(Love these) 『Both of my boys love these. As another reviewer said I took a leap of faith based on the reviews that my kids would like these. I thought they were somewhat expensive (I paid $39) but they have been totally worth it. The cars/trucks are a perfect size for their hands and it is pretty impressive how smooth they roll. We have had them in water, sand and all over our house. I was glad I bought the 15 piece bucket as there is such a nice variety. They also work with the Megablocks car transporter truck, which the boys also love. I am always finding these cars, airplanes, helicopter and trucks in it. They only thing they find difficult is hooking the pieces together, which is a task I sometimes find a little tricky myself, but is a cool option (especially with the train).』

(Nice!) 『My 19 mo old son has only played with this toy for a day, so this review is based on what i've seen so far.
He loves the choo choo train noise it makes. He can easily put the train at the top of the platfrom and push the sign to make the train go down. 9 out of 10 times, no where on the track he puts the train, it can go down the track. That's a big plus for me cuz he doesn't get frustrated and start to complain about not being about to get the train to do what he wants. Surprisingly once the train is on the track, it stays on and goes all the way down w/o popping off, even if the train is going fast (i.e. from the top and perfect alignment). Again, nice because that's what they're expecting it to do.
My one complaint though is that the base is probably not heavy enough. Could stand to be a little heavier cuz if your kid is like mine, he likes to really beat on the lever to make the music go. He hits too hard that sometimes the train pops off cuz the whole base shifts. I've been trying to teach him not to hit it too hard. Also would be nice if they would have designed some sort of built in storage for the little trains. But the two little trains fit in the middle so that's how we store it.

He loves the cute choo-choo sound it makes when we press on the lever to send the trains and toys down the track-slide. It also has a chug-chug-chug sound of a train engine. I said it had good educational value because we read books about trains and it's nice for a baby to be able to hear the sounds in this toy that we read about in our books. At age 9 months, he isn't quite able to put the train engine at the top of the toy, press the lever and send it down the track, but after a while, he'll learn to use it himself. She was amused for about 5 min and since then has probably played with it for an hour total. Not sure if this is just ours, but I noticed that you really had to be close to the car for it to receive the signals. All of the batteries were new, anyway, if you walk along with it it works great. She did have some fun once it accidentally went over her foot and then mine. I am hoping once she's a bit older she may enjoy it more, right now the controls are still not intuitive enough for her.
I personally would prefer a bit more range on the remote than the 3-5 feet it now works in, maybe its designed for kids to go along with it.
Pros: - Cute - Not too noisy - Simple to use and doesn't go too fast which is nice for this age - Nice material, soft not breakable plastic
Cons: - Not very happy with the range on the remote - Daughter doesn't enjoy as much as I expected (can I say that? :))
