(space ship success)

『This Space Police Enforcer is overall a great lego. However, like most of the larger lego toys, once you complete assembly, they do not "hold together" very tightly and often fall apart when you try to move them.
Overall, it is a great toy. My son saved his Christmas money to buy this and has really enjoyed playing with it in smaller ships. The large ship will not hold together long enough for him to allow it to fly. Price wise, I would hope for the money spent on the toy, lego would make them stay snapped together better. Maybe if the price of it was about $30 less it would ease the pain of it falling apart.

『Pros:
-Is two feet long everywhere and two feet wide in some places. IT LOOKS AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!

-The gunning pods are awesome, EACH WITH THEIR OWN GUNNER!!! Also, they separate into mini ships

-Opens up to reveal a mini-base w/two chairs, equipment, and a rover

-Comes w/ 5 minifigs+ a statue and a cute repair bot. The driver has a freeze ray gun

- Kranxx's vehicle shoots a bullet, which pops open any of 4 prison containment pods
Cons:
-The fire and antenna on Kranxx's vehicle fall off lots. Also, the wings are really hard to put on.

-If you put the hinges for the base in backwards accidentally, it breaks every time you open it.

-The tools in the base fall off a lot. Sometimes the prison containment pods don't work right.』

(Legos are always awesome!)

『My seven year old is very into legos and was kept busy by this project. He was able to make this with very few calls for help from Mom. I thought this would take him weeks, but it really took him a number a sessions over a few days. The only downside is that it is pretty fragile once assembled.』

『My son is 8yrs old and he received this as a Christmas gift. I consider him pretty advanced at building legos. He will sit for hours and is good at reading instructions. It took him 4hours to build this, by himself. He carries it around everywhere and other kids are excited and amazed at his creation. I would recommend it....but only if your child has patience with putting alot of peices together. It is awesome when its complete!!』

『Bought this as a Christmas gift for my grandson in Michigan. I really don't know who had more fun him or my husband! He enjoyed getting down on the floor and "supervising" the construction of the airplane. It was great fun to watch too! The instructions are very well written and kids (and adults) love it.

『I ordered these for my nephew. He loves to build things and these were perfect. My order arrived on time and in good condition. Would recommend this seller to anyone.』

(Need more long pieces!)

『Overall, this is a pretty good set of Lincoln Logs, but as usual with sets of building toys, there aren't nearly enough in one set to really do much with. I am disappointed in the sizes of the pieces. There are tons of small ones and not enough medium or long ones. You can only build one roof with one chimney at a time.

I did not notice any toxic smell, however, so I was happy about that.

Our kids will have fun with these, but we'll probably have to buy more to make them worth it.』

『My neice loved this toy. I was so happy she enjoyed such a classic. However, I was dissappointed to read on the tin that the product was made in China. Why is an American classic toy based on the American President Abraham Lincoln made in China? Let us make it here in America and I would give it 5 stars all around.』

『I haven't even opened the bags holding the wooden logs yet, so won't comment on them. There are definitely fewer of them than the set I had as a child.

The other reviewer who commented on the toxic smell was right - it's potent. Luckily I was buying for myself, not a child. I once bought a mahjong box imported from China with the same smell...2 years later, it hasn't gone away.

The tin is thin and cheap. My childhood set (from the '70s) came in a cardboard tube with a plastic top, and it was infinitely more sturdy than this "collectible" tin. In addition, the top was held on with clear tape that left a thick sticky residue when I removed it. I once bought a popcorn tin at a dollar store that suffered from the same problem.... I didn't expect it with this tin, for $30+. Sad. And I have to add $3 to the price I paid for the tin just for the naphtha I used trying to remove the residue! I also had to be extremely careful, so as not to bend the cheapo tin or its lid.

On the plus side, the logs seem to be better stained than the set I had as a kid - darker and more uniform, especially the green ones. Of course, as I said, I haven't actually opened the bags yet.』

『I purchased this as a christmas present for my nephew, remembering all the fun i had with such a toy when I was a child. Well, when he opened the box there was more "air" that parts and the pasts that were there were all quite small,easy to lose or misplace. I guess we can no longer buy on memories.』

『Purchased for my Grandson remembering my Erector set days over half a century ago. Many parts missing and twice the quantity of other parts. The packer grabbed two bags of one set of items and omitted the others. In other words--unusable. There is no number to contact the manufacturer, only email which they didn't answer. Waited two weeks and found another email contact which they didn't answer either. The buyer is on his or her own if theres a problem. This is not in any way the quality of the sets of the past. Pretty much stamped out Chinese junk. Beware.』

(Over all, it's a good toy)

『We purchased this erector set for our 7-year old son for Christmas. He began playing with it at once. He is mechanically minded so he was excited about the possibilities of things that he could create. The bolts and nuts are small and a little difficult to use, even for me. It may be a good idea for the manufacturer to include a set of tweezers. I had to help a great deal with construction; but, our son is very interactive in helping. This is an opportunity for together time and a teaching in working together. I like that most all of the construction pieces are metal. It makes the set more durable. Some of the plastic pieces are not in exact proportion with the metal pieces which makes construction more challenging. However, this opens up opportunity for alternative ideas of how to manipulate something to make it work (taking the lemons and making lemonade.)The directions included are pretty easy to follow. I had to go back and reconnect a part more than once after I realized that I had bolted something in the wrong hole. Over all, I think this is a good toy. Reason being, it gives itself to creative, problem solving thinking (for adult and child, alike,) and, if your not in a hurry, an opportunity to do something creative together. If neither you nor your child are not mechanically inclined it will be frustrating.』
