『My husband purchased this for me about 4 years ago, and it's still going strong. I've read a lot of the other reviews, and I'll agree with them on many of the negative aspects. Yes, it could be prettier. Yes, it could be lighter in weight than it currently is. Yes, the manufacturer should figure out a way to enable us bugaphobes to get those critters who hide in corners or on curtains more readily. But let me tell you this - I still depend on it, and I still like it!

When I'm home alone, I'm forced to kill my own bugs, and I happily run to get my bug vacuum to do the job. Living in an older home in the woods, you can imagine I get my fair share. Most bugs always end up on the wall where I can readily get them with my vacuum, even if that means being patient for a moment while they move. Granted, there is the occasional stubborn bug that will not budge from the corner, or from the curtain, but I deal with them on a case by case basis. Sometimes just nudging them with the tip of the vacuum will get them on the move to where you want them to be. Hopefully in the future we'll have the perfect model bug vacuum, but until then, this one is pretty terrific!』

『This bug catcher is not very useful. It has very little suction, so many bugs don't get sucked into the tube. Also, the ones that do get sucked into the tube are then sucked against an electrical grid and shocked, which results in the device blowing out air that smells like burned bugs. A small portable vacuum cleaner is more effective and pleasant.』

(Bug Vacuum is worthless)
『This was as surprise. The first hint came when the item was received and it was clear that returning the product was not going to be an option.

This device has almost no suction. You have to knock the bug into the tube and sometimes even push it through the baffle on the end of the tube to get it to fall into the tube. Just putting the end of the tube near the bug does nothing but give the bug the opportunity to fly away.

After a few seconds the noisy fan motor quiets down considerably. That means that the almost minimal vacuum power is reduced even more as the weak battery gives up. The bugs seem to enjoy crawling around on the built-in "high voltage" zapper. It certainly doesn't kill anything.

I have no idea how this product even made it to the market. The concept is great. A small, relatively powerful, rechargeable device which you can grap to suck a bug off the wall or ceiling. The bug vacuum does none of that.Bug Vacuum

(Poor Tesla Video)
『The DVD titled Novus Ordo Seclorum is a very poor tribute to Nikola Tesla.
It is a cartoon fairytale type representation with no reference to Tesla other than one liners coming across the screen stating some statement about Tesla. This video is not a detailed factual story which demonstrates the genius of Tesla. This DVD is not worth purchasing. I would not waste money to purchase this video or DVD since it swindles folks into buying something that they believe has value but this DVD has very little knowledge value on Nikola Tesla.』

『Interesting information about the genius Tesla but I didn't like the pace of the video. I was expecting to watch a documentary with voice over but this one is mostly scrolling text with old videos. Some of the footage used is lame and irrelevant and the soundtrack is annoying. I didn't hate it but I wouldn't recommend it.』

(Better than a Bissell Pro Heat)
『I owned a Bissell Pro-Heat for 8+ years. Once you have any problems with it..it is toast. It will cost you more in repair cost than it is worth. So, once your Pro Heat breaks down go ahead and get one of these Hoover Pro V's. You will notice immediately an improvement in the cleanliness of your carpet. Yeah its made of plastic, but what do expect for about $180. It will pay for itself over time, or you can call a professional and pay more. Just like any thing you have.. take care of it..clean it thoroughly after every use..it will last longer.

Pros:

1.# Cleans better than the Bissell Pro Heat. Cost is about the same
2.) Does not seem to use as much carpet cleaner #which is expensive) as the Bissell.
3.) Better suction than Bissell..carpet will dry faster.
4.) The spinning brushes seem to do better on carpet in general and stains.
5.) One tank for hot water and carpet cleaner and separate tank for dirty water..which I like better over the Bissell.
6.) Easy to clean after use.
7.) Removeable hose caddy. You don't have to carry around what your not using.
8.) Easy to use. Follow instructions carefully for best cleaning results.

Cons:

1.) Heavier/Bulkier than the Bissell Pro Heat.
2.) Made of mostly plastic..but is'nt everything?


This carpet machine should pay for itself over time...when it has a major break down I'll buy another.

They get filthy really quickly with our pets and kids. I decided to get this to do the high traffic areas often and was amazed at how well it cleaned. I am now using it to do entire rooms. It is very easy to use and does a great job! I love this thing, it's fantastic.

『We've never had a carpet cleaner before and at first the directions seemed difficult, since this is not an "auto rinse" unit; this means you have to fiddle with switches for soap dispension, clean water rinse, and water pickup. But, it turned out not to be that difficult to do. Both my husband and I have used this machine, and we are both happy with it. We've used the detergent that came with it, and also some Simple Green. Both worked nicely. Be prepared to empty the dirty water container and refill the clean water container several times for a big room. Again, not a big deal. Loved how dirty the water was that came out of the carpet. Overall, very satisfied with the purchase. It's easy to clean, too. As an aside... I still can't figure out if it heats the water or not. Again, who cares? None of these units really use "steam", despite their names...』

『I have two dogs, one a 14 year old dalmatian with a bad bladder, so keeping the carpet clean is an endless chore in my house. For the past few years I'd just been using spray foam carpet cleaners and I knew they didn't do much. I've hired professional carpet cleaners in the past and twice was very disappointed with the results. One left the carpet completely sopping wet and it took two days to dry and it wasn't even clean - in fact, it looked worse! Another professional cleaner used a chemical "dry" method and the results left much to be desired. I was skeptical about buying a carpet cleaner but was convinced by all the good reviews here. Now that I've tried it out, this thing actually works! The reviews were right.

It shipped fast, was easy to assemble and it's very easy to operate and I'd never used a carpet cleaner before. I was shocked to see how much dirt was in the living room area rug after dumping out the tank. Liquid mud! My daughter's bedroom was even worse, with worn-in old stains, and now the carpet is actually presentable again!

I hope this product is durable because it's going to be put to use in my house!』

I really like and appreciate this because I have birds that throw seeds, feathers, and other particles which land on the keyboard.』

『I and others use this vacuum in our computer repair/maintenance "shop." It has worked wonderfully; I use it to clean out computers, keyboards, and generally around the shop. I have worked on computer for ten years and I should have bought a vacuum years ago. The only minor drawbacks are that it is noisy and it gets hot after a couple minutes of use.』

『I had been looking far and wide for a good small vacuum/blower to clean my computers out and boy does this one fit the bill. The only drawback on this machine is that it heats up pretty quickly. I believe that this was due mostly because of the attachment I used. When you use the smallest/narrowest blower end, it makes it harder on the motor. I have yet to test the suction part of it, but I'd say that if your using it under normal circumstances (without the extreemly narrow ends), that it most likely would not get so hot so fast. I would recomment this product to anyone especially for anyone looking for a good way to clean their computers out. You can't beat the price either, in my humble opinion.』

『I owned an earlier generation Leaf Hog (with plastic impeller) and loved it. By the time it finally broke (motor burned out I think), the leaf collection bag was almost worn through. A real work horse that gave me 4 or 5 years of great service. When it broke I bought a Toro in the same $80-100 price range. Big mistake. Swapping the Toro from blower to mulcher/vac mode was a nightmare. The fittings were so tight that I couldn't get them on/off easily even after trying to sand the mating surface and lube them with silicon spray. Then, after barely a year of use the motor fried. I just got the new LH5000 and it is great to have the old orange workhorse back!! The variable speed mode does come in handy for when you're finishing blowing leaves into a pile. If you have only one speed (high) it's tough to corral(SP?) the last leaves together. Back off the throttle on this one and it's easy to use just the right blow-power to get the leaves into a smaller pile for pickup. The new zipperless bag design works well but although it should last longer it's not easier to use than the zipper version was. That's a trade-off... no zipper to break, but hey.. that zipper was fast and easy. Overall, no regrets.. the new wiggle-action nozzle is actually surprisingly effective too. Great product. (Oh, this one has an alluminum impeller too... not that the plastic one I used before ever broke but this is a nice update to the product!)』

『While I wouldn't want to do an entire yard with this product, it works very well for the use I had in mind. I have a 2 foot wide area circling my house. The front side of the house has plantings and mulch and the back has plantings and rocks. These are the area I wanted to remove the leaves from(I use a lawn tractor for the larger areas). The blower worked well but I found the Vacuum worked better for the planting areas.It sucked up some mulch with the leaves but not too bad. It worked really well in the rock area, leaving the rocks and removing almost every leaf. I had an older unit with a zippered bag and the new Zipperless system is much easier to empty and generally looks like it will last longer than the zipper unit.

For very large areas I'd get a larger gasoline unit, but for this type of job this unit works very well.』

『This garage vac has more than enough power for everyday tasks. I use it to clean my car and truck plus vac up the garage with no problems at all. I love the long hose. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because it's not a wet vac which would make it perfect.』

It's had a workout already, cleaning the garage, vehicles, screened porch, and most recently, demolition debris from a kitchen renovation project that we've just started. Keeping in mind one reviewer's comments that this cannot suck up chunks of wood, I picked up or swept any larger pieces by hand, and let the vacuum handle anything that would fit easily in its hose. Small bits of drywall up to roughly 1" were no problem, wood shavings, sawdust, etc. were easy.

With the unit in the garage (mounted near the entry door) and the hose running into the house, it is quiet; a lot like using a central vac system.

When working in the garage with it, the noise level is still very tolerable. When vacuuming off my workbench I realized that the noise of the air coming into the nozzle was louder than the sound of the vacuum system itself.

With my old Shop Vac, I had to wear hearing protection. Not needed with this vac. I'll keep the shop vac for when I actually need to suck up water -- that's the only thing this unit can't do.

Lots of attachments including a nice wide floor cleaner that is great for getting the finer construction debris and dust, and not filling up the (expensive!) vacuum bags of our regular Miele vacuum.

I agree with the reviewers who stated that the unit gets quite warm. Not a problem in a garage but I might be concerned about installing it in a small closet, for example.

If there is any downside to it, it's cleaning the filter. I've only had to do it once and I got dust all over the place, so I think it's just going to take me some time to figure out the right tricks.

Finally, what a rare pleasure it is to unbox an item that was not made in China. The quality of material is striking, as soon as you start unpacking it.
I'd like to see Amazon tag every item with its primary country of origin. I factor that into my buying decisions whenever possible.』

This tool virtually eliminates struggling with the bagging process. 『I just purchased a second TriVac, this one as a Christmas gift. This is one of the most useful, versatile tools I own. Last Saturday I used it to get up all of the leaves in my backyard. You just blow your leaves into a pile and mulch them up. The TriVac converts from a blower to a vacuum/mulcher just by turning a valve, no attachments to change out like my gas blower/mulcher, which I have not used since getting my TriVac. I don't just use it a couple times a year to get up leaves, it is a very light weight, mobile shop vac. 『This is the gas and odor filter for the IQAir Healthpro PLUS. You can upgrade a HealthPro to a Plus (check IQAir's website for details). I just got the Plus to start with, and my wife and I are glad we spent the extra money upfront.
The filters seem pricey. THEY AREN'T. The filters last a stupefyingly long time. It filters some 200 gases including VOCs. I just used the filter to easily clear the air in minutes after spraying some Bissell carpet cleaner that has a ungodly strong "scent".
An IQAir Healthpro Plus saved my wife and I from suffering while several brush fires over the past few years have lapped at our neighborhood. Before having the IQAir, we both suffered gravely whenever brush fires were anywhere within 50 miles.
After two years of us raving about our IQAir, our next door neighbors (asthma sufferers) sought refuge in our home during the last fire which was a couple miles upwind and within sight of our house. One evening of easy breathing was enough to convince the cheapskates to pony up for an IQAir (and donate to charity their various Honeywell, Hunter and other big-box store joke filters scattered around their house).』

『I bought this vacuum for my granddaughter. She is 3 years old. She has played and played with it without stopping. A greta success!!』

『I bought this for my son, Christmas 2006, since he liked "helping" me clean the house. The back of the vacuum tilts down just like the real thing, so he can "vacuum" under his bed. There is a tiny button near the light that makes very realisitic vacuum humming. My son uses his foot to turn it on and off, in an effort to copy me. I have not had to change the light bulb, and it runs on three AAA batteries. I use rechargeable batteries, but I've only had to replace them once, despite how often my son uses it. I know it's durable because I've caught my son stepping on the handle, when the back was laying flat, and it didn't crack or break. When he is a little older, we will upgrade to the Dirt Devil Toy Vacuum Jr., so he can be responsible for his own room.

『I bought this vacuum three years; and it's still going strong. It is very quiet and powerful. And it has never failed to do the job.』

(Junk, garbage, crap... how else could I describe it?)
『Everything about this vacuum makes me think it's junk. When will these manufacturers learn that consumers are craving a better-made shop vacuum? It is at the point now that I must be careful when I choose to vacuum because this thing just puts me in such a foul mood. It is just such a piece of garbage that I want to drive over it with my truck and then burn what's left.

Like almost every other shop vacuum manufacturer, the friction fit attachments, wand, and hose require Atlas-like strength to stay together. If you dont force them together, they simply come apart at the worst possible moment. Oh, I could count a million times this has happened to me. Recently, my wife was kind enough to clean my shop while I was away. Her first comment was "That shop vac is a real piece of crap. Now I know why it makes you so grumpy!"

Let's not forget the wheels either. Even the wheels are junk. Will these manufacturers ever learn to make a shop vac that can roll over its own power cord? When the wheels hit the cord, the whole unit comes to an abrupt halt; often pulling the hose apart from the wand (see above). Then you have to go back to the vacuum, spin it off the cord, and reassemble any parts that have come off.

The most used but least effective tool on the unit is the floor sweeper. Why oh why do they put the bristle part in front of the vacuum area on this fitting? It just makes the attachment spread the dirt. Honestly now, does this company ever try to use their own product? I doubt it.

The hose on these units are such a joke. Its like pulling a Slinky around the shop. The hoses are cheap and flimsy. Give the hose a slight tug and the shop vac does nothing. Give it a firm tug and it comes racing at you like greased lightning. Look out!

Then there's the filter issue. It clogs too easily. The only time you have real suction is when the filter is first cleaned. Within 5 minutes of use, more than half of the suction power is gone.

And lastly, there is a serious noise issue. A shop vac will make you deaf. The high pitch whine (even with the overpriced "muffler") drives an annoying sound through rooms, up stairs, and into your neighbor's house.

There are no good options for shop vacs. The Ridgid, Craftsman, and Shop Vac units are all the same. Each is junk. Save your money and buy a good quality broom and dust pan. Sweeping is fast, simple, and far less frustrating.

『We got this for our basement and also because my husband does a lot of home building projects and this vacuum has worked very well over the years. For the most part -- it has really stood up under the abuse (though the switch quit working shortly after we got it so the only way to turn it on and off is by plugging it in or unplugging it -- or using a power strip with a switch).

This thing has a LOT of power and will suck up virtually everything in its path -- so be sure you don't aim it at anything you DON'T want to have vacuumed up -- like small pets, clothing, etc.

I gave it 4 stars because of the switch malfunction and I would really like to see more attachments for smaller areas -- but that probably isn't totally fair since it really is intended for large spaces and heavy duty jobs. However, since it is down in the basement and garage area -- it would be great if there were attachments that would be a bit more "car friendly" so that you could get into the nooks and crannies of car interiors better.

All in all, I would definitely buy this again and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to anyone that was thinking about it. We wind up using it far more than I ever thought we would.』

『I purchased the shop vac for use in my aviaries to clean up the cages and floors where the bird cages are and it works great -- I needed a strong--compact--vacuum with a wide hose to pick up bird seed and peanuts, etc. without getting clogged in the vacuum hose. I also wanted the versatility of being able to vacuum up wet and well as dry. I recommend this vac highly.』

『I haven't even tried the product yet, but I can't reccomend it based on the terrible (non-exsistant) packaging. All the parts were literally thrown in a box with no styrofoam, peanuts.....NOTHING. Everything just banged around and scratched everything up. What a shame.』

『Ok folks, I decided to do a review BECAUSE of some of you saying "I wish it had wheels".

You simply do not need them! This vacuum has a very slick bottom surface with curvature much like a boat. You can drag this thing all over your house with little to no resistance - whether it's on carpet, linoleum, wood, or tile. Of course you'll scratch up the bottom if you drag it on concrete, but this vacuum isn't designed for tough duty outside jobs.

I've used this vacuum for over 6 months and I vacuum my entire house with it. I am totally satisfied. I originally bought it as a temporary substitute while shopping for "normal" house vacuums. However, due to all the bad ratings, I gave up on my search. That's fine because I'm happy with this little sucker. (I also have a 14 gallon wet-vac for the garage)

So really folks, you truly don't need any wheels. Besides, all they'll do is get hung up on corners when you pull it around the house or make this vacuum tip over easily by changing it's center of gravity.

As a last note, I agree with some that the tool holding capability is lacking. The wall bracket is nice but they could have done a much better job with tool accommodations. I can deal with this oversight. Overall, I find this to be a very handy tool at a reasonable price.

『If you are buying something to save you hours of scrubbing because you have just moved into a new apartment to find the previous tenants forgot to mop the floors for a year OR you have procrastinated soooo long about mopping that you need a maid on steriods carting a commercial steam cleaner, then you will be majorly disappointed!! ON THE OTHER HAND - IF you start with a "semi" clean floor and plan to use this "semi" often to maintain said "semi" cleanliness, then this is for you.

Some of the reviewers seem disappointed due to seemingly unrealistic expectations but in my opinion, it's a great deal for the money... No operational problems, either: no leaks from the water storage; the water jets function fine; it holds a charge; it's durable; it's lightweight; the cleaning pads are machine washable and the vacuum sucks - just like it should !!

I would've rated this product 5 stars if a seriously buff Mr. Clean climbed out of the box and mopped my kitchen floor for me while I watched OR if they threw in a few more cleaning pads ;)- Good Luck!!!』

DOWN TO ONLY 1 STAR - PIECE OF JUNK .... BUT THE BATTERY LIFE SEEMS FINE. It just has so little suction and the wet pad idea is just a dirty mess maker. I use it for light (I mean really light) dust-busting, but it is not shaped or designed for just that, so I can't even use it as an effective dust-buster except for a few spots around the house.


DO NOT RECOMMEND.


I was pleased with the quick light cleaning at first. However over time, it really turned out to be much less useful than I first thought.

The suction is terrible and the cleaning pads are a mess. Taking off the dirty ones, washing and replacing makes the whole thing problematic.

The pads are attached with velcro and stretch and wear poorly when washed. Thus they do not fit that well once used and washed several times, and the velcro has it's own typical loss of adhesion after constant use.

THUMBS DOWN in the long run.』

『I bought this vac for $18 because I wanted something I could vacuum up the litter my cats track all through my house. I have 4 cats and nice new blonde laminate flooring. Every speck of dirt shows up on my floors and my cats kick litter out of the box and then walk it all through the house. I used to keep my big Hoover vac out all the time to pick up the litter but I felt gross about using the same vacuum on my carpets. So my mom gave me her Eureka vacuum to use but that just blew the litter all through the house. So I saw this product and decided to buy it. This vacuum ROCKS! It picks up everything the first time! It is a small vac so it's not going to pick up bigger items but it definitely can pick up dust bunnies and litter and dirt and all that. Plus the pad picks up stuff too. I used the mop for the first time today and I liked that too. The charge lasts a long time too, I charge it every couple days and everything works great. Also, since it is small it doesn't look so obtrusive to keep out like my big hoover does. There are really only 2 things I don't like: one is that the light that comes on when you charge it is really really bright. Like blindingly bright. But I just face the vacuum so the light faces the wall and everything is fine. Also, you have to put a clean pad on if you're going to mop or you'll make your floor dirtier than they were. I feel like my pads are always dirty and I never have a clean one on hand. I've seen that you can buy some extra ones for like $15 or something so I might do that. But what I do like about the pads is they are washable so I'm paying for pads I can keep and wash over and over again rather than throw away and have to keep buying them like the swiffer wet jet. Also, you can use any solution, you don't have to buy the expensive stuff, you can ever put just soap and water in there. So I feel like Bissell has made a great, quality product that is green because you don't have to keep throwing pads away and it's bagless!! Great job!!!』

『I would like to state first that the Bissell solution that comes with it smells like a gingerly frolic through a citrus orchard, but works like grandmas old school mop that leaves streaks and spots. That out of the way, this product is AWESOME. We have wood floors and tile floors and this thing works "GRRRRRRRRRRREAT!" (that's a quote from Tony the Tiger) We have two toddlers that throw their food on the ground when they are done eating. This vacuums up on one side and then mops it up on the other. I have found that the 4 dollar gallon sized hard floor cleaning solution from Sam's Club (Proforce brand and pink in color) is the best solution ever. I use 1 teaspoon (not table spoon) per filling of the container and it dries fast with no streaks.

On another note the thing holds a good charge as we leave it off the charger for days at a time and it still works. You can't vacuum and spray solution at the same time, but who would?????

The unit is durable, one of our toddlers knocked it over 5 times a day for almost a year before it got a leak in the tank. I called them and it only cost 3 or 4 dollars to get a new tank. They sent a new one fast and were courteous.

My wife wanted to add the following:

Don't let your toddler play with it.

    (A hodge-podge of author's flea market purchases and vintage magazine ads)
    『This is a hodge-podge of predominately copies of vintage magazine ads. The theoretical treatise is limited to the first 18 pages and even that is at a very basic level. The book is overambitious in trying to cover BOTH tube testers and other instruments, and does neither well.

    It is far from clear who is it aimed for. It certainly isn't useful to engineers and experts in the field, since it does not go deep enough into problematic issues of tube testers, while it is not comprehensive enough for an average user (guitar player, audiophile or tube trader) and does not mention utilitarian aspects of tube tester those readers would be interested in.

    I will not even start describing the book's lacking regarding other test gear, which is so superficially covered. Out of the slim 166 printed pages 15 are completely blank and 30 or so are full page reproductions of old ads, which leaves us with around 121 pages, and even those are sparsely "populated" and mostly magazine ads and photographs, very, very few circuit diagrams (seemingly randomly selected instead of their inclusion to illustrate a concept or prove a point) and less explanations of how those sometimes confusing circuits work.

    Of course, had the quality been better one wouldn't complain about this quantitative issues. Apart from the coverage issues, the book also fails from a methodological point of view. Organizing the book along the manufacturers sections is the easiest way out, but a chronological (developments along a time-scale) or even complexity based progression (from simplest to the most complex tube testers) would have been more educational. In summary, there is nothing in this book that cannot be found by google-ing around, although as a starting point it may serve some purpose, therefore two stars from me for Alan's effort. Other "experts" didn't even get that far!』

    This book imparts a"WEALTH OF KNOWLEDGE"to the reader about Classic Vacuum Tube Testers and Test Equipment. However it is NOT a"review"of tube testers or test equipment on a"which one is better"or"what is the BEST"type of basis. Rather, it is a careful examination and explanation of the"method of operation"as well as the"inherent limitations"for a multitude of vacuum tube testers and test equipment.     『10 hour shifts often run into 12, 14,&16 hours. Imagine going to a cafe every couple of hours. $3+change into the tip jar rounds up to $4 a cup. 5 trips to Starbucks&I'm spending $20 a day. With 5 work days, you'll save $100 a week by bringing your own coffee in this big Thermos. If you only save $10 a day, you'll be saving enough for a car payment each month. I pack my lunch every day into a bunch of Thermos food jars that I cram into a tool box. The economy is bad. Get a big Thermos. This is old school. For those of you lucky enough to have inherited one, you can testify to how good they are. For those of you just buying one, you'll leave it to someone in your will.

    Just something to keep in mind: coffee from a machine (Mr. Coffee) is not boiling hot. So when you start out with something that isn't hot, you'll end up with something that is just a few degrees above lukewarm at best. When I brew the coffee on my stove top with a percolator, that coffee is boiling hot going into the Thermos and is still very hot when I reach for it hours later. If you have to use a machine, transfer the finished product to a pot&bring it to boil before bottling. You'll notice a huge difference.

    『I own both the Thermos Nissan 61 oz silver/black one and this Stanley brushed classic 2 qt. Fill them both with boiling hot water to the top and close for overnight. The next morning, the Stanley will be hot but barely enough to make a batch of tea which you can begin to sip immediately. The Nissan will literally burn your lips hot. ( Also have the Rugged 1 qt Stanley bottle but due to its smaller volume, it loses heat even faster ) I think the major problem is the head/neck which you can feel the heat with the bottle closed. For about the ten dollar difference, go for the Nissan over the Stanley.』

I made some coffee and put it in this thermos (after adding boiling water for 5 min and removing) and my coffee stayed warm for the 12 hours I needed it. It probably would have gone longer but I did not need it longer. And it keeps doing this over and over every time I use it. Highly recommended.

    Also for the food jar thermos, it is also very amazing. I put some soup in there and it stayed very hot (also after adding boiling water for 5 min and removing) for 6 hours. Then i ate it all and did not really test or have to test it out for longer. Also highly recommended.』

    『Before I made my purchase, I read the reviews for the Stanley bottle I wanted. There were good reviews buzzing about and there were bad reviews loitering around. The ratio of good reviews to bad ones was about 6:1. Which, with to my standards, helped uplift my consumer confidence. So i clicked and it came on the following Monday.
    Not to be someone who throws bad reviews around to conjure misery, but some things must be said:
    The good
    1. The mighty bolt will hold 1.1 quarts of coffee.
    2. It looks cool, I guess.
    The bad
    1. The temperature of your coffee will diminish in mere hours. Say you store a cup of 200 degree Fahrenheit coffee. In about an two hours, it will be half that at best.
    2. It's big and bulky-- not recommended for people who already have big items in their bag.

    For those of you who enjoy lukewarm to cold coffee. Go ahead, get it.』

    (Steaming hot soup!)
    『I bought the Bolt to take to work with me and use it to hold soup. I love that it's large enough to hold a large can of soup so there are no leftover bits of soup in the fridge. It is a little heavy, but seems very well-made and like it will last for years and years. I leave my house around 8am and generally eat around 12:30pm. As long as you warm the Bolt up for 5 minutes (per the instructions) with boiling water and then put in your hot soup, it will stay steaming hot til lunchtime, and even when I've emptied it out at night, when I didn't eat the soup, it is still warm (definitely above room temp) at 6pm when I get home. I'm not sure I would buy this for cold beverages, because it did say in the instructions that it is not to be used with carbonated beverages (soda). For anyone that's looking for a hot lunch - this is an excellent product!』

    『This review only applies to the 20oz bolt food jar. Amazon lumps all the bolts under one review section, so it is confusing. The commuter cup is lined with plastic and is a lousy and doesn't work well. I love the food jar thermos however, particularly in the summer, keeps ice cubes really well when the beverage is cold. If there's cold water and ice cubes, you can have it sit without the lid and the ice cubes are intact for several hours. As far as leaking goes, I did have leaks if it gets inverted and if the lid is not screwed on super tight, so not perfect for all occasions. Have to screw it really tight, if you do, generally it doesn't leak. I use it to be green so I can pack water and not pollute the environment with plastic bottles. It's highly recommended for keeping cold liquids cold and hot ones hot. Worked very well with hot soups also.』
