(If you buy a wooden train set, then buy at least two of these!) (Great idea if you had multipule kids) Read the strong reviews on this product and was anticipating something exceptional. The pieces do secure my son's Thomas wooden tracks securely but I did encounter a few glitches. These connectors raise the connected tracks about 1/8 inch above the adjacent tracks that are not/cannot be connected (such as bridges and other Thomas "destination" accessories such as the firehouse and tunnel). This results in the trains catching at these areas where the connections are disjointed. This issue is minor as they secure the elevated tracks together nicely, reducing the number of block supports that are easily knocked over. I do recommend Suretrack but just keep in mind they are made ideally just for sections of track and do not connect at bridges, tunnels, and other destinations. This clips are perfect for my two year old son. They hold the track down and the fact that it is a temporary solution is great. He has not taken them apart yet and he is the type to do this if he could. I just ordered more. I have to agree with the other reviewer, they are a bit pricey. You need a few boxes to be able to put a good size track together. overall I would say that i was pleased, they are durable, they work, easy to use... but, First off i think they are over priced nearly a dollar a piece! that's too much! it certainly doesn't cost a tenth of that to manufacture. because they have no competitors they can charge that. secondly, the track still falls apart on occasion and i am back fixing the problem. even when my toddler is trying to "play nice" it still breaks some times. sometime he takes the track clips as a personal challenge to get the pieces apart, but that's not a manufacturing error. thirdly they don't play nice with the imaginarium spiral train set. they are not compatible, they are too wide for the support columns. still pleased overall We bought a Melissa&Doug wooden train set for our 3-year-old for Christmas, and I bought two packs of SureTracks clips because I read another review telling what a great product these are. My husband only used a couple of them on the bridges the first time he set it up, but then saw how often the other elevated parts of the track came apart because our son would bump the track when he sat in the middle of it to drive his trains. SO my husband redid the track with SureTrack clips between all the elevated pieces and it is great and so much more fun for our son! His track hasn't fallen apart in weeks! I heard my husband telling another father how great these things are! I bought this because of one of the reviews I read. I have 2 boys aged 3 and 1. As soon as the 1 year old started to crawl we had trouble with all toys the eldest was playing with, but especially the train tracks. The baby would try to pick the tracks up thinking he was playing too. This caused some tears. Now with the suretrack the baby can come along and try to pick up the track, instead of pulling the track peices apart from eachother, the entire track picks up. No more having to put the track back together! Also when just playing, the tracks no longer split apart. It came in a timely fashion, in time for Christmas, so the service was great. My son wanted this after he saw the Thomas movie about the magic railroad. Even though the character is evil - they enjoy taking turns playing him. The pincher doesn't open but does have a little movement and is plastic. Hopefully it will survive the sons! was a big hit and had no problems w/shipping and service was well informed Thomas fans who have seen Thomas and the Magic Railroad probably are familiar with Diesel #10. For those who haven't seen the movie, Diesel #10 is an evil diesel who hates steam engines and wants to find the lost steam engine so he can put an end to all the other steam engines. Little kids will have a great time making up their own adventures or creating the original movie plot with this toy. I would highly suggest this toy for little Thomas fans. We also have a Thomas fanatic in our home and while we've been watching all the video/dvd's for months, I held out on the movie because someone told me it was terrible. (PS: It's pretty terrible, but your Thomas fan will love it so be prepared to watch it 100's of times ughh). Where was I, oh yeah...my son LOVES the Thomas movie and LOVES Diesel and Lady so I ordered both for his birthday. He was so excited when he opened his present and realized it was Diesel, however that quickly turned to concern when the first thing out of his mouth was "Mom, he's broken, the claw doesn't bite or move up and down". I don't know why LC designed Diesel this way since the fact that Diesel's claw can move up and down and bite is such a HUGE part of the Thomas movie. Regardless my son took him quickly to the Island of Sodor (his train table) and played with him for the rest of the night. He wouldn't trade Diesel in for anything, but Diesel won't get 5 stars because I think his designer made a boo-boo by not making him more true to his character in the movie. Diesel (and Lady) is still an important edition to your train set though if your little one is a fan of the Thomas movie. This Diesel engine is handmade from durable New England Hard Maple. Good is always balanced with evil, and in the case of the movieThomas and the Magic Railroad, Diesel 10 is a truly icky bad guy. My 3-year-old son loves his color shifters cars, so we bought him this to go with the cars (before he was just using tupperware containers with hot/cold water). Honestly, while it is fun for him and he likes it, I was disappointed. It is a lot smaller/flimsier than I expected it to be and think that for the price we paid, we should have just bought a squirt bottle and used some car tracks and tupperware that we already had. The games is cute and my autistic grandson loves it BUT the car didn't change colors!! Emailed the seller and requested a new car only, not the whole set. Hope they come through with a new car because I also purchased another car and hope that one works too. I'll change my review once I hear from the seller. That little boy was heart broken. A lot of autistic kids don't understand when things don't work correctly and have a huge meltdown. Surely hope this company comes through with a new car. My Son is fairly fickle when it comes to toys. Although he likes most Hotwheels/Matchbox playsets for a short period of time, they quickly go to the corner. This has been the exception. There is something inherently fun (for him) in acting like he is painting a car with water. Overall, pretty durable, can be used inside with a towel underneath it. Cars can be bought almost anywhere. Purchased for grandson's 5th birthday. He has many other hot wheel sets and cars and seems to enjoy playing with them. This is a new process for hot wheels. Definitely search for this at a retail store you'll pay between $[...]. It took me a couple weeks to locate one, however. The unit is very sturdy and not that messy, though it is clearly only an outdoor toy. Don't kid yourself that it can be managed inside! The spray bottle only rests in a depression, it can be picked up and is very easy to refill. It has a rounded shape which makes it very easy to turn and tilt in the depression in order to direct your spray from any angle. There are hot and cold water reservoirs with lids which hold approximately 5-6 oz. each. A removable small basin catches the spray water drips beneath the cars. When you have changed your car color, a lever may be pulled which raises the car and makes it slide down the curvy drive. A spring arm thrusts the car at the end of the ramp away from the base unit. The swing arm must be manually reset for each car-no biggie. My boys love the play value of this unit and it adds tremendously to the enjoyment of the color changing cars. The cars change color very quickly and easily. We have found it works best with just warm tap water, but then ice water. Cars can be dipped in the water reservoirs to make them half and half, or dipped in the water whose temperature will quickly reset the color to be changed again. Two thumbs WAY up!!! The color changing cars can also be found in retail stores for about $[...]-I got most of mine at Walmart (as a two pack; 1 color changer, 1 regular hot wheels car) for $[...]. They will only play with it for about an hour or so, though. They like games better. We bought this in addition to a set of tracks and trains we already owned. It allows us to build more, but I hoped that my son would be more excited about it. I wish there were more track pieces that came with the set. These tracks were a great addition to the original Geotrax rail station. The only thing I was not happy about, was that it did not include any sample layouts to fit it together with other tracks. Very good assortment of track for any GeoTrax set even a few peices gose a long way to expanding the layout. My son received this for Christmas, and really enjoys it! We just have the Grand Central Station, and this set really adds to the fun! My son was so excited to see that he can make his tracks bigger and better! (Target) (Great little toy) My son, 3.5 yrs old, loves this toy. He flies it around while watching the show. He has dropped it, tossed it, and generally plays hard and Rocket still works. The only annoying feature is the canopy. This hinge is just some tabs that easily pop out and we are constantly having to put the "lid" back on. On the upside it doesn't break! This is an excellent toy for any child that likes the Little Einstiens TV show. The figures are accurate and solid and interact with rocket... Gave this as a birthday gift to a 3 year old. He has not stopped playing with it since the moment he opened it. We haven't given this to my son yet, he will get it for Easter. It seems loud, but then my son is very loud, so maybe he will be able to hear it while he is talking, or singing. I picked this up at Target for [..], so if there is a target near you it would be worth it to see if they have it in stock and save yourself [..]!!! The roof/canopy comes off too much, like other reviews have said, but that's okay. Our girls play with it off most of the time anyway because they can get to the figures easier. The little figures are neat and pretty accurate to the cartoon. Real voice actors from the cartoon too. Rocket seems pretty durable; our youngest actually dropped it on our ceramic tile floor, and it's still ticking. As a musician, though, I have a couple of complaints. June says "Adagio," but the music is definitely NOT Adagio-- more like Allegro. And when she say's what's supposed to be Allegro (sounds more like "Allegra;" last time I checked, "Allegra" was a pharmaceutical product), the music is going wicked fast-- Vivace or Presto would be more accurate. Also, you'll probably get tired of hearing Brahms' "Hungarian Dance No. 5" all the time, because that's the only song it plays. It'd be nice if they'd have thrown some other excerpts in there too. It was the only toy he played with at the party. A big hit. The noise on carpet was not bad, I hear at home on the hard wood it was louder nothing a little packing tape couldn't fix. Also this bus is very soft plastic (flexable almost) we thought that was a good thing. Bought this for my niece, she simply loves it. It's very durable. The bus itself is not from hard plastic, it's made from soft plastic so it will not break or get damage. We had seen the toy at a friend's house and knew what to expect. It is a great first remote toy for a 2 year old. It's easy to control and provides immediate rewards. I feel we got what was expected and would highly recommend it. My 1 year old already had a remote controlled spider which she loves to play with so we got this for her as well. She gets a kick out of it and picked up the simple controls very quickly. It isn't very loud but certainly not quiet. Very durable and rather soft. I love the Kid Galaxy remote vehicles. They always arrive quickly, and are very durable. My grandson had been collecting matchbox and hot wheels cars since infancy and finally had to resort to carrying them around in an Easter basket, so this case is perfect. It is durable and holds a lot of cars. I bought two of these as Christmas gifts for each of my boys. It was $10 cheaper in December. They love the case! I was given two different colors which I was hoping they would do. When you order two, they do not give you a chose of color. My kids can carry their cases where ever they go. I ordered 2 cases (one for my son and another for his friend). One of the cases arrived with a broken clasp and the other looked as if it was about to break. I returned them and was given a full refund by Amazon. I still wanted the cases but didn't want to take the chance of getting another broken one so I went to a toy store to purchase them. Fortunately, they had about 11 of the same cases to choose from. I wanted to double check the clasps before I bought them and found that I had to go through all 11 cases just to find 2 that closed securely and tightly. The other cases closed but not very tightly and certainly not well enough that I thought they would last for very long with repeated use by my 3 y.o. Overall, I think it's a great toy - it keeps all of my sons cars organized and he enjoys having his cars all in one place. The car slots are even big enough to hold two cars at once depending on the size of the car. Just be aware that the clasp can be weak. I bought this (the blue version) some years ago at a store and i can tell it is unbreakable for a kid. My 2-year-old son use it push it and stand over it and nothing... still working. My son now is 4-year-old and still uses it as a reliable toy. That's why i bought another one (this black version) through amazon, well, then, and because his Hot Wheels is getting bigger and bigger... if you want just to keep them and show them i suggest you to buy this Hot Wheels Over the Door Display Case but if the kid loves races he will need to transport a lot of cars from his room to the track always built in my living room Also i read reviews about the other 100 car case Hot Wheels Rollin' 100 Car Case with Launcher (Colors May Vary) and didn't like what i read. It has wheels but i prefer a durable case. This is also a good way to teach him to keep all of his cars in a safe place. New graphic for 2006! Blue&Black Asst. It's even great if you are a Cars collector. i've found all of the cars by going to every toys r us, walmart, walgreens, kb toys i was near (NC, NY, NV) however i still have not seen chicks or the king.
