(Cartridge worked well for 1 month and now water flows SLOWLY!) 『I bought this as a replacement for our humidifier...it worked great as a replacement for exactly one month. The flow of water is so slow now that the humidifier shuts off and on every 5 minutes because it doesnt have enough water to create mist......
For something so expensive - I wish it would work longer then a month. 』
(Excellent product) 『This product works very well. It is much needed if you have hard water. To spend a pretty hefty price on the humidifier and then not use the support product would not be wise.』

Core2Duoノートレビュー 's review (It's Ok) 『I don't like this Mr Coffee as much as my last one. It causes alot of fluid spill. The pot spout is narrow, so when pouring coffee into our cups it overflows the spout onto the countertop no matter how slow you pour it. There are two holes in the back of the coffee maker designed, I guess, so you don't overfill the water resevoir. When I'm pushing the coffeemaker back into place on our countertop after filling it, the water swishes and spills out of the holes. Then, when you lift the lid and pull out the coffee basket, condensed water spills onto the hot plate, another area you have to wipe up. I'll deal with it because I don't want to pay the ridiculous prices for another time delay coffee pot but it's a pain in the neck to keep having to wipe up spills』
(Great little coffeemaker: good value for the price) 『I actually purchased this at a local Target store, but bought it based on the Amazon customer reviews. I only make coffee once a day, enough to fill my commuter cup (~2.5 cups worth according to the markings on the carafe). It brews quickly, and the coffee is a lot hotter than what came out of my prior coffeemaker (a Black and Decker 4 cup maker). My commuter cup is stainless steel and I discovered that I do NOT need to pre-heat it with hot water like I used to do; the freshly brewed coffee from this model stays good and hot in my commuter cup for at least an hour. I'm impressed that there are so many features for the price, i.e, clock, delay brew, pause 'n pour.
Yes, there is one little quirk: the filter basket doesn't seat firmly if the lid is up (due to the spring mechanism that allows the pause 'n pour function)so you do have to take the carafe off of the plate at the very beginning of preparation and put it back at the very last (once the lid is closed and before pressing "START"), but that's such a minor thing, it's not even an issue with me (I just wanted to let you all know). Overall, I really like this coffeemaker and am very pleased with it.』
(Mr Coffee DRX5 4-cup Coffeemaker) 『I absolutely love this coffeemaker. It is quick and easy to make an excellent cup of coffee anytime without having to pay the higher prices for the K-cup and pod type coffees.』
(sub standard) 『Bought to replace an 8 cup which worked for years, reliably. (Make Black&Decker) 1. Very difficult to poor water into tank without spilling. 2. Silly design of carafe with attached lid makes it difficult to pour w/o the cap falling lose and spilling 3. Pause feature - when you remove the carafe, worked only 2 days. Then stopped. Now we wait for entire pot to finish, if not coffee spills everywhere. 』
(Mr Coffee is the best) 『I have one of these in the office the staff bought it and it has lasted a long time.. I like that we can program it in advance to have cofee ready each morning』 『Set the Delay Brew feature up to 24 hours in advance and get ready to wake up to a freshly brewed pot of hot, delicious coffee. This coffee maker also offers Pauseân Serve capability, allowing you to pour a cup of coffee while the coffee maker is still brewing. And the Removable Filter Basket makes cleanup quick-and-easy.』

Better than buying gallons and gallons of distilled water every week. Just buy the filter, it's cheaper and weighs less.』
(Best fileters out there.) 『From the moment I turn on my furnace for the winter I need to have my humidifier running. These are the most convenient and longest lasting filters that I have used. Most of my humidifiers never get used after the first season due to being more of a pain than anything. The humidifier that these fit has been with me for 3 seasons now.』
(rinse before first use) 『These work great. I didn't rinse these before inserting into my bionaire tower humidifier and within 20 minutes or so, my entire apartment started to reek of foul-smelling chemicals. After thoroughly rinsing, the smell went away. I did notice that these filters catch more minerals than the bionaire filters that came with the machine, so I will have to replace these more often. Be careful about letting the water run dry in the tank; it seems to ruin these filters.』
(as pictured - u get only 3) 『Just rcv'd (09/08/09) and I can confirm they are what you see in the picture.
One thing, I thought in buying one set of 3 I was getting 6 individual filters. I guess it's my mistake, it's only 3, which for my particular unit (a Bionaire) is somewhat usless since I need two individual filters for it to operate. I guess the Holmes uses 3 (and they are interhchangable). So if like me your filter uses two at a time, you need to order two whole sets of these so you get 6 - an even number.
PS: If you don't use your filter for a while, don't leave water in it (thus the wicks are still wet). Just run it till it is dry or empty the water out. If you leave the wicks in water and store the filter, the filters will spawn bacterial growth and deteriorate faster. And be gently with them when you clean them. Replacing these often is necessary but I don't know about people who say 2-3 weeks. Mine laster lot longer (months) but I can't say I was using it every single day.
I have not used these yet so if they suck i will let you know but they seem pretty well just like the original units i had.』 『3 Pack, Replacement Wick Filters, For Holmes Models Humidifiers: HM7203RC, 7305, 7305RC, 7405, 7306, HM4600, HM6000, BCM5520, BCM6010, Carbon Filter, Microban Antimicrobial Protection.』

(excellent holiday background music) 『This is the album from my youth while opening packages! Was excited to find it in CD form. All beautiful orchestra instrumentals on the holiday classics. Perfect for holiday moodsetting background music. Also nice to play while driving to get into the holiday spirit! One of our all time favorites.』
(If you only own one Christmas music recording ...) 『... this is THE ONE! Like several of the other reviewers of this magnificent recording, I originally bought it as an LP and literally wore it out. It has been used to greet Christmas morning in my home ever since. The first cut, "Hark the Herald Angels Sing," NEVER FAILS to make me a bit leaky around the eyes, especially when the chorale comes in. Many of the same cuts are on the very similar "Joy to the World" CD by the same artists, but in a different order. Greeting the newborn Savior on Christmas morn with the trumpet fanfare in "Hark" is part of what has come to define my Christmas.』
(Both great instrumentals and vocals) 『This was another album we always listened to when I was a child. It's kind of Mormon Tabernacleish sounding, with all the religious songs of the holidays right there. Not a secular one in the batch. But for that lush Sixties Christmas sound, with loads of strings and smoothness (can you say Muzak) it cannot be beat. I like to turn it up loud and sing along--then put on the Billboard Christmas favorites or Jimmy Buffet's Christmas as an antidote right afterward.』

We listen to all 3 volumes (I know there are tons of Disney compilations out there, but these are the orignals) in the car and my daughter changes her favorite every week. The ones from the rides are especially fun, and some of them are quite old, but still great!』
(Great CD, Great Songs) 『My family loves listening to this CD. We have numerous Disney music CD's and we listen to them constantly in the car. I would defintely recommend this to any Disney fan.』
(more adult) 『The songs on this cd are a bit more "adult" than on the others. I really enjoy, but the kids don't really ask for this one.』
(Pretty much as good as the rest) 『The songs on this CD are a little newer and less "classic-ish" than the songs on previous albums in this line, but I still find them to be a good completion to my collection. Again, there is a variety of songs, which is good for car trips and such.』 『Cynical types will accuse Disney of milking the "greatest" concept until it's drier than Tinkerbell's fairy dust ("Supercalafragilisticexpealidocious," "Zip-a-Dee-Doo-Da," and "Heigh Ho" were hits off of Vol. 1; "Bare Necessities," "It's a Small World," and "Some Day My Prince Will Come" stole the show on Vol. 2), but a glimpse of this installment's track listing is all it'll take to squash their suspicions. Once again running reverse-chronologically, Vol. 3 opens with Jonatha Brooke's gorgeously achy ballad "I'll Try," from 2002's arguably not-so-greatReturn to Neverland, and gradually reaches back through the years to re-raise the curtain onToy Story 2("When She Loved Me," performed by Sarah McLachlan),The Lion King("Can You Feel the Love Tonight"),Mary Poppins(Julie Andrews's classic "A Spoonful of Sugar"),Pinocchio("Give a Little Whistle"), and a bundle of treasured others, bottoming out at 1933's "Who's Afraid of the Big Bad Wolf" fromThe Three Little Pigs. Vol. 3 is not without its weak moments--would a G-rated movie-goers' poll produceBeauty and the Beast's "Gaston" orThe Hunchback of Notre Dame's "Topsy Turvy" on a hits list? Seems unlikely. Still, the bulk of these tracks are, as the includedLittle Mermaidsong goes, "Part of Your World," and the spread of decades they represent proves their staying power. Don't expect Disney to latch the lid on its inexhaustible archives until a dozen or so of these records, each as strong as the next, beckon you back for more.--Tammy La Gorce』

After that, my wife was surprised at me for giving her a second opportunity... but it was worth it.
This disc is diverse, both in styles as in languages (English, Italian, French). Not as astonishing as Quelqu'un M'a Dit, but still a good acquisition.』

(Sultry alto, and also First Lady of France!) 『All but two of the songs on this CD are in French (one of the remaining songs is in English, and one is in Italian). If you take the time to do the translation, you will find that the French seem to have no compunction about certain subjects English-speaking audiences find a bit uncomfortable. Carla Bruni reinforces this idea, for example comparing certain female body parts to a chrysanthemum.
Even if you don't bother to do the translation, you'll hear a sultry woman's voice, singing with feeling and verve. Although the songs are all similar (including the English "You Belong To Me" and the Italian "Il Vecchio e il Bambino"), they have an easy-listening, smooth-jazz feel that makes nice background music.
This is not a "deep" set; rather, it's a set of songs by a woman who clearly has feeling for the words she's singing, and is happy to share those moods with the rest of us.』

Usually ships in 24 hours Core2Duoノートレビュー 's review (GOLF HISTORIANS NEED APPLY) 『The only time that Snead and Hogan ever played a head to head 18 hole exhibition match for national television took place at the Houston Country Club in 1965. Prior to this, Snead had held a 3-0 series edge in tour playoffs, including the famous win at the 1954 Masters. Hogan played his guts out at Houston, hitting 18 fairways and 18 greens. Career grand slam winner Gene Sarazen called Ben's round the best from tee to green that he'd seen in his 63 years. Officially, it ended 69-72, misleading since Hogan missed many holeable putts, the bane of the ageing golfer.Do not be too quick to turn off your video either. Two men who combined to win 16 major titles had more understandable technique tips after the match than one will hear from a modern pro in hours of lessons.』
(Great look at Hogan playing) 『If you are a big Hogan fan this is definitely worth getting. There are not many places where you can actually see Ben hitting shots and playing golf other than this. Ben hits all 14 fairways and 18 greens during this match and with a little better putting could have shot a really low score. Much is made about Ben playing a fade but on the first hole been hits a draw driver and a draw iron into the green. He basically played whatever the hole called for. This is a real classic match and a must see for Ben Hogan or Sam Snead fans.』
(Beautiful swings) 『This video not only brings back the memory of two of the worlds greatest golfers of all time, but reminds me of the consistancy and longevity of these two titans. Before there was Palmer, Nicklaus, or Earl Wood had a gleam in his eye, these two prowled the circut along with Lord Byron and dominated the sport for almost two decades. When this video was shot, Hogan was basically putting the finishing touches on his career, yet would still particpate in majors and some charity events till the end of the 60's. Snead however would continue to play the circut, and would be instrumental in developing the Seniors circut we see today. This video is well worth the price just to see the two go at it for 18, (Hogan never played a match just for fun) and while Houston CC is a fairly wide open venue, it still is a competitive course. By the way Hogan hits all 18 in regulation. The video is a little goofy at the beginning talking about the evolution of Houston and its future but all in all a fun trip for those of us who remember the two or any younger folks who truly want to see two of the most contrasting yet finest swings ever.』
(Very dissapointed) 『My VHS tape sound was terrible. It sounded like a motorboat on the sound track. The sound is so annoying it has to be turned off to view the tape. The visual aspect was fine. I am very disappointed in the quality of the product.』

A classic match with a bonus... tips from Hogan and Snead!
Considered by many to be the best golfer of all time, Ben Hogan is probably best remembered for his diligent work ethic and search for perfection. Driven by the desire to win, Hogan's first tour victory came in 1940. From 1946-48 he won 32 times, including three major titles. A near-fatal car crash in 1949 almost ended his career, but Hogan's determination never faltered as he mounted a spectacular comeback in the 50's, winning six more championships.
To his first tour win in 1937 Sam Snead added more than 100 additional worldwide victories over the next four decades. A founding member of the Senior Tour, Sam continued winning even into the 1980's. His record is only part of what makes him legendary. With one of the most admired and natural golf swings the game has ever seen and an easy-going attitude to match, Sam Snead is undoubtedly one of golf's greatest players.
Houston Country Club's generous fairways are forgiving off the tee, but to shoot low, precise iron shots to the giant elevated greens are a must. This was an ideal venue for the historical 18-hole match between two masters of the game, Ben Hogan and Sam Snead. Hogan proved this by hitting every fairway and every green in regulation. 』 『 Hogan vs. Snead: Shell's Wonderful World of Golf features:

I really enjoyed Patrick Bergin's 'Lost World' The confusion is understandable because there were about 5 different versions of Lost World made within a few years of eachother. Even the TV Guide would list the wrong one and broadcast a different 'Lost World' than the one they listed in the guide.』
(This is NOT the movie you saw on TNT!) 『This is a common misunderstanding. The version of"The Lost World"everyone saw on TNT is the pilot for the Television series that airs on WGN. This particular movie stars Patrick Bergin as Professor Challenger and the plateau setting is moved to Mongolia. The special effects are so-so and the acting is hoaky. (Be Careful who you order from!) 『These filters are great, but I fully agree with other reviewers who were surprised when they ordered them from Buy-It-Now-Store (the $1.25 vendor) and then ONLY received the inner filter instead of the "set" as listed. Buy-It-Now-Store should remove their listing from this 'set' heading and sell their 'inner-filter-only' under an appropriate heading instead of mis-leading customers. Fine print stating "does not include pre-filter" in an obscure place doesn't cut it.
So, if your once great dust-buster is starting to seem sluggish, get rid of that old crappy, filthy filter and put a new one in it. Chances are, it'll run like new again, but remember to clean it regularly. (a great movie! Dont listen to 5- stars!) 『The battle of Stalingrad is the most epic battle ever, and an accurate re-enactment is an education of inestimable value! How can these vermin of Stalingrad give it less than 5 stars I doin't know! (scratch scratch) Evidently they think of it as "entertainment." (scratch) The amazing moral, personal, and social insensitivity of modern Americans is, to me, quite amazing! Anyway, this film displays the incredible personal and moral courage of Russian soldiers fighting like rats in the ruins of Stalingrad. (scratch scratch) Stalin threw soldiers against the Germans like lambs to the slaughter - The Russian army had machine guns - to kill their own who ran from the suicidal charges. The opening scene on the Volga is worth the whole film. We should be so lucky if we had more films portraying the "rats in the ruins" of similar battles. (scratch) A film about the Russian invasion of Germany would be an amazing film, as would the invasion and bombing of Japan in WW2. (scratch)』
(War of the rats) 『If you're in the mood for a really good war flick you can't go wrong with 2001's "Enemy at the Gates." Most WWII films take place on the Western Front whereas "Enemy" is one of only two films I can think of that address the Eastern front, the other being Sam Peckinpah's underrated "Cross of Iron" (1977).
THE PLOT: The entire story takes place during the pivotal Battle of Stalingrad. Russian troops are carted in by the literal trainloads as the Germans attack/bomb the city. Once the dust clears the situation settles into a more personal battle of sharpshooting wills. A lowly young Russian soldier named Vassili (Jude Law) distinguishes himself for his shooting skills and is promoted as a national hero to motivate the Russian cause. After numerous German officers are assassinated Major König (Ed Harris), the top German sniper, is assigned to seek out and eliminate Vassili.
I saw this film back when it was first released to video and three things stuck in my mind over the years: (1.) The opening sequence where the Russian troops are boated across the Volga River to join the fight. This sequence is just extremely harrowing, even more so than Saving Private Ryan's opening D-Day invasion. This is definitely one of the most realistic, well-done scenes in war film history. The film's worth viewing for this incredible sequence alone! (2.) The city-in-rubble sets with bodies strewn everywhere had a lasting impression on me as did the scurring-like-rats-through-the-rubble warfare. (3.) Some may find this weird, but I always remembered the discreet love-making scene while the soldiers laid in the rubble trying to sleep. I'm not sure why this left an impression, maybe because it struck me as so real -- men&women would be drawn to one another and mate even in the worst possible scenarios.
I just saw the film a second time recently and, again, the warfare reminded me of human rats scurring through the debris. What's interesting is that I later discovered that the film was based on the book "War of the Rats" by David L. Robbins. Guess the movie was supposed to provoke the imagery of rats, huh?
The cast also includes Joseph Fiennes as the political officer who elevates Vassili to hero status via his pamphlets and articles, while Rachel Weisz plays the romantic interest between the two. Ron Perlman is also on hand in a limited role as Vassili's sharpshooting comrade.
As with any film based on historical events there are facts-obsessed critics who decry the lack of authenticity in this or that detail (e.g. "The zippers on the trousers aren't right -- blasphemy!!", but "Enemy" gets the gist right and, besides, it motivates the viewer to research the actual Battle of Stalingrad, at least this is what it did for me. What more can you ask for? The fact is Vassili played a key role in motivating the Russians to victory in the Battle of Stalingrad, one of the major turning points of World War II; from then on it was all downhill for Germany.
FINAL WORD: "Enemy at the Gates" is a truly unforgettable war film about an oft-ignored important aspect of WWII, the Eastern front. It has numerous memorable scenes, especially the opening crossing of the Volga and also a clever sequence involving a large shard of reflective glass. In my humble opinion the film's far better than the contemporaneous "Saving Private Ryan" (I'm sure I'll get a handful of 'non-helpful' votes for that sacrilegious statement).
GRADE: B+ or A-』
(Graphic) 『Be forewarned. This movie is about snipers. Snipers go for headshots. You do the math.
Very well done, with a portrayal of Kruschev sent to the city by Stalin to "fix" things. Stalingrad landmarks are well-portrayed in the film. The actors were good, but in some cases I think they were in miscast.』
(Not to bad for a work of fiction) 『Ok so the deul between snipers, great propoganda, not likely though. Did the Nazis want Zaitsev dead? Yes. But there were deadlier snipers in the Red Army, including a few women who had much higher kill totals then he did. Really though the Nazis send a major, head of thier sniper school to hunt Zaiysev? Doubtful. Rachel Wiesz's character is supposed to be Ukrainian, and not jewish. Apparently though every World War 2 movie about Europe has to hammer home the Holocaust in some way. Guess it's a standard receipe in Hollywood. She was according to history a deadly individual who arrived in Stalingrad with around a Hundred kills already, and not the timid, afraid to shoot my gun character portrayed in the movie. A slight to her I'm sure, not sure what's wrong with a strong proud woman in a movie, defending her country, BUT Hollywood seems to not like the idea.
No the Russians had pleant of guns at Stalingrad. No need to wait for some poor schmuck to buy it so you could have one. Wrong period in history. Not one Russian soldier has a bayonet, despite a Red Army rule against removing them. History? NO! Entertainment, Yes. I liked Ron Pearlman's character. Too bad he dies quick. Ed Harris is awsome as the intenese German Major. And Bob Haskins as Kruschev is awsome. Yes the line...."I don't care you lost half your men, Lose the other half!" is probably true. Historicaly the Russians have always been willing to accept enourmous casualties in war.
Stop looking for history and truth, realize it's a propaganda story, a movie about the horror of war, and it's just entertainment.』 『LikeSaving Private Ryan,Enemy at the Gatesopens with a pivotal event of World War II--the German invasion of Stalingrad--re-created in epic scale, as ill-trained Russian soldiers face German attack or punitive execution if they flee from the enemy's advance. Director Jean-Jacques Annaud captures this madness with urgent authenticity, creating a massive context for a more intimate battle waged amid the city's ruins. Embellished from its basis in fact, the story shifts to an intense cat-and-mouse game between a Russian shepherd raised to iconic fame and a German marksman whose skill is unmatched in its lethal precision. Vassily Zaitzev (Jude Law) has been sniping Nazis one bullet at a time, while the German Major Konig (Ed Harris) has been assigned to kill Vassily and spare Hitler from further embarrassment.
There's love in war as Vassily connects with a woman soldier (Rachel Weisz), but she is also loved by Danilov (Joseph Fiennes), the Soviet officer who promotes his friend Vassily as Russia's much-needed hero. This romantic rivalry lends marginal interest to the central plot, but it's not enough to make this a classic war film. Instead it's a taut, well-made suspense thriller isolated within an epic battle, and although Annaud and cowriter Alain Godard (drawing from William Craig's book and David L. Robbins's novelThe War of the Rats) fail to connect the parallel plots with any lasting impact, the production is never less than impressive. Highly conventional but handled with intelligence and superior craftsmanship, this is warfare as strategic entertainment, without compromising warfare as a manmade hell on Earth.--Jeff Shannon』

It is all so heroic and exciting when you don't fully comprehend the finality of death. However, as I am a doting mother I indulge the Prince but not without a lot of editorial comment ("I bet their mamas are crying for them"..."even German mamas loved their boys"..."I sure hope there's no war when you grow up"...etc etc). This movie, Flyboys, was about perfect for our Saturday Night Viewing needs. The story line was very simple, there was a sweet little tragic love story easily comprehended by a 9 year old, and some walloping good special effects of bi-planes flying and shooting each other. The effects are what one should watch this movie for, as they are able to induce suspended disbelief in even the most jaded viewer. One is left with a sense of respect for the men who did fly these planes back when there were no parachutes. In fact, the Prince evinced renewed interest in his great grandfather who few a biplane in WWI for the British. So it wasn't a waste of time at all. A bit long maybe, and the talky parts drew out a bit but overall it was an enjoyable movie.』
(Over the Skies of France!) 『First I like to address the controversy sustained by various reviewers of this film about accuracy or inaccuracy of historical events. As usually occurs when Hollywood's products states "based on historical or true facts" viewers should take the statement as "very loosely based on historical or true facts", such is the case here. So do not get annoyed when lots of tri-planes shows up or a zeppelin intends to bomb Paris, those are the usual "historical licenses" of this kind of films. I regard this movie as an "action film" as for example "Indiana Jones" or "The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen" and as such is quite good.
"Flyboys" (2006) was directed by multifaceted Tony Bill who is also actor and producer of many films.
The story is based on the ventures of young Americans volunteers to become pilots of Lafayette Escadrille. From all over the States with different motivations they go to France without even knowing a French word. There they are trained and launched, still green, into the fry suffering losses and evolving step by step into veteran and even aces.
I love the special effects now possible with CGI, crowds of planes may be shown, fighting each other fiercely and giving the word "action" a full new meaning.
Play acting is correct, with only Jean Reno as Capt. Thenault over par, beautiful French actress Jennifer Decker as Lucienne give way to romance. The runtime, 140 minutes, is a little excessive.
A good movie for a variety of audiences: WWI buffs, action movie's fan, romance fans. Reviewed by Max Yofre.

(Coming Soon: FLYBOYS! Rated "L" for Ludicrous!) 『I've seen some wonderful aviation films in my time. FLYBOYS isn't one of them. Allegedly the story of the Lafayette Escadrille, it's awful for a whole raft of reasons. The MPAA Rating Board should create an "L" rating for movies as bad as this turkey.
After 250+ reviews, there's not much to say about FLYBOYS that hasn't been brought up. Having said that, I spent money on the dumb thing so I guess I have a right to speak. Actually I want to second all the critical brickbats that have been directed at this film. The complaints about the poor script, one-dimensional characters, uneven pacing, flat acting, unbelievable CGI effects, almost total lack of historical accuracy, etc. are all justified. The producers, director and screenwriters really hit the mark with this one!
If you're interested in WWI aviation movies, look for THE BLUE MAX, DAWN PATROL, WINGS, HELL'S ANGELS or even VON RICHTHOFEN AND BROWN. They're not all five-star efforts but they're all far better than FLYBOYS. Not recommended.』
(Even better than 'Top Gun') 『'Flyboys' is one of the best films I have ever seen, period. I was a skeptic of the movie at first, there have been so many good war movies made already, what could this one do to top any of them? While watching however, I was pleasantly surprised by not only the acting and storyline, but the soundtrack by Trevor Rabin put this one over the top.
Also, 'Flyboys' is based on the real life adventures of the Escadrille Lafayette, created during the early years of WWI by the French to allow volunteer American pilots to fight even though the U.S. had not entered the war. The fact that every character in this film was real makes it hit home. You really become attached to each of the main characters as they struggle to live and fight honorably in a war with very little purpose behind it.
'Flyboys' is the first 'modern' era film to attempt a portrayal of this particular story, and it does an AMAZING job. The effects, particularly the dogfights, are epic, and as mentioned, Trevor Rabin's soundtrack compliments the movie perfectly. The film summarizes itself succinctly during the opening titles...
"Though the airplane was only recently invented, it was quickly adapted for war. The young men who flew them became the first fighter pilots, and a new kind of hero was born..."
This movie is a must have for any cinema enthusiast or history buff, and spring an extra couple of bucks for the collector's edition, it comes with some neat postcards.』
(James Franco...amazing, again.) 『Why James Franco doesn't get more recognition is beyond me. I compare him to a young Johnny Depp; Good-looking in a non-conventional way, slightly boyish with a little bit of a rebel in him. Again, he does an amazing job in this film. Regardless of how you feel about him, you will definitely end up rooting for his character throughout the whole film. Not a James Franco fan? This film is still great. Based on true events, the movie truly has you on the edge of your seat the whole time. All of the characters bring something lovable to the movie, and you'll be watching it again and again.』 『MGM Flyboys (Blu-Ray) Inspired by the true story of the legendary Lafayette Escadrille, this action-packed epic tells the tale of America's first fighter pilots. These courageous young men distinguishthemselves in a manner that none before them had dared, becoming true heroes who experience triumph, tragedy, love, and loss amid the chaos of World War I. Hang on for the ride of your life!』 『World War I aviation action gets an impressive digital upgrade inFlyboys, a welcome addition to the "dogfight" sub-genre that includes such previous war-in-the-air films likeHell's Angels,Wings, andThe Blue Max. While those earlier films had the advantage of real and genuinely dangerous flight scenes (resulting, in some cases, in fatal accidents during production),Flyboystakes full (and safe) advantage of the digital revolution, with intensely photo-realistic recreations of WWI aircraft, authentic period structures, and CGI environments requiring a total of 850 digital effects shots, resulting in an abundance of amazing images, many of them virtually indistinguishable from reality. Unfortunately, the film's technical achievement is more impressive than its screenplay, which conventionally and predictably tells the fact-based story, set in France in 1916, of the daring young pilots of the Lafayette Escadrille, a pioneering French air-combat unit that welcomed American enlistees prior to the United States' entry into the war.
There's a familiar cliché to match every thrilling scene of aerial combat, but director Tony Bill manages to keep it all interesting, from the romance between a young American maverick (James Franco) and a pretty French girl (newcomer Jennifer Decker) to the exciting action in the air, which includes a stock variety of heroes (many of them composites of real-life WWI pilots) and an intimidating villain known only as "The Black Falcon," whose Fokker Dr-1 triplane (one of many in the film) recalls the exploits of German "ace of aces" Manfred von Richtofen, the dreaded "Red Baron" of legend. With impeccable productionvalues that will impress even the most nit-picking aviation buffs,Flyboys(likeSuperman ReturnsandApocalypto, also released in 2006) was also one of the first feature films to be shot with Panavision's state-of-the-art Genesis digital cameras, resulting in beautiful images that meet or exceed the visual nuance of film.Flyboysalso benefits from painstaking attention to physical detail, making it easier to forgive its shortcomings as a generic and formulaic slice of romanticized history. So while some viewers may have wished for a more realistic and grown-up depiction of the Lafayette Escadrille, it's safe to say thatFlyboyswill be thrilling its target audience for many years to come.--Jeff Shannon

Usually ships in 24 hours Core2Duoノートレビュー 's review (Embracing the New World) 『Terence Malick (Thin Red Line) directs this film about the meeting of two worlds. English explorer's land on the west coast of North America, near what today is Virginia, and build a settlement named Jamestown. They encounter the Naturals, as Captain John smith (Colin Farrell) calls the indigenous Indian population. Initially there is a uneasy period as the two cultures get acquainted. John Smith takes a small party up river to meet the Naturals. As is often the case with Malick's films nature is brought to the forefront. The inland landscape is like a confusing labyrinth that overwhelms the explorers. John Smith loses his comrades when they go off exploring in the marshes. Like a large spider's web, the natural world traps the men. This is a beautiful, but dangerous world that the Europeans have not yet tamed. The Naturals have learned to live within the landscape. Like a spider that is shown making its way over a tree trunk the Naturals have found a way to coexist with nature, but for the Europeans this is not the case as their situation deteriorates.
John Smith is captured by the Naturals and has his life spared by Pocahontas (Q'Orianka Kilcher). He lives amongst the Naturals for a time, learning their ways. A romance develops between Smith and Pocahontas, but once the Naturals realize that the Europeans intend to stay the Naturals are determined to chase them away and attack the settlers. Nothing is resolved, but many die on both sides. Eventually John Smith leaves the settlement and heads north leaving the Princess behind. The film beautifully unfolds as each new chapter reveals itself. The broken hearted Pocahontas eventually meets another European John Rolfe (Christian Bale) who she marries. Locations are then switched as Pocahontas sails to England with her European husband. She sees the Old World with its tall buildings and manicured gardens, and sheds her familiar clothing for that of the city dwellers. In this world we see nature as having been tamed by mankind. The trees are sculptured and ordered into distinct rows and patterns.
When Pocahontas again meets up with John Smith, it is a meeting of the old memories with the new. "The New World" reflects on the notion of change. Pocahontas is the free spirit that embraces and loves the world that she lives in. She's also the one that bridges the gap between the Naturals and the Europeans. This movie is a meditation about embracing life and all that it has to offer, and we experience this love of life through the exuberance of Pocahontas. Sit back and enjoy this luxurious film that passes over one like a breeze in the forest.
P.S. This is one of the best looking, and sounding, blu-rays I have seen. Truly beautiful!』
(Excellent Extension to the Original!) 『I'm not going to review the plot or the synopsis or The New World as a movie, because there are other reviews for that. I clearly enjoyed the movie and I won't argue with those who didn't. I'm simply going to review the Blu-ray quality and the extension to the original.
VIDEO (5/5) Five stars on the video, out of five. The picture is absolutely incredible. With the Oscar nomination for cinematography, the film being shot on film (no special effects or CGI work), Terrence Malick's choice of not using any artificial lighting, and more, the video couldn't be better. I have used this Blu-ray edition alone to find the perfect HDTV for my grandparents in the last couple of weeks. Having the Danny Boyle's recent sci-fi movie, Sunshine, on Blu-ray as well (it's known for its incredible picture quality), this movie was the victor. The picture is as real and as pure as it gets. I can't say that enough. When viewing on an HDTV, these huge wide shots really make you feel like you're there. The sunsets are colorful and enormous. Each blade of grass, every bead of sweat, and even subtle facial expressions can be seen. I even noticed something I never had--some small drops of dew, a gentle drizzle of rain, pilgrims working in the distance on some side shots, etc. This edition has the most pristine picture out of an Blu-ray I have seen yet. The sharpness and lighting and quality... just brilliant!
AUDIO (4/5) This edition should ONLY be played on surround sound. Listening to this on our TV's speakers was just terrible. This movie has an immense amount of sound. The cellos and basses from Wagner's Vorspiel, the rush of the river and streams, the rocking of the wood on ships, subtle whispers from Pocahontas's narration. There are so many different, lush sounds in this movie that having them projected from just two speakers creates an overload. And that's undesirable overload where certain things that need to be heard aren't. Audio gets a (4/5) because the Blu-ray lacked audio options (English only, English&Spanish subtitles, 5.1 only).
FEATURES (N/A) This edition is lacking any additional features from the DVD.
EXTENSION (5/5) Wonderful extension! The scenes are scattered throughout the film in a very balanced manner. We start to see them immediately in longer underwater shots at the beginning of the film. Most notably are the addition of scenes (complete scenes, not just longer shots) we had never seen before. I won't spoil the movie, but the extensions are great and give a deeper look inside Smith and Pocahontas's relationship. They are also placed in other areas of the film, not necessarily to show us something we were missing, but to throw us into the film, to give it life. I found the additional scenes wonderful, giving time to where the previous edition seemed to rush through. When Smith is sent back to Jamestown, for instance, we feel as he did. We had nearly forgotten about them and were desperate to get back. There is even some more narration that gives us some characterizing thoughts from the characters.
This is the best Blu-ray currently in my collection. The video is, dare I say, perfect. Seriously, play this Blu-ray edition next to another Blu-ray and you will be blown away at how great the picture is on this. I would suggest you buy. Quick shipment from Amazon and wonderful price. Best Buy had this for $40.』
(A great movie, but definitely not for all movie fans) 『This movie will need more than one viewing to grasp and follow the storyline, catch the dialog and the meaning behind the very few and far between spoken lines. And this is not a movie for every movie fan, or even for fans of Colin Farrell.
That said, once again I am intrigued and impressed by how good Colin Farrell is at what he does - acting/performing. As I said in a previous review of another movie, he has, for me, a truly beautiful voice and that makes listening to the narration (or poetry reading as another reviewer called it) which covers most of the movie, easy. His Irish accent, which is more prominent in this movie than some of the others I've watched, had me rewind scenes a couple of times. Having lived in America for the last eleven years, my ears are no longer as good or quick with translating Irish and Scottish accents into understandable English, so I will re-watch this movie a couple of times to get back into that translation groove.
The facial expression and actions of the characters throughout must be watched as that forms the basis of most of the storyline. Here both Colin Farrell, and the newly introduced actress, Q'orianka Kilcher, played excellently. This applies to most all the other actors in them movie. Christian Bale is still a gorgeous guy, and good actor, fitting well into the role of the English gentleman.
It is a slow movie, granted, and there were times when I wished some of the scenery shots were cut, such as the first tour up the river, but when you think about it, it is during those that a lot of story is spoken/told.
All in all I enjoyed the movie, but recommend it only to those who can sit quietly for about two and a half hours and enjoy walking through a historic tale, told slowly, and brought to life on the big screen with a lot of scenery shots, skimpy in the way of character dialog - long stretches of no dialog or narration, a story told through body language and emotion, with gestures and expressions taking the place of dialog.
It is a good quality movie, with good performances by the actors, but definitely not for everyone. 』
(high-def, standerd-def the movie sucks) 『I got the extended cut blue ray edition and other than how good nature looked and sounded on my tv, the whole movie truly put me to sleep every time I started to watch a part of it. It took me two weeks to finish the movie that how boring it was. No wonder it was an absolute failure in the box office, and collin ferral sucked just as much as the movie.』
(A True Malick Picture) 『First, this Blu-Ray version is a beautiful transfer, visually. It's stunning to look at. Malick is such a visual storyteller ("Thin Red Line") that you can sustain this movie on the images alone. He's not a great traditional storyteller, so the movie will drag for many people. Plus, Colin Farrell simply lacts the emotional depth, and range, to carry a film on his own -- especially one in which he's supposed to show leadership as Capt. John Smith.
Still, the movie is an experience to enjoy. I was slightly disappointed by the sound (not enough rear speaker action), but the sound was very well balanced.』 『The legend of Pocahontas and John Smith receives a luminous and essential retelling by maverick filmmaker Terrence Malick. The facts of Virginia's first white settlers, circa 1607, have been told for eons and fortified by Disney's animated films: explorer Smith (Colin Farrell) and the Native American princess (newcomer Q'orianka Kilcher) bond when the two cultures meet, a flashpoint of curiosity and war lapping interchangeably at the shores of the new continent. Malick, who took a twenty year break between his second and third films (Days of HeavenandThe Thin Red Line), is a master of film poetry; the film washes over you, with minimal dialogue (you see characters speak on camera for less than a quarter of the film). The rest of the words are a stream-of-consciousness narration--a technique Malick has used before but never to such degree, creating a movie you feel more than watch. The film's beauty (shot in Virginia by Emmanuel Lubezki) and production design (by Jack Fisk) seems very organic, and in fact, organic is a great label for the movie as a whole, from the dreadful conditions of early Jamestown (it makes you wonder why Englishman would want to live there) to the luminescent love story. Malick is blessed with a cast that includes Wes Studi, August Schellenberg, Christopher Plummer, and Christian Bale (who, curiously, was also in the Disney production). Fourteen-year-old Kilcher, the soul of the film, is an amazing find, and Farrell, so often tagged as the next big thing, delivers his first exceptional performance since his stunning debut inTigerland. James Horner provides a fine score, but is overshadowed by a Mozart concerto and a recurring prelude from Wagner'sDas Rheingold, a scrumptious weaving of horns fit to fuel the gentle intoxication of this film. Note: the film was initially 150 minutes, and then trimmed to 135 by Malick before the regular theatrical run. It was also the first film shot in 65mm since Kenneth Branagh'sHamlet.--Doug Thomas』 『Studio: New Line Home Video Release Date: 09/08/2009 Run time: 171 minutes Rating: Pg13』

Core2Duoノートレビュー 's review (great clipper) 『I simply love it. My wife used to cut my hair with the cheap, generic clipper we got from department stores, and it kept pulling on my hair. This Oster Classic 76 clipper, however, cuts through the hair crisply. No more hair pulling.』
(A beast) 『This thing cuts through my beard like butter. I have gone through tons of those 20-30 dollar wal-mart buzzers. This one works better, it feels like it will last forever.』
(Save Your Money!) 『For $114 I would have expected something better than this. These clippers, after 2 uses, now literally RIP the hair out of the side of my head when attempting to use them for a haircut. I've read the manual, keep the blades well oiled, and done everything else I can think of to adjust them.
Apparently scientists haven't yet figured out how to manufacture a good set of working clippers...these Osters get a big fat "F" rating from me. Buyer beware!』
(Great Clipper) 『This clipper classic 76 is not new to me, I'v used them before and have confidence in clippers and Oster company. Most of all, Amazon made it so easy to acquire the clipper, better than any other sites. They were very fast in encouraging me to buy from them and at a very reasonable price. I wish more companies were like this. Thank you, JAG』
(Fantastic hair clipper) 『My husband likes to wear his hair in a "buzz" cut, just like those given to new military recruits. For several years, I cut his hair with a "Vidal Sassoon" clipper purchased at Wal-Mart. I hated it. Not only was it so loud that we both had to wear ear plugs, it didn't cut well, pulling his hair and leaving sprigs and gaps behind. It sometimes took up to an hour to finish cutting his hair, and even then I had to cut stragglers with scissors. This Oster clipper, which I believe is used by military barbers, is a marvel. It zips through my husband's hair like the proverbial hot knife through butter. We're all done in little more than 5 minutes. It has some heft to it, but it cuts so quickly that the weight is not a problem. And it's much less noisy. No more ear plugs required :) It cost about twice what we paid for the Sassoon clipper, but it's well worth it.』

(So Much Better Than Food Coloring) 『This is so much better than food coloring. It only takes a very small amount to ad color to icing, cake batter, and cookie dough. Some colors (especially red and black)when you are trying to get the deep rich color may leave a little after taste. Try adding some alcohol based extracts (alcohol based extracts will not thin your icing like some artificial products will). When trying to get the true black color, try starting with chocolate icing then ad the black color. It requires less coloring thus less after taste. These are the only 2 colors that I had a problem with after taste. This product is great and I will continue to reorder this product.』

I have been using an MX610 Laser Mouse for most of this time as it had about 9 buttons and was fully programmable. Had they kept manufacturing it, I probably would have stuck with it (that they discontinued this mouse and rereleased it as a lefty is just salt in the wound). Well, my MX 610s were falling apart and I needed a replacement badly - something up to date that I could buy and keep buying (given that I am hard on mice/keyboard/etc)!
BUT WHY IS IT THAT EVERY FREAGGIN GAMING MOUSE ONLY IS MADE FOR ACCURACY, SPEED, COMFORT, ETC!?!?!?! That's all well and good, but any real PC gamer is going to want a gazillion buttons too - especially for MMO's. What is the point of making these awesome mice with only 4 or 5 buttons?
So walking out of the store I see this thing yesterday and about crapped my pants. Look at all those buttons - and it works exactly like you think it should! I am so happy with this thing! I've never felt a mouse move so smooth and it is so accurate - and futher fine tuned through software. I can't say enough good things about it - worth every stinking penny.
Got some gripes though: Customization - I guess it was too much to be able to fully program this thing. You have your choice of two modes:
A) Keyboard mode where the 1-12 buttons map to your keyboard 1 through "="
or
B) num-pad mode where these buttons map to the keypad 1-0, -, +.
No, you can't just map whatever keys you want to it. Not that it matters, because you can easily map your number keys AND your num-pad keys separately in WoW. It'd be nice though...
Size - It's a tad smaller than the mice I'm used to. Then again, I have BIG hands. I wish it was just a little bit bigger or that the buttons were a little more spaced apart. I suppose it's perfect if you can't palm a basketball (like me, lol). Don't get me wrong either. Even though it's a little small for my hands, it still fits comfortably - these guys KNOW what they're doing!
No Tilt - I'm just nit-picking here, because you really don't need the extra tilt buttons. It has TOO many buttons as it is, lol.
Final Thoughts: If you are like me and you got a Nostromo on one hand and have all 3 modes mapped out (or have just about every key bound on your keyboard), then this is the mouse compliment you have been looking for. Finally someone figured it out! 』
(Overall i got what I paid for.) 『It's worth the money. If you want serious response time for gaming this is the mouse to get.』
(Simply Amazing) 『Im gona keep this short and simple
Pros- Very Durable Not a Cheaply made mouse Feels looks and performs great
Cons- For me just the last 3 buttons are very hard to access while moving the mouse and trying to push them』
(Lies about addon's.) 『On the box and in the product description, this mouse claims to have addons for "World of WarcraftTM and Warhammer Online: Age of ReckoningTM, and more".
Turns out "and more" is nothing more than a lie. There is no other addons for any games except these two. When asking their customer support about this, they dodged the question but replied with "There are no further addons scheduled at this time." Yeah? Then take it out of your product description.
Another thing to note, there are two buttons on top of it to the left of the standard left-click. If you click the front most one more often than 5 seconds, it will also do the second ones command. I look awfully silly jumping up and down every time I go to select an enemy.
Wait until the product gets the software it advertises, and fixes the hardware defects.』
(Needs better drivers, Half comfortable buttons) 『This works as a mouse and USB HID keyboard. The 12 buttons are seen as keys. I could not change it with the drivers. It may be possible with custom drivers.
The back and forward buttons next to the left button are uncomfortable. They don't click like mouse buttons. They are on the edge of the mouse. I have to press them with the right half of my index finger or I'll click the left button accidentally or it feels like I could twist my finger off.
Buttons 1-2&4-5 are usable, 3&6 are high. I don't use 7-12 since I'm not as precise with my thumb joint. If you press and hold multiple buttons, they repeat like 125612561256125612561256...』 『Razer Naga -Full Retail NASA』

Antec
Usually ships in 24 hours Core2Duoノートレビュー 's review (Antec Cooler) 『This cooler is the best cooler I ever had. I used targus and another brand before, but they both broke in about a year and they were not doing a good job cooling my laptop. The antec cooler does a great job in terms of cooling. It sucks the hot air in, so that the aluminum top does not get all hot and warm up my computer (like the other coolers did). The temperature of my computer has never been better. I don't know how durable it is, because I only have it for a month, but even if it breaks I am still going to buy the same brand. In terms of noise, it is a bit noisier than the previous coolers, but that's because of the suction, I guess. All in all it is a great cooler.』
(Great product) 『Purchased this for my MSI GX630 gaming laptop. Works perfectly right out of the box - just plug and play. My laptop is already REALLY quiet, but this thing flies under the radar even more. I like the blue LED and the fan speed settings, and the cooling quality is good. The only thing that it lacks is an on/off switch, which is no big deal since I leave my laptop running overnight most of the time anyways. Overall great buy!』
(Pretty Good) 『Laptop was overheating causing unexpected shut down. This fan has kept the laptop cool enough to stay on and not shut down. Try different seating arrangements for you laptop on the fan.』
(Bad design, terrible for big laptops, broke quickly) 『I'll keep this short and bitter. I have a 17" laptop (Gateway 7811) that I play games on. Wanted something not too bulky to sit between the laptop and my lap and provide some additional cooling.
This thing is a little too small for a laptop of this size but doesn't do too badly. The #1 main issue is the terrible USB plug design. The power plug piece broke due to cord placement. Overall, when working, it provided a very small amount of cooling (about 4-5 degrees according to speedfan). The inability to turn off the super bright blue LED, the cord storage panel on the bottom popping off frequently, and the overall cheap quality of design/materials all contributed to me hating this thing. But the terrible USB power plug design was really the main issue. That plug will snap or break, it's only a matter of time.』
(Antec does the job) 『After over a month, I am very satisfied with the Antec Cooler and would order it again. Durability is still an open question, but at this price, I would be very happy to get two years out of it.
PROS Fairly priced Relatively quiet Light weight Effective cooling with my Macbook Pro 15" Well-designed to carry around with laptop Pass-through design of USB plug frees up port
CONS "On" light is a laser-like blue LED from hell』 『Keep your cool or, rather, notebook's cool. Overheating laptops are a bigger problem than most people realize, as heat reduces system stability and harms the lifespan of your electronics. To combat this problem, you need the Antec Notebook Cooler! Increasing the cooling your laptop gets can help it last longer, and may reduce or even eliminate system crashes. Perfect for all netbooks and notebooks that have an available USB port. Antec is a leading producer of desktop parts including cooling systems. This Antec 75004 Notebook Cooler is a dependable extension of their line. So keep you and your notebook cool.』

(Perfect upgrade from the Intuos3) 『I've been using the Intuos3 tablets at my school for awhile now and have loved the ease of use and precise movement of the cursor. I was debating over buying a used Intuos3 or getting a new Intuos4 and I'm so happy I went with this tablet. Not only does it do everything the Intuos3 did, but it has a greater degree of customization, smoother movement, and a wider range of touch sensitivity. If you're looking for a tablet for artistic work, I've yet to use a better line than the Intuos and this version is nearly perfect.』
(Great Item) 『The price is nothing compared to the convenience and accuracy that this item offers. Go for it, you won't be disappointed.』
(Best from Wacom thus far, but nib wears down too fast) 『Before owning the Intuous 4 Medium, I had the Intuous 3 9 x 12, I found that the larger tablets required me to do extra unnecessary work and was a burden carrying the large thing around in a separate case because it does not fit in a laptop bag, nor a backpack. The Intuous 4 Medium is a great size, slightly longer than a 15" Macbook Pro. A great new feature is the Precision Quick key, allows you to zoom in on a smaller portion of the tablet to draw very fine details. My only complaint is I found that the new black, standard nib wears down very quickly as compared to the standard white nib from Intuous 3. If I could use the same nib from Intuous 3 on Intuous 4, I would say I have absolutely no complaints. Besides the nib, it was definitely the best purchase I've made in a long time.』
(Worth every penny.) 『Wow! I have been drawing using traditional materials since grade school and have been creating cg art sine the late eighties but have not used a tablet to draw directly into the computer before now. The experience has been great. After an hour or two of adjusting to drawing in one location and seeing the result in another I could completly forget about the tablet as a seperate piece of equipment and just draw. Different software is capable of using different features of the tablet and depending on the resolution and color depth of your image you may notice a bit of lag between the tablet and the work but with the right settings you can sketch and draw as fast as your hand can go. I wish I'd sprung for one of these years ago.』 『Professional photographers, designers and artists agree: Intuos4 pen tablet speeds up production time for photo editing, design and art creation. When working with digital assets, there isn't a more natural tool than a pen for increased comfort and control. With 48.5 square inches of working area, this tablet provides ample workspace. Built with eight ExpressKeys and illuminated ExpressKey displays that provide easy reference to your assigned functions. Featuring Wacom's new tip sensor technology to deliver an even finer level of control. You can initiate pen pressure control with near-zero starting pressure and a feather-light touch. Canon Cameras US
Usually ships in 24 hours Core2Duoノートレビュー 's review (Much better than not having one, but...) 『I decided to purchase the Canon wireless remote to use in conjunction with my Canon Rebel XSi because I have always had trouble taking self-portraits, and I did not want to have to run into place to get the shot I wanted. I also figured that with a wireless remote, it would be easier to hide the remote when taking the photo. Since I don't want the remote to show up, I usually put the switch on the 2-second delay, so I have time to put it away.
With the remote, it is definitely making it much easier for me to take self-portraits. The remote is easy to use, because all you really need to do is press a button. The one downside that I am finding is that my remote does not always take the photo when I press the button. I am not sure if this is a problem with the range or perhaps this is a problem with not holding the remote directly in line with the sensor.』
(simple and works) 『This item is a good add-on to my canon DSLR. It is compact, simple and works well. The only problem is this remote control seems not very sensitive. You have to point it straight to your camera accurately, or it won't work.』
(Works fine with Digital Rebel XTi / 400D) 『The remote control is easy to use and works with my Digital Rebel XTi (same as 400D sold in Europe). Just set camera to "Self-timer / Remote control" (second button from the top on the right side of the display). The shutter can than be remote controlled. Of course the auto focus works also when using the remote control!』
(Excellent product - nice surprise) 『I was a little apprehensive about this product as they didn't have it at high street shops (Wolf/Ritz). I was very pleasantly surprised as this does exactly what I needed without any extra nonsense. I wanted to take shots of my family including myself; my baby tends to screw up timed shots so I can needed a wireless remote and this does the job very nicely.』
(Small and functional) 『The Canon Remote Control is amazing for the price. Works just like I expected for a fraction of what I expected to pay.』 『This miniature infrared transmitter operates at ranges of up to 5 m / 16.4 ft., and may be set for either instant shutter release or 2-second delay. The RC-1 may also be used to activate mirror-lock and bulb-shutter functions.』 『The Canon RC-1 remote control makes taking group photos easy by allowing you to take pictures away from the camera. The RC-1 allows the selection of either a 2-second shutter delay or instant shutter release. Compatible with the Canon EOS Elan II/Elan IIe, EOS Elan, EOS 10S, and EOS IX.』

Usually ships in 24 hours Core2Duoノートレビュー 's review (A must for Canon 5D Mark II) 『The battery runs well. I used it as a spare one for backup. The price (from retail stores) dropped from $90 to $60 in the past 6 months, but still a bit expensive. Hope it can last longer than any other Canon batteries. In general, it is a excellent product.』
(Functional, but Overpriced) 『A great battery so far, but we need to see how long it lasts. It would have to last for 10 years to justify the price, however. Overpriced like all Canon batteries, and even more so!』
(Battery reporting is first rate) 『Obviously this works nicely as a battery, but what is so interesting about it is the reporting that the battery makes through the camera. It's easy enough to implement, but a really nice professional touch that it is done. Not just the battery level, but also the number of shutter actuations since the battery was installed. Makes it easy to keep track of battery life and images shot. With a pair of batteries (grip) one can get about 3000 (!!!) RAW shots before the batteries are down to the point where you'd like to charge them. Not to empty!』
(Canon LP-E6 Battery for Canon 5D Mark II) 『Great price compared to Canon's price for the same battery. The great thing is that the battery was shipped Priority mail via the USPS, and normally I loathe shipping by them but this shipment came in a couple of days, rather than the 5-7 etc of normal ground shipping』
(Exactly what you would expect from a battery) 『I bought an extra battery for my new 7D because I bought a battery grip but I may have thought more about it since the grip can use AA batteries. If I bought some rechargeable batteries I would have saved alot of money.』 『compatible with select Canon digital SLR cameras * rated at 7.2V, 1800mAh * no "memory effect" -- may be partially charged without reducing battery capacity * compatible with Canon LC-E6 battery charger *』

Toshiba
Usually ships in 24 hours Core2Duoノートレビュー 's review (A great product!!) 『I really like this product Toshiba 500 GB USB. It helps me to organize my huge files I used to save on my desktop. It works very well. I would strongly recommend this brand if you are looking for a portable hard drive for your files.』
(I like it) 『I really like how small it is, and that it doesn't need a separate power cord. The only think I don't like, is it tries to back up my hard drive every time I plug it in.... which could be a setting I haven't tried to find.
It's fast, quite and I haven't had it long, but so far so good. 』
(Nice External Drive) 『Looks nice. Easy plug and play. Software, a little less than awesome. Alignment on screen is off center and leads to a lack of comfidence, but it is working pretty good for manual and automatic backups. Not very much space lost to software, or operating system.』
(It's portable, cheap, easy to install-no probs so far.) 『I did a little research for external hard drives and was originally going to go with one that you had to plug in thats was a litle cheaper but after reading online reviews i decided to go ahead and get this portable toshiba one. I know it does not have the name like seagate or western digital but it works great. It was simple to instal-just plug and play. You can drag items from you hard drive and they transfer very easily. I would definitely recommend it.』
(review of Toshiba external hard drive) 『I have had the Toshiba external hard drive for a few weeks now. I still am not sure if I know how to use it. There were no instructions that came with the product, although I learned from an online question that by clicking on a spot on the screen (after plugging in the hard drive) I could find the directions. This is not the best way, at least for me. So I think this will work for me but I'm still not certain about how to use it: leave it plugged in all the time, and draw out and use up more energy, or plug it in only when I want to back up my internal hard drives. Fortunately, I have family members who will help me with this.』 『Toshiba's range of portable external hard drives epitomizes its belief in enhancing yet simplifying our lifestyle: artlessly remove the external hard drive from the package and just "plug and play."As the Toshiba Portable External Hard Drive was designed to be placed on the desk or taken on the go, careful attention was invested in the overall aesthetic and technology. To the touch, the sleek and highly glossed ergonomic design fits neatly in the palms of the hands or can be slipped smoothly into the pockets or even in the small internal sleeve of a briefcase. An anti-slip underside ensures that that the external hard drive stays fixated to all surfaces but can be easily and quickly removed. Last but not least, Toshiba's shock protection and ramp load technology helps protect your drive from unexpected rough handling.』

Core2Duoノートレビュー 's review (Nice bag...good quality.) 『I got this when I purchased 2 duffle bags....I had a coupon and ended up getting these basically for free. They are good quality, nice bags. But the fact that there's no compartments or anything makes them not really serve much of a purpose for us. They are good to just throw things in and go I guess. The Adidas brand cannot be beat though.』
(Adidas drawstring backpack) 『I bought this for my nephew. He wanted to use it for a school backpack. It isn't strong enough to carry books, and is coming apart. I'm sure it would make a nice gym bag as the load would be lighter.』 『The go-anywhere Elite pack from adidas is the sportiest way to carry around what you need.
