(Works wonderfully.) (Love this machine!) (Brick of Bread) If you are a fan of fine, home baked breads and are in the market for a bread machine, look no further. This machine is fabulous! It has many menu features for perfectly baking a wide variety of breads and a delay timer for bread when you want it. My favorite features are that the bread pan and dough blade can go straight into my dishwasher, the fan keeps the heat evenly distributed for beautifully baked breads, and it features a beep signal at the end of the mixing cycles so you can remove the mixing blade before it bakes. This means you won't have that annoying large gap in the underside of your bread. I absolutely love this machine and recommend it to every bread conniseur. If, however, you are only looking for a bread machine to mix up pizza dough and an occasional loaf of simple bread, I suggest saving some money by purchasing a less expensive model with less bells and whistles. Happy baking! Maybe it doesn't work as well in high altitude (Denver) but I have tried to make an edible loaf of bread out of this thing many times with no success. The loaf is either a brick or raw. Following the recipes exactly or making modifications according to the rather vague high altitude instructions didn't help. Besides, it is not all that hard to bake bread from scratch without a bread maker and you don't have funny shaped loaves with a hole in the bottom of them. This machine makes wonderful gluten free loaves. It does what "they" say it will, of course it's a Cuisinart. That being said, it is larger and less attractive than I would have imagined from a Cuisinart product. I got this for a gift, (my husband got tired of hearing me bang my old machine on the counter to keep it going).I have had zero problems with this machine. The"electric smell" when first started was hardly noticed. It really mixes and kneads completely. I like the "mix-in" reminder, I love being able to take out the paddle before baking the bread. I will try the jams/jelly feature next, I have a lot of hot peppers ready to harvest.I would recommend this machine to my best friend. (Wife of Wrongway ) We purchased this breadmaker after our old one broke. We have had this breadmaker for 2 weeks and I have attempted multiple loaves of bread with no luck. They turn into little hard lumps that do not rise. I have even bought new flour and yeast hoping to resolve the issue but this last loaf is again not as good as our old breadmaker. (Not what I expected) (This is exactly what we needed for our carpet problems) (Great machine) This product is far too complicated for its own good. If all one wants to do is clean a stain, why does one need an intricate set of automatic settings? What's the point? The older SpotCleaner, which Bissell no longer sells, was much easier to use, more portable, less bulky, less costly. Complexity for its own sake is just silly. I really LOVE this machine!! We are trying hard to house train our puppy, but quite frankly we have had a LOT of accidents, and inevitably when he poops in the house it is a rather wet consistency (YUCK!). What AMAZES me most is that, even when I clean the stain thoroughly by hand using traditional foam carpet cleaner and brush it out so it looks fine, the Spot Bot can still get a TON more yucky stuff out of the deep fibers of the rug. Our rugs are less than a year old, yet the dirty water tank pulls out dark brown water even after it looks to the eye like the stain has been thoroughly cleaned up by hand. This means it also gets out ALL the smell and there are no lingering odors. BIGGEST PROS: really deep, deep cleaning; eliminates all lingering odors and leaves fresh smell; incredibly easy and convenient - just set it on the stain and walk away (no elbow grease and you don't have to put on rubber gloves and scrub at nasty smelly poo poo!); this thing really works great! MINOR CONS: the OxyClean stuff can be expensive (I just squirt a little directly on difficult spots before running the machine rather than mixing so much of it into the tank); machine beeps incessantly once cycle finishes to tell you it is done cleaning; leaves a clean wet spot that can take a little while to dry (with area rugs, you can flip rug up so dries faster and doesn't damage hardwood floors underneath). I never ever take the time to write product reviews and am not easily impressed by household appliances. But this little machine works so well that I felt I had to write about it!! I definitely do not see how anyone can survive puppy training without one! I purchased this item after reading all the good reviews. Unfortunately it doesn't do what I expected it to do. I tried to clean the kitchen chairs using the hose and they did become lighter and cleaner, but the stains are still there and they didn't get any cleaner although I used the OXY Gen recommended by Bissell and included in the package. The usual cleaner that I rented from the store did a much better job and left no stains... so at least the hose part of Bissell is not as powerful as I expected. We have an elderly dog who is in his last days and who is having "accidents". We have a puppy who is not quite trained yet. We have a middle-aged dog who, with all this fun going on, has chosen not to remain house-broken. I am VERY squeamish and hate to clean carpets after nasty accidents. Happily, we have a good dog trainer who is helping with the problems that can be helped - but our elderly dog will continue his accidents because he cannot help it at this point. So we have all these carpet spots (of both varieties) to deal with on an ongoing basis... I cannot state strongly enough how much I love this hands-free machine. I clean the worst of it, and the machine does the rest - quite nicely. It runs through its little cycle, and has lights like a dishwasher, letting you know exactly where it is in its cycle. It has worked now dozens and dozens of times. It doesn't fuzz up our carpet, but we have Berber, which might be hard to fuzz up. If it died a premature death I would happily buy it again. This has been a terrific purchase that has helped this unpleasant problem of ours. The only down-side, which is very minor, is that if I don't empty the take-up container, it sloshes around while cleaning and wets the carpet. It gets up the spots that our leaky dog leaves. We had our carpet professionally cleaned a week ago and need something to clean the spots though our next cleaning service appointment. The Blueair 403 unit (at least the one I received) actually has 4 speeds, just like the Blueair 402! Even the manufacturer's own website as of this review lists it as having only 3 speeds. The only difference between the 402 and 403 is that the 403 comes with a small electronic timer that is magnetic (you can put it on your refrigerator or on the Blueair unit itself) which shows you when 6 months are up and it's time to replace the filter. This is handy, but not really needed. So, if you can still find a 402 (now discontinued) for a good price, I'd recommend you grab it! This is a great unit but it is a bit larger than I expected. If you have a small bedroom or office, it may look a bit imposing. It runs very quiet at the two lowest settings and even at the third setting, I found the sound soothing enough to sleep with. In fact, the first night I had it, I put it on the 3 speed setting and found the sound quiet nice and relaxing. It works very well and is more efficient and quieter than smaller units. The design is also more proven; I compared it with a smaller unit (the 250E) and the 403 works a lot better for a number of reasons (better filter, it pre-charges the particles so that they stick to the filter, and has a larger, thicker filter). The 403 also has a deeper, more soothing and relaxing sound than the smaller unit. Because of the design, you can put things like books on top of it if you want to since it takes in and outputs air from the sides. You can also place it against a wall, something you cannot really do with the smaller 250E unit as it has the filter on the back and outputs air out the top. Also, larger units like the 500 series output air out the top (and sides) so you would not be able to put something on top of those either. I'm not saying I would use my Blueair 403 as a bookshelf or anything, just that it can be convenient to place a magazine or book or two on the top surface at times. I will now buy a second 403 unit for my living room because I am so impressed. Having two or more of the same series in different rooms throughout the house seems a benefit as you only have one type of filter to buy for them all. However, if your living room is on the large side, you may need a larger unit (such as the 500 series so check your square footage). All in all, this is a great unit as it performs very well is *very* quiet and well made. I feel I sleep much better with this unit on and also have much less allergy symptoms including less red and itchy eyes. Even if you don't suffer from allergies, you can still benefit from having nice fresh air all the time. My guess is that you will sleep better and feel more rested when you wake up. As for myself, the Blueair has practically been a lifesaver-I feel a lot more healthy and my allergy symptoms are virtually gone! Loud, but not obscenely so. Hard to clean out without the paper filter bags, but can be done (vacuum out with another vac if needed.) Of course, without the bags the filter gets trashed real quick and has to be replaced. Bags are expensive, at about $3.50 each, with shipping, but CONVENIENCE is what a this product is about. On the plus side, is very light and easy to handle. PERFECT for what it's made for, quick light jobs, like a cardiac cleaning with company on the way, or pet hair, debris, etc in corners and along edges of flooring, or a spill. (YES, you'll want to glue the hose connection to the tank.) Only thing I'd like to see included is a long wand for reaching corners, cobwebs, etc, but we use one we have from another vacuum. Filters cost a fortune for this tiny nothing. Mine is about a year old and I think there has been a re-design because some features have changed. The plastic bags came with a new jds vacume system I had been in my shop with a small vac for over 6 years. I deciced to get up to speed with the dust situation when it was clear that I was loosing the war with sawdust. The new jds 1.5 hp system work good for my 16 by 30 foot shop .It went together right out of the box and suck up everything in the shop that wasn't tied down What in the world have I been missing. My shop is clean as can be along with the system I also have a jds air filter the two of them have really made a difference in my shop. Thanks I bought these bags as a replacement bag for the Delta 50-760 dust collector.Delta 50-760 1.5 Horsepower 1,200 CFM Vertical Bag Dust Collector, 120/240-Volt 1 Phase. Although they are a little different in size, they can be made to fit and work just fine. Considering what the Delta bags cost, these are a great find. A couple of points that you'll notice: They're not as thick as the Deltas, but that's not a big deal. They're just a bit shorter, so where Delta suggests using 6" of flap when using the internal attachment ring, use about 3". If you find the bag is not quite sitting on the platform, just stick something under it to take up the space. I haven't found it a problem one way or the other, though. Personally, I'm ordering more bags before JDS figures out what a winner they have. These bags performed great. They are a little short for my Delta 50-760 but the plastic is durable and I never had a problem with tears or breaks.
