I bought this for my boyfriend's nephew as a Christmas gift. It was really cool, has a Gamecube styled controller, and sound effects from the game! I wish I could have gotten one for my boyfriend! He loved it.
We gave my 5 year old this toy as a christmas gift and within the first 10 minutes it broke. The red back "muffler" broke. It also stopped running even after we changed batteries several times. At the moment, it runs sometimes but other items no matter what you do it wont move. I am very disappointed since this toy cost over $50.00 and it was not worth it. My 5 year old loves mario and he had received as gifts several of the smaller versions of this toy and Luigi etc and they all work great. He kept asking for the big one to be able to run it outside. He has not been able to get it outside not even once. He is a pretty good driver, and it wasn't anything he did that caused it to break. We were all watching the toy and helped him take it out of the box and put batteries in etc etc. I have tried to contact the company but have not been able to locate them. BOOO
My son was estatic when he received the RC Mario Kart. Having always been a fan of classic Nintendo, this was a great Christmas Gift! The original Mario music made it even more of a classic!
I got this toy for my 3 year old for Christmas. It arrived on time and my little guy loves it. It is sort of noisy and I think he will have even more fun playing with it outside once the snow melts! Overall, I'm quite happy with it.
Kids liked playing with them, but they are a little on the loud side, especially when two are being played with at the same time. Takes up some space to store as well. But, kids loved them!

(I LOVED it ... and so did my nephew)

my 2yo twin boys are in love with this double-span bridge, which comes with 2 ascending tracks. the only caveat i have is that the two bridge pieces don't connect to each other (you need a male-male connector to do so, and that isn't included), and combined, the bridge&ascending track combo is too long for our nilo train table. so we just use the one track, or configure the tracks so that there's a bridge in 2 separate areas. otherwise the bridge is great - very durable and my boys love it.
I have three boys ages 12,6,and 2 and a half. All three boys enjoy playing together with there many Thomas pieces. This bridge stays together and can be used as a small bridge or both pieces as a large bridge without the two year old knocking it down easily. It makes building a more complicated track fun for the 12 year old without his younger brothers messing it up. A great addition to any set.
We have tons of Thomas wooden railway pieces. I can tell you that this is the one we use in every layout we build. It adds height ands is easy to fit into your layout. Sturdy and colorful too. I like to use it with the arched viaduct for a sturdy raised track that doesnt fall over.
Starting around age 2 the "World of Thomas" and his train friends became the biggest part of my son's days of play. If you are as deep into Thomas as my family is then the Sodor Bay Bridge is a must have. Hours and hours are spend pushing the toy trains over and under the bridge. Your first three starter purchases should be the trains, the tracks and then this bridge. Good Luck it is an expensive "world" your getting into!!!
I ordered the bridge and then read the review that said the bridge didn't come with the ascending tracks. My trip to a local independent toy store confirmed the review. After purchasing additional tracks ... and driving 4 hours so that the tracks would make it in time for his 3rd birthday, he opened the box and I shocked to see the tracks he needed to connect the bridge to the rest of his set. I guess the manufacturer has addressed this issue....

I played with it (the bridge, figure 8 set with battery powered engine, and additional tracks) for a good hour before realizing I was enjoying it more than him! The tracks are extremely durable. My nephew and his brother and sister all loved it.

(Tons of fun and Incredibly durable)

This toy was purchased 'by accident', on the typical situation when you are at a store and child just won't stop crying. So you grab the 1st toy you find and hope he settles for a while.
Well, let me tell you he settled FOR THE DAY. Amazing. I gotta buy that one no matter the price.
So I did, and the magic is still there in the toy. Everytime my boy breaks out crying, I pull out this gem and he will have hours of fun.
My kid really beats the toys, so this car has been beaten hard, withstanding all the heavy crashes and hits.
HIGHLY RECOMMENDABLE.

This train is awesome. The battery lasts a long time, it can pull a bunch of other train cars, and it has a light on the front. I would recommend this train to everyone, my kids love it!
The kids love this little train, we have added the hot chocolate car to it. The engine has working lights and sounds. If you like the movie, this train brings it to life. Lots of fun.
My kids love this engine. It renewed their interest in their train table set. They play with it all the time. They love that it makes sounds and goes backwards and forewards. It also goes super fast down the hills. Another plus they both LOVE the movie and love to have the toy that goes with it. This engine is worth every penny!
I received my train in a most timely fashion and I was very pleased with the item. It's constructed out of metal with very little moving parts which is ideal for little engineers. I was as I say again I was very please with my polar express train.
My boys love their trains! I got two so they could each have their own. They work well on Thomas the Tank Engine tracks.

(A Wonderful Train For The Entire Family!)

I purchased this Lional train in 'O' guage for my grandchildren and they and their parents just loved it! The Berkshire locomotives are very well constructed as are the passenger cars. I've added the 'Disappearing Hobo' and 'Chocolate' cars to the rolling stock. Initially, I didn't believe my granddaughters would like the train, however they enjoy it very much. Amazon provided a great value for my money!
This train is a nice train for the tree, but it is big. The train that we ordered was advertised as O gauge, and the one we got was G gauge. We thought we were getting a great deal on a O gauge train, and with the price paid we got a G gauge train at regular price.

We have had this truck for over two years and my litle boy plays with it daily. It is especially fun in the sandbox. The lack of electronic noise, gears, etc. allows a child to use his/her imagination. These trucks are well worth the money as opposed to cheaper, noisy, electronic ones that seem to have more play "value" on the surface, but really stifle play by dictating how the child is to play with them. This toy is especially great for pre-schoolers.
My overall disappointment is the lack of movability -- the cement cylinder cannot be lifted away from the truck bed. The wheels go forward&backward but do not turn&limits "driving" to pushing. Because the wheels do not turn, the truck falls over very easily when pulled. The front side mirrors are black plastic only-no silver paint or metal. The cab does open to reveal the engine; however, the engine is completely black plastic with very little model detail&no painted parts. Also, the engine is not removable for play or examination.

This truck seems more like a plastic model than a toy for a child. My grandson talks about his "cement truck" but plays very little with it. A more detailed description would have been helpful. The toy does not offer enough play/educational options to be worth the price.
My three and four year old boys love this truck . We have had it for two years and it is still very sturdy and in excellent condition. It's hard to believe considering that they sit and roll around the house on it. It's pricey but well worth it. Top of the line.
I would have given it a five stars if I were to write this review earlier. This is truly a great vehicle - my son got it when he was 3 and half and had not stopped playing with it until recently for about 8 months. His favorate way of playing with it is scooting on it - that's how he broke the mixer, after so many trips around the apartment. I am thinking to buy another one but wondering if there is anything on the market that is similar to this one but designed for scooting, too.
My son got this truck as a Christmas present and he plays with it every day...he loves to look in the window and turn the crank that makes the mixer spin. He looks at the 'engine' and pushes it all over the house. He's 22 lbs. and sits on the mixer daily and it's still as good as new!
