I did some research before I invested in a "lunch box" so I could start taking leftovers to work (our cafeteria is not great and we usually have lots of leftovers when I cook four weeknights out of five). This is such a quality item that is so functional and visually-pleasing that I'm surprised not every lunch-bagger carries one. I couldn't agree more with the scores of reviewers who say that:

* It is very well-made with high quality plastic
* It holds a lot of food
* It makes packing (and eating) your lunch fun
* Even at $38 or so, it will pay for itself quickly
* The carrying bag is a great bonus
* Comes with a fine spork that works with about anything but soup
* It holds a good temperature, hot or cold

On the last point, I prefer to pack lunch the night before and refrigerate the unit. Microwaving at work is easy. If the contents really need to be kept cold, I'll replace the top small container with an ice pack that looks like a flattened baseball that Bed, Bath and Beyond sells for kids' lunch boxes -- most likely available at many stores. The ice pack goes in just before I leave for work, and the food is plenty cold at noon.

Couldn't be happier. Buy one of these for yourself and a loved one.
I bought it almost a year ago. It costed me 65 dollars at the time. I prepare lunch for my 3.5 year old daughter when she goes to her preschool. I use it for warm food and cold food. All teachers in the school love it and some teachers bought it for their children. It is really good.

Now, I have more time in weekends. I just bought three more because the price is half way down. I am going to use them for picnics in weekends. Sitting by a beach and eat my own prepared food, clean, safe and healthy. Great product.
The product works great. However, from the other reviews, you would think that this thing is very big. It's not. It's just enough food for my twelve years old daughter.

The carry bag should be bigger, so you can put a fruit in together with you bento.
I wasn't too thrilled with this product I use it because it's compact and convenient.
Pros:

3. Nice trendy satin steel finish on the lunchbox, I guess.
Cons:
1. Terrible insulation when compared to "Thermos" products
2. The build quality of the actual bowls and lid is mediocre at best (think kids dinnerware)
3. There is no carrying handle on the actual bento box so you need the carrying bag (which surprisingly has all kinds of straps and a drawstring too)

I picked up this item in a local korean store. I love it. Perfect for the multi course indian lunch, picnic lunches just everything! Keeps it hot or cold and includes chopsticks. I'd buy it again but I already own 2. One for me and the hubbie.

Unmatched price and performance--You will be amazed at what this vacuum pulls out of your wall-to-wall carpets. ( Maybe too strong for Orientals) Forget the popular Dyson models unless you have an extra $499+ hanging around and even then Dyson models in my opinion don't come close to the performance of this unit. Easy to push--( check Low/High setting if it feels heavy--higher setting = easier to push with NO noticeable loss of cleaning power ). Bagless-- no need to go on vacuum bag "specific model" hunting/shopping trips. I worried about wood floor cleaning since you can't turn off the brush on this model (I have a lot of wood flooring) No worries just move the "high/low" switch to "high" and while the brush continues to spin--it will not contact the wood or tile floor and its spectacular vacuum capabilities will clean your wood or tile floors.

Again, excellent price value--spectacular cleaning ability!

I just bought this vacuum to clean my house after our other vacuum stopped picking up dog hair. This Hoover WindTunnel is so far amazing. I have an Eskie and this vacuum picked up hair I couldn't even see-- the floor looked clean but it kept picking up dirt and hair! The sensors are great. I feel like I live in a whole new house!

While I have only used the vacuum on the entire house once, at this point I would recommend it to anyone who has pets and really wants their floors clean! Not only does my house look clean, it FEELS clean.
I never thought I'd say I love a vaccuum cleaner, given how much I hate vacuuming. But, I've had this for a few months and have to say - I love it! It has the perfect combination - ease of use, great cleaning power and great features at a reasonable price.

Here's the things I like best about it:
1) The Dirt Sensor: When it goes over particularly dirty areas,a light goes red letting you know to vacuum more until it goes green. (Scarily, because my last vacuum had broken, when I received this my whole place was seemingly a red zone). But, it also allows you to set the level of dirt it senses - either so it senses it deep down or just a regular level.

2) Rolls and maneuvers easily, and works well on all floor levels and types, with handy accessories for hard to get places.

3) CLEANS THE AIR TOO: Somehow, because of the particle level it picks up the air is actually fresher after using it.

4) Bagless - and easy to empy: The double tunnel has a push button that the bottom pops down and it just pours out into your garbage.

BOTTOM LINE: Reasonably priced, high-performance with great features that make vacuuming ALMOST enjoyable. Highly recommended.
This vacuum is great and I love using it. It cleans very well and is very user friendly. I really like the feel of it (almost self propelling) and how I can see what it picked up. The best vacuum I have owned thus far. The suction is strong and effective and the hand tools are quite "handy".

I purchased this vacuum thinking it was a true bagless, as in a Dyson or Phantom vaccum. This is NOT a true bagless.

After emptying the canister 2 times, the filter was clogged. In a true bagless, the HEPA filter is there to pick up *very* fine particles, and usually does not need to be replaced for well over a year. Unlike this vacuum.

I had to purchase a new HEPA filter after only 2 weeks. Some reviewers have said they use compressed air to get the dirt out of the HEPA filter, but that will not work well. You MUST replace the HEPA filter after a couple weeks of use. At around $20 per filter, this vacuum will cost me most than 2 new Dyson vacuums in a little over a year.

I have a true Bagless, a Phantom that I've had for around 15 years and it performs better than this Hoover. Don't get me wrong, right out of the box, the Hoover had GREAT suction. But as the HEPA filter gets clogged, it can't suck in anything larger than small dust particles.

It's disappointing. It's marketed like a bagless, but they just moved the bag into the vacuum cleaner, and made the price of the 'bags' more expensive.

A few detailed thoughts on issues raised by others as well as a few of my own.

LOUDNESS: This unit is pretty loud, though the rigidity of the countertop makes a difference. If you have it on granite it's a bit quieter than on formica. Formerly on granite, mine now sits on formica right next to my toaster oven and the thing vibrates so much that it rattles the toaster&it's rack. The effect is jarring, though I've gotten used to it. The noise seems more objectionable in the quiet early morning hours than in the evening. Keurig needs to address the loudness with internal damping and better feet on the machine.

COFFEE QUALITY: The coffee produced from K-cups is superb. Coffee I've made from my favorite bulk beans using the (optional) reuseable filter is excellent as well, though it ALWAYS has a slight scum/foam around the edge that stirs into the coffee but ends up as a very fine silt in the bottom of the cup. This happens no matter how fine or coarse the grind. I don't find this particularly objectionable, just a little unpleasant. The coffee still tastes very good.

If you tear open a used K-cup you see that it incorporates a paper filter, whereas the reuseable filter is steel mesh in a plastic cage which, I think, explains the silt. Shame someone doesn't manufacture an add-in paper filter for the screen filter. That may seem redundant, but the screen would serve as a good support for a paper filter and the coffee is otherwise slightly silty.

COFFEE STRENGTH: With the K-cups the coffee is stronger than with the reuseable filter. This is due to the paper filter in the K-cup slowing water flow enough to create a brew slurry whereas the mesh reuseable filter allows the water to rush through. With the reuseable filter, toward the end of the brew the outflow into the cup is almost as pale as water. And when you look at the spent coffee in the mesh filter, it has a vertical tunnel bored through it by the water flow - the coffee doesn't mix well or evenly with the water.

Their engineers would probably argue that, because the bottom of the reuseable filter is solid and the walls are mesh, the water has to flow horizontally through the grounds. The evidence is that the bulk of the water actually tunnels vertically down through the core of the grounds and horizontally along the bottom until it flows out the mesh at the bottom. Again, an add-in paper filter would be useful.

EXPENSE OF USE: K-cups, purchased online, cost about twice the price of fine bulk coffee. I use the optional reuseable filter with bulk coffee for my own morning cup and keep K-cups on hand for guests.

ENVIRONMENTAL ISSUES: The K-cups I've used have a recycle symbol on the bottom, though you have to tear off the foil top (also recycleable) and tear away the paper filter. Non of this is particularly laborious and the flip side is there's none of the cleanup that you have with a traditional coffee maker.

A bigger issue is the amount of electricity it will use if left turned on. It's fast because it keeps a small internal reservoir partially heated, then boosts temp when it comes time to brew with a 1500-watt heating element. The energy efficiency paradigm with this coffee maker will be similar to that of on-demand water heaters, though this unit is probably built to lesser standards than water heaters. A partial solution is to not leave the unit turned on.

DURABILITY: I can't comment on longevity - I've only had mine for a few months. However this thing is built like a tank and weighs nearly as much. The plastic parts seem reasonably sturdy. RE the commenter who had a fire with hers, her description ('pop' sound, location of flames, damaged outlet) sounds like she had a problem with her house wiring/outlet. She may not previously have put enough load on the bad outlet to challenge it until she plugged this coffee maker into it (it's 1500-watts).

FINAL TAKE ON IT: This coffee maker makes quick, excellent single cups of coffee, which is great for small households and for offering guests variety of choice. In my opinion the convenience is worth the noise and I make accommodations to address the expense-of-use and environmental issues. Let's hope Keurig reads these reviews and fixes the issues.
I received this coffee maker as a gift at Christmas 08. It was great at first. The coffee had a great, fresh taste and hot. After several cleanings, going by the instructions provided, the coffee doesn't taste good. It is also colder. Most of the time, I have to heated it up in the microwave. Then, the cost of the coffee. It is so expensive for a big coffee drinker. It is not worth it!

I bought a 4-cup Mr. Coffeemaker to save on cost. I enjoy it alot better then the Keurig Elite single-cup.

$100 to create landfill in used $$$ K-cups? A tiny cup of coffee. One size coffee only?

I enjoy gadjets. Example: Commercial salmon fisherman for a season. I have managed a bakery coffee shop with toys for boys. The Hobart 32 quart mixer is a blast. Espresso machines are fun to operate yet a mess to clean. Fun to have free Double Mochas.

On the other spectrum i was a river raft guide. We heated water in a porcelain pot. Added coffee. Let it sit four minutes. Swung the pot around about ten times to settle the grinds. Added a bit of cold water to unsuspend the last grinds. Poured carefully. The idea fit in with the trip.

I looked at Keurig, Green Mountain Coffee (GMCR) as an investment. Most likely as a Short sale. I planned on buying one only for a test until I read Amazon reviews. No need to bother buying and returning it.

The five star? "It does not taste like instant coffee." At $100 and buying the $$$$ cups i hope not.

The one star. It rattles, makes noise, gets mold and breaks after a year.

OKAY make this a short sale. Other reviews wrote the K-cup was not watered fully.

Starbucks will tell you the best coffee is from a French Press. I had tried this years ago with failure. The beans must be ground very coarse. The filtering is the same as the metal drip filters. Meaning grind it at the store not with a home grinder unless you pay $100 for a good model.

A press is $20 to $45. Bodum makes the best. Starbucks contracted with Bodum to make the Art Deco model. Stailess steel with crafted cutouts. Clear Lucite handle and top.

A press is the smallest coffee maker. Also the simplest while offering complete control. No electricity required. You can use it camping and during power outs if you have a gas stove. Visiting friends and family i take it along.

At home you can move it off the counter to free space.

Simple action:
Boil water in a pan. Add coffee to the Press. Add the water. Stir. (A bamboo chopstick works best.) Steep four minutes. Press it. Pour the cup and the remainder into a caraf.

If the few small grinds bother you then pour into a caraf first and decant it. If the coffee is bitter then reduce the steeping time.

You control the amount of water, coffee and brewing time. Easy to make a half cup. No cost in filters.

A press also makes a milk frother. I use a Mexican Molinino $4.50 or a separate frother press i got at Goodwill $2.25. I use my smallest press an Rx drug rep present for draining Sauerkraut for Ruben sandwiches.

(Yes i have a tortilla press also and every simple gadget made.)

Cleaning a press is simple. Pull out the glass caraf and press. Wash the glass container. Rinse the press part. Either a quick rinse or a simple spin and the filter parts come about. Without separating them do a rinse and screw it back together loosely.

Hold the shaft and spin the filter. Wash, then reverse in one continous motion.

No cost even for filters. The full oils are present. Coffee is used most efficiently. No trash of filters or K-cups.

There are a few powdered "grinds" in the botton of the your cup. Decanting solves this or separate your fresh coffee by size. Use the small particles for Espresso or drip.

A hint on retail coffee drinking. At Starbucks two large Venti are $1.95 x 2 = $3.90. You can order a pressed coffee eight cup equivalent for $3.50. Employees appreciating you know your coffee will give you ceramic cups.

The best part is you choose any coffee at the same price. SBUX will open a for sale pack. I get the $16 a pound which would cost about $2.50 to $3.00 if i bought the pound of coffee. Each time i can get a different coffee. Most important as Starbucks is pushing that horrid Pike Place Market brew. It tastes the way the Seattle Pike Market smelled in 1967.

I have been using it six month now with reusable filter for my favorite coffee grain. I could give five stars if it don't make irritating noise.
I put a rubber pad underneath to mediate the noise. I wish it'd be a little taller for thermo bottle.
I read every single Amazon.com review for this item. And then read them again. I went to the Keurig website and researched the B40. Came back to Amazon and read the reviews one more time. If I was going to pay $100 for a coffee machine, I wanted to be sure I knew as much as possible about it. I finally purchased the B40, and after getting it today and having brewed four cups of coffee so far, I offer the following review (from a BLACK COFFEE drinker, no milk, no sugar):

I think the people who claim this machine is too loud and complain that it vibrates too much are your normal "Mr. Coffee" people. Yes, the machine makes noise. It's pumping pressurized hot water into the K-Cups. Of course it's gonna make noise. I counted each time the noise was made. It lasts five seconds each time, at most. And it's MUCH quieter than my Melitta Mill&Brew, which grinds the coffee beans with a high shrill. This machine also vibrates. But again, it's well worth the minor noise and moderate vibration. You shouldn't be shelling out this much money for a coffee machine if you expect a Mr. Coffee coffee maker. You are buying a "gourmet" coffee machine, and it has some cool features that require hot pressurized water to be pumped through the machine. Not a big deal!

I think a lot of the negative reviews that I read, and maybe all of them, referred to an older version of the B40 that only had one cup size setting. Indeed, when I purchased this machine at Target today, the display model for the B40 had only one cup size. I had to triple-check the box to make sure I was getting the B40 with the TWO cup sizes (and I was). So maybe they have improved the machine since that version.

I read negative reviews about this machine making weak coffee. I was so freaked out about those reviews, I wanted to brew every K-Cup (even the Extra Bold) on the small cup setting. As I was brewing the third cup, I put in a "regular" K-Cup and hit the "large" cup setting. I immediately went into Panic Mode, worried that I just wasted a K-Cup, because my coffee would be too weak to drink. Not true at all! Yes, the coffee was not quite as strong as I would normally like, but it was a very decent cup of coffee. I will not worry if I ever hit the large size on a regular pod again. Although I plan on buying all Extra Bold cups, so that I can brew a bigger cup.

I am extremely pleased with this coffee machine. So much so that I plan to buy two of this same model (or the B60 if it's on sale) as Christmas gifts for my mom and uncle.

As a former coffee house Assistant Manager and an avid fan of "gourmet" coffee, I highly recommend this coffee machine. Probably the best $100 I have spent in at least five years. One of my biggest concerns was that the beans had NO TIME to brew properly in such a short amount of time. But I was completely wrong. This machine brews a nice, bold, rich cup of coffee. Slightly less bold and rich if you brew the regular pods on the larger cup setting; but still very drinkable. I was also concerned that the pods would leak after removing them from the machine, but they are almost dry. I haven't had a single one drip on the way to the trash can, and I remove them seconds after brewing. I'm extremely pleased with the ease and cleanliness of using this machine. No filters to deal with, no messy coffee grounds, no dirty coffee pots to wash (and filter baskets). The convenience of the machine alone is well worth the minor noise and vibration.

I highly recommend this machine. Just do your research and make sure this is the coffee machine you are looking for. It takes time to research, but it pays off in the end. I couldn't be happier with the B40, and don't see why anyone else wouldn't be just as pleased.

We've been using 2 Roombas, intensively for more than a couple of years and, finally, it came to the point where we thought we wanted some replacement filters, mainly because the existing ones began to look a bit worn out.

Three extra filters... 2 of them are unlikely to be used because you are may replace your Roomba before they get a chance to perform. They are so well-made, they hardly ever break or degrade. My advice: try to find a combo pack that includes one filter because 3 filters is probably 2 too many. If you have 2 Roombas, like we do, then purchasing this pack does make sense.

Note: I'm not aware of such a combo pack which is why I am taking one star away - the Roomba makers seem to be forcing us to buy more than we need in this instance.
Roomba owners know that a fresh filter captures more dust than an old one. If you haven't changed your filter in a while, you are really hampering the cleaning potential of your little robot helper. This is a good price and certainly much better than buying from irobot directly. I make my filters last much longer by taking them outside and using canned air to blast them "clean". It only takes about 5 seconds and makes them almost as good as new. I do this about 4 times (once a month) before I finally replace them.
Have been wanting a Roomba a long time; with a fractured shoulder, the Roomba became a necesdsisity.
If you own a Roomba you have to have filters. This was a great price.
The 3 filters were shipped to us placed in a torn box that was for a different product. A hand written note indicated "look inside the box". The filters themselves were in good shape, but I will not purchase from this vendor again.

I recieved this product wrapped in newspaper, and it smelled. Beware if not purchasing from amazon.com. I also purchased the three layer flat filter from amazon- arrived perfectly.
I searched for, found, and ordered a Hoover quality filter. In returned I received a cheap, unwrapped, generic filter with a poor quality filter media. Furthermore, the filter was wrapped in an arabic newspaper. This is the ultimate bait&switch. I will never order from this company and again and would encourage Amazon to remove them from their site.
Sadly I didn't read all the reviews first, just looked at the rating. This company is not shipping what is advertised. They are sending out generic filters that aren't even HEPA compliant. They aren't even Hoover, there is no brand name on them, no patent numbers (they may be even using patents illegally). That said they are filters, even if they are far thinner than the brand name ones, and you can see right through them. Just don't expect them to do a great job stopping dust and mites.
These are not Hoover filters as advertised. They come in a bag with newspaper around them with no protection. Mine are bent. These are generic (who knows if they work) garbage. I will attempt to return. Amazon should remove this seller and relegate them to eBay where you can be assured to be ripped off. If you sell a generic item STATE THIS. Some people are happy with that. I am not. At least buy and resell fake filters with Hoover stamped on them. Then maybe people like me might be duped into thinking this is the real thing. Shipping took forever. Well over 2 weeks and vendor lied about shipping date. Completely unhappy and I have only had this problem with one other 3rd party vendor on Amazon. This vendor borders on fraud.
the picture shown for this product does not reflect what you receive. the filter was in a plastic bag that was wrapped in newspaper then placed in a shipping plastic bag. I received the item in the mail and it was crushed. The company selling this product is fortunate that people like myself are too lazy to repackage and return the item. It's such a hassle. I'll never purchase from this company again.

We have one of these in our bedroom we ordered from a catalog company. Our daughter needed a way to block sound in her room so I found this one about $15 cheaper. It only has one speed but is obviously the same brand and same manufacturer. If you are looking for a good white noise generator to create a perfect sleeping environment, I highly recommend this item.
I was getting tired of trying to keep my toddler quiet while his baby sister was sleeping. Within a week of using this sound conditioner, my baby was sleeping all night! Now, it may just be a coincidence that she started sleeping this well at the same time, but at least my little boy can crash his trucks upstairs without being told to "be quiet!" The volume of the sound is just perfect...sort of like having her humidifier on. I really like this product!
I bought two of these machines. Both my daughters bought this also. My daughters use it in their children's rooms to cut out the outside noises and it soothes them to sleep. The continue to use their view monitors and sound so the won't miss anything that may be troubling going on. My husband and i use ours to cover up the early morning barking of a dog. It works great and is so compact. My husband is on a sleep apnea machine and it covers up that noise. If your husband snores, it will help cover that noise also. My daughter tells me that the cheaper model is just as good as the more expensive one. I'm enjoying our machines. I put them in two parts of the room. Great!! If someone breaks into our house, I would just as soon not know it as I wouldn't want to have to confront an intruder. If you are asleep, they may just leave without bothering you.
We bought this machine for our baby's room, which faces a busy street. In does a decent job, but all-in-all I think I like sound of a fan better. I read quite a few of these reviews and found some people who think it's too loud, and others who think it's not loud enough. I think the real issue is the pitch of the sound, which is noticeably higher than the sound of the fan, so it doesn't do a great job masking low-pitch noise. Perhaps the larger model would do a better job. I would recommend finding a place where you can hear it for yourself before buying it.
I am a pilot and obviously travel a lot. I had one of these for over 25 years until I took it to Ireland and forgot to use the converter plug. This was followed quickly by smoke and a pop, at which point my previous sound screen was history. This one is better because it is slightly smaller and does the same nice job of masking street noise and other things that would otherwise keep me awake. It nicely accomplishes its purpose.

Though the description (at time of purchase) was "audiocassettes" and the image was of a multi-pack, the item is actually a single cassette. I elected not to return this item because I would have forfeited my free shipping for the entire order - a strange policy on Amazon's part. Hopefully Amazon will heed my email and change the description of this product.

(A good filter for a great air cleaner)

This is the gas and odor filter for the IQAir Healthpro PLUS. You can upgrade a HealthPro to a Plus (check IQAir's website for details). I just got the Plus to start with, and my wife and I are glad we spent the extra money upfront.
The filters seem pricey. THEY AREN'T. The filters last a stupefyingly long time. It filters some 200 gases including VOCs. I just used the filter to easily clear the air in minutes after spraying some Bissell carpet cleaner that has a ungodly strong "scent".
An IQAir Healthpro Plus saved my wife and I from suffering while several brush fires over the past few years have lapped at our neighborhood. Before having the IQAir, we both suffered gravely whenever brush fires were anywhere within 50 miles.
After two years of us raving about our IQAir, our next door neighbors (asthma sufferers) sought refuge in our home during the last fire which was a couple miles upwind and within sight of our house. One evening of easy breathing was enough to convince the cheapskates to pony up for an IQAir (and donate to charity their various Honeywell, Hunter and other big-box store joke filters scattered around their house).

researched for weeks online and in stores for a steam mop, as most of my house is wood or tile. I could not be happier with my purchase. Here are the reasons why i finally chose the Euroflex Monster:

1) It was actually designed to be used on hardwood floors - this was important to me b/c I didn't want to ruin the floors in our house
2) It has 2 different steam levels, which makes it safer and more effective at cleaning tile and hardwood. i could not find any other steam mop w/ 2 different steam levels.
3) it has a good sized water chamber. i can mop the whole house on one filling if i don't press the trigger too much to get extra steam to come out the front.
4) steam jets on the bottom AND front. i don't remember seeing this in any other brand.
5) it heats up hotter than most steam mops - to 240 degrees F. Other steam mops don't get as hot so to actually sanitize you are supposed to hold the mop in one spot for 15 seconds, which would make mopping a house an all day event.
6) it also has an attachment for steam cleaning carpets - i have not tried this yet, but liked the feature.

7) the bonus pads where a great bonus.

It has been great at cleaning well and quickly. It really does wipe away grime... even grime that's been there for a while. The pads are machine washable and come out clean every time. Be sure to use distilled water so that you don't get any build up in the chamber (that goes for all steam mops). My only complaint is that if you do have to refill the water chamber mid-cleaning session, you have to wait to 5 mins unscrew the cap (b/c of steam escaping when you unscrew the cap)and then another 5 mins for the mop to heat up after you put more water in the chamber

I've been happy with this filter. Although disposable, I've tapped it on rocks and blown it out with an air compressor, and have kept on using after nearly a year. Does a good job catching wood stove ashes and other fine dust.
This is the Cadillac of Dustbusters ;)
Both tools do fit on the bottom.
Everyone enjoys using it.
No issues with run time.

I do not see this filter as being any more effective than the vf100. After using, i still find minute particals inside the filter; thus, the added espense is not warranted. Now to the important review: Amazon itself. When i learned the vacuum, and the filter came from two different places, and shipping would be charged for each, i found it impossible to cancel the order---for the filter. I am not pleased paying nearly as much for shipping as for the item purchased. Moreover, i am, highly, upset that the order could not be cancelled. I will think long&hard before placing another order with Amazon!!! When i kliked 'edit'---to down-grade this filter to 3-stars---that was not an option. Amazon, your underwear is showing!
I received the items as ordered well within the promised delivery date. They fit and do the filtering job as advertised.
I was so glad to find the Black&Decker Hand Vac VF100H Replacement Filter for HEPA 15.6-Volt Cyclonic DustBuster filter at Amazon. My local Lowes no longer carried it. I actually have a 14.5 Volt Dust Buster but it fits fine and is the same as the original that came with the machine. It has been improved from the original in the hand vac and is just what I needed. It is easy to brush clean after use and easy to install.

When I purchased my router Bosch had a promotion giving this edge guide away and it has come in very handy. I have been able to rout some large diameter circles by obtaining and using longer guide pins than those supplied with the center point taped down with masking tape. Using it as an edge guide I did have a little accident when I forgot to keep the guide firmly against the work. I have also made some longer face plates from 1/2 MDF and attached to the guide.
Received guide quickly, well packed and in good condition. Used it to make dove-tail slots and 3/8x1/2" groves in red oak for drawer front. worked great, will be trying out the other "tricks" in the future.
I bought this unit because a read a reviewer that said it fit Skil routers as well. IT DOES NOT FIT SKIL ROUTERS, at least not the 1810 and its cousins. Just wanted to prevent someone from making the same mistake.

BTW, though I didn't use it, the Bosch product looked VERY nice. I just wish Skil had something comparable.
This is an excellent addition to Bosch router kits. It is a precision tool that works well with either the fixed or plunge router base to set precise edge spacing for cutting dados or mortises. The dust collection adaptor is not as effective as I would like however.
This edge guide has worked very well for me. I haven't had any problems with the plastic guide breaking like some others have reported.

The jig is attached to the router by tightening two small thumbscrews. I hand tightened these the first few times had always had the jig eventually slip loose. Once I started tightening them with a screwdriver, I have had no issues.
The Bosch RA1054 Deluxe Router Guide greatly expands the versatility of Bosch routers. It makes it possible to do edge-forming using non-piloted bits, and guides cuts along the workpiece edge or up to 8 inches from the edge. Standard equipment includes dust extraction hood and vacuum hose adapter that allows connection to 1-1/4-inch, 1-1/2-inch and 35mm hoses. The RA1054 also includes a pivot plate and can be easily converted into a circle guide for making circles and arcs up to 32 inches in diameter.

I didn't expect much out of this cleaner considering the low price (even though I read so any positive reviews). However, it has proven to be better than I'd have imagined. Well built, relatively quiet, and powerful enough for any job. I highly recommend it.
After reading the reviews of this product and going through 2 "stick" vacuums in the last couple years, decided to give the Shop Vac a try. Hopefully it would hold up better because it was more durable??? We have been so surprised how wonderful this vacuum works. We have 1200 sq. feet of tile and can get the entire house vacuumed in under half an hour. We also love the fact that with just a tug the extension wand comes off and you have a tool for getting into tight spots. All you need to do is to turn the swivel head sideways and you get under tables, dressers, even chair legs without pulling them out. We have a Siamese cat who loves to sit on our wing chair and after putting the upholstery attachment on and making a couple passes all his hair is gone. We would definately recommend this Shop Vac and if anything happens to ours would replace it with the same item.
I gave an All-Around to my daughter for Christmas, bought one for myself and have given many more as gifts. I blew the brains out of my first one during an 8" rain last fall, so I had to replace it. It seems a little pricey compared to similar sized wet/dry vacs, but this one has such great features: long cord, stable casters, long hose, and accessories, as well as suction that will make your ficus look like a maple in winter (I'm serious, don't get this near leaves on a plant!). Its compact size makes it perfect for household use. I had always lugged in my husband's from the shed if I really needed a wet-vac, so having this handy is wonderful. I know this sounds like a paid endorsement, but I just love this machine.
The saying, "Good things come in small packages." really applies to this vacuum. It is so handy to do all kinds of cleaning and so powerful.

We just moved into a condo with the prefinished "hardwood" floors. They sure look nice when they're clean, but they show every bit of dust. I used the floor tool with the brushes out (they retract for cleaning carpet) and I was amazed at how much was on the brushes when I finished the floor. That was easily removed by the vacuum. To check, I used a dust mop that usually gets really dirty when it is run over the floor but never seemed to get everything. I couldn't see where it picked up anything after running the vacuum.

As you clean it is so easy to change modes to meet the need. I really wouldn't want to clean without it.

By the way, this is the second one we have owned. The first one, an earlier model, was running like new but I gave it to a friend who admired it. The only problem I had with that one was that bags were getting harder to find. I was able to find them on ebay, but I wasn't sure how much longer they would be available.
If you're looking for a small Shop Vac, this is the one. For some reason, in my mind's eye, I thought this would be bigger. It's powerful for its volume capacity. It's cute and easy to maneuver around.

My kids loves this toy. We spend alot of time outdoors working in our yard, so these two toys help the kids feel included. My daughter is 2 and my son is 4 and they both enjoy playing with them. I read some reviews that mentioned they are not very loud, well ours is very loud, infact if you bump the lawnmower while the kids are sleeping, it will wake them!!
"Santa" delivered this toy to our 20 month old son and he loves it. He has pushed it all over our home and his grandparents home as well.Mike the mower makes noises that sound like he is cutting grass and he talks alot with different phrases like " It's 1st down and 10 yards to mow" My son has not quite captured how to play with Zip the trimmer yet though. The only cons to these toys are they make continuous noise. You can turn off Mike the mower from saying anything but it will still make the mowing sound. Zip the trimmer has no turn off switch. All in all though my son is enjoying these 2 toys very much.
My 19 month old son loves this toy. I like it better than the other lawn movers I have seen. He also likes the trimmer, which is a nice added bonus.
Fun for kids who like mowers -- but as others have said, both are very noisy. Even though we took the batteries out, the mower makes a loud clacking noise.
This was a perfect purchase for our 2 year old who enjoys helping with all the house hold chores. The toys are loud...but the sayings are humorous. Would recommend for both boys and girls 18 months to 4 years (the neighbor kids loved them too!).

This vacuum is completely useless. I can get more suction using my mouth and a straw.
Pick up delicate grids without fear of creasing with Mini-Vac. This palm-sized mini-vacuum/air blower can be used to clean negative and delicate microscope optics or to clear dust particles out of tight spaces. Use the Mini-Vac for removing dust from slides, some camera areas, or enlarger. Its two brushes are made of ultrasoft pony hair, not of stifer nylon. The wide brush measures about 1- 1/4 inches across, while the round one has a diameter of approximately 5/8 inch. The bag an be emptied of dust simply by opening the Velcro closure on the end. Then, if you remove the bag and turn the unit on, you get a mild stream of air coming out of the opening. To use the air, you can simply insert one of the wands into the "blower port" where the bag was.Kit includes mini-vac unit, utility brush, lens brush, straight wand, curved end and vacuum bag. (Several errors on this book)

This book presents lots of errors, from simple ones like references to wrong figures to big ones like putting RIAA networks and tone control networks inside global feedback loops.
To many people, the thermionic valve or electron tube is history. However, whether it is nostalgia, interest in the technical parameters, the appeal of a gleaming amplifier chassis with softly glowing valves, respect for the technical know-how of an earlier generation, or perhaps the firm conviction that the sound of a valve cannot be bettered, it is a fact that the valve is making a come-back. This book contains, apart from construction projects for preamplifiers, power amplifiers, and two amplifiers for musical instruments, information on the operation of electron tubes, while the first chapter gives a short history of the valve.

Definitely worth the price from Amazon - but don't buy from pricier stores. It is a cute little model, sets up nice (altho not overly sturdy - the corners don't fit "quite' right but the Velcro makes it work OK), and the blue backdrop is working very nicely for almost every subject. My only 2 real concerns have been: the camera tripod that comes with it doesn't stay extended (but then I prefer to hand-hold my camera anyway); and the directions to set up the studio initially put it up backwards - or was it inside out?! Anyway, once I figured that out, I was in business, and I've been using it almost daily. The adjustable spotlights are great, the diffusers work fantastic, overall I'm very pleased with the studio - and all my co-workers are so impressed with my 'access to and knowledge of technology' and with the photographs that I'm turning out for our museum! I'm very glad I bought it!

This was a gift for my son and he loves it!! It keeps his coffee so hot after he presses it!
I intentionally purchased this model after my dissappointment with other brands that broke easily or did not keep the coffee hot. I have tried quite a few&owned differing brands-models of coffee presses&tea presses. Thermos Nissan Gourmet Coffee Press is the best coffee press, over all the other brands-models I have used to date. It is durable, double walled insulated stainless steel construction. It has a wide pouring spout made of a durable plastic lid, edging, base&handle for good grip&handling. The internal press made of metal plunger, fine metal mesh screen, along with a metal mesh support ring; which firmly slides into place. I immediately followed the directions in the enclosed leaflet of preheating the press with hot tap water (150 degrees), and continued with the rest of the coffee brewing-press process. After steeping for 4 minutes, I sampled one cup of coffee. It was great, I found it kept the coffee hot up to 5-6 hours in 50 degree weather. Also, I realized, after a period of time in using the press, I no longer need to use as much (scoops of) fresh ground coffee, that I can acutally use less fresh ground coffee to brew/press the same fluid volume (eg 2 scoops vs 3 scoops). A Great Coffee Press, I highly recommend.

Note: Don't bother with the "other" glass coffee presses, the plastic tea presses, or the glass vacum insulated models.

It was supposed to be a christmas present for my husband but it never got here.
Will never order from them again
After breaking my glass swiss made coffee press,I looked to Amazon for a larger selection than the local stores,{without wasting gas} this stainless lined press is very well made and eazy to clean. Makes great coffee, keeps it hot, easy to clean. I don't have to reheat that 3rd cup in the morning as I did with the glass press. Great for a college dorm, hotel (if you don't mind packing a grinder as well).
