(Great addition!) (Fun and educational!) (Crissy's Review) My grandson loved this train set. I started with a simple figure eight and four cars. I bought these cars shortly after Christmas to add to his set and have continued to add to it each holiday and birthday. It's extremely durable and will last through more than one child. Easy to assemble and the cars stay on the track unlike the plastic tracks and cars. Well worth the investment you make. I love Thomas wooden trains.. I wish the paint didn't chip easily. You have to expect a toddler playing with them to throw them, bang them, etc. Love the idea to teach little children the idea of recycling! This is a great addition to my son's train table. He loves it! It teaches him a bit about recycling as well. The only complaint I have is we're always looking for the tires that go in the car, but I think it is cool that they come out. The bins in the back car swing back and forth, which is a nice touch. We plan to purchase the recycling center to go along with these cars. These are some of my son's favorite cars (aside from all the engines!) The engines on the Island of Sodor know the importance of recycling, and this is a great way to teach your child about recycling, too. The first car is a troublesome truck who carries used tires. Please note: various other small cargo boxes (like the ones in the cargo transfer station sold separately) can also fit inside the troublesome truck. The second car has bins for cans, paper, and bottles, which sway and spin around. I recommend adding these cars to your collection if you would like to attach these to an engine for important recycling jobs. I like this set. It has a cute appearance, and gives the child a two piece train that they can take apart and snap together again. Watch the barrels if you have small children. They can be easily put in the mouth (My son proved that). The recycling cars are available to keep the Island of Sodor clean and litter-free. The 2-car pack includes a container car for separating recyclable materials, and an additional car for carrying used vehicle and engine tires to be disposed of properly. (fun) (My 3-year-old loves it) (Little people toys are classic) Lets make this simple as we are just talking about a toy dump truck. This is a solid build toy that should be able to handle much your child's rough play indoors and out. This includes the wheels and the dumping mechanism. The singing driver is a little bonus, if not slightly annoying for the grown ups, that has one of those triggers that the toddlers can't really break. While the driver is not poseable it is detachable for some action figure fun. Oh.. and don't worry about choking as the action (or inaction) figure isn't easy to swallow. The one thing I found unnecessary and kinda annoying is the "payload" that the dump truck comes with. It's just a hollowed out lump of what looks like is supposed to be a pile of dirt and debris. It's not even a round lump of plastic to roll around. It doesn't even fit into the loader that well. If there is any part of the toy that could be lost forever with the kid not ever missing it this is it. All in all this is a great wheeled toy that will give your kids some quality fun time without breaking down on the rough play. It would be a more perfect toy if more thought was put into all of the accessories. My son (9months old) LPOVES this little dump truck. He has played with it a lot and it seems perfect for his age. It seems to be very safe and the music and sounds are a very reasonable level so as not to drive me crazy. I am really pleased with our choice and plan to buy more of the little people vehicles to go with it. He loves it, I think it's pretty good. It sings a little dump truck song that I find annoying but he likes a lot. It's not too loud, which is nice. It also makes some truck noises. It has a plastic dirt pile in the back which is weird; it's just molded plastic that looks like dirt. My son basically took it out and got rid of it. He finds other things to put in the truck that are more interesting. He really, really likes this truck. Perfect for the preschool set. the little people can foster imagination in so many ways-in the truck or alone and the truck is colorful, simply constructed and safe. Still looks new!! Great for bath, beach, back yard, etc. So glad we have this and the articulated loader. Lots of real life details. No worries for safety. The Bruder toys for children are made with safety in mind especially those designed for children under the age of three. The products are colorful and constructed of a high grade plastic for durability. Children enjoy playing with the colorful trucks and tractors and they never go out of style. I bought the Roadmax dump truck for my 18 mo. old grandson. I have been impressed with Bruder's sturdy construction and non-fade colors. Kids his age love to put things in the 'bucket' and take them out--simple pleasures. My 2 year old grandson immediately took to this dump truck, and quickly got the point of the way the truck unloaded whatever he put into the "dumper"--cars, blocks, books. He pushed it around for a while and then went on to other things, but usually came back to the truck for further pushing around! The toy is colorful, solid, well-made and good for inside or outside use. I imagine our grandson will get lots of use of this in the park and at the beach as well as in the house. I'd recommend the toy. This truck is very well made. My son is 2, and he really likes how the cab opens. He likes to put his playmobil people inside the cab. The tires are rubbery and grip to the floor like a real truck! Little boys this age are often rough with toys, and this one is standing up to the crashing and other abuse! The sand gets into it and the button to operate the blade doesn't work, it sticks. But again, my 2 1/2 year old doesn't mind at all. Byron the bulldozer was just a fun addition to my son's Thomas and Friends collection. He enjoys pushing the button to watch the moving parts. Well put together, and has a magentic back, so it can "tow" the other toys. If your little one is a fan of Thomas the Tank Engine and Friends, you've no doubt seen the episodes featuring construction vehicles like bulldozers. Byron is a giant bulldozer capable of moving tons of dirt. His size, strength and skills are very impressive--and he knows it! His "caterpillars" are made of rubber and are movable, and if you press down on the back, the scooper moves up and down. If you're familiar with the wooden trains by Learning Curve, you may be a bit disappointed that characters like Jack and Byron are made of plastic. Grandson loves this Car. This one is kind of hard to find in regular stores and he was delighted when this one arrived. Easy to use and so far unbreakable. My son got his first Shake 'N' Go racer for his first birthday, and figured out how to use it almost immediately. He's since gotten a couple more, mostly of his beloved Cars characters. They're even more fun than the regular racers since they say cute things in addition to making engine sounds. In general, the Shake 'N' Go series is one set of toys that he doesn't seem to get tired of, and Mater is his all-time favorite cartoon character. An added bonus is the fact that these toys teach cause and effect (the more you shake it, the farther it goes), which is less trivial than it sounds for a 1-year-old. Note that the Big Toy Hut price listed here is about double what this toy costs in the major retail stores. I don't know why. Very cute car, durable as well. My three year old drops it , unfortunately throws it as well. It has gone down stairs, and even was put in the dogs water bowl. It still works fine and we are still on the first set of batteries.
