Our bagless, self propelled Hoover seemed like "overkill." We needed something quick and light. The Stick Vac fits the bill perfectly. It does a great job on the wood floors, the area rugs- even cleaning up the Brittany hair that Zoomer, the dog, leaves! Cord could be longer. Love the power head on/off feature. After reading some of the reviews, I thought this little vacuum would not last very long. I have been pleasantly surprised, it is great for quick pick ups and really has great suction on carpet setting. It does get warm and could possibly overheat if you tried to use it for large areas. Purchased mainly for bare floors in kitchen and bath; even works good on carpet for quick pick ups. Surprised by amount of suction for this small unit that is rather inexpensive. As they state, for best results empty after each use just to keep it in top condition. I purchased this product for my daughter in California. I have this same product in my home and am so pleased with its performance that I wanted to purchase one for my daughter. She has said that she also is very happy to have it. I just moved away from home for college and the vacuum that came with the house not only broke but was also waaayy too big for our little apartment. There is a major bug in the IRobot software for versions prior to 2005 I believe (maybe 2004) which causes the robot to stop working and for batteries to charge improperly. They have a fix - send it to you free - and you ship it back (its a usb plug in device) free because they provide the envelope - Try the software fix before the battery. I am not sure if this battery lasts any longer than the original. But it does last about the same. I hope the total life lasts longer than the original. This is one of the loudest albums I've ever heard! Full of nonstop energy and catchy songs. The first two songs-Roller Coaster and Nightmare-are pure hard unrelenting rock! The next two (my favorites)-I'm just a beat girl and Gimme Culture-are fast catchy punk songs that are impossible not to sing along with! Now before you say to yourself, "Yeah Panda your the man and anything you say is obviously fact. I'm going to buy this album right now!" let me warn you this album is not for everyone. There is heavy distortion on this album, much like a Guitar Wolf cd, that is usually love/hate for most people. I love it, I think it works great on this album. (Artful and educational) Interesting information about the genius Tesla but I didn't like the pace of the video. I was expecting to watch a documentary with voice over but this one is mostly scrolling text with old videos. Some of the footage used is lame and irrelevant and the soundtrack is annoying. I didn't hate it but I wouldn't recommend it. This is an extraordinary piece which combines music, imagery, science, and education in one truly original film. It pays high tribute to the forgotten humanitarian genius of Nicola Tesla whose inventions were stolen and name erased from the history and science books in this country. Much of the information in this DVD was new to me despite the fact that i was well familiar with Tesla's life and work. I recommend the film to teachers, students, and any type of new age folks who care about the future of the world and humanity.
