I purchased this product for my sister last Christmas. She's disabled and a cordless hand-held vac is perfect for her and she uses it every day to pick up dust, dirt, and kitty litter. Unfortunately it's now November and the battery no longer charges to full strength. So I looked on line to find replacement batteries which is impossible. Then I read a review here and discovered that they are about as expensive as replacing the whole thing not to mention the difficulties replacing the battery once you find one. Not something my sister can do on her own. I wish they made a hand vac that has easily replaceable batteries like they do for battery-charged screw drivers and the like. I also agree that it doesn't hold a charge as long as the manual states. If it runs constantly you'll be lucky to get it to last five minutes, even when it's new. Unfortunately she cannot find the receipt so we can't get a replacement under warranty.
This product is amazing. I have used it for 2 years with no problems at all... I had to clean up some tile dust and bits and it sucked the dirt very fast. It is a very good product
This dust buster is easy to use and does a great job picking up the little stuff from the bare floor or from the rug.
Maybe something is wrong with my vac, but the suction powerful is extremely weak. I can barely pick up human hair... Very disappointed.
Battery died in just over 2 years. Happens to be just out of warranty. The problem? The charger never shuts off. Standard Nicad's cannot be left on continuous charge. They are not rated for such service. The Nicad's are ruined fast. Do check the current of the ac adapter though. The old ones were 300ma and were killing batteries fast. The new ones are 130ma and seem to last longer. Seemingly 5 years. But remember that nicads when taken care of will last a decade or the life of the machine.

I'm excited because these pads fit the Steamboy as well as other similar models - makes it very convenient to have access to a variety of suppliers for the same or similar product.
I bought these as a replacement for my H2O mop, and they worked better than what came with the mop!! And they're less expensive!!
I purchased this for my H20 machine and they fit perfectly. Are very absorbent.
I was a bit disappointed with this product. There is some water puddling while you are using it. However, I would recommend it.
Nice that these pads are washable. They do slip off here and there but they pick up a lot of dirt! Overall very happy with the pads and the steamer.

works quite well if you are not looking for the flapper feature that keeps debris / dirt inside the storage area. In another word, you would want to empty it frequently.
I haven't used any of these replacement filter sets yet because the one that came with the handvac still functions well; however, the replacement filters I ordered from Amazon.com were much less expensive than ordering from Black and Decker and by ordering 4 sets, I did not have to pay postage and got the fourth one free! Additionally, the order was received within a week from the date the order was placed.
It should be noted that this filter set also works with the 18v B&D FireStorm handvac (and presumably the silver version I saw on the shelves of WalMart a while back). After my last project clogged its filter with gypsum dust, this brought it right back to life.

Hi;Received my order from Quality Dist. LLC promptly (ie., there was a delay but it was a result of a miscommunication with my local UPS.) Quality Dist. responded quickly to my email. Fine company. RPK
replacement bags were needed desparately by our son who has a few fein products. loves the ease of replacement and how well they work.
Using the bag inside the Fein 9-11-55's cannister eliminates two problems at once. First, you no longer have to wear a dust mask when emptying your shop vac because all you have to do is remove the bag, put it in the trash can and insert a new one. Second, your paper filter cartridge will no longer get clogged with dust, an especially knotty problem if you sand a painted surface or do any sanding or cutting of MDF or other engineered wood products, all of which make a fine powder that is hell on vacuum filters.

Go get 'em.

We got this for our basement and also because my husband does a lot of home building projects and this vacuum has worked very well over the years. For the most part -- it has really stood up under the abuse (though the switch quit working shortly after we got it so the only way to turn it on and off is by plugging it in or unplugging it -- or using a power strip with a switch).

This thing has a LOT of power and will suck up virtually everything in its path -- so be sure you don't aim it at anything you DON'T want to have vacuumed up -- like small pets, clothing, etc.

I gave it 4 stars because of the switch malfunction and I would really like to see more attachments for smaller areas -- but that probably isn't totally fair since it really is intended for large spaces and heavy duty jobs. However, since it is down in the basement and garage area -- it would be great if there were attachments that would be a bit more "car friendly" so that you could get into the nooks and crannies of car interiors better.

All in all, I would definitely buy this again and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to anyone that was thinking about it. We wind up using it far more than I ever thought we would.
I have had a few Shop Vacs in my little workshp over the last 40 years. I have been adding them, not replacing them. They have proved to be extremely reliable... the oldest one still doing dust collection duty for my table saw. I just had a problem with my "newest" one, a 10 gal unit. I emailed Shop Vac and explained the problem. In about 1 hour they sent me a response and said they will ship a replacement part. They stand behind their products!
Overall this is a good buy. My only complaint is something I have found with other shop vacs as well- the hoses have no locking mechanisms and the attachments come off rather easily. But this machine has a lot of power and I would reccomend it.

This 4HP wet/dry vac is amazing. It has excellent+ pick up power.
It's large but those littler ones would have to be emptied all the time. This is just as advertised. It is no louder than my regular vacuum cleaner.

I could suck up a pretty major spill if I had too with this.

It is very powerful, sometimes to powerful. It picks up everything, a plus. Some poor design makes it a pain. Wheels stick out and catch on everything in the shop. Follows like a reluctant cat rather than a happy dog. Hose is too short and bends closed at the nozzle when you vacuum close or at the wrong angle. I had to duct tape it to stop it from bending. Hard to empty without using the bag. Bags are costly and if you pick up something by mistake you need to tear the bag open to find it. The hose is very fat and needs a handle to hold. Not too hard to figure out if you use it. Rockler did it, why not shop vac? Would have been nice if they had an automatic rewind for the cord. Also would have been nice to have a brush pickup. I would have paid more if these items were included.

They fall apart when the slightest bit wet or when they get full. Not a good product unless you keep it dry and empty it when it is half full, doubling the cost.
Does a great job in keeping drywall and plaster dust in the bag and my vacuum container clean. Well worth the money and convenience when emptying my vacuum, especially after a remodel project.
These bags are strong! They hold a LOT of debris without shredding, even when picking up sharp objects. I've gotten them wet too (I have a Shop-Vac 90340-00 CleanStream filter in the canister to permit water pickup), and as long as you let it dry out before removing it from the canister, it won't fall apart on you. Even though they are so resilient, they breathe well. They do not strain the machine, even when they are getting full. By the way, I use them in this machine which I also highly recommend: Shop-Vac 925-45-10 10 Gallon Stainless Steel/6.25 HP Contractor Duty Wet/Dry Vacuum.
I use this bag along with the HEPA washable filter and I am amazed how well it works. I use this combination whenever I remove grout. I have been using a Dremal drill to remove old bathroom tile grout and replacing it with fresh clean white grout. It makes the bathroom look brand new like I just retiled. Before using these bags the vacuum blew out very fine dust which landed all over the furniture in the other room. But now, there is no dust at all. It all stays in the bag. Plus, the bag holds a large amount of debris so I can use it for many other jobs before having to replace the bag. If you work around fine dust or have to wear a mask then try these great bags.
I use these along with a HEPA cartridge filter. This is a great combination to eliminate the fine dust health hazard. I use my Shop Vac with my router, biscuit joiner, table saw, and miter saw to collect chips and dust. With this bag the HEPA filter stays very clean and should last a long time.
For dry pick-up only, the Shop-Vac fine dust filter bag is ideal for pick-up of fine dust, like drywall, cement dust and cold ashes. Easy to use, this filter bag features a double-walled design and fits 10-to-14-gallon vacuums. This pack includes two fine dust filter bags.

After replacing this original hoover belt (which fit very tight) it only lasted one month and burned up again.
Thanks to K Crosby. The belt he recommended works perfectly and was easy to install.
I am a janitor, this belt though the book says it is right for it, is too tight as other reviewer said. I use a slightly bigger belt.hoover 38528-008 or unknown brand but number is 5287 3100603 GR .... if you force the smaller belt sold here, it will break sooner and not work better. I learned through trial and error! This is NOT this company's fault at all, a manufacturing mistake I think. I do hours vacuuming at work, and these other belts work fine on this machine.
And then prepare to use your bowling words whilst attempting to install this belt. Installing this belt on a windtunnel upright vacuum is akin to forcing a 500-pound woman into a size two girdle. It can be done but it's going to take of effort and there's going to be some pain involved.

Plus, there's the richocet effect. Heaven forbid if the new belt pops free while you're desperately trying to complete the installation, the force with which the rubber belt recoils could shatter glass, puncture plaster walls and/or shoot out someone's eye.

I rated the belt at five stars, but I wish I could vote on the design (which is poor). It takes a few tools, lots of forearm muscles and the patience of Job to get this belt into place. And buying two at one time isn't a bad idea, if you have the organizational skills to remember where you stored that extra belt, 18 months from now when you need it.

Our vacuum went through a belt about once every two years. If you're not thoughtful and careful with the machine, you'll burn through many more belts than that. The belt is the sacrificial lamb in the whole affair and the belt will burn up before the motor.
