My son loves Pokemon and wanted this so badly for Christmas. Based on the reviews and seeing what you get for the price, we didn't get this for him. The poor little guy used gift cards after Christmas to buy this horrible toy! Everytime he tried to play with it, it would completely fall apart! He got so frustrated that it just sat on the shelf until I finally threw it away yesterday! Do not waste your money! In my opinion, this toy isn't worth $1.00 let alone $10!!! Stay Away from this! Todd Snap would recommend them to you also, since he always preferred to take pics of Pokemon in nature rather than a posed Pokemon. (Great toy!) (Great detail and effects) It was a little smaller than the original TV show's NCC-1701. I was hoping it would be the same size. Detail, lights , and sound effects are good. Display stand is of poor quality. I really like this representation of the Refit Enterprise, but the one I have came with severely warped nacelles. That's about the only negative thing I can say about it. I'll have to ship it back for a replacement, but otherwise the detail is nice and sounboard and lights are awesome. Keep on Trekkin! Okay, This item is good to have for the enjoyment of an adult who likes to be entertained because of the inner child that comes out (meaning me). Well, the sounds are authentic (straight from the movie), the look is on it and the shape is dead on. There are two misfortunes to this item. 1) The ship will not stay lit as an option like the original enterprise that was released by the same company. 2) When the ship is lit there are area' s at the bottom of the head that are see-through. Otherwise, it is worth it for the price. So, if these two points don' t bother you? GO GET IT! This item came just in time for my husband's birthday. He really likes it a lot. Thanks! I already owned the Classic Enterprise from Art Asylum, so I knew I'd eventualy have to own the refit. This version is very nice in the details and sound effects. The attachment of the stand is a little odd, but nothing a little elbow grease couldn't fix. It looks great on my shelf. Also, this was the least expensive (including S&H) I found on the Web. (One of my son's favorites) (These guys are HUGE!!) I bought this for my 4 1/2 year old. He fiddled with it for a short time trying to figure out what it was and what it did. That was several months ago and I have yet to see him play with it since. In fact, I wonder what ever happened to it??? Oh well, I'm sure it's at the bottom of his toybox somewhere. It really is just one of those toys that a kid needs to pick-out for himself. It just so happens that my kid never would have picked this action figure. But, I'm sure there may be a kid out there somewhere that finds it to be great fun. My oldest saw the Planet Hero line in a toy catalogue this past fall, when he was four, and fell in love. He recieved Neptune, along with a few others, for Christmas. They are played with every single day in this house. I have neighbor moms emailing and calling me asking what toys we have that their child is now begging for after playing at our house--it's always Planet Heroes. Neptune is one of the absolute favorites around here. Like a previous reviewer said, the air gun is pretty cool. I love that it's all one piece (the gun, not the figure and gun). And I think the liquid filled head is really cool on the figure. He just looks cooler than the others, in my opinion, and after a 5th birthday and his brother's 2nd birthday, we now have all but two of the entire line of toys (the other two are on backorder). Neptune is my favorite of all of them. If you can only get a few, make sure Neptune is one of them--he's the coolest. As for the planet facts, there are only two or three. My son is pretty into planets, and the facts listed weren't anything he didn't already know. However, the numbers that they all have on their chests have taught him the order of the planets, something he was struggling with before. They have been thrown down stairs, fought over, tossed in the bathtub once, and who knows what else and are holding up great. They look the same as when we bought them. I ordered this figure along with Jupiter and Saturn. The very first thing you notice is the sheer size of them. He's just not some tiny action figure, the entire package with vehicle and figure is 10-12 inches tall. Along with the size of Neptune comes some weight, don't go dropping him on any toes if you can avoid it. The package is covered with facts about the actual planet Neptune, so I was surprised about the educational factor of this toy. The air-bazooka feature on the ship is a neat novelty, and nice to see something interactive that doesn't shoot a tiny missile to potentially lose. The other feature, the "water" filling inside the figure is...odd. The shell of the figure looks and feels sturdy but I can't help but keep checking my son's toy box for leaks. The only reason I didn't give this 5's is because without investing in other figures (hence, $$$) like any character from any toy line, repeat play can grow boring quickly without his buddies coming to the rescue. Neptune, while fun, isn't exactly a stand-alone toy. The Planet Heroes assemble from the farthest reaches of the solar system to defend the galaxy against Black Hole and his evil minions. Each hero has "super powers" that they've acquired from their home planet. Includes 3 replaceable mercury-free button-cell batteries.
