The pitch control is a smooth, quartz-locked, nonclick slider with continuous pitch adjustment, and you can instantly reset the pitch to zero at the touch of a button. You can also adjust the braking speed to make the SL-1210MK5 stop as quickly or slowly as you need, and the high-torque motor makes for quick start-ups (0.07 seconds from stop to full speed). Other features include an LED stylus light that lasts longer than previous models, and a recessed power switch to avoid accidentally turning the turntable on or off.

Using the included recording software, no special drivers are needed to connect PT-01USB to any Mac or PC via USB and transfer music from vinyl to hard disk. EZ Vinyl Converter 2 (PC) and EZ Audio Converter (Mac) software are included to make recording and importing audio simple. EZ Vinyl Converter 2 imports your songs directly into your iTunes library, automatically separating tracks, and free, downloadable upgrade includes Gracenote® MusicID, which can even automatically name your tracks. PT-01USB also comes with Audacity software for editing your tracks. Audacity also helps reduce clicks, pops, and other noises from your recordings to restore the full quality of your vinyl.

PT-01USB has an RCA line input so you can connect other sound sources such as tape decks and convert them to digital files too! RCA line outputs enable connection to your DJ system or home stereo so you can use PT-01USB as a standard record-player. In addition to the internal speaker and RCA outputs, you can also listen with headphones.

With 33, 45, and 78 RPM speeds, PT-01USB works with your entire record collection. There's even a±10% pitch control to help you optimize your tracks for whatever need you have.

The iTTUSB also offers a few hardware extras, such as an adjustable anti-skating control for increased stereo balancing, an adjustable pitch control (+/- 8 percent), and support for high-speed vinyl recording. And thanks to the line-level outputs, you can connect to any home stereo with CD or auxiliary (AUX) inputs--no phono inputs required. The turntable comes with a cartridge and stylus, 45 adapter, and USB cable and is compatible with PCs running Windows 98, 2000, or XP and Macs running OS 9 or greater. All computers must also have at least one available USB 1.1 port.
