nice concept, bad execution.
i much prefer stainless steel (rather than glass), but the filter mesh assembly is not well designed on this model, unfortunately. the mesh doesn't wrap all the way around the spring that pushes it against the walls, so looks like there are some gaps where grinds can sneak through, resulting in more sediment in the cup.
still usable, but wouldn't buy a new one if it goes.
This is my second Nissan insulated press pot. The last one lasted about 10 years and we had to get this one because the screw that holds the filter together fell out and was lost. The insulation is excellent and the pot makes excellent coffee. Highly recommended.
Bearing in mind that other stainless presses sell for $70, this one at $30 is great.

Some people have complained about sediment. Just increase grind size and also realize, this is a trait of French Presses to a degree. It is a bit of a trade-off for the balanced smooth coffee. My expensive glass press also leaches a bit of the coffee grinds into the beverage.

I have now used this unit for about a year. It delivers day after day great coffee. My old coffee maker has not returned. I have tried several other solutions I received as gifts and have returned to this. In fact, I am drinking a cup of coffee right now I made in the press.

People complaining about how hot it keeps the coffee are ridiculous folk. It does a great job for about 1-1 1/2 hours and it is still drinkably hot after 2. At that point, you don't want the coffee sitting in with the grinds anyway. If you need to warm it up, throw it in the micro or pour it into the coffee maker you will no longer use and turn on the burner.

To filter sediment, if it really annoys you, pour it through a cheap coffee filter.

I honestly find the coffee in this pot the most consistent and among the best coffee I have had...anywhere. It even makes a great cup out of canned coffee for those days you are too lazy to fiddle with beans and a grinder.

It is also incredibly durable. Great for travel. And while it doesn't look as elegant as the $70 models, it looks great in our new stainless steel kitchen.

After yet another broken drip coffee pot (they never seem to last more than a year) I decided to go low-tech and get a coffee press. I'll never go back to drip coffee. This pot is of excellent quality and makes the best tasting coffee ever.
After breaking my fourth Bodum glass coffee press, I decided that's it! I broke down and bought the cheapest non-breakable I could find. The thermos feature is a huge selling point. You can actually have a "warm-up" later as opposed to a lukewarm poor from the glass press. Only complaint is the FILTER. The filter allowed more grounds and detritus through. Easily fixed by replacing the new filter with the old one from the now defunct glass press. (Look closely and you can see the difference in the filter weave. The Bodum has a much better quality filter.) For the money, this is a great product.
Don't confine the pleasure of pressed coffee to home. With this combination of coffee press and vacuum-insulated thermos, European-style coffee turns up at the office or campground and stays hot three times longer than coffee made in a glass press. Simply spoon in ground coffee, add boiling water, place the lid on with plunger in the up position, wait four minutes, push down the plunger slowly, and . . . Presto! Fresh, piping-hot coffee for two or three hours. Lightweight and virtually unbreakable, the press has a handsome, satin-finish exterior and tough, nonslip, black plastic top and bottom. Although this vacuum does have a variety of nice attachments, I don't think its benefits outweigh its drawbacks. I do have 2 medium haired cats and a 2 year old Golden Retriever, which is why I bought a machine that is marketed to target pet hair.

The attachments are great. The rubber pink thing is particularly good at getting fur off of furniture, stairs, etc. Unfortunately, once it picks up the hair, it regularly jams up the beater bar and the connection from the hose to the machine itself. At this point it loses all suction.

Furthermore, emptying the receptacle, which needs to be done at least twice per session, stirs up a huge mess. The filters are also messy to clean, a task which also has to be done more often than I would like.

Add to that the bulk, weight and general awkwardness and I would not recommend this machine to anyone with stairs.
I bought this vacuum in spite of the fact that I really didn't want another bagless unit. But in the store it seemed like this one would be easier to dump out than the dirt devil I have, so I thought I'd give it a shot.

1) It's heavy, but I didn't have trouble putting it together like some other folks did.
2) It did pick up copious amounts of dirt, and worked pretty well on carpet, hardwood and my area rugs.
3) I liked how easy it was to switch from vacuum to hand tools.
4) It was nasty to clean out. The bin is easy to remove, but it fills up pretty quickly, and all kinds of stuff gets stuck up in the upper part of the bin where the filter is. The only way to get it out was to stick my hand up there and pull it out. NOT what I had in mind.
5) The belt broke during the third use.

So I was willing to live with the nasty clean-up - hoping that if I used this unit regularly, the clean-up would become less heinous. But having the belt break so quickly was unacceptable. The vacuum went back and i plan to buy a nice upright with a bag as I had originally intended.

Maybe I'll even spring for an auto-rewind cord - since the only thing I hate as much as emptying a filthy canister is rewinding the darn cord.
I was excited to use the vacuum and for the first 3-months worked great! A lot of suction on rugs and carpet, then I noticed that the rollers were not working and for some reason the height adustment seemed broken. I could not find anything to fix and instead had to settle for using the vacuum in one setting. After 6-months the vacuum just stopped. All filters had been cleaned after each use, so blockage was not an issue. A waste of money for a product that lasted less than a year. Disappointing indeed.
The vacuum cleaner does a great job with both dirt and pet hair. It is amazing what you find in your carpet the first time you use it. I especially like that you can wash most of the parts that come into contact with the dirt. The HEPA filter, that cannot be washed, is still remarkably clean after several uses of the vacuum cleaner.
great at getting up the pet hair off carpeting but when used on bare floors, I had to followup with a broom. I returned this product.

I was able to pack my toddlers and my own clothes in a carry on bag with extra shoes. It was very easy to use and lasted. I will be using again very soon. Even if they only last 4 trips I will have saved money from not having to check baggage!
They are not air tight. I bought a package of the travel Space bags that you role the air out of instead of vacuum out. Initially they seemed to work, but by a day later, all the bags had filled with air again. I tried several times with different sealing methods and fewer or different items in them, but the result was always the same. DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY. Most of the reviewers here had the same problem. I purchased a roll of clear, industrial type office trash bags that did the same job much better and for far less money.
I purchased these since I travel a lot. I always prefer to travel all carry on. Sometimes my bag needs a little more space. These seem to help. They are basically like a very large ziplock bag with a special zipper. The zipper allows you to roll up your clothes to get our all of the air from the bag. By doing this, your bags become a lot thinner. They are very easy to use. Although in the process of using them, I made a few observations:

1. In a smaller suitcase (like a carry on) you may not get the full value from these. They work better in a larger suitcase.

2. Most airlines have a 50lb weight limit on suitcases. Compressing out the air out of your clothes doesn't remove weight. So you may want to verify how heavy your bags are before you get to the airport.

3. Since I was able to get so much more in my carry on bag, TSA had to hand check it. They claimed that the machine couldn't see through everything I had in there. Fortunately, they didn't want to open up and look in all of these space bags. During this hand check I realized that it is possible that the may want to and how big of a pain that would be.

None of these things are deal breakers for these. You just need to use them a few times and figure out the best way that they can work for you. I am anxious to see how they are going to work for an upcoming family Vacation for My wife and I are taking our three kids on.

This product is great! I can't get over how these bags can shrink and become so small with so many garments. I packed(stuffed) many well folded summer garments in the large bags and was amazed at how compact the bag became once it shrunk. Now I have so much more room in my closet and a bunch of empty storage containers. The other two I travel with-in my carry on!! I would definitely recommend these to anyone who needs to store bulky items, or additional storage space, and don't want to pay for checked bags.

I would have used these hepa filters, but my vacuum needed larger filters, so I had to ship them back. They were brand new, though, and ready to use. Return went normal. I would recommend this seller, but make sure you know what size your vacuum needs, don't go by the photo for size comparison.
They work as well as the original and will buy again! I don't understand how people can give a negative review of this product b/c I have had no problems with it!
Bought this a month after my wife accidentally threw off the old filter.
Pros:
1. Excellent filtration of dust. Either the original/OEM filter was substandard or probably had a tear - our dark furniture used to get a fine patina of dust and we had assumed that it was time for a new vacuum.
2. Fit like a glove into my DirtDevil Vision and has been effective in keeping the dust well inside and away from the motor ever since.
3. The filter life can be extended easily by enclosing the filter in a plastic bag and hitting the black base on a wall/ground and getting as much dust out of it as possible (very easy to clean this way).
4. OEM filter costs more than double as per DirtDevil repair center and even in Target/Walmart!
Cons:
None whatsoever after 8 months of using ONE of those filters!
They work just fine and fit fine and great price and free shipping was very nice.

For a small camera, this mount worked great. I may not trust it with a larger pro-sumer camera (I have a DVX-100B which I didnt want to trust to the power of the suction cup)but it certainly gave me more than adequate mounting for some great low angle shots using a smaller cam corder. The swivel arangement lets yo get the camera in any needed position, and witht he removable head we were able to use it in conjuction with a tripod to create other shots that would have been difficult or immpossible to get.

Best money I've spent on camera mounts by far.
This mount was exactly what I was looking for.

The build quality could not have been better. It's made of very nice high quality metal, plastic and rubber. I have no worries about mounting my high end Nikon DSLR or Sony Hidef camcorder to this mount.

This mount has it's own built in pump and fool proof feature that will warn you if the mount is getting ready to loose it's suction.

I have had no problems with the mount loosing it's grip on several types of surfaces.

I have a Nutone system (IM 3303) in my house. This particular purchase was a replacement for and orginal outdoor station. If I had to do it over and knowing what I know now, I would not have purchased a Nutone product. The system is 5 years old and I have replaced the initial home system along with 4/8 remote stations. Nutone uses (in my opinion) cheap components. Bascially the buttons and contacts (internal) break and or wear out. This particular outdoor station uses a cheap button for ringing the doorbell. They should do relability tests at Nutone and build something that will last.
I try not to get my expectations set too high when it comes to cheap switches. It is expected that a doorbell switch will fail after long exposure to the elements. Most are inexpensive, one replaces them and moves on, but to make a $40 doorbell replacement is a hard sell. I have replaced a number of these items. In the majority of cases the cheap little button switch is the cause of the failure, but the whole assembly needs be replaced.
Use some clear silicone caulk after connecting,(AND testing), the assembly to seal the rear of the switch, and to seal the housing to the wall. It will not stop the button from failing, but will extend the life of it.

My 4 year old daughter loves to clean like we do. When we start cleaning house, she runs to find all if these cleaning supplies and starts cleaning too. The dust buster kind of works, but it would be a LOT cooler if it worked more.
My kids loved it at first, but the broom broke within the first day. This is not worth it. The ones at walmart hold up alot better and its cheaper...next time i'll just shop walmart, at their stuff doesn't break with not even a day of use.

I was not satisfied with this product. It did not keep liquids warm. I put in my hot tea and went to work. After one hour the tea was already lukewarm and I expected it to still be hot.

This Blower/Rake and Vac works great. I love it, it made my fall cleanup a breeze. It is sturdy and easy to handle. It takes the work out of fall cleanup. Also it works great in the spring to take care of garden messes. I also used it to clean out the gutters.
It is very powerful.
At top speed, it blow things everywhere!
The Vaccuum function is good, but sometimes big leaves get stuck inside the tube.
This is a decent product. Blower works very well, especially on high. The vacuum is a little suspect as the suction power is a little weak. It will also clog up quickly and you have to reach in the intake port to clear the clog frequently. The bag is very awkward to hold. The bag strap continually falls off my shoulder and I end up just letting the bag hang there while I vacuum leaves.
I have had the unit for about 2+ years. It is a very good 'blower'. For the first time in the 2 years I've owned it I decided to vacuum some leaves. There must have been a clump of wet ones that got sucked up into it. Within seconds the motor began to burn up. I noticed one of the blades had broken too. With the broken blade it caused it to be unbalanced and consequently did not function well. Conclusion: good blower but be wary of using it as a vacuum.
I needed an electric blower for a 9-unit apartment building, for sweeping the balcones, stairwells, patio and carports. I didn't need heavy lawn raking or mulching capability. I wanted one without exhaust fumes and as quiet as possible as I prefer not having tenants throw eggs at me, so gas blowers were right out. These Toros were top rated by Consumer Reports, and the local Home Depot had these two on display out-of-box. As a certifiable gadget-itis afflicted Star Trek fanatic, I was all set to get the fancier one... the red 51599 Ultra. The black 51574 was noticeably lighter though--6.5 vs 7.5 lbs. The Ultra had variable speed vs 2 fixed speeds....however the fixed speeds were not too far inside the extremes of the Ultra--roughly 5% above and 10% below...so it appeared I could trade off maximum quiet for maximum power roughly as well. I also didn't need the mulching capability of the metal impeller. Still, I decided to try them both.

For my application, the Rake&Vac had more than enough power even at the lower speed. Therefore the variable speed of the Ultra was cool, but not particularly useful. The vacuum function on both was fairly weak....I don't think I'd bother digging out and changing the attachments for vacuuming, manuevering this clunky configuration above the debris, unzipping the blower bag into the trash then storing the vacuum attachments then changing back to the blower attachment...it's faster just dustpanning blown debris into our wheeled trash bins. Both had approximately the same relatively tolerable whitish noise spectrum i.e. no irritating tones or whining, like some hairdryer-like blowers. It's a shame spectral diagrams of products' noise are not given by manufacturers...they make a big difference to users. They were also reasonably quiet, though I'd prefer quieter....the Toro website lists them at about 63dBA both at the lower speed...important for an apartment building. Additionally, hearing a blower speed vary is more noticeable than a constant speed...as anyone subjected to a gas leaf blower's operator constantly varying the speed can attest.

But the Rake&Vac's surprising smoothness clinched it for me. I vastly preferred using it...not only is it significantly lighter, but it had much less vibration. This gave it a quality, well balanced feel, vs the rough, buzzy, heavy feel of the Ultra. Looking at the Toro website, the 7.5 pound weight of the Ultra vs the 6.5 pounds of the Rake&Vac is mainly from the 12 amp vs 10.5 amp motor, with another 1 pound maybe from the metal vs. plastic impeller. I'm guessing the vibration could be a badly balanced metal impeller, or maybe just the larger motor.

As the Rake&Vac has more than enough power for my application, I might still try the lighter 4.6 pound Toro Power Sweep 51585, but I suspect it will have a whiny noise spectrum that might be quieter in the dBA sense but more annoying...

If you need that metal impeller or variable speed, you might prefer the Ultra...otherwise you'll probably prefer the lighter, smoother, cheaper Rake&Vac.

The battery pack came in fast and it works great. It charges up in 2 to 3 hours. My original one needed 8+ hours to charge.
This thing is a great $$ saver, though you pay for it in the difficulty of removing the lid from the old battery. It can be done with patience, just be aware that it's not a 5 minute thing to install these.
As others have mentioned, the battery case is hermetically sealed. A couple of regular screwdrivers will get it open with a few minutes of careful prying. The replacement pack comes with short leads. It's probably easier to connect the old leads to the new ones and use the heat shrink tubing on the connections. I chose to desolder the old contacts and solder the new leads to the contacts. It's tight working quarters in there and in hindsight wished I had just spliced the wires together.

I give it 4 stars, not for the effort level, but for the lack of documentation.
I'm very pleased with the ease of replacing battery packs, the price and the performance. I highly recommend this method of updating Roomba battery packs.
