(2 different Forest Ranger stories)
『These are 2 adventure episodes from "The Wonderful World of Disney" television show that played on Sunday nights from 1953 to 1983. The first is "Fire on Kelly Mountian". Young Phil Mallory is new on the job as a fire lookout and dying for some action. He gets the boring but important job of sitting in a tower by himself in deep wilderness for weeks at a time with binoculars watching for smoke or signs of fire, while he would rather be with the crew that is fighting a nearby fire. He gets his chance when fire starts in his own area, and he is on his own to stop it. A lesson in being careful what you ask for... Fun family fare, good humor,lots of action, interesting aspects of fire patrol work. Some nice animal scenes too. The story is from a book by Phil Pomeroy called "The Mallory Burn". This episode was made specifically for the show and first aired in 1973, and 3 more times in the life of the show.


"Adventure in Satan's Canyon" is story about kayaking. This episode was first aired in 1972, and twice more after that. Incredible river footage in the film, shot in 3 states. Also has footage from the 1972 Olympics kayak competition. The lead character is Rob, a teen who competes as a kayaker. He wants to drop out of competing after a bad day. His coach is a wise forest ranger who rather than pressure Rob to get back in, invites him along on a multi-day river trip in Satan's Canyon to identify the hiking trails in the remote forest. The ranger is hurt on the trip and it's up to Rob to kayak the river alone for help, going through the most dangerous rapids along the way. Naturally this trip convinces him to compete again. This episode has hair-raising family fare, lots of breathtaking kayaking shots, and stunning outdoor scenery. A motivating story for young people, I highly recommend.

I highly recommend this video and others in the series. Disney released many other titles from the TV episodes, just search on Amazon under "Wonderful World of Disney". 『I bought the very first version of this product. It seems like I've had it for a couple of decades. It started looking a bit shabby as the result of several moves. It had a few small cracks but still functioned perfectly.The new one looks a lot better in my new fridge.

I don't understand the mold issue reported by other reviewers. The first one or two fills after installing a new filter may leave a bit of carbon dust in the water which could possibly settle to the bottom of the unit. Could this be what these people are seeing? Properly soak the filter before using, dump the first fill and there should be no problem.』

『I would generally recommend the Brita 35530 Ultramax Dispenser over all of the Brita pitchers or kitchen faucet filtration systems.

I had a very bad experience with kitchen faucet filtration systems and would definitely not recommend them. I tried two different versions before finally giving up on that technology (leaks, filtration way too slow, clogs in system, etc.)

The main problem with Brita pitchers is they require frequent refills because their water storage capacity is relatively small (6-10 cups at most).

This the best combination (it has high water capacity and doesn't take up your kitchen faucet). This is all you need for at-home water filtration. In my opinion the best Brita product on the market and I definitely recommend buying it. It is also readily available at most major U.S. retailers. Highly Recommended!!

(It's not mold, it's algae - ew.)
『According to the email response I got from the Brita website, there is algae in the water supply (varying levels depending on where ya live) and Brita filters do not get rid of algae. The list of things it does get rid of is on the box and info when you buy it. Apparently I must live in a high algae content water area, because both my Ultramax (on a counter away from direct sunlight),and space saver pitcher (in the fridge) acquire a thin film of green in the bottom less than a week after cleaning. And the same thing happens to a friend's Ultramax who lives a few miles away. It's pretty inconvenient to have to take apart and wash the things every week, so I'll probably get rid of the Ultramax. When I got these I assumed they'd only need cleaning every two months when I replaced the filters. Can't tell you how lucky you are if you live somewhere that has low algae content in the water - very disappointed that I can no longer use this product. I'll continue using the fridge pitcher only because it's easier to take apart and clean so frequently.』

『We've had this filter for about a month now, and we're very happy we purchased it. For the last three years, we've used a Brita pitcher with no problems. However, we just moved into a larger apartment with a larger fridge and decided to try out the larger dispenser. Best decision ever!

Pros:
1. Price on Amazon was better than any that we saw in stores.
2. Results in great tasting water (we're in NYC).
3. Having a larger reservoir is such a luxury after being used to the Brita pitcher.
4. No need to remove it to pour yourself a glass.
5. Easy to refill; we just remove the top lid and run it under the sink.
6. I prefer the spigot versus pouring from the Brita pitcher.

Cons:
1. I'm not thrilled about having a meter that runs on a permanently enclosed battery. However, if and when it dies, we're in no worse position than we were when we used a Brita pitcher (which has such no meter) for three years.
2. As others have indicated, you can never totally empty all of the water through the spigot because it's opening is higher than the bottom of the reservoir. I suppose this was a decision they made to maximize the size of the reservoir. Either way, it's only a slight con, and any excess water would be poured out whenever the dispenser is being cleaned anyways.

Other:
1. Size; if there were a Brita dispenser with a larger reservoir, I would have bought that instead. We tend to drink a lot of water and use this water when we cook. As a result, we end up refilling the Brita dispenser almost every day or every other day. Maybe if there were several model dispensers with all different sizes?』

I am extremely disappointed with my purchase from awesome_books_001. What I received in the mail was ONE vhs cassette with the shrek movie in another language. The title of this product was a two disc special, I feel very ripped off, and will be much more careful about ordering anything online. I was under the impression that amazon was a reliable place to order CD's and DVD's.

(A Big Disappointment!)
『Being a definitive fan of Laurel and Hardy, and having a special place in my heart for "Babes In Toyland" (aka "March of the Wooden Soldiers"), I was excited to add another version to my DVD collection.

Alas, the colorization from Legend Films is a big disappointment. Already in possession of the excellent 2001 Goodtimes Home Video release, in which the colorization truly does approximate the technicolor look, I feel as though I have wasted my money. As for the black and white print, also included on the DVD, is a much poorer rendering than the pristine black and white version available through MGM Home Video.

The extras on the Legends release are nothing new. They have been included on other L&H releases by other companies, so there is nothing gained there.

Over all, I would suggest that if your heart is set on having a colorized version of this particular feature, stick with the 2001 Goodtimes version. The effect is much more pleasing to those of us wanting a "technicolor" appearence. As for the black and white version, stick with MGM's release. It truly is the best print available.

Sorry, Legend Films. You've missed the mark on this one!』

『I grew up on the east coast. Every Thanksgiving March of the Wooden Soldiers ran on TV. As a kid this meant that Christmas was coming! Now I get to share this classic movie with my kids.』

(This is a great holiday movie)
『Some like it colored and some don't. Ether way this based on a 1903 Victor Herbert operetta, film released in 1934 as "Babes in Toyland," and is still fun to watch.

Now the basic plot is to keep Mother Peep's (Florence Roberts) shoe from being foreclosed on by the evil landlord Silas Barnaby (Henry Brandon) when this fails Bo Peep has to marry Barnaby to keep the shoe. Now to keep Little Bo Peep from having to marry Barnaby, it involves Barnaby being tricked into marrying Stanley Dum dressed up as Bo in Bo Peep's place. Naturally Barnaby can not be fooled long and must have his revenge by letting lose the bogeymen from their caverns to destroy Toyland.

Does he succeed in his evil ways?
Who can stop him and how?

All in all it is a must to complete the holiday collection.

(BEAUTIFUL, BRILLIANT&DISTURBING FEVER-DREAM OF A MOVIE)
『On the far end of the musical movie spectrum is the colorized Laurel and Hardy "MARCH OF THE WOODEN SOLDIERS." As adapted from Victor Herbert's operetta "Babes in Toyland," there's more of the Holiday Spirit in this 1934 classic than in most of the insipidly lame attempts of movies that exploit the holiday season.

Dum (Stan) and Dee (Ollie) are Santa's toymakers preparing for the big delivery on Christmas eve. Mother Goose and nursery rhyme characters are all over the place and Stan and Ollie are in constant trouble ("Is that 100 six-foot toy soldiers or 600 one-footers?") Silas Barnaby, (remember "the meanest man in town"?), Bo Peep (she's being forced into marriage by Silas or he will evict Bo's mom, who is in fact The Old Woman In The Shoe). And there's Tom Tom the Piper's Son (Ms Peep's true love) and the big finale with the creepy attack of the Bogeymen.

This classic has been cleaned up, digitally remastered and colorized and looks about as perfect as the best of old style children's book illustrations and I bet Stan Laurel and Oliver Hardy themselves would want this one in color. It's certainly no sacrilege. This is one beautiful, Fauvistic fever dream of a movie. A weirdly mesmerizing treat.

Laurel and Hardy forever! Let's all love each other, OK?

That said, there is something else to be considered.

For those who dare to read between the lines (or movie frames), this film can be seen as a sly and subversive horror fest that plumbs deeply disturbing psychological and political issues not touched on in contemporary films. I am amazed that someone hasn't examined this in detail and I have often wondered how much of it may have been intentional -- perhaps from the brilliantly demented mind of Stan Laurel. Only on the surface is this a children's movie.』

『Finally, the WWE is dusting off these matches and giving a dvd set that is STRICTLY for Hulkamaniacs. I have been a Hogan fan since about 1986 when my mom started taping Saturday Night's Main Event for me as a kid. I have seen a total of FIVE of these matches (Incredible Hulk Hogan vs. Andre @ Madison Square Garden--pre-Hulkamania, vs. The Giant @ Hogwild, vs. Vader @ Bash at the Beach, vs. Flair on RAW, and w/ Edge vs. Billy&Chuck.) Needless to say, I've never been stoked to see house shows and t.v. tapings in my life! But most of all I'm chomping at the bit to see some of these promos. The promo he cut w/ Dennis Rodman before Bash at the Beach (which is an extra on this set) is one of my all-time favorite Hogan promos. And the inclusion of 3 pre-nWo WCW matches is absolutely stellar in my book. That was my 2nd favorite era of Hulkamania.

All in all, this set looks to be another hit in a recent string of top notch releases by WWE. I can only hope there are even more on the way! WWE's programming has sucked for nearly a decade but these vintage releases remind me that I'm still a pro-wrestling fan at heart.』

『I love this stuff and drink some every morning with some aloe vera when taking my supplements.
I am also using it as a sports drink when I run. It has more potassium then other commercial drinks, it's a tad low on sodium but I just take a supplemental electrolyte capsule when doing longer runs. It keeps my energy levels up and I love the taste.』

(O.N.E vs. Vita vs. Zico coconut water)
『Each of these three products has a number of reviews. I don't have much to add to any of the individual reviews. Coconut water is great, if you are in the market for a case of it you already know this. But which of these three is the best?

I went around town and found 5 boxes of each of the three brands (15 total) each, with no two boxes of a the same brand coming from the same supplier. The goal was to get a wide range of product batches. This I am happy to report was pointless. All three brands produce an internally consistent product.

I then ordered a 12 pack of all three brands from Amazon. The only significant difference in packaging is that O.N.E. glues a little telescoping straw to each individual box, the other two brands do not. If you are a straw person this is a feature if not this is just more trash, you decide. The amount per container varies slightly by brand but given the price fluctuation on Amazon I don't consider the 0.1 Oz differences an important factor.

All three are made in Brazil, O.N.E. mentions that it is pasteurized the other two do not (nevertheless, I suspect all three are).

On pure taste, at refrigerator temperature, I found Zico to be the best (say 5/5), but only nominally better than O.N.E. (4.5/5), Vita was a distant third (3/5). Both Zico and O.N.E. taste almost exactly like drinking right from a fresh green coconut. Vita, on the other hand, has a grape aftertaste which I did not like. At room temperature the order remained the same; however, the differences in taste became more obvious: Zico (5/5), O.N.E. (4/5), Vita (2/5). Obviously all of this is subjective.

I observed the price of three on Amazon over the course of a month. Zico (~$24) was consistently more expensive than the other two (~$18-21) which traded places as the least expensive.

Considering the price and quality, O.N.E. is my choice and the brand to which I now subscribe. I consider Zico an excellent, but over priced, product and Vita an inferior product. If, however, I preferred my coconut water at room temperature I would give strong consideration to paying the extra money for Zico. If I used my coconut water as a mixer I would buy which ever one is cheapest at the time.

All three products are better than nothing (the previous option) and I am happy to see them on the market.』

『I used to use a robot vacuum, which became a burden once I fiancee was around all the time. The reasoning is because she has long hair which the weak motor of the robot vacuum could not handle very well, hence I had to clean it after every time i used it.
This Hoover is the perfect replacement. I've been using it for 2 months now, about once a week. No complaints. Love it.』

『I was thrilled beyond get-out when I got my first Flair. It IS a good vacuum for bare floors of any kind and at first, it works even on small area&throw rugs. I dont mind cleaning out the cup and hubby blows out the filter with the air compressor hose in the garage. It DOES fall over easily and the cord isnt long.

However, on each of my Flairs, although I have only used it for area rugs (I have a regular vacuum for the few carpeted rooms I have) the belts blow out for the "carpet" setting (beater bar moving setting). The belts were difficult to find and it took FOREVER for them to arrive. Hubby was able to easily replace them but they sure don't last. The bar gets clogged easily with long hairs (my daughter&I both have long hair) and I would often need to cut it out with scissors. I love how it goes quite a ways under cabinets, bookcases, and even my couch!

However, it has fallen over so many times that the little latch to hold the cup in the vacuum has snapped off&I now have to use packing tape to keep it in. Its time to move on to something with newer technology!』

Who can sing that heavenly they thought and became fans of Israel Kamakawiwo'Ole. I discovered IZ brousing about You Tube. Years ago I went to college in Maui, before IZ was born. 『I alredy love Celtic music, without a doubt, and although I'm not always a huge fan of modern interpretations of it, I am a fan of David Downes's arrangements. He always has really nice harmonies, and he write for the people that are performing it. At least, it sounds like it. :)
The ladies performing do a wonderful job, too. Mairead is always inspirational. She's just fantastic! Lisa Kelly is a fabulous singer, and so are the others, Hayley, Chloe, Orla and Meav, who has recently become my favorite. I switch around a lot. :) It kind of depends on my mood. Meav is just fantastic on Dulaman. What an incredible range!
Anyway, it's wonderful music for people who like Celtic music or just new music in general. Some of the stuff would fit right in a musical. There's really something for anybody who loves vocal music.

『Another exceptioinal product produced by the Celtic Woman creators. A nice blending of traditional and new with excellent vaocals by all the performers. Regardless if you own other CW discs, this one is a 'must have'.』

『OK - here was some helpful info I wish I had. Don't worry about baking one side, then the other. Who has the time to do that?? Make sure you saturate the pan (top, too) with cooking spray. (This is vital - I tried crisco on the sides and it failed) Simply fill the "top" side of the pan, leaving 1/4" of headspace. Then fill the "bottom" of the cupcake, leaving 1 1/4" of headspace. I baked for 50 minutes (oven temps vary) and then let it cool *completely*. (3+ hours) Because cake batter will spill over while baking, take a knife and gently tease the top part of the cake up. I also trimmed the top and bottom BEFORE turning it out of the pan! As long as you have sprayed the pan enough, it should slide right out!』

It took FOREVER to bake. And even though I spent extra, extra time greasing the pan, it did not release cleanly, and there is nothing that can be done to fix the bottom, fluted part. The top came apart also, but can probably be fixed with frosting. It didn't occur to me to check the hints on-line before backing; Wilton is a well known name and should have supplied accurate instructions if there were issues. Now I am torn between chucking the cake and making cookies, or going back to the store late at night and getting up super early to try again. 『So far it's played anything that I've tried including files from my HD Video Camera - I didn't expect this as they are in 2 separate files: video and audio. And the WD TV LIVE figured out how to link them together and play them on its own.

The price dropped from $119 to $99 in the last 2 weeks since I bought mine, so I hope that Amazon will credit me back the difference. I bought 3 in total as they seem very nice X-mas gifts.

So now all I have is an Internet connection and a TV and that's all I need. No cable service at all! Fantastic! Hopefully soon they'll add streaming video from Netflix, etc.

The graphical interface is decent but hardly what I'd call superb. Similarly, the remote is nice but it would be great to have more control to skip ahead X seconds in a video.』

(Wanted to like it, but too many serious issues)
『What a bummer. I was really hoping this product would work after the relatively positive reviews, but it has way too many flaws which became obvious in just a couple hours of use.. I bought this to connect to a second TV. I use a TiVo series 3 for my main TV with PyTivoX on the Mac, a setup that works flawlessly in most cases. The WD TV Live experience is a far cry from my TiVo experience.

Pros:

. Very small, portable if you want it to be.

. Very easy setup.

. Plays MTS files copied directly from an HD camcorder.

Cons:

. Serious audio sync issues with most file types, problems that get worse if you fast forward or rewind while playing a file. This happens with both local storage and when using network shares. These audio sync issues have never happened to me when streaming the same files from PyTiVoX to my TiVo.

. Absolutely will not stream 1080 content reliably over a wireless G network -- buffering on the device does not seem to account for network speed. The first minute or two of a file will play reliably, but then will stutter or freeze.

. Will not play decoded .mpg files from a TiVo. The video will play (although with pixelation&combing), but there is no audio.

. No ability to bookmark or add shortcuts to folder locations on a network share. You have to navigate through the entire path every time. Even for open/anonymous shares, you still have to jump thru a login screen every time. This is just stupid.

. Chapter functions on files created via Handbrake rarely seem to work. The next chapter button often just skips to the next file.

. Remote does not have volume controls or TV on/off control.

. And, finally, no Netflix. I wasn't expecting it, but seems like a no brainer on a $120 (street price) device.


I'm disappointed, and this one is probably going to go back to Amazon.』

You must know that the "Sheik Geeks" Are going to "HACK THE PLANET! HACK THE PLANET!" with this product.... Why not "Open Source" some of it like an "APP" section of the device? (see Google "Chrome" browser/OS )

Pressing "FF" then "NEXT" Felt a little weird to go forward by chapter in the ISO files "REV" then "PREV" worked also.

『I'm rarely this enthusiastic about a product. There are definitely downsides, but nothing significant enough for me to really feel there are major flaws. I owned (and still own, actually) the regular TV and loved it, but really disliked the lack of networking support. I went to a trade show and Western Digital was there. I mentioned this to their representatives and he told me they were releasing a version with networking support in a couple of weeks. I had to pick one up as soon as possible.

What I expected was the original with the ability to access network shares via SMB, but I also expected the UI to still be a little slow and difficult when setting up the network. I was very surprised at how simple it was to set things up. I decided to go the WiFi route rather than Ethernet and it really just involved finding a compatible WiFi adapter on WD's compatibility list (I picked a Belkin because it had a stand) and plugging it in. It found my router right away, I entered the password and I was connected very quickly. I had absolutely no issues streaming anything over the WiFi, which was very surprising. I figured huge 1080p MKV files would be an issue, but they played incredibly well. The UI was extremely quick and responsive. Previews even worked quickly over the WiFi. Connecting to shares on my computer was absolutely no problem. I am just in awe of how well it works. After using an AppleTV, which in theory should work better because it's so limited in its network functionality, I just figured there would be problems. Western Digital really got it right. Plus there's YouTube support and it works really well, too.

The downsides are few but they do get kind of annoying here and there. The main issue that bothers me the most is that when I add something to a folder on a network share, it doesn't update on the WD TV Live. This is understandable to and extent, but there ought to be a reload button or function of some kind to work around this. Currently the only way to reload the folder is to click home and reconnect. It's not a huge deal, but it would be really great if it wasn't necessary. Other annoyances fall under a lack of options, mainly. For example, thought preview mode work exceptionally well (where you have a list of videos and it shows a little window that previews the selected video) you're required to have sound along with the preview. That's useful if you're not sure what the video is, but if you already know and you're leaving the television on for a few minutes before watching (like you get a phone call, for example) then you have sound playing constantly. There are obviously two work-arounds: mute the TV or select a folder or photo rather than a video file. Nonetheless, it would be nice to have the option to simply turn off sound and only have a visual preview mode. In terms of setup options there aren't many. You don't have as much control over the WD TV Live as you do with the regular WD TV. This is unfortunate in some ways, because options are always nice, but in others it makes the setup really simple. I'd feel very comfortable recommending the WD TV Live to a novice more so than the WD TV because it's much more simple to setup. The thing is, this sort of device probably doesn't appeal too much to a person who doesn't know much about media files because it doesn't provide any means of content acquisition (like the AppleTV does with the iTunes store). It assumes the user has content already, which means they're either generating it themselves or acquiring it on the Internet without the assistance of the WD TV Live. Neither of those things are necessarily simple (in the same way the WD TV Live is) and so I think it makes more sense to add a little complexity through additional features and settings rather than remove them for the sake of simplicity.

Overall, however, there's very little to complain about. Though I don't use this for photos and music and can't really comment on how well those aspects of the WD TV Live work, I'm extremely pleased with nearly all aspects of video performance and would gladly recommend it to others.』

(Problem with AVCHD and Fast Forward)
『I have been using WD TV Live for a week now. I also updated the firmware to Release 1.01.11 (11/16/09). There are three main problems:

1) I have personal home videos shot in HD (AVCHD) using Sony HDR-TG1 camcorder. I want to copy all the AVCHD files in a portable hard drive and play them through WD TV Live. It plays the files but there is a gap of 2 seconds where my TV screen goes blank. The reason why it is happening is each shot is saved in a MTS file within AVCHD folder by HD camcorder (that's the way it supposed to be). It tries to play each MTS file sequentially and when it moves from one file to another, it creates a pause of 2 seconds when your screen goes blank. It supposed to play all MTS files within AVCHD sequentially without any gap. The gap is very annoying because it does not treat AVCHD as one movie but a sequence of movies. So, unless you combine all MTS files into one huge one file, then it should work, but for me this is a bug and it is the biggest turn down for using WD TV Live for AVCHD. To put it in perspective, imagine you ripped your DVD video on an external hard drive and it has multiple VOB files. When you play the movie, WD TV Live plays all the VOB files fine without any gap. Why can't it treat AVCHD movie the same way?

2) Sometimes when you want to jump to next chapter while watching DVD format movies from your hard drive, it jumps to the beginning of the movie. I do not fudge with how DVD videos are extracted and copied into hard drive. I simply copy the entire movie files from DVD movie and it still does that.

3) Occasionally, it also freezes when you try to fast forward. You have to power down WD TV Live and restart it.

Overall, I do not recommend this product until WD fixes all the issues especially gaps in AVCHD one.』

『This cam does what I bought it to do; allows me to chat with family in other states. Yes, it doesn't do so well in low light, but nothing that can't be fixed by turning on a light or using the low light enhancement feature.

One missing feature for most webcams, including this one, a screw on the bottom to attach on a tripod. My one complaint is that it is hard to find a good place to position the camera.. either it's too high and you have a huge forehead or it's too low and everyone is looking up your nose. When you do find a place to position the camera, the base makes the camera fall over, or the the usb cord pulls it out of position.』

『I have read that some folks did not get the OEM (Brother Tn350....the Real McCoy) . I DID. Brother TN 350 in the Brother Box , sealed...new. There is a FREE Fed x shipping label to ship your old, used toner. If you buy from Amazon (sold and shipped from Amazon) and ever have an issue, Amazon will take care of it. I have always found Amazon to be more than fair. If you buy from a seller who mis-states or misrepresents a product I believe Amazon will stand behind you, the purchaser. The TN 350 toner was easy to install. Do use a large sheet of paper as toner is bound to get on things. And, I did do the "tape the hole/plastic viewer for more life and it works. Helps the budget.』

(TN350 doesn't work in the Brother HL-5250DN)
『The HL-5250DN is a fine printer, but if you purchase it, don't purchase a TN350 cartridge as I did, relying on the Amazon representation that it will work. You'll find that the TN350 will not mate with the drum unit TN550 cartridge combo that comes in the printer. Maybe you can spring for a different drum unit (think another $80) and get that combo to work; I don't know. But the TN350 cartridge categorically won't work in a new HL-5250DN, unless you want to try your hand with a hacksaw. And the TN350 isn't heavy enough to make a good door stop.

To be fair, Amazon isn't alone in representing that the TN350 will work. The Brother user manual specifies the TN550 or TN580 (high capacity).』

『For a long time I refrained from writing this review, believing that probably I was to blame for the subpar image quality (out of focus) pictures I was getting. But my conclusion is that it was not me. It was the camera.

I had such a great experience with the Canon S2IS that I was ready to move up to my first SLR camera, and what better than the same brand. I enthusiastically ordered the Xsi with the supplied kit lens. I soon realized that no matter which focus setting I used, many pictures, both indoor and outdoor, were slightly out of focus, and slightly underexposed. I took side-by-side pictures together with my S2IS, and was shocked to see that the older, 5 MP camera took pictures much, much better than the Xsi.

I wrote to Canon customer service, and they blamed it on the "kit" lens. They suggested I buy a lens with a wider aperture (which was about $1,000, so I thought, "You're kidding"). I did not buy the lens, but I did buy an external flash ($350), and the image quality was just the same. I was so disgusted with the situation that I basically stopped using the camera, and continued using the old one instead.

After some time, I really gave up on the camera and decided to return it, together with the flash. Fortunately, Amazon has fantastic customer sevice, and everything worked out without a problem.

In conclusion, my camera definitely had focus problems. These focus problems caused the pictures to be improperly exposed, and the flash strength to be slightly inexact, all contributing to bad image quality. For me, my Xsi's 12 MP sensor and all its other features were worthless if the image quality was lower than that of my 5 MP camera. I am now hesitant to buy another Canon camera, afraid of a repeat of this.

One star for the camera, and five stars for Amazon's customer service.

The camera takes the best close up shots I've ever seen, even compared to other DSLRs that I've had experience with. For the first time user, the full auto mode is perfect to use until you get time to read the manual and understand how to use the more advanced functions. The biggest problems posted by other users seemed to be the noise the camera makes and the weight of the camera. I haven't noticed a problem with either. If you are thinking about trying out a DSLR for the first time, I strongly recommend this camera.』

(What were they thinking?)
『The most expensive and also the most ridiculous webcam I've ever bought.

First, the cord is so short that I had to drive down to Best Buy and buy an extension USB cable just to be able to use it in any reasonable manner. You'd think that for $100 they wouldn't skimp on cord length? (this is the shortest USB cord I've ever *seen*)
Also I was unable to use this camera with Logitech's own camera software on XP because every time I loaded it, a dialog would come up asking me if I wanted to enable some automatic lighting function, and every time I answered it - no matter what I answered - my computer would instantly shut off.
Third, the only way to stand this camera up is atop a stand about 1 foot tall, with a base only about 2 inches across , so (especially given the extremely short cord they provide) keeping this camera standing up is almost impossible. A little bit of common sense would have had them provide a base with a little bit more leverage..

I've always believed that in computer hardware quality you get what you pay for, but I'm a little skeptical now about whether that applies to Logitech.』

These shorts are simple, comfortable, and a good deal. Adidas makes a number of shorts similar to these that are also a good price. The best thing about these shorts is they allow for maximum movement. 100% better to work out in than shiny, baggy, basketball shorts.

『I think these are a nice pair of shorts, the only problem I had was that they run a little small. The "large" are more like the size of mens boxers, a little to small so be careful you might want to order a size larger then you would.』

『I used them for a two week vacation and I was amazed how much room I had in my suitcase. It kept my things organized with minimal wrinkling. Love them, love them, love them. I am now telling all my friends to get them as well. Makes traveling sooooo much easier!』

『These are essential equipment for me now. These have revolutionized packing. Organization will set you free. I don't camp or travel without them. Eagle creek makes great stuff and I'm very happy with these.』

With the see through tops, you never have to worry about strangers pawing through your clothes at the airport again.
