I have used Estee Lauder for many years but the look was always a little to "heavy" for me. I decided to try Smashbox and I now love it. This foundation is much lighter and when used with the primer the look is fresh and clean. My face no longer gets oily and shiny during the day so I don't have to constantly apply face powder to get rid of that ugly shine. This is a great product.』

I use this with the primer and finish with the Halo Powder which leaves my skin looking airbrushed and beautiful. I have tried so many products and this one is without a doubt the best. Be careful how much you put on, as you control the amount of coverage, sometimes more is less. I am so glad to leave my mineral foundation behind as it filled in any fine lines on my face and made me look old. (Disappointed) 『I tried Smashbox High Definition Foundation after being extremely happy with their awesome under foundation primer, which I highly recommend ( the Primer Only ).
This foundation feels light at first but get's quite heavy feeling and greasy in the t line of your face after a few hours. It does not stay put because of that :( Also wore it for a wedding a couple of weeks ago, were I danced a bit but not to the point were the foundation should have blotched but IT DID and my face felt yucky and dirty because of it :(
Now, I have not tried it in winter, it just might be great for the cooler month of the year but just don't go clubbing or anything that would make you sweat when wearing it.
I gave this product 2 stars for the look and feel it provides right after application and because I haven't tried it in the cooler month.
Here is how I applied it and the immediate result.
I used a application brush (and after not being happy tried a damp application sponge) to apply the foundation over Smashbox primer. Right after application and some blending the skin looks fabulous / smooth, poor less with a nice radiant glow. It feels light and like it would stay put. But remember that's only right after application and will not provide that same look after a few hours :(

(Healthy Looking Skin!) 『I switched to this foundation when my skin became too dry for my usual mineral foundation. I was dreading going back to a liquid foundation because I hate the feeling of makeup on my face. I came across this product at Sephora and it is by far the best liquid foundation I have ever owned. My skin feels perfect (not too dry, not oily!) and the coverage is fabulous. It doesn't even feel like I am wearing makeup. Skin looks fresh and natural - color matches perfectly, no lines on my face/neck! Hasn't made my sensitive, acne prone skin breakout once.』

The color is good - no visible lines in different light, etc. However, I really don't see much difference between this product and the L'Oreal Visible Lift foundation I was using before I purchased this. This is not so much a knock to Smashbox as it is a compliment to L'Loreal. Core2Duoノートレビュー 's review (Great for Full yet Natural Looking Coverage) 『Ive spent years trying different brands of foundation in every price range, and while Ive certainly gotten closer Ive never really found the right shade. My complexion has strong yellow undertones and areas of hyperpigmentation from both sun exposure and teenage acne. Did I mention the dark circles under my eyes?
I first tried Smashbox's High Definition Foundation L3-L4, which turned out to be a perfect match for my skin tone. I was thrilled with this, but unfortunately it didnt provide the full coverage that I was looking for. So I went to the next level of coverage which is the Camera Ready Full Coverage Foundation.
This is a cream foundation with a smooth consistency that does not feel greasy. It's easy to apply with fingetips and/or sponge, and provides natural looking full coverage which can be built on without making it look any less natural. I do have very dry skin and before I apply this foundation its important to moisturize well and use some type of primer to prevent the foundation from settling into the creases on my face(which sounds worse than it really is). This is by no means a deal breaker because its easy to prevent with careful application. I would highly recommend that anyone with olive/sallow skin at least give this brand a try.
Something to think about if youre buying online:
In my opinion the color names are somewhat misleading. I have very olive skin, dark brown hair, and the color that I use is Light L3-L4, whereas if I were to go from experience Im usually at least in the medium range.
REASONS FOR NOT GIVING 5 STARS:
1. Expensive at $38 for only 0.34oz.
2. The enclosed brush is an odd, not a very practical choice for cream foundation, and I have yet to use it. It is a nice little brush though, so it makes me wonder how much it inflated the cost of final product
Overall a thumbs up except for the few things I mentioned. 』

I thought I had been lucky so far because the one can I got did not clog, but didn't want to take my chance wasting money on another, just incase. This product is awful!! I don't understand at all how anyone could rate it 5 stars. I would give it a 0 if I could. 1st of all, it dries so fast that you cannot spread it out evenly. 2nd, when I mixed it with lotion or put lotion on 1st, then the coverage wasn't good - and - it was still hard to blend evenly anyway. What a total waste of money too; I could have bought two cans of the Sally Hanson for the price of this horrible stuff. For these people that gave it 5 stars - I still don't understand, unless their legs are like oil slicks and that's how they're able to spread it nice and even.』

The first time I waxed my bikini line I tried using the small strips that I use for my eyebrows. What a nightmare! It is much easier to cut the strips to size, plus you can cover more area, which results in less pain. I am very happy that I didn't buy the kit and bought everything individually.
