『I got this for my son's 5th birthday. He loves it and so do I. So clever, the parts are movable so you can move the flags, cannon, etc. from the boat to the lair, etc. Comes with a cool shark that can swallow the pirate which you can then remove from a slit in the stomach. Also comes with a treasure chest and skeleton that can be reeled in with the harpoon. Seems really well made and sturdy. Also has suction cups so you can attach the lair to the side of the bathtub. Ship floats so this makes a great bathtub toy as well. Can't wait to get the big pirate ship to go along with it. Great toy for the price.』

『My sons love this table! It was a little time consuming to build, but overall a lot of fun! the wood pieces are sturdy and very durable, I really like the storage bins!』

(O.k. for the money - I'd buy Thomas brand if had it to do over again.)
『This set claims to be compatible with Thomas Train. Well for the most part it is, but not 100%, especially if you plan on using Thomas Engine motorized. There are some other drawbacks as well. The track is metric and slightly narrower than true Thomas track so Thomas cars don't fit completely down into the grooves. The supplied Chinese cars that come with this set do fit better, though their quality is not even close as good as Thomas brand. The bridge in the center of photo shown is positioned too close to the "downhill" slope of track and taller cars will not fit underneath it. Because the track is slightly narrower, motorized Thomas Tank Engine, especially, tends to run off of the track and will not stay on. I removed the "rubber band" edging on the front wheels only which allowed more slippage and kept Thomas Engine on the track more reliably. I know this set is not really intended per say for Thomas otorized engine, but a Thomas brand set would work much better being Thomas brand track is wider, and deeper grooved. You get what you pay for as they say, and if I had to do it over again, I'd spent the extra money and went authentic Thomas brand. Also, the crane has a small wooden dowel that sticks into a hole with no latching or locking it in so my two year-old pulls the crane out regularly. After using some extra Thomas track I had laying around, I modified the layout enough to position the bridge farther down toward the front over the flat portion of the "downsloped" piece so that the cars would fit under the bridge and then glued the entire set down to make it all permanent. If you're a handy type, you can tweak it to work decent, but if i had it to do over knowing what I know now, I'd just paid the extra for genuine Thomas brand stuff. The wheels ont the Chinese cars are not attached as well either as on the Thomas brand, so if you're like me with another smaller child to be in the room as well, you might want to avoid any possiblilty of loose wheels and stick with Thomas brand, which is much higher quality, and the wheels seem to be actually round, and attached in safer fashion. Other than that, my 2+ year old doesn't know the difference and has a ball playing all day with it. If you're just buying it to use the cars included as a push only set, it's definately fine for that.』

My son plays with all his toys on top of this table, plus it looks nice and does not wabble. There are even baskets underneath to store other toys. Very nice toy. I love it (but not as much as him)』

(fun, but not great)
『My son, 9, loves science and has been having fun making these (with some adult help), but so far, the fun has been in making them; he does not like the candy enough to eat it after he eats it.』

(Tastes TERRIBLE !!)
『After two separate attempts at making sour candy that was actually edible, we've given up on this toy. Both times, I worked along side my son and made sure the instructions were followed exactly. Once the citric acid and flavoring were added to the sugar/corn syrup mixture, it began to smell, fizzle and bubble. After the (miniscule) molds were filled, we tried it. It tasted horrible! One lick and we threw the rest away. It's not that it was sour - we could have handled that. It was that it had no flavor whatsoever that resembled the added flavoring; instead, it tasted awful. Extremely bitter, acidic, not sweet in the slightest. I used a candy thermometer and removed it promptly when it hit 300F, or crack stage. It's as if the citric acid had a reaction with the sugar mixture and completely ruined any good taste it may have had.

My son saved his allowance for this toy. What a huge disappointment.

There was nothing in this box that you probably don't have at home (except citric acid). I recommend following any candy recipe you get online or in a cookbook instead of this product. Candy molds are very inexpensive to buy. You'd spend less than you would on this product and have a more satisfying experience!

I gave it 3 stars on educational value because my son learned two TBSP = 1/8 cup. The recipe actually says to add 1/8cup water...I've never seen 1/8 cup called for in a recipe! We had to look it up to find it's the same as two TBSP...which was a learning moment. Other than that - a big waste of time and money.』

『Daughter begged for this product because she had had several other kits similar to it and she loves sour candy. She did make some sour gel on Christmas Day but has yet to make anything else. I did take te time to look at the recomemnded activites and did see hat the projects do teach scientific process and measurment skills. Might take it to school and make some sour candy with my first graders.』

『I purchased Sour Candy Factory for my 11 year old grand daughter. On Christmas Day after all the presents were open, she and her two cousins were excited to make some sour candy. It was the biggest disaster, was entirely unsuitable for any age child, made a big mess, and the molds were so tiny as to be completely useless - the hot, sticky mess ran all over the couter. The toy is not only unsuitable but very dangerous and to be marketed as a fun toy is utterly misleading and untrue. It is a horrible product that was aimed at children who requested it based on the promise of being able to make sour candy.』

『We got this for my son's first birthday because he loves to drop things and roll cars. It was great until my nephew came over this weekend. Gulp! I keep hoping he hid them here and didn't take them home in his pockets where they would be lost forever. I can't find the cars and apparently there are NO REPLACEMENT PARTS. Hot Wheels don't roll past the first curve... so at the moment we have a toy that doesn't function since there are no cars that work on it.

I would give it 4 stars if we could still play with it.』

We received this as a gift and were excited to open it, but quickly disappointed when we realized that it would not work with the original Cars that we have been collecting (the kind you can buy at most stores that say "The World of Cars" on the package).

So, one star for this product. Feels like false advertising to be Cars branded, but then only to work with the two mini-cars that are provided (mini-Lightning and mini-The King).

Seems like the company could have designed it to be a little bigger with slightly wider tracks and then all of the original Cars would be able to work on it.

By the way, in our experience, we tried some Matchbox cars on it, and they tended to be too long for the track and got stuck.』

『I purchased this toy for my 2 year old son who LOVES the movie Cars. It's the perfect size for him to carry around, it's got a nice carrying handle. I have found that regular hotwheels or matchbox cars tend to move slowly and get stuck on the way down and the regular die cast Pixar Cars are just to darn big to use. The perfect cars to use (even better then the ones that come with Raceway) are from the Pixar Cars Mini Adventure series. I am very happy with this toy - not too expensive and has kept my son's attention for more then 5 minutes!』

『my 29mth old loves this toy. He uses it to carry all his "broken down" cars and trucks. I like that the trailer is open sided, helps toddlers learn control when plling his truck around. Works will with his other Plan City toys. Small enough to take to restaurants, doctor's offices, and any other place where you need a few small toys. The first "E-Zero" company, Plan Toys makes their toys out of recycled rubberwood, and vegi dyes. I love a company that is both child and eco-friendly.』

#1 - it comes unhitches very easily
#2 - the back gate does not stay up

Between those two frustrations, my son is very un-nerved by the toy. However, it's really cute how the cars fit on it and he seems to really like the concept. I thought ours was defective, but it seems others have the same issue with the back gate. I would expect for $13+ dollars for the details to be worked out. I am going to return it.』

I like how open ended and sturdy they are. He is two and gets really frustrated that the truck and bed comes off so easily. They are connected by one little parts and come apart very easily when the child is not careful. I think older he gets, the easier it would be to play with this particular truck.』

『After reading reviews on this product and researching it online, I bought this for my 6 year old grandson. He loves Hot Wheels. This is one of his favorite pieces. We got several other sets that go with it also but this was the best piece by far. I have to admit that I've also enjoyed playing with it with him!』

(A real little workhorse)
『My son fell in love with the Bruder trucks at the toy store when he was 2 years old. The skid-steer loader was the first one we got for him, and he's been happily playing with it for about a year and a half at this point. We chose it in part because it was smaller than some of the others and a better size for him at the time.

My son is not at all gentle on his trucks: he expects them to work and work hard. This little loader has gone through gravel, sandpiles, mulch and macaroni in its time, and it's still in great shape. We just give it a rinse when it gets too dirty to come back inside. The mechanism which allows the arm to remain raised in the air has worn slightly and slips if there is any weight in the bucket (probably from sand getting into it); beyond that it has worn very well indeed.

We have since purchased a number of other Bruder trucks for our son and they are among his favorite toys.』

(Beautiful little train)
『My four-year-old son is obsessed with Thomas and Friends and saw Lady in the movie, "The Magic Railroad." He "earned" her as a reward for good behavior and is very proud to have her because she's "magic." She is a beautiful little train - and I do mean little! She is much smaller than the other engines, but very detailed and lovely. One of my personal favorites!』

『Ok, I like Thomas and Friends as much as the next guy, but the prices do not reflect quality.

Essentially, Lady is a plastic toy with a wooden block in the center. The painted surfaces of the wood appear strong, but the pain on the plastic parts rub away without much effort. Now, Lady is sitting on her track with one eyebrow ':)

Questionable quality, 90 day warranty, lack of educational value (except for the DVD series). I'll give a generous 3 stars overall.』

『Lady is the beautiful magenta engine with gold trimming who holds the key to the secret of the Magic Railroad. If you've seen the movie Thomas and The Magic Railroad featuring Peter Fonda and Alec Baldwin, you'll be familiar with this charming Lady.

Lady is a straightforward engine (meaning, she doesn't have any moveable parts), but she is attractive. Although my son asked for her, he doesn't take her out much for some reason! (He has dozens of the trains for the wooden tracks--and even has a die cast Lady. He *did* play the diecast version to death, though, wearing off her paint job!)

If your little one loves the Thomas movie and seems enthralled by Lady, it will likely be a welcome addition to the collection. You may want to pick up Diesel with Pinchy, though, so your child can replay the scene in the movie!』

The Good: Impress friends and family with a tiny remote-control car that clings to walls and ceilings.

The Challenging: Car clings but doesn't advance on slightly rough surfaces.

In a Nutshell: Compete with different Nano cars on a smooth wall or ceiling for a unique race.


The launcher propels Nano cars at high speeds, allowing them to defy gravity and climb up walls.
Driving Up the Wall
With a sleek, lightweight design and blue detailing, the Nano climbs walls and even drives upside down. The controller/charger features a steering wheel, forward and reverse throttle, trim adjuster to optimize steering, and storage/charging compartment.

Before taking the Nano for a test drive, an adult should help install the controller/charger's six "AA" batteries (not included). The Nano itself comes equipped with a rechargeable battery, and the car's working headlights will flash when battery power is low.

To recharge, simply park the Nano inside the controller/charger. A flashing red light indicates the battery is charging, and in approximately one-half hour, the car will be ready to race.

Smooth Surface for Best Performance
Like any race car, the Nano must be operated in a suitable environment. Large, empty indoor spaces are best, and in order for the Nano to cling, all floors and walls must be clean and smooth. Left and right buttons on the controller allow you to adjust the trim and make the car drive straight.

On a smooth surface, the Nano has impressive scale-speed performance, reaching a speed of eight inches-per-second on the floor, and five inches-per-second on the wall or ceiling. Pushing the forward throttle to achieve maximum speed, then quickly turning the steering wheel, causes the Nano to spin.

A switch on the back of the Nano activates the Venturi fan, giving the Nano its suction power -- allowing it to cling to walls and ceilings.

Race Your Friends
This green-and-black Nano is one of a series of lightweight Zero Gravity cars. Different models of Nano cars (sold separately) are wired to different frequencies, allowing multiple cars to race simultaneously.
