After I decided to build a media center PC and connect it to my big screen TV, I was in the market looking for a wireless mouse that will not only replace my mouse but will also work in a way to make my on-screen browsing experience much simpler and intuitive. When I came across this WavIt, I realized unlike a wireless mouse it gave me a 3-D navigation where I can zoom in and out of web pages, and navigate back and forth with just a twist. I could increase the volume with a twist and scroll up and down with a flip. A flip and twist did almost everything I wanted to navigate my media center PC. The installation was a breeze but it did take me a while to get used to this free floating navigation tool before I could get a steady pointer. The smartpoint feature in WavIt was just the one I needed. After I got used to it, I calibrated the WavIt to suit my navigation style and once everything was set, there was no turning back. I love the feature where it detects that your cursor is moving out of the viewing area and gives a small vibration to let you know. I could also replace my TV remote with this WavIt but I am yet to get to that piece of the feature set. My 13 year old daughter used this game for the first time last night and destroyed my sister's brand new 42" LG LCD television. The club flew off and smacked the screen creating a bullet hole appearance and a colorful starburst effect on the screen. After testing the various pieces with the two remotes, we found that the golf clubs did not consistently snap in place. Please use extreme caution when using this game otherwise it can be a very expensive experience.』

All that said, my 5yo loves it and the poor graphics haven't phased him at all (my boys are used to Gamecube graphics). I actually even enjoyed the bowling game though I think after 3 or 4 more games I might have mastered it. The fun part of the bowling was that my 4yo legitimately beat me at it the first time either of us played (and I'm a pretty seasoned video game player). The baseball game is ok and fun (in an old fashioned way) when playing against a real person. The tennis game is almost unplayable while golf and boxing are just barely playable with very little replay value.
Overall, next time I would probably invest my $[...] in a good used Gamecube game instead of this system. I'd recommend finding a used console before buying this.』

Too much focus on style and not enough on gameplay. It's really easy and mindless. Bosses are easy. The black guy and others swear too much and it's annoying. I muted the dialogue after a while.

("Is this some kind of sick joke?!" You better believe it!) 『I've been playing HOTD: Overkill for about a week now and it is pretty fun. The controls are simple, just aim at the screen and hit B to shoot, and the action moves at a good pace. This is an "on-rails" shooter, so you are on a pre-determined path, so the game is really something you could "pick up&play." That said, this game will take you through a series of different locations, from hospitals, buildings, carnivals, and more. I'm at level 3 right now, so I've got 4 more levels to go. The game has a lot of style as well, and plays like a cheesy movie, making the game all the more entertaining to play. This game is also pretty funny. Yes, there are a lot of f-bombs dropped, that's what makes the game funny. The characters have personality as well, even the bosses.
The graphics are good, but I don't have the best TV, so the colors are a bit dark. Otherwise, the levels are well detailed and the game has good sound effects, taking advantage of rumble on your Wii Remote for added effects. I play this game with the Perfect Shot for Wii which gives game play an arcade-feel, but after awhile it gets heavy for me, so I never use it for too long. It is however a good accessory for the game, and can be used for other rail shooters (Resident Evil Umbrella Chronicles&Darkside Chronicles, for example).
As for the audience of this game, probably best suited for adults, in terms of the language. The game itself isn't really scary or difficult and it's pretty easy to play. It is VERY fun and entertaining to play, even for just a few minutes at a time.
In all, if you want a zombie (or "mutant") shooter game that you can pick&play and be entertained by at the same time, House of the Dead: Overkill is a great option.』 『House of the Dead Overkill Wii』
