(A Great Gift for a Little Girl)

The only way to charge this is via the USB port in your computer. If your child does not have access to a computer she will not be able to recharge it. There is no display of what songs are on it nor is there an option to shuffle the songs. Otherwise, for the price, it is a fine toy. There are a lot of accessories and would be fun for a young girl (6-9 years?)
I bought three all three gifts for birthdays two worked and they were great the last one did not so I ordered another one and it worked fine didn't want to deal with trying to return it new to buying online so I used the extra peices in case anything else has issues ,overall it was great and I would buy it again for another person but the online play we just don't use hope this helps someone to make a decision
I originally didn't like this product. After reading more I was able to download tunes for my granddaughter by downloading them on the computer first and then transferring them to her toy. She loves it! I bought the headphones instead of the small ear pieces since she is 4 and she loves it.
This is perfect for my daughter who is 4. She loves it and it was reasonably priced.
This is a perfect gift for a little girl. I gave this to my five-year-old daughter for Christmas and she loves it. Her seven-year-old friend and cousin also liked it so much that we're buying them their own for their birthdays. The computer installation was easy and I have found that I can use RealPlayer and Windows Media Player instead of the software that came with the device, which is nice. The accessories packs available make it even more fun to change the Barbie's hair, clothes, shoes, and accessories and each one comes with an online code to use. The only drawback I've seen is that the premium online membership is only valid for a short period of time so unless you pay, you lose some of the functionality of the online play. It's not a big deal; my daughter got over it fast. Still, though, that is pretty greedy on Mattel's part. Overall, though, this is a great gift for a little girl... even if she's not into Barbies.

My 2 year old daughter just absolutely LOVES this toy. She's slept with it from the first day it arrived. She's even used the wand to make up spells and turn things around the house into pumpkins. Great toy for imagination play and a lot of fun.
I purchased an Abby doll for my 2 year old granddaughter and she loved her. When my year old granddaughter saw Abby, she fell in love with her as well, so I came back and bought another. Abby is brightly colored and has iridescent clothing. Her purple hair and big, smiling eyes make her more than appealing to the toddler set. And, of course, she is a television star! Abby now goes wherever my granddaughters go - she is the perfect size for their young arms to hold.

I played this game with my 3 children at a friend's house, and we all had so much fun that I had to buy it for the family! It is fun, and educational at the same time. My 10 year old gets such a kick out of the weird laws category. Highly recommended

A friend brought this game over to play and we all had a blast. We bought it for our house right away. You need at least 4 players, but is is great fun.
Balderdash is a game that requires copious amounts of imagination, and a good sense of humour. Because it requires players to make up answers, the game is different every time there are new players, and each player brings his/her unique brand of humour and wit to the table. I would imagine that this game is not suitable for young children, it is definitely more suitable to adult game night than family game night.

I've been building and modifying boards for my son for a couple of years now and have purchased several sets of Bones Reds, as well as other pro deck brandname bearings. The Bones are consistently the fastest, and most often the cheapest. Sub-$15 Bones Reds is the single best upgrade you can make to a board- like night and day.
Bones Reds are the BEST for affordability, roll, and speed...but not just on skateboards. My family uses them for roller skating.

I'm slowly working on getting sets - and an extra set - for every single one of us. I've got them in mine, let my husband try them, and our middle daughter loves them in hers.

I'll never look at another ABEC rated bearing again. Even just popping them in, putting the wheels back on, and spinning them, you could already tell the difference, but skating them? They were even more amazing!

With a family of 7, we need "inexpensive but reliable", these more than fit the bill.
Ok, so I'm looking for good bearings cause my old ones are busted... Sometimes I look up skateboard bearings on amazon that have the most stars but usually, I just buy at Zumiez. Well, this time I bought online and guess what? The outcome was exceptional. These bearings are THE BEST, Fastest bearings I have bought. They make you go really fast but its not uncontrollable. The sticker it comes with is cool too! Because they are greased up and ready to go, all you have to do is pop them on! I highly recommend this item!

I bought my 11 year old son a World Industries board for Christmas, no matter what I did I couldnt get the wheels to spin very free. I bought some "Reds" and WOW!!These are freaking amazing, put them in and he hauled a*$! He wiped out right off the bat! I am going to buy another set for when we clean the ones that are on now, so he wont have any down time. Like I said, you cant go wrong. I would recommend buying the Bones Speed Cream also. You cant beat these bearings, they are dirt cheap. I cant wait to take him back to the Mat Hoffman skatepark now!!

I really think that M&D do a great job with puzzles for kids. The colors and graphics are pretty and my 2 1/2 year old son loves it. He opened yesterday and spent at least 2 hours playing with it. He even took it to his room because he didn't want to stop playing and this morning he was ready to take it to school. I just have a minor observation about the low quality of the laminate in some of the pieces. When he tries to pull some of pieces, the laminate starts peeling. I just hope the they don't come fully apart. He seems to have a blast so I want to order a second one....
I got this puzzle for my 3 yr old last week after getting frustrated with a different puzzle from a different brand that was flimsy. This puzzle is nicely made from thick wood. The pieces still stay together unlike the cheaper brands with which we have played. The colors are attractive for a toddler, pretty for an adult, and the puzzle is great for reviewing the names of animals with a toddler.

I plan on ordering similar puzzles from Melissa and Doug in the future.
We bought this puzzle as a Christmas present for our two year old. The problem with this puzzle was evident as soon as we got it out of the package. While the back of the puzzle is wooden (like other M&D puzzles), the picture was printed on paper and adhered to the wood before the pieces were cut. When we disassembled the puzzle for the first time, we didn't notice that the puzzle pieces didn't get gut all the way through the paper, so when we separated the pieces the paper got torn, taking some of the design with it. We were very disappointed, especially considering the quality of product we've grown accustomed to receiving when purchasing M&D products. Our son still likes it and plays with it fairly often.
I was disappointed in this puzzle. It didn't seem to be up to Melissa&Doug's usual high standards. The puzzle pieces were flimsier than I thought they would be, hard to separate and hard to push down into place. However, the artwork is beautiful and I think my 3 yr old will enjoy it in the near future.

I love this game but I wish I'd gotten the deluxe version with the plastic grid gameboard.
I don't think Scrabble needs a review, but just in case: this is a great game. I like it more as an adult. I grew bored with it as a child. And, being the youngest by many years, it was also a game I could never win. No fun! But I like it now!
Scrabble is a very popular game and there is very little that I can add as review on the game. However, this scrabble set is very nice. Would make an excellent gift set.

I would have liked :
1. More number of alphabet pieces.
2. The letters are on one side of the piece, they could have been punched on both side of the pieces.
3. A scoreboard to maintain the player scores.
My wife and our friends have been huge Scrabble fans from way back. We were playing a lot of the Scrabble beta app on Facebook, but were getting tired of all the bugs. Plus, a good old-fashioned face to face game can't be beat. This set hasn't changed a bit from the version I played as a kid. This is the no frills version: the board doesn't revolve lazy Susan style and the tile bag is just made of plastic. Other than that, the game materials are high quality. As for game play, if you happen to be that rare person who has never played Scrabble, it is a classic board game and a ton of fun. And yes, it is educational and encourages literacy.

This is the classic board, with simple racks and a flat board. Functional and inexpensive. The only real annoyance is that the tiles can get skewed/disorganized on the board while you're playing since they don't have the raised grooves that the deluxe boards do. Still, perfectly manageable.

Like everyone else on here,I am very pleased with these bottles.I carry two for the long rides and one for the shorter ones.I buy the propel and g2 powder packs and keep them in my under seat storage.They do keep your drinks cold for a lot longer then regular bottles and my only complaint is that they did not make the inside of the bottle smooth.Instead,it has small dimples that will get a little moldy over time.The quick fix is to buy a baby bottle brush since the glass sponges on a stick will not get it clean.I carry mine with me at work and around the house and have found that the black plastic ring around the top makes it very easy to hang on to.Overall great product.
This water bottle is great! The insulation works super and appears to be very heavy duty. It fits perfectly in the beverage provision on my golf push cart.
The Polar Insulated water bottles keeps the water cool through a 2 hr tennis game in medium heat. The design is good for holding but the looks of the container is subpar compared to other brands. The nozzle works well but I'd like to see the size just a little bigger.
These bottles are just ok. I wouldn't buy them again. Sometimes they leak and if you freeze water in them, they still sweat. They don't come close to my favorite stainless steel bottles from 'the flylady'. Those don't sweat, leak, and are reasonably priced.
I ordered this bottle and it leaked all over the place. I thought it was defective and exchanged it for another one. The new bottle just leaked less. No matter how hard I screwed the top, water would always get out. The sides are also stiff and hard to squeeze and the water does have a bit of a plastic aftertaste. I do not recommend this bottle.

My 20 month old has been playing with this since Christmas and for such a simple toy it doens't get old. At first she loved pulling apart each piece and is now working on using the chunky wooden knife to cut the fruit. The sound and feel of the chopping with this set is the best. Other features I like: the colors are pleasing (the fruit looks pretty in a bowl), the inside of the fruit is depicted fairly accurately, and each piece is very durable.
I purchased this toy for my 22 month old son and he loves it! We count the pieces, name the fruit and learn to share. He's now 28 months and still enjoys this toy very much. I guess it makes him feel big that he's cutting his own fruit :) Fabulous toy!
My 16 month-old son took to this right away! He loves to match the peices of the fruit and then 'cut' them (with a little help from me).
He will play with this for many years. He now thinks he is allowed to use a knife at the table, so we have to be careful around real knives. The wooden fruit is much more duarble than plastic fruit, which we also have.
We have a lot of Melissa and Doug toys. The cutting food set is my daughter's favorite toy so I bought this set to go along with it. We just brought it home from store and I am so disappointed! Some of the velcro pieces are sunken into the wooden holes and so they barely "stick" together. The cantelope holds together by just a few strings. One of the velcro pieces on the orange is a piece from the end or side of a roll? It only has velcro on half of the piece, the rest is just material. We're so used to such high quality from Melissa and Doug that it really surprises me! I'll take it back and try again. I hope this isn't a reflection on a decrease in quality from our favorite toy brand.

Maybe we've been lucky. It certainly sounds like others have had bad experiences, but we love this product. Yes, the clock has no memory. So if the power goes out you have to re-program the unit. But honestly, that really doesn't bother me. I've had to re-program the unit a couple of times, no big deal. And yes, there is a slight salty flavor to the water. That doesn't really bother us either.

What's wonderful about it is that it does exactly what it claims -- keeps our pool crystal clear. No algae, no floating white particles, no foggy water and very little fuss. We love it.

When we set up the pool we put the salt in and waited 24-hours before starting the unit -- Thank you to everyone who suggested that. Worked like a charm. We've never had an error code except when the power went out.

We've only had the unit a couple of months, so maybe it will die after the first year. If it does I will be picking up another one next year.
I was skeptical buying this system because the pool stores all bad mouthed these systems, and I can see why, they want to sell chemicals! I decided to give it a try and I was amazed! My pool has been open 4 weeks, I used no chlorine, and it still sparkles like the day I filled it.

I have an 18ft round intex pool with about 6500 gallons of water. I had a hard time finding pure pool salt, every pool store I called did not carry or even know about the stuff. Like I said, they are in denial! I wanted the pure stuff and not the water softener salt, so I finally found a hardware store that ordered 5 bags of pool salt for me. I added 160 lbs to the pool and it dissolved almost immediately. I have a 1.5 horse pump, so there is no flow problems pushing through both a gas heater and the chlorinator. (I know, an expensive pump and heater on a $500 pool?) I will be upgrading to a deck and semi inground larger pool next year and I wanted to get the equipment I needed.

Anyway, the system has been working like a charm. I always take my water for a computer test at a local pool store. They tell me the chlorine in right in range and the PH was almost perfect. They ask if I had shocked the pool and I tell them that I never used a drop of chlorine this season! Then they are all ears and want to know more about the system.

I recommend this system to anyone. Don't pour that nasty chlorine in your pool anymore. The water feels great on your skin and eyes, and it saves you money too! Check it out!

Ok I try to do my research before buying anything online. And from what I read about this pump it seem like it would be worth it. I have a 15x48 metal frame intex pool that I got from Wal-Mart. And last year i bet i spent 200 or more on chemicals and chlorine and my pool was never right... I am sure you can get them right but here in Texas with the heat and rain it was an everyday battle and it seem like the balance of the pool was never perfect.. Ok enough about my bad experience from last year.

First thing you need to do is buy a heavy duty timer for your regular pump. (About 20.00) find one that has 2 on off modes.
Then depending on the size of your pool, I got 3-40pds bags of slat from Wal-Mart (about 6.00 a bag)

It says to use I think 110 pounds of salt for a 15x48 pool. Well I decided to try a little less than that first and see what happens. So I used 80 pounds of salt.

I ran my regular pump for about 5 hours after I put the salt in the pool. I then got in the pool and splashed the water around and made sure there was no salt on the bottom of the pool.

I turned the salt system on and after about a min it starting making chlorine.

No warnings no beeping.

With my timer for the regular pump it comes on about an hour before the salt system and turns off about an hour after the salt system for a total of about 5 hours. So it's off by 1 in the afternoon. Then I set it to come back on at midnight and run till about 3 am. (That gets all the bugs off the water)

I told my buddy do you know what I have put in this pool since I set it up. He said what? I said water and salt.... That's it water and salt!!

This thing will pay for it self after one year of use.

This generator works great. We have had an intex above ground pool for 2 years now (15' round), and decided to buy the generator based partially on some of the reviews I read online, but because I can't stand the chemical chlorine. According to my husband it was easy to install and it cycled overnight before we used the pool. The difference is amazing! The water feels silky, my skin was not irritated and yes you can open your eyes underwater with no burning or stinging. We would recommend this product to anyone who has a pool. After swimming our hair and skin truly feels conditioned. The salt was purchased at a Grocery Store for a total cost of under $21.00 and we didn't even use it all. The pool stays crystal clear all the time.
I really had high hopes for this unit after reading the reviews here on this web site and others. I ended up purchasing this from the big box store and have had nothing but troubles. When I tried to write a review there, they would not even publish it (I guess it might hurt sales).

I have perfect pool chemistry according to all my readings and according to the pool store's readings. Yet the longest operating time I can get this unit to operate is 2 hours (I need 11 hours for my 12500gal pool). It usually comes in to alarm and turns it self off after about 30 mins. The error code 91 indicates that the salt level is too low. But with my test strips and the pool store's digital salt meter we see that I have 3300ppm-more than enough.

I then began scouring the internet and find that this code 91 error is very common and a lot of people have issues getting this unit to work. In my opinion this unit is not made very well. I have returned it and spent a several hundred more dollars on a hopefully better unit-The Goldline Aqual Trol.

This applied energy current changes the salt dissolved in the water into liquid chlorine - hypochlorite. The liquid chlorine immediately mixes with the water leaving the chlorinator cell and flows into the swimming pool as clean, chlorinated water. The continuous introduction of liquid chlorine will ensure the continuous sanitization of the pool's water and will not allow the growth of algae. When the liquid chlorine has destroyed the bacteria in the pool, it reverts to salt. This means that the salt is continually regenerated in the process and the only loss of salt is due to backwashing, splash-out and overflow. It may be necessary to add salt to the pool water to bring the concentration back to the desired level of 3,000 parts per million. This form of chlorination will not damage your pool. Chlorine "tablets" or "powder" can damage the pool liner while saline conversion will not. Also, the mildly salted water will not affect the PVC plumbing, filters or pump. Saline chlorination is easier and safer. You will not need to buy or store any dangerous chemicals as you would for a pool.

We've been very pleased with Jenga. It's a lot of fun and the kids enjoy playing it.

The only reason I gave it four stars is that the stacking tool that helps you to quickly set up Jenga was made out of cardboard. The older sets had one that was made out of rigid plastic. It got ruined the first day and ended up in the recycling bin. This had made Jenga slower to set up.
You can't go wrong with a classic game like Jenga. Simple, engaging, and entertaining for the whole family. Appropriate for all ages. The beauty is in the simplicity. It comes with "extra" blocks, but in reality it doesn't matter much since a few lost pieces only means you lose a layer of the tower. The game can be played the same with or without them. This particular execution of the game comes with a handy and durable carry case. This game travels very well. So, we take ours camping to keep the kids happy during any bad weather. This should be a go to game in everyone's game closet.
this game is such fun...you don't really think of it with all the fancier games out there...but it really can't be beat. My 4 year old loves it...and is pretty good at it I might add.

This is a classic inexpensive game that should be in any house where kids live or visit. This and a couple other games have been enjoyed by my nieces and nephews when they visit and helps prevent any possible boredom if, like me, you are a proponent of leaving the tv off.
I purchased this game to use as part of a role playing game Dread: A Game of Horror and Hope. I had never played Jenga before, so my husband and I decided to set it up and have a few goes at it so we would know what to expect. We had no idea it could be so much darn fun. The concept is so simple and there are barely any rules. At each turn you must study the structure to find a piece you can remove that will not bring the tower down on your turn while trying to leave your opponents with no good options. Its sheer simplicity leaves a lot of options about game play - it could be a part of a trivia challenge, drinking game, or a host of other party games. The simplicity of the set up and ease of game play make it a great option for players of all ages and skill levels. Highly recommended!
