(Best I could find for the dollar) 『These are great stands for the low price I paid. The price beat the large stores by $14. Two things you may need to know, first be very careful not to cross thread riser into base, I found it easier to thread the pipe from the bottom of the base to clean up threads and then put it together correctly from the top side. The other thing was the mount is setup for speakers with a pre-threaded insert or wood housed or plastic housed speakers that you can drill holes into and screw the base of the stand into. Another option which I used is double sided tape included, I had plastic housed speakers I did not want to drill into, so I used the included double sided tape. Fot extra security I put a screw in the wall hanging hole in my speaker housing and secured it to the back support brack with a flat washer and nut. These stands look stylish and fit perfectly with the styling of my livingroom.』

My husband was skeptical because of the price and simplicity of the design, but he is won over now. Literally one puts in together in 1 minute, adds litter and it is ready to go. No batteries, water, electricity needed. Cats are happy. People are happy. The world is good. Cleaning the litter box has never been easier...roll it over and then back, pull out the drawer, dump the kitty treats, put drawer back and the box is all clean. Buy this box.』
(Very good product) 『I have a lot of cats, so scooping boxes is very time consuming. This product has shortened that time considerably and works very well. You need enough space where the box is located, or very close, as you have to roll it sideways until it is upside down. I've found you need to bang on the bottom while it is upside down as some clumps stick to the bottom.
I haven't had any problems with litter coming out when it is rolled over, but make sure the clips that hold the top on are secure.
My only real complaint, and it might not apply to everyone, is that for some of my larger cats, the box is a bit too small. It is especially not deep enough for the big guys, they go in head first and their poop winds up just outside the box. For normal size cats this won't be a problem. Might also like to see a vent with smell filter like some of the other covered boxes.
Overall, I think it works fine and would recommend it.』

I remember when "Oh Happy Day" first hit the charts in the late 60s, and recall that Edwin Hawkins and crew caught a lot of flack from area church officials for performing in secular venues, not to mention that there were petitions to rock stations not to play the song, since, evidently, sacred songs should not be contaminated by association with such devil's music.
But my, how the times have changed!! God is not dead (as was touted back then in that famous slogan ripped off from Nietzsche), the devil does not have a monoploy on good tunes (he never did--read the psalms) nor rhythms (not to mention the rich, moving, even sensuous voices), and genre-melding is no longer the no-no it once was. Even if you're not a gospel fan, this compilation will have you tapping your feet at the very least, especially if you enjoy classic soul and R&B. Smart, sassy arrangements, songs of verve and hope, and a well-paced sequence makes this CD a winner. I want MORE!!

But...
First and foremost, they are NOT country. Now, i certainly didn't expect to pop this CD in and hear a newer version of George Jones or Hank Williams coming out of my speakers, but this...this should not even be on the same shelves as a country music CD.
There seems to be a trend in "new" country music these days, where anybody that includes a fiddle or a steel guitar in their music is packaged and sold as "country". It is a huge disservice to real country fans when music like this gets classified as country music.
That is not to say that it isn't good...as I already stated, the songs are catchy, the harmonies very nicely done, and I would probably pop this CD in every once in a while just to cruise down the road to.But let's call Love and Theft what they really are...a pop group forced into country packaging.』

(Stupendous Disney Double Feature) 『If you have kids, or even if you don't...this Disney double feature is a must. The Keystone Cubs(1st feature) is classic Disney fare. The things these bears do...especially at the end is just Down right funny. The part when they are hitting up cars for food is just as humorous. Then there are the cubs driving the motor boat. I love this movie. Rex Allen is the narrator. He does a great job and did a lot of movies for Disney where he was just the narrator. His voice is great. Ours is worn to a frazzle and Disney desperately needs to put these great epsiodes on DVD. The second feature "Flash", about an otter is equally good. These are wholesome movies you can set before your kids and not have to worry about them seeing something that would pervert them. I am a Christian father and am very careful about what my kids watch. You can't go wrong with this gem...buy it and you won't be sorry!!!』
(Disney animal stories) 『Disney animal stories are the most fun to watch. They were able to showcase the personality of animals in such a unique way. This video features 2 of their television episodes. The first is "Yellowstone Cubs", a theatrical featurette from 1963 that was later shown on the "The Wonderful World of Disney" TV show for the first time in 1965. It was popular enough to be re-shown 3 more times over the next 10 years. Placed in Yellowstone Park as the name implies, it is about the adventures of 2 bear cubs who got away from momma bear, while she frantically searches for them.
The second story was a theatrical featurette shown before the main feature in 1965 It had already shown on television in 1961 on the weekly television program which is the reverse of the usual method of showing their programs in theatre first. "Flash the Teenage Otter" and his sister are born into a nature reserve, where their mother teaches them how to survive. The frolicking of the otters is a delight to watch. This is an educational, exciting, and fun nature story. Disney studios had a way of filming real life activity in the wild and adapting it to an interesting storyline with narrative and music. Our whole family enjoys this one and recommend!
I highly recommend this video and others in the series. Disney released many other titles from the TV episodes, just search on Amazon under "Wonderful World of Disney". The Yellowstone Bears episode was released on DVD in 2008.

(The Standard for Flashlights) 『Flashlights have some die hard enthusiasts, and I do not count myself among their ranks. I purchased this flashlight knowing that Maglite is generally the standard for powerful and rugged flashlights. This was my first LED flashlight and I am very impressed by the intensity of the light that it throws and the distance that it can throw it. I did notice that when you adjust the beam you do get some "rings" in the light, but they did not have any effect on the satisfaction I have with the light. It isn't anything much worse than the old bulb-based light I upgraded from. The unit is very solid and has some heft in it just like all Maglites do, which is something that I appreciate. I am very happy with this purchase and would recommend this light to anyone who wants a good, solid flashlight and doesn't really care about spending a lot of money to get the best that money can buy.』

(Mystery of "DL" Models Solved (Almost)) 『This is a follow-up to the issues raised in the review by Diemaker67 ("Yes but") posted on March 21, 2009, concerning US/non-US models and models with serial numbers starting with "DL". I've had many exchanges of e-mail with Maglite customer service. With the exception of one issue, I now have solid information which should clear things up a lot. Here goes.
(1) US/non-US Models. Units for US/non-US distribution are identical.
(2) Warranty. Units sold in the US, and in other countries, are covered by a "limited lifetime warranty". Units sold in *some* countries are sold with a *10 year limited warranty*. Maglite says that's only because business regulations in some countries do not permit a "limited lifetime warranty" to be offerred. Units being sold in the US with a "10 year limited warranty" are not grey market goods. Apparently some units are packaged with the incorrect inserts. Maglite will honor the "limited lifetime warranty". Since 10 years is a long time, this is really an academic issue. If you read the warranty, the LED is not covered, and that's the part that's most likely to go (except for the switch, maybe).
(3) "DL" models. "DL" does NOT indicate non-US models. Turns out there are two generations of LED models. The first gen ("D" models) have a replaceable LED. It has a spare krypton bulb in the tail cap. The second gen ("DL" models) have a non-replaceable LED and therefore does NOT have a spare bulb in the cap.
(4) Brightness. Maglite says there is no difference in brightness between first gen and second gen. However, if you Google "Maglite LED DL", you will find different information. Turns out there are geeky forums and blogs dedicated to flashlights. They call themselves "flashaholics". According to a couple of detailed posts, the second gen LED is much brighter than the first gen LED. In fact, there are a couple of posts that says a second gen light running on 2-D cell batteries (Sorry about all these D's, but bear with me. I'll also refrain from making wisecracks about DD's :-)) is much brighter than a first gen light running on 3-D cell batteries. Besides the improved LED, the reflector bowl has been redesigned. I can personally vouch for this. I was impressed enough with this light that I decided to order another. Amazon was selling the 3-D cell model for $6 less than the 2-D cell model, so I bought the larger one. Surprise, surprise, it's dimmer. Turns out it's a first gen model. Maglite says this should NOT be dimmer, and, if I mail it to them, they will check it out. But I need to pay to ship it out. There's no point in paying almost $10 to ship out a $21 unit.
Note added: The first gen is the same as the incandescent, except it has a removable LED module which can be swapped with the standard bulb. But this means that the light is not optimized for an LED, which has different optical properties. The second gen has been redesigned specifically for an integrated LED. That probably explains the improved performance, even though they are both rated for 3 watts.
5) How do you know what you are getting. Not easily. The only way to tell for sure if you have a second gen vs first gen is by looking at the serial number. First gen starts with "D"; second gen starts with "DL". However, if you order by mail, you obviously can't do that. Also, since they are blister packed, it's hard to do that in a store as well.
If you read some of the geek posts, there are some subtle differences in size and packaging. Note added: Compared side-by-side, the second gen has a deeper and shiner reflector bowl. If you look at the LED (turned off of course!) there also is a difference. All this is moot, of course, if you are ordering online. Even in a store, it's hard to tell because they are blister packed. And you have to know in advance what you look for.
But Maglite decided not to make an announcement of "New, improved, second gen" or anything of the sort. No explicit label on the package. I asked Maglite when second gen was introduced. No answer. From a web search, it appears to be recent, last two months or so. Second gen 2-D cell is definitely out. Not sure of availability of second gen 3-D cell and 4-D cell sizes. So there will be mixed inventory on store shelves and online warehouses. I think this is a mistake on Maglite's part. Customers like to know what they are getting. I guess this avoids clearance sales on first gen units. But remember, they insist there is no difference in brightness,so there is no need for an announcement. I think though that people would still want to know about the non-replaceable LED. And, if second gen does in fact have improved performance, I would think that would be a great selling point. Adapted by the famous children's novel by Roald Dahl, the story tells of James, whose parents were killed by a mysterious rhinoceros. He lives with two cruel aunts named Spiker and Sponge, who do nothing but verbally abuse him ever since he has moved in with them. On a typical summer day, James comes a cross a stranger who gives him a bag of "crocodile tongues." These tongues are important, as the stranger tells James that these will help him find happiness. Unexpectedly, James trips and falls, sending these tongues into the roots of a peach tree. Within moments, a particular peach grows until it becomes the size of a two-story house. With the aunts making money off of this strange phenomenon, James finds himself inside the core of the peach, where insects living inside have also evolved. A centipede, grasshopper, spider, ladybug, and earthworm become his friends. What comes next is a fantastic adventure, as James and friends are on their way (through sky and water) to New York City to find happiness.
The clay-mation here is wonderful. It's almost as astounding as the animation in The Nightmare Before Christmas. There's both beauty and ugliness (when required) all around. I've read the original Dahl novel, and it was nice to see these characters brought to life (though I expected the grasshopper to be a bit different than he was in the actual film). The songs here are quite forgettable; practically none of them are very enjoyable to listen to. But there are few songs here, so they're not too distracting. And finally, keep in mind, as little kids may be frightened at some creepy images such as the rhinoceros. This is still a lovely family film to boot. I can easily recommend it to anyone.』

The animation, featuring stop-action stick figures, is outstanding, as are the colors. Each character is unique, like none I've seen before in other animated flicks. Not only the characters, but how they are dressed. (i.e. long gloves and stockings on a spider). The aunts in here are a real hoot to look at, particularly the one with the pronounced teeth.
The storyline is simple and there is absolutely nothing offensive. The only warning I would give is there is a bit too much violence for very small kids and the ending is a bit silly for adults.
This is a musical, and the songs are nothing special. There are not a lot of them: five to be exact. In all, good entertainment and a good visual and audio film for a nice DVD system. (Very good, but could have been great with just a bit more thought) 『Reviewing something like the "Best of Smackdown" is very difficult because it's so subjective. Pick me&9 other WWE fans at random, 10 superstars of Smackdown (past, present&intended future) plus 10 WWE commentators/refs/officials&backroom "players" like JR, Shane McMahon, Earl Hebner, et al, stick each of us down in front of 500+ episodes of Smackdown and all you can be sure of is that you are going to get 30 completely different lists of "100 Best Moments". My list would be completely different to The Rock's, Jeff Hardy's would be completely different to Earl Hebner's which would be nothing like Jim Ross's, etc. None of us can claim our list is more valid than the other 29 - sure, Batista is a wrestler, but I'm a fan, and it's us fans who keep WWE in profits, etc, but Batista is the guy out there putting his health on the line and walking the walk I can't and wouldn't even attempt. So, what's good about this DVD - well, for a start (in my opinion) they've got the 100 BM pick more right than wrong (other reviewers have listed the matches/highlights, so I won't). When you're dealing with 500+ episodes of TV, and such amazing "characters" as The Undertaker, Eddie Guerrero, The Rock, Steve Austin, Matt Hardy, Jeff Hardy, The Big Show, Dave Batista, Rey Mysterio, etc., whittling your choices down is always going to be hard. This DVD is a great nostalgia trip, WWE has tapped into that desire for feelgood "do-you-remember-when" reminiscing that we all do. Particularly if you are or have faced challenges/tragedies in your life in recent years, sitting down with a DVD and seeing something amusing, or cool, from back in 2000 or 2004 makes you smile and remember a time when life didn't suck quite as much, or when you watched a show together with a friend or loved one you lost, and that makes you remember happy memories of that person, instead of fresh grief at their loss. The best thing about Smackdown - again purely my opinion - is that it connected with fans on level that RAW couldn't and still doesn't. RAW still seems to have that attitude that fans are just marks, that 'we're wrestlers you're just suckers' sensation; they seem to have that 'we will shove kayfabe in the faces of the fans regardless' which is patronising and insulting - although that's just my sense of it, which may be wrong. Smackdown has always had that tendency towards humour (admittedly occasionally puerile and OTT) but with the saving grace of being able to take it as well as dish it out - can you imagine the wrestlers on the RAW roster being as willing to send themselves up to the extent that their Smackdown colleagues are? For example, and some of the moments showcased - The Big Show (who actually, does look better bald) letting himself be tranked and shaved? That takes guts and a solid sense of not being a jerk to allow someone to do that to you; again with "Mattitude" - it takes a talent for comedic timing, good acting talent and a willingness to look a complete berk in front of millions to pull off what Matt Hardy managed with Version 1.0, not to mention the utterly inspired idea of adopting the Ultimate Egomaniac's No.1 Trait - referring to yourself in the third person, "Matt likes guacamole"; it's disgraceful that Matt has never been able to achieve WWE Heavyweight Champion, given everything he has done for WWE. Smackdown was/is so good because "Mattitude" wasn't an isolated flash of brilliance - the Rock&Sock Connection was priceless - Mick Foley and Dwayne Johnson just lit up the screen whenever you put them together on camera. Kurt Angle also was hilarious - again, it takes a great deal of character to allow yourself to be made the butt of the joke in front of millions, like KA allowed "Edge" to do and also Steve Austin with those medals. What makes Smackdown work so well, I believe, is because the show and the wrestlers on it don't dishonour kayfabe, but at the same time don't insult and condescend to the fans with that 'smart marks' attitude - they invite us fans to join the kayfabe conspiracy as willing accomplices and we're all in it together for the ride, having fun. You get the sense of that watching the "100 BM". My final positive is that Smackdown rarely showcased that streak of spite and malice that RAW scriptwriters seemed to revel in - the humour only occasionally strayed into "stupid" instead of "slapstick" and only occasionally did you have "drama" that went too far, like the inappropriate storyline over Rey's young son - dragging a little boy into a televised storyline is not on - but, given the wholly unacceptable and deeply offensive antics on RAW (Edge&Lita's "live sex scene" was particularly puerile) over the years, Smackdown managed to stay on the right side of style and class. So what's negative about it - well, again, this is purely subjective, but I'm sure many will share my "you're kidding" feelings - In my opinion, such things as the APA bar room brawl had no place in the top 500 never mind 100 - given that Smackdown has all that talent and so many moments to choose from, how that got remotely close is beyond me. Yes, Smackdown has always had more humour and been more respectful to the fans than RAW, but it is a sports show, about wrestling. Jeff Hardy finally winning WWE Heavyweight Championship (2008) and the tribute to the late, much missed Eddie Guerrero (2005) only made it into the back end of the 40s, yet non-wrestling 'events' like Jeff Jarrett wallop Mae Young&The Fabulous Moolah with a guitar beat out both? I'm sorry, but no. Secondly there's the pundits/interviews/commentators from the wrestlers and former managers/agents/bookers like Michael Hayes, Matt Striker and so forth. It's obvious that hours and hours of footage were filmed but nobody is really given the chance to say anything insightful, and particularly not the wrestlers; I would much rather have had a few more minutes of proper perspective from an articulate interviewee like Matt Hardy who can speak authoritatively about the physicality and technical aspects of the clip (and therefore put across just how brilliant it was/what an achievement it was for the person to pull off), and interviews at the relevent junctures with former Smackdown "giants" such as Mick Foley and The Rock rahter than "Michael Hayes". Again, The Miz gives soundbites - I have nothing against him, but he's only been WWE since 06, what about those that have been there from the beginning, like Rey Mysterio, etc., being given more airtime? It would also have been innovative, fresh and insightful to have some commentating from the great, unsung and ignored heroes of the entire WWE - the referees who have the unenviable job of not being athletes and yet get stuck in the middle between two or more these large, angry louts on a weekly basis - Scott Armstrong (who just recently got dragged into a storyline "match" with CM Punk), and Brian Hebner, etc. Again, nothing against Michael Cole or Matt Striker, but why wasn't Jim Ross and/or Jerry "The King" Lawler commentating - those two have always had the best tag-team commentating chemistry with each other, and it is a pity they were ever split up, because they play so well off each other that having the pair of them argue and banter their way through the commentary would have been excellent and funny. The final thing that would have made this DVD great instead of merely very good is that they should have included, as a bonus, at least two complete episodes in their entirity - the first ever episode of Smackdown to be broadcast, the 9/11 tribute episode (because WWE has never gotten the credit it deserves for being the first mainstream American entity to hold a large-scale gathering 2 days after the terrorist attacks of 9/11) and possibly one other - maybe the Eddie Guerrero tribute episode? Again, I'm sure everyone has their opinion on that.』

(Over 10 years of smackdown goods..) 『As part of the 10th Anniversary of SmackDown, the WWE has released this three-disc DVD set. The format of this set is a countdown of the top 100 moments in the history of the show. The DVD set is hosted by Michael Cole and Matt Striker. To avoid spoiling the set for you, I have listed the countdown of the 100 moments on page 2. The Review Before becoming a network dedicated to trying to find love for losers, VH1 used to consistently run countdown specials. All of these countdowns featured a cast of characters giving their comments about something. However, instead of being able to enjoy the clips of the artists, I always found myself unsatisfied and wanting more. This DVD set is the WWE's version of those countdown specials. The hosts of the DVD, Matt Striker and Michael Cole, do a good job of moving the action along. Striker is getting better at this job and isn't a liability to this DVD like he was for the Randy Savage DVD. As far as the people talking during the clips, Todd Grisham is on fire during this set and this is his finest work with the company to date.
Format and Match Selection Issues One of the problems with this format of the DVD is that you never get a feel for how the show was during a particular period and how it has changed over time. While each disc of the RAW XV DVD showed a progression of the WWE, the format of this set ensures that the DVD starts off slow with stuff you probably won't care about and eventually gets better. However, the thing that makes the least sense is the selection of the matches. The matches picked for this set take place throughout the set so you never go too long without watching a match. However, wouldn't you rather see the match that was the number 2 moment in SmackDown history as opposed to the match the WWE ranked 94 slots lower?
While I'm not surprised that we don't get to see a full Chris Benoit match, I am shocked there is no full Brock Lesnar match. Hopefully, the WWE is working on a 3-disc set for him and that is the reason we don't get any of his complete matches on this set.

Overall Recommendation Thumb's in the middle. While a nice stroll down memory lane, this DVD could have been so much more. The 3-disc DVD set for RAW was significantly better for two reasons. One was the format and the other is that since RAW is considered the flagship program of the WWE, SmackDown has been considered the B-show for most of the decade. While many will say that SmackDown has been the better show since the draft, the problem with that argument in regards to this DVD is that there in nothing from 2009 on the set. Four user profiles are available to save, but anyone can easily input their info to get accurate body fat and BMI ratings. It automatically turns off after 5 minutes of inactivity which i think its great to save the battery life! 』
(Weight only - forget about body fat&BMI) 『I have had this scale for 7 months. It seems to do a good job of showing my weight. However, it rarely gives anything other than error codes for body fat % and body mass index. I follow all the instructions for set up and use. The only time I get anything other than ERR2 or ERR4 for body fat % or BMI is if I use the scale immediately after stepping out of the shower. I've tried dampening my feet and all the other suggestions but nothing else works.
When it does show a body fat %, the number is not even close to being accurate. I have calculated my body fat % using other methods and the Omron doubles the result.
I could have gotten a digital scale for weight only for a lot less.』

(DOA) 『Ordered 2 units, one black one blue, intended as Christmas gifts for my nephew and niece. I opened up the black one first. Loaded up software, configured users, upgraded memory, web cam, touch pad, keyboard, wifi N, bluetooth, everything works just fine.
I than hooked up the blue one. DOA! Tried plugged and unplugged battery, ac power, F2...no sign of any activity other than the fan and those little blue lights. Called Asus 24/7 help support. Friendly service lady but all suggestions she gave I had already tried myself before.
Amazon makes the return and replacement policy easy but the replacement is shipped via USPS. I am crossing my fingers now because I have a few games and blu-ray moves from amazon took near a month to be delivered via USPS.
As of my view on the working black one, well I consider myself as a power user. My desktop hard drive or graphic card alone costs nearly as much as this netbook already and my current laptop is the 17" MacBook Pro. So I just can't help but feel this netbook is sluggish from time to time. The plastic casing feels cheap compares to the aluminum on MackBook Pro. The touch pad is too small for me.
Bottom line is SD video playback and Skype works just fine.

Not only does it have great battery perfomance, it offers a sleugh of other features that just make it an overall great value. I have been pondering it over for a while and decided to go the route of the netbook, its small enough to be portable, but has the abililty to handle basic task such as word processing, web browsing and email. I purchased this item with Windows 7 and was upset with the limitation of not being able to change the wallpaper. However, ASus has a great application/utility on their site that they released that circumvents this hinderance. I have it with Win 7 Starter, 1GB of Ram (which I upgraded to 2 GB - highly recommended) 250 GB HDD (with 500GB of Internet Storage, graciously provided by Asus), comes with an inner sleeve (I recommended getting a carry case), built in webcam and mic. It also has 3 USB ports, bluetooth, 802.11b/g/n wireless LAN, memory card reader and best of all 10.5hours of battery life, that you cannot beat.
Overall, for the cost and value plus the things you get from this machine, it is definately worth the purchase in my opinion.
You might be wondering why I gave it 4 stars after all the praise. Well Win 7 Starter for one, that is mainly M$ fault for even release a crippled version of windows 7, shame on them. I agree that it is an irritation to stand by the BDP to wait for the tray to open, and a few seconds can be saved by pressing the button to open the tray while getting the next BD ready.
I have BDP300 remote controls. BDP300 was the first commercially affordable BDP which came out over a year ago, and is already pretty much obsolete because of the 90 second boot time.
Remote controls are expensive items, and if one can swop the remotes between the old BDP 300 and the new BDP 360, we can get the more solid BDP 300 remote to open AND close the BDP 360 tray! They are mutually compatible and INTERCHANGEABLE. The BDP 360 remote can be relegated to the BDP 300: the Open button is relatively redundant with the BDP300. After pressing the start or tray OPEN button on the old BDP 300, I still have 90 seconds to go to the toilet and come back, or have a Coke zero, or rummage through the BD collection.
This is a plug and play BDP. There is the BDP560 if you want extra features. Some BDs which will not play on the old BDP300 work on BDP360, like The Ninth Gate (Johnny Depp), The Best of Soundstage.
The sold-in-USA BDP360 will not play Region 3 dvds. Tried and failed.
The BDP360s sold elsewhere (i.e. not from Amazon and delivered within the USA) are multi-coded for DVDs from all regions, and we pay a hefty premium for international versions of BDP360 which plays and upscales ALL dvds from ALL regions. The USA version of BDP360 cannot therefore replace the multi-region dvd player you might happen to have.
There is no need to retire the old BDP300. Smaller TVs can still benefit from the old BDP300, which is thunky enough to support a small LCD TV on top (although not recommended without some adaptation). The small size of the BDP360 placed in front of the TV table-top means one can still see the sub-titles from some viewing angles, like lying on the sofa. The BDP300 can be salvaged for another room, or when placing it at an angle to the BDP360 with another TV (to avoid triggering off two BDPs at once).
That is my solution to the lack of the OPEN/CLOSE button issue. Use the old remote.

(A great, basic Blu-Ray player) 『There are lots of new Blu-Ray players coming out with advanced features like network streaming of videos. But I've already got an Xbox360 hooked up to my home theater, and several PCs available as well, and all of them can handle any video streaming needs I may have. All I really needed was a Blu-Ray player that would do a really nice job playing Blu-Ray discs and my old DVDs. Thanks to the new players, the price on this one has really dropped, so I pounced.
I had one small glitch hooking it up. My HDTV is an older Sony 34" CRT that handles 480i, 480p, 720p, and 1080i, but not 1080p. I hooked the Blu-Ray player up through my Onkyo receiver using an HDMI cable, which then handles the connection to the TV. When I told the BDP-S360 to use the HDMI connection, all I got was a black screen. I ended up having to use the composite video cables that come with the player to get a picture, and then told the player to use 720p output. Everything then worked fine. So something in the handshake between the TV, receiver, and player thought 1080p was supported, but once forced to 720p everything was fine.
Disc loading times aren't bad, taking about the same time as booting up my Xbox360 or turning on my 400-disc DVD changer, so I really didn't notice them. The picture, even at only 720p, is FANTASTIC, showing details I just never noticed before and really enhancing the picture. An example here is that with Tinker Bell and the Lost Treasure (yes, most of my viewing is for the kids), the pixie dust effects on the DVD have a lot more "glow" to them, while on the Blu-Ray they are individual sparks that don't cover the background as much. The detail improvement is really impressive.
Updating the firmware was pretty trivial. With the Xbox360 and a Wii I already have ethernet running to the entertainment center along with a hub, so I just hooked up another cable and it downloaded and upgraded easily.
So far I'm very happy. If you really want video streaming you may need to look elsewhere, or if you need a WiFi network connection, but since I did not need either this was a perfect fit at a very good price.』

(Great Blu Ray Player for the Price) 『I bought this player after my upconverting dvd player's remote quit working, which gave me a good excuse to upgrade. For the price this player can't be beat. The picture quality is awesome, the upconverting looks good, and the sound is great too. The menus, setup, and features are very user friendly. The start up times are good, and I don't notice the long wait time some have mentioned. It does lack certain features which would be nice, such as the Netflix streaming capability. Although I have a Netflix account, I would have to set it up through wi-fi (not available with this player), and I don't think I would use it that frequently for it to be an issue.
My main concern in choosing a blu ray player was it's compatibility with recordable dvd's (dvd+r or dvd-r). I have alot of home movies on standard recordable discs and wanted to make sure that I would be able to view them on the player. This player does play my standard recorded dvd's without any problems. The issue involving the player not continuing the movie if you press stop as opposed to pause must be a disc issue. I stopped a few movies, even turned off the player, and the movie started from where it stopped. Also, the remote not having an eject button, I still need to get up to remove the disc so this isn't an issue for me.

(Perfect pocket camera) 『This is my 3rd CoolPix camera, my last one was L17 which was destroyed by a camping mis-hap. The L20 was a nice upgrade with bigger LCD, a bit more zoom and a couple more mega-pixels. The only issue I've had with it is that during video play back (on the camera or watching on a PC) the video part will stop and the sound keeps going while zooming in or out. My previous L17 didn't have this issue.
Overall for under a 100 bucks I cannot complain. Well done Nikon!』

So, in preparation for my trip to Australia I decided to buy this Coolpix camera from Nikon. Now that my trip is over and after 700 pics taken in just over 3wks Down Under, I have to say the Nikon Coolpix is a pretty decent camera. Its one of the easiest cameras Ive ever used. Right out of the box, you pop in a digital media card for photo storage and then turn it on and you are ready to start shooting with the Auto Focus setting already enabled. This auto focus setting changes on the fly (which is good for beginning photo shooters) depending on the kind of shot your taking or time of day (sunlight or evening) your shooting photos. There are other focus modes available as well for more advanced photographers. There is also a video mode that allows you to shoot .avi videos. Has a great power saving function as well that turns off the camera after about 15 seconds of non-use as well. The one thing I dont really like about the camera is the slow turn on time. When you want to get a shot and need to take a quick photo, the Coolpix has a very slow turn on. It takes about 3 to 5 seconds before its ready for an actual picture. Otherwise, for the price I paid, Im very happy with the product...!』
