(not a rough boy toy) 『Bought two for Christmas. Boys are 6 and 4. They love the trucks!! But I DONT!!!! I know that by the end of January something on the truck will be broken. Everthing is plastic and fragile. My boys want to push the trucks all over the place and they can't because the truck wiggles underneath them. So they sit and play with them instead of being active and then they get bored after about 10mins. They will not get the oppurtunity to haul rocks and dirt because it is not sturdy enough for that. A dump truck that can't haul that's handy. What happen to toys made to be played with. Not really worth the money. I should have sent them back and went to Walmart and bought Tonka!!!!』
(A must for kids that like trucks!) 『My son got this dump truck a couple days ago for an early X-mas we had and he really enjoys it. I also got my best friends son one for his 3rd B-day and he really enjoys it too. It seems to be very durable except for the mirrors which look like they will break fairly easy. The truck is a little costly but it isn't like any other toy dump truck this looks like a real mack you see on the road. I recommend this for any kid who loves big trucks!』

Tires&body sturdy but more suitable for indoor play. Front wheels do not turn so truck has to be skidded around curves. Definitely not for child who likes to ride on or crash his trucks. A bit smaller than advertised: 20" L, 6.75" W, 9" Ht. He and his brother (7) have given this truck a lot of use and it has held up to all their play. And they love it. It looks like the real thing and has lots of working parts. (Great toy truck!) 『My son just received this garbage truck from his Grandpa today. I agree with some of the other reviews in that this truck may not hold up to rough play, but so far, so good! My 2 1/2 year old son played with it for 2 solid hours and would've played longer had it not been dinner time! My son had no problem figuring out how to attach the garbage cans to the back, and how to operate the various parts. The price is exorbitant, but it's a gift from Grandpa. Thanks to the other reviews, I know to supervise my son while he plays with this truck, and remind him that there are fragile parts, and that he needs to play gently with it. He's pretty good about things like that, so I anticipate this being a fun toy for a long time!』

(Kind Edward) 『Edward is an older engine who is extremely kind to everyone. He is even kind to the small engines when they get into difficulties, as well as the big engines even when they are rude or impatient.
Although Edward is the same blue color as Thomas (#1) and Gordon (#4), #2 Edward is a staple on the Island of Sodor--making it into almost every episode and Thomas the Tank Engine book.
Edward comes in two parts, held together by a strong magnet, and is very sturdy. My son has had his for years, and it still looks good as new! (Despite HOURS of playing).
Although he isn't colorful, he's a reliable fixture on the Island of Sodor.』

I would not recommend this to a friend, it was a waste of money.』
(Hard to play with) 『This toy is very hard to use. I bought it when my son was 19 months old and he seems rather frustrated when he plays with it. First it is much too narrow. When a truck is on the top level and he tries to grab it his hand gets stuck. The middle and bottom level are a waste as he cannot reach the trucks when they are on these levels. The ramp is cute but it is hard to drive the trucks across the track and turn it so the truck goes down the ramp. When the elevator is on the bottom level, I have to help him grab the little handle to help pull it up because again his hand gets stuck. It also tips over very easily. All in all I think this toy is a waste of money.』

The weak points in the minis are the tires.
The rubber tires are darn cool, but they are a little bit thicker than rubber bands. It doesn't take much rough play (removal from the rims&such) before one of the tires is ripped&no longer wheel-shaped.
Would I recommend these? Only if you don't want to spend money on the bigger Automoblox, or if you've got less destructive children. Otherwise, buy the bigger ones, IMO.
(My son has not destroyed his S9 mini sedan, but Daddy likes the toy more than he does right now... so that has something to do with it)』
(Fantastic toy - High Quality) 『This is a fantastic toy that my 3 year old loves to play with. We love cars and these are great toys obviously designed by someone who is into cars. The details are fantastic and the build quality is first rate.
As there are only a few parts per car my son does get bored with them somewhat quickly but always comes back to them to play with.
We have owned them for over six months and there are absolutely no concerns with durability at this point.
The tires are make of silicone (like the Livestrong bracelets) so I expect they will last for some time to come. These are not disposable Matchbox cars. These are high quality toys that will easily be in the family or passed along for years to come.』
(Automoblox) 『Automoblox cars are very attractive, roll well, and have nice, sturdy wood bodies. Not sure how sturdy the wheels are since the tires come off and seem like they can tear with rough play, but they have not broken yet. The kids have fun taking the cars apart and putting them back together again, like a puzzle game.』

This box provides a tremendous amount of possibilities to configure different fun tracks. It takes a little getting used to winding up the cars (and getting used to the stop n go car which needs to be bumped to be started), but now our 4year old is an expert and is interested in building his own configurations (with a little help - he's able to connect most pieces himself). This will really grow with him.』
(Race Away) 『Okay,here's the good and bad. The tracks are amazing in their endless configurations. However, understanding the different ways to put them together requires adult intervention....and then a lot of patience. It's definitely something that will grow with them. We bought it for 6 and 9 year old brothers. After Grandpa put together one of the simpler racetrack, the boys had a blast with the Darda cars looping around and upside down. There are two other problems. One is simply rectified. The container that the tracks come in is way too small to easily put the tracks away at the end of play. You need to be an engineer to figure out how to fit them in. They need to make a larger box for them, so that children can put away their toy. (We went out and bought a larger plastic box.) The other problem is that after awhile, the boys got bored with the one loop-t-loop track that was made, and it is not easy to change to another design. I'm sure as they grow, it will become easier. They love playing with it and the cars, so it's worth buying.』
(Not worth the money) 『We purchased this last Christmas (owned for 8 months now). The track connectors broke after assembling only three different configurations. The cars do not travel the full length of several of the recommended track designs and the cars wear out fairly quickly. We can't build all suggested designs due to faulty parts and they are very difficult to assemble for anybody under 6 years of age. We have replaced two cars due to the wind-up no longer functioning and at $10 a piece for car or replacement engine, that's ridiculous. When they work they are fun, but if you can find a cheaper alternative, such as mega blocks or matchbox tracks that work with all cars, go with it. Darda is glossy cool on the surface, but not worth the money at all.』
(Fun for kids and grown ups) 『We have found this to be durable and fun for all of us to try to create new tracks. Don't be fooled by the plastic container it comes with - you'll never get the entire set back in once it is out. We purchased a larger under bed container for the Darda pieces, and put other toys into the original Darda container. Buy extra cars -you'll want and need them!

After that day, nobody ever teased him again.
I recommend Harvey a little bit more than Butch, another character with a tow arm, because Harvey is for the rails and his crane arm is more flexible and durable. I recommend Harvey if you want to have a ready-for-anything crane engine added to your collection.』
(Harvey to the Rescue!) 『How can you not love Harvey. He is a strong, sensitive, lantern jawed, Steamie that can't help but be really useful.
Sir Topham Hatt had brought him to Sodor because... well, accidents do happen. But his admission to the sheds was not assured. At first, the other Steamies were unwelcoming because he was different. Their talk hurt his feelings even though Thomas assured Harvey that they would come around.
Percy provided the means for the Steamies to see Harvey in a new light. He went off the rails at the Bulgy's Bridge, providing an opportunity for Harvey to do his stuff.
And who doesn't have an occasional problem when they are playing! My son usually finds an opportunity for Harvey to save the day at least once a day.

My baby is only 11 months old and he makes little truck noises, and loves to hear it talk.
