『My son got this for his 4th birthday. As soon as it was out of the package, he started playing and hasn't really stopped since. It is great for in the tub and out too. The octopus's tenticles come off, which is tons of fun for him. His does have some problems getting the pieces snapped back together, but I think with practice it will get easier. Definately recommend this. He also got another Matchbox little pirate set with the shark. I recommend the two together-makes for a lot of imaginative play.』

『I bought this for my son for this fourth birthday and he plays with it a few times a week, though it mostly gets play time in the bath since the boat and the various smaller parts float. He enjoys the pirate ship but it does not get nearly the attention and devotion as his Mega Rig Space Shuttle. The sections that can be pulled apart from the ship only form other smaller boats versus combining to make a totally different type of vehicle, so one ends up with a flotilla of small boats along with the black shell of the pirate boat. Not as interesting to play with as anticipated.』

『My son fell in love with this toy before even seeing it, hearing the sounds through the box. But what really makes this a great toy is that his hot wheels cars fit on it. He loves to watch the cars go down the loops and it was easy for him to figure out how to launch the cars. I wasn't quite sure if he'd be ready for it at his 2 year old birthday, but it was a great match for him, and months later, he's still playing at it. I anticipate this will be around for a while.』

It is make of thick plastic. I does work with some matchbox and hot wheels cars also. Some work better than others just try them out. Overall this is the perfect toy for a 2yr old that loves cars!』

『We just got this and my 18 mo old loves it. The noises were annoying at first but we got used to them. I followed another reviewers advice and bought the mini adventure cars as back up cars for the ramp.

I have found that most hot wheels can be used on here as well. he has since lost his first initial attraction to the toy but he still plays with it on a daily basis.』

With the Mega Rig Pirates Ship, living rooms, backyards, and bathtubs all become places pirate adventures. The different ship components are made from durable plastic, which holds up to playtime on land or water. Built with Styrofoam inside, the base of each ship will float, and with built-in yellow wheels, can also roll along the ground.
