We have a lot of hardwood floor and tile, and I was constantly sweeping and using the dustpan and mini vacuum to clean up dust, dirt and particles and it was a total hassle and irritation (especially since I have little ones). The sweeper does the job of the broom, dustpan, and mini vac and does it much quicker and much better. It is very lightweight so that my kids can run it (and it's fun for them), the head swivels smoothly and quickly all around, it really does pick up particles from every direction, and I REALLY love that it easily slides under and all around my furniture so it picks up the dust bunnies and junky build-up that my normal vacuum never got. I love the design because it folds up in an instant, it is super easy to use, very lightweight (although I do not perceive it as being "flimsy" like some other reviewers said), and it quickly gets the job done. I even use in on the rugs and it works good. I would HIGHLY recommend this for a person who has a lot of non-carpeted surfaces and for those who have small kids that drop crumbs and other stuff on the floor and need something to do a good job for quick clean-ups. I would agree with the other reviewers that I don't think this would replace your vacuum, but it is tremendously easier to pull this off the hook and do a quick clean up in between vacuuming.』

(Don't believe everything you see (on infomercials!!)) 『Having three cats, I thought this looked great on tv, so I ordered it right away. I am so disappointed. Most of my complaints have been mentioned in other reviews. The handle is pretty flimsy and only screws together, a couple times its come loose and I've just had to spin it a few times to get it back in. The plastic cover on one of my sweepers fell off as soon as I took it out of the box and it keeps falling off every time I use it! I wanted this for cat hair and it seems to blow it away instead of picking it up. I see little dustballs and hair go flying when I turn it on. The dirt cup seems to come open as soon as I pick up the sweeper, so it all just goes on the floor again. The informercial also showed how it could be used on carpet, I knew it wouldn't compete with a vacuum, but thought it might be nice for smaller messes, like crumbs from my 4 year old, but nope, barely works at all on carpet. Just stay away from this! Use a broom or vacuum because this sweeper hasn't done anything it's promised!』

(Love it!) 『I don't review stuff. I usually don't feel I have anything useful to say about a product. Either it works or it doesn't, and usually by the time I get to it everything has been said. But here I am compelled to write a review for the Thermos Nissan press.
I am a long time Bodum press user. But up until now I had either tolerated the company coffee or brought my own tea for my morning caffeine fix. However when starting my current job I decided I had had enough. I didn't want to bring a glass press into the office. I've had a hard enough time keeping the beaker from breaking at home, I'd have it broken in a week in the office. So after some research I ordered this press.
While I bought this for work, I have taken to bringing it home on the weekends to wash it better than I can at the office. But instead of washing it and leaving it sit to bring back to work, I use it at home, leaving my Bodum sitting on the shelf. Why? Well, it keeps the coffee hot longer. Simple. Yep, I'm sure I could find a more expensive press that does it better, but for my couple of cups of coffee this offers great heat retention.
One of the negative things I have read about this press is that it leaves a lot of grinds behind. I have found that if you don't fill it above the "lip" at the top this doesn't happen. If you do, the grinds get stuck in that lip and the grinds get around the filter.
In the end, sorry Bodum. Our days are gone. This press is my coffee maker of choice.』
(It doesn't do the most important thing...) 『You can make perfect coffee in any pot or kettle. What's needed in a good press is a durable filter that will not allow the grounds through. The filter in this press appears very durable, but it's a terrible design. It simply will not hold the grounds back. From the first pot and every pot since, mine has allowed about a tablespoon of coarse grounds through edges of the screen. I have to pour the coffee through a permanent coffee filter before I can drink it. I sometimes wonder why I even bother to use the press. It would be just as easy to boil water in a pan, add grounds, let sit for 4-6 minutes and then pour through the coffee filter.
As for keeping the coffee warm, why would anyone let it sit in the press with the grounds for an extended time period. The object of using the press is to brew the pot for a certain time length and then pour off the perfectly brewed coffee, separating it from the grounds.
My last press (bonjour) had a great filter, but it was not durable, the one before that (bodum) that glass container broke, this one can't keep the grounds out of the coffee. I guess the search goes on for a press that does everything right. Either that or just resort to using a kettle and permanent coffee filter.

Winter always is dry where I live and this year I havent woken up with a head ache from it being so dry. The unit is very quiet, only the fan on the bottom makes a hum, and at half fan setting a tank of water lasts all night and most of the day. Seemed to be some confusion in some of the other reviews as to what the double dials are for so Ill elaborate. Bottom dial controls the fan and how much vapor is blown out of the unit. The top dial controls how humid the unit makes the room. It senses when the room has reached that humidity and cuts the vaporizer. The other day with the door closed to the room I noticed that the unit was on but nothing was coming out and I turned the top dial and it kicked back in again so it does work. If you're thinking of buying a humidifier, this is your one.』

The descriptions were very detailed and helpful.It helped me choose wisely.The adjustable handle is a plus.At first it took more than 10 minutes to warm up.But afterwards my ceramic and hardwood floor looked great,no water residue or water mark left but I had to sweep first.I knew it was sanitizing when I touched the floor I just steamed and it was slightly warm. It worked wonders on the mirror. the countertop and the tub not so much. It seems almost like I have to scrub the tub first and steam it after to sanitize. It does not remove the soap scum or the sticky residue left by juice or other things on the countertop.The attachment I was using had only one little microfiber cloth and I guess that was the reason.The second time was still good on my floor, I even steamed the alphabet mat in the kids room but I had to wipe the excess water afterwards, not a lot though. The third time I used it on the floor it was as though it stopped working, there was more water left on my floor it was not even warm on the surface that I just steamed. I'll try to return it and see.』

(VERY HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!) 『I purchased my unit to remove stubborn spills and stains from our radiant heated tile and hardwood floors. We have one large (105 lb.) dog (four dogs when our daughter brings her three for a visit) and two teenagers still at home. So there are always spills and stains on the floors. The radiant heat is great, except it really bakes on spills. The worst of them, and this is the primary reason I purchased the unit, is baked on dog drool. Whether from giving the dogs treats, or from residue on dog toys, that stuff has proven to be almost impossible to remove by conventional means--at least not without spending an inordinate amount of time working on them. I tried conventional mopping, scraping with a razor blade, and even using a car buffer to rub them out. Nothing worked satisfactorily. The Haan removed them all easily! The kids spill little blobs of milk on the dining room hardwood floor as they traverse through the room, and we also had a lot of trouble removing those after they "cooked." Using the products recommended by the manufacturer of our wood floor would only remove them after a lot of scrubbing, and often you had to "hit" those several times to get them removed. Again, the Haan removed them easily.
I had researched this purchase by reading beforehand the buyer's comments posted here. One of the comments I saw a couple of times concerned the leaving of streaks on the floor after cleaning. I observed this also, but noticed that it was due to the pad being excessively soiled. Our floor was cleaned by vacuum before steaming it, but it was still heavily soiled. The pad collects that grime and when it reaches a certain "saturation" point, it simply smears some of that grime around, thereby leaving streaks. I tested this theory after noticing that after cleaning our large kitchen for quite some time, I was beginning to see some minor streaking being left behind. I examined the pad, which was brown with soil. I changed it to the clean spare pad, and the streaking stopped. Based on this, I'm confident that as we use this steamer and the floor gets increasingly cleaner, streaking will be minimized if not absent altogether.
We have not tried the Sanitizer Tray yet, so we cannot comment on its efficacy.
Suggestions/Criticisms
The handle on my unit will not stay locked in the upright position when at rest. Even when the handle is retracted to its shortest length or the cord is not coiled for storage. It's not a "show stopper" for me, just an aggravation.
Power cord management is just weird they way it's implemented. The design is poor and results in the cord often not being managed at all--it just falls out of whatever clips or guides are present. Again, it's not a big deal. I solved some of that with some nylon cable ties.
Grout lines don't really get cleaned as the pad fibers are not long enough to get down in those little trenches--at least on our floors. It might be kinda neat if there were a special pad with a design just for that. Sadly, it appears that I was a tad too hasty in my assumptions. For one, let me just start off by stating that the features the Connectland USB Mini Vacuum harness are fairly neat for the most part. It contains a retractable USB cablewheel, retractable brush, led-light mechanic (to help easier locate dust on the keyboard/notebook) and turbo mode switch (for higher vacuum efficiency). The problem here is that all of these gadgets are pretty much wasted on a useless vacuum (the core for using the entire thing).
The vacuum hardly picks up any dust at all. Even in turbo-mode (which you must have it's button pressed down the entire time during use) the vacuum appeared to excrete more air than it should have absorbed dust. I actually experimented the vacuum on a tiny strand of hair (on a flat surface) and it could hardly even pick it up. When the retractable brush is doing a more robust job of removing dust from the keyboard than the actual vacuum itself, then you know there are definitely some issues.
In summation, the Connectland USB Mini Vacuum could have been an instant recommendation at it's price (with it's nifty features). However, since it's vacuum hardly picks up any dust at all, I'd suggest skipping over this one and simply invest in a keyboard air-cleaner instead (or continue searching for a better mini vacuum). (lots of fun) 『This is a great little basket of food! My only complaints are that some of the pieces are less than life like (purple watermelon), and the paint on some has already begun to chip. My only issue is this - if you catch something on the smaller side, it can escape through the tiny holes near the blue turner things that open/close the trap (and yes, it was CLOSED!) But maybe the spiders I caught were just really smart!』
(fun but hard to clean) 『This vacuum has as much suction as any other bug vacuum we have bought. Its easy to use and the buttons are easy to press. The problem I had with it is that if you such up something like pet fur on accident its very difficult if not impossible to get off of the filter. It does a great job of sucking up bugs though. It uses less battery power than a bug sucker with high reviews I bought from another store.』
(wish I'd had one of these when I was a kid!) 『I bought the bug vacuum for my 4 y.o. grandson for Christmas along with the Eyeclops Bionic Eye. There weren't alot of bugs out in December, but he and his father managed to find a few. This is a nice, solid, sturdy toy and dad and son had a blast with it.』

Wrote ShopVac&they sent me an automated email telling me to send it in for repair. Yeah, and that will cost me $20+ in shipping. Bought this Thermos food jar at Target and was very disappointed. It claims 4-5 hours, but after just 2 hours, the food was lukewarm. I also find the Nissan jar to be more "sleek" without the bulky plastic lid. Plus the screw threads on the Nissan are also stainless vs. this one has plastic threads. I'm takin' it back....』

I tried it with some coffee and had the same results (even after pre-warming the container). I later purchased a glass insulated Thermos with plastic as opposed to stainless steel finish for less than half the price of this one and it retained the heat beautifully. In this case, you do not get what you pay for. Very disappointed. Would NOT recommend.』

(Short time for heat retention) 『Would heat leftover pasta to boiling (sank pasta in boiling water for a few minutes), preheated container for 10+ minutes with boiling water, and it would be lukewarm at best in 4-5 hours. When child leaves for school at 7:30 and lunch is at 11:30, that's not long enough! Soup heated to boiling wouldn't hold either, despite repeated attempts. Very discouraging.』

I have a small child, so most of our camping is car camping, and it is nice to hit the campsite and set up *quickly*. I spent 1/2 hour trying to inflate a queen-sized airbed before I gave up (fortunately, this was tried before we hit the road). The vacuum seemed to have a bit more power, but a whisk broom would probably do the same job much more cheaply.』
(Poorly constructed...) 『The suction on this vaccum is okay for what I needed it for, to use in our tent while camping. However, the bottom peice is held on by three flimsy clips and they will not stay fastened. I have to hold it, otherwise the bottom becomes detached and blows whatever I am vacuuming up everywhere. I wouldn't recommend this model until this issue is fixed...』
