carpets that are in rooms in most houses...so I have to keep the upright around for vacuuming the rooms. For the sale price though it was worth it but I wouldn't have paid it's retail price of $100.
When this product first arrived it worked very well having a ton of suction.
I am not sure what happened, but within 2-3 weeks the suction has decreased to the point that I do not use the product any longer. Cleaning the tank and filter does no good the the suction is basically gone.
Pros: Nice suction, durable, easy maintenance.

Cons: Side latches that hold the top of the vacuum down come free fairly easily, which can be annoying.

Otherwise a very good vacuum.

Everything about this vacuum makes me think it's junk. When will these manufacturers learn that consumers are craving a better-made shop vacuum? It is at the point now that I must be careful when I choose to vacuum because this thing just puts me in such a foul mood. It is just such a piece of garbage that I want to drive over it with my truck and then burn what's left.

Like almost every other shop vacuum manufacturer, the friction fit attachments, wand, and hose require Atlas-like strength to stay together. If you dont force them together, they simply come apart at the worst possible moment. Oh, I could count a million times this has happened to me. Recently, my wife was kind enough to clean my shop while I was away. Her first comment was "That shop vac is a real piece of crap. Now I know why it makes you so grumpy!"

Let's not forget the wheels either. Even the wheels are junk. Will these manufacturers ever learn to make a shop vac that can roll over its own power cord? When the wheels hit the cord, the whole unit comes to an abrupt halt; often pulling the hose apart from the wand (see above). Then you have to go back to the vacuum, spin it off the cord, and reassemble any parts that have come off.

The most used but least effective tool on the unit is the floor sweeper. Why oh why do they put the bristle part in front of the vacuum area on this fitting? It just makes the attachment spread the dirt. Honestly now, does this company ever try to use their own product? I doubt it.

The hose on these units are such a joke. Its like pulling a Slinky around the shop. The hoses are cheap and flimsy. Give the hose a slight tug and the shop vac does nothing. Give it a firm tug and it comes racing at you like greased lightning. Look out!

Then there's the filter issue. It clogs too easily. The only time you have real suction is when the filter is first cleaned. Within 5 minutes of use, more than half of the suction power is gone.

And lastly, there is a serious noise issue. A shop vac will make you deaf. The high pitch whine (even with the overpriced "muffler") drives an annoying sound through rooms, up stairs, and into your neighbor's house.

There are no good options for shop vacs. The Ridgid, Craftsman, and Shop Vac units are all the same. Each is junk. Save your money and buy a good quality broom and dust pan. Sweeping is fast, simple, and far less frustrating.

i got 2 of these, 1 for my ryobi bt3100 saw, one for a ridgid spindle/belt sander.. as others said, the 2" end is exact diameter oftoolport,

since i had 2" pvc piping on hand, i cut a 4"length, then sawed out a 1/4" kerf/slotlengthwise..that lets it flex enough to fit inside the toolport and this adapter,nice and TIGHT. can also use tape for a perfect Tight fit... i may also try fitting the pvc on the OUTside next,since this shrinks the I.D and decreases airflow,marginally i guess...but it fits Extra-securely now,so it's kind of a bonus !
I ordered the Jet band saw - since this was listed as the reducer that went with this band saw - I ordered it - it was only a couple of dollars - so no big deal - but it doesn't even come close to being the one for the band saw.

This adapter works great for what it is designed for. It is only for changing 4 inch hose to 2 1/2 hose. Not designed to connect directly to a tool or shop vacuums. Usually the 2 1/2 inch hose will connect to the tool.
As another reviewer said..... this is the exact same size as the tool port I have.... it is NOT four inches, but slightly less. If it were exactly four inches, it would have worked.... if it were funnel shaped, it would have worked, but it's the exact same size as my dust port. it will not fit over , or inside my dust port. The industry needs a better explanation for dust port sizes.... This has caused me agravation a few other times on shop vac and other tool dust port sizes.

I find that the Norelco rotary blades wear out within a year with daily use. Each time the I replace the blades with new Norelco blades, the razor cuts like new.

My husband was complaining that his Norelco electric shaver was pulling rather than cutting hair. After a quick web search I found the heads could be replaced for about 30 dollars, so I found the heads on Amazon and ordered it for his razor. My husband is not a "package directions" reader so when he opened the box, took off and with in a few minutes was shaving and saying how great this was, I was amazed. Very easy to change out these heads!

In combination with the Hoover steam cleaner this product works very well and it has a very pleasant odor.
At 5 ounces per gallon, it takes about 1/2 gallon (64oz) to clean your house. This formula works great, and it's a good size for anyone who's planning on using their steam vac more than once.
We bought this product to clean the carpeting stains left by the previous owners. Our pets are naturally perfect and would not even think of soiling the carpet. In whose dreams was that? Regardless, the old stains were really embedded and even when the professionals cleaned the carpet before we took possession the stains did not fully leave. But this Hoover Detergent did the job and did it well. Amazement would be a good word to describe our surprise when we saw those stains leave. Moreover, those stains left without bleach. Bleach would have taken them up, probably, but who needs to have a big pink spot instead of the rose colored carpeting? Great stuff and works well for us. Would buy again.

I thought this would have been a good choice because it said it removed "allergens". It also says on the bottle "removes allergens". This is ridiculous! Many people with allergies have reactions to perfumes and scents. Yes, it's a lovely fragrance, but that's not the point. I do not dare use this stuff, filling my rooms with the synthetic smell for who-knows-how-long. This is the type of thing that can give me headaches for weeks!

I tried to find ingredients listed on the bottle before opening it but there was no list, just that phrase "removes allergens". So I risked opening the seal to sniff it, and lost that gamble. I am very disappointed. Why would they perfume an anti-allergen product? Well, I should have read a few more reviews before the purchase. Now I have a huge bottle of useless-to-me shampoo.

I am back online searching for the key words "hypo-allergenic" and "unscented". I will try for a refund, but not sure what response I'll have due to open container. I feel the packaging/info is misleading to people with allergies. Cat and dog dander are not the only allergens!

This book essentially chronicles how Gingery built a vacuum former with no real previous experience or vacuum forming expertise. There are detailed plans to construct the vacuum former pictured on the cover, and that's about it. I have not built this vacuum former, but reading this book definitely raised some eyebrows.

Gingery fails to answer all but the most basic and obvious questions. Some things left unanswered by this book:

What are the advantages, disadvantages and range of applications for this vacuum former?

What other types of vacuum forming machines exist?

What is an appropriate amount of wattage for a given material? In another book I read recommendations varied from 5 to 50 watts per square inch, depending on the application. The heater in this book (The only 110v heater he could find) puts out just 2.6w per square inch. Does this mean it just takes longer to heat, or will there be other problems?

What are the advantages and disadvantages of various kinds of thermoplastics?

What is the practical limit for material thickness?

How much vacuum/heat is needed for a given thickness of material?

What are some guidelines for depth of draw for a given material and mold geometry?

He also fails to mention that some commonly used plastics (such as ABS) are hygroscopic and require drying prior to vacuum forming.

Brand new, good information. Highly detailed schematics and detailed info. Just smaller in size than I thought.
this book is really about just building this vacuum machine, not about vacuum forming in general. gives useful info on how to build a machine.
The plans take some time to digest but are doable if studied enough. I would have liked a blown up (expanded) view of the entire sytem included to see where every thing fits at first.
While the book itself is great, and shows how to build an "industrial (almost)strength" type machine, the required complexity and construction, are beyond the ability of many hobbyists (as well as being relatively expensive). In particular, it requires welding and fabrication skills not generally available to the home hobbyist. Having said that, there is much to be learned, and using some of instructions and resources in the book, many people could easily build (as I intend) to build a somewhat simpler version, than is shown in this book.

This is by far the best resource for new Antique Radio enthusiasts who are interested in restoration. The only criticism I would offer is that the index is not as complete as such a reference work deserves. Otherwise, this is a clear, concise explanation of the inner workings of what has to be the most common radio type of the period.
This book has a lot of detailed information for anyone interested in restoring All American 5 or 6 Radios. You will need a little knowledge of electronics to fully utilize this information however. This book is likely not for beginners. This book is however a good addition to your bookshelf if you are interested in the history of Radio and in particular Tube radio.
Some errors in spelling and a few mistakes but there is a addendum to correct most of those. For the money invested this book is a good value if you are looking for information.
This book covers fundamental electronics with excellent schematic and pictorial diagrams to help the reader understand how tube radio components work. I especially liked the explanations of each stage from power supply through detector and audio amplifier, and the descriptions of the functional elements of each tube. There are many useful tips for selecting and installing replacement parts which I highlighted for future reference. Yes, there are more typos than normal but that is a minor nuisance which doesn't reduce the value of the content.
This book is just what I needed, just getting started in tube radio repair. It covers basic radio funamentals and electronics, in an easy to read and understand format. Even though it only covers one peticular radio, I feel I can apply it to any other radio. I recommend it to anyone with moderate electronic background.
Just received 'The All-American Five Radio'.
This book is riddled with Typos, not just missing a letter here or there,
but calling the term Pi...pie, calling a Sine wave...a Sign wave, etc.
In the very first chapter there is an equation demonstrating Ohms Law,
the answer given is wrong. The book gives the answer 135 by multiplication, the answer is 60 by Division! The equation just below it has the right answer but the fraction has the values in the wrong position. This on just a brief look at the book so far. Many of the definitions in the back are bad or just plain wrong. Not sure what to trust in this book. The concept is good; could have been better written for a learning manual, especially about electric and Radio. My personal opinion is that anyone giving this book a top five star rating just doesn't get it or they are associated with book somehow,,,this is suppose to be a how to learning manual, understand?

A collection of stories set in Baxter's 'Xeelee' future history, where humans get to fight multiple powerful alien races over short and vast distances, and likewise for timeframes. Starting around the year 3000, it ends way past the year 4000000.

The stories are broken up into several sections dealing with various different time periods and settings.

The average for this book is 3.39, contrast this with the later, and very similar in structure Resplendent, which averages 3.68. There's a linking narrative (which means a boatload of italics, which is incredibly annoying to read, as usual, when it is more than a few lines). A lot more average stories in this volume than the latter, but it will still be of interest for Xeelee and Baxter readers.

I place this one as middle of the pack Baxter. That makes it a very fine book. Whenever I read a Baxter book, my scientific background fills in a bit more. In the study of math and physics, some concepts are memorized equations and others are ideas expressed in mathematical language. As I understand more, I get to move things from the memorized box over to the idea box. Vacuum Diagrams helped quantum wave functions to finally click.

That's the wonder of Baxter's story telling. The narative brings life to the math.

As for the story, it is a collection of short stories bound together by a narative. The technique works amazingly well. It also gives a nice overview of where a lot of the other books sit in relation to the grand universal arc that runs through Baxter's books.

Having read so much Baxter, I didn't have the wide eyed wonder that my first encounter invoked. I did, however, enjoy it enough that I missed some new episodes of Stargate (atlantis and SG1)
cuum Diagrams throws us far into the vast expanse of space and time and won't let us return, though we shudder at the sheer enormity of its vision. It shows us this vision, the 4,000,000 year future of mankind, through short stories that are connected through a common narrator. Difficult going at first with so many ideas and situations thrown at you that it seems a bit overwhelming. Stick with it, though. I finished this as I sat in the back of my truck on lunch break at a construction site and the words "wow" and "holy sh*t" came involunarily from my lips. The ten million year history is wrapped up in a sequence of stunning stories concerning the ultimate fate of humanity and the Universe, and it was a rush of sparking imagination with a wonderfully melancholy finish. I may have even wept. The scientific detail can get ridiculously esoteric at times, but the prose is solid as are the dialogue and characters. Excellent all around.
Baxter's main work is called the "Xeelee Sequence". It is a story of the future of the Universe, which Baxter tells in 4 books: Raft, Timelike Infinity, Flux and Ring.

Vacuum Diagrams is the fifth book of the series. It is not a one-story book, but a set of 21 short stories chronologically placed. The first one is set on year 3,672 and the 21st happens some time after year 4 Million.

The 21 stories are snapshots of the future, logically linked to the main concepts of the Xeelee Sequence. In general, each story presents new and creative sci-fi concepts.

If you have read and enjoyed other works from Baxter, you will surely like this book. If you haven't read him but are a Clarke (or even an Asimov) fan, you will probably enjoy this, too.

Notwithstanding my 5 star rating, I must warn you of two issues I had with this book:
- Its style, with so many short stories, that are linked in time and in concept, can be tiring. On sci-fi terms, its like turning on a hyperdrive to move to a new galaxy, take a look at it and when you're beginning to understand what's it all about, you have to jump again. You are always left wondering about so many details and ramifications of each story. It can frustrating.
- Maybe because of this, I found the book became a little bit tedious when I got to story 18 (Shell). It took me a while to regain my energy and read the last 3 stories.

I don't think it will be fair to get into details about the Xeelee Sequence, but for those who are curious about it, here are some of its main concepts:

- Around 3000 AD, humankind develops new technologies that allow it to travel quickly through space. The solar system is colonized.
- As the human civilization expands, it finds many different and curious forms of life in planets and satellites.
- Eventually, humanity is "conquered" by other galactic races, for some time. However, Man is persistent and resilient and gets its freedom back.
- Through all the time, humankind and the other galactic races are somehow obsessed about the Xeelee, a mysterious, ancient and very powerful civilization that has technologies far beyond what the rest of races have.
- The Xeelee are so developed that they manipulate stars and planets and build a huge "Ring" somewhere in the Universe. The ring has such a gravity field that stars in its vicinity look blue.

These are just some of the basic premises of the Xeelee Sequence. I am surely missing some key elements. Hopefully just with what I wrote here you will be compelled to try any book of the Sequence. If you're into sci-fi, you wont be dissapointed.

Love the bottle. Take 1/2 gallon of coffee with you and kep it hot all day. Enough to share.
I use this thermos while at work, and I work 12 hr shifts. The bottle will keep hot coffee very hot for about 8 hours, and then it gets warm, and then by 12 hours, it's lukewarm. It's not a bad thermos at all though, very well constructed - very durable and the handle won't fall off. I'd recommend it.
We were sick and tired of buying airpots and carafes that wouldn't keep our coffee hot for more that two hours. The construction worker in the family has used a Stanley 1 quart vacuum bottle for 30 years satisfactorily, so we bought the larger one to use at home. Once we received the 2 quart bottle, our coffee stays piping hot all morning! Worth every penny.
I bought the 24oz. food bottle and also the 1 quart and 2 quart stainless steel vacuum bottles at the same time. These vacuum bottles do exactly what they are is advertized to do. They keep hot foods or drinks hot and cold foods or drinks cold for way over 24 hours AND I think they are practically indestructible! They are so sturdy, they would have to be run over by a semi to actually break them I think. I don't think I'll ever have to replace one again, but I will buy more - for gifts!
I purchased this for my husband who is a coffee fanatic. His work requires him to be out for two nights then home for one - two weeks out of the month. He was taking 3 small ones when he left in the morning. Now he only has to pack one and it keeps the coffee warm for most of the day. I ordered a Kreepy Krauley for concrete pools pool cleaner to replace the existing one I had that was wearing out. The unit I received IS NOT specifically for concrete pools as the posting indicated, but the lower model for both vinyl&concrete pools, and NOT THE SAME. I am using what arrived and it appears to be fine, but it isn't what I ordered. I'm unlikely to deal with you again!
This is the best purchase I've made in a while. It does it's job and quietly goes to sleep when the pump goes off for the day. Easy to setup and great value for the money. Buy one, heck buy two, one to show and one to go. Hey, don't know why Amazon calls this a toy, maybe the name?
Once I realized I needed to actually read AND follow the instructions, this thing went in pretty easily. It has kept the alge completly gone. I realize I will need to something about the leaves in the fall, but we do have a Leafeater. Only been a few days, but it really is wonderful so far.
Please keep in mind that all these typrs of cleaners have to be adjusted to the indiviual pool you are cleaning . I have this same style Kreepy Krauly for 8 years now and have only replaced several parts one in that time ... I'm buying a new one because the old one has faded to the point of being white . It was also time for a minor parts replacement again . I decided to purchase new instead , as there are better feature now . Understand that you need to follow the easy instructions to set this up for your application . Once that is done , you'll have years of a sparkling clean pool (with very little effort) . Worth every penny .
I've had my kreepy krauly 12 years. Works great. Since it relies on good pressure you need to keep your pool filter and skimmer basket clean. I've had others that cost more and don't work as well. You can get these for $300 - $400 if you shop around.

As many have written, this product is useless if it does not contain all the attachment listed within the description and pictures. It is irrelevant if the unit is shipped by the manufacturer, drop shipped from a 3rd party or shipped from the Amazon warehouses across the country. This is a purchase you DO NOT WANT TO MAKE. However, if you enjoy nothing but time, this might be fun, you can call amazon, call your credit card company to dispute the purchase....all fun wasted time.

Mine shipment was lest wheels and all attachments besides the two large tubes identified within the picture. Maybe I should keep it after all and I can consider my vacuuming tasks a work-out while I carry the unit during my tasks....wait...scratch that...it lacks a handle!

I have not tried the product but my as I have concluded the product is not worth the purchase if it is unuseable as packaged. Another disappointing Amazon purchase within a month.

I was looking to buy a Dayton brand vacuum until I saw the price. The one I was looking at was 6.5 hp and had vacuum scfm of 210. This vacuum for less than half the price is 6.25 hp and scfm of 190. I'll trade 20 scfm for $120 any day. Excellent vacuum. Only negative is that it doesn't come with the bagless filter for wet/dry. Had to spend an additional $20 on the bagless option accessories. Overall excellent deal either way. Drain on bottom of canister and really long hose are great features too. Can leave vac in other room while vaccing bedrooms (residential).
I bought this to clean up around my Chinchilla cage - they delight in throwing litter everywhere. Works great!

This shop vac really has come in handy; I wish I had bought one years ago. I use it for a lot of fast cleanup jobs that the normal vacuum would have choked over. I even used it to clean up the leaves blowing up against my front door...

The plastic tools are not that useful to me - I just use the hose. The unit is fairly quiet compared to the normal vacuum. So far no problems so I give the unit 4 stars.
I have had my Shop Vac for about a month now. The first project was to prepare my garage floor for painting.

They call it "Ultra Quiet." That may be a reach but it sure is better than my last shop-vac which sounded more like a shuttle launch.

The blower function works very well except that, even tho it has threaded on hose ends to keep it in place, during blowing the hose separated from the end fitting on several occasions. Not a big deal and has not happened during vacuuming, for obvious reasons.

It also has a very fine bag available for picking up dry wall dust.

All in all, I am pleased with the machine and would buy it again.
Everything about this vacuum makes me think it's junk. When will these manufacturers learn that consumers are craving a better-made shop vacuum? It is at the point now that I must be careful when I choose to vacuum because this thing just puts me in such a foul mood. It is just such a piece of garbage that I want to drive over it with my truck and then burn what's left.

Like almost every other shop vacuum manufacturer, the friction fit attachments, wand, and hose require Atlas-like strength to stay together. If you dont force them together, they simply come apart at the worst possible moment. Oh, I could count a million times this has happened to me. Recently, my wife was kind enough to clean my shop while I was away. Her first comment was "That shop vac is a real piece of crap. Now I know why it makes you so grumpy!"

Let's not forget the wheels either. Even the wheels are junk. Will these manufacturers ever learn to make a shop vac that can roll over its own power cord? When the wheels hit the cord, the whole unit comes to an abrupt halt; often pulling the hose apart from the wand (see above). Then you have to go back to the vacuum, spin it off the cord, and reassemble any parts that have come off.

The most used but least effective tool on the unit is the floor sweeper. Why oh why do they put the bristle part in front of the vacuum area on this fitting? It just makes the attachment spread the dirt. Honestly now, does this company ever try to use their own product? I doubt it.

The hose on these units are such a joke. Its like pulling a Slinky around the shop. The hoses are cheap and flimsy. Give the hose a slight tug and the shop vac does nothing. Give it a firm tug and it comes racing at you like greased lightning. Look out!

Then there's the filter issue. It clogs too easily. The only time you have real suction is when the filter is first cleaned. Within 5 minutes of use, more than half of the suction power is gone.

And lastly, there is a serious noise issue. A shop vac will make you deaf. The high pitch whine (even with the overpriced "muffler") drives an annoying sound through rooms, up stairs, and into your neighbor's house.

There are no good options for shop vacs. The Ridgid, Craftsman, and Shop Vac units are all the same. Each is junk. Save your money and buy a good quality broom and dust pan. Sweeping is fast, simple, and far less frustrating.

With all the good reviews not sure what I've done wrong other than use it for wet pickup which it says it can be used for. After 2 months of little use my filter has literally disintegrated.....hopefully haven't damaged motor. Will try foam sleeve next instead.
I'm using this filter in my wall hung shop vac.Because this vac is used to collect sawdust from my small band saw and belt sander, it clogs fairly quickly, but the system works well and is very compact. Over the past eight years or so that the vac has been used this way, I found that by using a piece of 1/4-20 allthread, a few nuts and washers I could fit two filters together into my shop vacuum. This provided a 100% increase in filtering and lets me extend the time between service cleaning the vacuum tank and filters. I order the filter four at a time which gets me free shipping from Amazon, so this works out to be a pretty good deal. Four filters will last me three years or more depending on use.

No problems, works as well as the filter that came with the vacuum cleaner than purchased.
As the title says, filter only.. don't throw away that base piece quite yet. Little disappointed that the picture is not honest. Sears routinely runs a by one, get one 50% off and the price is the same.. 8 bucks and they include the base.

I still buy it from Amazon for the convience.

Just got this vacuum today and am already in love with it. We have a large 16 gallon vacuum for the shop that is very loud and cumbersome to move around. This little vacuum is very quiet by comparison and I love the long hose that reaches easily to my work bench. Just exactly what I was looking for. Have it connected to my power saw with a plug that turns them both on at the same time and I am more than pleased.
I'm a recent owner of the Shop Vac Hang Up Pro with the 4.5HP motor. There's virtually nothing on my garage floor (dry) that does NOT clog up this pathetic little (in diameter) hose. I'm incredibly frustrated and disappointed with this purchase. Stay away from it. Naively, I thought that the motor was the most important component and didn't even think about hose diameter. Stupid me. Stupid Shop Vac. Idiots.
Excellent product as far as portability. Love the wall mount feature, long cords also making using it an ease. Suction tube is too narrow and is susceptible to clogging. Otherwise an excellent product.
I like that this hangs on the wall and is out of the way in the garage. The power is good for most applications; car clean out or garage vacuuming. Easy to operate, easy to use.
This is working great. I needed something light weight for the pantry, laundry and walkway, so I could vacuum when needed. The tank hangs in the corner and I can easily reach all the areas I need to clean up, just carrying the light weight hose around. This is great!
