I bought 2 Big Wheels for my then 4 year old son and 2 year old daughter. They have had a blast riding them for the past couple of years. Big Wheels are by far their favorite thing to ride. Plus, they're low to the ground and pretty safe.
The Big Wheel is not as durable as the one I had back in the day, but it is a decent toy to help get your kids away from video games and off the couch.

Don't get me wrong, Bruder's oversized trucks are interactive and fun, but what a GREAT lifesize working toy for the boy (which one you might ask, the 4 or 40 year old?) who loves to play in the dirt, leaves and sand. This excavator is made of sturdy metal and isn't very hard or time consuming to assemble. There's only one part that Jack gets frustrated with and it's the red flip-lock that holds the scoop in what I call the "off the floor" position that you see in the photo. I'm confident with use he'll get the hang of pulling back on the handles and easily flipping that piece back to let the scoop drop to the ground. (A boy's dream) 『My boy received this 3 years ago when he was 1 1/2 years old. He loved to sit on it in the house for the first year and turn around on it. After the first year, we moved it outdoors to the big sandbox. It has sat in the sandbox ever since.
My boy is now 4. He loves to go outside and "work" on his excavator. He can do everything really well now. He loves how it looks like the "real" thing. It has held up really great and has not faded or rusted. Some of the stickers are peeling off. It has sat for 2 years in all sorts of weather, including the scorching 110 degrees of summer and the freezing nights of winter.
My only complaints are that one of the bults in the "arm" of the excavator routinely comes undone and falls off. Also, it has been known to tip over a few times when my boy is digging while turned to the side position of the track base. It would probably be better if it was on a solid flat surface, but then it wouldn't be digging in the sand, right?

(Fast, Durable, Reliable and Fun!) 『My son is 9 and LOVES his Razor Quad. After reading other reviews and deciding to try it for ourselves, we are so glad we did! We purchased it in January 2009. After 10 months it is still going strong after major off road abuse! The 10mph speed is awesome for an older child, and though he is tall for his age, he has no trouble riding it (nor do we!) He makes sharp turns and it has never wipped out or flipped. He maily uses it in our yard, consisting of grass, dirt, rocks, and of course some mud! We have some slopes and yes it doesn't go full speed up a hill but its not far off either. It goes in the snow as long as its not too deep as well!
The Quad has held its battery life just fine, and charges up at times each night, since he uses it almost every day. We attached a wagon to the back of it with straps and he has hauled everyting from toys, to leaves, even wood logs to help us out! Its amazing that it can pull heavy loads like logs as well! Doing work like that the charge will lesson dramatically, an hour or two and then it will be in need of a charge. You can tell when its weak as it goes slower and has trouble uphill.
My son has banged it into rocks, went over nice size rocks / hills as well as "run over" nice size twigs and cones, pretending to be a monster truck driver! With the wear and tear it has seen I honestly am shocked nothing has gone wrong with it so far. I know we have tested this vehicle inside and out! We have had other powered ride on's in the past and none compared to this one. We do keep it out of the rain, and indoors below 32 degree's... otherwise its in our shed, or stays out on nice / non rainy times.
We have pushed it over its weight limit these past months many times, between hauling things, or just from the adults testing it out. If something ever happened to it and we needed a new one, I would not hesitate to purchase another.
As for Razor Company, I have never had to call them up so can not vouch for their customer service.』

With the bans on gas powered 4-wheelers in his age range, this seemed like a good option. It took about 10 minutes to set it up. Battery had full charge out of the box. First thing he asked the next morning "Can I ride my Razor?" He is having a blast on it. We did not experience the battery issues some have. Charged overnight and he's ridden for 45 minutes so far and still showing full charge. One word of caution...tight turns&full throttle will lift 2 wheels off the ground. Now that it is on and we have test driven it, we like how he fits in it, and we feel comfortable with the safety it provides. It is nice, but not exceptional.
But getting the seat on....
Suffice to say that, as best as we can determine, this Child Carrier is made to attach to a road bike and not a hybrid bike, like ours (a Trek 7000). Our frame is thicker than that of a road bike, so attaching the seat to the rear fork was just barely possible with the hardware supplied. It was possible, but squeezing the brackets around the fork so that they were close enough for us to even begin tightening the nut took a lot of muscle! We also had the same problem as another reviewer, in that our bike has a quick-release seat, and does not have the kind of seat post bolt that the seat needs to be attached. We were able to remedy that by removing the quick-release mechanism, going to the local hardware store to purchase a 1/4-inch hex bolt (which fit in our bike's seat bracket), and using that instead of the provided 8 mm Hex Bold.
At one point in our construction of the Child Carrier, we got particularly frustrated, and tried to find some customer support. There was a 1-800 number, which was closed on the weekend, and absolutely zero on-line support. I have gotten used to having some sort of on-line resources available to me, even if it is only a copy of the owner's manual, so the absolute lack of *anything* was very frustrating. (There is plenty of information for Bell bicycle helmets, but nothing for the child carrier.)
So bottom line, if you have a hybrid bicycle (or, heaven forbid, a mountain bike), be aware that it might not assemble as easily as it should, and you may need to make an extra run to the hardware store!』

(More than I expected) 『This seat was easy enough for my wife to install properly the first time by herself. My son's feet fit fine in the stirrups and he feels safe when we ride. The seat is very sturdy and I'm still trying figure out what one of the other reviewers was referring to when they said that this seat wasn't safe (I think they probably installed it incorrectly). You really can't go wrong with this seat and the price is likely the best you'll find. The only thing that might bother someone is that the safety bar of the seat might touch your bottom; but it really doesn't inhibit me from being comfortable or pedaling.』
