『I would recommend this product for even the toughest applications. We had a carpet with multiple stains from our dog. The steamcleaner bought the carpets back to looking like new. We were thnking we would need to replace the carpet.』

『I couldn't wait to use my new Hoover. I was winterizing our RV and I wanted to clean the rugs before we stored it. It did a wonderful job, it even cleaned an area rug by the doorway that was filthy and I was going to throw it out. I haven't used the power wand yet and if it performs the same way, it will be great. My only complaint is that it is a bit of a pain to attach the wand and I didn't have time to look into it at that moment. I'm sure after I do it once or twice, it will be fine.』

『This thing is wonderful if you want clearner carpets period but especially if you have pets. I have two dogs, and one of them brought tons of mudd into the house and the other was always going to the bathroom or getting sick on the carpet when he was a puppy. AND we're renters!! So I knew come inspection time that we would get hit hard, so I bought this guy. The best present I ever bought myself. It wasn't too difficult to assemble, but the directions were a little confusing at first on what went where with the water and cleaning solution, but once you have it figured out, it's the simplist thing to use. It has wonderful suction so the carpet dries quickly. The tanks that hold the clean and dirty water are not that big, so for a small room I had to change it out and get more water almost 3 times but I was going very slowly since it was the first time cleaning. But it's very easy to add new water and dispose of the dirty. Also it handles pet hair well, not getting clogged. We did have a scare the first time we used it though. It just all of a sudden stopped sucking up the water and my husband was convinced we'd gotten a dud. We fiddled around until we found that the front piece of the tank that holds the dirty water wasn't shoved down all the way, so it was silly us. It picked up soo much from the carpets, I never realized just how dirty they were and the house smells cleaner because of it. Absolutely buy this product!』

『I've been working in a dog boarding/grooming kennel for almost five years now, and I must say that the Furminator is probably the best deshedding tool on the market. It works well on all coat types, even long-haired dogs, but it's ideal for dogs with short to medium length coats with downy undercoats; German Shepherds, Corgis, Labrador Retrievers, etc. I've also used it on a Spitz to great effect when combined with a deeper-reaching undercoat rake.

It may not work perfectly on thicker areas of long-haired breeds, such as the haunches or neck/shoulder areas of Golden Retrievers, for instance, but it will help loosen surface hair even in those areas.

(I also commend Amazon for the exceptional discount - the large model sells for almost sixty dollars in pet-retail.)』

『My dog is the sheddingest canine ever. I heard that the Furminator was the best tool for the job, so went ahead and ordered the medium size.

My dog is about 30 lbs., dachshund mix (with what else? I dunno.), and usually walks around in a cloud of loose fur. The Furminator takes care of this, but requires too many strokes: Even though my dog is what I'd call medium, with the medium Furminator, it takes too long to get the job done. I should've got the large instead.

Bottom line: Yes, get the Furminator...but consider ordering the next size up for whatever kind of dog you have. Chihuahua owner? Get the medium. Great dane? I dunno what to tell you, except buy the largest size they've got, then plan on spending all afternoon furminating.』

『This album and Endgame are the best metal albums of 2009 by far, 2009 IS truly the year of metal. Rock/metal has been making a huge comeback in the last few years thank god and talentless garbage like Britney has been shown for what we metal fans knew it was since it began. Anyhow, this album is great, every song is a masterwork in perfect Slayer style. World Painted Blood has great lyrics and a similar theme to Endgame about where the human race is heading. The riffs are pure classic Slayer style in the same vein as Reign in Blood, the vox are amazing as usual, the twin assault of Jeff&Kerry is still as powerful as ever and Lombardo's drumming is top notch. Today as always I proud to be a hardcore Slayer fan!』

『We all know the resume of this band. I think all Slayer cds are great, for the time period they were released and circumstances surrounding each cd. I prefer more of the 80's/early 90's Slayer though. I also felt Christ Illusion was one of the best cds they have put out and had a great production and alot of oomph to the songs. I find the oomph lacking in this release. First of all this is 100% Slayer, don't get me wrong, been listening to them since they first started out and have seen them multiple times live. The solos are fantastic, Lombardo's drummming is off the hook and Araya really sounds great on this release. I also love the atmosphere to some of the songs, like Human Strain. But the producer greg Fidelman makes this a less powerful sounding release than it should be. I don't think he understands metal, or thrash for that matter. I thought the production on Metallica's Death Magnetic last yr was quite decent. Guitars were up front and the drumming was light yrs better sounding than St. Anger. So he did a decent job last yr, but w/Slayer he screwed things up. Now I have excellent stereo equipment, so it has nothing to do w/not listening to this on a good system. Frankly those are usually weak arguments. If it's a good recording it will sound good on anything. First problem on this is the guitar sound is flat and weak. If you listen to Psycopathy Red (great song), the guitars sound amazing, as does the other instruments. Problem is and a very big glaring problem, the producer used the production/mix from this song that was released as a single many months ago. Why they did not mix the other songs this way, I have no idea. It is very glaring when listening to the rest of the cd, that has a different mix. Another problem is Public Display of Dismemberment. Song has blast beats, my brother in law did not know the tune had blasts until I told him to listen more closely, the mix on this song is dreadful. The drum beats are back in the mix and do not come through. A shame, since this is one of the best songs on the cd. I also found some of the riffs just not as good as past releases. But this still is 100% Slayer and better than any of the Bostaph releases, for sure. On a side note, w/these last 2 releases Slayer still won't give credit for death metal for influencing them to use blast beats and I am kind of sick of them constantly bashing death metal bands. Last I checked Nile's latest release and same with Man Must Die had a shoestring production budget compared to this, yet sound light yrs better.』

『Great, super metal riffs, pounding drums, and Toms voice is great. I totally dig this album. I recommend it if your tired of all that wussy rock out there. With 2008, and 2009 being a great thowback to metal, with Testament, Megadeth, Metallica(gasp), out for vengeance and certainly Slayer to add to the metal bunch. Now all we need is a little Anthrax in the mix, and we can all be Caught In A Mosh somewhere at a show in 2010! Metal Lives!

『Slayer is back with yet another strong album's worth of speed, blood, and more blood! In my opinion, their strongest album since "Diabolus in Musica". Favorite trax are "Beauty Through Order"&"Hate Worldwide"&"Human Strain". Lyrics are intense throughout the album, including comments on the planets' oil controversies on "Americon".

The bonus DVD (Limited Edition only) includes a 20 minute graphic video "Playing with Dolls", written and directed by Mark Brooks. Story of a young boy who discovers his mother killed and in her own pool of blood. He grows up with deep personal issues, I mean deep, and reconciles himself by trying to bring his mother back, by using the various body parts of the women he has killed. Blood, Blood and more Blood.

Be warned, it is quite intense and a little disturbing. Seeing a nun get whacked across the head with a huge cross, hmmm. If you're a big Slayer fan, than this is something you'd probably like to have and should have as the packaging and double digipack is quite impressive. Otherwise, the DVD is not something you would watch more than once.

『The great thing about 21st century Slayer is that they sound like 20th century Slayer. They wrote ground breaking/blistering thrash in the 80s and World Painted Blood would fit nicely alongside any of the other albums. In a music world where everyone wants to sound like somebody else (and there are a lot of bands trying to sound like Slayer during this current thrash revival) it is nice to hear a band that cares only about being themselves. If you are wanting Slayer to evolve, this album is not for you. Its still 100% pedal to the metal thrash. If you love their old albums then World Painted Blood will not disappoint.』

『Elmo is so entrancing, I have no idea how he does it, but when this DVD is on, my daughter can't help but stare at the TV and talk to Elmo (even at only 6 months old!) This episode of Elmo's World is particularly cute because he explores the world of adorable babies-humans and animals. Something about babies makes other babies want to watch. Thanks to Elmo, I get some much needed "Me time"...Although this DVD gets old for me some days, it's worth it because my daughter is glued to it and just can't seem to get enough of this fuzzy little monster and his cute little friends!!』

(Run Appaloosa Run)

『Had not watched this particular Walt Disney movie since I was a young girl; it's a classic and for the whole family. It was also a bonus to have the second movie (The 101 Problems of Hercules) on the same tape - glad I purchased it and that it's on my shelf permanently now.』

(Wonderful World of Disney, 2 really good episodes!)

『This video has 2 separate adventure episodes from "The Wonderful World of Disney" television show that played on Sunday nights from 1953 to 1983. These are two of my favorite episodes, both are very thrilling adventure tales. The first is "Run, Appaloosa, Run", originally aired on the TV show in 1967 (season 14, episode 7) after serving as a theatrical featurette in July 29, 1966 along with the Main Feature at the time, "Lt Robin Crusoe". First release to video was in 1986. It's a story of Mary Blackfeather, a Native American girl of the Nez Pierce tribe who trains horses and performs as a trick rider. The Nez Perce are known for developing the spotted horses. Mary adopts a motherless colt that is rescued from a mountain lion by the family's herd dog "Silver", raises her and names her "Holy Smoke". Mary is eventually separated from her horse when she is forced to sell it at an auction to help her tribe raise money as horse sales are the basis of the tribe's economy in the film. The horse passes from one unworthy owner to another before he and Mary are reunited. They find each other again at a rodeo, and then land up joining in the historic annual "Suicide Relay Race", at Hells Mountain during the Omak Stampede. This is known as the roughest horse race in North America, dreamed up originally by the Nez Perce, consisting of a two horse per team relay of very rough terrain including jumping and swimming elements. Worse yet there are no rules and riders try to knock other riders off their horse. The herd dog "Silver" is amazing, and performs very well. This film is unique because it also features the famous rodeo clown Wilbur Plaugher playing himself, and many Native American actors. The movie was credited by Time Magazine at the time for a surge in popularity for Appaloosa horses. The Official Disney Encyclopedia Disney A to Z, on page 478 incorrectly lists the colt as "Sky Dancer", and in all fairness it is rare to see mistakes in that book.
The terrific cowboy singing and narration is by Rex Allen, and the title song he performs, "Ballad of Appaloosa" is written by Bobby Wayne. Fun and exciting adventure film for the whole family. Filmed in Technicolor and directed by Larry Lansburgh, who also wrote the original story, photographed and produced the film. Lansburgh had a long career of making Disney animal featurettes from the 1940's. Later he wrote and produced, a terrific theatrical feature film for Disney, "the Littlest Outlaw".

This next episode on this VHS is really a good one, first aired in October 10, 1966 and twice more in the next 10 years. Based on a true story, "101 Problems of Hercules" is about a sheepherder in the 1880's named Buckeye Jones (Harold Reynolds) in the old western frontier days. Buckeye and his 3 faithful dogs take great care of their herd, despite the fact that the dogs are an unusual mix of herding breeds. The dogs are Lady (a Collie), Boomer (English Sheepdog),&Hercules the lead dog (Hungarian Kuvasz). Buckeye is put out of action by some Indians, and the dogs attempt to get the sheep home without him through rain storms, duststorms, wolves and other predators, and thieves that are after the flock. Real exciting story and amazing what the dogs can do. I recommend this tape.

(Pretty Appaloosa, Predictable Story)

『Young squaw Mary Blackfeather (Adele Palacios) believes that her spotted Nez Percé Indian pony, Holy Smoke (played by Mt. Baldy's Holy Smoke), has what is takes to win in rodeos. But her tribe needs money, and she's forced to sell him - when the horse winds up with an abusive cowboy, Mary decides that she must risk everything to get her beloved pony back. She does, and trains him for a very dangerous but profitable relay race called the Hell's Mountain Stampede. If they win, Mary's tribe will be rich and she will be able to keep Holy Smoke. Hm, I wonder what happens?

『The surge protector my husband had was about a hundred years old. Well, not literally, but I thought it a good idea to get something from this century, not 1995.

What can one say about surge protectors? You only know how great they are if something happens and they DON'T work! Let's hope not.

I like about this surge suppressor that it has 6 big places (3 on each side) to plug in those big transformer plugs that take up so much space. Then there are 6 receptacles running down the center for your more normal plugs. There are also coax plugs and a phone plug. A 10 foot cord completes the unit. It also has indicator lights on it, red for not working and green for protecting.

All in all, this is just what I needed at a reasonable price, and I am quite pleased with it.』

I guess If lightening strikes, it goes down the grounding mostly (one of the other reviewers hinted at this). Has safety covers for outlets not used (in case you have tiny children, I guess - though probably would be best to put those outlet covers on it, instead, in case they could open it - maybe it's also to keep dust out). The only drawback for me, is when I purchased it it was $24, and now it's selling for cheaper on amazon, I think 19.99. Well, you can't win them all. It is only $5.00 cheaper now. I should have bought a book or something and gotten free shipping for orders over $25, also, as shipping was $6.00. Oh well, live and learn.』

『This stuff simply does what it's supposed to do. My vet supplied the first dose but it was expensive. Expensive but it worked. I tried another brand but it didn't really work. I purchased Frontline online for an affordable price, applied it to the cat and no more misery for the cat. Also no more danger of a home flea infestation.
I'll purchase more next year for monthly application.』

『I agree with the other reviewer who believes Frontline changed something.
We have been using this for 2 years on 2 cats with good results, but the last 2 applications did not work at all. Both cats kept scratching even after their monthly dose, and we could see the fleas crawling on them. My husband stopped at the vet and bought a pill(Capstar) for each cat and within 30 minutes of them ingesting the pills fleas began falling off them. We couldn't believe how many! Unfortunatley, the pill only kills the fleas right then and has no lingering effect. Another dose of Frontline and they are back to scratching and the fleas are crawling.
