The mobile base is supposed to clamp on the vertical crib bar, but allows only a certain width, and our crib was wider). Baby ignored it during the first month, but then slowly started tracing the moving toys with his eyes and at 3 months coos and laughs every time I turn it on. He can be entertained by this for 20 minutes or more, which is the longest I have managed with any toy/activity. Absolutely wonderful! Note however, that it is stimulating - I wouldn't use it if I wanted to put baby to sleep.
Other positives:
1. music is pleasant; listening to it several times a day for a couple of months, I am still not sick of it. 2. can lower the volume and even eliminate the music (still keeps baby entertained and allows mommy to make a phone call). 3. looks sturdy, and much nicer than other mobiles that spin on a horizontal plane (our baby ignores such a mobile on his swing). 4. long battery time. 5. can choose to operate without the night light or music. 6. when choosing to operate without music you can't hear the motor noise.
Negatives: 1. may not fit all cribs and info about fit is not posted on the box or product description. 2. the night light does not attract baby's attention. 3. the remote is unnecessary. 4. the toys soemtimes get caught in my hair when I bend over to change the baby (because they are all different sizes and rotate on an angle).

The music is better than I expected - it sounds more piano-like than many of the other little noisemaking things out there. My one complaint is that, even on the soft setting, the music is a little loud. The twins are in a crib in my room right now, and I'd prefer something a little softer while I'm sleeping, although it's not so loud that it prevents me from falling asleep. I just pulled the bumper up over the speaker portion and it dampened the sound a bit. Having the music sound nice (there is a Mozart setting, a Bach setting, and two nature-inspired settings that have nature sounds and classical music) definitely helps!
Overall, the mobile is very cute. The animals each spin on their own axis, as well as turning around in a larger circle with the others, so there is a lot for the babies to look at. I'm pleased with it.』

I'm a huge fan of the books and I do like the movies (the screaming psychotic fans, not so much!) well enough. My only real complaint is about the Bella doll because the likeness to Bella herself is lacking. This doesn't look like Bella made by Mattel. Instead it looks like Barbie with a brown wig and Bella's clothes. I would have liked it to look more like Bella and less like Barbie. You could literally dress her up in different clothes, heels, a blond wig and you wouldn't know it was the Bella doll unless you look closely at the eye color.
TheBarbie Twilight Edward Doll on the other hand looks nothing like Ken. Edward shimmers, he is very pale, his eyes are alluring, he's got that signature James Dean hair and his face is very angled and chiseled like the shadows on the actors face in the movies. He may not be a DEAD (ha ha, get it? vampire... dead... ha) ringer for a Robert look-alike but he passes for a Twilight vampire well enough to satisfy my Twilight heart.
In conclusion, if you're a Twilight fan who loves the books as well as the movies and you enjoy collecting Twilight memorabilia the dolls are a must have. I intend on buying the Jacob doll to complete my Twilight Pink Label collection!』

When I placed penny on the stage with the 'Lincoln side' of the penny facing upwards, Lincoln's face points to the right in the penny, but when viewed through the eyepiece, the faces points to the left!! This lateral inversion makes it very counter-intuitive and difficult to get the desired area of interest into the field of view in the eyepiece.
