The Arched Viaduct is excellent. It adds some extra fun to my son's growing railway. The pieces are very durable as he likes to take apart the entire railway and throw it around. There haven't even been any scratches on the painted pieces so far. My son loves playing with his Thomas&Friends and we are constantly reconfiguring the tracks. This was a great addition for him to play with and take new journeys. We got this for my son after buying one of the value track sets and picking up some of the ascending track pieces. For my son, who is under 2, the viaduct was a crucial piece. We don't glue the pieces down (he has learned how to build his own track), so this sturdy piece really helped him enjoy his train play even more. It is a good follow-up purchase to the basic track sets allowing your child to enjoy higher-up track without it coming down too easily. The pieces are incredibly stable; you can even pull out the little wooden tabs and add another piece of track between the viaduct pieces for variety. Unlike other reviewers, we haven't had any difficulty with engines getting stuck on the ramp up. The engines-won't-fit-underneath-unless-the-track-is-perfectly-straight problem is only mildly annoying; a little wiggle of the track usually changes the angle enough to get the trains through without frustrating my 4-year-old. As I am usually the one building the layouts for my son, I really like this piece. It makes raised tracks nice and sturdy. Those track support blocks just don't work very well. The tracks constantly fall over with the riser blocks but not with the viaduct. Use it with the Sodor Bay Bridge for a nice sturdy raised track. Cute and durable, easy to use. This arched features with a peg support, which connects to ascending track and other bridges without risers. They can roll on the train tracks or on the road side of the tracks. More often than not, my three-year-old just holds them and plays with them. The light on the floodlight truck really lights up! No word yet on how long the battery will last, but it helps that the light only stays on as long as its button is being pressed. Though the crane and bucket on the bucket truck are plastic, they have a solid, durable feel as they click into the various positions. (Simple fun for the dinosaur lover in your family!) (What Fun ! ! !) (dino) (Expected More) I bought this for my 3-year old's birthday, and what a disappointment! I thought that the simplicity of the toy would make it more fun for my son to play with it, but it just makes it very frustrating, even for adults. First of all, there is no standing position for the dinosaur. Once you turn it on, a very LOUD motor turns on and the toy proceeds to turn around and around and around. Without us even touching the remote. The only way to make it stop is to pick up the dinosaur and turn off the power switch! The remote is a joke: there is no way to control the direction the dinosaur goes in! What kind of remote "control" is that? It only has one function - a button you can press or not press. When you press the button, the dinosaur moves forward in whichever direction he is facing. But remember, that he has been spinning in circles since he's been turned on. So it basically ends up being a random direction that he heads off into. Then when you let go of the button, he stops moving forward, but continues his annoying turning in circles. My son had become very frustrated everytime we have tried to play with it, because basically, he can't make it go in the direction he wants. Finally, because the toy is in constant motion from the time you turn it on, it drains batteries faster than it spins! We had to replace batteries after just two times of play and we did not even play for too long. I have not bothered to replace the batteries and now my son just has an expensive foam dinosaur with which to do some imaginative play. I purchased this for my 3 1/2 year old nephew at Christmas. After all the wrapping paper was ripped from the packaging, the fun began. I can say I was kinda surprised with the quality of the item, being a lot more sturdy and well finished than I anticipated. After we popped in the batteries in the remote and dino itself we were off to the kitchen for a hard floor. After turning the dino on and placing it on the floor, we noticed it spinning in place. After my nephew yelling it was broken I pressed the button on the remote and the dino took off! Basically the spinning motion is to "aim" the dino, and pressing and holding the button sends him off in that direction. It was actually kinda cool since my nephew caught on really quick and enjoyed the speed and motion. The toy seems pretty well built, and the soft foam coating is a nice feature for both kids, and your furniture! I think the only thing I would add to this toy is dino sounds, but that's a minor thing and isn't a deal breaker for this type of toy. :o ) Hours of FUN! Our son, now 2, truly enjoys hours of play with his new dino pal! Runs circles around him, and goes straight when he pushes the button on the trilobite remote, a nice added touch I must say! The only drawback on this toy is that is doesn't move well on carpet. great educational toy for toddler. Easy to operate. No sharp edges and seems to be quite durable. I expected that this toy would have sound effects. It would be a much better toy if it did. Doesn't trim well. Does not recover easily from any disturbance. Doesn't hover at all. Steering did not work at all well. I'm sticking with the $[...]-$[...] RC helicopters. Video is somewhat misleading in showing the ease of flying. The 'copter was purchased to be a gift. Positive thanks were received on it. Delivery was prompt. It was a successful purchase. I have long had two dreams: 1) to own a totally electric car so as to save polar bears in the antarctic; and 2) to build the world's first hovercraft. I came across this toy and quickly figured out that I could realize both of my dreams together. So, I bought 342 of these helicopters and taped them to the top of my Hummer H2. After charging all the helicopters I turned them on and got ready for take-off. It didn't quite work. This was a purchase for my 11 year old boy for Christmas and he was having a good old time learning how to navigate. He was using it indoors because it is super small, lightweight and quiet but he kept crashing on the carpet. The problem is that small fibers or hair would get wrapped around the rotor and then it wouldn't fly right anymore. Then the rotor fell off and the tiny wire that works it broke and is too tiny to solder. This all happened in the first 12 hours after he got it! I would recommend using it somewhere that won't hurt it during crash landings and where nothing will get tangled in the blades. Given the chance, I wouldn't buy one again because it's too much money to throw away for a day of play. In my 9-year old son's words: This product is not fun at all. It eats up your batteries. It can't even hover in the same spot for two seconds. I hated it. I would never never never never never recommend this to anybody. Mini Havoc Heli is Air Hogs smallest RC Heli EVER. This was an excellant addition! They are 2 and 1/2 and can handle it with no problem I truly wish we could dump all my kid's toys and they could just play with one: the geotrax. I love that you can add to it, I don't have many other things for my kids that you can add to that make them as excited! We love putting the train sets together and moving the bridges, etc. HOWEVER, I was very dsappointed with the functionality of this one. It looks cool, but the plane does not stay on the loop-de-loop no matter how you position it. So you have to manually move the plane when it gets stuck (constantly..)ANd you have to buy the plane seperately with the remote, which I thought was sort of lame because what good is the set without that? All in all great idea but design is not up to the usual standards. Overall, the Geotrax toy line is great. However, this product is seriously flawwed. When put together according to the instructions, the plane gets stuck in not one but two places. This is due to the bend in the track. This cannot be corrected without adding more track which will ease the bends. The other reviews are a little one sided. One reviewer purchased all three plane sets together and so had plenty of track. Another gave it 5 stars without even having seen it together. My recommendation for this product is to only buy it if you are going to buy one of the other airplane tracks too. Otherwise, it will be wasted money. My Granson love it. We hooked all 3 together. What fun. another extension of Geo Trax! This is one of the newest GeoTrax kits offered by Fisher Price. The blue GeoAir track seems to be durable and we have not had any problems. It is too bad that this kit doesn't come with an airplane (you have to buy airplane separately). One disadvantage is that the pillars that the bridge sits on have a keying mechanism that prevents using standard stanchion pillars (from Elevation Track Pack kits). Using stanchion pillars would allow the bridge to be raised two or three levels above ground level (bridge usually sits one level above ground level). Also the base of the Fly By Bridge pillars have a large footprint, so it reduces the possibilities of track placement beneath the bridge. Still, this kit is a fun one and a great addition to the GeoTrax product family. If you want or need track layout ideas, there are four track layout manuals on eBay. The newest one (volume 7) uses the Fly By Bridge, and all ten layouts fit on the KidKraft train table (48" x 33" inner dimensions). You can find the manuals by searching on eBay for "geotrax track layout manual". The new GeoAir segment takes performance and imagination to all new heights. The deluxe air track expansion packs include a full loop of flexible air track. Connect the air track to another geoair site and travel by plane or use the ground track connections to expand out to the rail and road world. The barnstormer includes a barn with swinging break through doors, drop-through hay bale door, push-along pick-up truck, articulated farmer figure, geoair track and a ground cross track. The farmer figure can sit and ride inside the truck. Use one of the new geoair RC planes to fly on the loop of track and blast through the barn doors. All the Thomas train products are great. We love them all. Great for kids using their own imaginations instead of watching tv. Arthur is a new character featured in the 2004 video release "New Friends for Thomas". He is a big tank engine who shunts trucks and pulls freight. He is as excited to work for Sir Topham hatt as he is proud of his famous spotless record. Only time will tell if that record will stay as spotless as Arthur would like! Arthur is one of my son's newest trains, and comes in an attractive burgundy color. He has held up well with lots of play, and my son enjoys playing with him. I purchased these cars for my grandson's 8th birthday. He really likes the matchbox-type cars and also has seen the "Cars" Movie. This gift couldn't have been more perfect for him. He says it is the best present he received, and none of the cars were duplicates! These cars are quite a deal if you look at the individual prices. The cars were shipped very fast and are in perfect condition. My daughter is going to go crazy over this gift.
