『Read most of the other reviews and took a chance. Really wanted the wires off the floor and wanted faster speed then wireless for Wii and streaming movies, music and You Tube to my entertainment center. The house was built in 1984 and is single story. The office where the router is and the entertainment center power are on different circuits.

From opening the box to up and running took 15 minutes and 10 minutes were in moving some furniture. There was no software to install, no configuration, it was truly plug and use. This product could not have preformed better. It was a little pricey, and there are cheaper ones out there, but this was worth every penny! Many of the less expensive ones had a greater percentage of dissatisfied customers and I needed all four ports this had for TV, Sound/Blue Ray, Wii, Videoconferencing.

Did not need to call Netgear about set up so I can't testify about their customer service. Also not sure of multiple floors, but it definitely crossed circuit breakers in the electrical panel. Distance from plug in office and entertainment center is 40'.』

So I unplugged it and brought it to my parents' home, to supplement a wireless network that doesn't reach the TV&stereo system as robustly as I would like. Again, no luck. The signal reached other parts of the house, but not there.

Make sure you save all your inserts and packaging material for returning this thing, otherwise, you may find it's a $140 doorstop.』

(Solid speeds works great for streaming video)
『I chose this unit to hook up my new LG BD-390 Blu-ray player to the Internet. I considered wireless n, but the location of my player was so far from my wireless router that I was concerned I wouldn't get the performance that I wanted for streaming video over the internet. I followed the instructions for setting up the unit. You can encrypt the signal, but since I live in a single family home there was no reason to. Set-up was a breeze and I had internet connectivity to my Sony Bravia KDL-46XBR8 and LG BD-390 Blu-ray player just by connecting the ethernet cables and turning them on.

I have mainly used the connection for streaming Netflix movies over the internet. I am very pleased with the results. The clarity of the images is even better than on my computer. I can only attribute this to the better graphics performance of the LG player and Sony HDTV compared to my computer, since the streaming speed at the computer has to be greater than at the LG player connected to Netgear, but it does say that the ethernet speed of the Netgear unit is sufficient to not degrade the quality of the image. There was only one time when the LG unit's Netflix streaming indicated less than full quality (both the Netflix application on the computer and on the LG player do a line speed quality check before they begin streaming). But after playing the movie for a few minutes, the LG automatically detected a change in quality in the streaming speed and increased the performance back to maximal image quality. I'm not sure what drove the performance down. There must have been some electrical interference from some device connected to my power line. If I see it happen again, I'll try and isolate the source of the problem and will update this review.

If you are concerned about using wireless to connect your home theater components, I would highly recommend this alternative. The assurance of being able to drive high speed ethernet to any part of the house is well worth the price of the unit.

(A Little Fuss, but worth it)
『When I couldn't get a D-Link Wireless Bridge to work right, and could get no support for it, I looked around for alternatives. I admit I was completely sceptical about these Powerline adapters but, after a little digging, discovered that there is a standards organization for them whose goal is to insure that all the Powerline devices are compatible. Netgear is part of this standards coalition, so that fact, combined with reading all the positive reviews here on Amazon, led me to take a chance on them.

After a bit of trial-and-error confusion about compatibility with my network's WPA security, and no clear answers to be found, I ended up setting up both parts of the Netgear kit as if I didn't have WPA security on my network, i.e. I just used the passwords supplied on the Netgear equipment.

Once I did that, it all just worked! It should be noted that I have a red (slowest) connection light- probably due to our whole-house surge protector- but I have had absolutely NO problems connecting my Sony TV or my Panasonic Blu-Ray player to the internet. NONE! And I've already streamed some videos with no problems!

Isn't it great when a product works as promised? I gave this 5 stars for the end-result, but really it should be 4.5 stars because of the confusing security setup and lack of comprehensive support.

(Used it to open up Macbook Pro 13' (and my dell inspirion 1545))
『This is a good, affordable tool to use for opening up your laptop in order to replace the harddrive. Personally, I used it to take out the screws from the bottom of my macbook pro 13', and replace the 160GB harddrive with a 7200rpm 320GB harddrive, and also I replaced the 2GB default ram with 4GB ram.

I needed the T5 in order to take apart my Sony Ericsson phone and this kit was as expensive as a single T5 screw driver so I pulled the trigger.
After using it to disassemble the phone i noticed that the bit had started to wear off at the corners making it more difficult to un-tighten the bolts. Poor materials use.
These days i use the magnetized tips as a way to collect the bolts after I used a different screw driver to un-tighten them.』

(Disappointing movie, not a good edition)
『The second installment in the Harry Potter series has some fun moments. I love the character of Gilderoy Lockhart. He's well played and adds humor to the movie. Hagrid's character also gets some more development.

I'm not as crazy about the plot. It's a bit too convoluted, and much of it is never really explained well (even after watching "Half-Blood Prince," I still don't understand how Voldemort could have controlled Ginny Weasley or lived through a book). Dobby was really annoying. He's way too dramatic and a sadomasochist to boot. Would anybody really believe that programming a ball to attack and almost kill Harry Potter was really going to succeed in keeping him away from Hogwarts? It just doesn't add up.

Also, the basilisk and spiders were somewhat disappointing and pretty dull. The spiders aren't as exciting as Shelob in Lord of the Rings. The basilisk was somewhat believable, but sometimes looked like a big movie prop. Maybe a special edition could be released with better monster designs.

Overall, this is probably tied with "Half-Blood Prince" as my least favorite in the series. It's definitely worth watching if you like the Harry Potter movies, but should have been much better.』

(Very flexible FXS/FXO)
『The SPA3102 gives you both an FXS port (for a phone) and an FXO port (for a phone line), it's two devices in one box. Each device can operate independently or can be made to interact with the other. It's great for a start-up VoIP system where you want to have one phone and access to one phone line from the PSTN. Be aware that this is NOT a device that is made for plug and play. You have to know what you are doing. It is an extremely flexible device with MANY options. Which means it can be overwhelming to a beginner. A lot of the options can be left at default but you still need a basic (at least) understanding of networking, SIP and VoIP to get this working with a provider or VoIP PBX. If you know what you are doing, this unit can be up and running in 10 minutes, otherwise you'd better have a lot of patience.

This unit is the successor to the SPA3000, first released by Sipura, which was bought by Linksys, then Cisco. they added a few more features upgraded firmware AND a router. Most people will already have a router on their system and will probably just disable this feature and use the second Ethernet jack in bridge mode allowing a second device to be plugged in, saving a port on your router or switch.
All in all a great unit, but not made for the inexperienced, do some research if you aren't quite sure if this is for you, there is a lot of info on line』

(Not for the faint of heart...)
『Although VoIP is slowly moving more and more mainstream, a device as flexible and as configurable as the Linksys SPA3102 is not for anyone who either is not comfortable with programming the ATA with your VoIP provider's SIP settings or coming up with an approprate dial plan for your device that is compatible with your provider. With that as a caveat....

This device is PHENOMENAL! I love the potential for PSTN dialing (either by prefixing your calls with a code or by programming certain numbers--like 911--to go directly through the PSTN line). By manipulating the dial plan, you can also program certain key combos (*101 for example) to speed-dial certain numbers. You can program the SPA3102 to allow yourself to dial into your device via your VoIP line and then subsequently dial out the PSTN line (using a number of authentication methods including caller id, PIN, etc.). Likewise, you can set it up to allow yourself to dial into yoru device via your PSTN line and then subsequently dial out the VoIP line (one way to save on long distance?). It's robust, reliable and cheap (just $10-20 more than a PAP2T-NA). Just be prepared to do a lot of googling and "self tech-support"! In all seriousness, there is a wealth of information out there on the SPA3102. It is a popular device for VoIP users and is often the BYOD (bring your own device) of choice!』

『I generally like this product, but there's one problem with it.

Likes: Lots of options, VOIP stuff (the most important stuff) works fine.

Dislikes: The PSTN functionality is very poor. If the unit has no power, it just passes the PSTN connection through, which is fine. Kind of a 'fallback' mode if there's an electrical outage. However, if its powered on, the PSTN audio has a distinct and annoying echo. You can mitigate it a little by tweaking the "Echo Cancellation" settings, but you won't get it to go away, and it was enough for me to decide just to ditch the PSTN line and go VOIP only.』

『If you know Klipsch like I know Klipsch, then you, of course, should not be surprised at the great sound. The bass is not exactly earth shaking, but with the type of music I'm currently listening to (Jazz, New Age, Alternative), it suits my bedroom just fine. I'm definitely hearing a wider range of sounds than before. The system itself is pretty small (a lot smaller than I expected) but with the nice sound coming out, I'm glad it's a space saver.

My main concern is the docking connector. When you dock the Ipod/Iphone, it is only held up by a small connector; your Ipod/Iphone is not thick enough to lean up against the wall of the slot for support. Therefore, when you use your Ipod/Iphone, it definitely jiggles and will eventually loosen the connector. My easy solution: I folded a piece of tissue for support! :-)

(Also, the volume switches on the speakers are hard to push, but the remote solves this concern.)

Hopefully the next edition of the iGroove will address this problem, but until then, I'm enjoying this Klipsch immensely.

『Warbirds of WWII is just what the doctor ordered. With the exception of the Corsair, whose engine sounds like a Cessena 182, the rest of the downloads are just what you expected. The cockpits are fantastic, with plenty of room to mouse around and throw switches, knobs, and radio channels. The P-47, and the Mosquito sound fantastic, and are exacatly what you would expect to hear from a recip. The P-38 is in another category all to itself. The turbochargers whistle right up, and the controls are fantastic. Some of the normal key selections are not the same as what is printed in the manual, but so what. Play around and find them. The Shift + E still opens the canopies, with the exception again of the Corsair. It is a birdcage canopy, and the pilot moves forward as if it were opening, but it does not. Again so what, things I can live with. A litle pricey for 29.95, but well worth it. I ordered on the 10 th of Dec, and recieved it yesterday on the 15th, with the weekend in the middle. Not bad for the holidays. *NOTE* Sorry for you Mac users with attitude, you are just going to miss some of the best add ons around. I downloaded to one tower pc with XP and MS/FS 2004 and another tower pc with Vista and MS/FS X, works great, and downloaded fast. I want some more planes please! Four stars out of five.』

I had to plug in an external keyboard. I have a game racing wheel, a game pad and a joystick and none of those will work with it. I think it could be a fun game if they had done a better job with the control aspect. I can't even find the game on the activision website to see if they have a patch for it. I am very disappointed』

It works with windows 7 you just have to wait about 20 minutes for windows 7 to install it, but that the only draw back. You can play it on your computer without ever having to used the disk again.』

『The last time I bought a game that did not support any type of controller (joysticks, wheels, game-pads, etc) was back in the Windows 95/DOS days. With this game you can only use your keyboard! Save your money, buy something else! To make matters worse this game didn't even run right. As soon as I went to start a race the game crashed. I will never buy a game from Activision again! I contacted them for support and first got this runaround about this being some other brand of Activision product (like it matters that it may be from a "sister" brand, it still sucks and I will boycott them from now on) even though the box and ad had the name Activision on it! Support was a waste of time except that's where I found out that this trash does not have controller support. This was a total rip-off in my opinion and their cop-out (Activision's) saying that this game is something like an "Activision-Select" title just implies that they use the Activision name to sell the product then try to claim it's from somewhere else (like it's not their fault that it sucks!). Save yourself the aggravation and disappointment I had, STAY AWAY from this garbage!』

Guess I will take it to the taylor. I sent two e-mails to the mfg. Have yet to get a response. Needless to say, I am very dissapointed.』

Great weight for winter as a scarf (in office as a scarf/wrap), or in the summer as a wrap to keep the chill off. Fabric Has a very nice drape, and doesn't wrinkle easily. The background color is kind of muddy. There's a shiny gold thread through the design that seems to cheapen the whole look. Plus, the Pashmina/silk balance is more like 55/45, as compared to the 70/30 of other options. I returned it.

『I followed the instructions, and it works great. I tried it on some Virtual Console titles, and it's pretty good. Although, I would recommend it only for use with N64 titles like Paper Mario and Super Smash Bros., since it's a Gamecube controller. I tried it with Pokemon Rumble, a WiiWare title, and it's decent, but the rumble isn't that effective with this game. I also tried it with Super Smash Bros. Brawl, and it's great, but...the C Stick doesn't work most of the time when you're fighting. I guess the C Stick doesn't work with a lot of Wii games.

All in all, this is a good alternative, but if you're looking for a better wireless Gamecube controller, you might want to go with the the Wavebird.』

『Good:

The receiver and controller paired right away.
Wireless Gamecube controller for those classic games on the Wii.
Completely wireless, Wii remote ball-and-chain free, to play and roam about.
On and off switch to conserve batteries.
No channel settings (can be a bad).
Rumble for those that support it.

Alright:
Three AAA batteries... Could have went with the typical two AA batteries.

Bad:
Analog stick not as smooth as the Nunchuck or regular made by Nintendo Gamecube controllers. Bear to use for precise and accurate aiming. Hexagonal notches are WRONG. The notches are just plainly in the wrong places. Meaning if I hold up, the stick has two points to slip side to side to possibly and doesn't help me to lock in that UP.

UPDATE:
Very BAD:
After several months, the analog stick is stuck to having the game cursors, character, whatever movement to be stuck to going left. I have not found any remedy for this. I will be glad when the Official White Gamecube controller comes through (sacrificing wireless is a small price for quality) so I can continue to enjoy Virtual Console and the few Gamecube games I have.

Notes:
My controller from hours of playing has the sticks wear indentations in the plastic from mashing the wrong hexagonal indents.

Cliffs:
It is an alright controller (for awhile) but I would take the chance and get a Wavebird if I can or stick with the good ol wired Gamecube controllers.

Nintendo if you can hear all of your player base and fans, re-release the Wavebird, make the Classic controller completely ball and chain free from the Wiimote and work with Gamecube titles, or release that Classic Controller Pro in North America.』

『There is no doubt about the Metroid Prime series, and the success it has had for Nintendo with the Gamecube and with the Wii. But since NIntendo chose not to make strategy guides anymore, it has lead some of their biggest games in tougher maps being showcased. That is honestly the truth with Metroid Prime Trilogy for the Nintendo Wii, and this strategy guide from Prima, doesn't deliver as well as it should. There aren't enough maps here to deliver well for gameplay, especially if you haven't yet played the original Metroid Prime or Metroid Prime 2: Echoes from the original Nintendo Gamecube. Considering those games were also redesigned for this version for the Wii, it doesn'y make it a strong enough help. If you still have the ones from the Nintendo Gamecube that Nintendo had made, than I truthfully recommed you use those to help you here in this game, as well as the one that Prima had made for Metroid Prime 3: Corruption. This strategy guide really isn't worth the money, and easily a crash and burn for Samus too.

『First off, I agree with most of the other reviewers: If you have the original guides for Metroid Prime 1, 2,&3, then just use those. If you don't have the old guides, then this is a decent game guide to own. However, all of the information in this book is on the internet in some form or fashion. From text walkthroughs to YouTube video walkthroughs, its out there if you know where to look. I decided to get the book because my computer is in another room...I didn't want to travel from room to room whenever I got stuck on a part of the game. Also, the online text walkthroughs are okay, put they are dull to look at. So, I bought the book to be ready-at-hand and for the good game screen shots and the color graphics.


The only cons that I have, besides the occasional spelling/grammatical errors, are the lack of game art work and the condensed format which can be confusing if you aren't paying attention.』

I was skeptical about ordering this after finding out that it has the exact same pages as the single guide for Metroid Prime 3 by itself. "Hmm, that's peculiar," I thought. "If the guide for MP3 has the exact same pages as this guide, how can this guide fit 3 guides into one?"

Nevertheless, I ordered it. To my aghast, I perused the book and found that the guide was short and didn't go into much detail. I read other reviews about this, and found that some of the pictures don't even match. I didn't bother to check, but this one doesn't seem like it'll have info on extra content within the Trilogy Collection.

I regretted buying this, but was still able to sell it and bought the three single guides. Sure, the first two refer to GameCube controls, but that can easily be remedied by simply adjusting the GameCube control scheme to the Wii's.』

I absolutely recommend this book as a must have for any Wii-head heart and soul. This might be not as strong as a simple strategy guide, but it does give out a lot more for the Wii than meets the mind and hand of the Wii-mote.

『I was skeptical at first about purchasing an add on that does what the Wiimote is supposed to do already. However, I recieved this for a birthday present along with a couple games and I have to admit it is definately worth having since it gives a much more refined control to the wiimote. This addon makes games that have become redundant and mindless like bowling and baseball a whole lot more challenging since there is a lot more accuracy in the motion sensing now with acceleramoters in the front and rear of the controller. Go ahead give it a try and I am sure that once you do, you will say the same thing as I "It should have came with this standard to begin with."』

『My kids love this game and are always wanting me to play 3 player with them. However, this is one Wii game that I just do not have talent for.
