They love building different track layouts and watching the super fast cars fly around. The track is easy to snap together and the loop is definitely cool... We have a lot of the other Shake n Go's but these are the fastest! I had a few minor charging issues with the cars when we first got them, but I found out if you just make sure the cars "Snap" into the charger and the light indicator is ON... they charge and run just fine! I do wish Fisher Price sold some additional cars and track pieces, maybe even an additional charger (I agree with the other reviewer...some Pixar Cars would be a great addition)...We absolutely love this product! 』
(Would be great if the cars worked) 『Got this for my 3 year old son's bday and he loved it. I don't think it takes that long to charge the cars with the rechargeable battery so that actually was a positive to the new cars. And the new cars go really fast and the track is really nice. However, a week later the red car wouldn't charge. It would go but very slow no matter how long I charged it. Called fisher-price and they sent me a new one. The day after we got the new red car the same thing happened to the blue one. Called fisher-price again and they sent me a new blue car. I asked if this was a problem with other people and they said no but I see on here that it is. If it happens again I plan on calling them back and asking for a refund of the $65 I paid for this. Not to mention that none of my son's other original shake cars even fit on this track so I had to keep the old track and the whole point was to replace it! :)』

(Best Shake n Go Raceway yet) 『This playset is the best version of the Shake n Go's to date. We've had the other two versions over the past several years and while they were very popular, they had their limitations. The best things about this new xtreme playset are: 1) it reconfigurable which gives it a lot more versatility 2) the cars are very fast (and have been reliable so far unlike the other reviewer's comments) 3) the loop really works and is a cool feature 4) its more durable than the other tracks--stays together and can be pulled apart and reconfigured relatively easily by the kids. If there is a downside, it is that our other Shake n go's aren't compatible with this track. Would be great to have some more car choices at this smaller scale (McQueen and the King would be awesome!).』
(Could Have Been Awesome) 『Both of my younger boys wanted this toy very much (great marketing Fisher Price). They were excited when they received it as a birthday present and they were not disappointed when we got it put together and started playing with it. The cars move really fast and with the loop, ramps and barrels the whole family was laughing and enjoying the toy in just a few minutes. The problem seems to be with the cars. The red car charged&ran fine, but after only 1 charge, the blue car wouldn't charge enough to even make the loop. So, we took it back to where we purchased it (nationwide toy retailer selling it for $15 less than Amazon) as defective and got another set. (Just the car would have been ok with me--but their choice.) Anyway, got the second one home and same situation. Both cars worked great out of the box, but after 1 or 2 charges, the blue car wouldn't get up to speed (red car still fine). So, its going back again--my boys are very disappointed as they loved this toy. The set did come with Annie and Clarabel but they were die cast metal instead of the wood. At first I thought it wouldn't be a problem but when we returned home from our Christmas vacation my son found that the wheels were not spaced wide enough apart and were not big enough to work on the grooves of his wooden tracks. Plus, the magnets on these cars are not oriented properly to attach correctly to his wooden Thomas.
Unfortunately the time has passed for me to return these. But if you do order them and want the cars to fit with your wooden railway I would confirm with the seller beforehand so you are not disappointed.』

Learning Curve has recalled all defective versions of this train, and so you should not be concerned with purchasing this or any other red (or yellow) train.
---Update--- My daughter has now had this for over a year now, and James is still one of her favorites. The quality of the train is as good as the day we bought it; Learning Curve's promise of quality has proven itself many times over.

(Loud, obnoxious and no-fun!) 『I bought this for my 3-year old's birthday, and what a disappointment! I thought that the simplicity of the toy would make it more fun for my son to play with it, but it just makes it very frustrating, even for adults. First of all, there is no standing position for the dinosaur. Once you turn it on, a very LOUD motor turns on and the toy proceeds to turn around and around and around. Without us even touching the remote. The only way to make it stop is to pick up the dinosaur and turn off the power switch! The remote is a joke: there is no way to control the direction the dinosaur goes in! What kind of remote "control" is that? It only has one function - a button you can press or not press. When you press the button, the dinosaur moves forward in whichever direction he is facing. But remember, that he has been spinning in circles since he's been turned on. So it basically ends up being a random direction that he heads off into. Then when you let go of the button, he stops moving forward, but continues his annoying turning in circles. My son had become very frustrated everytime we have tried to play with it, because basically, he can't make it go in the direction he wants. Finally, because the toy is in constant motion from the time you turn it on, it drains batteries faster than it spins! We had to replace batteries after just two times of play and we did not even play for too long. I have not bothered to replace the batteries and now my son just has an expensive foam dinosaur with which to do some imaginative play.』
(Simple fun for the dinosaur lover in your family!) 『I purchased this for my 3 1/2 year old nephew at Christmas. After all the wrapping paper was ripped from the packaging, the fun began. I can say I was kinda surprised with the quality of the item, being a lot more sturdy and well finished than I anticipated.
After we popped in the batteries in the remote and dino itself we were off to the kitchen for a hard floor. After turning the dino on and placing it on the floor, we noticed it spinning in place. After my nephew yelling it was broken I pressed the button on the remote and the dino took off!
Basically the spinning motion is to "aim" the dino, and pressing and holding the button sends him off in that direction. It was actually kinda cool since my nephew caught on really quick and enjoyed the speed and motion.
The toy seems pretty well built, and the soft foam coating is a nice feature for both kids, and your furniture! I think the only thing I would add to this toy is dino sounds, but that's a minor thing and isn't a deal breaker for this type of toy.』 『King of the Jurassic forest!
