I like the Dcf 10 so much better. It is durable after many wash and much easier to install. Dcf 14 is made of some kind of fabric the catches the dirt and it is very delicate. It's an air filter. (Works wonderfully.) (Love this machine!) (Brick of Bread) If you are a fan of fine, home baked breads and are in the market for a bread machine, look no further. This machine is fabulous! It has many menu features for perfectly baking a wide variety of breads and a delay timer for bread when you want it. My favorite features are that the bread pan and dough blade can go straight into my dishwasher, the fan keeps the heat evenly distributed for beautifully baked breads, and it features a beep signal at the end of the mixing cycles so you can remove the mixing blade before it bakes. This means you won't have that annoying large gap in the underside of your bread. I absolutely love this machine and recommend it to every bread conniseur. If, however, you are only looking for a bread machine to mix up pizza dough and an occasional loaf of simple bread, I suggest saving some money by purchasing a less expensive model with less bells and whistles. Happy baking! Maybe it doesn't work as well in high altitude (Denver) but I have tried to make an edible loaf of bread out of this thing many times with no success. The loaf is either a brick or raw. Following the recipes exactly or making modifications according to the rather vague high altitude instructions didn't help. Besides, it is not all that hard to bake bread from scratch without a bread maker and you don't have funny shaped loaves with a hole in the bottom of them. This machine makes wonderful gluten free loaves. It does what "they" say it will, of course it's a Cuisinart. That being said, it is larger and less attractive than I would have imagined from a Cuisinart product. I got this for a gift, (my husband got tired of hearing me bang my old machine on the counter to keep it going).I have had zero problems with this machine. The"electric smell" when first started was hardly noticed. It really mixes and kneads completely. I like the "mix-in" reminder, I love being able to take out the paddle before baking the bread. I will try the jams/jelly feature next, I have a lot of hot peppers ready to harvest.I would recommend this machine to my best friend. (Wife of Wrongway ) We purchased this breadmaker after our old one broke. We have had this breadmaker for 2 weeks and I have attempted multiple loaves of bread with no luck. They turn into little hard lumps that do not rise. I have even bought new flour and yeast hoping to resolve the issue but this last loaf is again not as good as our old breadmaker. (Not what I expected) (This is exactly what we needed for our carpet problems) (Great machine) This product is far too complicated for its own good. If all one wants to do is clean a stain, why does one need an intricate set of automatic settings? What's the point? The older SpotCleaner, which Bissell no longer sells, was much easier to use, more portable, less bulky, less costly. Complexity for its own sake is just silly. I really LOVE this machine!! We are trying hard to house train our puppy, but quite frankly we have had a LOT of accidents, and inevitably when he poops in the house it is a rather wet consistency (YUCK!). What AMAZES me most is that, even when I clean the stain thoroughly by hand using traditional foam carpet cleaner and brush it out so it looks fine, the Spot Bot can still get a TON more yucky stuff out of the deep fibers of the rug. Our rugs are less than a year old, yet the dirty water tank pulls out dark brown water even after it looks to the eye like the stain has been thoroughly cleaned up by hand. This means it also gets out ALL the smell and there are no lingering odors. BIGGEST PROS: really deep, deep cleaning; eliminates all lingering odors and leaves fresh smell; incredibly easy and convenient - just set it on the stain and walk away (no elbow grease and you don't have to put on rubber gloves and scrub at nasty smelly poo poo!); this thing really works great! MINOR CONS: the OxyClean stuff can be expensive (I just squirt a little directly on difficult spots before running the machine rather than mixing so much of it into the tank); machine beeps incessantly once cycle finishes to tell you it is done cleaning; leaves a clean wet spot that can take a little while to dry (with area rugs, you can flip rug up so dries faster and doesn't damage hardwood floors underneath). I never ever take the time to write product reviews and am not easily impressed by household appliances. But this little machine works so well that I felt I had to write about it!! I definitely do not see how anyone can survive puppy training without one! I purchased this item after reading all the good reviews. Unfortunately it doesn't do what I expected it to do. I tried to clean the kitchen chairs using the hose and they did become lighter and cleaner, but the stains are still there and they didn't get any cleaner although I used the OXY Gen recommended by Bissell and included in the package. The usual cleaner that I rented from the store did a much better job and left no stains... so at least the hose part of Bissell is not as powerful as I expected. We have an elderly dog who is in his last days and who is having "accidents". We have a puppy who is not quite trained yet. We have a middle-aged dog who, with all this fun going on, has chosen not to remain house-broken. I am VERY squeamish and hate to clean carpets after nasty accidents. Happily, we have a good dog trainer who is helping with the problems that can be helped - but our elderly dog will continue his accidents because he cannot help it at this point. So we have all these carpet spots (of both varieties) to deal with on an ongoing basis... I cannot state strongly enough how much I love this hands-free machine. I clean the worst of it, and the machine does the rest - quite nicely. It runs through its little cycle, and has lights like a dishwasher, letting you know exactly where it is in its cycle. It has worked now dozens and dozens of times. It doesn't fuzz up our carpet, but we have Berber, which might be hard to fuzz up. If it died a premature death I would happily buy it again. This has been a terrific purchase that has helped this unpleasant problem of ours. The only down-side, which is very minor, is that if I don't empty the take-up container, it sloshes around while cleaning and wets the carpet. It gets up the spots that our leaky dog leaves. We had our carpet professionally cleaned a week ago and need something to clean the spots though our next cleaning service appointment. Same Bag however, so I'm a happy man. My Complaint - For Me, the installation of the bag on the WindTunnel as always been harder than it needs to be. There has to be an easier way. I can't find these bags in my area and these are exactly what I need. They are good quality bags, but a little hard to put on. The cardboard collar area is a little weak and you have to cut a hole in bag at hole to get it started. Overall, even with the difficulty getting them on, I will continue to order product. I highly recommend the Hoover Bag "Y". It is easy to put on and take off, and it does not fall apart when full. Fast service, I purchased the vaccuum at an earlier date from "Overstock" but no extra bags or belt were included. I had to purchase these separately. First the complaint - these bags are awfully pricey considering that they fill up so fast. The bag is too big for the compartment, so you have to fold it over at the top and bottom to get it to fit into the allotted space. Despite having owned this model vacuum for seven years, I still need three hands to get the corners of the over-sized bag tucked into place before slamming the compartment shut. Changing the bag is a dirty bit of business, because when you pull the old bag off, all that super-fine dust at the top goes *POOF* and escapes from the bag's opening . We've taken to putting the vacuum on the back porch before opening up the bag compartment to keep dust out of our home. I see a name brand competitor has come up with a solution to this by putting a little trap door thingie by the bag's opening, so when you pull the bag off the vacuum, all the dust doesn't fly out of the bag and go *POOF*. Okay - the positive - these Hoover paper bags do a decent job of trapping fine dust particles, but I do wish they'd figure out how to make bag removal and installation easier. Or just make the bag a different shape so you're not contorting it to get it into the allotted space. More recently, I've started using Filtrete (3M) bags. Made of cloth, they're lined with an electrostatically charged media which captures dust and dirt down to .3 microns. Ever since I started using the Airpod (about an arms lenght from my face), my sneezing fits have subsided. CON: It is bigger than it should be I think. The filter area looks like a box of kleenex attached, looks cheap. It is very noisy. I am not sure but I think it generates HEAT? Which I hate! this office is stuffy enough now I flip on something to help me breathe but it makes it feel stuffy? I see the price of this is dropping like a rock. I bought it a week ago and paid $45. It's now $37. Save your money. Go to your nearest "big box" store and buy the cheapest HEPA filter air cleaner they have (you can usually get them for about $20-25). It will be better than this. You have to move some air to make a HEPA filter work. And the fan on this unit is NOT powerful enough. This unit has an electrostatic ionizer, but unlike most of the other cheap units, you can't turn it off. That's not a feature, that's a bug. I bought this because it fits perfectly on the shelf by my bed. But there's this annoying bright blue LED light on the front of this that can't be shut off and it's so bright you can see it with your eyes closed. I had to put something in front of the light to sleep. This is a surprisingly powerful filter. We weren't expecting much for the size and price. In fact, we meant to give it as a present. It's easy to carry, but you have to be careful with the filter itself, as it protrudes from the fan, and is made of cardboard. It crushes and tears easily. I brought it with me to a chain smoking household. In just a few hours, there was a noticeable difference in odor between the bedroom and the rest of the house. $17 per a piece of cardboard (the replacement filter) is a bit expensive, so I give this four stars. I work in an office located next to a freeway. I used to sit far away from the freeway-side, but moved closer to the freeway-side and found my allergies were worse than ever. I got this a little late in my allergy season, but it seems to be doing the job. In one week the filter was already grey-ish in color. For a "portable" item, the exposed filter is very fragile and the unit has an unpleasant odor unlike the regular Blueair devices. Disappointing. So I had to pay for the privilege of returning the wrong merchandise that Buy-It-Now-Store had sent me -- and I'm still waiting for a refund of my original purchase price. AVOID THIS MERCHANT!! I will admit to enjoying cleaning my own house as it not only burns calories, it allows me to take a break from thinking intensely for hours at a time. Housecleaning can almost be meditative if you find the right cleaners. What is especially enjoyable about the Panasonic U6 bags is the microfiltration. Over the years I've had bad experiences with vacuum bags that either broke, allowed the dust and dirt to return into the air or that simply could not contain more than¼ of a bag before needing to be changed. The quality of your vacuuming endeavors is most definitely determined by changing the bag often enough to not cause the motor strain, but you don't want to have to change the bag each week as this gets expensive. After trying a variety of "alternative" selections for the U6 vacuum bag size, I've come back to the genuine article, which has yet to be duplicated. It works great. I believe it could have been marketed somewhat differently. All you get with the shop vac, is the suction hose - no attachments. If you want those, they are available for about $100. The unit is useless without the attachments. But, it is a money maker. If you want to switch to a 1 1/4 in. hose and attachments, that will run you an additional $160-$170. They say you have to pay for quality. At these prices, this thing had better be my last shop vac. If this one breaks down, I will go back to Sears. In addition, Eastman was one of the few authors who could clearly explain the theory of push-pull operation. The most recent book on Vacuum Tubes that I've found so far. Old technology may get superceded, but it doesn't cease to work. There are probably some situations where vacuum tubes are preferable. Not a recent book, nor is it comprehensive, so only three stars.
