My 4 year old nephew was extremely excited about this product and bengan playing with it right away. I like this product line and it keeps him entertained during road trips etc. Highly recommended.
I purchased the Cars Leapster Game for my 6-8 year old children as a gift. I now see that I should have purchased 2 of them becasue it has become their favorite out of all the games they already have. They love the graphics and the sounds.
I bought this game for my daughter's 5th birthday. She loves the movie Cars and now she loves the game too. The characters and voices are just like the ones in the movie, which makes it entertaining as well as educational. She loves the racing games on it and it's so great that she is actually learning something while she's playing. I also have a 3-year-old daughter who likes to play around with this game on the Leapster too. She doesn't really know how to play the games yet, but she still enjoys the characters and is quite entertained by it as well. I would definitely recommend this game to anyone! If they love the movie, they will love this game!!
This cartridge kept my children's interest for quite a while. The funny thing is I never knew it included spelling games because they never played them. Guess they weren't interested in that part.

The games involve driving a car around -- the child gets to pick the course. Each course has different skills it works on. The setup is basically the same. The car must avoid road hazards while answering questions (by bumping the car with the correct answer, driving over the car with the answer or taking the turn in the road with the correct answer) to continue driving. The questions include things like filling in the missing number 1 _ 3 4 or filling in the missing letter to the word or which letter is the lower case "b" or answering which number is greater or less than another number.

There are two levels to choose from, so it can be played by kids from preschool through kindergarten. This game is a little too easy past kindergarten age but my son still enjoyed it in first grade.
My son has had this game for a year now and it is by far his favorite Leapster game. I enjoy playing it too. It has multiple levels, several different tracks and tons of learning packed in. You have so much fun playing you don't realize you are being educated at the same time!

Got my 6 year-old grand-son this helmet and gel pads. Helmet was great ... fit a little loose but covered all the parts.... and he loved it.

I bought this for my little brother and it's just boring. It's a piece of blue rubber that does not really suck anything up like the product description says. There is a very tiny blob of goo that dried up after 2 days even though it was sealed in the container. It's just another toy that no one took time to be creative with because they were rushing to get it on shelves.
I bought this for my 3 year old who loved the movie. He loved this toy. He makes him eat up everything he can find. It is pretty neat!
I don't think Bob is worth the price that I paid for him, but my son is happy with him. The slime on the other hand is the issue. I now have a small green circle on my new blue carpet because I was not notified in time, by my 4 1/2 year old, that it was "smooshed" into the carpet. The slime also picks up any carpet fibers, lint and other mess that hasn't been vacuumed up. Since the circle incident, the slime has been hidden, but Bob is still jiggling. =>
its very fun except without the slime and by itself, its kinda boring, the slime stays together and doesnt ozooe all over the table. you can get this for a kid any age, but if you are getting for a kid 4 and below, take away the slime.

My fiance and I have enjoyed this game. It made a great change of pace from other card/board games we played. It's easy to learn, and there is a good bit of strategy. I will note that you have to work on compromise with this game, which is a good thing to practice.
The rules to the original card game were difficult to understand and didn't seem fun. When you add the wild cards and play the more modern version, it is just like skip-bo.
Was taught this classic card game by a 90-year-old friend who's been playing it all her life and taught all her twelve children . . . had a ball playing it with her and bought it for Christmas for several friends who also like playing card games! The bigger the group, the better the game, as things move faster. We even tweaked the rules and let everyone play at once - a whole new game!
Our family loves this game. We play it at my In-Laws, who have had it for years. We wanted one for our immediate family, but could not find it in stores. I was happy to find it on Amazon, and the children were thrilled to open it on Christmas.

Game play requires a good bit of strategy, but there's also luck in the order one draws cards. The combo makes it a fun game where everyone has a shot at winning.

This canopy is AWESOME!!!! It takes about 15 seconds to clip on your wagon and it's a must here in Arizona. Every time I go to the park or zoo I have it on the wagon and people are always commenting that they wish that they had one. This is a great product and worth every penny spent.
I was amazed at the quality of this product. It really holds onto the wagon during the windy days here in Chicago. Very sturdy.
We bought the Radio Flyer Pathfinder Wagon for our son for his first birthday. It was the best buy ever! The price was the best around and the wagon itself is absolutely great! I got the canopy to go along with it and I highly reccomend it also.
Good canopy. Although, it would be better of the canopy had more sturdy mounting hardware rather than the four clamps that came with the canopy. The canopy tends to shift back and forth if it is tugged on with minimal force. Otherwise, the canopy serves it's purpose. Offers good sunlight protection.
This is really great idea. However, as soon as we installed it, a cross bar snapped in half. Then a couple of weeks later one of the clamps snapped off. We are trying to find replacement parts with no luck so far.
The canopy doesn't provide shade unless the sun is directly above. Radio Flyer could have used a wider design that curved over to provide shad as sun rises and sets. Would not purchase again.

This clock is pretty much what I expected based on the great reviews. Our 5 1/2 year old is a very early riser. He reads and understands digital time, but I still think the different colored lights on this clock are more effective at keeping him in bed because it's easier for him to glance quickly at the clock and remember "green means go" than have to go through the thought process like "it's 6:47...does that mean I can get out of bed?"

We set the night light to turn green when it's OK for him to get out of bed and play quietly in his room. Half an hour after that, we set it to shut off, at which time he's allowed to come into our room and wake us up.

I'm puzzled by the comments that the night light is too bright. It's rather dim actually (in a good way) and doesn't illuminate much beyond the immediate vicinity in my son's largish room. In fact, it's much dimmer than my son's old nightlight, to the point where he was a little afraid of the darkness on the first night of use.
My friend told me about this gizmo. Once I mastered the instructions, my son fell into the groove and waits dutifully in the morning till his light turns green. I wish I had invented this! A must to curb those too-early risers!
Impossible to set-up...we followed the directions to a t and had no luck. We wound up returning it. We bought a cheapy digital clock and told our 3-year old that he isn't allowed out of his bed until the first number is a 6 or 7. So far, that has been working out.
As some of the other reviewers noted, the interface to control the changing from the nightlight to "green to get up" light could stand to be a little more intuitive (or possibly just explained better/differently in the setup instructions.) When I first set it, it took me several tires to get it right (I had set it up wrong, and it came on green at bedtime rather than that morning.) However, now that I have figured it out, it only takes a few seconds to alter the "wake up" time when necessary.

Based on some of the other reviews, I had expected it to be a bit larger and brighter, but it is about the size of a slow-pitch softball (or a decent-sized grapefruit) and I really don't think it is excessively bright. (There is a bright/dim setting, but in a dark room I found there wasn't a huge difference between the two.)

It has worked for us, as our three-year-old (who would often mistake streetlights at 3 a.m. for "Sun's Up!") now knows it is not appropriate to get up before she has the green light. (Of course, lately she runs into our bedroom at 7:15 a.m. to announce "Green light on!")

If anyone at American Innovative reads these reviews, I think that there is room for improvement in the product (like different settings for weekdays and weekends, perhaps brighter "green light," larger stature, reverse the polarity filter on the LCD face to make it predominantly dark with illuminated numbers and hands.) On the positive side, there are many things that this product beats the competition hands down (price, not character-based so it won't fall out of favor when Elmo, Dora etc. fall out of favor with the child, the interchangeable color face rings are also a nice touch and this product's teach-me features also give it room to grow with your kids.)

I would certainly make this purchase again, and likely will for other families of young children.
Overall, conceptually this is great, I have a 2.5 yr old and the turning green when it's time to get up is perfect, we have cut the number of early awakenings to zero. However, someone clearly let the industrial designer have too much control without thinking things through, the silly LEDs in the "feet" are so bright they can light the room (not helpful in getting him to sleep at night in the first place, it's almost daylight with them on). Luckily you can fix this with a Philips head screw driver, ~10 minutes and some black electrical tape (I taped over the LEDs on the feet circuit boards). With this modification, it's a great product.

I have to say, this is a cool helmet. The built in voice commands are great and the voice changer is nifty too. I love that it has an adjustable feature inside so as your child grows, you can adjust it to fit...it is not the generic "once size fits all."

On the downside, this was not the easiest thing to assemble and the microphone inside is a little low.

If you have a child who likes Clone Wars, this is a great buy. I know my boy will get hours of play out of this.

I bought this for my 9 year old son and he thinks it's pretty cool. A little bit fiddly with the way things snap together (and don't line up properly) and I agree with another review that it doesn't seem to change the voice much but overall my son enjoys it - mainly for the look. Hey, if the voice changer actually worked he wouldn't be able to find the thing, I'd be using it for conference calls. I think it's worth the money I paid for it and would purchase it again.
My grandson had been begging for this for Easter. It was a big disappointment. Too heavy, can't walk with it on. As far as the "voice changer" goes, that's a joke. It's just a static button that you use when you talk. It doesn't change your voice! I feel strongly that this is a false advertising issue. Huge, huge disappointment.
We purchased this helmet as a Christmas gift for our sons, ages 5 and 8. The voice changer did not work. We exchanged it without any difficulties and this second one works better. However, as other reviewers commented, it is not a high quality voice changer. We have another voice changer that works much better. Also, the helmet is very heavy and awkward to walk around in. Be aware of that if you intend to purchase this as a Halloween costume. All of that being said, it is a fun toy. They love to play with it.

Similarly, the microphone is adjustable, but it can still be stuck too far away from a small child's mouth. This means that the helmet has to be lifted by hand to speak through the microphone.

When it's positioned close enough to the wearer's face, the microphone does a good job amplifying statements and commands, as well as providing the static you'd expect from a clone. It's ability to truly modify and deepen a voice is less reliable, although this doesn't really detract from the fun. Overall, it's hard to beat a toy that encourages active, imaginative play the way this helmet does. Even adults who are loyal to the original trilogy are likely to enjoy slipping the Clone Trooper helmet on and taking part in the struggles of the Republic.

My son picked this out for a birthday present. He is 10 and loves it. Put it together immediately and plays with it alot. Plays with the motorcylce and car all the time. Worth the money.
My 7 and 9 year old boys put this together following the diagrams and have played with it every day since. It is a great set.

Although a bit pricey.. This is a n excellent toy. Children can lean to follow instructions, work with their hands and be creative. The younger age range for this toy will need some adult assistance but both will have fun. The structures can be rebuilt in various configurations. I would buy it again.

I am surprised that you categorize this as a toy. My thirteen year old daughter very much considers this a piece of jewelry and right now it is her favorite piece of jewelry.

There is some small assembly when you get this toy, but it's super easy, and takes five minutes. It works fantastic. I even had fun hitting the balls in my house. My son is 3 y.o and likes hitting the ball from the t-stand. The balls so far have not gotten stuck. I do wish it came with more balls, b/c you spend so much time chasing them. Overall, does what it promises, no problems, and I would recommend this toy.
This is a great product. My 4 year old son and his 2 year old sister have already played with the batter a lot!!! It definitely helps with skill set for my 4 year old and I think it will do so for some time to come. The only suggestion I would have is 3 balls are not enough....contact Fisher Price for more!!!
I bought this toy for my grandson's 4th birthday. He loves baseball and really enjoys this toy. He likes to have the ball pop up rather than use the toy as a tee, but he does sometimes use the tee. After he hits the ball, he runs around the yard, then picks up the ball and starts over again. I think this is a wonderful toy to help train a child to hit a ball. It saves the parent from having to stand their and keep throwing the ball to the child. I definitely recommend this toy for any child (boy or girl) who loves to play baseball!
