Usually ships in 24 hours Core2Duoノートレビュー 's review (great vacuum, great value) 『This is a lot of vacuum for not much money. What I like most is the ability to turn off the floor roller-brush: it turns off automatically when the vacuum is upright or when a second switch near the carpet height adjustment is pushed. You gain all the advantage of a canister in an upright, which is easier to maneuver. The vacuum strength is very good. The switch for floor or hose (attachments) is conveniently located near waist-height (the big yellow dial on the right). The machine feels solid but it is not heavy. Although it is not as quiet as some (e.g. Electrolux Oxygen), it is not annoyingly noisy, either (I don't hold conversations or listen to the radio while vacuuming, anyway). The long cord means you are not changing plugs all the time. The clear plastic cover on the roller makes it obvious if the roller-brush is on or off. The HEPA filter means the vented air is very clean. I got a rebuilt, which shipped with minimal packaging (yeah!) and looks fine but is missing the pet-hair/riser attachment (dispensable). Nothing can make vacuuming fun but this makes it not so bad.』
(DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY) 『This vaccum just works for a month or 2.After that all parts come off. suction gone, belt broke, its a piece of rock. complete waste of money』
(started out great, now it's good enough) 『The first couple of times I used it on my wooden floors, it was perfect. However, after about 5 uses, it has started to do some kind of suction where it makes it get stuck and I have to kind of pick up the vacuum to reset it. I also don't see the roll on the floor 'rolling' while I'm vacuuming. It only rolls sometimes and I'm not sure if that's normal. But it gets the work done very well. It can be kind of heavy, but nothing out of the ordinary. Easy to handle.』
(Great Vacuum! I Am Really Happy With The Eureka!) 『I am a smart buyer using consumer reports and always do my research before I purchase anything. I just like reading up on products that haven proven reliability and do their job, consumer reports rated this Eureka model very well. The price was right and I like the attachments right on the vacuum, good idea. I have allegies and really want the dust, and pile dirt removed from my rugs. I have purchased other light weight vacuums but the power is just not there to suck up the dirt.』
(Best all-around vacuum) 『Easy to use, adjustable, and practical. After reviewing different brands and models, we feel this is the best all-around vacuum cleaner at the best price.』 『Includes 4-piece tool set Stretch hose.』 『Let's face it. Most vacuums just don't cut it when it comes to really cleaning a home or office. Pesky pet hair embeds deeper in carpet than traditional vacuums go; bits and pieces of tracked-in dirt and debris hunker down under floor trim just out of reach of the latest brush innovations, rendering us to the silliness of handpicking behind that expensive vacuum, filling our pockets with lint, and wondering--who's really the boss? Troubles like these made the folks at Eureka get down and dirty and, ultimately, design the Boss Smart-Vac Upright Vacuum. Offering powerful performance for everyday household cleaning, the Eureka Boss is the solution for people who insist on having a truly clean home. The Boss's Direct Air Control System features an air selector switch that lets you direct all suction either deep into the carpet or to the hose for easy above-the-floor cleaning. The Power Paw brush makes it easy to clean stairs and upholstery, and even claws up embedded pet hair, so Fido can spend more time inside. The motorized brush lets you go from carpet to bare-floor cleaning with the flick of a switch. The Boss Smart-Vac is powered by a beefy, 12-amp motor that provides plenty of suction power for deep-cleaning carpets, and leaves nothing behind on hard floors.
Pretty smart, right? Well, here's the really smart part. The Boss Smart-Vac isn't just the best household carpet- and floor-cleaning vacuum on the market; it's also equipped with a unique, sealed, HEPA filtration system that captures 99.97 percent of dust, pollen, allergens, and bacteria. So, vacuuming the house doesn't mean you have to dust afterward, or sneeze while you're doing it. Cleaner carpets and cleaner indoor air at the same time!
Plus, the Boss comes loaded with user-friendly features to take the frustration out of vacuuming. A wide 15-inch cleaning path covers a lot of ground quickly before company comes. In addition, the exclusive dust trap system captures debris and dust in three stages. A handy stretch hose extends to five times its original length for reaching around furniture and sucking the cobwebs off the ceiling. And, a 30-foot cord won't leave you coming up short. The bare floor brush is designed to smoothly glide across wood and tile floors while picking up more dust and debris in corners and along baseboards than any other model. One extra Type-R belt and one bonus bag come included. The vacuum cleaner measures 12 by 15 by 44 inches and carries a one-year limited warranty.--Brian Olson』

It was so beautiful I started cooking with it right away and burned my first pot. My mistake was using the steamer basket in the stockpot instead of in the smaller pot; the Brussels Sprouts did not tenderize and the water boiled away. No matter. I picked up some Bartender's Helper and polished the pan back to new. This cleaner has been a godsend, by the way. The cookware heats up quicker than most, which I like, and the handles don't get as hot as I expected. It also turns out that if you use the steamer basket in the proper pot, vegetables turn out bright and tender. Very glad I did my research and bought this set!』
(Not yet used) 『I bought this item as a Christmas Present for my husband so it's still in the original box and will be for another 5 weeks. He likes to cook and is really good so I knew he'd like a good cookware set. Since I can't afford a really good set for hundreds of dollars, this seemed like it would probably work. I didn't want to give it stars yet since I really don't know whether it's any good or not.』
(This is the worst set by far!) 『So after reading the reviews and all the rave on how great this set is, i decided to buy one.
Upon receiving it, i was amazed at how shiny it was. The looks was definitely an A+, but that soon turn sour. After using it 1 time, my pots stained. So much for the "stainless" steel. The set burns very very easily. And once it burns, the stain is forever. I've tried just about everything and nothing works. The pot also gets just as hot on the side as it does on the bottom. I found out when i was boiling water and accidentally moved the pot. The water twirled around lightly in the pot but as it hit the rim of the side, it was sizzling and spat out hot water. Oh and the handle, you can forget about it. There is no way any living being can hold the handle with bare hands when its in used. I need my oven mit along with another towel just so that i dont get burned. In 1 experiment, i dripped some water on the handle when i had it on the burner and it sizzled.
this product is a HUGE dissappointment
negative 5 stars if i could.』
(I like the Cuisinart pots and pans) 『I like Cuisinart pots and pans in general. I have a number of pieces that I have bought individually and use them all the time. When my daughter got her own apartment and needed pots and pans I bought her this set. It is a terrific deal. The only problem is that I don't think that the pots and pans in this set are as good or heavy as the ones I have purchased previously on an individual basis. I guess they had to do something to make this set so affordable. For a beginner or for someone who is not a serious cook, this is a really good, complete set, but if you are a serious cook you might want to go with something a little better.』
(Great buy, great product) 『I love everything about this set, except for one complaint: When you lift a lid to stir, it drips condensation because of the design of the lid...curved up instead of down. Heat distribution is outstanding and I think the pots and pans are a great value.』 『Cuisinart, 10 Piece, Chef's Classic, Stainless Steel, Cookware Set, Consists Of: 1-1/2 QT Covered Saucepan, 3 QT Covered Saucepan, 3-1/2 QT Saute Pan With Cover&Helper Handle, 8 QT Covered Stockpot, 8" Open Skillet&10" Open Skillet, 18/10 Mirror Finish Stainless Steel With Aluminum Encapsulated Bottom, Solid Stainless Cool Grip Riveted Handles, Tapered Rims For Drip Free Pouring, Limited Lifetime Warranty.』 『Sautéing wild salmon and stirring a perfect risotto take on spiritual dimensions with this classic Cuisinart cookware. Made of professional quality 18/10 stainless steel that won't react with acidic foods, the pots and pans in this set feature solid cast handles, tight-fitting lids with drip-free rims, and a mirror finish that retains its brightness through dishwasher, freezer, broiler, and oven use up to 550 degrees Fahrenheit. Usually ships in 24 hours Core2Duoノートレビュー 's review (Works great!) 『i have previously owned 3 B n D irons and this one turned out to be the best one. a little bit pricey but its worth the cost! i would recommend this product to anyone.』
(An average iron if you can get over the digital display gimmick) 『The only real reason I use an iron is for steaming out wrinkles with plain water. Prior to trying this out, I have been using the Rowenta DX8900 Professional Iron with No Auto Shut-Off. As other reviewers have mentioned, this iron is fairly heavy. That is one quality that I liked a lot. I always have a problem with cheap irons because it feels like I am wasting energy pressing down on the iron to try to flatten out my clothes. With the D6000, I can just let the weight of the iron do the pressing, and glide it across the clothes to get rid of wrinkles. The second think I liked about it is the surface of actual iron press (the bottom). Cheaper irons usually don't have as smooth a surface as this model, and the iron doesn't glide across clothes as smoothly and "sticks," which actually forms more wrinkles that weren't there before. This is a quality my Rowenta iron has as well and one of the reasons I like it so much.
Unfortunately, those two are about the only really great qualities about the D6000. This iron is trumpeted as "digital" and comes with a bright LCD display. Why? I don't know when we are going to get out of the age of manufacturers throwing LCD displays on every product they make (my toothbrush even has one), but it's not always necessary, and it adds to the cost of the product. I really think they could have gotten rid of the LCD and just added the indicators to the actual iron. The next problem I had with the iron is that it has to be filled horizontally. This wouldn't really be that big of a deal, except the weight of the iron hurts it in this regard, since you have to hold the iron horizontally in the air while you fill it (unless you want to burn up your ironing board). It takes me about 30 seconds to fill this iron (if I am careful not to spill), and as incredibly ripped and muscular as I am, that can become fatiguing to hold the iron for so long. Not to mention that this iron doesn't even come with a funnel, so trying to fill it up is going to almost certainly result in spilling.
The auto shutoff feature of the iron seems to kick on after about 5 minutes. While this can be a plus, it's almost an annoyance to me because I will sometimes take a break while ironing a lot, and then like to come back to a hot iron without having to move it around and wait for it to warm up again. It does warm up fairly quickly though, so overall, that is probably a plus.
Another main feature marketed on the iron is the vertical steam option. I've never really had success with this feature on any iron and the D6000 is no exception. Maybe it works better on certain types of clothes, but on my 100% cotton shirts and pants, it isn't very effective in removing wrinkles, and only results in wasting a ton of water. I prefer to just iron them out the regular way.
The Black&Decker D6000 isn't a bad iron, but I think the actual iron rates a little more on the cheaper side of things, and they likely added the digital read out to jack up the price. For what it is currently selling for, I would suggest consumers look toward something like the Black&Decker D2030 Auto-Off Digital Advantage Iron. 』
(Great Iron/Steamer) 『I love this iron. I've only used it a few times so far, but it makes ironing easy. The iron is completely digital and allows you to choose between different heat settings for different fabrics (like all irons) but then notifies you with the change of an icon and a beep when the proper temperature has been reached.
It acts as a steamer and iron in one device. The steam option can be turned on or off, but when on it automatically lets steam out which generally eliminates creases. Even if you didn't touch the iron to the fabric, the steam would be enough to remove most wrinkles.
The "burst of steam" feature is awesome. It allows you to use the iron as a full blown upright steamer. This works great for a slightly wrinkled shirt on hanger, etc...
The iron is very heavy which is probably good for getting the job done, but can make it little bit difficult to maneuver. It also has a raised lip which allows for ironing under cuffed sleeves. Finally, the iron seems to turn itself off after a few minutes without use. I've really enjoyed using this iron as it seems to be built to last, unlike many other ones I've gone through lately.』
(Love this digital iron!) 『I love my new Black&Decker digital iron! It's a nice-looking, sleek iron with excellent performance. The steam blast is great and very effective. The swivel cord is very convenient and makes the iron easier to handle. The base is stainless steel. It's easy to clean, however, the steel makes this iron a bit heavy. The most attractive feature for me is the digital temperature setting. I have also tried ironing without steam and it does a great job in both cases. The price, while not cheap is still good compared to some other digital irons of this quality.』
(FINALLY - A GREAT KEEPER !) 『I just love this iron. The steam settings are perfect. The weight is great, even though some have complained about it being on the heavy side - stop being so lazy - pump them flabby biceps! This iron has cut down on my last minute rush to iron in the morning before work time at least by 2/3rds! And, it heats up fast! I do not have to keep ironing over the same area to get the wrinkles out! I will probably buy another one just to put it away. Once you find something really good, always buy 2! Or, at least share one with a friend. I had a Black&Decker before, it was good, but not as good as this one. I've tried out all different kinds of irons, mostly at hotels, to try to figure out which kind to buy. The heavier models tend to work better. This one is the best. I use the fill cup from my previous B&D iron to fill this one. And, I do use distilled water, as we are on a well system. No leaks, no fuss, no muss. Just an honest to goodness workhorse of an iron!』 『All-Temp Steam gives you the flexibility to select steam at every temperature setting, allowing you to use steam on your delicate and synthetic fabrics. The easy-to-read digital display indicates the selected fabric type in your choice of English, Spanish or French.』

(Ahhh, the Power Rangers have seen better days) 『Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: The Movie is a strange creature. I guess you could call it an "alternate universe" Power Rangers story. Yes, the movie does share similar story points to the end of Season 2 and beginning of Season 3 of the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers television series, where a new villain arrives, destroys the Rangers' powers, and the powerless Rangers must embark on a journey to find a new power source in order to defeat the new threat.
However, this movie is completely independent of the canon of the television series that spawned it because the events of the movie, particularly its main antagonist Ivan Ooze, are never mentioned or referenced in the TV series. I guess the filmmakers' intent was to make a movie that didn't require the audience to know about the television series.
The acting isn't much different from the television series, since most of the main actors from the show reprise their roles here. The new villain, Ivan Ooze, comes off more like Grampa Munster, devious but in an almost innocuous way. And oddly enough, for a guy who has been trapped in a giant egg for 6,000 years, he can still make Brady Bunch references. I guess he managed to get a cable signal in that egg somehow.
The movie does have a shinier, glossier look and feel to it expected of a movie with a bigger budget. The monsters and villains from the television show have received a noticeable makeover, and the Power Rangers' costumes themselves have also received a redesign, replacing the spandex with sleek suits of armor. Even the soundtrack gets an upgrade by composer Graeme Revell and utilizes source music from Van Halen and Red Hot Chili Peppers.
The Power Rangers' Zords and their monster foes in the television show were simply men in costumes stomping through miniature city sets made of cardboard a la Godzilla; this footage was taken directly from the Super Sentai series from Japan that gave birth to the Power Rangers franchise in America. But in this movie, the Zords and Ivan Ooze's giant insect robots are obviously products of computer-generated effects, though the CG work here is circa 1995 and nowhere near as good as the most recent "giant fighting robots" movies like Transformers.
In all, this is a basic "good vs. evil" kid's movie with lots of shiny things for your kids to enjoy, but don't expect something deeper.』
(Nostalgic Memories of My Childhood) 『It seems like yesterday that my family and I went to see the big screen adaptation of MMPR. I even remember owning all of the promotional McDonald's toys and owning the toy of the Ninja Megazord (the TV version). But anyway, in this action-packed film (with an actual budget and no Super Sentai footage to be found) Rita and Zedd release intergalactic super-villain Ivan Ooze (played by Paul Freeman of "Raiders of the Lost Ark"). Can the Rangers beat this new and dangerous threat? Well I don't like spoiling movies so you'll just have to watch it. It was great to see the same actors (minus the original Red, Black and Yellow Rangers) And it was just amazing to have a villain of great power who got rid of the two most popular Ranger villains in the first act of the film. While I love the movie, I just have a few problems, first: Ooze should've created a monster with Rita and Zedd (that's what they were known for creating/growing monsters) to attack the Rangers. They could've used the Thunderzords but have them destroyed in the process of the battle, along with their powers. This take was adapted into the season three 4-part opener "Ninja Quest" of the series, which has no continuity with this film as in the series, their powers come from Ninjor, not Dulcea as shown in the film. Second: for a quest to obtain the Great Power, it was pretty short. They get the ninja suits, go through a forest and fight a skeleton dinosaur and BOOM! They're at the temple! Third: where the heck are Baboo, Squatt and Finster? They get replaced and get no mention. Mordant is treated as if he's always been there since day one. And fourth: I hate the kid. I know this was a kids movie and they wanted someone for the kids to identify with but I have never been a real fan of kid actors in film (except the original Poseidon Adventure, Towering Inferno, Temple of Doom and Blues Brothers 2000 [but that took many viewings for me to even tolerate Buster.]) And how the heck does a kid his age know how to operate a monorail and a crane? Despite those few minor problems, I have no problem with this movie. Its pure entertainment that will keep the kids occupied for an hour and a half.』
(Reminded me of watching it as a kid!) 『If you grew up on watching the original power rangers, this is a good way to take a trip down memory lane and relive the fun. This movie shows the original power rangers turn into the ninja rangers. As long as you keep in mind that this movie was aimed for us as kids, you won't be disappointed! May be fun to intoduce to a new generation of ranger watchers.』 『They skydive, they kickbox, they travel through space. Is there anything these crayon-colored teens can't do? The answer seems a resounding "no," until some construction workers unwittingly open a manhole cover and loose Ivan Ooze upon Angel Grove. Although incarcerated in his egglike tomb for 6,000 years, Ooze gets rightto work at that world domination thing. First up: Strip those eager teens of their morphin uniforms and associated powers and send their leader Zordon to his crystalline deathbed. There's nothing to do but head for a distant planet to meet up with a bikini-clad warrior babe who imparts ancient wisdom and power. Meanwhile, Ooze has been turning parents into zombies who craft giant metallic insects--all the better to take over the world with. This 90-minute film features some cast changes from the Fox television series, as well as better special effects and extended fight scenes, which account for the PG rating. Parents must weigh in for themselves on the famous violent-influence-or-not question. Although, like anything else, what seemed violent in 1995 may seem a bit tame today. Usually ships in 24 hours Core2Duoノートレビュー 's review (More Dave Please and My Personal Track Sequence) 『Overall this is a great double CD and a good overview of Van Halen's music. I feel there are a few David Lee Roth ommissions like "I'm the One", "Ice Cream Man", "Somebody Get Me a Doctor", "Mean Streets" and "So This Is Love?" among a few other personal favorites. They could have replaced the new tracks and the live tracks with these songs. Why does "Finish What Ya Started" end before it's finished? It's not even a good edit. You can hear the next note being cut off after it started.
I don't understand the track sequencing for this CD though. It starts out with Eruption which is cool but then goes into 3 new songs that are good but I don't think will ever be considered hits. I don't think the track order has to be chronoligical but because this is already a double CD I wish they would have split the CD's into a 1978 - 1984 Dave CD and a 1986 - 2004 Sammy CD. After I downloaded the music in my computer I did my own personal track sequencing.
1. Hot For Teacher 2. Eruption 3. You Really Got Me 4. And the Cradle Will Rock 5. Everybody Wants Some!! 6. Unchained 7. Jamie's Cryin' 8. Panama 9. Dance the Night Away 10. Beautiful Girls 11. (Oh) Pretty Woman 12. Dancing In The Street 13. Ain't Talkin' 'Bout Love 14. Runnin' With the Devil 15. I'll Wait 16. Jump
1. Finish What Ya Started 2. Poundcake 3. Why Can't This Be Love 4. Feels So Good 5. Right Now 6. Best of Both Worlds 7. When It's Love 8. Black and Blue 9. Love Walks In 10. Top of the World 11. Dreams 12. Can't Stop Lovin' You 13. Runaround 14. Up For Breakfast 15. It's About Time 16. Learning to See 17. Not Enough
I didn't add the live tracks to my playlist but if I did I would put them at the very end. With this track order the songs flow into each other really well and you can hear what both singers bring to the party. 』
(Not Exactly The BEST Of Both Worlds...) 『My brother bought this collection yesterday, and since I already own 7 Van Halen albums and have heard most of the rest all the way through, I initially wasn't very excited. Last night I popped in Disc One to find myself immersed in the guitar virtuoso of Eddie Van Halen on the first track, Eruption, a solo I have heard a hundred times but can never get tired of. Next up, three new Sammy Hagar songs. I wasn't too keen on these being good, since I had already heard Up For Breakfast live, but they were decent for "Best Of" bonus tracks. It's About Time is my favorite of these, beginning with a mean, not entirely Van Halen heavy guitar riff which caught me off guard. This song is pure Van Hagar and became an instant favorite; wish I could say the same about the other two but they are only average and I was turned off by Up For Breakfast's cheesy lyrics. Learning To See isn't particulary inspired, but along with It's About Time, this song sees Van Halen moving into unexplored territory and pulling off a kickass hybrid sound. Overall, the first Hagar track is great, and the remaining two bring to mind something off of Chickenfoot's new album.
No need to go over a majority of the other songs here as we are all very familiar with them; surprisingly, I realized I hadn't heard Finish What Ya Started, and it too surprised me with its fresh uniqueness (although just like I had read, this track does cut off abruptly just before You Really Got Me). I'm not thrilled with the song arrangement on these two discs, and Disc Two is pretty inconsistent as far as the Roth/Hagar/Roth/Hagar order. I don't know why the three live songs from Right here, right now were tacked onto the end and although I can understand wanting to represent each of their albums, different songs (Hagar songs, by the way) would have fit better. Why use Roth-era tracks that already appear as studio versions earlier on? Another glaring inconsistency is the lack of any material from Van Halen III. I understand Van Halen purists in generally disliking VHIII, but I think it is a decent album except for the last three songs, and including their three singles from it (Without You, Fire In The Hole, One I Want) would have made perfect sense. VHIII doesn't even appear in the band's discography, and Gary Cherone is not directly mentioned in Van Halen's career-encompassing biography although a reference is made to the Cherone-era of the band that is said with derision. Disc One contains 19 tracks while Disc Two only tallies up with 17. Several other great hits that I expected to be here, such as (Don't Tell Me) What Love Can Do, Mean Street, 5150, Little Guitars, Judgement Day, Atomic Punk, In 'N' Out, etc. are nowhere to be found, and placing Strung Out before Not Enough is idiotic as a much more suitable instrumental could have been fit in like Cathedral or even Baluchitherium for crying out loud.
I think this collection falls short on many levels but for a newcomer to the Van Halen legend, this compilation works. It seems a lot like a cheap way of promoting yet another short-lived Van Halen reunion and hints to me of the infamous David Lee Roth incident of 1996, when the Van Halen brothers kept him around just long enough to record two new tracks for Best Of, Vol. 1 before giving him the boot. "Exit Roth, enter confusion" is a much more realistic take on things than what is presented in the CD insert, but these issues are petty and only detract from the album's quality on a personal level for me. The only other complaint I'm going to bring up is: wouldn't it have been cool to title this collection as "Van Halen Best of, Vol. 2 -The Best Of Both Worlds" for continuity? Nah, let's just forget about it! Most of the classics are here, so just sit back and enjoy the return of the MIGHTY Van Halen!

Let's hope the current Van Halen lineup really does come through with a great new album soon, and that the songs presented here always remain classics but only encompass relatively half of the band's career and not three quarters of it. I'm betting on all four of these guys living a long time, and they owe it to the world and themselves to get off of their laurels and rock for at least a few more decades to come! 』
(A good return) 『If you are a Van Halen purist, you don't like it. If you're not, it's a great album. Sammy adds a new dimension to the band: group effort (not a collection of solo efforts). Sammy fans will be pleased as well.』
(Terrible Compilation Of A Great Band) 『This compilation of Van Halen is just awful. Whoever put this together should be ashamed of themselves. All of the songs are randomly listed, no chronological order at all. The David Lee Roth era should have been disc one, the Hagar era, disc two. And both of them with songs in chronological order. Then the fact that they cut off "Finish What Ya Started" is really annoying. The three new songs are ok, not great, but could have been done without. There are so many flaws in this collection and I wish they could get it right. I wouldn't recommend this compilation, unless you feel you must have everything Van Halen, good or bad.』
(The Best of Both Worlds) 『This completes any Sammy collection and gives you David Lee Roth to boot. A must for any rocker, Red, Blonde or whatever!!!!!』 『One shouldn't have too much difficulty imagining a two-disc Van Halen compilation entitledThe Best of Both Worlds. The first disc will showcase the David Lee Roth-fronted version of the band that reenergized hard rock with its titanic 1978 debut and peaked commercially with 1984's, uh,1984. Disc two will take up where David Lee was left off--from 1986 on, when Sammy Hagar (and, briefly, Hagar-sound-alike Gary Cherone) took over the mike. Well, unfortunately, that's not the anthology assembled this time out. Rather than sequence the selections chronologically and, in the process, display the band's evolution (or devolution, depending on where one stands in the great Roth/Hagar debate), the band has opted for a more eccentric sequencing strategy. After the opener "Eruption" confirms the sass and chops of the young VH, three fairly uninspired new tracks featuring a back-in-the-fold (for now?) Hagar interrupt the flow. Unfortunately, the flow never really recovers, as Roth and Hagar tracks leapfrog one another through the next 29 selections. Three live Hagar takes on songs from the Roth era finish things off in confusing fashion. Obviously, there's plenty of powerful music here, but do fans really need a lesson in what happens when worlds collide? And didn't David Lee earn at least one photo in the package?--Steven Stolder』 『Van Halen rocketed to stardom with their raucous, 10X-platinum-plus 1978 self-titled album, one of the greatest debuts ever. Anchored by Eddie Van Halen's guitar wizardry and David Lee Roth's vocal showmanship, the band's dynamic sound reinvented hard rock. A run of multiplatinum Top 10 discs followed, peaking with 1984, another 10X-platinum blockbuster and Roth's swan song. Sammy Hagar replaced the vocalist, a transition that cost the band no momentum. The Red Rocker's VH debut, 1986's 5150 , hit #1 on The Billboard 200, as did 1988's OU812. The Grammy-winning 1991 release, For Unlawful Carnal Knowledge, reached #5. This new compilation spotlights Van Halen's always-stellar musicianship over the course of 25 years and two world-class frontmen, and continues the story with three brand new Hagar-fronted tracks!』

Core2Duoノートレビュー 's review (A respectful and inside look at the original Giant) 『I was an old-school wrestling fan, growing up watching the old Gran Prix promotion shows in the early 70's, and Andre, then known as Jean Ferre, was one of the top attractions, battling the likes of Killer Kowalski, Prof. Tanaka, Don Leo Jonathan and the like.
Andre indeed was the biggest star of his generation, and not just physically. He was listed as highest paid for many years in the Guinness Book of World Records.
The A&E Biography did an exceptional job of researching Andre's life and times, with plenty of footage of his hometown, Molien, France, and interviews with his brother and close friends.
The recollections of former wrestlers such as Rene Goulet and Fred Blassie (who later managed a young Hulk Hogan) also lend a good deal to Andre, the person as well as the wrestler.
I especially liked seeing the old footage of Andre, and the show also tracked his decline from the affliction he faced. He handled it apparently with grace and without complaint.
How does a 7-4, 500 pound man get about? Not easy. The things we take for granted were hard for him, such as getting on a plane, getting a hotel room, etc. The loneliness of being on the road so much also weighed on Andre, as noted.
The best part of it all were the comments and insights delivered by Andre's closest friend and ranch manager. He give an honest and heartfelt confirmation that what Andre appeared to be was for real.
Andre was in sum a great performer, a hero to a lot of people, and this story tells it well.』
(Nicely done.) 『This 45-minute biography of Andre The Giant that was shown on the A&E television channel is probably one of the best sources of information you'll ever find on one of the men who helped put the sport of professional wrestling on the map. The video is loaded with plenty of biographical information ranging from Andre's birth date&place to names of family members and close friends. This biography is like a timeline of his life. However, the majority of it concentrates on Andre's profession...WRESTLING. It covers all the highlights of his career...including championship matches and disabling injuries requiring surgery. The video also delves into Andre's personal life...even unveiling the existence of a daughter that Andre never spoke of. There are interviews with several people who were around and close to Andre often including Andre's brother Jacques, WWF owner Vince McMahon, WWF friend Arnold Skaland, WWF retiree"Classy"Freddie Blassie, WWF referee Tim White, and many more. This biography is definitely something that fans of wrestling today (2004) should see. It really takes you back to a time when wrestling was worth watching.』
(Very good Bio of a gentle giant) 『This is from the Biography Channel. It is a 45 minute tape of the life of Andre the Giant. For those of us that loved wrestling for many years there will only be one giant and that is Andre. Very well done documentary.』
(Andre the Giant Larger than life) 『Andre the Giant Larger than Life isn't a wrestling tape, it's a documentary that was that originally shown on A&E. So if you are looking for a wrestling tape this one isn't for you as there are no matches or even reasonably long clips of matches on this tape. It is also only 45 minutes long. The tape is mainly interviews from Andre's friends such as Tim White (wwf ref) and Andre's brother. The narrator was a poor selection (obviously not a wrestling fan)for he had a slightly condescending and patronizing tone that I'm sure most of you are as sick of as I am from non-wrestling fans when they discuss sports-entertainment.』
(A big man) 『Overall, WWF - Andre the Giant: Larger Than Life is a great tape. It brings back memories if you are an old school wrestling fan, and is something that the new wave fans must see as well.』
Core2Duoノートレビュー 's review (I WILL REVIEW AGAIN ON GREAT AMERICAN BASH 2005 SOON ABOUT....) 『We know in WWE always there is a different thing between all of the superstars example JBL and The Undertaker. JBL is always screwed that man that he faces. But The Undertaker is often be screwed. The most screwed/cheated men in WWE are Triple H ( better than 50 matches that me he gets the help to win since 1995), JBL, Brock Lesnar( I tink if the man wins by using the rope or by low blow that is not a screwed the screwed is like a man helped the other man to win from the other man for example John Cena defeated The Undertaker with the help from the FBI who hit the chair on Undertaker in Smackdown 2003, Brock Lesnar not too often cheat only when he faces Hogan, The Rock, The Undertaker No Mercy 2003, Rikishi Smackdown 2002, that's all and I think there is more but i am forgetting them), and still many others like Yokozuna, Steve Austin. The WWE also makes the different thing on WWE like Austin in 1996-1997 isn't a kind wrestler, the end of 1997-2000 he is a kind wrestler, the end of 2000-2001 he isn't the kind wrestler, the end of 2001- 2005 he is a kind wrestler. On 1998 Austin always wins the match but sometimes he was screwed, on 2001 he always screwed everyman that he face as Triple H or JBL. The Undertaker in 1990-1991 isn't a kind wrestler as he defeated Hulk Hogan when Ric Flair screwed Hogan. In 1992-1997 he is a kind wrestler but sometimes he gets the help from Paul Bearer as he defeated Giant Gonzales at Summerslam 1993, with the help from Bret Hart defeated Sid Vicious, but in 1998- 1999 he is an evil wrestler as he defeated Steve Austin by working together with Kane at Breakdown 1998, defeated Kane in Survivor Series when Bearer held Kane's foot, defeated Steve Austin with the help from Shane, defeated The Rock with the help from Triple H. On 2000, sometimes Undertaker cheated as Undertaker defeated Road Dogg&X-Pac when Road Dogg went away from X- Pac but he is too many be cheated as vs Rikishi, Triple H, Kurt Angle, and many others. On 2001-2003, Undertaker was too many be screwed especially 2001, On 2004-2005 Undertaker back on his old school with the evil charcter but not like screwed. I have the all of Raw Series from After Armageddon 1999- Vengeance 2004 by tapping every Raw's series, also Smackdown I have from 2 weeks before No Mercy 2002 until after Great American Bash 2004, after Smackdown I don't tape again beacuase I prefer seeing at the ring to watching on TV, but Raw is on Monday I must study for my test because every Tuesday there is a Mathematics test it is so difficult. I will review it again all about the undertaker's career when he cheated and when he was screwed because I am undertaker's fan HA....HA...Ha』
(WWF Over the Edge IYH 22 '98) 『Great over all great show!
The first match LOD 2000 vs DOA the whole match was boring excpt the end the match was OK with a lot of interference by Droz and Chainz. 3 out of 5 overall.
Mask vs mask Kane Vs Vader It obvously wasent Vader time I mean any fat piece of Crap is gonna get kicked around by Kane!!! 4 out of 5 only because of kanes preformanec!
Handycaped match Taka Michinoku and Bradshaw vs Kaientia Good match a lot of athletisism by both teams 3 out of 5
Sable attempts to win back her freedom from the marvlous one marc mero slick Mero had a trick up his sleve it was not a match but the story lines were decent
D-X vs the Nation funny up come to the match a great match Owen ruled the ring contriversial ending but the right team won 4
Ic title match Faarooq vs the greatest wrestler the IC Champ The Rock great lead up to the match with all of the piledrivers Rock sold the neak injury well face it faarooq is a horrible wrestler but a solid preformance 4
Steve Austin vs Dude Love WWF Championship no dq falls count anywhere no count outs McMahon special ref and brisco and Patterso doing Vinnys bidding a bloody mess of a match can Austin keep the Title 10 outta 5 seacond most brutal match ever』
(Undercard was nothing, but the main event was something!) 『The main event was Dude Love vs. Stone Cold and it was great. It made main events what they are today. I recomend this tape for the match ALONE!』
(Great main event, solid show.) 『This is the show that continues the McMahon/Austin feud, and has a pretty famous main event. Onward and in no particular order.
L.O.D. 2000 vs. D.O.A. - Mmmm. Thin Sunny. Drool. Bad match. L.O.D. lost it long ago and D.O.A. never had it. *
Farooq "injures" The Rock. Rock won't be able to compete tonight. Hah.
TAKA/Bradshaw vs. Kaientai - Taka was over at this point and feuding with former friends Kaientai. Bradshaw wasn't really doing anything at this point so he joined in. The story is Kaientai matches blow for blow with Taka but runs every time Bradshaw gets in. It's pretty funny and makes for a good match when Taka matches up with the very talented Kaientai. ***
Marc Mero makes his wife a bigger star than he was by turning on her.
Vader vs. Kane (Mask vs. Mask) Vader had been unmasked several times and Kane was in the midst of a big run. You figure it out. *1/2
IC Title - Rock vs. Farooq - Former NOD leader Farooq challenges up-and-comer Rocky Maivia. Rock is ordered to come out and defend the title or lose it. The Nation interferes. **1/2 for the whole storyline.
D-X vs. N.O.D. - Triple H was transitioning from a feud with Owen to a feud with the Rock. D-X repeatedly made fun of the Nation and this match is pretty good. Owen ruled the world and everyone else tried to keep up. ***
WWF Title - Austin vs. Dude Love - Dude had sold out to McMahon long ago. Vince is the ref, Pat Patterson the ring announcer, and Gerald Brisco the timekeeper. Undertaker is at ringside to counter any shenanigans. The storyline here is that Dude keeps cheating to gain an advantage because he can't win a fair fight, so McMahon keeps changing the rules of the match. Brisco and Patterson get theirs and so does McMahon. ****3/4. This is a perfect example of ECW-style overbooking creating a great match instead of overshadowing it.
In the End: Solid PPV with a great main event. Get it for the main event alone and get everything from Wrestlemania 14 to Summerslam 1998 to get an idea of the atmosphere and storytelling of the time. Recommended.』
(Under Rated Event) 『Over the Edge 98 was a show I enjoyed very much. I'm going to talk about the under card because no one else seemed to. The first match between LOD 2000 and DOA was terrible, and BY FAR the worst match on the card. Jeff Jarrett v. Steve Blackman was a good match, it's been a 5 star classic but still it was well done. Marc Mero v. Sable wasn't really a match but what Mero did to Sable, hehehehe I still find hilarious today. Kaientai v. Bradshaw/TAKA was excellent. Taka and Kaientai work great together and not even"Black Jack"Bradshaw could ruin it. Also watch out for the NASTY tiger suplex executed by Bradshaw OUCH!! The Rock v. Faarooq was a good bit of story telling and the Rock's selling of the neck is hilarious, but the match is nothing special. Kane v. Vader was better than I expected but still a pretty middling match. Also be on the look out for Vader's interview after the match. No one makes me laugh like he does when he's on the mike; he really really REALLY needs to work on his mike skills."I'm just so....BIG!!"Man that cracks me up, the statements later are also hilarious but not appropriate for this review. The six-man tag between HHH, Roaddog, and Billy Gunn v. Owen Hart, Kama D-Lo Brow was also a very good match. It's an excellent match when Owen's in the ring. Steve Austin v. Dude Love was wonderful. The stooges and Vince are also priceless in this match. WONDERFUL main event. I have to say FOLEY IS GOD, just watch him bump in this one. Austin also puts on a great performance and takes a couple of sick bumps as well. The crowd is so into this match at times it's SCARY, I mean they throw stuff at Vince and the stooges, and the roof practically blows off the place when Austin appears. Over The Edge 98 was a great In Your House and really a tape you can't go wrong with. I would strongly advise adding this video to your collection.』 『FEDERATION CHAMPIONSHIP: Stone Cold Steve Austin vs. Dude Love; Special Referee: Mr. McMahon; Special Timekeeper: Mr. Brisco; Special Ring Announcer: Mr. Patterson. For those of you who don't know what a splitter does, it basically splits one phone jack into two so instead of just plugging one phone, you get to plug in two! Or maybe a phone and a fax machine, a phone and a computer modem or a phone and a Sega Dreamcast! the possibilities are endless!
The release button feels a little cheap, it will probably break if you mess with it too much, but why would you? Other than that, everything is fine.
Just in case you were wondering, I use it to plug in the phone on one side and the DVR on the other, yeah I want to see who's calling me on the TV screen, that's all!
』
(Y Adapter Does the Trick and It's White) 『First, the technical: This is a Y or T device. It connects 4 pins (red, green, black, yellow) to two sets of 4 pins (the standard 4 center pins of a 6-pin RJ11 jack). Thus, you can use this for two-lines. It is NOT a splitter. There are other products which will split the 4 wires of the plug into two separate, 2-line sockets, typically marked L1 and L2. This is NOT one of those. Both devices plugged into it will get the SAME 4 wires (2-lines).
Next, the construction: It is a quite cheap, made-in-China product. It feels cheap and has some bits of corrosion on the (brass plated-looking) contacts. Not impressive. It compares to others at local electronics stores that sell for 99 cents. The ones at local stores were, for me, beige. I have white outlets, white jacks, white phones, etc., and I didn't want a goofy beige adapter. So, I bought a few of thes GE ones from Amazon which are WHITE.
Finally, the rating. Considering the cheap construction and price premium for a different color, I cannot give it 5 stars.』

(Big disappointment) 『I have a flat-screen TV with four ancillary devices: a cable box, Blu-Ray DVD player, A/V unit and subwoofer. Plugged the TV in as the control unit, to turn off everything else when it is turned off, plugged the other units into the controlled sockets.
First thing I learned is that you shouldn't turn off the cable box, because it takes 10 minutes to reboot after being deactivated. So I plugged the cable box into an always-on socket and let the TV control the DVD player, A/V unit and subwoofer. It turns off the DVD player but not the A/V unit (and thus not the subwoofer, which is controlled by the A/V unit). Adjusted the sensitivity control to its limit and it still won't work. I suppose I could tweak things for half an hour, but this is supposed to be plug-and-play. Oh, and the TV unit actually _never_ turns completely off no matter what you do; there's always a blue ready-to-power-up light glowing.
It's going back to Amazon. I suppose if I used this thing for 30 years, I might break even on the tiny amount of power actually saved. Another example of eco-greenie marketing promoting something that in fact doesn't do much.

I remember the emotion that came over me listening to the music two years ago while watching the tele, and me literally taken over by their music. The girls sing with all their heart and they are very talented. Songs that particularly struck a chord with me are 'New Grange', 'Granuailes Dance', 'Dulamann', 'Carrickfergus' and 'The Voice'.
I have only a sliver of Ulster-Scot ancestry in me but this album was all that it took to bring it out in a mighty roar or just the soul of someone who knows good music when he hears it.
If you cherish Irish culture as I do and appreciate songs of passion, feet that move to a tune (Mairead the Fiddler could easily be African American with her ability to dance, uninhibited), and the sound of a symphony in perfect rhythm then Celtic Woman is A MUST!

("Orinoco Flow" on PBS, but not DVD.) 『The PBS special, that I originally saw this concert on, had "Orinoco Flow" as the 4th track, but it's not here. More than that, the disc pauses in the place where the chapter should be. Unlike the other reviewer, when I ordered the DVD the track list had been updated and did not include "Orinoco Flow"; however, I didn't notice. I just assumed this DVD had the full concert. Needless to say I was very disappointed.
This is the only reason I'm giving 4 stars. Otherwise it's a solid 5.
One odd thing I noticed is the DVD itself and its sleeve shows a copyright year of 2009! The concert was performed in 2006 with the DVD released in 2007. I don't know if this means it's simply been reissued (as with alot of DVDs) or if there's an older disc out there with the track on it.
UPDATE: I said the track list had been updated and "Orinoco Flow" was not included but as it turns out there are two listings for this DVD. One has the correct info and the other does not.』
(Celtic Women: A New Journey) 『Extraordinary. The Celtic Women at their best. This will be an excellent reminder for those of you who have seen their show in Toronto few years ago. The decor is almost the same despite the fact that, in Slane Castle, the show takes place outside in what seems to be a beautiful night. I particularly enjoyed Mairead, the fiddle female Elf for whom gravity is just a word or so it seems. She is so light, so fairy like.
Off course, the rest of the troop, singers and musicians, is great too. Without them, the show wouldn't be what it is, Excellent.
One can never go wrong when buying their music in whichever form. But, seeing them, is such a delight.

(Great Video and Great Music) 『This is a wonderful DVD of the Celtic Woman group. These ladies can sing like angels and the backdrop of Slane Castle is great. The orchestra, percussions, and backup singers blend with these wonderful singers to make a once-in-a-lifetime performance an everyday event with this DVD. (Lovely voices!) 『I bought this as a gift for a girl friend with an Irish heritage. She loves it.』 『Celtic Woman, the PBS sensation, returns for 2007 inA New Journey: Live at Slane Castle, Ireland. Most of the elements return as well: vocalists Chloe, Meav, Lisa, and Orla; fiery fiddler Mairead; music director David Downes; chorus and orchestra; and the New Age-y Celtic and traditional music. New for this show is New Zealand vocalist Hayley Westenra, a picturesque outdoor location, and an almost entirely new song list. Chloe sings "The Prayer" (made famous by Josh Groban) and "Panis Angelicus"; Lisa covers "Caledonia," "The Blessing," and "The Voice"; Orla sings "Newgrange" and accompanies herself on harp for "Carrickfergus"; Meav sings "Dulaman"; Mairead plays "Granuaile's Dance" and "Shenandoah: The Pacific Slope"; and Hayley sings "Scarborough Fair" by herself and duets with Mairead (Handel's "Lascia Ch'io Pianga") and Meav ("The Last Rose of Summer"). Then of course the group performs together ("The Sky and the Dawn and the Sun," "Over the Rainbow," "Beyond the Sea," "At the Ceili," "Sing Out!", "Spanish Lady," "Mo Ghile Mear"). Encore performances from the original show are Enya's "Orinoco Flow," "Danny Boy," "Somewhere," and "You Raise Me Up." Hayley proves to be an excellent fit among the beautiful voices, and Lisa seems to emerge as the talent most deserving of attention, but overall the show lacks some of the fresh sparkle of the original. The song list isn't quite as strong, and some of the "primp and pose" choreography is just silly. She plays the boss from hell so perfectly that there is sympathy for Miranda when she has her little "heart to heart" near the end. Anne Hathaway proves she can do more than Disney films, convincingly leaving that part of her behind and stepping into a more mature role. She plays Andrea very well and she doesn't seem intimidated by Streep at all. Her portrayal as a girl who is naive about the world of fashion but gets sucked into the world of success and begins to lose everything around her is very well done. Stanley Tucci and Emily Blunt are also excellent supporting players in this, Blunt very handily playing the snob and Tucci as the helpful yet sarcastic fashion designer/consultant, whatever. The songs used in the film are superfluous and I wish they didn't have them. They're just really annoying. Well that's all I got on this one.』
("The Devil Wears Prada") 『I loved this movie! I usually choose movies by the actors/actresses that I love. Meryl Streep is one of my favorites. She does a wonderful job in this film and I am sure that she is far from this type of person in her real life. Her acting was incredible! What caught my attention the most was the struggle that Andy had while deciding if it was worth her keeping a position that she really didn't want but did keep it in hopes that she would eventually get her dream job. She went above and beyond to try to please this woman she worked for. I was kind of surprised that Andy's boyfriend eventually left her because he could not deal with her being married to her job. I don't think there are many men out there that are happy with an ordinary woman. I haven't come across too many! I thought he would have stayed by her side, understanding all along that she was just trying to reach her own goals. I know this is Hollywood but in many ways I could relate to Andy and the life decisions she was making, while playing this part, as I too have worked for a few Amanda Priestly's and could have climbed the ladder of success but instead I chose not to live an artificial role...playing a part in life just to have "a better life". By the way, I like her last name PRIEST...ly! I took a moment to look up the word "Prada" because I really didn't know what it meant or stood for. I'd have to sell my soul to be able to afford this line of clothing. I'd have to say the Priestly name fits! I will watch this again 』
(I quit! hahahahahaha) 『Andraya, freshly graduated from college.who is trying to get ahead by taking a job as an assistant to an editor for a fashoin mag called Runway. She likes the job, likes the free clothes and purses and the famous people she meets. But Her boss,Miranda is a total lunatic. She is leaves her crap all over everybodies desks and expects people to get her flights during hurricanes. She times people with an egg timer, and an empoylee gets runover ,while buying her scarfs at Hermes. Miranda never screams, she is totally beneath screaming Miranda plays these pyschological mindgames with her employees, and constantly threatens to fire people, but never does.Because Miranda's office is a revolving door and she can't keep people there. Andy is scared at first, but then realizes that if she can deal with it for a year, she can get her dream job as a journalist. Also her sarcastic friend Nigel, who is Miranda's only long-time Employee try to helps her succeed at her Job. The cast is all fab. Stanly Tucci from Julie and Julia and Simon Baker from the mentalist are both fabulous. Also the clothes are great. Like better than Sex and the city Great. My favorite was the green dress Anne had at the end and her bomber jacket. The only thing I didn't like when when it got all preachy at the end. Also Meryl did a great job.She has grey hair and doesn't sound like herself. Her voice is much deeper and flat like a man's shoe. She also plays this with such care, which is why so many people went to see and liked it.
My worse boss story I used to have a boss that came to work loaded and stoned EVERYDAY.He was paranoid that someone was trying to steal his company off him and that his employees were ratting him out to his competitors,so he cut our pay to minimum wage, took away our sick days bonuses, ect.&bought digital cameras to put in each cubicle. He would watch the videos with his buddies while he was partying and write up the wrong people.I got writ up three times on days I was off! It took me two hours to iron that out with human resources. Then next day I am told our insurance forms were stolen. At that point me and two other people put their notices in.』
(Movie About A Hidden Side of Fashion, An Ugly One!) 『A young women comes to New York searching a job as a journalist. She gets hired in a fashion magazine, which has a very tough work environment with a very tough president. The young women tries hard at first to resist this new culture she got in, however eventually she gets overwhelmed by it and loses many of its personal values and relationships. She experiences an internal struggle on whether she should keep sacrificing her life for her job, or the other way around.
I am not into fashion myself, but I thought this movie depicts a challenge that everyone can relate to. It depicts the struggle between individuality and society, in which society is usually the stronger one and overcomes individuality. 』
(What price success?) 『The young journalist Andy gets a job as an assistant to a fashion dictator and starts to learn about fashion and how to get ahead in the world of New York. Anne Hathaway is beautiful in her before and after roles, but fashion is a very strange mix of art and snobbery that travels better among the rich of the east than the poor of the west. People always feel that they have to dress the role of their current movement, so changes in dress follow the change in times. Taste is another matter and probably can't be dictated by plastic goddesses? The Quaker plain clothes and plain speaking for me. I liked Hathaway, but despised this movie.』 『This clever, funny big-screen adaptation of Lauren Weisberger's best-seller takes some of the snarky bite out of the chick lit book, but smoothes out the characters' boxy edges to make a more satisfying movie. There's no doubtThe Devil Wears Pradabelongs to Meryl Streep, who turns in an Oscar-worthy (seriously!) strut as the monster editor-in-chief ofRunway,an elite fashion magazine full of size-0, impossibly well-dressed plebes. This makes new second-assistant Andrea (Anne Hathaway), who's smart but an unacceptable size 6, stick out like a sore thumb. Streep has a ball sending her new slave on any whimsical errand, whether it's finding the seventh (unpublished) Harry Potter book or knowing what type she means when she wants "skirts." Though Andrea thumbs her nose at the shallow world of fashion (she's only doing the job to open doors to a position atThe New Yorkersomeday), she finds herself dually disgusted yet seduced by the perks of the fast life. The film sends a basic message: Make work your priority, and you'll be rich and powerful... and lonely. Any other actress would have turned Miranda into a scenery-chewing Cruella, but Streep's underplayed, brilliant comic timing make her a fascinating, unapologetic character. Adding frills to the movie's fun are Stanley Tucci as Streep's second-in-command, Emily Blunt (My Summer of Love) as the overworked first assistant, Simon Baker as a sexy writer, and breathtaking couture designs any reader ofVoguewould salivate over. --Ellen A. I don't remember ever watching it. I wasn't sure what to expect. I think the acting of Jan-Michael Vincent and Ali MacGraw are cheesy to say the least. Especially MacGraw. Robert Mitchum does a good job. The show on a whole is ok. It is long. So expect several nights of watching. I also bought War and Remembrance. I'm glad Ali MacGraw will not be in that one, I don't think I could have taken much more of her acting "or lack of".』
(Winds of War) 『So far, it is excellent - have not yet looked at all of the DVDs Will buy War and Remembrance aftwer the price comes down to a lower level』
(It is exactly what my parents wanted!!!!!!!!) 『My parents had been looking for this series for quite some time. I found it on your site and they were thrilled when I gave it to them. Thanks for making my parents very HAPPY!!!!!!!!!!!!!』
(historical fiction) 『Winds of War is based on Herman Wouk's novel with the same name. It covers the time leading up to the beginning of WWII. It seems to be historically accurate and includes facts about Germany and Hitler that aren't readily known. The actors fit their parts, especially Polly Bergen and Robert Mitchum. We have thoroughly enjoyed this mini series and will watch it again and again.』
(Happily found old favorite) 『I lost my copy of The Winds of War in a flood. I was so happy to find this set and in such pristine condition.』 『An engrossing, 1983 television miniseries based on a bestselling work of historical fiction by Herman Wouk,The Winds of Waris an admirable production reminiscent of the era of Hollywood's epic features. At the center of the globe-trotting story is the Henry family, whose laconic but straight-shooting patriarch is United States Navy Commander Victor "Pug" Henry (Robert Mitchum), sent to Hitler's Berlin in the spring of 1939 as a naval attaché to the then-neutral American embassy. A keen observer, Pug deduces that Germany is not preparing for war on two fronts (western Europe on one side, Russia on the other) despite what the Nazis want the world to believe, meaning that Hitler must be working out a secret peace deal with Stalin. Pug'sprescience makes him a favorite eyewitness in Berlin for Franklin D. Roosevelt (Ralph Bellamy); the irony is that Pug is far less sagacious when it comes to the realities of his family.
Polly Bergen plays unhappy wife Rhoda, who turns to A-bomb developer Palmer Kirby (Peter Graves) for comfort. Pug's 19-year-old daughter, Madeline (Lisa Eilbacher), defies her iron-willed dad's decision that she stay in school by taking a job for CBS radio in New York. Compliant son Warren (Ben Murphy) can't seem to get Pug's attention despite doing everything right (including becoming a Navy pilot, eventually present at the bombing of Pearl Harbor). By contrast, Pug spends more time fuming over black sheep son Byron (Jan-Michael Vincent), who is working in increasingly Fascist Italy as an assistant to an art historian (John Houseman) while trying hard to woo the latter's exasperating niece, Natalie (Ali MacGraw). The story of Byron and Natalie takes up much ofThe Winds of Waras the pair traverse Poland during the shock of Hitler's 1939 assault, and Jewish Natalie later finds herself trapped inside Italy facing the threat of concentration camps. BeforeThe Winds of Warends, each of these characters will end up in places and situations, and with historical figures (Churchill, Mussolini) as well as ordinary people, they would not have anticipated outside the pressures of war. The program's length and smart script allow for a lot of ideas and background detail that pull a viewer in--happily.--Tom Keogh』

It is not for one person, but if there is another person to help, this massager is extremely helpful on shoulders, back, even hips. We use it very often--about 2-3 times every week, I think it worth the money if it can last more than one year.』
(A good sort of pain) 『I have used other massagers from this brand, so I was nervous to switch to yet another new version. Fortunately, this unit made improvements over my prior massagers. The percussion massagers glide smoothly, the speed adjustment is useful, and unit has good heft. In fact, it could be a little too heavy for some users. The foam grip handle, while useful, also appears likely to be the first point to wear out on the unit.
Overall, the unit does a nice job of working through the soreness in my back. So, this inexpensive unit earns a five star rating. 』

(Love it) 『Have been using this for over a month and I love it. I used to have a Sonicare and this is much lighter and more toothbrush-like.』
(Squeaky clean teeth) 『I've been using this toothbrush for about a month now. It works amazingly well, cleaning my teeth extremely well. My previous toothbrush was a first generation Sonicare toothbrush, which was a good brush in it's own right. But this one performs much better and is easier to handle. I've noticed some reviews claiming this is not a powerful brush. I don't know what they're talking about. I apply a moderate amount of pressure, and have never found the brush to get bogged down. Must be people who work for Sonicare. Don't hesitate to purchase this brush. But shop around for replacement heads. I found there is quite a price variance, although they are less than Sonicare replacements, at any rate.
One note, my wife has sensitive teeth, and found her Sonicare to be too much. However, this Pulsonic has two speeds, and she has found the slower speed to be perfect for her.
Pros- cleans great light weight maneuverable reasonable price
Cons- None so far 』
(Makes teeth sensitive. Use a good manual toothbrush.) 『I bought a 2 pack of Braun electric brushes for me and my wife. After using it for a month I returned it. I usually do not return any item, least a personal item. But within 3 weeks I noticed that my teeth were more sensitive to cold water, etc. I did not want to use or pay for something that actually ruined my teeth. Looks like these brushes erode the enamel. Once eroded the enamel does not build back. Though I used these brushed around 1 year back, my teeth are still sensitive ever since I used them. The 2nd brush was for my wife and she had exactly the same experience as me.
So I would advise you people out there. Keep it manual. More technology is not always good.』
(My first Sonic toothbrush.) 『I have used electric toothbrush for many years, but this is the first sonic toothbrush I have used. I'm pleasantly surprised by how it cleans hard to reach spots, also how clean my teeth felt after the first brushing. Gentle enough on gums to use 3 times day. I have been using the toothbrush several days now and my teeth are noticeably whiter. Cleans up easily after use without having gaps/spaces to cause unsanitary build-up. I love this toothbrush and recommend it to everyone. 』 『Sonic Technology In Our Slimmest Form | Designed To Provide A Quiet, Gentle and Thorough』
Core2Duoノートレビュー 's review (Chia Seeds) 『I bought these after reading that Chia Seeds can aid in endurance runs and are generally good for your health. I would order from this company again. They had great packaging and even sent some samples of other products. The Chia Seeds were just what I expected and I now have some a few times a day.』
(Great Price and Product? Best Survival and Diet Food Ever?) 『The chia seed is probably one of the most versatile, nutrition-packed, economical diet foods available. There are virtually no side effects - all of the good and none of the bad. You can make chia gel to store in your refrigerator and eat alone or mixed with yogurt or other food. The chia seeds will keep you from feeling hungry and provide an excellent source of hydration and sustained energy. You can also add chia seeds to salad dressing or sprinkle them on foods. Chia seed gel is tasteless so it can be used as a fat substitute for baking as well. Chia seeds can also be added to fruit smoothies as a high fiber, low-carb source of protein and good fat. Wouldn't it also make sense to keep a package of chia seeds in your car (well-wrapped of course) along with water in the event that you were stranded? Unlike flax seeds, chia seeds should not go rancid if kept dry. Chia seeds as compared with flax seed contain more nutrients and have no offensive taste or odor. Raw Food World offers a very good value for purchasing in small and medium quantities. The double-wrap packaging is excellent and re-usable, the chia seeds are food-grade clean and fresh, and delivery is very prompt. Check out the Aztec history of chia seeds. A great addition to your "good fat" or "nut and seed" diet!』
(chia seed) 『Fine product. Arrived quickly.Cheaper to buy three two pound bags because of free shipping from amazons warehouse than to buy from retailer.』
(Nutritious and Fresh) 『Very fresh, high-quality chia seeds sent speedily from the seller. Super-nutritious and especially good for runners and other athletes. Or you can use them on your Chia Pet!』
(using chia) 『first heard about chia from that "Born to Run" book by Christopher MacDougall (which is an AMAZING mind-blowing book) and I bought into the idea of an energizing superfood. I don't expect to turn into one of the ultramarthon running tarahumara indians, but some boost in my day wouldn't hurt. As a broke college student, any food providing healthy nutrition AND energy is a godsend. I also dehydrate easily in winter, so the water retaining properties of chia also interested me. So far as I've read, heating up chia seeds is not recommended, it affects the chia seeds' ability to retain water at the amazing rate they do. In the book, macdougall mentioned mixing the chia seeds with water and lime juice. So I tried it out in a water bottle, apparently shaking up the gel before it solidifies leaves the substance more liquid-y than gel-like, which is obviously easier to drink out of a bottle, so that didn't bother me. If you want the thick gel so many people recommend, let the chia sit still in the water. The seeds did not compeltely dissolve, so they did look a bit like frog's eggs, but the mixture (2 tbsp chia, the recommended daily amount, with 9 equal parts water, which is about 1 cup plus 2 tbsp, and half a lime squeezed in) tastes just fine. Drinking this chia mix was even surprisingly filling, I don't have a lot of time to eat or even find food that isn't beef, beer, pizza or cheese related, so this held me off until I could get home and eat real food. As for non-red bull related energy sources, Chia has been great.』 『The Chia Seed is an amazing food. For centuries many have used the seeds for a host of different reasons. Native Americans would take a pouch of seeds and a gourd of water on their trips. The seeds were their food source and taken with the water they would hydrate their bodies for endurance. When you hydrate the seeds in water the seeds shell opens up and absorbs up to nine times its volume in water. This then forms a gel, which is called Chia Seed Gel. The gel helps keep your body hydrated. The gel is also 90% soluble fiber, which is beneficial for your digestive track. People use the seeds when they are involved in sports or physical activities for endurance.』

We needed to get online and keep in touch with our family back home so we decided to buy a net book instead of a full sized laptop. We love this netbook. Just returned from a 10 day trip and used it every day. very light weight. Easy to use. Easy to set up and get online. Battery lasted several days without charging with light use. Beats our old laptop which has to be charged frequently and weighs a lot. Attractive exterior that is a step above some of the other net books we looked at, the metal keyboard is nice. We are very happy with our purchase.』
(HUGE battery life!!) 『What a great little laptop for travel. I bought it to download pictures on while on a diving trip where a power source was "iffy" and only had to do a battery boost once. Perfect for what I needed, and a good quality screen for viewing pics as well.』
(Great Mini) 『Got this Mini for travel and it has worked out perfectly. Light and easy to carry. Great battery life (6 cell) I used it for over 6 hours and still had more. Up graded to 2g memory and multitasks just fine. $50 bucks less on Amazon than anywhere else I looked.』
(Great Mini) 『Love my Toshiba Mini. No problems with WiFi setup as it is now configured to be on when shipped. I set up my home network without the Toshiba easy setup tool. Battery life is at least what is advertised. Power settings are easy to use to keep the screen bright. Two things I do not like are the shiny exterior (black) which is a fingerprint magnet and the shiny screen. (whoever thought that was a good idea?) It really helped my decision to read all of the other reviews. Keyboard is nice and I do not make the typing errors that I found in testing the other netbooks on the market. I bought the Samsung DVD/CD and find it small and works well. Read the documentation, it is all there.』
(great design, good performance) 『the first netbook I received was making a terrible, extremely disturbing shrill. Amazon replaced it and the new one is so far so good. The keyboard feels very high quality but it`s a little bit on the small side especially for people like me with larger hands. The tab key which I like to use heavily on spreadsheets is very tiny, its like half of other keys. Other than this, Toshiba mini really looks wonderful, it is eyetaking. Usually ships in 24 hours Core2Duoノートレビュー 's review (Fits the bill and solid as a rock) 『I should wait a bit longer before posting a review, but I have to say that thus far this Asus Eee has been awesome. Mine has the Win XP Home it, and I've not had any problems from Windows Update, drivers, USB devices or anything. Great little machine. I use it pretty much just for Gmail, Gapps, and Internet.
Only one complaint and that is even after following very carefully the initial charging procedures for the battery I don't get any 10.5 hours of active use out of it. It's more like 8 hours. I'd consider that to be pretty damn good though, and I'd never sit down and use for 8 hours non-stop anyhow.』
(Power Supply?) 『The first one I bought stopped charging after a week. The chrger worked but the battery wouldn't hold a charge. I contacted Asus, who informed me that the batteries were backordered and he didn't know when they would be available. I immediatley returned the computer to Amazon for an exchange. The new one lasted about six weeks before the charger stopped working(light went out). I called Asus and arranged for a replacement charger, which is also backordered. That was a month ago. Asus shouldn't sell product they can't support.
Edited:My bad. The unit was actually an ASUS Eee PC 1005HA-VU1X-BK 10.1-Inch Black Netbook - 8.5 Hour Battery Life. Different battery. My opinion remains unchanged. They can't support their product.』
(DOA) 『Ordered 2 units, one black one blue, intended as Christmas gifts for my nephew and niece. I opened up the black one first. Loaded up software, configured users, upgraded memory, web cam, touch pad, keyboard, wifi N, bluetooth, everything works just fine.
I than hooked up the blue one. DOA! Tried plugged and unplugged battery, ac power, F2...no sign of any activity other than the fan and those little blue lights. Called Asus 24/7 help support. Friendly service lady but all suggestions she gave I had already tried myself before.
Amazon makes the return and replacement policy easy but the replacement is shipped via USPS. I am crossing my fingers now because I have a few games and blu-ray moves from amazon took near a month to be delivered via USPS.
As of my view on the working black one, well I consider myself as a power user. My desktop hard drive or graphic card alone costs nearly as much as this netbook already and my current laptop is the 17" MacBook Pro. So I just can't help but feel this netbook is sluggish from time to time. The plastic casing feels cheap compares to the aluminum on MackBook Pro. The touch pad is too small for me.
Bottom line is SD video playback and Skype works just fine.
』
(This is a great value netbook.) 『First let me say that I purchased this item from another website, but let me be clear in saying that Amazon is my number one site for all types of purchases. I have had this product for about a week now and I must say it does deliver. Not only does it have great battery perfomance, it offers a sleugh of other features that just make it an overall great value. I have been pondering it over for a while and decided to go the route of the netbook, its small enough to be portable, but has the abililty to handle basic task such as word processing, web browsing and email. I purchased this item with Windows 7 and was upset with the limitation of not being able to change the wallpaper. However, ASus has a great application/utility on their site that they released that circumvents this hinderance. I have it with Win 7 Starter, 1GB of Ram (which I upgraded to 2 GB - highly recommended) 250 GB HDD (with 500GB of Internet Storage, graciously provided by Asus), comes with an inner sleeve (I recommended getting a carry case), built in webcam and mic. It also has 3 USB ports, bluetooth, 802.11b/g/n wireless LAN, memory card reader and best of all 10.5hours of battery life, that you cannot beat.
Overall, for the cost and value plus the things you get from this machine, it is definately worth the purchase in my opinion.
You might be wondering why I gave it 4 stars after all the praise. Well Win 7 Starter for one, that is mainly M$ fault for even release a crippled version of windows 7, shame on them. And while the machine perfoms well for a netbook, dont expect to be doing lots of task at once. When you are use to fast desktop PCs it can be hard to take a step backwards.』

Usually ships in 24 hours Core2Duoノートレビュー 's review (What car do you drive?) 『Don't let your decision to not buy this mouse because it's "too much." Of course, it's just a mouse. It does the same thing any other mouse does... but just like cars, why do people buy BMW's instead of just buying as elegant, efficient Honda? It's because of the little things...
I didn't think I would use this mouse so much. Going from my home computer to other computers really makes me realize the fucntionality of this mouse. Operations on my computer has not been more efficient.
When I was considering different mice, I thought I wanted bluetooth. I really didn't want an adapter hanging out of my laptop, I was too paranoid that it would snap off. But the receiver for this mouse is tiny! Although it takes up one USB port, I just fit it in a discrete USB port in the back and forget it's there. And unlike Bluetooth, the connectivity doesn't cut in and out. I can move the laptop out of the room and bring it back and I don't have to re-sync the mouse, it just automatically starts going.
The big deal about this mouse is the darkfield sensor. They claim it can be used on almost any surface even glass(at least 4mm thick. Although I have not tried this on glass, but I can say it has worked on everything from my desk, to couch, to jeans to my shirt! (Lazily laying down...)
The hot-buttons have raised my functionality to the next level. I love the application switcher a lot, letting me see all the windows that are running at the push of a button. (I multi-task... too much...>.<) The browser buttons are always great. The scroll wheel is smooth, and has two settings, one for fast scrolling and a "precision" scrolling mode, which I don't use much, but I guess these would be good for looking through things that need more accuracy than the scroll wheel.
Sometimes I click something and the scroll wheel goes crazy and rolls me straight through all the windows. I'm not sure of this is more of a user problem (me) or a fault. It doesn't happen often, but I felt like I should have noted it.
It's a nice and big mouse, great for my hands (I bought the MX travel mouse and my hands hurt from using it, so I returned it and got this.)
Again, this mouse is just a mouse. If that's all you want, that's all you get. But if you want something that will give you efficiency and speed in all "mousework," this is for you. The Performance MX is the BMW of computer mice. 』
(First, I love it. Second, I found two things I wish were different...) 『I love it, great mouse! Wireless dongle stays on my laptop and is barely noticeable. Fits in my (tight) laptop case (still plugged into my MBP) no problem. The two things I wish were different:
1) the extreme amount of packaging. I understand they have to present the package nicely to sell it, but there was an awful lot of wastefulness in the amount of material used. I felt I probably paid 5 dollars for the package - and screwed mother nature a bit in the process. It came with a little case for the cord (a mini-USB -to- USB for charging), which I found unnecessary. It's not like I'm going to carry the case around with me, just to house a simple mini-USB connector.
2) In the past I've had a mouse with the "forward" button on the right side (of a right handed mouse) - I liked that. This mouse has the forward and back buttons on the left, in a spot that makes your thumb hate you if you attempt to use more than once an hour. First because its too hard to distinguish which is forward and which is back, and second because you have to contort your thumb to get to the buttons, and interrupt your work flow to either glance down at the mouse, or just press the buttons awkwardly until you hit the one you want. its not a nice feeling if you do it a lot.』
(Best desktop mouse from Logitech) 『I've owned countless mice over the years; everything from your basic corded ball mouse, so portable Bluetooth mice, to top of the line cordless optical mice. This particular product obviously falls into the latter category. Of these mice, most are Logitech simply because I prefer their features, comfort, and usability over competing products from Microsoft and other vendors.
The current MX mouse is what of the most fully loaded mouse I've ever used. It has just about every feature and functionality that you'd want from a desktop mouse. Whether you are spending your day surfing the web, typing up e-mails, or playing games, this mouse has you covered.
Starting with normal desktop usage, you have several buttons that work as shortcuts to make life easier. There is a back/forward button, zoom (more on that later), Windows Aero Task switcher, speed sensitivity, and 2-mode scroll wheel. The only feature I've found to be annoying is the zoom button, which is located directly below the back/forward buttons. It took some getting used to as I found I kept zooming instead of going back or forward in my browser. You can also just turn it off.
I have another nearly identical Logitech mouse that doesn't have this button. I wish they'd leave that button off or move it further away. The other feature worth mentioning is the 2-mode scroll wheel. With the simply push of a button you can leave it in the normal clicking mode we are used to, or have that "click" function disabled so the wheel spins freely. Just give it a push and it'll keep spinning until it eventually slows down on its own or you stop it yourself. This is very handy for scrolling through long webpages or documents.
When it comes to gaming, you're covered as well. With another simple push of a button, you can adjust the sensitivity (or DPI) of the optical sensor. This is ideal for scrolling across large maps or sniping from a hidden roof top in your favorite FPS. Users who need precise mouse movement in apps such as Photoshop might also find this useful. The other much advertised feature is the new laser that can track on just about anything, including glass. Bottom line, it works.
The last feature I feel worth mentioning is the micro-USB port in the front of the mouse. I'm not sure why somebody didn't think of this sooner. This is much better than using a dock, cradle, or even replacing battery. When your mouse is dying, just plug in the cable and you can use it as a "normal" corded mouse. Once charged, disconnect, and off you go. Very nice.
Pros: * Lots of customizable buttons * Very smooth performance * Solid feel and construction * Adjustable DPI * Best ergonomic mouse out there * Micro USB recharge port in front of mouse. * Laser works just about anywhere
Cons: * Zoom button too close to other buttons. * Bit pricey
Overall I consider this mouse highly recommended. While it is somewhat pricey, you do get a lot of mouse for your money. It's not for everybody. But if you want the best, this is the one to get. 』
(Significant downgrade from prior flagship, MX Revolution) 『This is a great mouse for anyone who hasn't used Logitech's prior flagship mouse, the MX Revolution. This is its replacement, offered at the same price as the now-discontinued revolution. Unfortunately, while there are some nice enhancements, it's an overall downgrade, disappointing many users of the MX Revolution (there are over 100 complaints on Logitech's announcement blog), including myself.
First, the good: - The new sensor allows you to use the mouse on any surface, including glass. They're promoting this like crazy, but it seems like it's not really a big deal (hard mouse on hard glass is a recipe for scratches on one or both, if any grit gets between them, so I don't see myself wanting to use it on glass). This new sensor should mean better tracking on all surfaces, though, which is great. - The new thumb button underneath the rubber is really cool, and very convenient to use. - The DPI can be changed on the fly if you use the software that the mouse ships with. - The accessories are very nice - a travel case, a USB charge cord and a USB-to-outlet-power adapter (which presumably can be used with any USB-charging device), and a USB extension cord for the receiver. - The new receiver is tiny, so there's no risk of accidentally hitting it and breaking it if it's plugged directly into your computer. - The new receiver is a "unifying" receiver, meaning it'll work with other cordless devices that support it. If you plan to buy another brand new Logitech input device, and if they stick with this interface in the long term, this could be really useful.
The bad: - What made the MX Revolution revolutionary was the smooth wheel scrolling, which could be activated by a customized "SmartShift" setting - spin it fast, and it'll switch to smooth scrolling mode automatically. Since it was controlled in software, it also meant you could program ANY button to toggle scroll modes. Once you get used to this feature, you'll NEVER want to use a mouse without it. Unfortunately, Logitech dropped the feature, so you'll never again find a new mouse that has the feature. It was replaced by a cheap-feeling mechanical toggle button that cannot be reprogrammed. This is a major step backwards. They claim it was removed because it confused users, but public user comments _unanimously_ say otherwise. I strongly suspect it was discontinued because it was more expensive to implement than the current method. - The MX Revolution had a cradle, which made it really easy to charge the mouse - drop it in the cradle overnight. The Performance MX replaces it entirely with a power cord, which has a small, fragile plug. This is probably better for travelers and laptop users, but a step backwards for desktop users. - The Forward and Back buttons were shifted forward on the mouse. Unless you have a very long thumb, this means that the Forward button will require some reaching to use. Their placement on the MX Revolution put both of them in easy reach. - The MX Revolution would stop discharging when you stopped using it. Leave it on the table overnight, and its charge level will be the same tomorrow. This only sometimes works with the Performance MX. If you leave the Performance MX lying around without manually turning it off or plugging it in, though, and your battery level might be "Low" or "Critical" the next day. Or it might not be. It's inconsistent.
Some people decry the loss of the side rocker wheel, but personally, I never found it to be a useful feature on the MX Revolution. Regardless, that wheel served as three buttons (rock forward, back, or press), which have been replaced by the single thumb button that I really like. If you want lots of buttons to assign functions to, the Performance MX has two fewer assignable buttons than the mouse it replaces, which might be annoying.
I'll get used to this mouse, but at its price, if I had paid for it, I would return it for something else. Fortunately or unfortunately, Logitech's reliability isn't what it used to be, so my MX Revolution failed just before its warranty expired (the latest in a long string of Logitech devices that have failed right around their warranty expiration for my family), and Logitech's wonderful customer service replaced it with a new Performance MX. I've always found Logitech's customer support to be absolutely top notch (which is why I keep buying Logitech hardware even though it keeps failing), but in this case, their warranty replacement turned out to be a significant downgrade that would not be worth the price this mouse sells for. Some stores still have MX Revolution mice in stock and for sale. If you're considering buying this mouse, I strongly encourage you to seek out an available MX Revolution instead.
Still, this isn't a bad mouse. Whereas I'd give the MX Revolution 4.5-5 stars, I'll give this one 3. For the price and features, though, 3 stars aren't enough to make this mouse a good deal.』
(replacement for Microsoft ComfortOptical Mouse 3000, so far so good) 『On my office desktop, I have been a long time satisfied user of the ergonomic mouse from Micrsoft, the ComfortOptical 3000. Which is, by the way, slightly dated but still an excellent mouse all around. After feeling the Logitech Performance Mouse in my hand, which felt surprisingly comfortable and snugly satisfying in my hand, I've decided to cut the USB cord and take the plunge for a new mouse. The set up is very simple: install the drivers/app, plug the tiny (about the size of a finger nail) USB receiver into your computer, charge up the mouse a little bit with any standard USB connection, and presto! The motion is smooth on all of the surfaces I've tested. I ended up deciding to keep my old mouse pad simply because it had a comfortable gel pad for my wrist, for neat freaks, you can simply loss the pad and use it directly on any desk surface. The pointer motion is very accurate and smooth, scrolling is excellent, and conveniently placed thumb keys that are actually useful (just like my old ComfortOptical 3000). So far, I don't have any complaints. My only "wishlist" for this product is the lack of a charging station. While I appreciate the convenience of not having to use a specialized charger, but for a product at this price range, both options (charging via standard USB or a dedicated charger dock) should have been made available.』 『With your Logitech Performance Mouse MX, you've got the power to conquer almost any surface and any task without a second thought.』

(its awesome) 『its great just killed my dvd drive loading cd's but im running an external to finish the rest of them』
(Packs a punch) 『This is my third iPod, the others being a 40GB classic (hard drive model) and an 8GB 2g Nano (my wife's). I chose the Nano because I wanted something small and vibration tolerant that I could listen to while active (doing chores, exercising, etc.).
The Good: * Simple, sleek, and cool--worthy of the Apple name. * Small size and relatively large display. * Navigation is straightforward, and syncing through iTunes is simple. * The radio feature with live pause is great. Now when I'm interrupted I can just pause and resume without missing the broadcast. * The video camera is a nice addition. As long as you realize it's more about convenience than quality you should be satisfied. On the Mac, your videos show up in iPhoto once you've enabled the Nano for disk use. * The silver color coordinates nicely with aluminum iMacs.
The Bad: * I want a dedicated volume control. Yes, I know this would interrupt Apple's minimalist design philosophy, but some functions deserve their own physical controls. There are times when the scroll wheel controls other functions (menu navigation, traversing saved radio stations) and thus you can't directly, immediately change the volume, which I find annoying. Instead, I have to pause the unit first or navigate to "Now Playing", which is a hassle. * The Apple earbuds aren't going to win any audiophile awards. Their sound is pretty lousy, actually, but they're fine for listening when I'm engaged in an active task and don't have my full attention turned to listening. * It doesn't charge from certain older iPod accessories. I have a JBL Soundstage and an iHome under-counter player, and neither can charge/control the Nano. Apparently they use the Firewire rather than USB interface internally, which newer iPods don't support this anymore. You can still play the iPod through the devices though. * It's too easy to accidentally cover the camera lens when taking a video. I've found holding the Nano at the opposite end or along the edges works best, but it's a bit awkward due to the small size of the device. * VoiceOver is an interesting feature, but I turned it off because it kept getting unintentionally triggered when I scanned forward/back in a track (mostly for podcasts). * 16MB is probably enough for most people, but I have a large music collection and would like a larger memory option. Unfortunately this means moving to a bulkier model (the Touch or Classic).』
(Great, but could be better.) 『Love this iPod. It's a great buy.Apple iPod nano 16 GB Black (5th Generation) NEWEST MODEL Pros: Extremely small. Just a little longer than an Altoids tin, and about as thick as a 3.5in floppy. 16G is plenty for what I need to be portable. I use this iPod primarily in my car, and it is vastly superior to the radio. Easy to use, as the iPods are made to be. No long learning curve on operation. Cons: I'm not sure as to the necessity of the video on this. 16G isn't much if you plan to use your iPod for movies. Maybe a little too small; I have large hands, and this iPod feels a bit like a toy. it is nearly uncomfortable to hold, due to its small size. All in all, I say: If you want this as an interim device to take jogging, or you need an iPod that you can slip in the pocket of tight jeans, get this one. If you want an iPod to store a ton of stuff, or you plan to be using it for video or as a hand-held device often, get an iPod.Apple iPod classic 160 GB Black (7th Generation) NEWEST MODEL That's my 2 cents. The rest of the check is on you.』

It seems there is no competition for Ipod.

How it Works You'll notice how smoothly and easily VoiceOver works. A lot of thought went into creating an iPod nano that not only talks, but says the right things. It all begins with iTunes and its seamless integration with iPod nano. First, iTunes reads your song information, then uses the VoiceOver Kit to generate the announcements for the songs, artists, and playlists. Just sync your iPod nano to your computer and it really speaks to you.
It Speaks Multiple Languages Your music library has songs from all over the world--a love song from France, a bolero from Spain, a pop tune from Japan. Luckily, VoiceOver speaks fluent song.
iTunes selects the language and best voice for your song titles and artist names. It looks at song data, like the title, artist, and album information, then applies intelligent algorithms to choose the right language. For example, iTunes recognizes the song "Ya Viene el Sol by Ozomatli as a Spanish song, so your iPod nano will automatically speak that song title and artist in Spanish. If you prefer to hear that information spoken in another language, you can change the designated VoiceOver language for that song in iTunes.
