(Soundwave disguised as Blaster!) I purchased a multitude of transfomers in this price range when Amazon heavily discounted them just prior to Xmas. This one was my least favorite. It is difficult to transform in comparison to the others and I don't think the small hinges will survive my sons attempts when I am away. He likes it but not as well as some of the others. I thought Dropshot from this series was much better done. His legs are a little on the thin/fragile side and he is top heavy which makes it hard for him to stand but who the heck cares since he's cool! This is just what my grandchild wanted for Christmas, and my son played with Transformers when he was his age. Multi-generational!!!! I've been a fan of Soundwave and never got to pick this piece up when the Cybertron series was going on. Glad to see this re-colored re-issue. Certainly doesn't bear any resemblence to the autobot Blaster, including the 'minicon' inside as Blaster never had a bird. Except for the color scheme and the autobot symbol, this bears more resemblence to Soundwave than anything else. That said, I think it's a real cool toy. The chest compartment that opens up to reveal the 'bombs' is really cool, and you can even store on the weapons in there, instead of the mini-con Blockroc. The jet mode is very much like a F-117A Nighthawk. The transformation is a little on the difficult side, compared to most other toys I have, but it's not that bad. (Great fun for the little guys) My three year old son (and his four year old sister!) is a huge fan of the DC Superfirends toys. I had found the Batmobile at a local store and had been looking for the Batwing for a while. When the Batwing arrived, he immidiatly started playing with it and has played with it everyday since. I was a little dissapointed because it did not do as many things as the Batmoble did (make different noises, change the body style at the push of a button) but my kids LOVE it and do not care about these things. I would STRONGLY recommend this toy (or any other of this line) to any parent looking for a toy which is a good durable toy with recognizable super heroes. It is well made and easy for little fingers to manipulate. It gets played with rough in my household, but is none the worse for wear. Unlike other super-hero toys out today it is not frightening for younger children and it is easy to manipulate. To sum it up; I love it, my son, loves it and my daughter loves it. AND I know it will not be broken into a million pieces any time soon! What more can I want? My husband and I are unapologetic in our geekdom and just love buying comic book toys for our toddlers. He is poseable, you can switch between new and old worn-out treads (with a little work,) and he can be "Repaired" when falls apart (but if you're careful, he doesn't fall apart often!) You push down on him gently and "drive" him accross carpet, he doesn't have wheels on the undersides of his treads so the gears in his wheels turn so it's more like the movie than a Construct-A-Bot Wall-e. Even though Construct-A-Bot can turn into a cube and is magnetized, the U-Repair has a storage space where you can place the treads you don't need or any stuff he "collected." Overall it's a fun toy and I would recommend it and a Construct-A-Bot Eve if you want an Eve and Wall-e. If this toy is for a 3-4y/o, prepare to REPAIR it constantly. Once the globe is floating it is annoyingly susceptable to disturbance which results in the globe slamming into its base. You can't "play" with it in any real sense and it doesn't permit stable rotation to any angle. I am very disappointed with this purchase. Being a science geek, this looked like a very interesting knick-knack. I purchased this as a gift for my father, who has given me a 'Mova' globe as a gift in the past. There have been 'levitating globes' available for a few years, but they have been based on simple 'attractive' levitation, where a magnet+electromagnet *above* the globe balances against gravity. The Levitron AG Globe is entirely different ... it levitates a globe from *below*, without any overhanging arm. I understand how they do it, and compared to any other levitating globe I've heard of, this product is far more impressive. Pros: Works as advertised ... it suspends a globe about 1/4 of an inch above the base. A product that performs *real* levitation at all is impressive. Cons: Pricey. It would be better to have a smaller glove levitate much higher ... the 'clearance' is fairly small ... not enough to even put a finger through the 'levitation' gap. I'm such a geek. I still have no idea why I spent $61 plus $10 shipping for this thing. I got it from UPS about 2 hours ago. I excitedly opened the box, read the instructions and put the globe onto the base. it took several tries before I found the 'sweet spot'. Viola! My globe was floating. I stared at it for about 2 minutes, crinkled my nose then I was bored. Here's the problem. I thought I could move the globe, maybe make it spin. You can barely touch the globe before it falls out of the center and gets sucked into one of the outer magnets. I was hoping it wouldn't be this touchy. So basically all it does IS levitate the globe. Look at the photo. That what it does. Nothing. I'm staring at it right now on top of my desk. big woop. So..........it is possible to use magnets to suspend a small globe. I you GOTTA witness it for yourself then spend the $71. (transformed on the idea of a millenium falcon) (Hard to play with) (GREAT GIFT) (Fun for couple of minutes) well i guess if you never played with transformers as a kid you don't understand how they work. you really have to pop them hard into place. if you don't, it WILL fall apart. and you have to push HARD to get them to make certain positions, etc. i can see how those not familiar might either be concerned if they push too hard it will break or think they have it locked in place but they really don't. it may take some tinkering to get it right if you aren't very familiar with the concept. otherwise, for us (both my husband and i loved transformers as a kid and star wars) this was lots of fun to put together! and my son has gotten HOURS of play and enjoyment. my only complaint is that i can't readily find replacement gun parts. my son took the falcon over to a friends where there was a 2 year old- who shot it and lost the parts. :( but even without the shooter parts, my son (who is 4.5) ADORES this thing. worth every cent! If you're a fan of star wars and transformers, then this is the toy for you. But if like me you are looking for a posable action figure, accurately depicting the lovable Coraline, then you found a great buy. Simply put, it's a beautiful figure and though the body is a bit on the fragile side, I'm not expecting to play with it so for me, it's a perfect buy. if however you're looking for something to give your little tike, steer away form this or lose your money at your own risk (and you will lose it). As for facial expressions, clothing and colors, exceptional seems like the right word. My three-year old daugther LOVES Coraline, and this is the only Coraline doll we could find. It's really cute and looks wonderful, however it's not for actually playing with. All the hands and feet have broken off several times and needed to be reattached with superglue.
