But Those Stupid Arms!) (Brawl is a brawl of fun!) (Prepare to spend lots of time on this for your child) (Brawl) Most reviews will tell you the same I am about to. His stupid arms WILL NOT STAY PUT. he really is an excellent figure otherwise, though the issue with his arms put a ridiculous hindrance on the whole value of him. You get him transformed the first time, really ingenious how his arms fold into the turret, but in the end you go to attach them and they just, well nothing.. The point where the Shoulder is has a peg that should fit into a space on his torso where you'd expect, looks simple enough, but really too simple. No locking or snapping or trapping of the piece means nothing much at all is holding his arms from just falling to the sides. Even if your just trying carefully to pose him, you have to hold his shoulders in place if you are touching his arms at all. This IS a big problem, but I was still a big enough fan of brawl to get this one, he IS really cool aside that. Just sad, if they'd addressed that before releasing him, he would have been the best in his class for the Decepticons. I do suggest fans of brawl check out his Leader Class, THAT one is awesome. If you own only one version of Brawl, go with Leader Class. Brawl is probably at least worth checking out. While the tank and robot both look great and the automorph is exceptional, the arms don't clip in very well (frustratingly so) and the transformation is more complex than it would appear (not too frustrating). I find most of my fun in Transformers in the actual transformation, and by looking at brawl initially I just expected it to be a pretty standard "The tank extends legs, the front folds out, and arms pop out of somewhere". What I got was something a bit more complicated - but by no means frustratingly so - with the same cool but uncomplicated-looking result. If the engineers behind this spent so much time designing such a transformation, couldn't they make the result a little more interesting? Before I get to the arms, my favorite part is by far the "Automorph technology". GENERALLY, I think these are pretty dumb since they often make the bots harder to transform (Iced Megatron) and yield no cool effect (I broke my Bumblebee 'cause Automorph was not very responsive). Brawl is a HUGE exception to this. When the chest flips down, the head flips up and the treads fold up on either side, all in one fluid motion thanks to gears in the chest; I feel this definitely embodies what automorph is about, since it capitalizes on a step of the transformation anyway, and it looks really cool when you do it (you can even look closely to see how the gears work)! *Sigh*... Now the worst bit: the shoulders do not clip in very well if at all. There is a place for little bits on the shoulders to "clip" into the chest bit, but they immediately fall back out again since there is no pressure to keep them in. I have improvised slightly with the flaps on the back to try to keep them in, but it means moving the arms at all takes care, and if you have kids don't be surprised if you're asked to put them back in place every 5 seconds. Overall I am happy with Brawl. He looks cooler than a lot of the other Transformers out there in both modes, which - along with automorph - helps make up for the bad shoulder design and the unnecessarily long transformation. Brawl's unique transformation style, awesome rotating turrets, and long range cannon blasts make Brawl a very, very fun toy to play with! Brawl has an amazing blast that shoots at least three feet. He is very durable and detailed and a blast for anyone to play with - young and old! Brawl has an easy Transformation, yet both his robot and vehicle mode are of high quality. The only problem with Brawl (and it is a common Transformer flaw) is his shoulder socket. It is very hard to lock into place. i have not been able to actually keep them there yet. I would very very highly recommend this Transformer to absolutely anyone. Transformers - big hit since the movie - but they are tough and tedious to transform. Takes an engineering degree. Kids love playing with them but they want them transformed all the time and that is not quality time with the kids. Another great transformer toy. This one will last a little conger thanthe rest as few parts fall off regularly. Transform, and roll out! Brawl transforms from tank to robot and back. Hasbro produced this line of action figures based on the surprisingly awesome Transfromers feature film. Who knew Michael Bay had it in him? Collect them all, each sold separately. After thrity years it was great to read something so warm and comfortable. The doll was adorable and came in cute packageing. She loved it. We didn't play with it. She sat Jane on her desk next to her Homer Simpson figure and she is hoping her friends at work will view her as well rounded. Buy this doll, it is inexpensive but shows you care to an Austen fan! I loved buying this for my daughter who is an avid Jane Austen fan! This can compete with her brother's Star War and Marvel Comic action Figures! I purchased this item because I am a teacher and I wanted to put a collection of literary figures on my desk. Shortly after taking the figure out of the box (literally, within minutes) a colleague was looking at it and went to raise the figure's left arm. She did not apply unnecessary pressure but the figure snapped in half. When I looked at the broken midsection, I noticed that the top and bottom were held together by less than 1/8" diameter semi-circle of plastic (an amount slightly larger than the largest part of a toothpick). I feel that the design could be improved greatly. As Jane Austen is one of my favorite authors, I am dissappointed that so little attention was paid to the design- especially since she is known for her great attention to detail. Sad, sad design. I bought this for my girlfriend, who really loves Jane Austen's work. She liked it very much. It's a funny gift to give, and perfect to have somewhere in your house, between your Jane books. But for me, not a great fan as her, I think the details and the painting of the action figure could be better. She didn't take out from the box, and it's fine that way. Wonder what would happen if you actually play with it like a toy. This was a gift for a friend who is a big Jane Austen fan. It was a big fun hit!! I found the doll to be beautifully made with charming detail. I think I'll get another!!! Actually, don't tell anyone, but right now she's sitting by a figure of Mozart and I'm not sure they're not up to something when we go home at night. At a time when the interest level in science and space exploration is at a low, it's things like these that spark a new generations imagination to dream. The "Professor Darkness" toy is the villain, fittingly portrayed in the toy series' pantheon as the black hole. My son loves the light-up action, and the fact that it comes with two sidekicks "Photon" and "Neutron" (he has renamed them "Banana" and "Lime", thus erasing the vocabulary enhancement of learning the names of subatomic particles). A slight downer was learning that the animated episode on the enclosed DVD is the same as included with every toy in the series. We had previously purchased "Ace"--the character symbolizing Earth--and my son had watched the video repeatedly. He was disappointed to find the "Professor Darkness" did not come with his own video. The Planet Heroes line is fantastic for imaginative play, for critical thinking, and for light-hearted education / planet recognition. My three year old nephew loves this line of toys and the little movies/ episodes and comic books. You just have to laugh at these villains and minions. (Beautiful figure) (I like it) This action figure looks just like the Sephiroth from the Advent Children movie. It comes with interchangeable hands and can be posed many ways with the adjustable arms. The sword is very long just as Sephiroth's sword should be and his hair is very long just like that should be. It also comes with a nice stand. This is an excellent action figure I believe you will really enjoy. My favorite part is that they are from the Final Fantasy 7 Universe and as soon as I got them I set em up in poses (Cloud and Sephiroth). Sephiroths head does not want to stay pointed down b/c his hair is heavy and the head is kinda loose. Not sure if you are supposed to be able to pose them without the stand but for mine its kinda impossible.Detail on the figures are better than I had hoped b/c action figures have a tendency to look bad mostly in the face. For the price I guess it is good that they do look like the characters. Overall I am gonna have these setting up no matter what. If you love Final Fantasy 7 as many of us do I think you really will enjoy this. I just got this figure (finally) and I really enjoy it, you can tell that there was definite time put into making it. My only issue is the fact that his hand was incredibly hard to pop out, I actually broke it, so the ball joint was stuck in his wrist. My dad drilled it out though, and we put another one in instead. Still, kinda sucked, because I just received the toy today. All in all, a great figure. I would be sure to get this before it goes out of print. I recently bought this at an anime convention (I would have bought it here if I had not found it there. Still, the price here was a little cheaper) and I was not disappointed. I also have a Final Fantasy 12 XII Balthier Bunanza Action Figure, and the Sephiroth one is much more moveable. He's highly posable, especially with his arms, and unlike Balthier, he has a total of six hands instead of four, two closed, two to hold his masamune, and two open. The only movement that is a bit limited his his head, but that's due to his high collar and his long hair. But that's a super minor issue. The box is a little misleading in one of the stances. He can't spread his legs too far, but other than that, they are wonderfully posable. The joints move very well. The detailing is wonderful, even down to the little hooks that connect the straps across his chest. The top most hook on his coat also snaps off, giving more room to move his legs. All around a beautiful figure that is well worth its price. I'm going to have Balthier and Sephiroth duke it out. We'll see who wins. This is a nice Advent Children Sephiroth figure. I bought it brand new in it's origional box, but it has minor flaws/scratches all over, but they're not too noticable from a couple feet away, not anything to really complain about. It's to be expected, I guess. The figure does seem kind of fragile. Also, Sephiroth's face appears a tad too "nice", (I'd prefer a sinister sneer over a blank expression!)and his head rather small.
