I got this for him as a Christmas gift - something to give him a laugh. Shouldn't be a problem, as I was thoroughly amused with them myself. Was also impressed with the amount of detail in each figurine - like the guy carrying his own severed arm. Priceless. I have a son who is simply obsessed with zombies (in movies, folklore, etc.)And while we are a campy and indulgent type of family, even I was a little horrified when my daughter chose this as an Easter gift for her brother. "After all, Easter is about resurrection" she quipped, so despite my misgivings I allowed it. He absolutely loved them! Several of the figurines have missing limbs; there is a crawling zombie, and an undead dog as well. My personal favorite is the housewife with a brain in her outstretched hand. Someone put a lot of thought into these, and they'd be even better paired with the B movie victim set (which we were unaware of at the time). They glow in the dark, and for a long time he had them under his bedside lamp, so when it was turned off they continued to imbue his room with a subtle, relaxing light. I can also see the wonderful potential for decorating a graveyard cake with these guys. A creative and whimsical product! I used these figurines for cake toppers. I made red velvet cake with chocolate frosting and oreo cookie crumb topping. I then put the Zombies on top. It was a hit! This could also be a good birthday cake idea for the horror movie lover you know. They're after braaaaains! Power Ranger Jungle Fury Mega Mission HelmetThis helmet made my son the happiest ever. He actually thinks he is a real power ranger with the helmet, its very real like to him. My son received this for Christmas. He really wanted it and seems to enjoy it very much. He also received a Transformers Helmet with voice changer which I would have guessed to be his favorite but he still says the power rangers one is better. Both are very cool ideas and the kids can actually wear the helmets and pretend to be that charactor which is a lot better then the others I have seen where you can only push buttons for sound effects but not actually wear them. The only downside is they are on the pricey side but they do perform a lot of functions and you can download missions so this is somewhat justified.----Overall I recommend it. It was ok for 8 years old but too simple to play with. My son was excited at first but after downloading a few mission which was kind of easy and simple, he lost interest already. All of the animals contained within are real identifiable animals that you may see on the Discovery channel or Animal Planet. These toys, and the Shark bag, were brought by Santa as present for my 19 month old. He and his 7 yr old brother gets a lot of enjoyment out of them in the bath tub. Between the shark attacks and the orca retaliations, the bathroom is completely covered in water from the splashing. Once you add in the crazed fisherman that are fishing with guns, you have a battle that only a few can survive. I highly recommend these for young kids for bath time or any time. This is a good "inexpensive" gift for little ones who like to tote toys in their pockets. They also go over well for bathtime toys. I gave these to my nephew along with those little tablets that turn the bath water blue and he had an instant ocean. Very cute. Star Wars fans will certainly want to add this to their collections but it could have been so much better. It isn't poseable enough and how much trouble would it have been to add Vader's signature hissy breathing? I agree with the critic who said not to pay more than ten bucks for it. Six or seven at most. There have been many great Vader figures in the past,this Vader is good but it's not much compared to it's predecessors. This guy is overrated due to it's rarity since fans love Darth vader. It's not as good as you might have expected. First of all it lacks articulation all you can move are his arm, legs and head. This vader is basically already preposed, since you can't clench in one of his hands and you have to move one of the legs back for it to stand.Other than these problems this figure has a nice sculpt, an okay feature and a very nice cape. These figures are very popular so grab one when you get the chance, but it's not worth paying more than $10 for it. This figure is one of the best Darth Vader figures.I think this toy is great because the design of the figure is pretty cool. I like the cloth cape alot.There is a small problem with standing the figure up.But still it is a great figure.It also comes with a red lightsaber that fits into the figures hand easily. What I didn't like: Ryu's paint job wasn't the neatest...his skin tone had a purple hue to it as well... I didn't get the throwing knives either, (manufacturers packaging mishap) but I wrote to NECA and sure enough it was delivered. NECA, great customer service!!! Very nice detail and sturdy/solid.My only complaint is that the manufacturer forgot to include the throwing shuriken. My son was so happy with it that he said he could do without the missing item. If you are a fan of the game you will like this for sure. I have waited for a long time for a good ninja toy and finally it was delivered from NECA for the game Ninja Gaiden II. This figure features an awesome Katana aka The Dragon Sword, Throwing Knives, Tonfas, and a set of hands. He has great articulation (although mine is a little slipper so sometimes limbs go where I don't want them too) and great detail. An amazing figure and a must have for anyone that likes Ninjas or is a fan of Ninja Gaiden. Please Neca release more Ninja Gaiden toys. My kids liked the video game very much.I promised them to buy it as a gift .When I told them that I found it and I will order 2 for them ,you can't imagine how happy their where.Finally we received them and they were more delighted to have it in their hands. Thank you amazon. Overall I would say its an excellent figure- APPEARANCE- The figure is very detailed and a game accurate depiction of Ryu Hayabusa from Ninja Gaiden. However if your a collector you may notice that there are many minor and sometimes major paint defects. I ordered one of these for myself and one for a friend. Both had many minor paint defects that are forgivable and not very noticeable, but both figures had at least one major noticeable paint defect. One had dots of black on the forehead protector where paint didn't cover properly and the other had a silver smudge on the chest near one of the buckles. Despite these flaws both my friend and I are still satisfied with the figure. ARTICULATION- The figure features excellent articulation and can be posed in many ways. Ryu can pretty much do what ever you want. The only thing I noticed he can't do is hold his sword with a two handed grip. The figures articulation with how his shoulders move just won't allow for his hands to reach that close to each other. ACCESSORIES- The figure comes with the Dragon Sword with Sheath, Tonfas, and a Extra Set of Hands. Once again the detail on the accessories is very good, especially the Dragon sword that can slide into the sheath on his back. I wouldn't get excited over the Tonfas since they are the fully upgraded version and game accurate so personally I find them a bit ridiculous looking. On the box it states that the figure comes with "Throwing Daggers." Neither my figure or my friends came with them. If you contact the manufacturer NECA's website they will send you replacements since some of the figures were distributed accidentally without them. But once you get them they are awesome little accessories for the figure. The figure actually has little game accurate holders on his thigh for them. So despite a few issues with the figure I would say its diffently worth getting if your fan of Ninja Gaiden. Ryu 7¿ action figure from the video game classic ninja gaidan. There is none higher.) (After a Little Work, Simply Stunning) The two heads that it comes with are wonderfully detailed and were difficult to choose between. I first stood back and looked at the head that was attached to the figure when it came out of the box. I then took it off and was surprised to see that the "nub" that it was attached to came with it. after pulling the nub out, I replaced the normal head with the "mask" head and left that up for a day. When I went to change the heads out again, I found the "mask" head very difficult to remove. I turned it left and right while gently pulling and finally there was a pop and it came off. the "nub" was there as before and was very difficult to remove (unlike with the "regular" head). Once it got it out, I noticed an extra ring around it that wasn't there before. comparing the two heads side by side while looking down the "neck" I was able to see that the ring was actually meant to stay in place as it was what held the "nub" in place. I feel that for the price, the two heads shouldn't be so difficult to deal with. If they were meant to stay in place, the figure should not have come with 2 options. A little super glue fixed the problem with the "ring" and it was quickly back home inside the neck. I kept the bottle of glue out and attached the clip to the pistol as it kept sliding out. The stand for this figure is worthless; the figure stands just as well with it as it does without. I'm thinking of tweaking it a little to be more like the DC direct stand that goes around the figures waist. Regardless of these issues, it's a great figure and a fine part of my collection. I proudly display it next to the DC direct joker and am thinking of swapping the clothes to see how it works, but for now the "bank robber" is just as it was intended. I'm very impressed with how wrinkled the suit is; just like the movie. All grenades fit nicely in the highly detailed and movie accurate bag. The machine gun is unnecessary and is still in the package along with all other unused pieces (extra hands, mask, 2nd head). The Joker easily displays in several movie accurate poses, slouch and all, which was difficult to do with the DC Direct version. Mostly, I'm impressed with the look. The pictures on the net really don't do the head sculpt justice. The sideways glare is very menacing and is a bone chilling resemblance to Ledger's character. I won't write too much on the figure because basically everyone else has covered it. This really is one REALISTIC looking figure. I have both this one and the DC Direct Joker (retail 89.99 when I got that one) and they are both fantastic. I thought that the DC Direct one looked very realistic (especially over the other hot toys joker doll)until I bought this one. This one is truly amazing. The only thing I want to mention that I don't think I have read in the other reviews is that the Stand for the figure is terrible. It is not a very secure stand and does not hold it very well at all. I mean, it works, but I would not take it over the standard stand that clips around their waist or holds the figure up by their shoulders. But does that make this figure not worth getting? Heck No! this thing is a must have for people that love to collect figures and are big fans of the Joker. In The Dark Knight, Joker and his thugs rob Gotham National Bank of $86,000. This toy is basically a toy of that Joker. He comes with a wide variety of acessories. He comes with as always, his bank robber mask which actually looks different from the original one. Whereas it has the mouth open a bit and made of rubbery plastic. Whereas on the original DC Direct Joker, the mouth is shut and it's made of plastic. He comes with the gun that Dopey and Happy used to get to the roof of the bank. He comes with a duffle bag containing the bombs. He also comes with once again Joker cards and a stack of green (money). He also comes with another head which can't fit the mask but for display. It has this head attached to it when you buy it. It also comes with a stand. The head that is made for the mask has the hair rolled down. He comes with 2 boxes. One has a Joker card in the style of a dollar bill. Another one modeled after his bank robber mask and other pictures that you seen online. So the only backfire is that this is shorter than the original Joker. I believe wherever you don't buy this from simply makes you...stranger. Wow, just WOW. I think this takes the cake as the coolest Joker figure out there. Hot Toys have outdone themselves with this one. The detail on this figure, especially the facial detail and paint job, have to be seen to be believed as to just how realistic it is. Some people have said that the costume here is a little bit "boring," but I think this diversion from the typical purple suit is what makes this figure unique and original, a different take on the Joker and his character. Some other pluses: -Lots of cool accessories. Comes with "Grumpy" clown mask, handgun with removable clip, MK760 with removable clip, 4 grenades, 3 smoke grenades, luggage bag, and an extra head with an evil smirk expression. One recommendation: if you take it out of the box for display, put all the grenades into the luggage bag. They are fairly small and easy to lose otherwise. -Spitting image of Heath Ledger. The Hot Toys' The Dark Knight: 1:6 Scale The Joker, as awesome as it is, doesn't resemble Ledger that much. If there's one small flaw with this figure (and a very small one at that), it's that the mask has a brand-new look to it and isn't weathered like in the movie. One can either leave it as is or try to custom-weather it a little. At almost $200 this isn't pocket change, but trust me, it's worth every penny. Looking back now, it's almost unfathomable that many people paid over $300 on eBay for the Batman: The Dark Knight - The Joker with Crime Scene Evidence Movie Masters Joker figure only because it got pulled from store shelves. Someday this Bank Robber will be unavailable too (being a limited edition), and in this case paying the $200 is more than justifiable. All in all, a must-own "Dark Knight" Joker figure. Most highly recommended. If you have read my reviews of the other figures in Hot Toys' TDK line, you know that I think they are some of the finest movie licensed products ever released. This figure, after a bit of work out of the box, fits the bill as well. Much was made when the first Joker was released, and while it was simply stunning in its execution and attention to detail, perhaps the biggest factor in any Joker figure--Heath Ledger's likeness in the film--wasn't quite present. The headsculpt, while exquisite in its own right, wasn't pulled off the screen like the other figure's headsculpts were. So HT went back to work and remedied the situation by giving us a new character and the best headsculpt available on the market. Out of the box, the figure is quite underwhelming. The new headsculpt aside, the suit was a bit wrinkled, the undershirt not straight, and the figure looks quite plain. After about 20 minutes of straightening up and changing out the left hand (the peg stayed in the body this time!!) the figure started coming together. Ever since I saw the promo pics of the figure, I knew I wanted the stance that depicted for the product on this page. Once he was there, I had to step back and say "wow." Unlike the regular Joker, this figure is able to "hunch" a bit better to match what we saw on the screen. The mask fits perfectly on the additional headsculpt and the additional glove holds it tightly as well. Again as in the other HT reviews, I don't think the figure would stand on its own forever, so I utilized the handy included stand. So what do you get for almost $200? A great figure, the best headsculpt available, an alternate headsculpt, the bank robbery mask, two extra hands, jokerized $1 bills, jokerized playing cards, a glock with extended clip, a machine gun used during the Batpod scenes, and incredible duffle bag, four grenades, three smoke grenades, and a foam punchout to keep the grandes separated in the bag. While not as detailed (for obvious reasons) as the original Joker, this version is certainly worth the investment, especially if you have the regular joker and want to change the headsculpts. In the end, it becomes a stunning addition to your collection that will have onlookers in awe. It definitley looks like Heath stepped off the screen and into a display case. The product arrived promptly and in good condition. It was a hit with my son, for whom I had purchased it. My father is the exact same person as the father in the movie, and this was a gag gift for christmas 2007. I had intentions of buying him the real 3 foot floor lamp, but I saw the demise of that lamp being the same as in the movie with my mother. Therfore, I bought the night light and this was just as satisfying to my father, the "Christmas Story" fanatic. It came in more than enough time to be given as a gift for christmas, and was delivered before the expected delivery date. The seller was great and the product gave the expected result. What a great gag gift! My brother opened it and immediately started laughing. It is a great gift that also serves a purpose. I love it!
