『This KA was my first stand mixer. This one closely resembles my grandmother's white KA Classic from the 50s. I really love my KA mixer. I use it for simple cookie doughs, and buttercream frostings, but I have also used this machine to make meatloaf. I use it extensively to make marshmallow fondant, which as you can imagine, is a very stiff dough at times throughout the mixing process. I have owned it for about six months, use it several times a month and I have never had an issue with it.
It is a true staple in my kitchen, and I cant imagine baking/cooking without it.』

『Writing this as I am surprised at the 5 star rating this machine (and the more powerful Kitchen Aid) has received. The gears on my machine started smoking when used on just a regular whole wheat. Customer service tried to put it down to my technique and would not have anything to do with it. Since I also do heavier breads, I moved to an Electrolux as I didn't want to spend the money on a semi-commercial machine.
In sumary, this machine would be fine for light cookie mixes and batters but don't expect too much over that.』

『Hello everyone, I have owned mine for about two years. To start with I didn't do much baking but when i did ( making Brownies or cakes) this was worth having and the money. Clean up is as easy as running hot water over it. Recently I have started baking breads and I have heard taht this model wasn't good for mixing dough. I have to totatlly disagree. This thing will need a 1.5 to 3 lb loaf from 5-30 minutes with easy. I am now making bread loafs from rustic, bagguettes, sourdoughs, and others, two to three times a week because of the ease of this machine. What use to take 30 minutes of hand kneading now takes 6 minutes on high spead to make perfect ciabatta bread.』

『Awesome Album

The Buena Vista Social Club was a members club in Havana, Cuba that held dances and musical activities, becoming a popular location for musicians to meet and play during the 1940s. In the 1990s, nearly 50 years after the club was closed, it inspired a recording made by Cuban musician Juan de Marcos González and American guitarist Ry Cooder with traditional Cuban musicians, some of whom were veterans who had performed at the club during the height of its popularity.

The recording, named Buena Vista Social Club after the Havana institution, became an international success, and the ensemble was encouraged to perform with a full line-up in Amsterdam in 1998. German director Wim Wenders captured the performance on film, followed by a second concert in Carnegie Hall, New York City for a documentary that included interviews with the musicians conducted in Havana. Wenders's film, also called Buena Vista Social Club, was released to critical acclaim, receiving an Academy Award nomination for Best Documentary feature and winning numerous accolades including Best Documentary at the European Film Awards.

The success of both the album and film sparked a revival of international interest in traditional Cuban music and Latin American music in general. Some of the Cuban performers later released well-received solo albums and recorded collaborations with international stars from different musical genres. The "Buena Vista Social Club" name became an umbrella term to describe these performances and releases, and has been likened to a brand label that encapsulates Cuba's "musical golden age" between the 1930s and 1950s. The new success was fleeting for the most recognizable artists in the ensemble: Compay Segundo, Rubén González, and Ibrahim Ferrer, who died at the ages of ninety-five, eighty-four, and seventy-eight respectively; Segundo and González in 2003, then Ferrer in 2005.

『I remember watching the movie PERFORMANCE in Cambridge Mass back in '69 or '70 and being enthralled with the sountrack. I, of course, went to the flick to see Mick Jagger in his first movie role. But I came out wondering how I missed what a great slide guitat player Keith Richards was, but quietly knowing that it was not he wearing the Sherry glass. Ever the researcher, I found Ry Cooder: been a fan ever since. I'm sorry but fan is just not the word. I've been stalking Ryland long before there was a word for it. Met him in the crowd at the Jazz Fest during the Ali Fakre Toure sessions, my wife catching us in the mirrors, and was actually able to talk with him - ask a couple ??? about the new band with Keltner, Lowe and Hiatt and I felt like I was in the Cat-Bird Seat. Always wondered what he was working t'wards with all those LP's all the world music stuff and then Fate handed him his due: The Buena Vista Social Club. The musical equivalent of AA: be patient and help another drunk, or in this case another musician. He got to help and be helped. Tremendous album, music that should not be missed at any cost. 『I teach art history and art appreciation. For years I have been using this series in class. It is about as sexy a documentary series as I have ever used (the American Visions series is the sexiest, but harder to work into an art history class). The filming (on location) is beautiful and Michael Wood's enthusiasim is contagious.』

『If you are a winter skier or for that manor, any outdoor enthusiast, you need to have this boot drier, warmer. We have used this dryer for several years and have recommended them to many of our friends. The unit is well made, quiet, and very energy efficient. If you like dry / warm shoes or gloves, this is a must have. No, I have no affiliation with the company, I just think this is a great product.』

『This product works great. It drys shoes/boots very well. It is also a very safe product. You don't have to monitor this product or be concerned about cutting it off at a certain time. Just plug it in, put the shoes/boots on it, and wake up the next morining with warm dry shoes/boots.』

『Had this model for a year now.

It comes in a couple pieces that just snap together, no tools needed.

Has a very stable base, I constantly put steel toed work boots on it with no wobble.

As has been stated it is a simple plug-in design, with no moving parts. I use a light timer, in the winter, to cycle it on and off depending on my shift work schedule.

The bottom is open.
When I don't need the heat, just some air flow to dry my work boots out, I simply place the dryer over a floor vent. I usually have the fan of my air conditioning/heating system running anyway and this allows air to be blown through the dryer.

With the dryer plugged in it draws 36 watts.

He puts them on the dryer in the evening and in the morning they are perfect. My ONLY complaint is that there isn't an on/off switch. Every time you need to use it or turn it off you have to plug it in, which gets to be a pain.』

『This is a nice little scale and very functional. The tare feature is great. We own a candle business and have purchased several of these for our workers to use while making candles. They have the range to measure both the larger weights of wax and the smaller weights of fragrance. They do what we need them to do. I know there have been some questions in other reviews about the quality and/or accuracy of these scales, but they really do a fine job, especially for the price. I give the manufacturer full credit for making a functional, affordable scale.』
