The Jiffy Esteam is the first steamer I've ever purchased. Compared to the many positive reviews, I found its performance inadequate. There is no on/off switch or steam strength option. I wanted to use the steamer for removing wrinkles in summer cotton, cotton blend, and linen shirts. I tried it on each type of shirt, hanging them in a doorway so as to be able to steam from all sides and angles. The steamer emitted a lethargic, wispy flow of steam, although the water was boiling at a furious pace. After about 25 minutes of 'steaming', the shirts were still too wrinkled to wear and my arm muscles were exhausted.

For comparison, I tried a trick I learned when I needed to quickly remove wrinkles from a canvas-covered free-standing clothes rack. Pulling out my old trusty steam iron, I cranked it up to the highest setting for each fabric and turned it to full steam. Then, using the "blast of steam" option on the iron, puffed steam through the shirts in the same manner a steamer is used. Lo and behold, the steam iron used this way worked very well. If the blast of steam lessened, I just put down the iron for 5-10 seconds and it was ready to go again. Each shirt looked 100% better! Plus, since I steamed the shirts near my kitchen island, I could throw a clean towel down on the island, and instantly touch-up a crease - no ironing board needed!

Although I'm now disappointed in steamers, I'm happy to know that the iron I already own does a better job for me.
Recommended: Just took steamer to Las Vegas for a wedding and it did an amazing job on wedding dress and other clothes for the wedding!!!! Everyone that travels needs this product.
I always ironed my pants and thought that after steaming them, they would look nicer. Steaming them with this product, did not get rid of the wrinkles in my pants. When I put my pants on after steaming them, the wrinkles were even worse than ironing them. It also took forever to seam a pair of pants.
Not much use without special surface against which you can steam your stuff. I used my door, and results are so so.

I find that the charge runs out sooner that expected and then blowing power is reduced. Works great for small 10 minute jobs.
The black&Decker elec broom is jst that. It,s fine for blowing dry grass and leaves off of hard surfaces. It was not designed as a yard leaf blower. If that,s what you need look elseware
Love the cordless! So much more convenient, I find myself cleaning off the patio more often. Great for cleaning up hard surfaces, but probably not enough power for the leaves in flower beds. We have a more powerful electric blower for the big jobs, but this is great for just cleaning up after mowing, or blowing off the patio when we're getting ready to barbeque. So nice not to have to haul around the big one and deal with the cord, and it's light weight enough that you can even put the kids to work (good luck with that). The battery doesn't have a terribly long life, so you do have to work fairly quickly if you're going all the way around the house after mowing.

Good product for the price; works great for what we had in mind; just make sure you charge the battery after each use.
I got tired of sweeping and/or washing our large concrete patio, driveway and garage floor, so decided to try the B&D 18V battery powered sweeper. This thing works great!! I takes me about 10 to 15 minutes to do what used to take about an hour. Yes, the battery does wear down in 10-15 minutes, but so what, I just ordered an extra battery and now have plenty of juice to do it all. I hear others complain about battery life but can't rate that yet as the sweeper is only a month old. So far I love it!!
I wanted to wait till I used this product for the first time. I just love it. It is wonderful to blow off my patio, driveway, and front sidewalk without pulling a cord around. It worked really well and I had the pinwheels and stems from my maple trees plus grass clippings all over. There was plenty of battery power so I won't have to order another battery, I wasn't sure how long the battery would last but there was no problem. I know that I will be cleaning my areas more often now since I don't have to haul a cord around. I would recommend this product to anyone.

Vacuums Unlimited has excellent service. I inadvertently order the wrong style bags and they exchanged them immediately and paid for the postage of the returned bags. The bags are better than the original bags that came with the vacuum. I highly recommend this product and company.
I am fairly happy with the Eureka but one of its downfalls is that the bags are not in that many stores. This seems like a great deal having seen the price of bags for other models in the stores.

Love it Love it Love it. I seem to be the only one however. I saw them live and they rocked then too. If you have a chance I suggest catching their show. But in the absence of the real thing this CD is a great sub.
If your like me and the thought of 3 hot japanese girls rocking you so hard its like being drop kicked in the face and landing in a pile of broken glass then rocking you so hard you randomly punch someone in the face then RBV is a must! This is one of the loudest albums I've ever heard! Full of nonstop energy and catchy songs. The first two songs-Roller Coaster and Nightmare-are pure hard unrelenting rock! The next two (my favorites)-I'm just a beat girl and Gimme Culture-are fast catchy punk songs that are impossible not to sing along with! Now before you say to yourself, "Yeah Panda your the man and anything you say is obviously fact. I'm going to buy this album right now!" let me warn you this album is not for everyone. There is heavy distortion on this album, much like a Guitar Wolf cd, that is usually love/hate for most people. I love it, I think it works great on this album. If your looking for japanese hard girl rock with out the distortion look for RBV's first album "Killer Dust" although its hard to find.

I find this album to be unlistenable simply because the sound is so horribly distorted. This 3-girl Japanese intense punk band is promoted as a "loud punk rock band," so if "loud" means "distorted" to you, you might like this, but I prefer my loud music to be clear.

The Maglite Mini Flashlight is waterproof / water resistant, portable, and has an extremely durable exterior. If used with an LED flashlight bulb, the Maglite Mini Flashlight is an extremely bright and reliable light source that consumes very little battery power. It just doesn't get any better than this!

Great little flashlight. Good weight to it. Fits in glove compartment, tool box, kitchen drawer. Purchased one for everyone in my family. They were, "that's nice", until they needed some light. All are very happy they have it.
I have had several of these for many years. Good for finding a keyhole. Have now discovered the 3 AA LED Mag. Major improvement, a REAL light up the night instrument! For twice the cost, it is 5 times the light. Pass on the 2 AA, move up to the 3 AA LED!
I bought this flashlight after seeing all the advertising for Maglite. What a disappointment! It is small and puts out maybe 20 lumens of light, if that. The lumens are so low that Maglite never even lists the lumens on any of its products, unlike its competitors.

This thing might make a decent booklight but that is not what I bought it for. For the same price at this over-hyped, underperformer I could get a flashlight 5x as powerful!

I have owned this for about two years now and except for the crappy on/off switch (which I had to replace with one from Radio Shack) it's been excellent. I use it all the time here in my automotive shop. It's got lots of suction, holds lots of dirt in between emptying, no bags required, and comes with tools and a really long hose. All my customers want one for their garages!
this GUV is so much easier than a regular shop vac...........plenty of power, nice long hose and just the attachments you'll need
This unit comes ready to go. Find a spot on a wall within 5' of an electrical outlet, mount the hanging bracket, hang the vac and start cleaning!! This is what I would call a light duty unit. You can vacuum the car or other vehicle. It will clean up small debris from the floors. It is not intended to vacuum water or other liquids. It has a 1 1/2" hose so, big items won't fit. Otherwise, this unit has plenty of vacuum at the end of the 30' hose along with attachments to help guide it. For small to medium messes in the garage or vehicle, this is your vac.
I bought one of these a while back and was unhappy with it for the following reasons;
extremely loud
motor ran very hot
in removing the filter element dust and debris flew all over the place.....
When it fell over recently, the motor shrieked and smelled like it was burning(wasn't much of a fall either)upon inspection I found that the rotor was shorting out against the stator because the form used to hold the assembly together was all plastic, so a simple fall of the vacuum snapped the mounting points for the screws.....sorry, but when you're running that much current through a motor it should be able to sustain a small impact. Thumbs down, hoover.
I really like my new Hoover GUV. Excellent suction, long hose makes easy clean up anywhere in my shop. It is easy to dump. The top does get warm if ran for awile. I would not put anything flammable or that could melt on top of the unit while using it (It will keep a cup of coffee hot :-). The GUV is much quieter than most shop vacs. I had a Fein Turbo II a few years ago, sound level similar. The Hoover GUV was less than 1/2 the price of my Fein. The GUV comes with a good selection of hand Accessories; but I do find the wands a little flimsy. This is NOT a wet vac! Avoid fluids, the canister is coated steel, but would not like getting wet. I would strongly recommend this product for cleaning vehicles, or to clean up wood /fiberglass shops. Would make a good job site vac for saw dust&drywall dust. Comes with a life time filter (I hope that's the case.). I was spending $ 20.00 quarterly on filters for my Ridgid vac (my Ridgid vac is much much louder&does not have as good of suction). Hoover has a great product here. They should come out of the closet about it and advertise / support it better.

Bona floor cleaner is an excellent cleaner. I have Australian Cyprus wood floors and when I clean my floors they come out shining and beautiful. I will continue to use BOna floor cleaner
It does clean well, but it leaves a noticeable film after it dries. The only way to restore even a semi-sheen is to use the polish which involves removing furniture, and staying off from the area for at least 8 hours. Their commercials claim that the cleaner doesn't leave a film, and that's just not the case. I was very disappointed.

I have a film on my hardwood. This product did well, but hopefully after prolonged use it will improve the shine. I was expecting it to work the first time, but there is still a film.

I recently purchased the Mighty-Mite Canister Vacuum online, based on the Amazon reviews, and because the reviews also noted that the bags were hard to find locally (thank you, reviewers!) I ordered extra generic bags online as well, from a different seller from whom I was also buying Shop-Vac filters. I'm very happy with the vacuum, and the bags seem to be doing their job well. They seem roomier than I expected for such a small vacuum, and are so easy to change, probably even the dog could do it (hmmm, how trainable are labs?...). We have a lot of dog/cat hair to contend with, so those features are important. They also seem to be good as far as allergies are concerned. I'm very pleased with the product.
I couldn't find MM bags in any stores around my house and I was thrilled when I found them on Amazon. And you get 9 bags for the price of 3 original ones! Great product, can't tell the difference between these and original Eureka bags!

Great replacement for the Roomba battery, last longer than original and fits just like the original.
For the past few weeks we have been running the Roomba as it were out of the box. One comment about this product, is that it is not the same as pictured here. The picture for this item is the OEM one, but the product we received is clearly an unmarked (no Roomba logo), aftermarket battery, with regular Phillips screws on the case (as opposed to the triangular shapped ones from the OEM). Regardless, the Roomba functions just fine with it.
The battery only stays charged for about an hour. Not sure if that's normal considering my old one died a quick death.
Bought a refurbished roomba for 50 bucks, only thing wrong was a dead battery, bought one of these babies and it works like charm, definitely recommend.
The battery, when properly fully deep cycle charged, powers my Roomba for a good hour, just "like new" again. It never ceases to amaze me how much debris this robot vacuum can pull out of my carpet! I just like watching it do it's thing and it still makes you almost want to chuckle when it's finished and parks itself, finishing with it's trademark "ta da da da!"

I (as I'm sure several others) bought this with the mindset that my days of shelling out cash on a consistent basis for keyboard air-clearners were soon numbered. Sadly, it appears that I was a tad too hasty in my assumptions. For one, let me just start off by stating that the features the Connectland USB Mini Vacuum harness are fairly neat for the most part. It contains a retractable USB cablewheel, retractable brush, led-light mechanic (to help easier locate dust on the keyboard/notebook) and turbo mode switch (for higher vacuum efficiency). The problem here is that all of these gadgets are pretty much wasted on a useless vacuum (the core for using the entire thing).

The vacuum hardly picks up any dust at all. Even in turbo-mode (which you must have it's button pressed down the entire time during use) the vacuum appeared to excrete more air than it should have absorbed dust. I actually experimented the vacuum on a tiny strand of hair (on a flat surface) and it could hardly even pick it up. When the retractable brush is doing a more robust job of removing dust from the keyboard than the actual vacuum itself, then you know there are definitely some issues.

In summation, the Connectland USB Mini Vacuum could have been an instant recommendation at it's price (with it's nifty features). However, since it's vacuum hardly picks up any dust at all, I'd suggest skipping over this one and simply invest in a keyboard air-cleaner instead (or continue searching for a better mini vacuum). Since this just didn't cut it.

The Allsop cleaner is one of those electronic disc toys that you just might need. Basically it fine tunes your CD/DVD player in many ways with twenty-one different checks.

*The first part of the disc is simply an introduction to what the disc is capable of doing.
*The second section if the actual cleaning part where eight tiny brushes remove lint, hair, grease and debris from your lens head. Think of your lens as a flashlight. It removes all of the garbage to give a clean reading of your disc.
*Third is the basic sound check for your system.
*Then number four verifies your speaker locations.
*The fifth task informs you of `in-phase' speakers, basically telling you if your speakers are pushing or pulling in unison. This is critical for perfect sound.
*Number six looks for `system purity'. In other words, any pops, hissing or static is found and lets you know what speakers need to be checked for correct connections.
*The seventh task checks maximum fidelity by using `pink noise' to equalize your speakers.
*Task eight checks your tweeters, mid-range and bass sounds.
*Number nine checks your `highs' and `lows' for each speaker.
*Number ten verifies your stereo maximization for stereo sound.
*Eleven is the Dolby Pro-Logic surround sound test to make sure you complete system sounds like a theater production.
*Twelve checks all speakers and wires for proper connection.
*Thirteen is a system balance test with static noise.
*Fourteen is a volume test for each speaker for equal balance so no speaker out-sounds any other.
*Fifteen is the `sound imaging spectral balance test' which is simply the total balance for sound of your system.
*Sixteen will verify if the sounds on your music or movie DVD sound correctly, like a plane moving across your screen from left to right or a bullet flying from the front to the rear speakers.
*Seventeen is for `system clarity' that pinpoints errant noises in your speakers that can be fixed for clarity.
*Eighteen challenges all speakers for tweeter, mid-range and bass for a balanced sound.
*Nineteen is called the `rattle test' which checks `rattles' or physical problem within your speakers like loose wires, loose screws or speakers.
*Twenty is the `Dynamic import test' which checks responsiveness in all speakers.
*Twenty-one will verify your systems complete balance with a sound effect composite with special effects, so you know your system is at its peak.

This check takes about half an hour, but it is well worth your time for your surround or stereo system. I tried it in my Sony surround system which plays everything and in my cars Alpine system. It helped in both. One thing I was surprise about is some of my DVD-Audio discs were skipping, which told me I needed to clean the surface of the discs and now they play perfectly. Your lens is very delicate and this disc is the cure-all for everything that can be fixed on your system. It is a great investment.

I bought this to clean a very damaged CD player. Loaned my cd player to a friend who basically destroyed it. Allsop saved the day, my cd plays like new. Moral of the story, do not lend your music player to friends.
Can't say much about this item. My DVD player wouldn't even load it. Either the cleaner is useless or my DVD player is too far gone! =(
This disk has tiny, tiny little brushes on it. It didn't seem to do anything for my DVD player.
My DVD player works better with this lens cleaner. There's definitely less skipping when watching a DVD.

When I ordered my Panasonic KX-FG2451 it was offered with a replacement film. I never tried the replacement film until I needed well when I went to install the film I realized it was the wrong one. I tried to contact AMAZON which is almost impossible only to be given a lame excuse that it has been over 90 days and they will not refund it. Which I think is horrible customer service.

If I could have bought this at office depot I would not have made this purchase.

The troubles with cell phones not working after the terrorist attacks in 2001 and the power blackout in 2003 made clear the advantage of a corded land-line telephone in emergencies. There have also been repeated problems with expensive combination telephone/answering machines where one stops working so the whole thing has to be replaced. The frequent and annoying static on various cordless telephones was the last straw so I ordered this telephone over four years ago and have really enjoyed using it.

The backlit dial pad is nice and the easy access to controls for ring and handset volume is great. I don't use the memory dial or emergency buttons but they could be useful if someone has trouble dialing numbers or uses a calling card for long distance. You don't need any instructions to use the basic features, just plug it in, lift off the base and dial, which is a nice change from fancy electronics that take an hour to set up. The handset itself is well-balanced and feels substantial in the hand without being too heavy. The buttons have the right amount of "give".

Overall, this is a nice little telephone, simple and reliable.

I was thrilled to find this phone. I have two AT&T 210 Trimline corded phones which were bought back in the 1980's and they still work fine. My new phone that I just purchased is exactly the same; same sound quality, the only difference I noticed is it is a bit lighter in weight. But that is not a problem. I am very happy with my purchase. I wish it came in more colors like red, or green. The only colors offered were black or white. This phone has the versatility of either being a desk phone or a wall phone. That's nice too. It was a good price too of $10 for the phone and shipping. I give it five stars.
After connecting this phone, I've never had to fiddle with it ever again. It's been working perfectly since purchasing it. It's clear and definitely the most reliable phone in my household.

I have 2 cordless phones in my home as well and run into the typical issues with reception or drained batteries. It's nice to have a phone you can rely on no matter what.

I bought a lot of these (they are so cheap!) because I was moving and had to fit everything in my sedan. I fit a huge number of clothes, two comforters and several pillows in the trunk of my car easily because of the space bags! Some of them puffed up a little (one puffed up a lot) so I don't know how great they would be for storage. Also, I read a lot of reviews that said they tore or broke so I was careful and gentle with them and had no such problems.
My Space Bags came in yesterday. I couldn't wait to try them. The first one amazed me with how flat it became. However, the next two I tried doing both ripped!!!!! Then this morning the one that worked last night has puffed back up. I am extremely disappointed!!!!!

I was hesitant to order coffee online, but this Joe's Coffee is very fresh. You can see the bean oils in the bag. Very impressed. You get a whole pound, when was the last time you saw an actual pound of coffee? Sumatran Mandheling is a very thick cup of coffee. My favorite.

Being a grandmother of six, I have seen and bought lots of toys for the grandchildren. TJ Bearytales and all the story cartridges are worth every penny! Thank goodness for internet shopping as most cannot be found in stores now! Absolutely one of my favorite gifts for the kiddies!!
My daughter loves the TJ tales and now that she is comfortable with his movement (couldnt' stand it the first 6 months she had it) she loves his stories. It's easier at bed time. The vacuum attachment is pretty lame, but the story helps teach about cleanliness.
My son who just turned 6 put TJ away for a while but has lately enjoyed reading the books with the bear after school. I bought a few more titles lately, including My Big Mess. This toy is exactly like the others - 3 lights requiring 3 AAA batteries. There is a movable roller at the end, but it is mechanical and does not move during the story. The vaccum does not make sounds, but there are sounds added from the cassette when the vacuum is supposed to be operational. I find this lame for a vaccum. I think the lights make more sense for the other toys and would skip this unless it is for a much younger child.
My boys (1 and 2) love TJ Bearytales and listen to his stories almost every night after lights out. We have 3 stories so far and will definitely buy more to expand our collection. The bear's animation is amazing and the controls are easy for even our 1 yr. old. Some story books come with props (like a flashlight) the bear holds and activates during the story. This is an awesome toy that keeps the art of storytelling alive for children! HIGHLY recommended!

Our 15-month-old loves this toy. For months he has been somewhat obsessed with the "big" vacuum, insisting either on being held up so he can grab the handle and "vacuum" (all the while making the most adorable little vacuum noise!), or on my pushing around the vacuum while I make the noise. This can be a bit fatiguing, so we were thrilled to find a toy vacuum that actually makes the right sound. Another plus is that there is a volume switch on the back, or you can shut it off altogether. The educational value is nil, and the ABC and other song option are downright annoying, as is the *Giggle Giggle* Let's Play! that sounds every time you turn the thing on, but you can minimize your exposure to this by just leaving it on and in vacuum mode all the time. Our son also loves the "doink" sound made by the "height-adjustment" knob. We have had no issues with the height of the vacuum itself- it is plenty tall for our son, who is above average height for his age.
Many reviews have mentioned the handle not locking into an upright position. I noticed this as well when my 1-year-old got it for her birthday, and I thought it was broken or defective.

So, being the fix-it person that I am, I took it all apart and discovered that the little molded plastic bits on the inside of the wheel openings are too big. It appears that it was designed to lock into a stand, but they didn't measure it quite right. So if you're adventurous, find a way to shave off about 1/8" of plastic from the rounded edge to make it flat and voila, it stands up!

My daughter has been enjoying this toy so far, she especially likes the spinning part in the middle but since she's still a bit wobbly with the walking she's not quite ready to go across the floor with it.
I paid $[...] at Wal Mart and returned it a couple days later. My average size 2 1/2 yr old son had to bend way over to push it and if he let go to look at something it would "thunk" back to the ground. It was supposed to replace our many years old Dirt Devil vacuum that had it's handle broken off. Even with out the handle on the Dirt Devil, the Laugh and Learn vacuum was STILL shorter!!! Being a massage therapist I just couldn't watch my son walking around all hunched over trying to play with it.
Got this for our 11 month old grandson for Christmas and he LOVES it. It plays a song, We're gonna clean the house today" and as soon as he hears the song he starts dancing. If the song plays 5 times in a row he dances every time. I really LOVES it. It is just the right size for a one year old.
Our granddaughter was afraid of the big vacuum. Now, she follows mom around the house "vacuuming" and then her vacuum is parked right beside mom's. Perfect size for 18 month old.

Our kids (boy 9, girl 8) love the Kirby DS games but ever since this doll arrived they have played with it rather than with their DS. I struggle to get my kids away from electronic games and this toy has been a godsend (that's why I gave it a high educational rating!).

This doll has exceeded even our most optimistic expectations. It has even made our kids the center of attention in their school!
For Starters, I didn't order the kirby for me. It was for my sister who has a hugh fixation for kirby since it came out on the NES. So I saw this as a great Christmas chance to get it. One Problem that I found it was slightly expensive for a stuff doll. But you'll surly get your bang for your buck. This kirby is strongly made. No loose strings and everything. It was at a very nice size and it can stand up on it own. To make things even better, the company who distriputed the kirby got it to me in record time. So this kirby is really worth the price.

I purchased the pump for a vacuum bag operation. It is working well with no problems even though the frame in the vacuum press system has leaks! The pump arrived ready for use and started immediately once the oil (included) was added ... no mess, no fuss.

I tapped the handle exhaust to accept a 1/2" NPT fitting so that I can direct the oil mist (caused by leaking vacuum frame) to an outside area (used a 1/2" air hose) until the frame is fixed. Works excellent!
We use the Robinair 15600 to apply a vacuum to our 1' sq vacuum chamber used for silicone moldmaking and resin casting business. This is a solid pump and has held up well with daily use.

The 6 CFM capacity was the real selling point, as time is important due to the short work cycle of the materials we use. This pump gets us down to 28.5" in a hurry!

Highly recommended!
I bought 15600 pump here on Amazon. I haven't even used it yet and it leaked oil all over the floor. It appears the shaft seal is defective. BE VERY AWARE! Robinair WILL NOT cover the one year warranty if you bought it on Amazon. If you already bought one here, cross you fingers. I will never buy something like this again on Amazon. Sorry...
If you've got more than one car that needs AC service, you need this pump. With some knowledge in automotive AC and a good guage/hose set you'll be able to evacuate, confirm vacuum and recharge the AC system. Amazon's price for this pump is a really good deal and it performs quite well. I was able to maintain a vacuum of 3 bars for hours. Save youself a load of cash by doing the labor and ride in comfort.

I would like to state first that the Bissell solution that comes with it smells like a gingerly frolic through a citrus orchard, but works like grandmas old school mop that leaves streaks and spots. That out of the way, this product is AWESOME. We have wood floors and tile floors and this thing works "GRRRRRRRRRRREAT!" (that's a quote from Tony the Tiger) We have two toddlers that throw their food on the ground when they are done eating. This vacuums up on one side and then mops it up on the other. I have found that the 4 dollar gallon sized hard floor cleaning solution from Sam's Club (Proforce brand and pink in color) is the best solution ever. I use 1 teaspoon (not table spoon) per filling of the container and it dries fast with no streaks.

On another note the thing holds a good charge as we leave it off the charger for days at a time and it still works. You can't vacuum and spray solution at the same time, but who would?????

The unit is durable, one of our toddlers knocked it over 5 times a day for almost a year before it got a leak in the tank. I called them and it only cost 3 or 4 dollars to get a new tank. They sent a new one fast and were courteous.

This product has made our life easier. One item to both vacuum and mop. It makes our new hardwood floors look beautiful.
I purchased this item dirt cheap so figured I had nothing to lose if it didn't work out. I have 8 cats&hardwood floors&was looking for something to help clean up the never ending bits of litter that always seem to find their way around the house. This works great for that, for dust "bunnies"&misc dust&dirt on the floors. It doesn't work on carpets&isn't intended for that use. I am also very pleased with the amt of suction considering it has a small motor&it's not a heavy-duty vacuum. The charge also lasts long enough for me to do all my work. It's also pretty darn durable bec i've knocked mine over more then once¬hing has ever broken for fallen apart. I have never had a problem with water spilling out of the canister when i invert it to place back onto the machine. i am not even sure how that could be possible if the top is on tight. for hardwood floors i use murphy wood soap&it works great! some tips: empty the dirt canister frequently&wipe off the filter inside. also check the holes in the bottom where dirt etc actually gets sucked up in. these can get clogged with stuff too large to get up inside. i use one of those wire pipe cleaner type brushes you can buy for a buck at a dollar store. also, it doesn't hurt every once in awhile to take the bottom off and give the unit a good cleaning. just take out the screws, it's not difficult. if you want good results you need to do some minor cleaning&maint once in awhile. as usefull as it is, i do have a few complaints: first, if you do a good vacuuming then want to wash the floors i always have to put on a fresh pad as the one just used gets dirty from vacuuming&if you use it to then wash floors you are just pushing that dirt across your floors. switching just takes a second but the pads are not that cheap so it means you need a decent supply. i'd like to see them sold in larger units then just 3 with a better price. at least a pack of 6, maybe even 12. also, when vacuuming, the suction holes are only in the front so unless you get it all up going forward you can just end up pushing the dirt back at you. it would be nice to have suction holes in the front&back to hopefully alleviate this problem. other than that i am very happy&mine is getting lots of use.
I cannot say enough good things about this little contraption. I have 3 other variations of sweepers, moppers, and this one takes the cake! I am contemplating buying another because I'll be sooooo sad when this one kicks the bucket!!! Awesome and easy to use, holds a long charge(weeks) and so easy to refill!!!! YEAH TO BISSELL!!!

I purchased this to clean my two vehicles. I bought this unit based upon the great reviews I read, but I am very disappointed.

The unit I received came very poorly packaged and the carton was pretty much destroyed when I received it. The vacuum and accessories did not appear damaged so I accepted the shipment. I mention this because I don't know if the unit was internally damaged and this the cause of poor performance.

As a vacuum the unit is not very practical. The hose is too short to reach very far meaning that the unit must be carried around while vacuuming the vehicle. It makes lots of noise but has poor suction. The small tools restrict the air flow so much that the unit overheats. While trying to vacuum out the A/C vents the small attachments pushed the dust around but didn't lift it. Even when vacuuming carpets with the full size tools it wouldn't even pick up lint from a cotton towel!

As a blower the unit worked well except that it blows the hose off the canister. The hose should have a latch or locking button to prevent this. Also when using this as a blower the unit is both noisy and heats up very quickly.

All things considered I am going back to my shop vac for cleaning my cars. It works better than this unit and is better designed.

I bought this vacuum based on the reviews. Metro gets the job done. It is a wonderful vacuum. My truck rugs are cleaner then they have ever been.

Cons: The motor does get hot, if used for a long time. Also, there is no place to put the cord, hose and all of the attachments. At this price, one would expect to have a retractable cord and a place to hook the hose onto the machine. I am building a carrying case for everything, but then that changes the idea of compact. This is the only small vacuum on the market that has any power. If one comes out that is more user friendly, I will buy it next time. As for now, this is the best compact vacuum on the market.
I use this in my piano service business. It's great for cleaning out the dust from pianos. Works as promised. The only thing I was uncertain about was something in the manual that mentioned what to do if the unit overheats. But it didn't say anything about how you know it overheats. ???

Other than that minor thing, I love it!
I've never experienced this much power from a vacuum this small. I expected the power to taper off after using it but it hasn't. It's perfect for what I use it for and I hope they keep making this product for a long time to come. It deserves supporting in my book.
Works great. Get the dolly, otherwise there is no way to conveniently set it down because it rolls around.

Being interested in innovation and entrepreneurship I was looking forward to reading this book, and I was not disappointed at all. It is well written, holds the attention, and paints the picture well of James Dyson's life and what it took for him to become a successful inventor, designer and businessman. It is full of very useful information and insights of what worked and the many things and actions that didn't work for him in his early business ventures. A very good role model for any inventor or entrepreneur looking to know what it takes to be successful.
His tenacity in getting the cleaner to market is a lesson for us. Many of his observation such as - Engineering is a state of mind, only by remaining as close as possible to pure function of the object that beauty can be achieved, creativity does not arise by staring at an empty board etc etc is of much food for thought. Loved it.
A good book for anyone who enjoys biographies by entrepreneurs. Not too long and not too much back patting. Some invaluable advice was shared. I came away with a good appreciation of the struggle to survive and then succeed.
I've read many books on business, having started and now running a successful business for 12 years, this book describes EXACTLY what it is like to start/run your own business. There are a host of books out there on the theoretical aspects of business, i.e. business plan, financing (blah blah), however they don't touch on the essence of this completely nerve racking, friendship killing, desperate struggle of a process. Starting a business, is not a journey it's an odyssey. Reading Dysons book takes you along for the ride. I can't say this book is for everyone, simply because so few people choose this direction to follow and succeed, but if you do, this book should be read many times. It will also give hope to the person of average intelligence, as I believe, Dyson conveys he is not a genious, he simply doesn't give up, ever.
I work for Dyson US and this book is something we give to every new employee. When I got my copy I read it in about 8 hours- I couldn't put it down! It's a great "story" and although he speaks mostly about the "invention" process and the obstacles he faced, you still get a great feeling for who James is as a person. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.

Frank Close writes in the Oxford style, a little eccentric and quite profound. This is the clearest explanation of the Void, the so-called vacuum of empty space, that I have read. He shows very clearly how physicists came to understand the vacuum of space, which is really a quantum plenum. Well-written and clear (for the most part), this small volume is worth the price and the reading.
Ok, enough of the bad puns!

But as the other reviewers noted, the book strayed markedly from the promise of exploring the meaning of the Void, that is, "existence" before the Big Bang and the creation of the Universe and all its physical machinations and manfestations. I kept waiting for the expostion to come, some theory, and instead page after page of sometimes complicated and incomprehensible science theorms.

Ultimately, the author avoided the premise, perhaps because there is no answer to that Cosmic query known to mankind.
This little book covers a LOT of science in a pretty short amount of time. Another reviewer said that it deals rather less with the void than one might think from the title. While this is true, there isn't much that can be said about nothing without understanding that in the real universe, nothing is truly something after all. That said, there is a lot of explaining of "stuff" to get to explaining nothing, which leads the book to have a lot less nothing than you might expect.

That said, the science is very solid and quite clearly explained. However, having extensively studied physics and chemistry years ago, this read more like a refresher course to me. I didn't have too much trouble making sense of most of the science because I have been exposed to it in great depth (even though I may've forgotten some things). I worry that to the lay reader, the book would be extremely hard going, even as there are many analogies drawn, so I would put it closer to three stars for a reader with little or no science background.

Still, written well overall and with great clarity. An interesting concept.

Special and general relativity are explained again (as they have been in myriad other books). Something as important as the Higgs field is glossed over, while such things as inertial frames of reference or concepts of curved space-time are covered in a tad too much depth or too much repetition. This is really a book for someone who needs a quick overview, rather like it is the introductory chapter to a text with a lot more depth. And from my perspective, it seems to ramble here and there, as if the author doesn't quite want to make a point. Even at the end, the summary shows that the book was not about the void or vacuum but about what fills it and defines its boundaries/properties. Not quite what I was looking for.

Thanks to Dave Hunter, many musicians now have a grasp on what is happening inside their tube amp. If you are not interested in designing or modifying an amp, Hunter's books are all you need. But, if you want to start with a blank sheet of paper and build something from the ground-up; the info in Kuehnel's books (he also has a power amp book in this series), are the best of their type and unlike old school tube books that you find at a used book store; this book is specifically geared toward guitar and bass amps. There is alot of detailed info here so it is not something you can just read through, cover-to-cover. it is best to take it in small sections or, go directly to a section that interests you (I started with the effect of cathode bypass capacitors). All told, I am not sure if I will ever build an amp from scratch but using this info, I actually think that I can do it.
This book is NOT for beginners...... I would say that if you do not have a degree in electronics, I would stay away from this book. If you do, then this would be a great book for you. I have no degree, and have read the book several times, and I would say I understand 10-20% of the book. Just Find another book.
Too many books on tube musical instrument amplifier design descend into subjectivity and waffle. Some, in attempting try to appeal too widely, lose rigor in explanation.

Kuehnel's volume manages to avoid becoming mired in theoretical detail yet remains analytically rigorous. The reader is expected to have a firm grasp of basic electronics and electronic components but explanations do not extend into the realm of system-function in frequency domain, laplace and fourier analysis. This contrasts with Kuehnel's seminal volume on the Fender Bassman 5F6-A, which is mathematically much more demanding.
The reader here is led quickly through basic triode operation and resistive divider networks. A reasonably comprehensive chapter on guitar pickup characteristics is included, this is extremely welcome as many works on similar subject neglect this topic, which is of fundamental importance. Further chapters cover topics of Miller capacitance, pentode operation, headroom, distortion, noise, cathode degeneration and parallel operation of triodes. The Ampeg B42X pre-amp is analysed, chosen because it does differ somewhat from the more familiar Fender Marshall circuits.

In keeping with the desire to use an engineering approach rather than that of a 'guru', Kuehnel includes data on real-world capacitor and resistor performance. He resists the temptation to pontificate on the vintage-component-tone-mojo debate and leaves it to the reader to assess the implications.

Tube gear is currently making a bit of a comeback in hi-fi, but it never really went away for guitar amplification.

To become a true guru on the topic one can't neglect the value of formal engineering training and recourse to the great texts of the 1950s and earlier by Frederick Terman and Langford-Smith etc. But those texts are general whilst this is specific to subject. Kuehnel doesn't include nearly as much information as contained within Kevin O'Connor's "Ultimate Tone" series but this book is better written, is more textbook like in nature, has fewer errors and in my opinion it is a far better initial investment for those serious about the subject.

So, I've just ordered Kuehnel's follow up volume on the power amp to keep the other two volumes that I've already bought company.

This book contains lots of detailed information, but was disappointing overall. It shows how to calculate various circuit parameters, and looks at example circuits, but it is all theoretical. Several example circuits from different brands are discussed, but only their basic technical characteristics, nothing about how that makes them sound. There are no "rule of thumb" or hands-on guidelines based on actual sound character of amps (eg: drive levels in various stages of amps, how far they go into distortion, etc). I have a background in electronics, including tube circuits, and have some ideas about doing amp customizing, but it didn't help at all in that direction.

I just used this product at a reunion at which I tended bar. I premixed Margaritas so I could just pour them as needed. Worked perfectly, I hear. Personally I don't like Margaritas but those that did, approved of my lazy man's approach.

Excellent product.
My husband wanted a thermos so he could have coffee at his desk during his work day. He is extremely satisfied with this thermos. It keeps his coffee hot from the time he leaves daily until he returns at night. He has begun putting a pot of coffee in it as soon as it is brewed on the weekends also rather than leaving the pot on warm for hours. He said he didn't know how bad the coffee at work really was until he began bringing his from home. No more of sitting for hours on a warming tray for his cup of coffee!!! We are very pleased with the thermos.
This thermos is well made and works great...only thing that might need improvement is the screw in stopper. It's a little hard to grip and actually hurts my hand when I tighten it a little bit to prevent any leaking. I WOULD recommend highly, as this unit will hold a whole pot of coffee with room to spare.
This item was put in the FOOD thermos catagory. It is NOT a food thermos. It is for liquids, such as coffee, tea, ice-tea etc. I bought this item as a food thermos, for soups&beaf stew. It is not. I own both the Thermos Nissan 61 oz silver/black one and this Stanley brushed classic 2 qt. Fill them both with boiling hot water to the top and close for overnight. The next morning, the Stanley will be hot but barely enough to make a batch of tea which you can begin to sip immediately. The Nissan will literally burn your lips hot. ( Also have the Rugged 1 qt Stanley bottle but due to its smaller volume, it loses heat even faster ) I think the major problem is the head/neck which you can feel the heat with the bottle closed. For about the ten dollar difference, go for the Nissan over the Stanley.
This large thermos is outstanding. The workmanship is superb. It keeps my tea hot for over close to 18 hours without extra wrapping or insulation. I forget to preheat it most days, still, when I get home 12 hrs later the tea is still steaming hot.

I love the fact the inside twist-cap allows me to pour without taking it all the way out, keeping it from getting contaminated. It's already been dropped several times off the counter without even a scratch and, since it's 100% stainless steel, has no glass inside to break: what more could I ask of a product?

It cleans up completely with just soap and water. If I could add anything to the product it would be a long handled thermos brush as this item is very long&deep. Other than that it is perfect.

I truly hope this thermos will last for decades.
The item was given as a gift. The recipient was very pleased with the gift. He said his father and brother was envious of him. They thought it was wonderful too. It keeps coffee very hot all day.

I would recommend it to anyone.
I just recently bought the Stanley 2.0Qt Classic Brushed Vacuum Bottle. It works perfect! I got it to pack for long cold/hot motorcyle trips and am excited to use it for that purpose. I have taken it sledding and it stays hot atleast 24 hours. Makes hot cocoa last all weekend!

The Dirt Devil Detailer is absolutely the best tool for cleaning up desk-top, keyboard, or even kitchen counter crumbs! I wouldn't be without it, and i think everyone should at least give it a try!
