I've never played Assassin's Creed, I wanted this figure because I liked the character design. Compared to other NECA action figures I own, the paint job here is the cleanest, generally I've noticed paint jobs done by NECA are very random in quality. All of the details are excellent, swords, daggers, hidden knives could all be taken from their compartments. Definitely the best quality paint job I've seen from NECA. Here's hoping that the sequel to the game won't have anymore of the glitches I keep reading about.
Very well made figurine with great attention to details. All the swords are detachable, the long sword and short sword, you can put those in the hand and Altair will look like he's ready to fight. Throwing knives are too small to be held in the figurine's hands. All the limbs are movable except for the knees which you can only bend a little bit, so it makes a bit difficult to good posture other than just standing up straight or knees bent a little bit (but it wouldn't stand up with knees bent). It would've helped if it came with the stand.
This figure is just downright awesome. NECA recreated our favorite assassin with amazing detail. This figure is such a good quality for the price that I purchased two, just so one could stay mint. It is important that the figure be given in the appropriate age range! There are a ton of small pieces and the figure simply isn't safe for young ones. The figure is for ages 17+ so don't get it for your five year old.

(A Great Model - Fantastic Show!)

Well, I bought it as a gift for someone. He's hanging it in his room and not actually playing with it since he collects things like this.
I purchased this little ship model one night after watching one of my Firefly DVD's, saddened at the fact the show is probably never comming back, browsing Amazon in the middle of the night. I kind of bought it on a whim, but I was very pleased when I recieved it because it's a beautiful recreation of the ship herself.

Now, she sits perched atop a speaker in my living room, and I can glance up at her finely detailed hull, angled slightly as to resemble her dashing accross the verse without a care in the world. Every detail I can think of is perfect, even the little dishes mounted here and there that I can recall intact. For a sad browncoat like me, it's very comforting to see Serenity in my house, and I can daydream about being a member of her crew.

All mushy feelings about the show aside, it really is a great little model of the ship, nicely detailed. It's about 5-6 inches long I think, comes with a loop on top to hang it, or you can detatch that and sit it on a base that it comes with. On the base, it sit's at an angle like as if it were mid-flight, kinda neat I thought.

If your a fan of the show I recommend buying it, also, it comes from Universal which helps fill their pockets relating to Serentiy. Always a good thing if Universal were on the fence thinking of whether or not to make a sequel. It's a nice little model of a ship many of us hold in our hearts.

I like this Ornament quite a bit. The Firefly class of ship is really interesting, the detailing and paint job on this model is pretty good.
I enjoy looking at Serenity from different angles and examining details of the ship. Brings back memories of the series and movie in a solid form.

(Lots to Do in One Toy, Perfect for Siblings)

I like this toy because my two-year-old twins can play with it at the same time without arguing. We got it last week, and it's still the main draw in the playroom. It comes with a boy and a girl doll, and a 4-part town for them to explore: a school, the dentist and doctor, the pet store and a pizza shop, and a swing under an apple tree.

A voice counts out loud as you push apples into the tree, and my son loves this best. My daughter likes to put the dolls in the pizza shop, and put the pizzas in the oven. They love pushing anything that results in a song, voice or sound, and there's lots of that here. I'm not sure this toy would hold the attention of 5-year-olds, but I think it's perfect for 2-3 year olds.
In this tiny town, kids learn all sorts of lessons through interactive play. Little ones learn ABCs, numbers, colors, shapes and more in a unique format that unfolds for all-around playset play. Start at the doctor and dentist offices with a weight scale and dentist chair. Then grab a snack at the shape-sorting pizza shop with four different shaped pizza disks and a shape identifier. The Premium Barricade transformer is great for display, and has excellent articulation. The detail is top notch, bearing the "To Punish and Enslave" tag on one rear quarter panel and a license plate reading 'DCPTCN'. It comes with a tiny Frenzy transformer that can be taken out of Barricade's chest/grill, but he isn't much to look at. Barricade's left arm has a small trigger you can press that makes his forearm pop forward in a 'punch,' but if you don't do it just right it looks less like a punch and more like his arm is just extending downward. He holds together fairly well, but you have to be careful when transforming him (especially from robot to car). The bottom line is if you like Transformers and want the toys, definitely pick this one up IF you plan on displaying it and not working the parts a lot. If you're thinking about buying this for a child to play with, you should look at some of the bulkier lines of transformers made to handle wear and tear. Younger children just don't have the hand dexterity take care of this model, and it probably wouldn't take much transforming/battling for Barricade to break.
Repaired and rested after the long struggle against the AUTOBOTS, BARRICADE is at a loss for what to do. MEGATRON has been destroyed, and most of the other DECEPTICONS have disappeared. Its more and more difficult to catch an AUTOBOT alone, and tormenting humans isnt as enjoyable as he thought it would be. For the time being, he fades into the background. He keeps his armor polished and his vehicle mode looking sharp in the hope that MEGATRON will return again, and lead the DECEPTICONS to glory.

(INCREDIBLE, we loved the Isobot, and I am a "techie".)

Like every product, I-Sobot has it's good and bad parts. For example, it's an incredibly agile machine with 17 servoes and an internal gyroscope (something that many larger bots do not come with standard). Coupled with limited voice recognition (not simply sound detection), sound effects/speech, and programmability, it's an impressive piece of hardware. It's got a helpful community that supports it with things like the third-party solution "Robodance" that allows you to control it with a laptop and even with the Nintendo Wii controllers.

The not-so-good? It has no fully-autonomus mode, i.e. no obstacle or edge-detection. It also has more limited battery life than other entertainment robots like the Robosapien line (it does come with rechargeable batteries and its own charger so the power situation is somewhat mitigated). Also it's a tad fragile (I wouldn't push it down the stairs).

Depending on the intended use of the robot, users may like it or not. I-Sobot is good for a simple and yet flashy introduction to robot programming and behavior (not to mention many of its more witty routines). It is not as versatile as a Robonova, but then it doesn't cost anywhere near the 'Nova's price.
Reading other reviews I can clearly see others did not read the safety instructions.This is a table bot,not meant to mingle w/ the elements.
As far as the surface you need for i-sobot to live healthy,I suggest a large square of foamboard or artboard atop a level table.It's acid free, non-slippery,cushions because it's made of foam between paper,and can be found easily.I glue 2 foamboard together to prevent warping over time.
This is a delicate robot that likes to incorporate falling backwards in his routine of tickle me' and other tricks.On a shiny smooth table,he will likely fall over accidently.And the carpet thing,forget it,he will die.

You will be amazed beyond what you may have seen on the i-sobot demo video or read of this humanoid.Comes w/ key if he gets loose joints and special eneloop batts and charger.Even the carrying case is impressive.

If you are considering a smart humanoid robot,this is it,no question.

I have been a fan of robot toys ever since I received an original Lost in Space robot for Christmas when I was just a little kid. That began a life long love affair with robot toys. From Transformers to Go-Bots, Shogun Warriors to 1950's tin lithograph toys, to the Japanese Mecha toys like Gundam and Votoms, I've collected them all. But I've never seen anything quite like TOMY's i-Sobot, easily the most sophisticated robot toy ever made.

Standing about 7" tall, the i-Sobot is capable of movements, which dwarf any robot toy that has come before. Forwards, backwards, side-to-side, diagonal and that's just the tip of the iceberg. This toy is so articulated and so nimble, that it can do handstands, the splits, somersaults, and other exercises. It can perform complicated martial arts moves like karate chops, roundhouse kicks, combo punches and back kicks. Oh, but were just getting started on the hundreds of moves that this wireless remote control wonder can pull off.

i-Sobot is a total ham when it comes to performing in front of a captive audience. I had a group of friends over not long ago to watch a basketball game and we spent a good two hours playing with the i-Sobot. Everyone wanted a turn! This guy can dance a hula or perform a scene from a western movie. He can play air guitar and impersonate different animals. He can display an incredible range of emotions including excitement, regret, pain, worry, love, and more. But this guy doesn't just move around, he also talks in a vibrant, clear voice and has a vocabulary of over 200 words and phrases.

The i-Sobot has four different operating modes. There is the standard remote control mode which allows you to move him around at will and perform any of several dozen different actions. These are classified by type of action and include punch, kick, and guard actions, common phrases and greetings, emotional actions, showcased actions and mystery actions. The Special Action mode features a number of different complicated longer actions. These include the aforementioned animal imitations, tropical dance, and western scene as well as a Tai Chi performance. The i-Sobot comes with a voice recognition chip allowing you to have it perform several actions in voice control mode. Finally, the program mode allows you to program in your own actions from the remote control and special action menus to give it your own unique movements. There are three memory blocks, each allowing you to program up to 80 actions.

So what allows for all of this agile movement, realistic sounds and complex programming? The I-Sobot features 17 servomotors and a built-in gyro sensor and speaker. There is an IR remote control that can transmit on two different bands with two LED lights on the i-Sobot. The robot is powered by 3 AAA NiMH rechargeable batteries, which come included in the package along with a battery charger. The robot should work up to ten hours on a charge. The remote control unit is powered by three standard AA batteries (those are not included).

If you leave your i-Sobot on, don't worry, he will bother you several times asking for a command before going into sleep mode after six minutes of inactivity. If you're toy assembly challenged, don't worry. The i-Sobot comes full assembled. All you have to do is charge the batteries and install them and you're ready to go. The toy works beautifully. It's as fluid as it seems although you do have to use it on a flat surface. DON'T try it on a table, however. i-Sobot likes his space and he's liable to tumble right off if he's performing one of his complex maneuvers.

Have a care though, this is a toy meant for kids who are a bit older. You will need, from time to time make minor adjustments to the joints as the servos get out of alignment over time. Instructions on this are included in the 34-page operating manual. The i-Sobot isn't cheap. The MSRP is $349.00 although most online retailers have it in the $229.00 range. This is one of the most unique and advanced toys I've ever seen!
I bought this robot for my 8 year old son. He loved it so much he almosted fainted.

The battery had to be charged overnight before he could play with the robot.

The robot has a fun personality and can do a whole bunch of amazing things, like getting up from lying down or all sorts of karate moves.

But after he's played all the moves, he started to get bored. There is a program mode, where you can chain up a series of moves, but it's still all the same moves. There is a remote control mode, where you can walk the robot around, but I can't get the robot to pick anything up using the arms or move each limb/motor individually.

I guess if I bought another and had a sumobot competition, it might bring some of the excitement back to owning this amazing piece of technology.
First impressions were: wow.

I have reviewed a lot of robots online, looked at what they had pre-programmed, and how user friendly they were (my son would be playin with it too; 9yrs old). I have to say after owning a Aibo $3000 Sony robot, that this is just as cool at a fraction of the price. Isobot is somewhat programable, very hackable, and has a large preset of commands.

I would recommend this to anyone who is interested.

Other main components include a built-in speaker unit and built-in microphone with a voice recognition chip. With built-in clutches and metal gears, the i-SOBOT offers up to 220-degree movement. The two infrared transmission bands allow the robot to be operated with an LCD remote control.
