(Cleaning Was Never So Much Fun) 『This is my first steamer, so I didn't know what to expect. It's been two weeks now and overall I think it's a good value. It's fabulous for cleaning any corners, small cracks and intricate items like around faucets, refrigerator handles and the coil behind the refrigerator. It did a really good job on the impossible to clean area under the front of the refrigerator that had caked-on dust and dried spills covering all the metal brackets, wires, tubes and wheels. But best of all - the toilet, especially the hinges for the toilet seat, and the seam where the toilet meets the floor, and anywhere behind the toilet - you get the idea.
The combination of the heat and the powerful blast of the steam acts to soften the dirt and then force it out to where you just wipe it up. You get a nice, really clean surface. Some items haven't been this clean since they were new. Some even look like new.
Do yourself a very big favor and get a whole bunch of microfiber cloths for wiping and drying. Sometimes, for stubborn old dirt, first spray a little Fantastic cleaner, then use the steamer and wipe with the microfiber cloths. This makes a super dynamite cleaning combination. You can also use your own microfiber cloths with the floor attachment.
The steam leaves a clean smell and I don't have to worry about breathing any of it. It's good that most of the steam ends up in the air, so that there is not a lot of residual water that needs to be cleaned up. After not spraying for a while, some steam in the hose condenses back to a little bit of water, so then I usually spray for a second or two into the sink or a cloth to clear the water.
There is some confusion about the so-called ready light. Just know that it's a small light that turns on whenever the water heater is on. So when the light turns off, it means that the heater has reached the high temperature shutoff point. I notice a slight increase in the steam pressure just after the heater light turns off because this is when the water is the hottest. But the steam pressure is very good all the time, even if you have a long steaming session. The heater light automatically turns on and off while you steam, and you don't even notice it. I usually steam, then wipe, steam, then wipe, and never have to wait for more steam.
There is also some confusion regarding the steam temperature. I was surprised that this big cloud of steam is actually not too hot to your hand, even as close as 3 or 4 inches from the tip. I think it's because the steam quickly cools itself by the evaporative process. This is good because you really don't need to worry so much about burning your hand, like when you are holding an object in one hand and spraying steam with the other. But don't be fooled. The temperature right at the tip is hot. I measured about 170 to 180 degrees right where the steam comes out. Most home water heaters are set for only about 120 to 140 degrees. If you steam a small metal object (that conducts heat), it will quickly become too hot to handle. I've accidentally peeled a little spot of latex paint off a door because I held it on the same spot a little too long. I always use rubber gloves and have had no problem with handling the steam.
Regarding the noise, firstly, the unit makes no sound at all when you are not spraying steam. When it sprays steam, the noise comes from the tip where the steam comes out. I can understand that many people say it is loud. To me, it means that this is a pretty powerful spray of steam. After I do steaming for an hour or two, without earplugs, then my ears feel a little bit like I've attended a rock concert, especially if I were steaming a bathroom or inside the refrigerator, which magnifies the sound. Now, I always wear ear plugs.
The unit has a carrying handle, but no caddy for the attachments, cord and hose - not a big problem for me. I use only distilled water, as they suggest, so the tank doesn't become clogged with mineral deposits. I put in two or three of their measuring cups with their little funnel and it lasts a good long time, like you wonder why the steam hasn't run out yet. I always keep an extra couple of gallons of water on hand because I have a tendency to keep cleaning more stuff once I get started. The steam keeps going strong until the tank is totally empty, and then it suddenly stops. Refilling is pretty quick and easy, but first hold the sprayer open to release any remaining pressure. You only need to tighten the filler cap with light fingertip pressure. It takes a few minutes (2 to 5 minutes depending on how much water you add) for the water to reheat and then you can steam for another long time.
One of the few things it doesn't do so well is the hard baked-on food like inside the oven or the stove top. Also, when I was steaming the metal handles on dark wood kitchen cabinets, I noticed the wood starting to take on a light, cloudy haze. It seemed ok after rewaxing, but you need to be careful around wood furniture or cabinets.
I've read some complaints about the small brush tips wearing out too quickly. I think this might be because people are mashing down too hard on the tip. The idea is to try to let the steam do the work and brush with only moderate pressure. Sometimes I use a toothpick to loosen stubborn dirt in small areas, and then go back with the steamer. I think the tips are holding up ok.
One precaution I take is to avoid pulling the tank by the hose because I think this could break the hose which does not seem to be repairable. 』

(Cleaning heaven) 『I normally don't take the time to write reviews on anything... but this product deserves it. First the delivery was really fast (2 days), with normal shipping. When I got this I had to try it right away. I had a lot of expectations and was not disappointed. I started with the bathroom because I always fear that it smells like a public restroom in some gas station in a small town (yes, I did put a lot of thought into this). My youngest son had dropped propolis (iIt's a product found south of the border and it's a honey based natural medication excellent for colds etc.) on the bathroom floor.... Although this steam cleaner was not able to take all of it off it did make it much, much lighter. Around the toilet in that spot where the toilet seat meets the toilet bowl and that seems to be the hiding place for misplaced urine droplets it work miracles.... Used on the grout, mirrors, laminate floors, showers, faucets, carpet, tile, walls and doors (6 panel doors seemed to be a dust deposit) and it did an amazing job on all those surfaces as well. Still haven't figured out how to use it efficiently on the bathtub, but I'll get there.. baby steps... It is a little loud and I felt like I had just left a rock concert after using it. I had that muffled feeling in my ears. Specially after using it in smaller rooms with no windows. But function has its price. I would definitely recommend it!! Here's why; 1)We get the whole concert 2)the performances are dazzling (and Paul's in exceptiona voice--no Autotune or any processing device was used to augment Paul's voice)including a brief detour into a cover of a Jimi Hendrix tune (he shares a story about Hendrix having learned "Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band" even though it had just been released. Hendrix's guitar went out of tune and he asked if Eric Clapton was in the audience so he could tune it for him). 3)We get a healthy dose of Beatles songs (including "A Day in the Life" melded with Lennon's "Give Peace A Chance"), Wings tunes, Fireman and McCartney solo hits. 4)We get to hear the concert and see it on a bonus DVD AND Best Buy has a 2 CD/2DVD set (available only as an import here)in a nice book with McCartney's "David Letterman" live roof top show.
Sound-I'd give it a B for the CDs--they sound good not too loud, compressed or maximized could they sound better? Sure but for a contemporary CD this sounds good. The sound on the DVDs I'd give an A--they sound exceptionally clear, crisp with nice detail. The picture on the DVDs (I watched it upscaled on my Blu-ray player)looks exceptional as well. Would I have liked a Blu-ray option for this? Sure but the DVD looks just fine upscaled with nice detail although you'll notice it isn't quite as sharp as a Blu-ray.
The Letterman Show is terrific. McCartney and his band do a root top concert (sort of)at the Ed Sullivan Theater where The Beatles first appeared live for U.S. audiences for the first time changing history for themselves, us and altering music.
If you can find the 2 CD/DVD set pick it up (Best Buy is sold out on line but they fail to mention that MOST stores have them or had them in stock) or pick up the import.
Unlike previous McCartney shows (McCartney directed this himself)this one doesn't intercut performances with interviews and we only briefly get shots done by fans using the digital cameras distributed at the show(only one where the song is interrupted and it's fairly early on). All of which makes this a BIG improvement on previous concert DVD/CD sets. The healthy variety of songs from throughout his long career along with the appearence of Billy Joel for "I Saw Her Standing There" (and the fact that, in my opinion, this is the best backing band he's had and I've seen all of them including Wings)makes this one a keeper. During Macca's story about The Beatles playing Shea the show cleverly intercuts Macca and his band playing "I'm Down" contrasting it with The Beatles performance.
Every little thing Paul and his top notch band including Rusty Anderson (guitar, vocals), Brian Ray (guitar, bass, vocals), Abe Laboriel, Jr. (vocals, drums, percussion), Paul "Wix" Wickens (keyboards)do here is nearly perfect. Sure, you could carp about the fact that Paul's lost much of his upper register but he makes up for it here by dropping some of the material here by a step which allows himself to ably tackle the material. For someone who is 68 years old, Macca has a great voice after 45 plus years of entertaining you and me.

(mleal of Celtic Woman) 『I think Celtic Woman is fantastic. I first saw them in Dallas, in April of 2009. The show was Great. I loved it so much that I decided to buy all of their DVDs. This DVD was their first. It was fine, but you could tell it was their first.....nevertheless, the performances were just as good. I really like Lisa Kelly. She sings like an angel( and looks like one too). All of the performers are inspiring. They reach into your heart and you just can't help but to fall in love with them. I wish I could see more of their performances (live). They are outsatnding.

This EP is $5 and includes the duets from the Top 4 as well as a track from each of the Top 3 contestants. Anyone with a child who loves Elmo's World knows that you'll end up watching the DVD's over and over again. He doesn't seem to mind seeing the same segment than twice in two videos, but it can drive me crazy. Other than that this is just as good as any of the other Elmo's World DVD's. I like that it introduces books since my son started watching this before he was interested in having us read him any of his books, and now he seems more interested in his books. I highly recommend it if your child likes Elmo.』

("Interesting" Customer Service Experience) 『The product seemed like the perfect solution and probably is, although my experience with customer service was enough to turn me off. There are ample pockets for your most used tools, and the size of these pockets gives you plenty of flexibility.
For my own personal use, the seed packet storage is a lot of wasted space, which really can't be converted to use for anything other than seed packets. I think the cell-phone pocket is another waste of space on this rig as well. I don't want to be bothered while I'm out in the yard. I'm sure some of you might agree!
Where I am truly disappointed with this product is in it's quality. The materials are fine, but the assembly is truly poor. There is a snap closure on this rig, and when it was made, the snap grommet cut right through the back rubberized fabric, causing that closure to be totally useless. It isn't worth the time and effort to patch the fabric, and install a new snap (or other closure device). The hook-and-loop fastening strap that holds the body of the rig to the bucket is a generic low-quality velcro. The stitching overall is pretty low quality, and less than accurate at the seams and attachment points. Don't overload your rig, or it will sag. Don't remove the rig from the bucket frequently, or it will fail to "stick". Use a dedicated 5-gallon bucket, and leave it attached.
I would suggest getting something like a "Bucket Boss" rig, and adapting it to your gardening needs.』
(Right idea? Wrong execution?) 『EDITED NOTE: This review is of the 9424 GARDEN Bucket Caddy. Please note, this product is marketed as a gardeners product. It isn't marketed as a heavy duty tool or construction tool caddy. My review is based upon the product's intended useage - in the garden. While the product may have other uses (and I think it may), I would NOT recommend this product as a heavy duty or specialized "tool" tote.
The Fiskars 9424 Garden Bucket Caddy surely has appeal to somebody, but I can't imagine the Caddy really having any kind of mass appeal. It's a good idea - for someone who has the need to tote a bucket and yard tools - but that leads to this question: Who needs to tote a large bucket and garden tools?
Answer: gardenders who do a lot of weeding?
That's the answer I got from a number of people who said that the bucket had "all kinds of uses in the garden" and then had difficulty explaining those needs coupled with the need to tote the tools with the bucket.
I'm not intending to be short sighted here. Believe me, I see lots of uses for a bucket and tools - weeding, harvesting, seed toting, bulb toting, or just extra space to store larger gardening items - like bags of lime or fertilizer.
But you should ask yourself first, before you buy - do I tote things in a bucket and need my gardening tools when I do?
The design seems fine, but has some flaws. For starters, some of the pockets have no bottoms... and if you don't have the right size tool in there, these pockets are then useless. When you do have something in there that's large enough to provide resistance, it's a bit unweildy.
Loaded down, the Caddy is heavy, maybe even too heavy to fit nicely on the bucket. The more you have in the caddy, the snugger the fit. Completely loaded with a series of tools, we found the caddy almost impossible to fasten aroung the bucket we had. There is no counterweight overlapping the lip of the bucket, extending into the interior of the bucket, as you might have seen with a construction bucket tote. And be careful selecting a bucket. Buckets with heavy trim or banding near the top may be the right volume but will not work with this caddy - it just won't reach around.
Fiskars would be wise to recommend a bucket or two to send customers in the right direction. You may find a quick trip to your local bix bog hardware store doesn't yield a good bucket.
The other major issue is this: You can't empty the bucket with the caddy on unless you want to play fruit basket turnover with your tools. There's no locking mechanism or tie back to keep the tools in place when the bucket is inverted - so you can fill the bucket, but you'll have to remove the caddy first before you then empty the bucket.
Also, depending upon the handle on your bucket - you may find it difficult to get the handle out of the way when the caddy is in place.
Bottom line: I'm just not sold on this device that looks like it should be handy and useful in the photographs. Practicality, design issues, and limited use make for a below average product.
UPDATE: We saw an AVID SCRAPBOOKER with this device, wrapped around a bucket. She has all sorts of scrapbooking tools in the caddy, and the bucket became a portable trash can. Not the intended use, but very resourceful. Go figure!』

(Best Maglite Mini yet, but needs some improvements) 『I'm sure as most of us know Maglite is well known for their simple understated flashlight design that's durable and well built. These U.S. machined aluminum lights lasts for years, the only thing that ever needs replacing is the krypton bulbs (I usually burn them out by dropping the flashlight) or a new set of batteries. The o-rings do a good job of sealing out water, making the light good for emergency situations. Maglites are the ones I go for when I need a flashlight I know won't quite on me. Most of us have our Maglites "borrowed" and never get them returned which is the only reason we have to get a new one, when the borrower sees the quality they just by chance forget to return the light.
I will admit Maglite was a little slow in getting into the LED market, and even still they're lagging behind when it comes to the LEDs they put in their lights, but in the end it IS a Mag that has a decently powered LED in it. I read on the Maglite website that the krypton bulb of a Maglite Mini was supposed to be about 15.2 lumens, and from what I read the weakest Luxeon Rebel LED was 65 lumens at 350mA (a typical AA battery is 2400 mA, so it's quite possible the light is higher), so the bulb is definitely brighter than a krypton bulb.
The battery life is supposedly ten hours, which is also higher than the krypton bulb. I believe there is a capacitor in the light that provides a constant flow of energy to the bulb (hence the slight flickering of the bulb which I find to be annoying) so that the light output will be the same until the battery dies (also why it shuts off so abruptly). This is a pro and a con at the same time. The light brightness stays steady and usable until the battery is dead, but when it dies it DIES, leaving you literally in the dark. There should be an indicator on the light, perhaps a small red light that comes on when the battery is almost dead. Other than that (and like I said the light flickering from the electronics storing energy and releasing it to make constant lumen ammounts) it works very well.
Something else I didn't know about until just a while ago was the 100% brightness, 25% brightness, and flashing modes. I had read on the package about it but was confused how to obtain the modes, but after some reading I found out you twist the cap to ON, then off, and you get 25% light, then off and ON again to get flashing. Quite handy, but the documentation wasn't very good. As far as the light itself goes it lasts a long time, it's brighter than a normal Mag Mini, and it has Mags years of experience behind it. Great light that I would recommend to anyone.』

If the script could have avoided gagging the viewer with a high-pressure liberal rant, this could have been a charming movie about a handsome cool widower President and a gorgeous and charming girfriend. That alone would, or at least could, have made for great entertainment. But no, we simply have to take our medicine in the form of 200 proof Leftist bias, and unfortunately many of us just can't choke it down.

(Excellent introduction to World War One themes) 『This was the first film in which I saw Daniel Bruhl and Guillaume Canet, and this is also one of the first films (though not the very first) that introduced me to European cinema. While it is sentimental, it benefits from a good script, great cast, and stunning cinematography. While not as hard-hitting as "A Very Long Engagement" or "Behind the Lines", the point to the whole thing is the very unexpected friendships that can grow between two sides during the fighting. It is a film that demonstrates the emotional impact war has on those who fight it, without driving that point home with a sledgehammer. I really enjoyed this film, and it did push me into a greater interest in World War One. While emotionally significant, the film does not make you crave an insulin shot afterwards. I must say this is one of my absolute favorite films, and I have already watched it many, many times .』

1987 - we get to see the full match of Savage's team vs. Honky's team, which was pretty brutally clipped on Colisuem.
we also get the full version of the tag match, which cut out a lot, including the Bulldog's elimination.
we also get 2 segments that weren't on the Coliseum video at all. A Honky Tonk Man interview and Thanksgiving with Ted Dibiase. Lots of vignettes are shown as Ted offers money to fans by asking them to do stuff. He asks a kid to do 10 pushups, but the kid collapses on the 9th one. He asks another kid to dribble a basketball 15 times consecutively, and kicks the ball away from him on the 14th one. He has a woman get down on all fours and bark like a dog, but not to his satisfaction so she doesn't get the money. Then he has a young guy kiss his feet after a match. This was tremendous heel heat.
I was disappointed that these new releases cut out the part where Gorilla and Jesse discuss and analyze the match after each match, which was on the Coliseum video. Also, the Jumping Bomb Angels have different music, which is not as good. But overall, a huge imrovement.
1988. Also much improvement here, as the Warrior's team vs. Honky's team, and Jake Robert's team vs Andre's team matches are in their entirety here and were hacked to death in the Coliseum release. We get to see Owen Hart (Blue Blazer) turn an arm-lock into a head-scissors in an awesome moment.
the 1987 was a rare WWF event that had no duds. The others have their highs and lows, but i would recommend it, especially if you're looking to upgrade those Coliseum videos.』
(One of the best PPV's ever!!!) 『I have to first start off by saying how surprised I was for 1) this release and 2) the quality of the release. Now there are a few discrepencies overall, one being the packaging issue; by using the slip sleeve packaging technique, you run the risk of scratching and damaging the DVD's, the other discrepency was not releasing this as a whole, it would've been more beneficial; especially for the consumer, to purchase this as a complete anthology instead of 4-5 individual sets.
Now those were just the cons, here are the pro's:
* With the exception of one (Rock&Roll Express; SS93), ALL!!! the themes are original, that alone was a victory in itself, compared to the past anthologies. * To my knowledge (it's been awhile since I've seen the VHS versions), all of the content is present and done the way I remember (even that GOD awful gobblygooker SS90 bomb), minus the promotions for future PPV's; which was to be expected.
All in all, this by far has to be the best anthology WWE released thus far, definately recommend for all the hardcore, old school, fans or for the new generation fans who want to see how it was done back in the day and to compare to the sudden decline in today's product.』
(Survivor Series Anthology) 『The former Thanksgiving tradition was one set I couldnt wait for, I was even willing to buy the set as a whole but they released them as sets rather then a whole. I could give you yearly results but I thought i'd give you a few things I enjoyed about the set rather then year by year.
Pros The classic WWF yellow logo is on the bottom of the screen rather then the WWE logo. It looks pretty good when your watching an old PPV. There is even a slip up as a wrestler says WWF in full rather then getting beeped.
I love the interviews they do before and during the events. It makes the PPV seem worthwhile rather then they are fighting because we couldnt think of anything else. WWF use to have so much talent it was crazy. 87 and 88 both have a 4-on-4 elimination matches that feature tag teams.
The picture is excellent as usual that WWE should get an award for there dvds. There is a few instances of the arena lights creating a glare in the camera but nothing effects the match.
Cons- Nothing is wrong with the dvds. I know they changed some entrance music but I could careless about that. I also notice that every match on this set features a pointless count out. I wonder if they did this as a way to speed up a match or what but it happens in every damn match.
The way the dvd case is set up you could easily scratch the dvd. Well i've had the Summerslam anthology and it has been crushed under other differents by accident and i've viewed the several times. I've never had a problem with them scratching but I can see why people worry.
This is a must own if your a fan of classic wrestling. I'll be watching this on Thanksgiving.』
(Issue with Interviews) 『Overall, this was a pretty good set, but I noticed one little change on the 1989 SS set, one that I only noticed because I have the PPV version on VHS from years back and sued to watch it all the time, to the point that I nearly memorized some of the commentary. The pre-match interviews with The Rude Brood and The Ultimate Warriors are NOT the same ones from the PPV. It's very bright and has multiple settings including a timed on/off feature. For the price I'm sure it destroys the competition that seems to start from about $50.00 more expensive. The blue light is super bright, so read the directions and note it says GLANCE during a session, not LOOK. As well as note that the battery has a slip of paper that you have to remove in order for the controls, clock etc to work.
I love the small size, which I was concerned about at first, because I always thought these light treatments had to be large (Id never tried it). I did my research before buying and learned that the L.E.D lights, which this one is, are supposed to have slightly better success rate. (google mayo clinic and S.a.d light)
I also read that you should talk with your Dr about how long to use when you start out and what to look for if you are bi-polar rather than seasonally, or year-round depressed.
The light comes with 4 time settings 10 mins up to 60 mins and you can also set the intensity of the light from 10-100%. so my belief is, that I can find just the right setting for me.
Anyway, its much cheaper than the larger models, while having many of the features..so my thinking was, Ive got nothing to lose, and everything to gain..and if it works then maybe my next purchase will be a larger one...or better yet, since this fits nicely just about anywhere I am, I might just stay with this one.

(Impressive! Great buy!) 『I was skeptical about light therapy in general, let alone a light that does NOT cost hundreds of dollars. I figured if this light therapy was a bunch of hocus pocus that I might as well get a cheap light... Boy was I wrong! After a week of just setting it on my desk beside my monitor about 2 feet away I'm really feeling the difference. I just glance toward it periodically (read the directions carefully) and it really seems to have increased my energy level, alertness, concentration, mood and quality of sleep. Even my coworkers have commented on it, and several have already ordered themselves the same light. Only bummer is that the light itself does not work on battery, just the clock. Oh well! Who cares for this price? If you find that the dark or rainy times, the winter or wet weather seems to get your down and make it hard to pull yourself out of your nice warm bed in the morning you should try this light. You won't regret it.』

Really helps with anxiety and depression.) 『Since this light is well under half the cost of the other SAD lights I've seen, I was fairly skeptical that it would actually be effective. However during the very first session, a very dark and rainy day, I noticed I immediately felt less dreary. In under a week, I was actually sleeping within minutes of hitting the sack, instead of lying in bed tossing and turning for an hour or two as usual. I also find myself voluntarily getting up about an hour earlier than usual, even on weekends! I'm just not tired anymore when I wake up, no more dragging myself out of bed. I have completely eliminated all naps too.
My mood is much brighter and I definitely have more energy. I also deal with a lot of anxiety, and this light has really calmed my unnecessary worries. It's a lot harder to sit and worry about things when you're happy most of the time! I am a pretty emotional person, and the effect of this light has been so dramatic that family and friends have been making comments about how nice it is to see me so much happier.
I like to hook my light over a lamp shade (be wary of hot light bulbs as it could potentially melt the stand) so it's above my eyes beaming down on the side of my face. You know when the light is situated at the right angle cause you feel like the a sunbeam is hitting the side of your eye but you don't need sunglasses cause you are not facing the beam from the front. I do not use the timer feature cause I'm addicted to the thing and prefer to enjoy it off and on all day. I do have to be sure not to continue my basking after 5:00 or I have trouble getting to sleep.
The drawbacks I've found are that the stand is, as everyone else stated, very flimsy. Mine broke within the first week but I just taped it and it's fine. The clock is in military time, which is not very useful for us civilians, and occasionally the clock and/or the light will just stop working. Fortunately a quick punch of the reset button on the back resolves this immediately. However none of these drawbacks have any effect on the main feature of the light which is all I'm interested in anyway. This is the least expensive 10,000 lux blue therapy light I could find and I feel that those inconveniences are well worth the amount of money saved on a more expensive light.
I highly recommend this light to EVERYONE, whether depressed, anxious or not. You don't have to suffer from a specific condition to enjoy the sensation of being in the sun during dark, dreary winter days!

(Unreal!!!) 『I bought this since I live in Chicago and the winter months are awful. I have mild SAD, and lack any energy due to the weather and my schedule. One of the benefits that were completely unexpected was the surge of energy. I go 12 hrs with minimal coffee, and no naps. I get up for work at 430 am and don't need to take naps anymore and I am eating less, in better moods, and overall just feel better. It is very interesting to have learned about sun gazing, and how the eye and brain uses the artificial light to create vitamins and nutrients and sort of re-set your body's clocks so you are producing melatonin less during the day (the chemical that makes you sleepy and regulates your sleep cycles) and more at night so you are sleeping normal. I am still planning to goto the eye doctor just to verify that this is totally safe, although it emits no UV rays but I just want to be sure. I did strain my eye a few times through accidentally looking to close at it. The directions say to glance at it, but I now don't let my eyes go anywhere near directly looking at it since it is a pretty powerful light and can bother your eyes so I am much more careful now. Also; BE Careful when you first turn it on. I plugged mine in and was looking right at it, and it was already on and totally shocked my eyes. However, I highly recommend this little product. It is worth the small price, and is easy to travel with. I have been recommending it to everyone, and plan on bringing it with me on an upcoming trip. The scanner enhances dull print and scans 20 items in about 30 minutes, improving the readability of the items. Scans go to a folder in My Documents and they will later be transferred to a Word 97 document where they can be labelled. From that Word 97 file, they will be either printed as a book of about 120 pages or made into CDs for distribution to the family.
The scanner is very easy to operate once one learns the simple procedure. I don't recall getting paper instructions but I wondered how to turn it off for a while(press the on button more than 3 seconds), for example. It's wonderful!』

(Nice device with one problem...) 『This device is a great external HDD. When you connect the device via USB 2.0, WD software launches; This software can be used to lock / unlock your files so that your valuable data is protected against unauthorized access. You can also use the device to backup your Windows/Mac system. (I haven't tried Linux system.) It is easy to partition the disk using Windows/Mac disk tools. You can even used it for Time Machine for the Mac OS X system after proper re-formatting.
It has a beautiful design, easy-to-understand lights in front. And comes with a USB dock if you purchase the Elite version - actually that comes with an additional LED in the front for disk usage.
The only problem that I found so far is its micro-USB connector. The connection is not so firm, so after mounting it for 30 times, it started to have loose connection. And sometimes have problem connecting the device to the system. It is okay when you don't move around your devices after connecting them. However, I found this not so pleasant when I was performing backup, and wanted to shift my laptop slightly because during moving the external HDD was disconnected from the device and the backup process was ruined.
It was still okay for me because I have a USB-dock which makes the connection much firm, but since I don't want to carry the dock all the time, I try to use this HDD with gentle care because of the loose connection.
My suggestion: If you are not planning to use it while you're moving like in an airplane, train, etc. it will cause not so much problem. If you are worried about the connection problem, maybe the dock will help you. Other than that, it is definitely a great device!』

Windows will detect this secret partition as a new virtual CD-ROM device every single time you plug in the drive, and pester you with the "Found New Hardware" wizard, unless you install the unwanted drivers (unforgivable just on principle, to say nothing of contributing another layer of useless drivers to the house of cards we call Windows).
Contrary to a previous reviewer's comments, removing the drive letter of the virtual CD-ROM drive does not eliminate the wizard pestering. (Windows doesn't care if the virtual device has a drive letter or not; it simply recognizes the new device each time the drive comes alive and doesn't know what to do with it, hence the nagging.)
A tolerable drive for grandma or the kids, but an abomination for the rest of us who know better. Mine's going back, hopefully to find new life as something more useful, like a hockey puck.』

(This must be superman's mouse) 『30 feet from the laptop, down the hall and in the bedroom, like the Energizer bunny, still going. Problem is, I don't have Superman's vision to see through the walls to see what the mouse is doing. With that said, it'd work great for a home theater mouse. It feels good in my medium sized hand and is very responsive. It's a life saver if you have carpal tunnel syndrome because you can place the mouse on any surface anywhere around you that feels comfortable for your wrist due to its fantastic tracking system. I'm still using the batteries that came with the mouse and that was 30 days ago and I use it everyday for 5 hours or more. However, I never forget to power off the mouse when I'm done. The mouse has never failed to connect when I wake my Toshiba Satellite P105-S9337 laptop up from sleep mode. Once in a while, it'll be powered down. I have been running Windows Vista Premium 32-bit till ten days ago then upgraded to Windows 7 Professional 64-bit. The mouse works in both OS versions.
The only downside for me is that my thumb hits the back button unintentionally. So not quite 5 stars.』
(Great mouse for small hands or travelers on the go...) 『This mouse is a big step forward in terms of mousing technology. It lives up to its claims which I find unusual for many technology devices.
Things that I really liked about this mouse:
1. The size of the receiver -- most cordless devices have this huge USB portion that stick out. I have had problems with these since they can easily bend and break and render the device useless. Also, the fact that you can use this receiver to connect multiple devices -- GENIUS!! Why has it taken folks this long to come up with that idea!!
2. On/Off switch -- this may sound like a small thing but when you are relying on batteries to power your pointing device, you want them to last as long as possible. Again, why has it taken folks this long to come up with this concept.
3. Ability to use this on any surface... When you are traveling, you have to use your mice wherever there is a flat surface. Often that means smooth glass or marble conference tables. No problem with this mouse. It worked well on every surface I tried it on (including my cashmere shawl sitting next to me on my chaise lounge chair!)
4. Attention to "small details" -- Logitech does a great job thinking like a "traveler"/"computer user" (probably because they are also users!). The convenient carrying pouch, the scroll wheel, the ability to have multiple ways to using the mouse buttons (either using your thumb or your fingers, the solid feel of the mouse... these are all things that make this mouse something that you enjoy using as opposed to just tolerating its use.
However, in terms of ergonomics, this is probably not a great mouse. I do admit that I am biased because I do prefer trackballs. When I do use mice, I prefer something that is larger in my hand. However, I realize that this is meant to be a portable mouse to travel with your laptop and if you hate using your trackpad, this is probably much better than nothing. I am planning to order the full size Logitech Performance Mouse MX. I've used previous versions and found the full-sized version to be very comfortable and fits well in your hand. In fact, if I am using a mouse, that is the only version truly liked.
However, I did find that my son loves using this mouse because of the size -- so if you have kids and don't need a "travel mouse", this makes a perfect size for smaller younger hands. The fact that it will track reliably on so many different surfaces is another huge plus since my kids who use their laptops in places you would never expect.
I would not hesitate to recommend this mouse if you are traveling and hate to use the trackpad. Also, if you have kids who are using the computer -- this mouse will be very comfortable for smaller hands. I have found Logitech devices are very reliable. The battery life achieved with their pointer devices is great so you aren't going through batteries too quickly. Normally -- at least for full-sized devices, their ergonomics are very good and probably the best in there class (without having to go to special adaptive ergonomic devices which cost a LOT more money). And now -- using their nano receiver, they have really raised the bar in terms of usability. Excellent Excellent set of devices!

it's pretty, sleek, ads are inobtrusive, traffic is generally accurate, but for those people complaining about it not being 100% accurate all the time, you are wasting your energy because no traffic report is going to be 100% accurate all the time. use common sense with this one. if it's rush hour, there will be traffic. if there is a traffic jam in the middle of the night for no apparent reason, the liklihood of updating immediately is not very high. so friggin what! the traffic map is generally accurate and the arrival time with traffic is also pretty accurate, and if it's not it adjusts.
ads are unobtrusive, and overall it's a good device - i got it on discount, so for what i paid it's fine, but i wouldn't be happy if i paid full price for it.

(Very Poor LCD Viewing Angles on my Garmin 755T) 『Got it from Costco with the preloaded with map version 2010.10 and with the latest firmware, but really surprised by the poor quality of the LCD. (I don't usually write reviews, unless there is a serious problem with a device that warrants spending time to write a review on)
The good: The good news is that it works, I don't have a problem with the device freezing or error messages. Text to speech is very good on this garmin (has a more natural sounding voice) compared to a 2x5 series (which sounds more robotic). Plays MP3 and audible.
The bad: The Garmin 755T that I got had a LCD with a very poor viewing angle. Tilt is up a bit, and the screen gets really dark. Tilt it down a bit, and the screen becomes white and washed out. I've used a Garmin 265W and a Roadmate 1430, both were budget/mainstream models and had an LCD display with decent viewing angles. But on my Garmin 755T, as long as GPS display isn't directly facing you, the display is washed out. A GPS without a decent display is completely impractical to use, and hence the reason for getting 1 stars. This GPS is going back. (If it had decent viewing angles, than i would've given it 4 stars)
Other thoughts: I read good reviews for the 755T before I decided to buy it. So I'm not quite sure why the LCD display quality is so poor. Maybe the reviews were based on when the 755T just came out. Now that the 755T cost about half as much as it did a year ago, maybe Garmin decided to cut corners on the latest batch of 755T. The bright, 4.3-inch touchscreen display gives is anti-glare for ease of viewing during the day and automatically changes its color profile for easy viewing at night or in dim light.
