『This is a wonderful game to play for even just two players. The game rules that allow you to rearrange letters whenever you want, as well as spell words backwards, forwards&on a diagonal make for a lot of fun and challenge. Nice travel game too.』

『"Bananagrams" is a fabulous game! It's a lot of fun while being highly educational.
It's suitable for kids who can spell, +- 8 yrs old, right through to the elderly. I've played the game with up to 8 players, but it can even be played as Solitaire.
Apart from the obvious benefits of any word game, it also utilizes the arts of quick thinking, strategy, flexibility AND organization.

I am 67 and bought "Bananagrams" after watching a group of very intelligent high school kids playing the game. They even let me play once... Couldn't wait for mine to arrive; thank goodness it didn't take long!

Another major advantage of Bananagrams is that it comes in a small zippered pouch, so is totally portable. What a great game for vacations!

I cannot recommend it highly enough!

『This is really perfect to get for your baby at a younger age than my 10 1/2 month old twins. But since it wasn't expensive and both of my babies could use it, I decided better late than never. They still put everything in their mouths and drool, so it's still great for them.

This is a teether that is good for handling. My babies pick it up and handle it more than the other teethers, and it's rubber unlike all their other teethers. I put this one on top of other toys and it gives them something to do, moving this giraffe around, carrying it around while they crawl, and always putting in their mouths.

Vulli (the giraffe's name) is fairly big. There's a lot for a baby to work with for teether purposes. I think this toy is worth the price, and it appears so far to be indestructible.』

『We've got pretty much all of the accesories for the Zhu Zhu pets. The wheel actually does not move freely very well but the hamster will go down the tunnel get on the wheel and run in place then back down the tunnel. At first I was very dissappointed that the wheel wasn't really spinning (it does move but spinning is a stretch) but my 4 year old didn't seem bothered by it. now I actually kind of prefer this one because it's one that actually keeps the hamster contained in the funhouse. The slide lets the hamster out onto the floor as does the car and garage which is fine if you have a very large area for the whole set but the hamster runs better in the plastic pieces. As for durability the slide and garage are constantly coming detached (the 2 year old tends to knock them around) but this one has stayed attached pretty good, maybe because the tunnel is shorter than others. If you're not familiar with these you should know the accessories are snap together pieces - the plastic isn't flimsy but the fact that they just 'snap' together means they also snap apart rather easily. So while the accessories are constantly coming apart or detached they aren't breaking (which is good) but my 4 year old can't really snap them back together on his own so it's more work for me.』

『I looked on youtube and saw that the wheel was working for the families that were on there. It looked cute and real so I got one for my daughter. I set it up as the directions told me to. The wheel never spun freely. The hamster will get in the wheel, get stuck, and back its way out of it. Complete disappointment to me but most importantly a disappointment to my 4 year old. The car and garage has some issues too but still works somewhat. The wheel doesn't not work at all for us. So if you purchase this product its sort of like playing the lottery. If it works you're one of the lucky ones. If it doesn't, you're stuck with a piece of crap.』

『The first time we played this game with my 7 and 10 year old daughter they didn't like it and were easily distracted. We played it the next day and they really thought it was fun. The math from adding who was winning was easy for each girl and after everyone had a couple of turns we stopped and had the kids add up who was ahead. You definitely need an adult to explain it the first few times but after that they get the idea. I like where it takes them and would recommend it to other families.』

(Simple to Learn, Crazy Complex to Master)

『This game is incredibly simple to learn. But the dynamics of play make it a game with awesome replay value. Every time my group plays this game we find new and interesting levels of strategy. The concepts of blocking moves, counting tiles, gambits, timing, etc are all things that develop over time.

The set we purchased was well made. A few of the blocks did have chips, but that was easily fixed with the touch of a black marker. We also found the gloss finish of the blocks to be a bit distracting, but a light coat of Testers Matte finish spray paint did the trick. The only ongoing problem we've had is the color proximity of the orange and red blocks is difficult to see under dim lighting.

『I ordered this game because it just "sounded" like it might be fun. Often I will buy a game and it will not live up to expectations. But, not in this case! This game is fun and simple to learn. You create lines (six tiles in a row) that are all of the same color with different symbols, or all the same symbol of different colors! Simple enough, but when you begin to play, you start to realize that you can create more than one line by placing a tile in the correct place. Of course you get points for each tile placed and if you complete a line, you get an additional 6 points (called a Qwirkle) for each line completed. You begin to see that by playing a fifth tile in a line you may set up your opponent to play the sixth tile and score a Qwirkle. There are three of each tile in the game and I found myself scanning the board to see what was played so that I could make decisions on how to play my pieces. The tiles are placed just like scrabble horizontal and verticle.
I would recommend this game for anyone who plays dominoes, scrabble or any strategic tile game. Love it! The only addition I would make (this is by no means a complaint) would be to add a game version where the tiles are made of a more durable item, much like modern dominoes (ivory plastic type) or perhaps metal tiles. I would buy that version just for a "collector" value. I have several chess sets just because I love the boards and pieces, same thought here... NOW, GO GET THE GAME!』

『I have 3 boys, ages- 5,9 and 9. It was very easy/quick to learn for all of them, and they love it-- great family game. The only negative is the weight of the game. I thought we would be able to bring it w/ us on trips- the pieces are solid wood (durable- but too heavy for travel!!)

『I bought this toy for my grandson this coming Christmas. Although he hasn't seen it, yet, I know my rough-and-tumble boy is going to love it. Of course, I had to check it out! Typical of everything I've seen from Playskool, this truck is tough and is going to stand up to a lot of play. The voice is clear and easy to understand. The moment he speaks to it, and it drives, it will become an instant best friend and favorite playmate for this only child. The truck's soft nose means it won't wreck any furniture (or sleeping animals), and it's not obnoxiously loud like many toys. (This toy might be a life-changing device)

『If you know the premise of the toy, skip to the second paragraph. This toy takes a measure of brain activity in the left frontal lobe and, based on the amount of activity there, sends power to a fan (high power when high; low or off when low). This raises a foam ball in the air and a dial can be turned with the hands to move the ball through an obstacle course that arrange with detachable pieces.

I read the other reviews. They make some good points. This toy could get boring fast. The headset does get uncomfortable after about 10 minutes. The guy who said that all it does is measure stress is way off-base. He is right that the ear clips are used to complete a circuit, but that is not all this toy does. After playing it for awhile, I can say it responds negatively to stress (i.e., the ball lowers and the fan turns off). I'm basing that off of the fact the fan tended to turn off when I would get worried about it turning off. If it was responding to stress, the power should have increased.

So why am I recommending this toy? Because studies have shown that if you can increase frontal lobe activity through exercises like this, you can increase objective measures of concentration (e.g., amount of time engaged with a task) and decrease measures of impulsivity. And not just for the task where the skill was trained. So a child who got adept at playing this game should also pay better attention in school, likely increase their reading comprehension, do better on homework, etc.

My recommendation is that, if this is something that is interesting to you, you buy this toy for your child and that you play it with them. Set performance goals with them and give them some sort of reward for meeting and exceeding those goals. Start small. At first, get a stopwatch and see how long they can keep the ball in the air. After that, see if they can start to raise and lower the ball a couple of times, then see how many times they can pass it through one of the hoops. And take data the whole time. Chart their data in some way so they can see the progress they are making.

But get this toy!!! In labs where they do this sort of therapy, children with ADHD have shown serious improvement in functioning. Some kids are able to get off meds altogether.

If you want to do a little extra research before purchasing, go to wikipedia and search neurofeedback. There's a good synopsis there with links to some peer-reviewed research at the bottom.

Design a Mind-Bending Obstacle Course
A variety of hoops, hurdles, funnels, and a teeter-totter can be positioned however you choose on the game console. Players use their minds to move the ball under, over, or through the obstacles. Several games test speed, while another challenges players to lift a ball up and through a funnel, shooting it across the game console to score points.

Chuck My Talking Truck has plenty of things to say and places to go. His 40 plus phrases and sounds make each playtime a new adventure for your toddler. When your child calls Chuck from across the room the fun-loving dump truck starts up right up and chugs his way over to your child. His cartoonish features are silly, fun, and inviting, and with four different touch sensors he starts up easily for younger children still improving their eye-and-hand coordination.

Though Chuck does come when called, be careful to use him away from the television or radio. His sensors may get confused with extra voices, causing him to keep driving when he hasn't been directly spoken to.
