Core2Duoノートレビュー 's review (Vinturi works) 『Surprised at how effective the vinturi was when used with red wine. Have not used with white wine. Would be a great gift for the wine lover on the family. Comes with a carrying bag』
(arrived broken) 『I am still waiting on my replacement aerator, because this one arrived with two hairline cracks in it that allowed wine to dribble out the little aerator holes, making a mess. My MIL has one, and I love hers (because it's not broken, and doesn't have those cracks). If it had arrived in working condition it would have five stars because it does just what it says it does when it isn't broken.』
(LOVE IT!) 『I found out about aerating wine about a month ago at a winery. I was just about to buy one at the winery when a young man told me to wait and buy the Vinturi Wine Aerator. I went home and ordered this from Amazon.com. My husband and I absolutely love it. You can certainly taste the difference when pouring the wine through this device first. I have now gone back and bought one for my sister for Christmas. It's a great conversation piece at a party too!』
(It Really Works) 『We're long time wine drinkers and are very skeptical of this type of product. But after trying one that a friend had, we were convinced it was the real thing and bought one for ourselves and 4 more as gifts for our wine drinking friends. It won't make a bad wine taste better, but it does help a good wine (especially one that is young) to quickly open up and make it more flavorful.』
(It actually works!) 『We were given our Vinturi Wine Aerator as a gift and had doubts about whether it would actually make a difference. Well, the difference is amazing. A friend of ours who was visiting from Botswana did a "before and after" taste test. He then ordered four (4) of them to take back to Africa for himself and his friends. We've also bought two more as Christmas gifts.』 『Wine needs to breathe to allow it to open up, release its intended aromas, and of course, make it taste better. Vinturi's patent pending design speeds up this process by instantly aerating with ease and convenience. The perfect aeration in the time it takes to pour a glass of wine.』

Hamilton Beach
Usually ships in 24 hours Core2Duoノートレビュー 's review (Overall: excellent slow cooker) 『The Hamilton Beach 33967 Set 'n Forget 6-Quart Programmable Slow Cooker is fantastic; I wanted a slow cooker that would automatically stop cooking when I wanted it to, so I didn't have to plan on being home when the cook time finished. The programmable time feature is very helpful, and it turns on warm automatically when the cooking is finished so that I have my warm meal when I get home automatically.
Pros: - Programmable, can set low or high temperatures for a set period of time, or even use a built-in thermometer probe - Has latches that allow you to secure the lid to the slow cooker unit, so you can transport the entire cooker with food for a potluck or other event - Large 6-quart capacity is fantastic for making large meals at once
Cons: - Slow cookers should be filled halfway at least, so this cooker is not necessarily suitable for making smaller meals - Cord is very short, so must be placed within a foot or so of an outlet』
(Be Aware the cord is very short) 『Just got this item after reading all the positive reviews. None of the reviews that I read alerted me to the miserably short cord. It would work fine for an outlet behind it on a counter. But if you have to reach further, forget it. It won't reach an outlet on the front of our kitchen island, even with the pot right up against the counter's front edge. So you need to resort to an ugly extension cord. The Kitchenaid has a nice long 4 foot cord, with storage underneath, but it has many negative reviews about cracking pots. One other negative: Many reviews highlight the positives of the locking lid, but few note how clumsy the clips are when you don't want to use them, and just wish they would get out of the way. As one review noted, a modest design change in the handles would have allowed the clips to drop safely out of the way of hands and pot-holders. Odd that Hamilton Beach would let minor design flaws cheapen a good product, especially since the competition costs far more!!』
(Possibly a defective model but....) 『I think that my model might be defective and I am returning it but thought I would leave a review anyway. I used this product twice and used the programmable function. Both times I tried to cook on low for 8-10 hours. It would switch itself back to manual mode High. I tried to use the manual mode on low and it would switch itself to high. I read the other review prior to buying this on and a few of the others had the same complaint that it would switch itself to high or warm. I will be ordering another brand. In general though it did a great job cooking the 2 dishes that I prepared, but on high....thankfully I was home both days I used to, otherwise I would have had seriously overcooked food.』
(Great Product) 『We have used the Hamilton Beach Set 'n Forget Programmable Slow Cooker now for a month and can't imagine not having it now. We replaced a ancient Rival that worked fine but looked it's age and was a pain to clean and store. The programmable controller on the Set 'n Forget is very easy to operate and the horizontal oval design lets you lay a chicken or roast flat. The exterior finish, lid and removable pot are easy to clean. We have never had a programming issue or unknown failure to cook as stated in another review although we haven't experienced an extended power failure while cooking. We have had a power blip or two which didn't cause a loss of programming. The unit confirms that it is cooking immediately after you enter your program. The low temp "keep warm" feature is very nice. I hope it lasts as long as the Rival.』
(So far I love this!) 『I have had this slow cooker for a few months now and love it so far. It is also really nice looking. I will be buying at least one as a Christmas gift.』 『Features: 3 choices for easy, automatic cooking: Probe, Program and Manual. Thermometer probe for meat. Clip-on spoon. Clip-tight gasket lid. Easy, automatic cooking. Full-grip handles. Power interrupt protection. Removable stoneware.』

Corelle
Usually ships in 2 to 3 days Core2Duoノートレビュー 's review (Great value - and well-packed for shipping) 『I bought three of these sets the other day at a great price (Gold Box deal) here at amazon. Then I read a bunch of reviews about badly packed and broken sets having been delivered, and got worried that I was going to receive three boxes of broken pieces!
Today all three sets arrived, completely intact and undamaged. Each set was packed in a strong box with custom-designed cardboard internal packing materials that kept the dishes from rattling around. That strong (reinforced) cardboard carton was packed inside an outer cardboard box, and the modest amount of extra space filled with those inflated air cushions. Usually I wouldn't comment on the packaging when writing a product review, but there were enough negative reports about breakage that I wanted to mention that my experience was quite positive in that respect.
As to Corelle, either you like it or you don't. I do, but this is my first time to go all out and replace my main dishes with Corelle ones. I've had a few Corelle dishes that are still going strong after several years, and I like them so much I decided to get rid of my other dishes when I saw a great price on these sets here at amazon. I knew already from reading these reviews, that the mugs are stoneware and not the same material as the rest of the stuff, so I wasn't surprised. The mugs aren't awful, but I just don't care for them nor do I need them. I'm delighted to get these sets at a good price, and to pass my old set of dishes on to a neighbor's kid who can use them.』
(Excellent Dishes) 『I've had these dishes for about 5 years now. They're awesome! They're compact and take up 1/2 the space my previous set used. They fit nicely in the dishwasher too! Because they're thin the water circulates well and all the dishes are clean clean clean! LOVE THEM!! I'll never buy anything else. I do wish the patterns were a little more exciting though. I just have the winter white set. I'd love to get them in a nice pattern but the current patterns don't appeal to me.』
(Best Dishes) 『I love these dishes! I dropped them multiple times and they have never broke. They look like they are still brand new with no chips or anything on them. I wouldn't buy any other dishes.』
(Excellent and Durable) 『I bought this set because I was tired of getting cheap plates at Target that always came with something broken in the box. These plates don't break and are extremely durable. I was so pleased with them that I bought a second set. However, the plates are not terribly decorative. I got around this by buying fancy place mats and napkins. I wouldn't propose these plates as wedding china, but for everyday use, they are superior.』
(Corelle ware winter frost 16 pc set) 『This set is nice, I bought 33 sets to use in our new 46 bed homeless shelter. I am surprised the mugs are thick and not the same as the bowls and plates. They sort of match, but not great and I think they are regular ceramic. Overall, it's what we wanted and Amazon sells it at a great price.』 『
A basic white dinnerware set goes great in any kitchen decor
Service for four includes Dinner Plate, Soup/Salad bowl, cup and saucer』
『Since Corelle is famous for producing dinnerware and bakeware that cannot be broken or chipped, it's hard to resist holding a plate without wanting to drop it on the tile floor to see what happens. While Corelle doesn't recommend home tests, this casual 16-piece dinnerware set is still fairly indestructible and is a real asset for busy families. Livingware is easy to maintain as it's dishwasher-, microwave- and oven-safe and is never off-limits for small children to use and handle because of its light weight and durability.
The set is comprised of four 10-1/4-inch dinner plates, four 6-3/4-inch bread-and-butter plates, four 18-ounce bowls, and four 11-ounce mugs. Plates and bowls are all made of Corelle's signature material, Vitrelle, which is created from three layers of glass that are compressed under extreme heat and laminated for strength. On the other hand, the mugs in this set are crafted of Corelle's stoneware, which is actually breakable and has a heavier feel than Vitrelle. For diners who recall Corelle patterns as being decorated with rather cutesy floral and fruit patterns, this simple, pure white pattern is sure to appeal to their modern preferences. Livingware plates and bowls sport a relaxed and rimless coupe shape and are all stackable for more efficient storage. Corelle warrants this dinnerware pattern against cracks, chips, breakage, and staining for a full year from the date of purchase.--Cristina Vaamonde

Reunion
Usually ships in 24 hours Core2Duoノートレビュー 's review (Great! ----Again) 『Once again, Casting Crown has moved me with their music. The melodies grab my attention to listen to the inspirational messages.』
(All I had hoped for and more...) 『I spend a lot of time in my car and have been waiting, not very patiently, for this release. Casting Crowns can bring me into the presence of the Lord like no other group. The lyrics speak with such reverence. Their music is just my style. I am so blessed by this CD. It will be worn out no doubt. I might as well order a back up now.』
(A Real Let Down for This Fan) 『Like so many others, I discovered Casting Crowns with their debut CD. Their mix of worship, challenge, and encouragement have made all three of their previous releases some of my favorites in recent years.
Their latest disc focuses almost exclusively on worship music. Frankly, I've always felt that was their weakest element. This disc doesn't do much to change my mind.
It's not that the lyrics and the ideas are bad. They just aren't nearly as solid as they are when they are calling out the church or encouraging us. There is no "What If His People Prayed" or even "East to West" here.
Not that the songs here are bad. "Until the Whole World Hears" is a call to keep preaching the gospel. "To Know You" reminds us of all we can have in Christ. "Holy One" is a fast praise song based partially around Psalm 63. And as a bonus 12th track, we get "Shadow of Your Wings," which is an early incarnation of that song. Frankly, I like both versions. And they have a new arrangement of the classic "Joyful, Joyful" that I really enjoy.
But my favorite song on the disc is "Jesus, Hold Me Now." What's interesting is the verses are from their song "The Prodigal" from their second disc. They've given it an all new chorus and melody. If you didn't know, you'd say they wrote this song from scratch.
The other problem this disc has is the music. Too many of the songs use the same tempo and instruments. It lets them blend together instead of standing out so I can really connect with them.
After listening to it constantly for two days, I can say I like it. I just don't love it like I have their previous releases. Hopefully, this is an anomaly and not a sign of things to come from this great group.』
(Fabulous God-honoring music) 『Most people will likely buy this CD for the title track which delivers a very compelling message to spread the Gospel of Christ. This song is all over KLOVE and you can probably sing it all by heart before you even own the CD. That is all good stuff, but what I really love about this CD are the songs that come after the popular title track. These are the songs that bring me back to this CD over and over again on a single trip in the car and then have me playing it on my stereo when I get home.
"Mercy", "Blessed Redeemer" and "Glorious Day" are more worshipful and less "rocky" than we are accustomed to from Crowns, but perhaps that is part of what makes them so powerful. The 30- and 40-something crowd will recognize "Glorious Day" as a remake (by Mark Hall) of the old hymnal standard "One Day." I always loved the hymn, but man! I love this remake even more! It screams of Christ's sacrifice for and promise to us. "Mercy" and "Blessed Redeemer" each feature Crowns' female background vocalists as the lead. Both women have beautiful, unforgettable voices which only enhance the messages of their respective songs. When is the last time your really thought about God's mercy for you? "Mercy" will make you think all day long and praise God for it. It is worshipful and prayerful. "Blessed Redeemer" reminds us of Christ's painful sacrifice to save us. We don't like to think about it, but sometimes we need to.
Bottom line: Definitely worth your investment, not for the outstanding title track but for the worshipful, God-honoring music that follows it.』
(good, but not great) 『Let me start by saying I loved Casting Crowns' previous CDs. But, this one lacks some oomph. It doesn't have the same energy of the others. The title song "Until the Whole World Hears" is the best&there are a few other good ones too. But, most of the songs are slow-paced&don't have the same feel/sound that their albums have. I've only listened to it once through, so maybe my opinion will change more in favor of it. The lyrics are good, more of a praise album than the others.』 『Amid nearly 4.5 million career album sales, numerous awards and consistent chart topping radio success in an unprecedented six year span, Casting Crowns' lead singer and songwriter Mark Hall has never strayed from the group's main purpose:'Present disciple-ship through music'. The result with each new song collection is a fresh, relevant perspective on our life journey. It's this unwavering pursuit that has inspired Casting Crowns' latest release,Until the Whole World Hears, an offering of encouragement, challenge, hope and truth to a world in need.』 『2009 album from the Contemporary Christian band led by singer songwriter Mark Hall. This album is really bad as you can see from the reviews. A year from now there will be another adorable teen with mediocre vocals who drives all the little girls crazy. Till then we are stuck with this kid.』
(Ah-dorable!) 『Justin is obviously harmless. Not sure why these adults are commenting like that...apparently they haven't been following him. He means no harm if you have been watching behind the scenes and other videos you would know. I'm not even sure he realized the lyrics would make an adult cringe. Though he obviously wanted teenage girls to listen. Now that Im thinking he is probably aware that his voice may be a little high-pitched so he tried slippin' some not so good lyrics in to sound older. Personally I say there is absolutely NOTHING to worry about. He's adorable and I will watch hom forever. I have been trying to find tickets but he is going to some very random locations. You cannot go wrong with this CD. He is a born star. I love you Justin<3 Keep it up! =]
Go to [...] to find out how he responded to his "world being centered around young love"
I love him =] He makes my heart cry3』
(Computerized abomination!) 『When I first heard that this kid was going to make a CD, I laughed. First of all, he can`t sing. I mean, does he really need to make us listen to this computerized abomination? I mean, really! Next, he has about the worst voice that I have ever heard. That's basically what the whole album is about. Pathetic garbage. Please, for the sake of humanity and for the future of real music, don't buy this CD. You'll regret it if you do, trust me. 』
(Can't sing) 『Just listen to the samples. His voice is altered/corrected with that auto-tune crap. He's a good looking kid, but that's about it.』
(The next Justin Timberlake or Usher? No.) 『Justin Beiber started off as a Youtube star when he started posting videos. I saw a few of his video's and they were ok. I never really expected Usher to sign him. I bought the CD expecting to find something good since he is linked to Usher. But to my luck the whole CD is repetitive and boring and he keeps singing the same thing. Save your money and time and listen to someone else.』 『2009 debut from the young multi-talented singer, musician and Usher's teen prot,g,. An old soul is the last thing you would expect to find inside Justin Bieber. But all it takes is one listen to the 15-year-old Soul-singing phenomenon to realize that he is light-years ahead of his manufactured Pop peers. The album features production from The-Dream and Tricky Stewart. The first single, 'One Time,' produced by Tricky, is about one of Justin's favorite topics, puppy love. Usher joins Justin on 'First Dance,' where the two share verses on a song that Bieber describes as ''a slow groovy song that people can dance to.'' On the Midi-Mafia-produced 'Down To Earth,' Justin digs deep to talk about growing up. 'Bigger' finds the teenage singer maturing at a steady rate while motivating his listeners to strive for their goals.』

(A maturing Rodrigo y Gabriela) 『This grows on you.Not as strident or innovative on first listenings but definitely improves.Quite a sophisticated and maturing CD for the pair, with the fullest backing they have ever had .Ron』
(Incredible) 『Rodrigo y Gabriella have been huge in Europe for a while now, and I am super-jealous. You can hear their metal roots in the perfect rhythms played out on nylon and steel string acoustic guitars. Their use of effects and technique makes me sit in awe. I think Buster Voodoo made me pass out when I heard it the first time. This is one of those CDs that is completely worth buying if you like one song... you WILL like more. And its an awesome deal!!』
(Continuous Play) 『I purchased this CD for my husband for his birthday. He had seen a You tube video of these artists and thought he would like their music. That was an understatement. The CD went into his car player the day after his birthday and he has been listening to the CD on continuous play ever since (approx 6 weeks). I'd say it's a hit!! It's very hard to find gifts that he really likes, so this CD must be somethng special.』
(Amazing talent--great value) 『I couldn't believe I got a great CD full of music plus a documentary DVD for less than many CDs cost. What a deal! The tunes on this CD are not typical instrumentals; they have the feel of rock and roll--full of energy and drive, pushed by Gabriela's amazing ability to pound out a complex rhythm and play chords at the same time. And Rodrigo is an an incredibly skilled guitarist, carrying the melodies--sometimes with unbelievable speed and precision.』 『The long awaited follow up to their 2006 self-titled debut, which has enjoyed worldwide sales in excess of half a million albums. Core2Duoノートレビュー 's review (Looking for the Michael Flately) 『I have been looking for the original Riverdance spirit and Michael's performance. I bought the book and the CD of the music, but I wanted Michael Flately's performance, not Colin Dunne's and all the extra junk that has been shoveled into the show. It was all I could have wished for and more.』
(Riverdance Live from New York City) 『I bought 2 Riverdance Live from New York City. I purchased them from two different sources. One was great. The other one had no music. I sent an email to the defecive seller and they sent me instructions on how I might be able to get the music to come on. However, I haven't figured it out yet.』
(RIVERDANCE) 『 I ORDERED DVD AND MERCHANT SENT VHS. WHAT A WASTE OF POSTAGE』
(Disappointed) 『I bought this DVD to replace my VHS tape because I thought it would be better quality and easier to skip around between tracks.
Wrong on both counts. This is NOT HD quality by any stretch of the imagination. It is very grainy on my $20,000 home theater system. The movement is jerky at times, and honestly is LESS impressive than my five year old VCR tape.
Furthermore, the videographer skips around, often showing just the faces of the performers when this is a DANCE video, not a beauty contest. Granted, Jean Butler is a beautiful woman, but her feet say things her smile simply cannot.
Additionally, when I go to the SCENE SELECTION page, I found it impossible to navigate to individual scenes. It's hard to explain what I mean, but trust me, this feature does NOT work on any of my three DVD players. So, you have to just start on the first, use the SKIP button, and hope it stops at the right place.
Curiously, no sound was produced on my Panasonic DVD player, but it did work on my other two.
I am very disappointed at the quality and videography of this version of Riverdance. I LOVE this show, and will simply go back to my VCR tape which is the best I've found to date.
If you want to buy a Riverdance DVD, I would suggest one of the other options.』
(riverdance again) 『what's not to like, michael flatley and riverdance, great combination. Was sent on time and in great condition. A++++』 『Riverdance--The Showis a cultural phenomenon that defies criticism for the enthusiastic and leaves everyone else scratching their heads. The wonderfully talented cast, headed by the Riverdance Irish Dance Company, bewitchingly spins (and stomps) its Celtic folk choreography featuring numerous breathless solos by Michael Flatley (since departed) and Jean Butler. The mellifluous Riverdance Orchestra boasts Davy Spillane, who coaxes plaintive lamentations out of a peculiar instrument that resembles a bagpipe in a metal leg brace. For Enya fans, there is the sound-alike choral group Anuna, who casts a similarly New Age-style vocal spell. Also thrown into the mix are such disparate folk traditions as American gospel and Spanish flamenco. Though it's only 70 minutes long, Riverdance is repetitive by half. But judging from the ecstatic audience ovations and the continued foot-stomping during and after the curtain calls, too much is still not enough.--Richard Natale』
Core2Duoノートレビュー 's review (A Classic) 『If you are new to this film, be warned that it's long. It's also a film buff's movie, packed to it's cinematic gills with homages and references. Those who love film will feel bits and pieces of Once Upon the Time in the West, Claire's Knee (and most other New Wave films), Bergman (Ingrid and Ingmar) and on and on. It would take many viewings to tease out the complex web of annotations. And then, you would have to do it again for the various versions of the film that have been released over the years, each one longer than the last. However, if you are a lover of Rohmer you will be happy. My advice for the first timer is not to watch so seriously, but to just let it play on a lazy Sunday afternoon and relax. Maybe work a jigsaw puzzle while you watch it. The style allows the movie to become a small world for you to live in for a few hours, and one that you will miss when the credits roll.』
(My real name is Samuel Farber ...) 『 This film, Until the End of the World (UTTEOTW), has long been called the ultimate road movie or even the greatest road movie ever made. Sometimes when I read stuff like that I cringe and think that this film is far greater than that and calling it a road movie does it a sort of disservice. I've watched this film probably hundreds of times (hate to admit) and in every different format available and have weighed this film, measured this film and only found myself wanting to see it again.
Sure, the film spans 15 cities and 7 different countries and has more story arcs than Los Angeles has McDonalds but the more I watch the film the more I feel that this is less of a road movie and more of a biopic of the fictitious would-be scientist, Sam Faber and his over-bearing family.
I feel that UTTEOTW is a much greater contribution to modern film then most are willing to admit and could quite possibly be one of the greatest films ever made. This film has the same kind of public ground swell audience that Casablanca, The Wizard of Oz and Blade Runner have. All these movies preformed badly in the box office but are seen as some of best cinema that man or woman has been able to bring forward.
UTTEOTW has been seen by many to be a failure of sorts because of the immense runtime and the resolution set in Australia that is almost an entire third of the film, in all versions. It seems, historically now, that the studio execs thought that it would be inappropriate to subject any audience to five hours of film and that the American audience was too daft and wouldn't buy the whole concept, thus kicking off the mess that the film has gone through for almost twenty years now. Yes, it has been almost that long now.
The film in different edits, according to lore, has gone from a 20 hour version, that Wim Wenders had vehemently held position on for almost six months before acquiescing to releasing a `meager' 8 hour version and then later produced a 5 hour version. He was horrified when the studio forced a 151 minute version that he looks back at in complete disdain and refers to as the `Readers Digest version' and has stated that it is `unwatchable'. I don't know about the 8 and 20 hour version and which is better, because I and many others have not seen it, but I have seen the 5 hour version many times and now look at it as vastly superior (in presentation) to the theatrical release, but the theatrical release is far from unwatchable and is actually the version that the majority of the audience is familiar with and enjoy.
Wenders suffers from the same ills as Ridley Scott does, as he sees his films his way and not the way the world sees them, and that's perfectly fine. Ridley Scott doesn't like the Harrison Ford `Philip Marlowe' narration while an immense group of the fans loved it, myself included. Wenders doesn't like the theatrical release while most of the world is awed by it.
So, when the audience did see this film, it was the beginning of a new decade and Wenders, like Werner Herzog or David Lynch, had built up a core audience of supporters worldwide that appreciated his films for storytelling, the movement and the sheer reverence that seemed to manifest on screen. UTTEOTW came out at probably the very beginning of the emergence of the modern independent film movement that has now firmly taken over the industry. Even though they had budgeted $23 Million dollars for production, a lot of the funds came because of the acclaim given to Wings of Desire again with Solveig Dommartin, but the money didn't necessarily make this film the typical large-budget studio film that others were producing around the same time for the same funds when this came out. A quick search of movies released in 1991 shows an abysmal year aside from Jonathan Demme's masterpiece `Silence of the Lambs'.
This movie is undoubtedly Wenders greatest work, and I have watched every film he's put out - before and since. Sometimes I see glimpses of this film in his other works and can tell that this film's reception in the world still weighs heavily on his mind. Like Al Gore, he's traveled the globe giving lectures with his film and has his own ideas about its impact and what more can be done. It seems that some of the legal battles may never go away, specifically the ones that are associated with Warner Brothers.
Recently, a Region 2 PAL version was released into the market, and when I watched it I could tell it probably didn't have the stamp of approval from WB. The quality shows it to be almost a straight VHS transfer from a low-end computer system which puts a lot of visual noise on the screen and in the audio. Some people who have purchased this version have complained, but really I don't see anything wrong with it as it's just a full-frame DVD that will suffice for now for those looking for the 158 min on DVD.
My recommendation when it comes to versions is to purchase the 3 Disc Director's Cut set from Amazon.co.uk and just live with the fact that the first fifteen minutes of dialogue that's had with Solveig and Chico are in French with no subtitles. If you watch the film you can pretty much get the gist of what's being said anyways, Chico needs more beer, he likes the Beatles, sex and Solveig tells you how much you can buy a goat for in Ethiopia.
I had read in January of 2007 that Solveig had died of heart failure and was deeply saddened as I found her to be an incredibly unique talent and hypnotizing to see on the big screen. I would have loved to have seen her star in a few more films and even break back into the American marketplace. What a shame she's now gone, she'll be missed for sure.
I've put a list of all the different versions below, that are available and that I own, so you could get an idea of what's going on with this movie and its debacle of a distribution:
1991 VHS Tape Theatrical Release 158 mins 1991 R2 Samsung Japanese Laserdisc 179 mins 2004 PAL R2 Italian 3 Disc Set 280 mins 2004 PAL R2 UK 3 Disc Set Director's Cut 280 mins 2007 PAL R2 UK 1 Disc VHS Transfer 158 mins
Regarding the last release, I recently discovered that the difference in the run-time is due to PAL speed-up adjusting it 4%, from 158 mins to 151 mins.
For those in America interested in seeing these films but are worried about the DVD Regions / PAL difference. Don't fret because there are some very easy ways to set your DVD player to Region 0 which will make your player Region free and you can watch all movies from around the world. Videohelp dot com has most players remote codes which will help you easily make the adjustment. I've changed all my players this way and have been happy ever since.

(Brilliant) 『I have seen this movie in bits on the Tele now owning it I look so foward to sitting thru it in it's entirity. A very large bowl of *hotair* popped corn...no salt but some garlic melted into the butter a mug of hot chocolate and the phone off the hook. A complex movie but wonderful concepts and insightful projections of the future, all twixed into an adorable - Love Story -』
(Misunderstood classic) 『Wim Wenders established himself as the quintessential art house foreign film director in the 1980s. He had his critically claimed road movies and the well loved "Wings of Desire" under his belt. His style is hard to pin point, but if there is one word that could be used, it is exploration. Whether it be in travels or in the human condition, it is something that his characters do. "Until the End of the World" epitomizes exploration, and consequently, begs for repeat viewings.
The title itself holds so many meanings. There are two literal ones. The first being that the film involves a chase around the world for the elusive William Hurt character. The second being the fear that the world would end at the turn of the millenium.
But that doesn't even begin to scratch the clever layering of meaning within the film. Wenders loves exploring the depth of the characters, even after the chase is over, he lets us visit with them a little longer. While we're doing that, the characters are going deeper and deeper in trying explore themselves through the use of devices that allow people to see their dreams. And we do get to see this in the American 158 minute version. Although this is regarded by the director as a heavily truncated version of his vision, it's still highly watchable and entertaining.
The film is also notable for it's interesting look and concept. Wenders isn't venturing too far into the future here, but places subtle glimpses of what he felt it might look 9 years from when the film was made in 1991. He actually does a credible job and shows a genuine curiosity for science in this film.
This also boasts one of the best soundtracks period. Wenders has had some allegiances with some great bands or artists over the years. Included here are prominent Wenders collaboraters U2 and Nick Cave as well as a number of alternative icons like R.E.M., Elvis Costello, and the wonderful score by the nearly infallible Graeme Revelle.
The structure of the film can be very off putting for the regular film goer and I must admit that when I first watched it, it through me for a loop. Wenders is not satisfied with giving you merely a human drama or action story and is known for shifting gears in his films. What starts as cat and mouse chase story shifts into an exploration of the human condition through the use of dreams, looking into people's obsession with them. It makes for an odd watch that if you are pleased with, you might have another go round.
This is an excellent movie surely worthy of another look and possibly a DVD release. It wasn't well understood when it came out and Wenders grand idea probably wasn't ready for the US quite yet. I'd be willing to give this film another while, be it the 158 minute version or 280 minute trilogy version available in other regions. While many may disagree, I do think Wenders succeeded in creating his ultimate road movie - and a little bit more.』 『Shot on location in numerous countries, this ambitious Wim Wenders fantasy takes Sam Neill, Solveig Dommartin, William Hurt, and a ragtag group in pursuit around the world and back again. Though set in 1999 under the shadow of impending disaster as a wobbly nuclear satellite threatens to Chernobyl the planet, the leisurely gait of their worldwide escapades has a distinctly '40s-era decadence. The ultimate object of their quest is a machine that records visual information from one person and reconstructs it in the brains of others--granting the miraculous power of sight to the blind for one thing, but even more mystically, enabling a person's dreams to be recorded. When the film seeks resolutions on the most intimate questions of the human soul which dovetail with the possibility of a destroyed world, the film is hampered by the VHS running time, which subtracts several hours from the laser disc version. But numerous joys, not least among them Jeanne Moreau and Max von Sydow as Hurt's parents, inhabit this thought-provoking film.--Alan E. Rapp』
Core2Duoノートレビュー 's review (beware!! poorly manufactured....) 『PROS: Britta lost its certification for lead filtering since the requirements for lead by the NSF changed. I really liked the idea that the PUR filter filters out a much larger list of contaminants as compared with the Britta which only filters out three substances, LEAD not being one of them.(Note: PUR gets lead certification from another company, not NSF......stange)
CONS: filters very slowly, poor manufacturing, there are small, white, hair like pieces on around this filter, some I could wipe off with my finger, I'm not sure what they are, but didn't want my kids ingesting it. Also, there was some loose plastic and the filter itself looks scratched in the light. This made me worry about the integrity of the unit as a whole and I phoned PUR (Procter and Gamble) and they were very helpful and would look into the problem.
I landed up getting a refund from them, but I would really like to see a well manufactured product that filters a broad range of substances......... ..??????? 』
(Filters work well) 『I've always though PUR filters did a better job than their competitors in terms of taste. The water is clean and tastes purified.』
(GREAT TASTING WATER) 『The PUR product makes water taste so much better than the "other" brand. It just has more flavor and tastes "cleaner." Hmmmm, good.』
(Simple and effective. 100% satisfied.) 『These filters couldn't be easier to use. They last me about a month and a half each. I drink a lot of water. They make the water taste much better. I can't say that I know, however, how effective these filters are at removing contaminants/impurities; I've never had the water tested. I use them because my home has some older pipes and I just want to be safe, and have better tasting water.』
(PUR Water Pitcher Filter) 『Although I am not a major water drinker, this water pitcher/filter system makes the water actually taste good. I drink it cold from the refrigerator, and I use it for tea, coffee, and even my Scottish Fold kitty likes it. The PUR products are great!』

I really like it because it was a good price, it came in the mail quickly, it doesn't take up a lot of space, and it does a good job. Some people may consider it noisy but you will definitely hear a constant fan sound. I don't mind it because I've had heaters like this in the past. I get used to it and tune it out. I just wish it had a timer! That would make it a 4.5. No noise would be 5 but again the noise does not bother me.』
(A great heater) 『This is a great heater and I am impressed with the amount of heat it puts out.』
(good item) 『works very well and heats up my room very quickly! also very quiet and energy efficient! definitely worth the price!』
(Buyer beware) 『I bought this item for work. A few moments after plugging it in, the fuse running all the computers blew. We all sat for at least a half hour, not working, because I wanted to be a bit warmer and foolishly bought this product. In addition, it is very loud and distracting. Now, that I would like to return it, I can't because I didn't try the product right away and the 30 days has expired. I can get a "partial refund" if I pay postage. But there is no way to tell exactly how much this "partial refund" is. Perhaps it's less then the the cost of the postage to return the crummy heater.
I've been taken. Don't let that happen to you too.』
(Big heat from little Footprint) 『I bought two of these for my two-bedroom apartment in Cleveland. It gets C-O-L-D here, folks! This unit takes the chill out of the air in a few minutes, but doesn't over-heat the surface it's on. I put them on the linoleum, on the carpet, on end-tables. With both units on medium, I can get the livingroom, diningroom, and kitchen up to 68 degrees in just about an hour - with outside temps in the 40's, and a drafty, century-old building! They are fairly quiet, considering the heat they put out, and I appreciate the safety features, since I'm always walking into them and knocking them over with my giant feet. They just shut down until I set them upright again. Nice, LONG cords on these puppies means I can get them anywhere with limited outlets. I'm looking forward to many toasty nights this winter, thanks to my Lasko heaters - WITHOUT running my gas-guzzling furnace!』 『Ceramic heater allows you to quickly and easily find just the right temperature for your home or office. It tells you how much elec. an item is using and how much has been used since it was plugged in. The only 2 things that I would mention that might be a negative are that it shows 3 watts being used when the item is plugged in with nothing connected to it. I am guessing that is how much electric is needed to run the device. And the more annoying issue is that it looses the recorded data instantly when it is unplugged. Don't forget this one, it will bite you. I wish they would have at least put in a short term memory and a reset button. But, it is not really a issue if you remember to look before you unhook it. Over all, I have no problem giving it 5 stars.』
(Nice item to review your electrical use) 『Overall, I was quite pleased with this item. Simple to use, just plug in the your electrical device and push the watt button and you can see how many watts it's consuming. I used it to see just what my TVs and computers were using when I turned them off. I find my cable box uses as much energy turned off as it does turned on!
While it does plug right into a wall socket, I found it more convenient to put it on a short extension cord.』
(Useful, but) 『Does what it says it will and will help us understand our power usage. However, with the display set flat in the surface, it is hard to read when in use. Think that most wall plugs are down low, or at best, at counter level. In each case the viewer must bend to align their view with the display. A display tilted upward would be an improvement.』
(P3 International P4400 Kill A Watt Monitor) 『This really does work, but the problem is that there is no easy way to put this in a plug if the plug is behind something. Obviously houses have things in them, so that is a little disappointing, but this does work well. I think that it helps in understanding which appliances and electronics are sucking out the most energy, but the problem is if you have a ton of surge protectors, then unplugging and plugging all your things is a hassle. I think there should be a surge protector Kill A Watt which and determine how much energy is being used by each socket.』
(Neat Device - Could be better) 『This is a pretty neat device that measures how many watts a device is using and keeps a total of kilowatt hours used over time (critical for things that use power in bursts like a refrigerator). I used it to measure how much power my HDTV receiver was using while it was turned off (15 watts!) and calculated that by using a remote control surge protector and unplugging the HD receiver when not in use, I can pay for the surge protector in 3 years. I was happy to learn that the standby power of my DVD player and home theater receiver were minimal. My old VCR uses a couple of watts just sitting there. I figured out that it costs me 2 cents to brew one cup of coffee.
So this is a great thing that will keep you entertained for a couple of days and give you some good information. Then you should lend it out to everyone you know! Let everyone audit their own energy use. Every library or fire station should have these to lend out to people. Okay, off my soapbox now.
The device itself needs some improvements. I know this is the low-end model and I appreciate that it is fairly inexpensive. But there is no reason in the world for this thing to block both plugs in a standard outlet. Yes, you can get an extension cord, but the design should be better. I was a little annoyed that it has three prongs, but I admit they probably don't have a choice since some devices that you plug in to it will need a ground. Second, just plugged in to the wall, the Kill a Watt reads 3 watts. While that is great to know, it totally messes up all the readings. My VCR on standby reads 5, but 3 of that is the Kill a Watt. Why do I want to know that? It should not be counting itself and I imagine that it also includes its own power usage in the kilowatt-hour running total. Memory and backlighting would be fine additions, but I don't really want to pay extra for them.
So I think it can be useful for tracking down energy vampires (my laptop uses one sixth as much power as my desktop computer; I don't think I'll buy another desktop). It would be best if you can find somebody and borrow this from them, but if not this is a good purchase.』 『Connect your appliances into the Kill A Watt, and assess how efficient they are. A large LCD display counts consumption by the Kilowatt-hour just like utility companies. You can figure out your electrical expenses by the hour, day, week, month, even an entire year. Monitor the quality of your power by displaying Voltage, Line Frequency, and Power Factor』

(A splendid updating on Blu-ray of one of the all-time classics) 『I give the new Blu-ray five stars despite being a little irritated with the lack of an option to buy a nice, single disc version of hte Blu-ray. I got all of the set through Netflix and saw it that way. I would very much like to won THE WIZARD OF OZ on Blu-ray, but I'm going to hold out for a less expensive single or two-disc edition. Mind you, I like the film; but that is what I like, the film not disc after disc of extras that for the most part are repackagings of earlier editions.OK, that is my beef, and having made it, let me move on.
The Blu-ray is a definite improvement in the overall quality of the film, though not as much as one might have hoped for if you have watched the DVD on a up-conversion DVD player. This is not a problem restricted merely to this. Most of the older classics seem to have reached the point of diminishing returns on DVD. Even epic films like John Ford's THE SEARCHERS shows minimal improvement on Blu-ray. Still, even if the improvement isn't as marked as on more recent films, it is still definite.
But frankly, I think I loved the movie just as much when I was a kid watching it on my parents' old black and white tube TV. We all know the story about the film these days, that it was a critical and box office failure when it first was released. And we know all the stories about it. Buddy Ebsen being forced to drop out of the project when the make up that was sprayed on him caused a serious lung reaction. How Judy Garland took over the role when a deal to trade Jean Harlow and Clark Gable to Warner Brothers for a film so that MGM could get Shirley Temple, a deal that fell through when Shirley Temple died. We know all the songs, all the skits, and a host of the lines. And most importantly we have experienced firsthand how the film became a hit years after its first release because of its annual showings on television, hosted by Olivia DeHavilland (which never made a great deal of sense to me, since he had no connection to the film and had spend her studio career with Warner Brothers rather than MGM). Television was responsible for THE WIZARD OF OZ being the hit it became. But despite its success in the television era, it is almost impossible to understand how it failed to become an instant classic. The songs are irresistible, the performances classic, and the art design unmatched at the time. Scene after scene is filled with one perfect touch after another, like a peacock that strolls around in the background when Dorthy and the Scarecrow meet the Tin Man for the first time. Or the way the Cowardly Lion's tail twitches all the time (it is a subtle effect, but imagine how static he would be if he tail always drooped). It is a beautifully structured film, marvelously photographed, and beautifully scripted. The entire production is magical.
And this is a film that generations share. I remember vividly the terror I felt as a child watching Dorothy's friends come after her in the witch's fortress. Nothing in my childhood scared me more than Later it was the first movie that I watched with my daughter on TV (barely verbal at the time, she for several weeks referred to the film as "Scary Apples," for obvious reasons). My daughter probably watched the movie on VHS a hundred times minimum, largely because Dorothy was at the time one of the few female heroes around (this was before the Era of Buffy), and when she and I were stranded on a ski lift that was stopped during a sudden lightening storm immediately outside Flagstaff, Arizona, I kept her calm by retelling the entire movie, no mean feat given the lightening flashing all around us (though thankfully there was little rain).
This truly is one of those classics that it is impossible to imagine going away. The film is, if anything, as popular today as it has ever been. And conversions of it into new media like this new Blu-ray will guarantee that each generation will continue to rediscover it.』
(A favorite) 『The Wizard of Oz, being the classic film that it is, deserves to be well done. I'd gotten used to seeing the substandard version and just assumed that "fuzz" was normal. I had a few film buffs with me when we first viewed the Anniversary Digital Copy [Blue-ray] and what a difference it made. We all saw things for the first time that couldn't be seen in previous video viewings. Great!!!』
(THE WIZARD OF OZ) 『LOVE THE BLU-RAY VERSION. THE DIFFERENCE IS INCREDIBLEThe Wizard of Oz (70th Anniversary Ultimate Collector's Edition with Digital Copy) [Blu-ray]』
(Nice extras but DRM prevents it from playing on my PC) 『I'd like to say the video quality was spectacular but unfortunately this Blu-ray movie won't play on my PC using ArcSoft Total Media Theater 3 Platinum. (I'm feeding it into a HDCP projector) I am just about ready to throw in the towel and buy a regular player. This may be the last Blu-Ray movie I buy. It's no wonder people are pirating movies, they play on everything!』 『Studio: Warner Home Video Release Date: 09/29/2009 Run time: 101 minutes Rating: G』 『When it was released during Hollywood's golden year of 1939,The Wizard of Ozdidn't start out as the perennial classic it has since become. The film did respectable business, but it wasn't until its debut on television that this family favorite saw its popularity soar. And whileOz's TV broadcasts are now controlled by media mogul Ted Turner (who owns the rights), the advent of home video has made this lively musical a mainstay in the staple diet of great American films. Young Dorothy Gale (Judy Garland), her dog, Toto, and her three companions on the yellow brick road to Oz--the Tin Man (Jack Haley), the Cowardly Lion (Bert Lahr), and the Scarecrow (Ray Bolger)--have become pop-culture icons and central figures in the legacy of fantasy for children. As the Wicked Witch who covets Dorothy's enchanted ruby slippers, Margaret Hamilton has had the singular honor of scaring the wits out of children for more than six decades. The film's still as fresh, frightening, and funny as it was when first released. It may take some liberal detours from the original story by L. Frank Baum, but it's loyal to the Baum legacy while charting its own course as a spectacular film. Shot in glorious Technicolor, befitting its dynamic production design (Munchkinland alone is a psychedelic explosion of color and decor),The Wizard of Ozmay not appeal to every taste as the years go by, but it's required viewing for kids of all ages.--Jeff Shannon

(MONSTERS, INC. has an unrivaled release on Blu-ray that is chock full of bonus material) 『Pixar's 2001 hit, MONSTERS, INC., continued the studio's tradition of creating wonderfully fantastical worlds of incredible imagination in design utilizing the very best in computer animation. What is the hallmark though of a Pixar film is the fact that the development of character is always at the forefront and is never relegated to existing on a superficial level in order to showcase the many hours of hard work that went into creating the animation. MONSTERS, INC. is of course a great buddy picture, pairing two opposites together, and setting them forth on their adventure. Just as Buzz Lightyear and Woody were teamed up to create such a memorable pair in the TOY STORY movies, so too does MONSTERS, INC. couple the diminutive and always frenetic and full of energy Mike Wazowski (Billy Crystal), with his enormous friend Sulley (John Goodman), the leading scarer at Monsters, Inc., a company that exists to provide electricity for Monstropolis by collecting the screams of children as the monsters pop out of the kids' closet doors at night. When a toddler, Boo, inadvertently follows Sulley back through the doorway and into the monsters' own world though, Sulley and Mike must set out to try and get her back to her own world while battling those in the company that have ulterior motives. The result is a wildly funny and dynamically original movie that exudes a tremendous amount of heart from its characters.
The voice casting of Crystal and Goodman is phenomenal, and the two play off of each other so well that they create some hilarious moments on screen. Both though are allowed to fully develop their characters, and the relationship between Mike and Sulley is given the freedom to grow and change throughout the film, and this is key to the story's success. Had the enormously talented Crystal's Wazowski only been seen as the comedic sidekick of Sulley, and never given the liberty to go through his own personal character arc, a much weaker picture would have emerged. Directors Pete Docter, David Silverman and Lee Unkrich though do not go for the easy gag, but rather stay true to each of the character's own motivations, thus allowing their relationship with one another to organically grow throughout the film. By doing so, the team of Mike and Sulley become one of the most memorable from the Pixar catalogue.
Seeing the film in HD at home with the Blu-ray release of the film is in a word, breathtaking. Even though the film is now almost nine years old, the animation in MONSTERS, INC. is still beyond compare. Not only is the world of Monstropolis so completely artistically original and populated with such unique interpretations of monsters, but the level of detail in the animation is staggering. Looking at some of the skin textures of some of the monsters will quickly illustrate how much time and attention to detail went into animating the film, but by far, the scene that best exemplifies just how good the animation in MONSTERS, INC. is involves Mike and Sulley being banished to the Himalayas. Here, the thick blue and purple fur that covers Sulley's body can be seen blowing in the winter storm as small pieces of snow become stuck within it. The animation in this scene alone ranks as among the best, and serves as a milestone in computer animation excellence. Being able to see it in HD at home will bring an entirely new level of admiration for what the filmmakers were able to achieve with the movie.
For the Blu-ray release, Disney is including four discs that include the Blu-ray version of the film, a DVD version, a digital copy and a Blu-ray disc of bonus features. There is so much value with this set, that it, along with the similar edition of UP that is being released on the same day, will prove to be must have Blu-rays for everyone's collection and are rightly sure to be one of the most popular gifts given this holiday season.
The bonus material included with MONSTERS, INC. is simply amazing, and will keep a viewer engaged for hours discovering the vast amount of supplemental material on the film. The bonus features include:

(Sheer fun - family entertainment) 『IMHO the two best Disney pictures of the past decade plus are Monsters Inc. and The Incredibles. (ok, Toy Story may come close, but it's primarily a boy's movie)
Monsters Inc. is VERY appropriate for boys or girls; and family viewing. I guarantee that both young and old will enjoy the story - and young children will not be frightened by these monsters. The heart of the movie is the relationship that develops between Sully (big blue fur ball) and Boo - the child that manages to enter the monster world. Children enjoy the fact that mosters are as afraid of children as human children often are of monsters. It's a real ground leveler. Though there are 'good' and 'bad' monsters in the show, good triumphs and it leaves everyone feeling happy in the end.
Disney sells a wonderful 26" stuffed Sully for about $30. If you want to make those little eyes light up this Christmas, consider a present including both the movie and the stuffed animal. It's guaranteed to make the most timid child unafraid of bedtime.』
(Cute Movie) 『This is one of he only Pixar movies I didnt own. I had to have it. Awesome movie. My three year old LOVES it. The disc was in great shape, and I got a steal-of-a-deal on Amazon.』
(This film has style) 『First, let me just say that it is a very, very good and funny movie, but I will come back to its many good points. I have to say that as a Pixar / Disney movie it lacked something from the pervious Toy Stories, but at first I could not quite put my finger on the problem. However after reviewing other digital movie I now can see the main problem. Lets start with Titan A.E. digital quality mostly excellent, however no realism in most scenes, other then the people which often seemed cartoonish. Final Fantasy, very, very good graphics the people very real, although the surrounding environment, was the Fantasy. Now Shrek not commenting on the story line, the environment from the grass to the buildings were just perfect, and put the unreal characters in a setting which MADE them real, so we felt that the film was real. Toy Story 1&2, again especially in the 2nd the environment was perfect, also because it was in a place which we all recognises (an average city) it made everything seem real. Now finally Monsters Inc, the graphics were another step up from Toy Story 2, however all the realism was gone. This was because of where the film was set, take the scene where Sulley and Wazowski are walking down the street, on the way they pass funny cars, a Jelly Monster, and a giant and you feel that the realism we got in Toy Story is lost. Having said that the world they created was very funny, and for a change you could feel in the graphics Disney's involvement, leading to many cartoonish environments, with a Pixar's touch. Having said all that this film was brilliant, and the graphics on the little girl `Boo' we excellent. I could comment on the fact that the story line is very predicable, but it's aimed at kids and so is very easy for them to understand. As I said earlier it is a very funny movie, with a lot more comedy then Toy Story had. All the characters have certain funny quirks and mannerisms, which adds to the laughs. Also I have to say that although John Goodman did a very good job as Sulley, for me Billy Crystal made the movie his own, as the voice of Wazowski bringing more then an extra dimension to the character. Although I have to say I didn't for some reason connect to the characters as I did with Toy Story, but that could just be me. Another thing that I have to point out is the ending, well after the ending, like Toy Story 2 there's funny outtakes, but then there more and takes credits to another level. I would recommend people to go and see the movie just to see the end, and was still sitting even when the screen went black waiting for more. Well to wrap up this review this film has style, great humour, a fine plot for kids, great graphics and more, yes go and see it.』 『From the Academy Award®-winning creators of TOY STORY comes the computer-animated film that captured the hearts of fans and critics everywhere. MONSTERS, INC., is "visually dazzling, action-packed, and hilarious" (Boston Herald), featuring groundbreaking animation, imaginative storytelling, and unforgettable voice talent. John Goodman stars as the lovable James P. Sullivan (Sulley) and Billy Crystal as his wisecracking best friend, Mike Wazowski. Top scarer Sulley and his enthusiastic Scare Assistant Mike work at Monsters, Inc., the largest scream-processing factory in Monstropolis. The main power source of the monster world is the collected screams of human children. Monsters believe children are dangerous and toxic, however, and they are scared silly when a little girl wanders into their world. Sulley and Mike do their best to return the girl home, but they face monstrous intrigue and some hilarious misadventures along the way. MONSTERS, INC., is "supremely clever -- fun for kids and adults alike" (CBS-TV). Treat yourself to the most entertaining movie of the year with all-new exclusive bonus features and animation for monster laughs and monster fun.』 『The folks at Pixar can do no wrong withMonsters, Inc., the studio's fourth feature film, which stretches the computer animation format in terms of both technical complexity and emotional impact. The giant, blue-furred James P. "Sulley" Sullivan (wonderfully voiced by John Goodman) is a scare-monster extraordinaire in the hidden world of Monstropolis, where the scaring of kids is an imperative in order to keep the entire city running. Beyond the competition to be the best at the business, Sullivan and his assistant, the one-eyed Mike Wazowski (Billy Crystal), discover what happens when the real world interacts with theirs in the form of a 2-year-old baby girl dubbed "Boo," who accidentally sneaks into the monster world with Sulley one night. Director Pete Doctor and codirectors David Silverman and Lee Unkrich follow the Pixar (Toy Story) blueprint with an imaginative scenario, fun characters, and ace comic timing. By the last heart-tugging shot, kids may never look at monsters the same, nor artists at what computer animation can do in the hands of magicians.--Doug Thomas』

(Review for Peter Pan DVD) 『Alysha Miller Block 3
"Come with me where you'll never, never have to worry about grown up things again." That quote, said by Peter Pan, starts a whole adventure with Peter and Wendy. In the movie, Peter Pan, Peter comes to Wendy's house and takes her and her siblings to Never Land, where no one ever grows up. Never Land is filled with pirates, mermaids, Indians, and fairies. Peter and Wendy go through many obstacles to defeat the villain, Captain Hook. One reason that you should buy this movie is because it is entertaining for everyone from kids to adults. The animated and imaginary land will be fun for kids, and the adults will enjoy the wonder of childhood. Also, you should buy this product because it is a Disney classic. It is one of Disney's most famous movies, and you can own it and have the ability to be a part of the magic Disney brings to every film it makes. Finally, you should buy Peter Pan because it will stay in your heart forever. The delightful tale of children just letting go and having fun will always be a reminder to have a good time instead of worrying about problems throughout all of your life. In conclusion, you should purchase Peter Pan because it is enchanting for everyone, it is a famous Disney film, and the concept will be with you forever. 』
(Without a doubt my fave Disney film!) 『I've liked all the version of Peter Pan made over the years (such as Hook, and more recently P.J. Hogan's Peter Pan), but Disney's 1953 version will always be my favorite. I've loved this movie since I was a young, and I still enjoy watching it today. The music is terrific, the animation is beautiful, and (despite what others may think) wonderfully depicts J.M. Barrie's classic novel about a boy who would not grow up. I would recommend this to anyone who enjoys classic Disney films and/or the original novel.
』
(BIG HIT WITH THE GRANDSON'S) 『THEY WANT TO BE PIRATES NOW..........dont make the mistake of not gifting your children or grandchildren(in my case) the Disney Classic's. You would be surprised how often bits of them are referenced in our adult world. .."Peter Pan syndrom" for one. Do you believe in fairies for another. The list goes on. Get them all.』
(Enjoyed) 『I bought this so I could share it with my 2 year old grandson. We enjoyed watching it together.』 『Three London children travel to Never Land for adventures with Peter Pan, the boy who refuses to grow up. Genre:Feature Film Family Rating:G Release Date:6-MAR-2007 Media Type:DVD』 『Peter Panhas a special place in the realm of classic animated Disney films: it instills an element of childlike wonder. The 1953 version of James M. Barrie's story is colorfully told and keeps on the straight and narrow of the book. Barrie's wondrous focus on child's play is the key to its longevity: kids who don't grow up, shadows that run away from their owners, pirates, a fairy, and the magic ability to fly. In short, you can't help wishing the adventure would happen to you. Fueled by a few memorable songs (the stunner being "You Can Fly") and the strong impression of the pixie fairy Tinkerbell and the goofy Captain Hook, Disney's version of this story neither supplants nor lessens the Broadway version with Mary Martin that was produced for television the same decade. Unlike some classics,Peter Pannever ages along the way.--Doug Thomas』

Usually ships in 24 hours Core2Duoノートレビュー 's review (great pedometer) 『This works exactly as it says it does. I put it in my pocket but you can put it in your purse as well. It keeps the steps walking and by aerobic steps. We just love it....I bought 4 and got one for my boss who loves to walk』
(makes exercise fun) 『The pedometer is small - fits in your pocket or on your belt. You can see at a glance how many steps - how many arobic steps - miles and calories you burn. Love that you can go back and see what you have done for the past week. Virtually indestructible. Also easy to set. Love this product.』
(Excellent value.) 『In trying to live a healthier lifestyle, I was curious about how much walking I do every day, and researched pedometers. I asked for this for Christmas last year and received it as a gift. I was additionally pleased when a Consumer Reports shortly thereafter listed it as a best buy.
I chose this unit over the less expensive models because of its two axis accelerometer vs. a single axis for the less expensive models. This means that you can carry it in a larger variety of orientations and still have it work correctly. I see now that Omron offers a three-axis model Omron HJ-303 GoSmart Tri-Axis Pocket Pedometer. I do not think this was available a year ago, or I would have likely asked for it instead. The only orientation in which the the HJ-112 will not work is with its body oriented parallel to the ground - unfortunately the orientation in which you would hold it to read it, so you either must stop reading or lose some steps while looking at it. I've also seen pedometers that clip to your shoelaces. I think that would be handy - when you have your shoes on, you have your pedometer, and it's out of the way. The fact that the HJ-112 won't work in this orientation precludes using it in this way, but its size would likely render it a bit unwieldy on the shoe. Anyway, with the two-axis accelerometer, you can pretty much toss this in a purse, backpack or pocket, and have it work, while a single-axis model typically needs to be attached solely to the hip.
The accuracy on counting steps is amazing. As an engineer, I wonder how the algorithms work that determine the number of steps. Clearly, it has to collect data for a few steps to determine the cadence, and then it starts counting. Do not worry however, it adds in those first steps so you don't miss anything.
The biggest disappointment has been the battery life. It has no power switch, so is effectively on all of the time. I don't know if it uses more power when counting steps or now. I wore it religiously for a few months after getting it, but after a while, mostly used it only when hiking. The original battery lasted about eight or nine months. Changing the battery loses your time, and step length settings, and requires a small jeweler's screwdriver to remove the battery. I don't know why the designers felt this necessary. The unit does some with a flat metal screwdriver. Of course, nine months and a move across the country later, I don't know where that is.
I was able to confuse the HJ-112 by bike riding with it. I did this experiment a year ago, so don't remember the exact outcome, but it seemed to either double or half the number of "steps" taken while pedalling. Just be aware if you are getting on and off a bike.
Omron now has the Hj-113 Pocket Pedometer. I cannot tell from the specs how it really differs from the HJ-112 except that it has one fewer button. In my opinion, many consumer electronic devices suffer from too few buttons, requiring difficult-to-remember sequences and multiple functions. I don't know if that the case with the HJ-113. They look awfully similar, so I doubt you can go wrong with either.
My druthers? Other than longer battery life, I can always wish it to be smaller, but I don't know if that's possible with the two-axis sensor design. It's size is one reason I quit carrying it regularly. Although it'll work in a pocket, the buttons are easily pushed, and I'm concerned about it getting scratched up with change, pens, pocketknives and various other pocket residents, so I typically wear it with its clip-on, snap-in cradle, and clip the lanyard to the edge of pocket, because it can, and on rare occasions, does, get knocked out of its cradle. When hiking, I just clip it to the shoulder strap on my daypack and it works wonderfully. Of course, my other druther would be a three-axis model, but Omron now covers that. At this point, however, I don't feel that it adds enough advantage to upgrade. The other Omron product worth mentioning is the Omron HJ-720ITC Pocket Pedometer with Advanced Omron Health Management Software which you need to step up to if you feel you need one that can download data to a computer. 』
(You could hardly ask for more) 『I purchased this pedometer after watching my friend's work very well for almost 2 years. No joke! I have these in the past, but they were the of the electronic variety and those types weren't the most accurate. I like this model because it works no matter where you put it, on your belt, in your pocket, or in your purse, it works. It counts steps, and once you calibrate the model it also tells you how far you walked, and then it will tell you how many aerobic steps you have taken.
This pedometer is packed full of features, a clock, it logs your steps for the past seven days along with everything you need to accurately log your steps. I can't say enough good things about this pedometer. Looking for a reliable pedometer that is easy to use, look no further!』
(works well..) 『I bought one and loved it then bought another for my partner. I think it keeps an accurate record of my daily steps, both aerobic and regular. Good price, great product.』 『An advanced technology pedometer that can be carried in your pocket, bag or be attached t』 『The Omron HJ-112 Pocket Pedometer is an advanced, high-tech pedometer that--thanks to unique dual sensor technology--can be carried in your pocket or bag. Now you can just drop your pedometer in your purse to find out how much exercise you get in a typical day of work, errands, and other tasks. Of course, you can also attach it to your belt like a traditional pedometer.
A large, easy-to-read display helps you keep tabs on your workout. View larger.
The HJ-112 accurately measures your steps, as well as aerobic steps and minutes. You can also use it to measure calories burned during your workout, as well as the distance you've traveled.
The device's large, easy-to-read LCD display can separately display aerobic steps and minutes walked more than 10 minutes continuously, so you always have the information you need right in front of you. Meanwhile, a seven day history lets you review a full week of exercise. The device also resets at midnight automatically so it's ready to go every morning. Of course, the device can also function as a handy and highly accurate clock. It also comes with a detachable belt holder and security strap so it's always close at hand.
The HJ-112 is powered by a replaceable lithium battery (CR2032) that will last six months when used for walking 10,000 steps a day. The device measures approximately 2.8 x 2.1 x .6 inches (H x W x D) and weighs 1.1 ounces (not including battery).

Core2Duoノートレビュー 's review (Clean 'er up) 『The Braun cleaning fluid I bought was fairly priced and arrived before it was expected. And the stuff works. What more can you ask? Except, maybe, not having to shave at all.』

(Cost Savings?) 『We've owned this system for a number of years now. (Best toothbrush for healthy gums and teeth.) 『We have used Sonicare electric toothbrushes for many years and there is no equal in my opinion. The only downside the is price of the replacement brushes. This 3 pack seems to be the best deal around and only on Amazon!』
(Replace&Disinfect Every 6 Months; Perfect for Subscribe&Save) 『I have had my Sonicare brushes for about 3 or 4 years. I don't think I'll ever be able to go back to normal teeth brushing. When I'm on vacation and don't bring my Sonicare my teeth just feel gross.
The key to having a good experience with the Sonicare is changing the brush head about every 6 months. If you wait longer than that the bristles lose their stiffness. Also when you open the head up you find lots of bacteria growing if you wait that long to change the heads. I recommend that each time you change your brush head you disinfect the handle by pouring hydrogen peroxide into the interface. This will protect your new brush head from bacterial build-up.
So I recommend you do follow the instructions and get a new one every 6 months. Amazon's subscribe and save sends them to me every 6 months without me even having to remember which makes it all that much easier.』

Core2Duoノートレビュー 's review (What happened to the price scaling /capacity rise?) 『This is actually a review of the changing economics of pen drives, as I am quite happy with my San Disks (and my Kingston Travelers, for that matter) EXCEPT for the problem of price - up through the 8GB models the introduction price and the basic discount stayed the same (1GB to 2GB,2GB to 4GB, 4GB to 8GB) for app. 7 months, then began falling to the point where, over a period of app. 2.5 years you could get 2s for $6-8, 4's for 10-12, 8's for 15-17 BUT the 16's have never reached the equivalent - after over a year - and the 32's have not gone past the first drop range for them. I tend to assume that the functional loss of two big box stores is related to this - but I have already switched to the admittedly larger, but way more storage capable especially for the price WD Passports(320 has 290GB storage - at $80) - though even the drop in price range on them has not been as swift as before.』
(Great Value) 『For the price, it is hard to find a better deal. The flash drive has worked flawlessly and there has been nothing to complain about. (how's that for a redundant statement?)』
(Horrible, dont buy this one) 『This one stopped working within 30 days of me buying it. Pathetic product, will never buy this and will ensure i type in a bad review to save other buyers. Was fine for the first few days and one fine day, i put this in my laptop and my comp says it cannot recognize the drive and after several comps realized the drive was gone, a waste of my money. Dont waste your money on this one,』
(Will not store images of dogs) 『I bought two of these flash drives for my grandfather for his 82nd birthday. A longtime computer user and animal lover, my grandfather has been accumulating a large database of images of dogs in a folder on his desktop for over 10 years. With hard drive space running low and a decade of work in jeopardy, it seemed like the perfect time to give him a quick, simple solution to archiving his project for longevity.
Boy, could I not have been more wrong.
This flash drive works perfectly in every way, except IT WON'T STORE PICTURES OF DOGS! I click on his folder, drag it to the drive, and I get an error message saying the disk is full or write-protected! I tried copying individual images one at a time and got the same message. I even tried downloading new images of every different kind of dog I could come up with, but still no luck. I am finding this very strange because pictures of cats, ferrets, reptiles, etc. all seem to work just fine, along with pictures of cars, tomatoes and small leaves, and even funny sound clips from the film "Kingpin." Has anyone else had this problem?』
(Best Flash Drive I Have Used) 『I had owned about 6 different USB drives before I bought this one. And so far this has been the best. And the price was unbelievable. I only paid $32 with shipping. (Kindle Wireless Reading) 『Bought it as a gift. The person liked it, but thinks that is still missing books and the pages are not the same as the actual book. This is difficult to refer pages for the students.』
(Making Fahrenheit 451 Obsolete) 『There sure are a lot of Amazon reviews here already. So I'll keep this brief.
I love the Kindle. No more is there that big bulk of a book in my briefcase or suitcase that could sometimes mean the difference between the need to pack an extra or bigger bag. Even with the Amazon Kindle Leather Cover the Kindle fits, or should I say slimly slides, right into my briefcase.
Right out of the box even the least technical savvy person can get the Kindle up and running...like I did. And if you're still concerned about the simplicity of operating the Kindle, the first few pages of the manual right on the front page of your Kindle will ensure a smooth start-up. Loading my first book was amazingly easy. I immediately enlarged the type for my middle-aged eyes, and literally within a minute of ordering my first Kindle book I was reading it. Too cool!
It was kind of a bummer to have to power off the Kindle during take off and landing on a flight. Amazon should do some lobbying with the airlines to get an exemption from that silly FAA rule. My only other gripe is publishers that don't release the Kindle versions of a book (like Stephen King's Under the Dome) at the same time as the hardcover release date.
Otherwise, like I said, I love my Kindle. Long battery life. No glare and easy to read anywhere. Bookmarking and jumping forward or backward in a book take some getting used to. But really, this is a great product, and I even read faster than ever with the ability to adjust the typeface to a perfectly clear font.
If you read a lot of new releases, the Kindle is a must to relieve you of the bulkiness of paper editions and importantly to save you tons of dough. The savings aren't as big for Kindle over paperback, but the removal of the burden of bulk alone makes the product worth the price.

(Amazon is Not loyal to its Kindle buyers) 『Let me first say I love my Kindle. I was one of the very first buyers of the Kindle, I sold my Kindle on Amazon and paid them a nice comissh to sell it, then I preordered and now own the Kindle 2. I have bought countless magazaine, newpaper subscriptions and books from Amazon since buying my Kindle.
I have an issue with the price drop. I feel taken advantage of. Yes I paid what I paid, twice, 349 dollars each, with open eyes. Now there is a price drop of $100 to get new people to buy the Kindle 2. I and many more have marketed this product for free with everyone we meet, everyone in the bus station wants to see it and play with it, I always accomodate, I've probably sold 10-15 kindles among friends.
If Kindle was loyal to customers, why wouldn't they show respect to the original early adopters of this device who paid 100 more by allowing a credit towards Kindle books, obviously they make a profit on the book sales as well, so granting that wouldn't even cost them the full 100. And it would be a nice payment for all the marketing and support I've given them over the last few years. I bought two kindles and overpaid twice.
It makes me mad enough that I'm almost ready to sell #2 and buy a Sony Reader, at least they aren't screwing their customers...』

Unfortunately the following problems began immediately:
1. it spontaneously turns on 2. it spontaneously flips from screen to screen 3. most applications exit immediately
I took it to the apple store and they confirmed the problem and they are going to replace it. They have to order it and will call me when it arrives.
I am disappointed that a brand new ipod had such problems but I am glad that the apple store can take care of the problem and I do not have to return it to Amazon.
I am a happy 3G iphone user and look forward to becoming a happy iPod user.Apple iPod touch 32 GB (3rd Generation) NEWEST MODEL』
(iPod touch, best quality, not only an music player, but a mini entertainment player with loads of stuff to keep you busy) 『I liked the iPod touch. Everything is great and bought it for a low price which is better than buying it on other stores. Everything's great and as soon I got it, I already putted songs and applications, everything so it could keep me entertained. Except the only feature that I would liked Apple to add on the iPod Touch is the camera, but other than that, it is great and great portable media-entertainment computer music player.』
(IPod Touch 32Gbs) 『I purchased this IPod for my wife. She had an older model which stopped working. It was under warranty through Square Trade so we were given the option to replace it with another model. This unit, IPod Touch 32 GBs doesn't have as much storage but it is loaded with features. It is very handy to connect to a wireless network and be able to surf the web, check the forecast or send email. It has all the features of an IPhone except the ability to make calls. We weren't looking for a replacement cell phone just something to play and store music.』
(Outstanding!!) 『I had an 8gb first generation one before this... SO worth the upgrade price!! You'll love this!!』
(Ipod touch super user friendly) 『I have to use this for nursing school and it is so much easier to use than any other PDA I have ever had! My only critique is that is is super expensive...but that's to be expected from apple.』 『iPod touch is a great iPod, a great pocket computer, and a great portable game player.
