『This is a good stand. I own one and have used it for a while. However I have read several forums that claim Microsoft does not intend for games to be played in the Xbox 360 while in the vertical position. Even though it is advertised in the orientation. I have to admit that once I stoped using my 360 in the vertical position the number of crashes reduced dramatically. Also games I played alot in the vertical position are significantly scratched. This is the reason MS says not to play in vertical orientation. Apparently many discs are being scratched this way. So this is a good stand and works well. However it requires you 360 to be vertical so I stopped using it. I bought a decent laptop cooling stand and that works with the 360 while horizontal. Much better solution in my opinion.

『I'm disappointed that this massive guide is printed on yellow/green paper making it difficult to read. None of the pictures or maps are very clear. In, fact, some of the legends are almost too small and unclear to see. I'm not a kid but I'm not that ancient, either. What happened to clear printing on white glossy paper--at least white paper? I wish I'd known all this before I bought this book. It's not useless, but I'm looking for a new guide.』

(A Good Guide, but a Lot of Page Flipping)
『This review is particularly long. If you want, you can look down at the bottom where I've listed the pros and cons.

When you pick up a guide and its 432 pages the first thing that instantly comes to mind is that this is a huge guide therefore it must have all the information. The thing that usually escapes our mind is where all the information is. This is a really good guide, and there's a ton of information there, but like many incredibly thick guides, the information is all over the place. However, with this guide, the information isn't all over the place in a highly disorganized fashion.

The guide begins with several of the game basics. If there's anything about the gameplay you don't understand this guide can help. After that we get into all the weapons and equipment you'll be using, the characters you'll meet and the enemies you'll encounter. For the enemies they've got what's called a "threat meter" to tell you just how hard the enemy is, and they've also got tactics on taking them down. Very useful stuff.

Afterwards we get into the walkthrough, and this is where the guide hits a high point as well as a low point. The walkthrough is huge. Over 300 pages of this guide are from the walkthrough alone. Is it good? You better believe its good. There's a ton of detail here. Each chapter begins with an overview of the area you're in and displays a map that looks like it was taken straight from the game. It also list the items to obtain, as well as showing you what your character should have when you get to a certain point. Along the bottom the guide details the tasks you should be doing, similar to some of BradyGames RPG guide books, only this one seems to be done a little better.

How the task objectives work in this guide is simple. At the beginning of each section if you look at the bottom of the page you'll see a set of eight tasks. Usually no more and no less. For task one it might say, "Enter Ordan Villiage." Now in the main text of the walkthrough itself you'll want to find the section that says, "Enter Ordan Village." That explains the task in better detail. It's easy to use. The walkthrough also has character bios for new characters as you meet them.

There's more to the walkthrough. Each section of the walkthrough has what's called "missing links" which detail optional things you can do in an area.

The guide also calls out new enemies as you encounter them and there's a threat meter displayed for you as well. Also, each time you come across an item, be it for the first time or tenth, they have a description of it. Every time you get your first small key in a dungeon, the guide gives you the same explanation the game does. In addition there are call outs to new weapons, abilities, etc. It's all here.

The maps look as though they're pulled straight from the game, and are only displayed at the beginning of each chapter. This is one of the guides few low points. When reading in sections it might tell you to go back to chamber five or something like that. Well, if you're a little lost, you'll have to flip all the way back to the map at the beginning of each section in order to figure out just what they're talking about when it comes to Chamber 5. This wouldn't be so bad if some of the sections for each dungeon weren't 40-50 pages. However, the good news is, the maps do indeed have a legend each and every time you come across it. The legend tells you all the rooms, all the items in the dungeon and where you'll encounter the characters.

Boss strategies are pretty helpful. They tell you how to down your foes, but they also give you some handy tips for dodging some of their attacks.

The walkthrough also points out the location of heart pieces as you go through the game. Up in the corner of each page is a heart meter that shows you how many hearts you're suppoed to have by the time you get to a certain point in the game. So you'll know if you missed any pieces of heart. By the time you get to the Goron Mines, for example you should have five hearts. If you don't, you know you obviously missed something.

The location of the golden bugs is also revealed, as well as the Poe Souls. They each have their own specific call outs.

Is there more to the walkthrough? Well, there are indeed, spoilers. If spoilers bother you, this guide has a few. Also, throughout the walkthrough there are author notes that don't really serve any purpose other than to describe the turmoil the authors went through on some of the puzzles. Some are funny, but many of them are a complete and utter waste of time. The walkthrough is definitely one you need to use as you play through the game. If you put it down for a while and go about the tasks on your own and then suddenly need it, it's a hassle to find just where you are. Especially if you do some of the tasks out of the order described. Again, these sections are LONG, so you'll be doing a bit more reading than playing. This is the huge downside to the guide. There's so much of it that it's sometimes overwhelming. If you miss something (say a heart piece or golden bug) then you'll spend of a lot of time flipping and reading through the walkthrough to find it.

The walkthrough may be well done, but it's extremely exhaustive, slow going and long. A lot of the information doesn't have to be there. It probably would've been better had they organized it the way Nintendo Power organized their guide. The Nintendo Power guide is much more user friendly... but Nintendo Power is designed for the Wii version, not the Gamecube. All the information is there, but like many guides that are incredibly thick, it's all over the place. The difference here is that Prima did a much better job organizing it. It doesn't separate from the fact that there's a lot of page flipping, however. I'm not one to be bothered by page flipping, but in this guide it actually did become annoying.

The legendary checklist at the back didn't detail the location of Poe Souls or Golden Bugs, which could've helped in many cases. The heart checlist is pretty good, though, telling you where to find them. The checklist also details on finding equipment and items. So it's not so bad.

This is a very well done guide for Twilight Princess, it's just very big with a lot of infomration to swallow, and a lot of page flipping. It's a good guide, and helpful to anyone, but there's so much to swallow, and you'll spend of lot of time doing it.

『I don't have Twilight Princess, but you gotta prepare, ya know? Anyway,
this is a great guide. It will tell you EVERYTHING about the game. There is not a section specifically devoted to finding the extras, like golden bugs, but it comes with a giant map that shows you where everything is.
Besides, all you have to do is flip do the section you want to know where the stuff is, and it tells you where to find it somewhere in that section.
Some have complained it is too big, but the official Nintendo guide isn't much smaller. This is a huge game, after all. Great guide.』

『I liked all the pictures in the book, i tend to use those mostly and they gave lots of little hidden secrets (for those of you who like to play the game and then later go back for all the goodies). However the layout wasn't very easy for me to understand. Page by page i was never sure if i was looking reading left to right, and which of the "hidden secrets" i actually needed to do for the game and which ones i didn't. I'm just more of a gamer who likes things seperate. Main game play and then the extra bits.

『I have been an avid fan of the DotNetRocks podcast since the beginning and when Brian Peek and Dan Fernandez went on the show [...] to talk about their Coding4Fun book, I felt their enthusiasm and decided to get the book. I am technical architect and "code for work" every day, so why did I get so excited about the book? Who has not wanted to write a game or build some fun gizmo? Well, whether you are coding for work or for fun, the creative projects presented by Brian and Dan are sure to make you want to pick your keyboard and mouse and get going. Going through the first chapter and building the Alien Attack game, I got a chance to discover the patterns in use in most game as well as learn to use the Microsoft XNA gaming platform. The authors introduce the different techniques in layers so you can see the game evolve as you go. You will get some good chuckles out of playing (and even losing at) your own game, guaranteed! If you're more eager to tackle hardware and software projects, the Wee-controller or electronic board based projects should pique your interest. Even though I have not built all projects (at least not yet), I very much enjoy browsing through the chapter and see how each project is structured. Whether you want to feed the inner geek, or inner coder in you, or whether you've always wanted to code for fun for a change but don't know what to code, then this book is for you! 『There are many of us who began programming because it was fun and exciting. Being a developer as a career, however, can sometimes suck the life out of us with the day to day routines we go through. This book is a great way to cure that problem because you can put your skills to use, and do something fun at the same time without it ever feeling like a chore.

There are 3 basic areas of focus in the book: Gaming, Web projects, and hardware projects. The projects differ from each other, so you never feel like you're doing the same thing twice. It's also great because you don't have to read the book in order; just find something that interests you, and code away. The chapters contain summaries in the beginning to let you know approximately how long the project will take, the software you'll need before starting, and any costs involved (usually for hardware chapters).

Since I've always been curious about learning XNA, I'd have to say the Alien Attack chapter was my favorite. It's very easy to follow, and the great thing is that it walks you step-by-step so that you can build the project as you're reading, and learn how everything works. It covers topics like creating the sprites, animation, interaction with other sprites, and user input. It even shows you how to run the code on the XBOX 360 and the Zune without doing any code changes.

A few other really cool chapters were the chapters involving the Wiimote, the PeerCast application, and the animated holiday lights. If you've ever played around with the wiimote, you probably know that it brings a new way to interact with games. By allowing the wiimote to be used on a PC, the possibilities are endless. The authors show some exciting ways to make use of this, and teach you enough so that you can use the wiimote in your own applications.

In my opinion, there's really something fun for everyone in this book. I highly recommend it. After reading it and working through the examples, you'll be able to apply what you've learned and create some of your own exciting projects.』

『I'm a Fire Emblem veteran, so I usually don't go for guides, but my siblings wanted to play, and I thought this would help them. I was wrong, apparently

Just to note, do not confuse this review with a review of the game. Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn is an excellent game, and well worth playing. Back to the review of the guide:

The guide is basically a diary of the author's playthrough. Each chapter chronicles what HE did on HIS game, with no variation or differing choices. It would have been nice to see different strategies for the different teams a player might like to use. For example, I like to use a party that consists of mages, with a few melee units to back them up. The author of the guide actually advises against mages, while recommending units that are so overpowered, they feel cheap to use. Yeah, they'll win the game for you, but where's the challenge? The game is balanced enough that you can win using anyone, but according to the author, the cheap way out is the only way.

There is also a lot of missing information. There are special conversations, hidden scenes, and a secret ending that are all absent from the guide. I had to find out online about one of the game's biggest spoilers that you can unlock. But is it in the guide? NO! Of course not!

In conclusion, I can't recommend this book. If you want a diary of a guy playing a game, this is it. However, there are better guides for free online. While the artwork is good, it is also available for free.』

Otherwise, you spend $50 on a game and it sits unused because it get too tough for a younger player. He loves the game and only checks the help manual every so often. Good manual.』

『When people buy strategy guides there are looking for a collection of facts that will allow them to develop a better strategy. This "guide" is little more than the author's turn-by-turn diary of the way he played the game. The enemy locations and stats are often wrong and only offered for Normal Mode, so if you're playing easy of hard mode you're on your own. The maps are often too dark or too small to get a good idea of how to approach the chapter (especially the one with the bridge). There is hardly any artwork, just screen shots of the game Dan Birlew (author) played. Its almost as if Prima new this guide sucked when they released it with the name premiere edition, certainly suggesting it wouldn't be the only edition. I really wish Nintendo Power would make their own (instead of teaming up with Prima) because their efforts on previous fire emblem game guides were far superior.』

『After using this silicone cover for a while, i realize just how poorly made it is, when i am using my wii board, and stepping on and off the wii board to do certain exercises, it slips back and forth and will not stay in place on the board, and i put the cover on properly, there is only one way to put the cover on your wii board, if you get this cover and put it on ,you will see just what i mean, and to top it off after the cover is put on properly in the correct way, the feet pattern on the silicone cover are facing the wrong way, they are facing in the opposite direction to the wii, but i can live with this, its the constant slipping that worries me, when i am exercising, taking all the fun out of my routine!』

『I ordered two of these items for my make-shift home theater system, and they're everything I expected. As at least one reviewer mentioned, contrary to the packaging, they can switch audio signals without any video connection. Similarly, even though "In" and "Out" connections are labelled, signal can be passed in either direction, letting you split either your output or input. (I currently have one sending my computer's audio signal to one of three sets of speakers, and the other switching one of the speakers' input between the computer audio and game console audio.)

The product is just about as compact as it can get for switching up to 9 signals (6 audio and 3 video), and the color is actually a darker grey than the picture suggests (which I like). It also doesn't appear to degrade audio quality noticably, even going through two switches (admittedly, I'm not an audiophile). My two complaints are that the selection knob can be difficult to turn, and the red marker that tells which input / output is selected can be difficult to distinguish in poor lighting. However, the construction is quite sturdy; I can't see this item breaking down anytime soon. Overall, I highly recommend this product to people looking for a compact, simple audio / video switcher. (Note: if you want to switch signals on a 3.5mm stereo connection, you'll have to purchase cables to split the signal to dual rca left and right signals, which is what I'm doing.)』

『This is a very simple device, which is precisely what I like about it. As I noted in the customer image I left, it requires no power supply, as the internal switching device is mechanical (the knob twists and clicks very securely). Some might view this as a negative attribute, having to walk across the room to choose to play your Xbox vs. watch a movie, but a little exercise never hurt anybody, in my opinion. I also like how small it is (it's about as wide as an average man's middle finger is long), so I don't have to make a large space for it. I would've liked it if it had come with a double male ended A/V cable (which it requires to be plugged into the TV), but at such a low price I'm not complaining!』

『I bought the spouse a Wii and now we have a dvd player, XBox 360, and a Wii...I had tried a Radio Shack splitter (house brand) which introduced switching noise and degraded the image quality of both units. I bought this one based on its size, cost, and lack of an external power supply.

Size: the unit is about 5" long--like a Dunkin Donuts bagel, and about 1/2 the thickness.

Cost: Less expensive than other units out there, about 1/2 the price of a GE push-button model.

Power supply: none needed! I think I have quite enough devices that need to plug in--my house is full of 'power vampires', so having a standalone unit was important to me.

The rotary knob is basically idiot proof, and moves through its range of motion smoothly. The unit itself is light but doesn't feel cheap.

Not tidy: someone else called it an 'octopus' and I would tend to agree. This is not a design fault, it's in the nature of the beast. You'll have to find a place to hide it for sure.

Over all I'm very pleased with this product.

This Sony Video selector, while not the prettiest to look at, made the job easy. Whenever I want to watch a dvd or the tv, I turn the dial. I want to play Wii? Just turn the dial. Easy. :)

I also love that this selector doesn't need to be plugged in and use up another one of my outlets.

『Wow - $20 for what? Someone will laugh at you if you buy this - it will at least be me. I think the Nintendo Wii system works very well and for the life of me I couldn't beat my child for the first 100 plays on the video game, but that is another story. This little car has nothing to do with that except for little homunculus Mario, and the likeness of the banana, and the little red thing. If I didn't throw the box out, I would take another gander to make sure this wasn't some cleverly misspelled brand to look like the Wii, you know, like that ROLEX some people wear. OK seriously - the infrared controller does talk to the car. I could make the wheels turn. I could make the motor turn remotely, but as soon as you try to put the axle to the gear to the motor, it gets stuck. It gets stuck because someone sort of drew an idea and some sort of guy (or gal) sort of threw parts together, and sort of made the plastic sort of look like the drawing. The drive wheels are on a thin easily bent rod (you are supposed to take them in/out to switch to another). The pinion gear barely engages the reduction gear (all plastic with really really loose tolerances - think Flintstones loose, you know when the stone wheels would fly off the wood axle) and once you snap the axle in (one side at a time, yes yes I was careful), you have maybe one or two more chances of breaking whatever little plastic tabs hold the axle in and you are lucky if all the gears mesh or even inhabit the same airspace. Drive it for about 12 inches on a wood floor ("NOT on the tabletop KIDS!") with any dog hair or baby dust bunnies and it becomes a dog hair/dust remover - and a very purposeless paperweight. Clean out the now circular hair and dust, drive on a dust free environment ("ONLY on the tabletop kids") and watch as the car stops/jerks/goes, stops, then stops, then stops, then stops. You have now played out the life of this product. Throw it out and say a prayer to the environment. On the remote there is a little plastic dongle that is supposed to swing out and act as the Snap-on took kit for the car - I mean the instructions gave it hope, invested it with mighty powers. It has many intended functions to turn things and open things on the car, but it really is a little piece of formless fetal plastic that literally couldn't not stab its way out of a wet proverbial paper effin bag. The remote and the car have the greatest intentions of fun, but you will be much happier, trust me on this, staring at the picture at the top of this web page and IMAGINING all the fun you would have with this product. Go ahead. Scroll back up. Please. vroom. vrooooooooom. errrrrrr. wheeeee........!』

They are having a lot of fun playing with these- they made a race course with paper and are racing the cars together. There is some play with controlling the cars as it isn't that precise but they are really having a blast!
Everything comes assembled and the batteries are included. The packaging is ok but for the dreaded packaging wires holding the cars in place.』

『We bought this unit to hide our gaming equipt. and house the drum kit for rock band. It has worked great in both aspects. The only downside is that the posts that the drums mount on were bent out a bit and were also a bit too big to slide on the drums easily. My husband bent the poles back in and then we used wd40 to slide the drums on fully, which is a must b/c if they aren't fully seated on the mounting poles the top will catch on them (something that others have complained of in other reviews). Otherwise everything is working great and all our stuff is stored in one spot finally!』

『I had been eyeing the Rock Box for quite a while, as when it initially came out I thought
it was a bit spendy. Since then it has come down quite a bit in price. I finally caved
and bought it and was pleasantly surprised.

About Me: I typically play drums on hard and have a tendency to play the kit hard.
The regular rock band 2 kit has a tendency to drift on me, which I counter with a rug
and some hand weights.

The Rock Box is solidly constructed, and very easy to transition into drumming with. You can't
really tell from the description on this, but the lid doesn't come off, its on hinges that allow
it to slide forward, which i really liked since it kept everything together. One weird item not shown
in the picture is this odd thin pad that velcros to the bottom of the ottoman which is supposedly meant
to form a seat with the lid of the box. I dont see the point of this, and have put the pad in the basement.

Pros:
* Smart design, easy to take out and put away even for a lazy person like myself.
* Lots of room for other equipment, i put my two guitars, mic, mic stand in there
with no problems.
* Leather looks fine. I with they had it in the dark brown like it was originally advertised, but I
will get by with black.
* Special slots for guitars make it super easy to access them.
* No more instrument clutter!!!

Cons:
* This probably needs to be used like a coffee table considering its size, but the top is not
super firm. I'm shopping for a serving tray so that i could put drinks on it without them tipping over.
* Wooden feet could use rubber on the bottom to reduce kit slide and also to not scuff my wood floors.
* That extra seat pad thing is pointless.
* Although my mic stand fit okay since it was a straight pole, there wouldn't be a way to fit a boom
mic style stand.
* Still need to solve the kick pedal not being attached issue. As long as it is directly in front of
me its fine, but it tends to drift when off to the side. Might buy an after market replacement.
* Will not fit the add-on cymbal kit (rock box lid doesn't want to close with those attached. I hated
the add-on cymbals anyway, so this was not a problem for me. But if someone came out with add on cymbals that easily detached there is plenty of storage space for them.』

『I ordered this desk mostly because of the price. The desk is great, didn't take a lot of time to put together. Anyone can do it. The only thing is look at the steps and pictures. If you just like jumping in and figuring out, you're just asking for a headache. The main part of the desk is adjustable. It also has stoppers on the ends just for safety. That is good feature, but could be a problem if you have controls and ports on the front end of your notebook. Like I do. I have the volume, wifi on/off button, media card slot, head phone and mic port located there. You would need to adjust the desk to avoid it sliding down and have the port covered, if you need to access them. I don't use them much, so it's not a problem for me.

I use the alternate desk for my mouse and some stationary items. I see other reviewers have had problems with adjusting the height of the desk. I see how this a problem with the desk, but I just adjusted it once during construction and didn't need to readjust it anymore. Really, it's not that difficult. Just unscrew the device, move up or down the desk and screw it back in. Simple. I do have to admit that this is not a good desk for "bed use" due to the short arm and overall construction, but it's great in every other way.』

『I chose this product out of many other similar alternatives that serve the same function due to the pricing.
Though I was missing a small part, it did not affect the function and performance as it was irrelevant to the overall use. I LOVE this product so far. It looks exactly as it does in the image, and has allowed me to lay in bed while using my computer.
My only advice to future customers is to truly read the directions (PICTURES, rather) and lay out how you will build BEFORE starting. I made several mistakes and had to repeat the undoing/redoing process.
However, the frustration and time it took me was WELL WORTH the hassle considering that the price/looks/function met my expectations. If anything, I would say it went beyond, as it looks much more pricier, modern, and high-tech. Despite my bedroom furniture being brown, it works. Note: The picture looks as though you can only use it on the right side of the bed, for right handed people, but in fact, it will rotate the other direction, allowing it for left-handed users for left side of the bed.

『The last time I bought a game that did not support any type of controller (joysticks, wheels, game-pads, etc) was back in the Windows 95/DOS days. With this game you can only use your keyboard! Save your money, buy something else! To make matters worse this game didn't even run right. As soon as I went to start a race the game crashed. I will never buy a game from Activision again! I contacted them for support and first got this runaround about this being some other brand of Activision product (like it matters that it may be from a "sister" brand, it still sucks and I will boycott them from now on) even though the box and ad had the name Activision on it! Support was a waste of time except that's where I found out that this trash does not have controller support. This was a total rip-off in my opinion and their cop-out (Activision's) saying that this game is something like an "Activision-Select" title just implies that they use the Activision name to sell the product then try to claim it's from somewhere else (like it's not their fault that it sucks!). Save yourself the aggravation and disappointment I had, STAY AWAY from this garbage!』

『I've tried ap mode as suggested, but i haven't gotten it to work for my ipod touch, dsi, or psp. Apparently something is wrong with the ip address any tips would be greatly appreciated. I've even tried using different hot spots that i know work, HELP ME!』

(Fits My Needs)
『I'd never been able to play any of my Nintendo DS games online before I bought this WiFi Adapter. Now, I can. I'd give this little tool 5 stars if only it were "plug and play" but it's not. The drivers must be installed from the CD. The included instructions are long, daunting and come in more languages than necessary. I found the read me on the disc to be a bit more helpful but as long as you know you need to install, it's pretty simple. Just open the folder for your operating system, run the installation and then configuration utility. The basic config is what we use for the Nintendo DS and works with my husband's iTouch as well. For PSP users, the Windows Zero Config needs to be used, I believe (another reviewer has instructions but I have not set it up for that).

When it's working, the adapter will light up. I used the advice to switch to "AP Mode" which resulted in a different light show. Additionally, you can specify the "network" name and either a WPA or WEP key to protect it from freeloading neighbours. The DS uses a WEP key which can be accesed from the Utility: Config>Security Setting>Auth Type 'Shared'>Encryption Type 'WEP' and I use a 26 character key. I'm no rocket scientist but I was able to bumble through it all in a few moments. After that, I was able to find and connect to the network with my DS (using the Connect1/2/3 not the Nintendo USB Connector tool) and play online for the first time ever. The single was at full strength; albeit, I was sitting right next to the computer.

I'm really sad I didn't invest in this Wifi adapter sooner. Now I can play online and upload all my stats!』
