My son received this for his third birthday and he has not put it down yet (and now it's been a month)It's pretty durable and it's been thrown, rolled down steps, and kicked. The picture is a little different that the one he received. We have a dark navy blue with orange under carraige (this looks black/orange) In the front of our jeep is a working Tow (the picture doesn't seem to show this) but it makes a gear noise when it pulls his other cars towrads it and my son loves to hear the sound over and over again! Our Diego is in a different outfit then this picture but the dinasour looks the same. The jeep has two sides that can close inward to make the flat walls of the jeep or open to make the "dinasour transport center". The back door folds out to make a ramp for the animal, and the top luggage also transforms into a highroof with you put its flaps down. (Disappointed) (Awesome little guy) (nice for display, but not much else) (An undeniably cool toy) I love the ODST's. I think they're some of the coolest looking characters in the Halo games and I was really excited about FINALLY getting one for my collection shelf. The good news is- the character looks very cool. He's even shorter than the Chief- so it looks good scale wise. The bad news is- they did a TERRIBLE job with the pose joints. The legs can't move. The arms don't move well enough to even hold the gun. The gun is too small- so small you can't even swap it with one of the MC guns for variety- it's just not possible. The gun has a hole in it for the peg which- BTW - doesn't even fit in his back so you can't even mount the gun that way. In the End Very cool character done as a very poorly constructed figure. Don't bother unless you're a ODST freak (like me). I recently purchased 3 ODST Marines from Amazon. The good: They look great. The bad: That's about it. Two of the marines had defects- one's hand fell off as soon as I opened the packaging, and the other's elbow was completely backwards. That wouldn't be a problem if the figure was a Spartan, but for the marine it completely ruined the figure because the elbow joint only bends. In the Spartan figures, they rotate, so you could just twist the elbow around. Even the perfect one had issues. One, the hand was too small to hold the gun, two, the articulation is TERRIBLE compared to the other figures, so the figure can only hold the battle rifle up at waist level. Don't get me wrong; I really like McFarlane. But for the ODST they did a less than stellar job. I love mine. The Mcfarlane Halo 3 toys are not as durable as many people would like. But they make up for it in detail and accuracy to the source material. This ODST is arguably my favorite of the bunch so far, neck to neck with my steel colored CQB Spartan that I love to run around with in the game as well. The detail, and paintjob is just superb. And like others have said, his scale in relation to the Spartans is great. It's really nice to see the regular UNSC soldiers represented in a set. Without looking so... dorky like in the old Halo I figures from years ago. Hoping to get some UNSC pilots, regular troopers, and hey... who else wants one of those awesome female Dropship pilots!!! =) I love the detail on the ODST but the first time I tried to pose him with his BR, which is not easy considering how small his hands are, his one hand snapped off. I've had this problem with only one other figure in my collection: Halo 2 active camo Arbiter(leg broke off) Also a couple of armor pieces come off way too easily. :-\ Maybe its just the one I got. I had already bought a couple of McFarlane Halo figures before I bought this one, so I already knew that the articulation and presentaion (armor detail) of the ODST would be pretty good. However, I've found that each McFarlane Halo figure has their own unique fault to them. Some can't stand up on their own very well. Others have limbs that fall off easily. And others have armor plates that should just be ignored, they fall off so quickly. The fault of this ODST figure is that he can't hold his weapon very well. Sure, he can hold it at his waist or mid chest, but he can't maneuver his arms around the chest plate so that he can look through the scope of his battle rifle. There are other flexibility issues in his waist and legs, and they are all because of the armor. This is bothersome, but the way that the ODST is presented, with incredible detail, including his height which is a head shorter than his Spartan Super-Soldier comrades, is very impressive. Overall, this figure has some articulation issues, but is an otherwise incredibly enjoyable action figure and desk prop. He was struggling with 5th grade math this year and I used this toy as an incentive to get him to bring up his math grade. It worked perfectly. I surprised him with it one day and you would have thought he was on cloud nine. He has it sitting on his dresser in his room. He is mighty proud of it. You must be careful not to handle this toy to rough. It could be broken quite easily if forced into the wrong position. My son got frustrated transforming it the first couple of times but now he has it downpat! This is a fun toy! Easy to change from truck to robot to truck. Not recommended for little kids 6 and under. This Optimus Prime (Leader Class) figure standing at an awesome 13 inches tall, now infused with power from the Allspark, can go into stealth mode - hence the new colors. A more sneaky version of the Autobots head honcho it's really just a repaint of the first Leader Class model. The detail on this toy is impressive - from realistic rubber tires to individually moving fingers. Truck mode even has a working horn and cab lights. There are not as many flames as the original version (which could be a good thing) but the nighttime blue look really adds a whole different attitude to Optimus. The transformation process is challenging but not impossible as every part has a logical place to go. This version of Prime sports the automorph action (which basically is an automatic finish to the transformation into robot mode) with working lights. Unlike many Transformer figures both the vehicle and the robot modes are top notch. I can't decide which form to display this guy in because they are both so cool! I have transformed countless robots in my lifetime but I have to say this is one the best quality Transformers I've seen. Nightwatch Optimus Prime is a great toy and one of the few 40 dollar figures you will find that is actually worth the cash. This is the same figure as the first prime but with the dark blue paint scheme. This figure looks much better than the first prime. The first prime although original, the red, white, and silver paint just didn't look that good and the legs look very bulky. A week before the movie came out in the theaters I saw 30+ primes at Toys R Us and Target, of course they were all sold out during next few days. I didnt buy it because it just didnt look that good. Then I saw this few days ago at Target and it looks really good so I got it. It's well built and huge. By the way I saw the masterpiece version of Megatron at a toy store(Bandai Japanese version, I dont think it's released in USA due to the GUN design issue. It's huge and made of all plastic like this prime and the shop wanted $150 which is rip. If they release here for $40 I would get it. Optimus Prime lives! And he can fight in the dark, too! It hasnt all the fancy details that the deluxe Batman has but its still pretty impressive. Action Cape Batman really did a hit to millions of kids all over the world as his amazing new features! the sculpt is good, nice detail in the Batsuit, and decent Christian Bale likeness. the nylon-like glider cape retracts into the figure's back when you crank Batman's left arm and pops out for cool effect when you press on his stomach. his other arm is spring-loaded at the shoulder to throw the Batarang accessory the figure comes with. sadly, since both arms are needed to perform a special action feature, they aren't very poseable. the pop-out cape feature duplicates the scene from the trailer where Batman does a freefall off a building, assumedly releasing his glider cape to soar across Gotham. but Batman fans will miss the billowing cloth cape this figure lacks. kids will like the action features and some collectors eager for TDK merch might pick these up to add to their collection, but more picky collectors are better off waiting until the 14-inch Ultimate Batman comes out in late May. I pay more for all this that for my toy. Perfect for the Gears of War fans out there. These are very detailed, nicely painted figures. I bought this for my "Man Cave" or "Lair" as they are called. It's standing on top of my DVD rack along with Cole, and with room for Dom and Baird. The detail on these are amazing. Although I had some trouble getting the guns to fit into the hands. The legs went into position really easy and I got it to stand on the first try and he hasn't fallen yet. I can't wait for Series 2! This is one of the best looking toys out there right now. Anyone who is a fan of the game or collectors that like detail, then this is the figure for you. I seriously recomend getting this figures. My son is a great fan of Gears of War. And when he saw he could collect the figures from the game he was thrilled. They are placed in a safe place right along with the Halo 3 figures. Not recommended for play, these figures would not be that durable. But a great addition to a colletor.
